Women don't do makeup, wear skimpy uncomfortable clothing, break their skin barrier with a bunch of useless "skincare products", shave daily, go under the knife, suffer eating disorders and spend an insane amount of money on beauty enhancements for men. They do it for themselves. But the part of themselves that they're doing it for, is the part that grew up in a patriarchal society which tells them that their natural self isn't enough, that makes them embarrassed to show their unaltered appearance to the public, that tells them they're not woman enough if they're not "feminine". They do it for themselves because they've internalized the man made insecurities that have been pushed on them since birth. "I'd do this even if men didn't exist", we say, but that's only true for the society that we are in. If men were to have never existed, we wouldn't feel the need to go to such extremes for beauty in the first place.

Gothic Farmhouse Veranda 

A high tea afternoon with a feminine touch and plants. Baroque era accents. earthy tones. Sunny natural lighting.

I know I know what you're thinking. Gothic Farmhouse? Yes. I wanted to see what AI would come up with and if it would blend those two aesthetics into one. However, I think that Gothic is already a very detailed and opulent design, and then to request Baroque era accents, Farmhouse got lost along the way. Also, I think it is important to point out that my love for Gothic design/style/aesthetic has more to do with the Gothic Era than it does with black lipstick and piercings. I love goth culture, don't get me wrong. But when it comes to home decor and even the way I'd dress if I could afford it, the black lace, intricate beadwork, intricately carved detailing....Whether home or clothing, I want that cathedral look, that hyper-focused architect, artists on Adderall, seamstress on crack attention to detail. This is a veranda, a covered porch but just look at the architecture, that ceiling, the chandelier, even the carved design in the back of the chairs, even the fringe on the table cloth adds to this entire look and it doesn't all have to be pitch black but it still maintains that Gothic Era mystic and beauty. Including a "feminine touch" in the prompt was also the cherry on top for this because Gothic anything can feel very masculine but you can see how much softer and gentler this one feels compared to some of the others I've posted. You will see a lot of this kind of stuff on this blog. Sometimes it will be clothing on a character and sometimes it will be a home design but you're going to see a lot of it because I'm obsessed. I love it to pieces.

i don’t have anything to say about bianca censori that hasn’t been said before, that kanye has a history of abusing women and she’s probably in a bad situation, etc.

like very consistently they present female characters with complex thoughts towards their place in society as women, femininity as a whole, and facing issues stemming from misogyny, and then the payoff is always “my problems were entirely my own fault. i wasn’t strong enough, i was a coward. but now, i’m gonna work hard to be exactly what society expects me to be (which is what i want to be)! i’m gonna do better at femininity (which is still something tangible i can fail at)! i’m going to try hard at making friends (which was my fault for not doing)! all my problems are solved through personal responsibility (that im totally culpable for), effort (which i previously was not putting in), or you, a man! i am Happy and Satisfied with this outcome, can i be Your woman?”

and like hello? why are we here. what the fuck are we doing. why do we keep doing this every single time. can we not do the constant lukewarm attempts at criticizing misogyny so you can jerk off to your own thoughtfulness, while ultimately reinforcing patriarchal systems and brushing off any deeper misogyny-bred issues as a lack of deference to one’s rightful place in society? like maybe don’t do that? for fucking once? just an idea
