Someone mentioned Iron Widow and since this is like the one good modern YA book I've read in the last four years I instantly got sucked back into it and I am now coming to the realization that me shipping things like Trephacard has never been and was never going to be a one time thing

~A Deal With Destiny~

🔥Thrilling Spoilers🔥
🔮Chapter 6: Two Roads Diverged🔮
His fingers curled against the table, the wood groaning softly under his grip. The scroll. Her. Baelfire. The tangled threads of his purpose were beginning to choke him. Every lie, every calculated move—he had told himself it was all for his son. But with every step he took alongside her, the lines blurred. The carefully constructed armor of his resolve was beginning to crack, and he despised himself for it.
She was a flame that danced too close, unrelenting in her warmth. He had planned for her beauty, for her determination. Yet there was something he could not have planned for. Despite his powers as a seer, he had been unable to foresee her most formidable quality—there was a light in her that even the darkest shadows could not touch.
That light terrified him.
But not in the way one might think—it did not weaken him; it unmoored him. It made him question everything, including himself. That fact alone made her exceedingly dangerous. Her light held a mirror to the man he once was—and the man he could never be again.
His knuckles whitened as his temper surged, the storm breaking loose. With a sudden motion, he tossed the stirring rod aside, the metallic clang ricocheting off the walls. “By the gods, damn this torment!” he snarled, his voice raw, his chest heaving as his amber gaze caught his warped reflection in the potion’s surface. . . .
He had lived for two centuries, seen kingdoms rise and fall, their treasures crumbling to dust, yet he found his memory fixed on the soothing melody of her laughter—uninhibited, vibrant. What good could come of imagining how her body might feel in his arms—supple, warm, trusting? What madness drove his thoughts to her lips, wondering if they’d part for him as they had for that mulled wine the night before? The memory of her quiet hum of pleasure had been an unbidden torment, stealing into his dreams like a thief. He raked his nails against the table, scratching the wood as if to shake the vision from his mind.
Carnal desire, he could understand. It was simple, primal—a hunger easily sated. But this was something more, something insidious. It was not just her touch he wanted, nor just her lips he craved—it was her warmth, her trust. He yearned to be the one she leaned on, the one she smiled at, the one she…cared for. The realization hit him like a blade between the ribs, sharp and unrelenting.
“No!” he growled, shaking his head violently, his temper flaring as the storm within him threatened to erupt. He could not think like this. He would not. “She’s nothing more than a pawn! A piece on the board!” The words felt hollow even as he shouted them, their sharp edges cutting deeper than he cared to admit, leaving a bitter taste on his tongue. He turned his attention back to the obsidian pendant, his fingers curling around it as if it might anchor him.
The room grew stifling, the air thick with the scent of magic and frustration, every thought of her pressing down on him like a vice. His hand tightened around the pendant, the sharp edges biting into his palm, his jaw clenching. “She deserves better than a monster!” he cried, the sound raw and guttural, echoing off the cold stone walls. With a sudden roar, he hurled the pendant across the room. It shattered against the stone wall, a burst of dark sparks scattering across the floor like jagged stars fallen from the heavens.

it would have been good if Cindrella was more outspoken. And call out her family on not feeling **regretful and apologizing** after insults, ridicule and abuse.
#whose sense of fulfillment extends past her appearance#Disney princess 👸#They could have added hatemob in a form of their like-minded people like a choir#Straying away eye contact and narrowing eyes as if that person is hard to see(like they have a bad vision) and no one really telling to def#defend yourself even Fairy Godmother (who could be a project of Cindy's imagination who's also like thinks violence and insubordination#isn't an answer nor feminine)#You could add more realism to Cindrella like if you can't really stand up from home abuse what about abuse outside#Add hate mob that are the choir that would be perfectly even more realistic#And perhaps for a reinvention let her dad or fairy tell that you need to tell your abusers off tell them that choring is their job#And for the external abuse huz's mom tell you have to tell them off you have to attack(or smth of that) because by that you not only show#you can also answer-attack but you can do it twice 💪#Answer the bullies so they know you can do that not only that but doing it TWICE#And like imagine choring during your menstruation like wtf#Fuck them off you need to take care of yourself first#Cindrella a true story Cindrella grows awareness and a backbone#Cindrella and a choir hatemob#them be like “oh you need to look after my stuff and bag; oh sorry my bad that was actually my friend seat right here”#And tell her “if you don't behave nobody would love you” turn over to#“If they like me they just like me” “I don't need to turn into a downtrodden people-pleaser to be liked. That's fake” and#“good girls”go to hell#female socialization subversion#Strong Ella's#Tmnt#And not make abuse because of jealousy or smth because they've seen the behavior of#bringing violence into home and then not regretting and not apologizing#.Like the original poster have said “whose sense of fulfillment extends past her appearance or wedding plans”#That stepmother really tought that adopted daughter was a better option because other bio girls won't subordinate but really what's going o#is adopted one has turned into a standard house worker; specifically#a worker if not serving then beaten or insulted without regret or apology#And cindrella can be also called bruisisella

They're so twins-coded
Tumblr media Tumblr media
#don't mind me y'all my childhood love for Hinata just came rushing back STRONG and I love connecting my favorite female characters#the gag is they actually have a lot of similarities when you think about it...#love my low self-esteem girls who feel like outcasts in their own families because they don't fulfill a role correctly 🫶🏾#(including a difficult relationship with a sister fostered by unfair comparisons)#Hinata standing up to Pain to protect Naruto...Arya standing up to Joffrey to protect Micah...it's all connected 😁#hell you could even compare hinata/naruto to arya/jon because they're all outcasts with mutual respect + support for the other#also funny that Hinata gets hate for being too /feminine/ and weak-willed while Arya gets hate for being too /masculine/ and strong-willed#cause female characters truly can't win and will get misogynistic hate that people love to justify regardless of how they're written#my girlies are really tethered! we love iconic female characters who make insecure losers upset!#now that I'm thinking about it Arya with the Byakugan + her canon skillset would actually eat so bad omg#I just know they'd get along well and be besties 🤭 they'd train together + help encourage each other...bring real sisterhood back!#born to be twins forced to exist in separate fictional universes 😔#Hinata being a side character will always gag me because her development is better than some of the characters with double her screentime#no wonder she became one of the most iconic/popular characters of the series...see what happens when you're that girl? 🤭

Does anyone else get irrationally angry at how naturally strong males are? Like I know that there's a biological difference, blah blah blah, but I worked so fucking hard for this strength that I have only to be outpowered by some 14 year old boy who's not even trying.

A Furious Woman 6
“No, no mercy!” Juliana repeated, her dark eyes glinting in rage. “Only one penalty is sufficient for men such as you!” The woman snarled and the back of her hand swung and cracked hard across Don Pedro’s face, snapping his head back, the captive man unable to defend himself due to his bound hands. The aghast and shocked dilettante looked up at his captress as she sat astride him. “Surely not,” Don Pedro breathed incredulously, “you don’t mean to kill me, Juliana…?”

I feel like I need to write a video essay about how Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is about trauma and recovering from abuse, while being a cartoon filmed in live action.
