So the Bad Bachelors show never answered why Omega and Emerie are girls, what the purpose behind creating female clones would be, so I used Occam's Razor to put my headcanon out there in You Look Just Like Him. This is an exchange between Doctor Emerie Karr and Senator Riyo Chuchi.
During the flight to Imperial Center the Senator, Emerie, and the rest of her staff gathered to discuss opportunities and possible pitfalls for the next legislative session. It was a while before the group disbanded. And a bit after that before she could get some time alone with her.
“Emerie, how are you holding up?”
“I am doing alright, I guess.”
“Your new identity will hold up at immigration, don’t you worry about that. I won’t let anyone take you away.”
Emerie smiled and nodded in response.
Riyo looked contemplative for a moment as if assembling her thoughts, or working up to committing to something.
“Emerie, I’ve been curious about something, but was worried it would be rude to ask.”
  “Please ask away, Senator.”
“Why did the Kaminoans create female clones?”
Emerie stuck out her bottom lip, thinking it over. “It never occurred to me to ask, and Nala Se never volunteered why. But I can surmise for you if you wish.”
“I wish.” She put her hand on Emerie’s arm and she momentarily lost concentration.
“Knowing her, it was probably just curiosity. To see if she could.”
“Omega told me she was an exact clone of Jango Fett. How is that possible?”
“Well, Riyo. All humans are female at early stages in embryonic development. It was a simple matter to shut off some genes and turn on others relating to gonad and hormonal development. Nala Se probably thought of it as an intriguing challenge, as our XY chromosomes may lack what was considered to be essential information for the female genotype. She may have found work-arounds in our junk DNA to make up the difference.”
Riyo frowned. “So it was a purely intellectual exercise?”
“I do not know why she made her decisions. But likely, yes. The Kaminoans considered genetic experimentation akin to an artform. They cloned themselves as well, to the extent that they no longer reproduce sexually.”
“And why don’t you have more sisters?”
“I probably had dozens of older sisters who were not viable. You don’t get something like that correct on the first try.”
“Oh,” She swallowed. “Thank you for indulging me.”
She had no more questions. But she took the seat next to her and read off her datapad. Emerie could not help but look over and admire her frequently during the remainder of the flight.

So I know the books and EU aren’t considered canon (anymore), but in the book Star Wars: Brotherhood by Mike Chen we have a clone who is either:
A) a trans trooper 🏳️‍⚧️
B) a female clone beyond Omega

I love it! Which do you think it could be?

Chapter 15
Warnings: Violence, swearing, possibly blood
When we all return to the Marauder, Tech takes a look at the lightsaber wound on my arm, applying some cooling burn cream and injecting some sort of medicine into the wound, before bandaging it up.
"Thanks," I sigh as the cream numbs the burning feeling.
"You do not need to thank me. It is standard protocol that wounds are tended to after a mission," Tech replies without even looking at me, typing away at his datapad, before heading to the pilot's seat.
I sit at the back seat with Echo, Tech and Wrecker had them installed when we went for a quick supply run shortly after I joined them.
Gonky waddles over to me from the back, making some "gonk" sounds, which I understand as "Is your arm okay?" I smile and pat Gonky on the head. "I'm fine."
He seems to enjoy the gesture as he nudges me a little with his metal body. I take off my helmet and pat Gonky on the head again, breathing in the scent of the ship as I lean back in my chair. I can never get sick of the smell. The familiarity of Echo's scent, that minty one from Crosshair, the dirt from Hunter because he always sniffs it like it's cocaine, gunpowder for Wrecker, and Tech smells like the 501st barracks if the air was sour. Hunter says I smell like chlorine. I love the smell, it feels so welcoming, almost like the 501st, but in a different way.
I put my helmet back on as I remember that I'm supposed to act like a "good soldier" who "follows orders" to gain Crosshair's trust and maybe help him remove his chip like how Fives did.
I sigh as we take off for Kamino. If order 66 was issued, most Jedi would be dead by now.
Even General Skywalker.
At least Commander Tano left the order, so she should be safe.
How's Rex? Will he be back on Kamino? Is he okay? Should I comm him?
Echo puts a hand on my shoulder, noticing my worry. As much as I try to hide it, he's known me long enough to notice the little habits I do when I'm worried.
"Ad'ika, everything's going to okay," he says, looking at me with a slight smile.
"I'm just worried about Rex. Maybe I should comm him-"
"You can do it when we get back to Kamino."
I sigh at the mention of our home planet. I never wanted to go back there. Never wanted to go back to the white, sterile prison I escaped from just before the war started. But hey, it's not like I have much of a choice.
I keep my helmet on throughout the journey. It's more comfortable, really. No one gets to see my face in case I commit a war crime or something. Crosshair and Hunter fall asleep on their seats while I turn on the music from my datapad and connect it to the earpiece in my helmet, listening to Avicii music.
After a few hours of finding a bunch of music to listen to, I hear Tech say, "We are coming up on Kamino."
I switch off the music, still keeping my helmet on.
"It's good to be home. How long has it been?" Wrecker asks.
Not good to be home. And 180 rotations based on their schedule.
"180 rotations in a standard cycle, but galactic zone changes but the adjusted figure at around 205."
Oh. Damn.
"Wut?" Wrecker asks.
Are you that stupid?
Echo sighs. "A long time." He sounds so fed up, rolling his eyes when Wrecker agrees.
I sit behind Hunter and Crosshair, listening in on every conversation. I notice Crosshair turning to look at Hunter, who responds, eyes closed, with a "What?"
"You sure that Padawan died when he fell?"
"Sure I'm sure. Why?" Hunter opens his eyes as he talks.
"Well, usually when someone falls you look down, not across."
"Well some of us don't like to watch," Hunter replies as he stands up and walks to where Echo, Tech and Wrecker are. Crosshair and I remain at the back, I silently observe as he crosses his arms.
I hear thunder crashing from outside the ship, and it shakes me to my core. Only Kamino thunder sounds like that. I remember hiding in my bunk every night, trying to drown out the sounds of waves crashing against the supports. My squadmates laughing at me for being a coward, saying it was because I was defective.
One of the days the storms were much worse than usual. The thunder too loud for my liking, I could almost feel the waves reaching to the platform. I was sneaking out of my barracks, when I saw 99 carrying blasters to the weapon storage area.
"Hey Aris," he called out when he noticed me. "What're you doing still up?"
"I couldn't sleep," I admitted. "Thunder was too loud."
99 puts the blasters he was carrying to the side and puts his arm around my shoulder, guiding me into the barracks where the rest of my sleeping squadmates are.
"Cmon kid, let's get you to bed."
I climb into my bunk as another crash of thunder startles me, and I curl up into a ball in my bunk.
"Everything's going to be okay kid. Just relax and think of something else," 99 says as he puts the blanket over me, tucking me into bed. I smile up at him. "Thanks 99."
He gives me a short nod, his half-smile making the wrinkles on his face even more pronounced as he walks out.
That night I had the best sleep of my life.
And now 99's dead. And I'm all grown up. I sigh as I push the urge to cry down and focus on the present.
"Unidentified transport, transmit your clearance code," A voice from the front of the ship says.
"Clearance code? Don't they know who we are?" Echo asks.
"Must be a protocol drill," Tech replies. "Transmitting clearance code."
"Authorization confirmed. Proceed to landing bay one-tac-one."
Tech pilots the ship into the landing bay. The door of the ship opens and Hunter and Tech walk out first, with me following behind them. If I'm in the middle, hopefully no one will notice the new addition to the squad. Echo, Wrecker and Crosshair walk out behind me, all of their helmets off except me and Crosshair's.
Clones patrol the landing bay, and I spot the familiar crimson armor of the Coruscant Guard troopers. I scoff at the sight.
Fucking Coruscant Guard. Murdered a good soldier who just tried to do his duty. I would kill them any day.
"Shock troopers? What's the Coruscant Guard doing here?" Hunter's voice interrupts my silent trash talking of the Coruscant Guard.
Oh. Right. Forgot they were supposed to be on Coruscant.
"Level five lockdown remains in effect. Security teams, report to the command center." A voice on the speakers says.
Lockdown? For what? Kamino doesn't look like it's in any danger.
"This isn't a drill," Tech observes.
How perceptive.
"Aw man. What did we miss now?" Wrecker sounds disappointed.
"The end of the war," a random shock trooper answers.
"Say that again, trooper?" Hunter asks.
"General Grievous was defeated on Utapau. The separatist leadership has collapsed. The war is over."
"Just like I said," Tech says.
Of course. He's usually right.
Wrecker gasps dramatically. "It is just like you said."
I roll my eyes at Wrecker's comment as I watch troopers carry a body laid out on a stretcher covered by a piece of cloth.
A body? On Kamino? No battles happened recently...
A lightsaber falls out from under the cloth and onto the floor.
A Jedi.
So I was right. Most of the Jedi are dead.
The shock trooper picks the lightsaber up from the floor as the rest of the batch look at each other with a look that says, "something's not right".
"Is there a problem?" The shock trooper asks.
"No...problem. We'll just head to our barracks then," Hunter says, looking back at the rest of us for a moment before walking off, with the rest of us following.
"Best hurry. There's a mandatory general assembly at 1500," the shock trooper says.
We walk through the sterile, almost blinding white hallways of Kamino. I instinctively stay close to Echo, not to the point of looking like a clingy child, but still within half a meter radius of him.
Echo looks back at me. "You okay?"
I take a deep breath to calm my nerves. "Yeah. I just...never thought I'd find myself back here. Again." It's my way of saying, "I don't want to be back here. I'm so scared."
Echo gives me a short nod, which is his way of saying, "Everything's going to be okay" in public. We pass rows of troopers marching towards somewhere, in an almost robotic way.
"It's not just the clones on Kaller," Hunter says. "All the regs are acting strange." Tech looks around. "Let's test that theory." He proceeds to walk up to a random clone and asks, "Excuse me, trooper. What division are you from?"
Obviously annoyed, the clone elbows him in the side with his blaster. "Step aside."
"Oh, well they seem the same to me."
"I'm not surprised. I'd be annoyed too," I speak up, trying to lighten the mood. No one replies.
We reach their barracks and the moment the door opens, I'm greeted with the scent of oil, rotting food, and sweat. I scrunch up my nose under my helmet.
Tech walks in first, then Wrecker, who exclaims how it's good to be back while setting his helmet on a crate.
"The smell's getting worse," Echo comments.
"You're still new. You'll get used to it," Hunter reassures him, patting him on the shoulder. Crosshair pushes past the both of them. "Speak for yourself."
I hesitantly walk into the barracks, the smell gets stronger when I enter. I look around, observing my surroundings. It's quite messy, Tech has a bunch of random parts scattered on the table, Echo has a hammock at the side, and Crosshair's bunk has crates in front of it to block people from entering it.
This is the first time I'm entering their barracks. The last time they went back to Kamino I refused to go, and they went to pick me up in a few days. Those few days were the best of my life.
Crosshair goes to sit on the crates blocking his bunk while the rest of them go to sit at the table in the middle of the room. Wrecker marks the board for the number of missions we completed.
Still keeping my helmet on by instinct, I walk over to Crosshair, who's currently chewing on a toothpick, helmet off.
"Um. Can I have one?" I awkwardly gesture to the toothpick in his mouth.
"No," he replies. "Go away."
"Look we need to get you to the medbay right now or as soon as possible."
"Why?"
"Because there's an inhibitor chip in your head which basically makes you follow orders blindly and it's working for all the other clones except us but it's working for you and-"
"I'm fine."
"No you're not you carried out Order 66 and-"
"Shut up," he says in a dangerously low tone. My temper starts to flare up.
"Make me."
Crosshair stands up from the crates and cracks his knuckles, ready to draw his knife if things escalate. I draw my knife and get into a fighting stance.
"Woah woah woah. Easy," Hunter says as he pushes us apart. I glare at Crosshair, and he glares back. Not breaking eye contact, I sheathe my knife and shove Crosshair over just for good measure before heading over to sit next to Echo.
"11 more successful missions," Wrecker says with a grin. "Like there was any doubt." He goes to sit on his bunk, picking up his tooka doll.
"Kaller wasn't a win," Echo says.
"Says who? We completed our objective."
"Not every objective," Crosshair speaks up, picking up his rifle and examining it. I draw my sword from my back and start sharpening it absentmindedly, just needing something to do with my hands.
"Hunter let that Jedi kid escape. Or do you want to keep lying to us?"
Hunter stands up and looks out the window. "I don't like to think of executing our commanders as a mission objective."
Crosshair stands up from his position on the crates.
"An order is an order."
"Since when?"
They glare at each other for a moment before Echo breaks the tension. "None of this makes sense. Those clones served alongside General Bilaba for years. How could they turn on her like that?!"
"Because of the regs' programming," Tech speaks up.
"What programming?" Hunter breaks his death stare at Crosshair to ask.
"It's been well documented that the Kaminoans inhibited the cognitive functions of clones-"
"To engineer them to follow orders without question," I finish. Tech glares at me like I just committed a horrible war crime.
"Ha! We sure don't!" Wrecker shouts, assaulting Crosshair with his tooka doll.
"Obviously we are different. They manipulated pre-existing aberrations in our DNA resulting in your brute strength, Crosshair's sharpshooting skills..." Lucky son of a bitch. "...Hunter's enhanced senses and my exceptional mind. My guess is we are immune to the effects of the programming. Though I can't be 100% certain of it.
"Well Crosshair isn't and he's in fucking denial," I say with a sarcastic smile underneath my helmet. Crosshair is walking over to probably punch me in the face when Echo gives him a glare which makes him back off. He knows how protective my ori'vod can be.
"What about Echo? He was a reg before he joined us. And Aris," Hunter asks.
"Well see guys Echo was probably damaged on Skako Minor because look at him right now no offence ori'vod, and since I'm an actual defect they probably didn't even bother I mean they were gonna terminate me anyways," I laugh under my helmet. Echo pats my shoulder. "Good thing they didn't then."
"All personnel report to the staging area for a briefing on the state of the Republic," a voice says over the speakers.
"This is one meeting I don't want to miss," Hunter says, walking to the door.
"First time for everything," Tech comments as we all head to the staging area. Troopers stand in neat rows, helmets on as they stare up at the holotransmission of a hooded figure, they look almost robotic. The thought of their individuality...Fives and Echo's chaotic nature, Hardcase's constant urge to shoot something, Uncle Wolffe's sarcasm, Rex's parental instincts, all gone...it gives me chills. I'm hardly paying attention until I hear the word "Jedi".
"...And the Jedi rebellion has been foiled. The remaining Jedi will be hunted down and defeated!" The hooded figure says. "The attempt on my life has left me scarred and deformed."
"You can say that again," Wrecker says. I almost burst out laughing.
"But I assure you, my resolve has never been stronger! In order to ensure the security and continuing stability, the Republic will be reorganized into the FIRST GALACTIC EMPIRE! For a safe and secure society."
Galactic Empire????? Man the Republic sounded so much better though-
Everyone starts cheering, except me and the batch. What's so exciting about Jedi getting killed? Right. Must be the inhibitor chip.
I look around to try and find any 501st members. None here. I'll comm Rex later. Right now, I need to focus on getting Crosshair's chip out.
I sigh as I glance at Echo, who looks equally confused as me.
"Ori'vod?" I turn to Echo.
"Yeah?"
"I need to talk to you in the barracks later. It's about Fives."
He lets out a sigh. "Okay vod'ika."

Chapter 20 is for the square "accidental love confessions". :)
She is CT-9905, but she’s called Vision. Cloned from Omega when Nala Se was attempting to clone Force-sensitivity, Vision is the only success. Not only is she Force-sensitive, but she also has the unique ability to see glimpses of the future when she touches something, or someone. As she grows older, she is assigned to Clone Force 99, forever altering the course of history.

So wait minute, how many female clones did they make? Were they not on Kamino? Was Palpatine part of this too? Was Jango even aware of this? So many questions.

I would like to know more about female clones in S3.

The three more distinguished members of my (as of lately) Saturday evening Star Wars RPG group - Renna, the dry, opposite-sex clone scientist; Uurokk, the laidback, easygoing Wookiee; and Zann, who's basically Chiss Jack Sparrow. Updated version of the one I did on my IG, with the main difference being that Renna has a ponytail now, because she wasn't Emerie enough.
(Song is "The Beast" by Milt Buckner, by the way.)

It’s time for sailor Cody and sailor Obi-Wan.
I based Cody off of the eternals outfit and Obi-Wan is based on sailor moons star outfit!
Obi-wan’s was a bit harder to do as I did struggle a bit on his for some reason. Also the hands suck as usual.
Do you like it? Wanna see someone else as a sailor scout let me know!

With this cool app I can make any clone with a picture, I could also program I specific personality, I started out with 4 random individuals trying to test the app at first they didn’t move, they were like mannequins I could only adjust there position, but when the update came I could make them act like I wanted, it was fun having the four average strangers try to flirt with me or have say embarrassing things to the camera.

Chapter 9
"So how'd you know I was on that gunship? I was specifically extra stealthy that time," I ask Rex as we jump off the vehicle that Crosshair was driving as we arrive back at the base. I put on my helmet.
"You've done it 19 times, kid. I know when you've clipped yourself to the outside of the gunship just by the sound of it," Rex replies, not bothering to look at me. He's not even bothering to scold me for coming here without his permission. I think he's just tired of me, he does have a job to do as a captain as well.
But why should I listen to him anymore? Even though he's technically my superior in the GAR, I don't need him anymore. I'm biologically 20, I can handle myself. But clearly he doesn't think so, considering how he usually doesn't let me on missions anyways. He says the reason that he grounded me was because he didn't want me getting myself killed out in the battlefield because of my impulsiveness.
"But there was no sound-" I protest as the bad batch walk past me, and I stare at them as they walk to their ship.
They're really cool. They don't fit in here, just like me.
Rex nudges me in the side, I take it as a sign to go to the ship as well. Rex says he talked to General Skywalker and he says that he'll have to wait for the council to approve of the mission to Skako Minor to get Echo. I'm surprised that he lets me come along on this mission. I guess he knows that there's no stopping me when it comes to saving my brothers.
As I head into the ship, I receive looks from the batch.
"What?" I ask.
Tech looks back to his datapad, Wrecker goes to lift the gonk droid in the back of the ship, Hunter just sits there staring at me, and Crosshair is checking his rifle. I take off my helmet and lean against a wall, staring at Wrecker and the poor gonk droid, and then to toothpick boi.
Gotta admit, their armor is really cool. Crosshair's got that belt thingy with a bunch of places to store ammo, almost like my own. And then he's got that bar thingy on his left shoulder armor, probably for his rifle or something. Hunter has a random bandana for the dog shit on his head, with a small skull on it. Wrecker's helmet would scare the absolute shit outta me if I saw that first thing in the morning. Tech's helmet is cool, at least it hides his receding hairline. Whatever.  At least now I'm not the only one with dark-colored armor.
Anyways, Rex and General Skywalker board the ship soon enough and we set off for Skako Minor. Tech's flying the ship, while General Skywalker checks out Crosshair's rifle and Wrecker's still lifting poor Gonky.
"So, how many missions has your team been on, Sergeant?" General Skywalker asks Shithair as he passes Crosshair's rifle back to him.
"Honestly sir, I've lost count. All the action sorta blurs together," Hunter replies, and that felt like a big "skill issue lmao" smack in the face.
"I know you work with Cody sometimes, but who do you guys report to?" Rex asks.
"Hm, good question," Hunter says, crossing his arms. "Can't say I've got an answer."
And then I'm reminded of that "good question" Shrek meme that I saw on the holonet a few days before I came to Anaxes, and I try to keep a straight face.
Wrecker, who's still lifting Gonky, chews on a big ass chicken drumstick which I think was kept in the ship's storage area for days. Then, the ship suddenly shakes.
"We are approaching Skako Minor," Tech reports. "It looks to be a difficult landing."
So we strap in and Wrecker gently sets Gonky down, before going to the co-pilot's seat with Tech. The ship shakes a bit until we land on the ground, and we stand up and head towards Tech and Wrecker.
"Rex, what do we know about this place?" General Skywalker asks, Rex standing next to him. Toothpick boi and I stand behind them as I play with my knife, because I'm just kinda bored and need something to do with my hands.
"On this part of Skako, there's a race of locals, the Poletecs. All we know is they're very primitive," Rex replies.
"Primitive is being kind," Tech says. "My intel says the Poletecs worship flying reptiles."
Suddenly, one of those flying reptile thingies land on the front window of the ship, cracking it slightly. I look out, sheathing my knife into my wrist compartment.
"Oh! What the heck was that?" Wrecker looks out the same time as I do. "It's one of those reptiles," Tech says.
"I want that thing off my ship," Hunter says, sounding really annoyed, before moving to get off the ship.
"Hold on! Hold on! Don't just run out there," Rex tries to warn them but we all run out anyways because which one of us even follows orders?
We see the Poletec and a flying reptile thing jumping on the ship. General Skywalker ignites his lightsaber and Wrecker points his blaster at it, and I'm tempted to do the same.
"Hey! Get off of there!" Wrecker shouts.
"Hey, calm down. We needa talk to them," General Skywalker says.
"Why?" Hunter asks.
"The General's right," Rex says, and then I hear some more flying reptiles in the distance, and I spin around to look at them, blaster and sword drawn. General Skywalker pushes Rex out of the way so that Rex doesn't get clawed to death by the reptiles. We all point our blasters towards them, unsure of whether to shoot or not.
Suddenly, the flying reptile and the Poletec on the ship swoop down and grab General Skywalker. He's caught off guard, dropping his lightsaber, and I throw my knife at the reptile before it can get too far away. It hits the reptile in the chest, but not deep enough to be a lethal shot, although I can hear it screeching as it flies away. Rex fires his pistol at the reptile but none of the shots hit.
"I have a thermal reading," Tech says. "Point two five east, elevation 175." His visor is lowered.
"Relax. I'll handle this," Crosshair says, before attaching a grappling hook to his rifle and using Tech's shoulder as support (we'll never get to see this again this is so sad), shooting it at the reptile. It hits and Hunter attaches the cable to himself.
"What are you doing?" Rex asks.
"Going for a ride." And then Hunter's lifted off his feet, flying into the air.
I just stare at Crosshair, eyes widened. Holy shit that was fucking cool. Bro really has to be so pro at sniping.
And then I think of my own sniping skills which are slightly decent at best and suddenly I'm filled with a slight jealousy of his skills. Like bro he gets to be badass and do all those fucking trick shots and I'm stuck here throwing knives.
Shut up.
"Tech, I'm with the General. Hone in on my signal," I hear Hunter say through the comms. Tech and the rest of us head back to the ship and do so, before heading to Hunter's location. We land on a ridge near what looks like the Poletec village and run down to Hunter, who's near the edge, looking across at the village.
"That creature still has a hold of the General," Hunter says.
Rex zooms in on the village, and I do the same, seeing the General getting pinned under one of those reptiles' claws. "We're going in, but remember what the General said. No casualties, disarm only," Rex says.
"We're on it, Captain," Hunter says. "Wrecker, Crosshair, rockslide."
The rest of us slide down the ridge to the village as Wrecker and Crosshair push a really big rock down the ridge, and we run behind it as it knocks down some tall but not-so-advanced structures, using the dust as cover.
We shoot at the weapons that the Poletecs are holding, disarming them. I throw a few knives at their weapons, they all hit their target and disarm them.
We run to the place where General Skywalker is, and I see some electrified thing hit the claw that's holding General Skywalker, probably shot by Crosshair, and the reptile jumps back, letting General Skywalker dodge the rock that's rolling towards him. We all point our blasters at the Poletecs in case they try to do anything.
The Poletec that Hunter's pointing his blaster at speaks some alien language, and Hunter asks Tech to translate what he's saying.
Tech steps forward, presses a few buttons on that control panel on his wrist, and moves his visor down above his eyes. "He says he does not want our war on his planet. That is why he took our leader."
The rest of us still point our blasters at the Poletecs.
Can we just hold them at gun/knifepoint and just get them to give us whatever info we want?
"We didn't bring the war here. It was Wat Tambor and the Separatists," General Skywalker says.
Tech translates what General Skywalker said into the alien language, something that both Crosshair and I find kinda funny as I'm tryna hold in my laughter as we all lower our blasters. Definitely gotta roast Tech for that.
"Tell him we apologize for what's happened," Rex says. "But tell him the enemy is holding one of our men prisoner in Purkoll.  As soon as we rescue him, we'll leave his planet for good."
Tech translates what Rex said into the alien language again, and I try my best to keep a straight face. This is just too funny.
As Tech and the Poletecs talk some more and agree about sending scouts and stuff to help find the city, I run to the reptile that I threw my knife into and rip it out. It's wedged kinda deep in there, and when I pull it out, it's covered in red blood, dripping onto the floor. The reptile screeches and tries to attack me, but I shoot it with a stun blaster a few times and it's knocked out. The other Poletecs move to attack me, but then Rex and Tech help to calm them all down.
"Woah woah woah, calm down, she's just tryna get her weapons, no need to panic," Rex says, and Tech helps translate it. The other Poletecs calm down when what I think is their leader nods at them.
I pull my other knives out from the weapons that I threw them at and head back to the others.
"Nice going," Crosshair knocks his shoulder into mine as we set off with the other scouts, the sarcasm in his voice is obvious. I cross my arms as I follow behind him. "Thanks."
We follow the scouts quite a bit of distance and find ourselves on a really high cliff. The Poletec scouts point at what looks like Purkoll in the distance before walking down the direction we just came up in.
"Hope nobody's scared of heights," General Skywalker says. I try not to let it show, although sometimes heights get on my nerves.
Hunter and Crosshair look at Wrecker.
"Well I'm not scared of nothing. I just...When I'm up real high, I got a problem with gravity," Wrecker says.
"That's being scared of heights, Wrecker. You're real smart," I roll my eyes under my helmet, standing next to Rex.
"Speaking of problems," Tech, who's standing behind Wrecker, speaks up. "I am no longer picking up Echo's signal."
"I...I don't understand," Rex says. "You said it was coming from this city." He points towards Purkoll.
"I can only speculate, but it is possible there's a latency issue with the frequency caused by all these atmospheric disturbances."
"Or, maybe they sent the signal to lure us into a trap," Hunter suggests. "And maybe your friend's actually dead." He folds his arms. "Well, I can't be the only one thinking of that."
"Every mission could be a trap," Rex and I say at the same time, and I glare at him, falling silent. "This one is no different," Rex continues. "I'm telling you that signal is being sent by Echo himself! He's alive!" I nudge Rex in the side. "Be realistic, Captain. There's not really a high chance that that's gonna happen."
"I think you're letting your personal feelings get in the way because you left him for dead at the Citadel," Crosshair says, and I clench my fist around one of my knives, which is sheathed in my belt right now. That eagerness to punch him in the face out of pure anger, it's strong, but I resist it. Not really the logical thing to do right now.
"I had no choice, you hear me?!" Rex, unlike me, isn't doing much of a good job hiding his anger.
"Oh, I don't blame you. I would've left him for dead too. Besides, he's just another reg."
I'm breathing heavily under my helmet, one hand gripped on the hilt of my knife, the other with my nails digging so hard into my skin, even though my glove, it leaves marks. Even though Crosshair is directing his words towards Rex, it's having an effect on me as well.
And then Rex punches Crosshair in the face/helmet, knocking him to the ground.
"Yoooo Rex, just chill!" I try to get him to calm down, but he's not stopping. I pull out my pistol and point it to Crosshair's head as Wrecker picks Rex up by the back of his armor. "I called first dibs."
"Hey! Why don't you pick on someone not your size?" Wrecker throws Rex to the ground, who almost instantly gets up, walking up real close to Wrecker. "You'll be a whole lot smaller when I'm through with you."
My pistol is still pointed to Crosshair's head, my finger resting on the trigger, my other hand drawing my knife and pressing it under his helmet and to his neck, I'm breathing heavily, all sense of logic gone, it's the same feeling when Fox killed Fives. And it's strong.
"That's enough!" General Skywalker puts a hand on Rex and Wrecker's shoulders, pushing them away from each other before Wrecker beats Rex to clone mush, and then he pushes me and Crosshair apart before I can get any more blood on my knife.
"Sergeant, take your men and scout the area for a tower entrance. I want to talk to my troopers alone," General Skywalker orders, sounding slightly fierce.
Rex and I stay behind as the batch walk away. Toothpick bitch glances back at us for a moment, before looking away.
"Rex, Aris, I hate to say it, but...you have to prepare yourself for the possibility that Echo is dead, and this is all a Separatist trick," General Skywalker puts a hand on our shoulders.
"Sir, I have watched so many of my brothers fall during this war, and I try not to hang on to any one of them," Rex says, taking off his helmet. "But that changed when I heard that Separatist transmission. It was no algorithm. That was Echo's voice. I know it."
"And if there's any chance that Echo, my brother, is still out there, alive, we have to take it," I add on, taking off my helmet as well.
"I hope you're right," General Skywalker says. "But if, for some reason, you're wrong..."
"Then I'll deal with it," Rex and I say at the same time.
And I've learned to deal with it on my own. No "Dad" to comfort me or help me. That's what I did with Fives. And if I have to do it again with Echo, I will.
All I'll need to do is constantly wipe the blood off my knives, and make sure no one sees the wounds on my arms.

Chapter 26 is for the square "protection".
