The Other Autobot, Season 1 [Prologue]

Hi!

I love Transformers: Prime and have been rewatching it, so prepare for a new journey lol.

Also, I'm also putting Mayfly and Robyn into Bumblebee/Rise of the Beasts, potentially, so be on the lookout for that fic if you're interested (please let me know if you're interested cus I have a few chapters ready to go).

Now, here's the prologue and my theory about how the Autobots came to Earth, factoring in my OC.

It stands to reason that the military/Agent Fowler would be among the first responders when the Autobots crashed to Earth, so that's why I wrote it the way I did.

If there is a canon version of their meeting, I am not aware of it, so have taken liberties.

Anyway, without further ado, here y'all go! If you have questions don't hesitate to ask!

"Uncle Will, when you said I should serve my country, this isn't exactly what I had in mind." I muse as we drive to yet another base.

"I know, but I promised."

I sigh.

Ah yes, the infamous promise. When I was born, Mom and Dad named Dad's best friend, William Fowler, as my godfather (and my mom's best friend as godmother, but she's…no longer around. KiA…), so when Dad was killed overseas and Mom succumbed to grief and cancer, 'Uncle' Will became my only legal guardian and even now I'm nearly 23, we're still very close.

He never let me enlist as an active-duty soldier despite my many protests, but he did get me various army contract jobs as an inspector, weapons tester, etc.

Now, he'd gotten me a job as basically an archivist digitizing and organizing reports out of a base near Jasper, Nevada.

Joy.

"I know, hun, but you know how I feel about any other service."

I roll my eyes. "Too well. I'm too young and innocent for politics, too inexperienced to be a soldier-"

"That's not why, and you know it."

I sigh. "I know. I'm sorry. I know you're just looking out for me."

"Always."

Soon, I'm shaking hands with my orientation officer. Then it's setting up accounts and employee files, learning how to enter information, getting my clearance badge to be able to handle the confidential material in the reports, on and on, all while Uncle Will got to go home.

Ugh. At least we can be under the same roof when Uncle Will isn't out on assignments.

Finally, I shake the officer's hand once more and am dismissed.

I head outside to where Uncle Will is waiting to pick me up.

"Thanks, Uncle Will." I murmur. "I realize I haven't been as grateful as I should to you for all you've done. It's not fair of me to complain about the one thing you won't let me do. I'm sorry."

"I appreciate that, sweetheart." He replies, patting my leg without taking his eyes off the road. "Apology accepted."

Unsure what else to say, I fall into silence.

We get home soon enough and I cook us up kielbasa and potatoes for dinner. Uncle Will likes it, and I figure I owe him dinner after he got me this job.

The first day at my new job both dragged on and was over quickly, somehow.

Regardless, I find myself yawning as I grab my keys from my purse.

The rest of the week went by in a blur of boredom and repeating files (most of which I cleared to be deleted or compartmentalized).

Ugh! I want to do something that will actually matter! Like Uncle Will!

But until he says otherwise, I'm stuck on library duty.

So I race myself to see how fast I can get a stack done, but even that doesn't do much for me.

Finally, my first week is done and I sign out to go home and see what Uncle Will is up to.

On the way home, however, I notice a star in the sky, a really bright one.

The sun wasn't set enough to see stars, so I pull over, curious.

That's when the star grew brighter and bigger…and closer!

I hastily drive perpendicular to the meteor (or whatever was coming down to Earth in a hurry) and see a large unmistakable smoke trail as whatever it is continues a crash course for the desert.

On instinct, I drive after it, surprised at the distance it goes before finally crashing.

I pull my car behind some trees and turn it off, trying to think of what to do.

I automatically grab my phone to call Uncle Will, but for some reason, I decide to investigate first.

I mean, I shouldn't report til I have all the facts, right?

So I take a deep breath and grab my taser, just in case.

The meteor is huge! Easily the biggest I've seen. Only…why does it look like metal?

And why is part of it opening?!

I scramble behind a tree and have to stifle a scream as…something comes out of what I now realize is a spaceship! An actual spaceship!

More things come out and I have to make myself take a peek. They look like robots, each of them taller than me.

I'm trembling as I snap a picture on my phone and get a better look.

They seem to be communicating, but it's not in any language I can understand.

I try to get closer, but end up kicking a rock and alerting the robots to my presence.

Before I can get behind any cover, I'm grabbed by the waist and hoisted up.

That weird language sounds from the being holding me (a small-ish female-looking robot compared to the other taller male-looking robots) as I'm hauled into the middle of the group.

"Let me go!" I scream, panicked, beating at the metal hands, but I don't accomplish anything but probably some minor bruising against the metal. "Put me down!" The grip is strong, nearly bruising my ribs, which does not help my current panic at all.

The robot's head tilts as if curious, her glowing blue eyes (something I note in every face) flickering for a moment, as do the others, I note with a glance.

The one holding me smiles. "Hey there. I'm guessing you're a local?"

I go still. "You speak English?"

"Now we do." She replies coyly.

"Easy, human." The tallest robot, painted red and blue with some metal left unpainted, intones in a deep, serious, but ultimately trustworthy voice. "We mean you and your planet no harm."

I squirm. "Then put me down!"

The one holding me does at a nod from the tall one.

"What is your designation, human?" He asks, kneeling to get closer to my level.

"Uh…my name is Robyn. Robyn Burns."

"Robyn Burns, we are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron, or Autobots."

I swallow, trying to wrap my brain around being the first human to encounter aliens.

"So, uh, you're…not gonna have to kill me cus I saw you, right?" I whimper, the thought occurring to me.

"Wouldn't be that hard." A second male, this one not as tall as the first who'd spoken, painted white and red, grumbles. "No protective shell."

I back up nervously, but the tall one puts a hand on the other's shoulder.

"Easy, Ratchet."

I swallow, still incredibly nervous as yet another male, with a black and yellow paintjob, looks at me, excited beeps and whirring the only sounds he makes.

"They're hardly that interesting or exciting." 'Ratchet' snorts. "They can't even transform!"

"Regardless, they are a species we have not encountered before, old friend. We must be open to the possibilities on this new planet."

"Um…" I hold up a hand, unsure how to go about talking to these massive robots. "How do you guys speak English so well so quick? You were speaking a different language a second ago! And what do I call you guys, anyway?"

"Autobots, obviously." Ratchet snaps.

"There is no need to make her more uneasy than she already is." The tall one replies patiently and then turns to me. "Robyn Burns, my name is Optimus Prime, the leader of the Autobots. You know Ratchet's name, and this is Mayfly, Bumblebee, and Bulkhead."

I nod, feeling at least a little better now I know they're not gonna hurt me. "H-hi."

"You asked how we speak Earth's languages, Robyn Burns." Optimus continues.

"Yeah, and, uh, just Robyn is, er, is fine."

"Very well." He nods. "We learned Earth's languages through what you call the Worldwide Web or the Internet."

"That fast?" I ask automatically, slightly taken aback.

"They're hardly complicated. Mere data." Ratchet puffs irritably.

"Ratch, c'mon. Ease up, would you?" The one called Bulkhead (a rather, uh, rotund robot with green paint that makes him look almost like an Army soldier) chuckles. "I gotta admit, she's got spunk. I figured she'd freak out." He starts walking around, taking in the scenery. "If we're done with introductions, I figure we should start recon."

"A wise idea, Bulkhead." Optimus notes.

Almost before I know what I'm saying, I'm jogging up to Bulkhead. "Hey, uh, I can help you with that, if you want."

"How could-we hardly need a guide!" Ratchet splutters, but Optimus and Mayfly come to my defense.

"Oh, c'mon! Cut the human some slack!"

"We are strangers on this planet, and have yet to acclimate. I believe it is in our best interest to take Robyn at her word."

I smile, feeling oddly steady the longer I talk to these robots. "Great! So, um, this state is Nevada, on the North American continent in the country of the United States of America. We're outside a town called Jasper, near a military base, in fact." I start rambling.

"Military?" Bulkhead asks. "They won't cause any fuss, will they?"

"Frankly, I dunno. The base is more of an archive, really." I shrug. "As a matter of fact, I work there."

Ratchet starts to speak, but at a stern glance from Optimus says nothing as Optimus addresses me. "Perhaps, then, you can help us assure this military that we mean no harm."

"Maybe! My uncle is a Special Agent who could probably help, too, but, uh, he might not take to the idea of aliens super well." I shrug. "He's a bit old-fashioned."

I lead the way toward my car (unsure what I am going to do when I get there) when Mayfly catches my eye. Her iridescent green paint is beautiful!

"Mayfly, right?" I ask.

"Yep."

"I like your, uh, paint job." Is that weird to say?

"Um…thanks." Yeah, that was the wrong thing to say.

"Sorry. It's just that I like that color is all."

She smiles. "It's alright. I like it, too."

Finally, we reach my car and I pull out my phone. "I should maybe call-"

The sound of a helicopter reaches my ears.

"What is that? 'Cons?!" Mayfly snaps, and her hands change into some kind of gun! In fact, all their hands form guns!

"Wait, hold on!" I cry. "Don't shoot! I think I who it-" As if on cue, my phone rings. I instantly pick up. "Hello, Robyn-"

"Are you out of your Star Spangled mind?!" Yup. Uncle Will saw the Meteor and is probably inbound. Maybe on the chopper…or in the trucks I can see coming in. Either way, it's clear he sees the robots and me.

"Uncle Will, please! I need you to listen! They're not dangerous!"

"I'll believe it when I see it!"

"Trust me! They could've easily killed me, but they didn't! Trust me, please! I can explain!"

The few military trucks pull up, and Uncle Will gets out, hanging up his phone.

"There had better be a darn good explanation, young lady!" He snaps, coming right up to me.

Optimus motions for calm as the Autobots tense.

I lick my lips. "There is, I promise. I was going home when I saw what I thought was a meteor, so I went to investigate, wanting to be able to report all the facts before we jumped the gun. I found these guys. They're friendly, Uncle Will."

"What she says is true." Optimus speaks up preemptively, causing Uncle Will to flinch as he slowly crouches closer to Uncle Will's level.

"It can talk?" He whispers.

"Yup. In English, thanks to the Internet, apparently."

"My name is Optimus Prime, and we are autonomous robotic organisms from the planet Cybertron, or Autobots for short. We mean this planet and it's people no harm. Our ship was damaged and we crashed here. We have no hostile intent."

"...Robyn, I don't think the Pentagon is gonna like this." Uncle Will sighs, pinching the bridge of his nose.

"I know, but we're gonna have to tell at least someone so the military know not to attack them. We can say they're prototype weapons or whatever, just let them stay. I mean, it's not every day we get visitors from space."

"No…no it is not." Uncle Will sighs, orders the troops to back off, and turns to the gathered robots-er, Autobots.

"Uh…welcome to Earth, I guess."

Transformers G1 S4 notes:

Set a few years after The Rebirth, the Autobots’ Galactic Alliance with humans and other alien races are going great. An explosion of technological evolution has occurred for humans and Autobots, resulting in the creation of Micromaster, Pretender and Action Master technology.

Micromasters for fuel efficiency and to better interact with smaller life forms.

Pretender technology exists for similar reasons, as well as espionage and better disguise to surprise Decepticon raiders on other planets.

Action Master tech is more experimental, but was designed for greater combat efficiency against Decepticons, Quintessons and other unscrupulous forces.

The Decepticons have been desperately trying to obtain a viable fuel source to properly revive the glory of the Decepticon empire, and have been reduced to desperate means. Unable to keep their normal sized troops efficiently powered, they’ve copied Micromaster and Pretender technology in an attempt at fuel efficiency. While Decepticon Micromasters have numbers on their side; they aren’t as suited for combat like their larger counterparts, are are pretty effortlessly swatted aside by the likes of the Dinobots. Pretender technology for the Decepticons have become more like life support suits, gleaned from the flesh of other aliens the Decepticons have captured and experimented on for their powers. Iguanus’ Pretender Shell was created from a peak specimen of Slizardo’s species as an example. The suits offer a bigger fuel advantage as it allows the Decepticons to ingest organic food, though this is seen by most, especially Galvatron, as disgusting and a perversion of the natural mechanical law.

In 2015, the miracle fuel Nucleon was discovered in a mysterious black hole in the Hydrus system by Optimus Prime, Wheeljack and Perceptor. Self sustaining and renewable, and highly efficient in running various machines, it was seen as a new form of clean energy beneficial to Autobots and humans.

Trial runs began on it being a fuel source for Transformers among volunteers, but Nucleon proved to have unusual affects on living machines. On top of removing the ability to Transform on all subjects, it caused bizarre mutations: Hot Rod shrunk into a Micromaster, Arcee and Daniel’s Headmaster partnership was severed, inadvertently curing and solving the now 16 year old boy’s need for a life support system but also rendering him partially cybernetic, and it caused Goldbug to revert into back into Bumblebee among other irregularities.

Action Master technology evolved to suit these handicaps until something could be done to resolve these issues.

The Decepticons had stolen a sample of Nucleon, but ran into similar problems of Mode Lock and mutations, with the Constructicons permanently merged into a downsized Devastator and Galvatron having devolved back into Megatron but was stuck in a comatose state, leaving Cyclonus, Scourge and Shatter in charge. Shockwave, stuck in his shrunken gun mode, was installed into a terminal in Scorponok’s city mode to compute solutions.

The solution arrived when Shockwave discovered a tremendous spike in pure Nucleon coming from the black hole, a burst that rocketed towards Lookout Mountain on Earth, and was discovered by the Bee Team (Pretender-Action Master Bumblebee, Daniel, Pretender Eagle Eye, Action Master Scrounge, Pretender Catilla, Action Master Mainframe and Action Master Moonracer). To the Autobots’ surprise, they’ve discovered a 14 year old alien girl called Nucle-Ai, a being radiant with the power of Nucleon.

A small squad of Decepticons (Targetmaster Scourge, Pretender Iguanus, Pretender Snarler, Pretender Shellrazor, Action Master Treadshot and Action Master Krok) tracked this immense energy to Earth, and began attacking the Autobots over Nucle-Ai. Protected by Daniel and Scrounge, Nucle-Ai took notice of the struggling Autobots’ being insufficiently powered by Nucleon, she used her power to fix an injured Bumblebee’s transformation abilities, turning the tide, but tiring the already exhausted Nucle-Ai, causing her to faint on Daniel’s lap to the boy’s blushing embarrassment.

Back at Scorponok, an undeterred Cyclonus and Shatter agree that the “Nucleon Witch” is what they need to re-energize the Decepticon Empire to its full glory and restore their leader Galva-er-Megatron. Starscream, spying on events with his own crew Bomb-Burst, Bugly, Take-Off and Gutcruncher, takes an interest in the Nucleon Witch for his own ambitions…

The Bee Team and Team Scourge are the main Autobot and Decepticon teams for this “season”, with guest heroes and villains rotating out in spotlight episodes.

Micromasters from both sides appear, but I can’t think of any specific examples to show case atm since there’s so many. Hot Rod in his shrunken state has taken a shine to being the leader of the Autobot Micromasters, far more manageable than his original Prime leadership in his mind.

The majority of the Autobot and Decepticon Head/Target Masters and related Rebirth showcase characters are on Nebulos fighting against the remaining Hive enemies, and are largely absent from this “season”.

Teenage Daniel, Carly, Chip Chase, Grandpa Sparkplug, Marissa Fairborn, Dirk Manus and their 11 year old daughter Sue are the main human allies working with Nucle-Ai and the Autobots.

The Quintessons are the primary secondary antagonists invested in the power of Nucleon, and seem to have a connection to the mysterious black hole that it and Nucle-Ai came from. They have the Pretender Monsters in their employ along with the Double Pretenders Oilmaster (gorilla) and Webmaster (spider). They seek to use Nucleon to render the Transformers completely unable to Transform, and therefore fight back, so they may retake control of Cybertron and their rebellious creations.

Nucle-Ai is shy but sweet. A little overwhelmed in her current life on Earth, but has taken a shine to Daniel, Bumblebee and Eagle Eye in particular, and knows she’s in good hands. Nucle-Ai appears to have a crush on Daniel, attracted by his bravery and looks (the boy has taken up weight lifting to help train in fighting the Decepticons and Quintessons), with the attraction being mutual. Her favorite Earth foods are pepperoni and mushroom pizza and blueberry pancakes. Her antenna are a secondary set of “eyes” that can detect other frequencies and energy, being something of a Nucleon and Energon detector and early warning system when the Decepticons and Quints attack. Her favorite past times are swimming, as her race descended from a fish like species despite her reptilian appearance, and reading space comics. She has the unusual power to harness Nucleon and her DNA appears to be intertwined with it. Her ability to “magically” wield it and repair issues with T-Cogs confounds Perceptor but Wheeljack finds it neat. All that’s known atm is her race originally discovered and harnessed Nucleon, but it’s unclear if her race can control it as she can. She apparently has two younger brothers that Wheelie and Wreck-Gar fondly remind her of, while Mainframe and Push-Button’s argumentative relationship reminds her of her parents, which causes her stress. Mainframe and Push-Button catch on to this and vow to put aside their differences for Nucle-AI’s sake.

The Action Masters primarily use drones or modified Mechanimals. This includes the scrapped animal masks seen in concept art used by the likes of Starscream, Jazz and Optimus. Accessories like the flight pack and heli pack are reinterpreted as Mechanimals, such as a Condor for Blaster and a CyberBee for Bumblebee that combine and become the equipment. Action Master Vehicles, as non living machines are fueled by Nucleon, and possess rudimentary T-Cogs that are unaffected by Nucleon’s inhibitions.

Those that are both Pretenders and Action Masters are simply a means to advertise both gimmicks without overshadowing each other and grant wider combat advantages.

In the Stranger Things-Heathers AU, sort of the pseudo companion AU, this came out as the 4th season and the toys included female Transformers for the first time, but were mostly limited to Action Masters because of design complications in transformation. Arcee got a Pretender toy, being the only preexisting Female Autobot to get one, but it’s a technical cheat as the inner robot is a retooled recolor of Landmine. Shatter, Shellrazor, Webmaster (despite being Quintesson aligned) and Backdraft are the first known Female Decepticons in this hypothetical context. Eagle Eye is the latest female Autobot in show and the second female Autobot toy after Arcee.

(1) Since female discharge contains acid sometimes, do you think some mechs would be able to taste it? Imagine their delight when they realize their human can taste differently every week.

(2) LINGERIE! Not only our 'armors' are super soft and flimsy, there are specific variations of it for kinky times. I forgot who wrote it but there is a headcanon of several mechs would totally use their human's clothe to jerk off with and Optimus was included in that list 👀

I absolutely think so! Considering that the few things Cybertronians do eat tend to be metallic/acidic I can definitely see more than a few of them likening the taste to familiar treats like rust sticks and various energon goodies. I picture a bot (Autobot or Decepticon, it doesn't matter) bringing their favorite little human to the oil house, passing them around between friends like a blunt rotation so everyone has the chance to get a taste of their pussy.

@callsign-relic also has the delightful Tasty AU if you're into the concept of Bots treating humans like a delicacy, if you're more into the "soft vore" style of things. Not my cup of tea, but we aren't out here to yuck anyone's yum!

As for stealing a human's clothes (specifically underwear or lingerie) that's honestly a really big fave for me as far as TF fics and headcanons go. I've read a really good fic with Ultra Magnus, and @robot-horde has a great short comic with Cliffjumper and their OC here on Pillowfort! (I'm full of good recommendations today!) Other bots I think may go so far as to steal your underwear besides Optimus, Ultra Magnus, and Cliffjumper include Rodimus, Frenzy, and TFA Prowl.

Yandere Soundwave X female AUTOBOT reader (no human reader please) who is essentially the opposite of Soundwave.

I got you.

The reader is an Autobot named Amber Light (Requster’s OC not mine), a medic who works alongside Ratchet with the Autobots. Soundwave has always had a crush on her even before the war started. While she was more extroverted and talkative, Soundwave was always pretty quiet and as much as he didn't want to admit it, kind of shy. His crush on her formed when she protected Laserbeak from scavagers trying to scrap him for spare parts when he got separated from Soundwave. Ever since he couldn't stop thinking about her.

He never got to confess his feelings due to the war starting, pinning them against each other on two different sides. Even when Soundwave is happy to hear that she's alive when they're all on Earth, he knows the possibility of them being together is low, due to the risk to the safety of both of them which upsets him.

However, fate has other plans for them, very complicated plans, with lots of twists and turns.

So heres the 1st part of this series of one-shots called “The Bird’s Prey.”

Starscream: “You’re telling me there’s another Autobot???”

Knockout: “Yes another medic, seems like she's been hiding from us this whole time. The cranky old doc bot was out of commission so this one had to fill in for him.”

Starscream: “Interesting, do you have any more info on this bot?”

*Soundwave was walking towards the room as they were talking*

Knockout: “From what Breakdown and I have heard the Autobots refer to her as Amber Light. I think she's the old doc bot’s daughter. I mean it's not hard to tell, she's basically a clone of him.”

Soundwave: *Stops at the door and listens*

Starscream: “Now that you mention it, that name does sound familiar. Let's look deeper shall we?” *He goes to the main computer and looks up her name in the files* “Ah, her, I remember now, she was a medic for the military before the war. Very talkative thing she was.”

Soundwave: *Quickly walks over to the computer and looks over the file*

Starscream: “Wah- Hey! You could at least say excuse me before you come barging in like that.”

Soundwave: *Just Stares at the computer*

Knockout: “What's his deal?”

Starscream: “Knowing him he's probably figuring out how we can get our hands on her, she has a lot of useful information and can be useful to our cause. Of course, we would have to use certain tactics to get her to talk.”

Knockout: “Such as?”

Starscream: *Raises up one of his claws* “Very…Persuasive tactics.”

*Suddenly one of Soundwave’s tentacles grabbed his hand and squeezed it tightly*

Starscream: “What the-?! Soundwave! What do you think you're doing?!” *Trying to rip the tentacle off*

*The grip only became tighter almost snapping his wrist*

Starscream: “Let me go you imbecile!”

Soundwave: *Death glaring him*

*The doors opened as Megatron walked in*

Megatron: “What is going on here??”

Soundwave: *Looks at Megatron and retracts his tentacle*

Starscream: *Rubbing his wrist* “Lord Megatron, Knockout found some info on an Autobot that's been hiding in the shadows. This is the first time we've seen her on Earth. Her name is Amber Light, it turns out she's the daughter of Ratchet.”

Megatron: “Hmmm interesting..” *He looked at the file* “Another medic hm? Military rank too..She can be useful.”

Knockout: “It seems that Soundwave also has an interest in her, he may know more about her than we do.”

Megatron: “Hm, in that case, Soundwave, you'll be in charge of keeping track of this new Autobot. Keep an eye out for anything useful she might have, once you do, you'll bring her to us. I can trust you to succeed in this task..right?”

Soundwave: *Nod*

*He then extracted the file from the computer keeping it in a data chip taking it with his tentacle*

Megatron: “Don’t disappoint me Soundwave, I expect great results from you.”

Soundwave: *Nods and walks out with the file*

Knockout: “I don't know what it is, but I have a feeling there's a lot more to him accepting this task than simply following Lord Megatron’s orders.”

Starscream: *Scoffs* “If it's something to get him riled up enough to nearly break my servo, then it must be…”

*Outside the command center in the halls of the ship, Soundwave pulled out the file as it projected Amber Light’s picture, and stared at it*

Soundwave: ………:D

Blades loves Anime, specifically MHA(My Hero Academia)

Hotshot is good with dates, physics,geometry,and also BODMAS.

Hoist is an animal and nature lover.

Boulder is the tallest in human form.

Whirl loves doing gymnastics.

Blades is the shortest in human form.

The Bots and Recruits have special necklaces and earrings with Energon crystals so they can turn human.

Heatwave and Quickshadow are together(married)sparkmates.

Wedge loves to tease Hotshot.

Chase is the fastest, and loves writing poems and stories.

Bumblebee is Blades’ best friend, and sees him as a brother.

Medix and Ratchet are related. Medix is Ratchet’s nephew.

Heatwave and Hotshot see each other as father and son. In fact, Heatwave adopted Hotshot. 

Blurr is now a mentor at the academy, and his student is Snowflake(MY TFRBA oc)

Salvage makes new inventions with Frankie,Hoist and Doc Greene.

Medix is more mature and tries to go with the flow. But he does have autism and OCD. But he’s even funnier.

Hoist and Grimlock are buddies now.

Boulder is good with haircuts,he actually cut Blades’ hair for the first time.

Wedge tries to be tough,but he’s a big softie.

Chase is more funny, and he would sometimes let the recruits take breaks.

Blades adopts a human girl named Meg after he and the team had saved her from bad foster care. He also adopted a young female baby Autobot named Arix.

The Rescue Bots and Recruits love playing games like Roblox, Minecraft and Gartic Phone.

Hotshot and Whirl both have ADHD.

Medix may have developed love interest for Snowflake.

Blades is married to his soulmate and teammate,Windblade!

Blades has agrophobia and is timid most of the time.

Blurr goes through depression and sometimes isn’t sure if he was meant to be a Rescue Bot.

Whirl sees Chase as not only her idol, but as her dad and protector.

Cody would sometimes tell stories to the rescue bots.

Dani and Taylor started dating. 

Chase is autistic.

Snowflake(my RBA OC) is the shortest of the group, yet tries to be agile. But she’s more on the gentle and sweet caring side of her.

Hotshot hugged Heatwave hard when there was an alligator or a crocodile near the academy. Hotshot is scared of big reptiles.

Wedge is still afraid of heights. He developed acrophobia(fear of heights), just like Blades.

Bumblebee knows sign language.

Hotshot is going through a bit of depression, and also tries to not feel sad when he thinks about his real parents and what happened to them.

Graham finally shared his feelings with Amy, and now they’re dating.

New Transformers OC: Wingstar!

Name: Wingstar

Continuity: Aligned (design based off Transformers: Prime)

Gender: Female (She/Her)

Alignment: Decepticons (changes to Autobots later during the war)

Team: The main Decepticon cast of TFPrime (later switched to Team Prime/Team Bee sometime during S2-S3 of Prime)

Alternate Mode: F-16 Fighting Falcon (formerly Cybertronian Fighter Jet (WFC) and layer Cybertronian Fighter Jet (RID15))

Personality:

Many Decepticons don’t even know why Wingstar is in their ranks, even her fellow Seekers, thinks she’s a liability. Mostly because she mostly cowers and runs away instead of actually fighting on the front lines like the rest of her Decepticons, which gains the ire of many of them.

Despite her cowardly, shy and often meek demeanor, Wingstar is endlessly kind and compassionate and often spares her enemies, which is rare for other Decepticons, but not impossible. Some people think she would be a perfect fit for the Autobots, she refuses to join them for two reasons. One, she refuses to leave the Decepticons for later reasons and Two, she is afraid of the Autobots since she heard bad things about them from the other 'Cons.

But secretly, Wingstar actually has doubts about the Decepticon cause and secretly hates how they have gotten so far from their original ideals of peace and equality for all Cybertronians, and the only reasons she stays with them is because Megatron, Starscream and the other 'Cons convince her that the Decepticons are the only way she will have a true purpose in life.

But don’t worry, she defects later on.

Hobbies: Flying, being in jet mode, being away from conflict, running away, hiding in bushes, talking with Breakdown, Knock Out Dreadwing, just having a peaceful time in general.

Relationships (mostly the Con big 4 cuz I’m lazy):

Megatron (Respect/Neutral/Afraid of): Wingstar has a… special relationship with Megatron to say the least, she respects him, since he… well, fought for equal rights for all Cybertronians, but she also fears him, for… also obvious reasons. But despite this, Wingstar hopes that Megatron could recover from his madness and obsession with Dark Energon and hopes he would become a better person someday, which happens! Kinda…

Starscream (Respect/Tension/Afraid of):

Wingstar also has a respect for Starscream, since he is a well regarded and respected member of the Decepticon Battle Fleet and he’s basically the reason why she joined the cause in the first place, but she also has a bit of a negative relationship with him for… obvious reasons.

Wingstar basically… went through a whole lot of abuse while under Starscream, he would yell at her, punch at her, kick at her, scream at her and so much more. The sheer extent of the abuse was too much for Wingstar and left her deeply scared and traumatized from Starscream, and Starscream's about is the main reason why she left the Decepticons later during the war.

Unlike Megatron, she doesn’t hope Screamer becomes a better person, because she has suffered under his abuse and his and actions outweigh the good in her opinion.

Soundwave (Neutral/Slight Tension/Slight afraid of):

Wingstar doesn’t interact with Soundwave that much since they don’t work together that much, but when she does get to work with him, she can’t help but feel a sense of unease and tension around Soundwave, which is honestly kinda justified, considering how silent and deadly he is.

Wingstar also slightly hates Soundwave for blindly following Megatron no matter because he believes tha Megatron can do no wrong, and wishes Soundwave could see Megatron is a flawed individual and NOT perfect like he believes he is.

Shockwave (Tension/Rivalry):

Wingstar barely sees Shockwave around since he stayed on Cybertron while Wingstar went to Earth, but long story short, Wingstar hates Shockwave, not as much as Screamer, but she still hates him a LOT.

She mostly hates him because of how he commits brutal and disgusting experiment and how so… uncaring he is towards them and isn’t afraid to call out Shockwave on his actions, which leaves him deeply offended.

The only reason why Shockwave is the only one of the big 4 she doesn’t fear is because she doesn’t directly work under her unlike Megs and Screamer, and doesn’t seem him as often as much as Soundwave, so she has less time to see how brutal he is.

But I've been itching to make an oc for FMOD ever since I finished the main story! Do you have any tips or commentary aside from what was mentioned in your boundaries? Like for creating an oc to fit into the universe?

It really depends on what route you want to go Type A, B, and C wise.

Keep in mind, males can not be a type C alpha. That would count as a Detector.

it is rare for males to be omegas, along with betas. It is more common for a female to be an alpha or beta than it is for a male to be an omega/beta. Food for thought.

I would stray away from making a type C if you want them to interact with reader, they most likely would not get along. Type C's are aggressive with one another unlike Detectors are with each other.

An omega is very unlikely to be recruited as an Autobot. Something more like an intern for the Decepticons would be more suitable for them.

Other than sticking to what's already been taught within the series, I'd say go wild.

A short story of the Astro Squad with my human OC, Ettie. Some backstory building and some practice writing their interpersonal dynamics.

In the far off year of 2004...

If he was honest with himself, Missile Master wasn't sure on how grateful he was that the medic that Ultra Magnus had chosen to assign to his squad was a human. As he and 3 other members of his squad were classed as minibots and only two standard sized bots, the smaller dexterous human hands were more beneficial than other bot medics. However, humans were notorious for following their own rules and those little fuel pumps in their chests called "hearts".

At least this little human seemed to be keeping with his pace at the moment as they walked through the halls of Autobot City. He was only twice her height, so she wouldn't have had to run as if he were the Prime's height.

"This way," he said as he turned to the right. "The rest of the team is waiting in room AA125 to meet you."

"Yes, sir," she replied. Her voice sounded on the lower side for human females. Good that she could respond to a commanding officer right.

Soon enough, they reached the meeting room.

His team had been relaxing in their various ways when the two entered. Barrage had once again convinced Blast Master to a game of reflex with a ball; Missile Master was pretty sure it was called a "basketball". Heave was sitting at one of the computers hooked up to Metroplex's systems. Phaser was going through their projected ship manifest on a data pad. Moonrock was gazing out a window.

"Attention!" Missile Master called out. "Time to meet the new member of the team!"

Blast Master got pelted in the helm with the ball in his rush to turn around, but the others turned without incident. The ball pinged off his helm harmlessly before bouncing around the ground.

"Team, this will be our new medic, Loretta Caruso. Ultra Magnus thought we might benefit from a human medic on our upcoming expedition."

"Oh!" Phaser turned down to the manifest before back to the human. "This would explain why I was forwarded a human supply list! I was about to send a comm to Hoist about a mistake."

The leader nodded. "Correct. Medic Caruso, this would be my second in commander, Phaser. He is completely reliable and, anything you need, he has probably already has it on the list. Before we leave, I suggest the two of you go through the manifest to double-check as we will be away from Earth for quite some time." He gestured to the other standard-sized bot who waved enthusiastically. "That is his partner, Blast Master. While we travel through space, these two will be our ship and, thus, only available through communication." He looked back to their new medic. His optics narrowed behind his visor. "How much has our squad been explained to you?"

The human blinked up at him. "Oh! Some basic stuff. You're a team dedicated to deep space travel, mapping out new areas and general exploration," she said, "First Aid did explain that you guys were a team of two bot combiners? And he tutored me on the special treatments combiners tend to need."

"Good. We don't need as strict maintenance as he and the other Protectobots might, but we do require more care than single bots do. As I said, Phaser and Blast Master are partners."

"We are the only two who are same size and all!" Blast Master interrupted, a big grin on his face.

"Yes. Do not interrupt me," Missile Master corrected. "My own partner is Moonrock." This received a wave from said bot. "Barrage and Heave are the final pair. Barrage is our combat specialist while Heave handles our intergalactic communications." Barrage gave a short nod as Heave sat up to attention.

The little human nodded, her hair bun giving a little bounce. "Got it! So, as he said, my name is Loretta, but you can call me Ettie since we've going to be together for a while! I went through training here in Autobot City. I did classes with Sparkplug Witwicky and Raoul Delgado Herrara and then advanced classes with First Aid, Hoist, and Ratchet! I'll be able to take care of you without a problem!"

"Hello, Ettie," Heave said. Even with the face plate, his smile was audible. He always seemed to be more put-out than the others that the squad didn't get to spend as much time on Earth as other bots. Getting to work alongside a human was likely an excellent runner-up for him. "I'm sure we have lots of questions for each other."

"Speaking of," the human's voice trailed for a moment, "mind if I ask about the combining thing? From what I've been able to tell, some combiners seem like they've always been together while others act like that was something they chose later. What is it with you guys?"

Heave nodded. "Barrage and I have been together for only a short time, at least when it comes to us. You humans would think we've been together for ages! Phaser and Blast Master have been together the longest." He paused just long enough for the two to confirm. "I'm from the Burthov city-state, doing most of my studies there, and went to the Altihex research facilities later on. That's where I met Phaser and Blast Master. I didn't meet Barrage until after we started our first expedition together. I originally transformed into an individual rover vehicle."

"Full shuttle class bots are not as common as we'd like," Phaser explained, "so I volunteered for a combination program. We were partnered by the program director. It was thought that our personalities would balance each other's out."

"If it wasn't for me, Phaser would spend so long double-checking things, he'd never get off the ground!"

The flattening of Phaser's optics were enough to tell how he felt about that description. "And, if it weren't for me, Blast Master would have rushed off into space somewhere and gotten hopelessly lost."

Medic Loretta Caruso laughed. It was a nice sound. She looked back to Heave. "So how did you and Barrage meet?"

"I," Barrage finally spoke up, "got separated from my original crew. There was a planetary evacuation order--there was some sort of civil war and the captain didn't feel authorized to get involved--and I was too busy helping out some innocent civilians and missed the launch."

"Either way," Heave continued, "we picked him up when we came across the planet ourselves. We couldn't leave a comrade behind, after all. As for how we became partners, ah, well-"

Leaning forward, Barrage grinned. "Turns out he's something of a trouble magnet, so I decided to stick with him. Get him out of the trouble he gets into."

Heave mumbled something that sounded suspiciously like "now it's worse".

However, Missile Master had no time to get into that when their little medic looked up to him with interesting brown color humans have. "So what about you and Moonrock," she asked, "I've barely met you and I can tell you're pretty different."

Moonrock, in an unusual show of forwardness, gave a low chuckle. "While we were studying in Altihex, I would allow him to lead on all our shared projects and I've been his favorite partner ever since," he said.

Missile Master's face plate warmed up. "Our dynamic is beneficial to both of us," he said to rephrase the unflattering explanation. "As our expeditions tend to take us into deep space where we rarely have access to timely back-up, we agreed to undergo the reformatting process to combine into a larger and more powerful vehicle." He cleared his vocals and turned to look down. "Any further questions or shall we get to our final preparations underway?"

"Seems like we've got plenty more time to know each other on the way, so let's get this show on the road!"

"We'll be in deep space, Medic Caruso, it's unlikely we'll get many shows on the road."

"We'll do a crash course on human expressions too."

An update on the Transformers CyberWorld situation.

Without a shadow of a doubt, it’s the next cartoon as a new copyright notice on Hasbro’s part includes animated series.

So we’re moving on from EarthSpark. A well intentioned successor to Rescue Bots aimed older that … just didn’t stick the landing for many reasons (no Nightshade being Enby isn’t one of them, but among certain groups it didn’t exactly help either…).

So what can we expect going forward.

Honestly I think we’re in the middle of a shift, creatively.

Cyberverse & EarthSpark clung to a lot of IDW centric ideas about how the Autobots are shady & the Decepticons are the actual heroes.

Skybound and TFONE are to be returning to traditional Heroic Autobots and Evil Decepticons. Starscream & Shockwave are absolutely psychotic, Soundwave is more professional in an ends justify the means capacity, and Skybound Optimus being praised for a much needed return to the strong enough to be gentle vs the introverted millenial/Gen Z kid most stuff lately has cast him in. And just by official trailers and snippets alone, ONE’s fixed a huge problem with the cast system thing started by Aligned, by making future Autobots into the oppressed miners and from what we can tell, the future Decepticons being among those who either benefited from the system or joined Starscream’s splinter faction, a faction that likely has no benefits to Cybertron as a whole.

It does feel like there’s a bit of course correcting to go with a more traditional route most casuals expect. Even a recent toyetic promo for ONE where the actors play with the toys with some football players, among them is the one who calls himself Megatron, & the players express mild skepticism on an origin story, when they all know Optimus & Megatron are mortal enemies so why bother having them be friends previously or some such. I can always appreciate when a studio expresses self awareness and happily pokes fun at itself.

It also feels like they’ve realized they’ve both overexposed certain characters and also realized certain characters don’t work.

I think RotB and Skybound’s willingness to kill off Bumblebee shows even Hasbro might be sick of him now. His absence so far in early CyberWorld leaks seem to point in this direction too. A recent promotion and opening animation with Squad Busters doesn’t have Bee, but instead uses Elita. It also keeps Megatron and the Decepticons as the villains.

I don’t think Bee is going away, since he’s a major component of TFONE, Reactivate (whenever that sucker comes out), and that separate racing (?) game thing, but outside of EarthSpark, it does feels like they’re trying to move away from him a little. Cyberverse also sticks out as it’s pretty clear the writers wanted nothing to do with Bee after S1, but Hasbro marketing and rebranding made Bumblebee a huge focus, confusing matters, as despite the rebranding, Bee’s role had greatly diminished. (Like realistically, it should’ve been Bumblebee leading the Autobots during the Quint occupation, not Hot Rod if Hasbro was that insistent about it.)

Elita is also an interesting change. For years, Hasbro seemed content to ignore her (and her squad) in favor of Arcee, with Hasbro & IDW trying to beef up female presence with “OCs” Windblade & Pyra Magna among others to little fanfare. Indeed, Windy appears to be benched in favor of Elita-One who has gotten more attention post Netflix WFC (that god awful show did one thing right and it was bring back a Female Autobot people actually like to complement Arcee).

I stand by the series still has a villain problem, and EarthSpark didn’t help by trying to make the Decepticons sympathetic moody Autobots, but also not properly taking advantage of Mandroid, Croft and (so far) the Quintessons. This has been an issue for the bulk of IDW, Cyberverse, & RotB as well, by either omitting Megatron, trying to redeem Megatron into a good guy and/or his replacements not being up to snuff/killed off too quickly. Scourge & Mandroid were steps in the right direction but alas. The Quintessons are also a step in the right direction but Hasbro seems semi hesitant to do much with them, despite their increased presence. (I’m leaning towards it being most toys related to them don’t sell, which is what will make a future Void Rivals toy line interesting…)

So now we’re at CyberWorld.

The lack of Bee in favor of Mirage due to his popularity from RotB seems telling among the Autobots, though we don’t have Elita so far in this series curiously.

All we have to go on Decepticon wise is Galvatron, Scorponok, and Sky-Byte, but that’s still a pretty big change up.

While they still have relevance in TFONE, Screamer & The Waves’ roles in EarthSpark are mostly minor, with Starscream as the standout (in a bad fan fic kind of way). Skybound mostly has ignored Megatron, slowly building up to him in stuff like Cobra Commander, with Starscream getting the crap beaten out of him, and as of the recent issue, Shockwave’s fate isn’t looking too good, leaving Soundwave. It does feel like Hasbro is willing to experiment more outside of Screamer & The Waves, given their absence this far in CyberWorld. Galvatron is also a surprise, given the “Let’s make Megatron an Antihero!” phase started in IDW, that carried over to stuff like Prime Wars, WFC, CV & ES.

I feel like using Galvatron is an attempt to both move away from Megatron for a bit, but to also still technically use him (as a villain) as usually Galvatron IS Megatron. Scorponok, at least in comics and the Headmasters anime, is typically a main villain, but how that works here we don’t know yet. He’s either G1 Marvel Scorponok or BW Scorponok, there’s very little inbetween.

So I think what we have is a big change that is going back to basics like Skybound did, but is willing to still experiment with other characters to add variety. Plus let’s be honest, having multiple Megatron toys from three different things with little visual difference is a sign of stagnation. Shaking it up with Galvatron is an improvement post TFONE.
