Really REALLY insanely rushed ref for Bastet, One of my spore ocs!

She is a diplomat from the Feltaur empire, Specializing primarily in trading.

FINALLY made an up-to-date ref for one of my project's many spacefaring sophonts, The Feltaurs! As with most of my Sophonts, They were originally made in Spore, Fun fact!

One of my spore ocs I never talk about. He wants to be scourge warrior cats so bad.

This is Anubis, A daybreak character I haven't developed much other than the fact he's Bast's rebellious "Teenage" son (He's actually like 19 in human years but he has the spirit). He's one of the people the daybreaker trio meet when they go to captain school.

An updated design for Bastet and Sekhmet is probably coming up soon. They're long overdue for a redesign.

Interspecies Courtship

Sphinxes and Feltaurs are two closely related sophont species hailing from the same planet, Feltaurs being larger and more cursorial and Sphinxes being smaller and more solitary and disjointed with their pack behaviour. Sphinxes, However, Are known for their elaborate mating displays and flashy methods of communication. The two species didn't evolve side-by-side, With first contact only being established after both of them had advanced rather significantly.

Here is a Sphinx attempting to court a Feltaur, In which you can see their gular sacs. The feltaur is, Understandably, Rather confused by this, As they lack the flashy courtship displays and lekking behaviours that Sphinxes have.

New Daybreak Sophont dropped???

This is a Sphinx, Cousins of the Feltaurs from the same planet that evolved jaw-manipulators independantly. They have funny butt "wings" for tails and inflatable sacs on their chests.

Originally made in Spore, Like all of my other Sophonts :)) Feltaur redesign coming soon, Btw!

I think she'd be friends with Hatsune Miku Anyways I felt like drawing an Azaya so. Have an Azaya. I want to talk about her more but TLDR she's a Grox who was taken from the empire at a young age by a group of Feltaur and raised to be an Idol. She was a character who came to me in a dream one night and I just fucking HAD to make her real. Her story's actually a LOT darker and more depressing than what I described here but don't worry she gets her happy ending

These guys have a ton of history behind them since I originally made them in like... 2019? But the core concept has stayed the same (An ungulate-like species the communicates primarily through song)

I definitely should draw one sometime! They're native to the same planet as my Feltaurs (Which are also due for a redesign).

Little guy I made, Inspired by a sketch made by @godzillafandoesart :D

These guys are from the same planet as Feltaurs, They're called Hydras due to their strange jaw structure. The species shown here is called a red-breasted hydra, Named for... Well... the distinct red marking on its chest.

They are intelligent, Mustelid-like carnivores.

What other spore creatures feature in your universe?

Xolians, Ketrax, Feltaur, Vulla and Seraphim among other species i've made for playthroughs will appear in Daybreak ^^ I haven't drawn all of them yet but you can find up to date art of Seraphim and Feltaurs on my blog.

As for maxis-made species? Willosaurs appear as a spacefaring race, Whereas Bean and Payer appear as nonsapient animals.

Art of Groxpop Idol Azaya Moon and her corrupt manager, Markov! Azaya was taken away from her homeworld at a young age by Markov and his group of feltaur conmen. They saw potential in Grox Opera, So they stealthily took multiple young grox from their home. Out of all of them, Azaya was the most passionate. Azaya was given her stage name and taught to preform.
