“I have a feeling this isn’t going to be your typical friendship.”

a/n: We’re kicking off Hobi’s birthday week with this fic of how he and his partner start their eventual relationship. This fic is based on the song “So Far so Good” by Gabrielle Aplin. Also, the pet name Petal starts here. So yeah, I hope you enjoy and thanks for reading! :))

HIS chair was turned away from where you sat on his sofa, only the side of his face visible to you as he glowed in the monitor’s light.

You found yourself admiring his profile as well as the way he paused his work on his song every once in a while to eat a spoonful of the McDonald’s chocolate milkshake you had brought him ten minutes earlier. Hit with a sudden urge to touch him and be close to him, you approached his chair quietly, accidentally startling him into a jump and yelp when your arms wrapped around his neck.

“Oh my god,” Hoseok breathed out in relief at the realization it was just you, his eyes still blown wide as he looked to his side to watch the smile appear on your face.

“I’m sorry,” you giggled. “I just thought you might want some strawberry.” You held your shake in front of him, causing him to scoff as his lips curved into a smile. “Here,” you scooped a spoonful, feeding your boyfriend.

After swallowing the ice cream, he turned his chair to face you. “Did you really want to give me some of your shake or did you just want mine?” He asked with a raised eyebrow.

You smirked in response as you set your cup down and reached for his, simply shrugging. “Friends share, right?” Your boyfriend giggled as he wrapped an arm around the back of your legs, tugging you down to sit on his lap. You easily complied, sitting sideways across his thighs. Taking another bite of the chocolate shake, you flashed him a close-mouthed smile as he shook his head in feigned disappointment.

Reaching to put the milkshake down on his desk, you turned to face him, wrapping an arm around the back of his neck as you allowed your fingers to toy with the ends of his hair.

“How’s the song coming along?” You asked him just before leaning in and kissing his chin.

“It’s good,” he smiled at your affections. You cradled his jaw in your palm as you pressed another kiss to his cheek. “The third verse is almost done so it’s coming along,” he added, though with a bit of distraction as you placed a kiss to the edge of your mouth.

“I’m glad to hear—” you were cut off by Hoseok connecting his mouth to yours in a lingering kiss. Pulling away just the slightest bit, you looked at his eyes as his scanned your features affectionately. His eyes had a beautiful almond shape and the prettiest love bands that padded his lower lid.

“You know, I forgot how good these shakes are,” he said as he stared at your lips. “It’s been a while since we last had them.”

“I was feeling nostalgic,” you whispered, making his gaze lift to meet yours. When his orbs found yours, the corners of his eyes wrinkled adorably, reminding you of why that smile won you over in the first place just over a year earlier.

At first you didn’t notice him. Walking into the room, you weren’t really sure who you were looking for, but it definitely wasn’t him. Your friend and her partner were somewhere at the party, but you weren’t as concerned with them as you were with the “blind date” they were setting you up with.

They assured you that, “if you just give it a chance you’ll love him!” You had your doubts, but you decided to humor them. You chose a spot against the wall as you scanned the room. There was a large group of people all swarmed together and you were ready to pass over it, not interested in whatever that was all about, however you then spotted him.  

He carried himself with so much confidence it was almost boastful and it always drove you nuts. And the way he basked in how people flocked to him, well, you weren’t impressed.

His group’s song was playing when he first made eye contact with you, his eyes catching you for a moment as he scanned the crowded room before quickly doing a double take. His orbs locked on yours and he nodded at you with a cocky smirk. On instinct, you rolled your eyes. One of his eyebrows quirked as a smile spread across his face, amused by your disgust.

When he started walking toward you, you crossed your arms over your chest, staring him down. “Hey there wallflower,” He called out to you when he was still a few feet away. “Always with that eye roll huh?”

“Yeah, well, catching a girl’s eyes and nodding at her while your song is playing is a bit eye roll inducing, don’t you think, Hobi?”

He laughed loudly, his jovial face actually looking quite adorable. “Yeah,” he beamed. “Yeah it is.”

“Please tell me you’re not my blind date,” you groaned.

“Well considering I’m being set up with a blind date tonight as well, I would say the probability that I am it is pretty high,” he smirked. “Lucky you.”

“Ha,” you looked away from him. “I would rather jump off that balcony than spend the evening with you.”

“The feeling is mutual,” he gave a tight smile.

You and Hoseok shared mutual friends, and therefore, you had spent time together at a few parties and lunches here and there. He wasn’t exactly your enemy but neither of you were very fond of each other, and you both made that very known. You thought he was arrogant and obnoxious, and though he never outright said so, you were pretty sure he thought you were boring and uptight.

“You attracted quite the crowd, shouldn’t you be entertaining them?” You nodded toward the group of people who were currently staring at your date and you.

Hoseok spared them a quick glance before stepping in front of you so he was facing you with his back to the crowd. “They’re not interested in me, they just want to meet J-Hope,” he chuckled dryly. “Hell, Petal, you know me better than they do.”

It was a brief moment of vulnerability on his part but the look in his eyes struck something within you that made you feel genuinely sympathetic for Hoseok. “Petal?” You asked, holding back a smile.

He simply shrugged, holding back his own grin. “I don’t know you’re pretty, you’re a wallflower, it’s fitting.”

Your jaw dropped in feigned surprise as you teasingly cooed, “you think I’m pretty?”

Hoseok simply giggled and gave you a questioning look as if to say duh. “Of course I do.” The seriousness of which he spoke the compliment had you fiercely blushing as you looked away from him again in an attempt to hide your face.

When you turned toward him once your blush was under control, you found him wearing a sweet smile as he watched you. The corners of his eyes crinkled with the upturn of his lips and it was the prettiest feature you’d ever seen on a person. Fuck. No matter how much you disliked Hoseok, you would be lying if you said you weren’t attracted to him.

He stuck his hands in his pockets as he stared into your eyes. “Look, I know I haven’t made the best first impression, or second, or third, or seventh even,” he started, making you have to hold back a smile, “but, this is kind of lame,” he gestured to the room. “Wanna head out and go get a milkshake or something?”

Your eyes stayed locked on his for a moment, and for the first time you realized how truly kind he looked. “A milkshake?”

“Yeah,” he smiled nervously. It was your first time ever seeing him nervous. “There’s a McDonald’s down the street.”

Your jaw dropped a little before you noted, “You know, they do have the best shakes.”

His eyes widened in surprise as he nodded. “Right?!”

“To die for.”

“I don’t know about you, but this feels like fate to me,” he grinned happily. “Should we go then?”

You slowly pulled your eyes from the beautiful man to scan the room. When your eyes met his again, he was still smiling. Wow, that smile.

For the first time, you returned the smile, nodding. “I can’t believe I’m leaving a party with Jung Hoseok.”

Hoseok giggled as he led the way out of the room. “I know, aren’t we supposed to be nemeses or something?” He teased.

“Something like that,” you joked as you stepped out onto the sidewalk. The sky was dark but Hoseok was illuminated under the glow of the streetlights. You always knew how handsome he was but seeing him then with the wind tousling his hair just slightly as he looked at you with a face of pure happiness, you found it difficult to pull your eyes from him.

That was when you realized it was charisma. You had mistaken it for arrogance. Confidence? Oh yeah, tons of it. But he wasn’t necessarily cocky. Well, maybe just a little.

“What’s your favorite Mickey D’s shake?” You asked and as he prepared to answer, you held up your hand. “Be warned, there is definitely a right answer to this.”

“Strawberry and chocolate are the best,” he grinned as you both began walking toward the fast food restaurant. You peered over at him and he laughed at your shocked expression. “What?”

You quickly shook your head, looking forward once more. “I just think you may be on to something with this whole fate thing.”

You snuck a glance at him to see the smile gracing his features. As you walked, you fell into a comfortable silence, the sound of the cars driving past filling the space. Curiosity got the better of you, however, causing you to ask, “so, you don’t like parties like those?”  

He hummed in thought. “Believe it or not, I don’t actually love all that attention,” he laughed, but the comment flooded you with guilt. “It’s not that I don’t like them, it’s just, you feel almost like a commodity, or a plaything. People just want your attention, they don’t care about knowing you.”  

“That must be annoying.” You realized he was probably pretty used to being judged on personas and first appearances. Even you judged him before knowing him.

“Yeah, I mean, the good outweighs the bad,” he shrugged, and you had a feeling he was pretty used to shrugging his problems away. You figured he would stop sharing at that point, but he continued on as he opened the door to the McDonald’s. “You just rarely get to really know people, ya know? They see J-Hope, not Hoseok.”

“Right,” you replied thoughtfully as you stepped inside, Hoseok following behind you.

You ordered a strawberry shake and Hoseok ordered the chocolate. When you tried to pay, he pushed your hands away. “My treat.”

Cocking your head at him, you crossed your arms over your chest. “I’m paying next time then.”

Hoseok smiled wide at that— the possibility of a next time. “Deal.”

As he went to sit down at a table, you grabbed his hand, leading him outside. “What are we doing?” He asked as he trailed behind you, allowing you to drag him toward the street.

“It’s a nice night out.” With that you sat down on the curb, patting the spot next to you. Hoseok sat down with you, observing you as you both ate your milkshakes.

“So, what you were saying before,” you started, your tone becoming more serious. “Is it tiring being J-Hope?” You both were surprised by how easy it was to talk about such topics as identity.

“No,” he quickly responded, shaking his head. “Not tiring. I mean, I am that person, J-Hope is at the center of me. It’s just,” he trailed off.

“I can imagine you can never have a bad day.”

Hoseok’s gaze locked on you as he studied your features. Slowly, he nodded. “Yeah. It feels that way sometimes.”

As he stared at you, you reached for his milkshake, stealing it from his hands. “Hey,” he protested as you shoveled a spoon full of the treat into your mouth.

“What? Friends share.”

“Friends?” His expression was gentle and curious. Almost nervous again.

“Well, we could be,” you smiled, Hoseok mirroring your grin. “But not sharing your milkshake is not how you start friendships.”

Hoseok scoffed as he reached for your strawberry one that sat on the sidewalk next to you. “Fine, we’ll share.”

“Watch the attitude, Hoseok,” you said pointing your spoon at him. “You’re in a probationary period.” He smiled in amusement as he held his arms up in feigned defense.

You both fell into thoughtful silence, staring at cars as they passed by. “So, who is Hoseok?”

He smiled at you as he leaned forward a bit, opening his mouth expectantly. You let out a scoff as you shoved a spoonful of the chocolate shake into his mouth. After swallowing the treat, he stayed close to you, his eyes tracing over your features. “I would love for you to get to know me.” You bit your lip as you nodded. “And I want to know more about you too,” he told you, his eyes locking on your own as if they were portals to your soul. “I don’t know a lot yet beyond the fact that you have superior taste in milkshakes and possible friends,” he teased making you laugh wholeheartedly. “So far so good,” he added.

“That’s really all there is to know,” you brushed him off. “I’m not all that interesting.”  

“Bullshit,” he smiled. “I have a feeling you’re the most interesting person I’ve ever met.” His gaze turned soft yet intense and you felt stunned.

“What, since when?” You asked in shock.

“What do you mean since when? I’ve always found you fascinating,” he informed you. “You just never gave me the time of day.”

“Seriously?” You looked at Hoseok in shock as he nodded with wide eyes. “I always thought that you found me boring and—”

“Fuck no, are you kidding? How could I ever think that?” He cut you off. “Jesus, Petal, do you have any idea that you light up every room you walk into?” At that, you rolled your eyes and he threw his head back in laughter. “There’s that eye roll again.”

“Yeah, well, you keep earning it,” you laughed.

“I never hated you,” he assured you.

Nodding, you gave him an apologetic smile. “I wouldn’t say I ever hated you, but,” you trailed off.

“Yeah, I know.”

“I just thought you were arrogant,” you explained.

“Hey, you don’t have to explain yourself,” he chuckled. “It’s hard to get to know a person if they won’t let you see the real them.”

“Yeah, well, it’s also hard to get to know a person if you refuse to look past the persona they wear. So, I’m sorry,” you leaned toward him, nudging your nose against his shoulder.

He simply shook his head, brushing your apology off. He then sighed as he slumped his head toward the ground and rolled it toward you to look up at your face. “I don’t want this night to end,” he confessed, catching you off guard.

“I don’t either.”

“I would invite you to my place, but, I have six other dudes coming in and out of there. I mean, I would invite you over just to continue talking. Probationary friends,” he smiled. “I don’t want to mess that up.”  

You giggled, nodding in response. “Of course.” You paused a moment. “Six dudes huh? Any of them single?” You joked.

“Hey,” Hoseok bumped his shoulder against yours in protest as he held back a laugh. You observed him for a moment as you decided whether or not you should invite him to your apartment. What were you wanting out of this night?

“Well, I would invite you to my place, but,” you paused as you decided whether you should be blunt with him. “I’m trying really fucking hard to be your friend first.”

Hoseok smirked, holding back a large smile as he nodded. “Friends first,” he told you, sticking his hand out for you to shake. When you shook it, he locked his eyes on yours and suddenly the handshake felt a little too friendly.

You weren’t sure who leaned in first, but suddenly your lips were nearly brushing against Hoseok’s as your gazes fell to each other’s mouths. “Is this ok?” He asked.

“I don’t know,” you whispered, though neither of you moved apart.

“Friends don’t kiss, do they?”

You smiled at his comment as you shook your head. “No, not really. But I have a feeling this isn’t going to be your typical friendship.”

It was Hobi’s turn to smile as he placed a hand on your jaw. “I’m gonna kiss you now, ok, Petal?”

“Ok,” you responded just before he pressed his lips to yours, your mouths opening against each other’s almost instantly.

As cars drove past, you both were completely consumed by each other, Hoseok scooting even closer to you as his other hand came up to hold onto the other side of your face, deepening the kiss. Your hand gripped his wrist as you responded easily to his touch.

Staring at him as you sat on his lap in his studio, he tilted his head in thought. “What’s on your mind, Petal?”

It was in that moment, in the blink of an eye that you realized this was forever. He was forever. 

“I can’t imagine a world without you,” you responded. “I’m just so lucky.” Hoseok grinned warmly, leaning forward to press a kiss to your nose.

“Yeah?” He teased making you smile.

“Remember when I used to think you were awful?” you reminded him with a giggle, Hobi laughing with you.

“I think your exact word choice was arrogant and obnoxious.”

“So half true,” you teased, Hoseok shaking his head as he giggled. “We’ve come so far.”

Attaching his mouth to yours again, he couldn’t help but smile into the meeting. “So far so good,” he mumbled against your lips as his hand found the back of your head, fingers threading into your hair as he deepened the kiss.

Even though I fell asleep rather quickly thanks to being awfully tired after the car ride, I wake up and the odd feeling of a new place hits me in the head.

No traffic sounds, no loud neighbours from upstairs or the sound of a construction site. Just plain silence, the brief sound of wind between the leaves and birds chirping around.

"God damn it!" I hear Perry shout from downstairs and I smile to myself, not everything changed at least.

I get up and ready for the day, not making much effort on the clothing part and I go downstairs to check up on my aunt.

"Everything good?" I ask with a teasing smile and Perry turns around.

I should ask what happened, but the look on Perry's face, the cat food all over the floor and Church eating up the mess peacefully makes everything clear.

"Yeah, yeah... Just Church acting like an asshole, as usual."

I chuckle then I open up the cereal and pour it in a bowl. Before I can even get to the fridge Perry says.

"There's no milk, I slept in, thanks to the jet leg so I didn't have time to buy anything yet."

I make a pout, but sit down to eat.

"Shame..."

Perry rolls her eyes at me.

"Don't start! I'm stressed as it is already. We have to go to the store, then go to the animal hospital, then we have to visit your school..."

She starts to list everything and I say with a full mouth of cereal.

"We have a whole month before school! And we just arrived!"

She waves me off.

"Yeah, but I have to make a good impression, June." she sighs and only now I notice how tired she is, she looks a lot more than her real age.

"It's a new town, we have to try and make the best out of it. If we make the wrong impression, it can mark our life here..."

"You're being dramatic." I try to tease, and she cracks a smile after another sigh.

"You're one to talk, Miss Drama Queen."

I grin and shrug.

"I don't know what you mean..."

Now she puts her hands on her waist, readying the "mama pose".

"Oh reaaally?"

I nod and try not to laugh.

"Yeah, really."

She acts like she is thinking very hard.

"Then who might have been that made an hour rant about her favourite pirate dying and how it was not supposed to happen."

"Hey, he was a real gem and it was horrible to watch!"

She lets out a long laugh and honestly I'm glad to not see her too worried about things.

"Honey it was a tv show."

"Blackbeard deserved better." I add grumpily, then look towards Church, who is cleaning himself after his breakfast.

"Defend me, Church!" I say dramatically, and I see Perry's point now.

The tabby just stops his cleaning process, with wide eyes and tongue out he leaves the scene.

"You coward!!!" I shout after him and me and Perry burst out in a laugh.

In the morning the city looks a lot different, but not much more lively. It's weird to see so few people on the streets. I guess for them it's normal or even a crowd, but compared to Chicago for me it's a lot different.

One thing I can see clearly though. Higher in the city, near the forest are the more expensive looking houses, I can even see some backyards with pools. But further down towards the lake it's reminds me more of the hoods back in Chicago. It has a certain charm to it, and I can clearly see the two sides of the tracks in town. Most of the people that I see outside can be chategorized as well.

The north siders are more suburbian looking, everyone smiling and greeting each other. It feels like an episode from black mirror. Perry doesn't seem to mind them, she even stops a lot to introduce us to the random families. Housewives with 60s dresses, limonade in hand, meanwhile husband and son mowing the grass. As I said, creepy.

Down in the 'hood' feels more like my world. No one's smiling randomly at each other, just people minding their own business.

We get to the part of town where most of the stores and small family businesses are. It doesn't take that long to get their, it is a small town after all.

As Perry leads the way I stay behind a bit looking at the store signs. No world-wide known franchise names, like Subway or McDonalds, more like Brenda's Flower shop or Granny's diner. Even the only cinema in town promotes a movie that came out about 20 years ago.

I almost bump into Perry as I'm lost in my thoughts when she suddenly stops.

"We're here, I'm already late, shit." She says looking at her clock.

She turns to me, then points to across the street to a 24/7 store, as she gives me a piece of paper and her credit card.

"Would you please buy these while I make arrangements at work?"

I see no point in arguing, I didn't really want to join her to the animal hospital anyway.

"Sure."

She goes in the door and I look at the small store and head there. I cross the street without looking around, there are almost no cars anyway.

The door rings as I set foot into the local store and the cashier, who is around the same age as I am looks at me up and down and continues until I disappear in the isles.

I pick up the stuff that Perry wrote down, not making a rush of it, because I know she will take forever with small talk with her new boss anyway.

After I look at every shelf and almost every product I get bored so I stand in front of the cashier. She slowly checks in every item, meanwhile looking at me.

"You're new here?" she asks and I nod.

"Yupp."

I don't really like small talk so I don't try to encourage him into a conversation, he does it anyway.

"Cool... I'm Polly! Polly Ambers, I live down at the docks. You're one of the Blackwoods right?"

Okay how does everyone know that, did auntie Primprose put out a sing or what?

"Yeah, how did you-?"

She cuts me off with a smirk.

"This is Detroit, babe, everyone knows everything here. The only action that ever happens in this town is when someone leaves or someone new comes here. People talk a lot."

"Great." I huff, and she laughs.

"Yeah, so pretty much brace yourself for being stared at for at least a month."

She finishes with the products:

"That will be 34.29!"

I reach out with the credit card and she shakes her head pointing at the sign behind the counter.

"Cash only? Seriously?"

I ask dumbstruck and she nods.

"I know. This town is lame."

"Tell me about it..." I say then search in my pockets for any cash.

"Where are you from?" Polly asks as I lay down the money I scraped from my pockets along with some pocket dirt.

"Here, actually. We moved to Chicago when I was 4."

"Chicago." Polly says as she looks into the distance. "I bet it's a big city."

"I mean yeah, but if you've seen one before you've seen all already."

Polly shakes her head.

"Not me, I was born here and I never went anywhere before. I want to, once I get my degree, I will go and travel the world."

She gives me my bag full of food with a smile.

"I can show you around after work if you'd like." she offers.

"Really?" I ask, again dumbstruck.

"Don't act all surprised." She chuckles, her dark hair falling into her face. "Everyone's so fuckin' boring in this town, except for me, obviously. You won't get a better offer and anyway. Aaaand I can show you all the cool places. There aren't a lot, but still."

My smile is genuine as I nod.

"Alright, when do you finish?"

She steps out from behind the counter and rushes me towards the door.

"Now, let's get out of here."

"Wait, what? You're not gonna get in trouble?" I ask as she hurries me out.

"I don't work here." she answers and I laugh as I think it's a joke but we hear a toilet flush from behind a door and then the actual cashier, wearing a name tag of 'Rick'. As he sees Polly he points an accusing finger.

"AMBERS I SWEAR TO FUCK, IF YOU COME HERE AGAIN I'LL CALL THE COPS, I'M SERIOUS. YOU ARE BANNED!"

Polly takes my arm and pushes me out the door as she shouts.

"Whatever, Dick!"

We laugh as we run out the store and take a few blocks. As no danger comes our way we stop to catch our breath.

"Do you usually pretend to work at places?" I ask with a chuckle and she shrugs.

"I mean, yes, don't you?" She asks teasingly then turns to walk towards the docks. "Come on, I'm gonna introduce to some of my gang."

"Gang? Like a street gang?" I ask with doubt and she rolls her eyes.

"No, big city, not like a street gang. It's just a phrase."

"Okay, small town!" I tease back and she smiles at me.

"I think you're gonna like the docks. It's the least suburbian looking place in town. Have you seen some of the northside? They are aliens, I'm telling you. Or a cult. Definitely a sex cult."

I chuckle nervously.

"We moved there actually."

She stops in her tracks and turns to look at me.

"Why must you fail me so often?" she asks in the most serious voice. "But really, until you go and dress like people in Mad Men and talk like a woman from the victorian ages, you're fine."

She leads me to the lake and I have to admit it's a pretty sight. Polly asks me about Chicago and about the places I've been before until we reach a boat called 'Harker'. She climbs aboard and looks at me.

"You coming?"

I look at her suspiciously.

"Is a guy going to come out of the bathroom asking why you're on his boat?"

She folds her hands.

"Do you not trust me?"

I laugh and I shake my head.

"Nope, we just met."

"Wise choice, but no, I own this boat. Well, actually my dads are, but still."

I look surprised for a second then join her aboard.

"Yeah, I am adopted with two gay dads before you ask."

"I wasn't going to. I kind of figured after you said 'dads'." I smile at her, then I put down my bag on the boardfloor.

I pull out my phone and text Perry a short message. 'Met a girl in town, she's showing me around. Bought everything, I'll go home later.'

"Are you texting your boyfriend?" Polly asks as she picks up a jacket and puts it on.

"My aunt, so she doesn't freak out where I am."

"Cute, let's go." she says and turns back to walk to town.

"Did we seriously get here just to pick up your jacket?" I ask with a laugh, but still follow her.

"Yeah, I was cold, now come on."

We walk about ten minutes when we reach a gas station/mechanic shop.

"Why are we here?" I ask and tease Polly. "I'm starting to doubt you, oh knower of cool places."

"Have faith, my young apprentice."

She walks toward the garage part of the shop and she greets the people in there. There's a guy about our age, lot taller with brown hair, who meets Polly with a fist bump.

"Whattup Toby?" Polly greets him and nods towards me. "This is the new girl everyone talked about."

"Hey, I'm Juniper" I say awkwardly, I really am socially awkward, huh?

"Hi, Toby Jameson." He says and holds out his hand so I shake it.

"Toby is gay." Polly says and we both look at her suprised. "What?"

"Nice icebreaker, Polls." Toby says with a laugh. "But yeah, it's true."

"Look I was only saying that because Juniper doesn't have a boyfriend and it's better before she falls in love with you, after you act like a straight dude then have her heart broken."

"This isn't a romcom Polly." Toby says then looks at me apologetically.

"Who says I don't have a boyfriend anyway? " I ask with a nervous laugh.

"I asked you and you said you were texting your aunt."

I would start to argue with her logic, but a voice interrupts.

"That doesn't count out anything."

I didn't notice the guy working under the car right until now as he rolls out from under there, all oily and sweaty. He tries to clean his hands as much with a rag, but it's already dirty as it is. He doesn't seem to mind, as he gets up from the floor.

"Well she didn't say anything about having one either." Polly answers to the mechanic.

He looks at me and I try hard to act normal and not stare at his sweaty once white tank top. Cause damn he is hot. Not like yesterday night. He seems to recognise me as well as he says.

"Nice to see you in pants for a change. For a second there I thought you didn't own any."

Polly and Toby looks between the two of us confused and then the girl looks at Mr. Asshole.

"Marcus tell me you didn't fuck the new girl."

"What?!" I look at her offended, and Marcus waves Polly off.

"No, and I wasn't planning to don't worry."

"Well good." Polly says and then looks at me. "Why did he saw you without your pants then?"

I roll my eyes very annoyed by the subject.

"I answered the door in my pajamas, it was after 10. And he was there with nutjob mayor, I can't remember his name."

Polly and Toby looks at Marcus accusingly.

"Why the fuck were you with Forrester?"

Marcus sighs as he gets some tools to continue his work.

"I fixed up his car and he told me he would pay me if I drove him there."

"Why?" Polly asks and Marcus sighs again.

"I don't know Polly! I don't care now can you leave me to work, I'm not gonna babysit you all, and if you're not working you are wasting my time."

Polly shrugs and takes my arm to go back to town.

"You are being rude, Marcus."

"And you are annoying, bye now!"

When I get home it' already after dark. I hanged out with Polly and Toby for the rest of the day. Turns out they are really fun to talk to and as I return home I feel a lot better about living in Oregon. Polly promised me to take out on the lake before summer is over and Toby said he would drive us to Salem to go and watch a movie.

But my mood is killed as I step into the house and I hear Perry slamming the fridge door.

"Juniper Billie Blackwood!" she says angrily as she comes out, her hands on her hips and her face all angry.

Oh oh. I think as I smile at her apologetically.

"I'm sorry I'm late."

She disregards my apology.

"You skipped the meeting with the principal, you are lucky that I talked your way out and that Eli was nice enough to understand your behaviour."

Eli? I think. Since when is she on first name terms with my principal.

"Shit. I forgot."

"You for..." She breaths heavily. "You forgot? After I told you a million times over an over again how important it was?" She raises her voice and I look at my shoes nervously.

"I'm sorry we lost track of time and..."

She doesn't let me finish as she continues.

"Are you trying to sabotage us?" I look up at her at that.

"No!" I say offended at her accusation.

"Don't lie to me! You were not happy to come here in the first place, you were not happy with the house and my job. And that you have to attend school. You didn't even tell the mayor came to visit yesterday night. Juniper you were so rude you have no excuse for your behaviour other than sabotaging our stay here on purpose!"

"Well excuse me I don't like being dragged away from my home and friends to a place in nowhere. And I was having fun with two possible new friends and yeah, I forgot about the stupid mayor but that doesn't mean I am doing this because I wanted to sabotage you! "

Perry shakes her head and looks at my hand.

"Where are the grocieres?"

Shit. I facepalm, already exhausted from this fight.

"I left it on the boat I think. I'm sorry."

"Well go down and bring them here."

I look at her serious face and roll my eyes.

"Whatever."

I leave the house and slam the door behind me. I can still hear her arguing but I'm already on my way to the docks. I'm grumpy to walk in the cold breeze, I should have at least put on a jacket, but I still don't plan on hurrying until Perry calms down a bit.

I admit I should have been a bit more catious with the time and joined her at the school but I honestly forgot about that when Polly and Toby was making me feel somewhat at home.

I look for the boat on the docks, but in the dim light I can barely make out the names. As I search between the boats I don't really notice the footsteps behind me. In Chicago I was used to walking in a crowd so I don't think much of it now as well. That's why I don't notice in time the stranger in the hood, until I get hit in the head.

I don't lose concious at first I just kind of stumble down on the ground with the sudden pain in my head. I look up but my view is blurry so I can't see a clear picture of the person standing over me. I can only embrace another hit in the head as I now lose conciousness and everything turns to black.

Klance prompt thing - "things you said to me when you thought I was asleep" Keith pov?

I got a bit carried away because i love this prompt so much!!! I put a lot of work into it, so i hope you enjoy!

“We’re stuck here,” Lance muttered, both annoyance and restlessness stinging his voice.

Keith put his head in his hands. “No, we’re not.”

Both of their voices were raw from the minutes of coughing and gasping they’d done after escaping the storm outside.

“Uh, yes we are! Have you been paying any attention to our situation?”

How could Keith not be paying attention? The situation he was in was practically his hell. Keith had been forced on a solo mission with Lance and was now forced to endure his frantic complaining that just stressed Keith out more.

The team was making slow process on their journey back to Earth. Due to not having the Castle of Lions and it’s wormhole abilities, they had to travel painstakingly from one side of the universe to the other. When you add in the constant Galra attacks and stops to get supplies, that makes a long journey even longer.

Lance and Keith’s solo mission was a perfect representation of both of those problems.

They’d been tasked with buying food from an alien market on a nearby planet. Things had gone downhill pretty quickly.

The planet had some long name Keith wouldn’t even try to pronounce. The atmosphere was dry and desert like. The long stretch of desert that lead to the market place was red and rocky, similar to Mars.

“What are the others off doing?” Lance asked as they walked. It was one of the first times either of them had spoken on their trip to the marketplace. The two… weren’t on the best of terms.

“Krolia, Pidge, Shiro, and Hunk are off getting parts to fix up the lions,” Keith answered, “and Allura and Coran are getting information on which route we should take to avoid Galra attacks.”

“And we’re just getting the food? Why do we get the lame job? Also, we can do without food. Shouldn’t we be helping the others? It would get things done faster.”

“Unless you want us to die of hunger before we reach Earth, yes, we do need food,” Keith answered, asking himself how Lance could fit so many words in with just one breath.

“Shouldn’t there be, like, a space McDonalds up here?” Lance exclaimed, his arms held out in front of him. “At this rate we’ll never get to Earth.”

“We’ll get there when we get there.”

Keith was vaguely aware of Lance sending a glare his way. He didn’t reply, though.

Though the two had been growing closer before Keith left for the Blade of Marmora, they now seemed to be fighting more than usual.

Keith didn’t know what Lance’s deal was. He left rooms that Keith entered, he’d throw extra insults at him, and he just didn’t seem to be hanging out with the team much anymore. It wasn’t like there was much time to hang out, but on the rare occasion that they did get a small break, Lance would just yell about wanting to get to work then he’d pout in his lion.

Lance had always been a pretty… lively and outspoken person, but at least he’d had a sense of humor. Now, it was just passive aggressive mumbles and his occasional outbursts at the team.

It wasn’t only Keith who noticed. Keith spotted the other team members eyeing each other whenever Lance acted up. Krolia had raised an eyebrow at Keith and whispered, “didn’t you tell me he was the funny one?”

Even with this unspoken agreement as to Lance’s personality shift, Keith noticed that it was only he that Lance had been specifically avoiding. Sure, he’d distance himself from group hangouts, but it was as if Keith had a disease and Lance was adamant about not catching it. He’d throw a fit whenever he and Keith were forced to be alone together, just like the mission they were on now.

Keith didn’t know what was up, but he wasn’t having it. What else was there to do but retaliate with his own passive aggression. Well, he could try to sit down and have a civil conversation with Lance… but that wasn’t likely.

Maybe Keith retaliated so hard because he didn’t want to admit that it hurt his feelings a bit when Lance treated him like he used to, as if neither of them had changed throughout their time in space. Keith had just been starting to enjoy the bond and friendship he was developing with Lance, and then he had to just go and do this.

Keith had spent a lot of time alone, and making friendships wasn’t something he specialized in. He’d usually make sure he didn’t get attached to people, as that never ended well. Maybe this was just all his own fault for letting himself get too close to Lance.

All the introspective thinking that went into analyzing his and Lance’s relationship was exactly what Keith hated. It was easier to just attack back with the same anger Lance had been showing him, and so, he did.

“Hey, why do you call Krolia ‘Krolia’?” Lance spoke up suddenly. Keith was taken back by such a blunt question after so many minutes of silence. “Why don’t you call her ‘mom’?”

“Why do you wanna know?” Keith asked.

“Just curious.”

Keith looked over at Lance. He was kicking at pebbles as he walked.

“I didn’t really grow up with her, so it feels kind of weird,” Keith responded with.

Lance didn’t reply. He just glanced over at Keith and shrugged. The day Keith understood anything that guy did would be a miracle.

The two walked on in silence. There were two suns on the planet they were on and both blazed hot on the land. Keith was used to heat after spending time in the desert back on Earth, but he was still starting to feel damp and uncomfortable in his insulated paladin suit.

He looked over at Lance. His hair was starting to stick to his face due to the sweat, but Lance didn’t look bothered by it. His hair had grown a bit longer during their voyage to Earth. Keith didn’t know if it was on purpose or if he’d finally given up on keeping well groomed during his time in space.

“Did Allura give us any specifics on what food to get?” Keith asked. The marketplace was in their view now.

“No, but that makes me kinda nervous,” Lance replied with a sigh. “What if this alien food does, like, weird stuff to humans? What if all our hair turns white like Shiro’s? That would be a tragedy.”

Keith looked over at Lance and Lance looked over at Keith. The two smirked and chuckled at the joke. It seemed to relieve some of the tension between the two, but it also felt like there was a hand squeezing at Keith’s heart as he looked back on a time when he and Lance had been good friends.

“We’ll just buy what looks the most normal,” Keith said, getting the two back on track.

That was when things fell apart.

The easily identifiable sound of a Galra ship could be heard, and sure enough when Keith turned around he spotted just that.

“Uh oh,” Lance exclaimed.

“Yeah,” Keith agreed. “It doesn’t look like too big of a fleet, though. We should call for backup.”

“I was actually talking about that,” Lance corrected, pointing at the distance to the left of the Galra ship.

There was a massive sandstorm heading their direction. The dark sand swept up in the winds was starting to block the sunlight. It was moving unnervingly fast and would reach them in no time.

“What the hell do we do?” Lance asked.

Keith looked between the two threats, panic starting to rise within him.

“We… run.”

The two sprinted back to where Lance had docked the Red Lion. It was in a secluded cave facing away from the Galra threat and would offer them protection from the storm. Keith’s heart pounded and his lungs burned as he ran as fast as he could to try and beat the winds. Lance was right alongside him, breathing hard but moving fast.

The two of them realized that they were close to the cave, but not close enough. The storm would engulf them before they reached safety.

“Grab on,” Keith instructed, holding his arm out.

“What?” Lance said, looking at Keith’s arm as if he was crazy.

“So we don’t get separated! Grab on!”

Lance looked Keith up and down. Finally, after a few seconds of hesitation, Lance grabbed his hand.

As they ran, the sand surpassed them and their visibility deteriorated. Keith went from seeing thirty feet in front of himself, to ten, to five. He felt stones pound against his helmet and armor and he was grateful he had the ensemble on.

As wind pushed the two around, Keith felt as if all his senses were leaving him; they were betraying him. He felt as if he couldn’t rely on anything he felt. He didn’t know if they were running in the right direction or if they were running at all.

As Keith looked around frantically just to see nothing, he started to feel more anxious. The only thing that kept him centered was the hand placed firmly in his own. He could see up Lance’s arm but he couldn’t see his face. Still, even just his arm was enough to disprove the isolation Keith was feeling, and it kept him going. He wanted that hand to be in his forever, and that thought confused him more than the sandstorm did.

Finally, after what felt like years, the two reached the mountain. The wind made things difficult, but the two felt around the rock wall they were against. After what felt like ages of this, Keith felt a tug in his hand. Lance was pulling him somewhere. Keith let him lead him, and is if someone had flipped a switch, Keith was out of the sand and his senses were back.

The two collapsed in the cave and breathed heavy, both the running and the effort to keep steady in heavy winds tiring them to exhaustion.

“You okay?” Keith asked while removing his helmet.

“Uh, yeah. You?” a rock had cracked Lances helmet pretty bad and he had a small cut on his cheek. Other than that, he looked alright.

“Yeah, i’m good,” Keith said, finally starting to catch his breath.

Keith felt a sudden yank. That’s when he realized that he and Lance had still been holding hands. Lance had noticed first and pulled away fast. The two scooted away a bit, sharing awkward glances.

“Uh, when is this going to clear?” Lance asked, clearly not looking to focus on their prolonged hand holding.

“How should I know?”

“Why are there Galra here?”

“Again, how should I know?”

“I mean, you are one,” Lance said with an eyebrow raise.

Keith sent him a glare. “We should bunker down. The winds might not slow for a while.”

That’s what brought them to where they were now, Lance complaining that they were stuck.

“When the air clears up we’ll be able to call for help and get out of here,” Keith told him upon discovering that none of their messages to the team were getting through.

“But we’re still stuck for now,” Lance mumbled. “This will just delay us more. I told you going to get food was stupid.”

The two had relocated into the Red Lion, which was in the cave with them. Lance sat in the pilot’s chair, laying with his legs over one arm of the chair and his back against the other. Keith was sitting in one of the retractable chairs behind Lance’s. Lance’s chair was swiveled around to face Keith.

Keith sighed and looked at Lance, who was pouting. After a few moments of hesitation, he asked a question he had been meaning to ask all mission.

“Why have you been in such a work mode?” Keith asked. “You’re in such a rush to get everything done. You don’t even take any breaks. Why is that?”

Lance looked at Keith, a bit shocked by the question. His face hardened slightly, and Keith thought he was going to yell. Instead, his face softened into a look of sadness.

“I guess… i’m just in a rush to get back to my family.” He paused for a few seconds, staring at the blank wall of the Red Lion. “Before, I kept thinking ‘it’ll be okay, i’ll get home eventually’ and now i’m going home. It seems so real, so it seems like things will fall apart. Like… now that we’re actually on our way home to Earth, something bad will happen to my family, and i won’t have been quick enough.”

“We’re all in a rush to get back,” Keith said, “but if we go too fast, we as a team are gonna fall apart and we’ll never get back there.”

“I know,” Lance said, holding his arms in the air and letting them fall against his thighs, “But you don’t get it. You don’t have anything back on Earth. All your family, all your friends, they’re right up here with you. I have a huge family down in Cuba, and they all think i’m dead. You don’t understand what that feels like.”

Keith was tempted to get angry at Lance’s comment about him, but he couldn’t. He couldn’t because he was right. He did have everything in space, and he really wasn’t missing much back on Earth. He didn’t understand. He couldn’t understand.

“We’ll get there eventually,” Keith said.

He looked over at Lance, and the two made eye contact. Lance’s face still had a softness, but it was… different now. They looked at each other’s eyes as if the most interesting novel in the world was hidden in them, and Keith again felt nostalgic for his and Lance’s friendship before Keith had left.

The two sat in silence in the dark and tense atmosphere of the Red Lion. Every second that passed felt like an hour.

Keith thought about Lance’s words. They explained perfectly why he had been prioritising work over everything else as of late. Again, Keith couldn’t relate to having all your family down on earth, but he could relate to having a mission. He felt a pang of sympathy for Lance, and he felt bad for all the times he and his friends had been nagging on Lance to just take a break.

That didn’t explain why Lance had been trying so hard to avoid Keith, though. It also wasn’t an excuse for the way Lance had been treating him.

“We should sleep,” Keith instricted. “We don’t know how long it’ll be before this clears up. If the galra are still out there we’ll need to fight them.”

“Okay,” was all Lance replied with. He’d been spinning in his chair but stopped upon hearing Keith’s words.

Keith tried his best to get comfortable in his chair. He layed like Lance was, with his legs draped over the side of the chair. He turned so that he was facing away from Lance.

He dozed off a few times, but despite his tired and aching body, he just couldn’t go to sleep. He heard Lance move around a few times, so he guessed that he was in the same position that Keith was in. Keith heard his chair swivel around and around again, so he must’ve given up.

This thought was confirmed for him when Lance started talking.

“Keith?” He asked softly, a bit of hesitation to his voice. “You asleep?”

Keith didn’t answer. He didn’t know why he didn’t. Maybe he was curious.

“Keeeeith?” Lance asked again. “Keeeeiiiiith? Buddy?”

Keith hadn’t heard Lance call him ‘buddy’ in a while, and his heart jumped at the sound of the old nickname.

“Guess you’re asleep,” Lance concluded. “Hm, I could say whatever i want to you right now. You’re ugly. You have a horrible fashion sense. Your hair is stupid.”

Keith got so offended he almost turned around and blew his cover, but he remained still where he laid.

“Or, that’s what I keep telling myself at least. I’ve grown on your hair and horrible fashion sense now. I tried denying this for a long time but… it’s kinda cute. And you’re definitely not ugly. That’s kind of the problem.”

Keith was listening with great focus, a deep blush creeping up on his face without even realizing it. He was starting to think that he was in too deep, but still, he pretended to sleep.

Lance didn’t say anything for a bit longer, and Keith thought that that was all, but then he spoke up again. His voice felt longing and sad, and it wasn’t a tone Keith heard from Lance a lot.

“You know, sometimes i get mad at you about how we don’t have the friendship we used to have. That’s when i have to remind myself that… that’s my own fault. It’s my fault, and I know that.”

Keith’s heart was really starting to beat now. He was getting the answer to all these deep questions he’d been holding onto for months. He felt like he’d just hacked into a government file; that he wasn’t supposed to be hearing this information.

“It’s just… you’ve got a mom in space now. And you’ve got a dog, and you’ve got Shiro, and ever since you’ve gotten back from your big 2 year mission… you get alone with everyone so much better. What would you need me for? You’ve got everything you need, and i’m just… not a part of that. I guess i just distanced myself before you could get the opportunity to hurt me.”

Keith had wanted to call Lance an idiot many times, but right then and there he wanted to do more than just call him an idiot. He wanted to smack him across the face and scream ‘you’re an idiot!’ right in his ear.

How could Lance ever feel like he wasn’t a part of Keith’s life? How could he ever feel like he wasn’t important to Keith? Of course, Keith wasn’t the best at emoting, but he still thought it was pretty obvious that he cared about Lance.

Just when Keith thought he’d heard it all, Lance kept talking. His voice was still sad and distant, as if he wasn’t talking to a sleeping Keith but instead to the universe itself.

“Of course, there’s more to it than that. The reason i’m so scared of that rejection from you is because of something I only started to realize when you were gone. It’s because… I like you. Like… like like you. In a not ‘friend’ way… and i know that you’d never like me back, so why bother?”

Keith’s eyes were wide with shock where he laid, though luckily his back was to Lance. His heart beat fast and there were butterflies in his stomach.

Lance… had a crush on Keith?

No. He couldn’t have heard that correctly. He must’ve meant something else. There was no way that Lance, the ladies man, had a crush on Keith. That just… wasn’t possible.

Though, Keith knew he heard correctly, and he knew exactly what Lance meant.

Keith thought back to Lance’s aversion of eye contact and hand holding. It made sense. That’s why he’d been avoiding Keith, because he thought that Keith would reject him.

Would Keith have rejected him, though?

Probably not. Keith thought back to the hand held in his, anchoring him in the midst of the storm. He thought of Lance’s deep blue eyes and how they seemed to be the most beautiful thing in the universe. He thought of the late nights he used to spend with Lance, the two talking about past lives and the future, and Keith thought of how beautiful Lance’s face looked when he was talking about something he was passionate about.

Yes, Keith liked Lance back. It seemed… too late, though, for anything to happen between them. Lance had already given up.

That made something deep in Keith break. Some optimism, some future of happiness. Something.

Keith heard Lance sigh longingly, and then he got up out of his chair.

Keith made an effort to look like he was sleeping. He closed his eyes and lengthened his breaths. This was hard to focus on, though. It was hard to focus on anything other than the fact that… Lance had a crush on Keith.

Keith heard Lance’s footsteps head towards the door of the Red Lion, and then a few seconds later they walked back to Keith. Lance seemed to stop for a few seconds, maybe looking at Keith. Then, he shook him awake.

Keith tried his best to look tired, as if he had actually been woken up from a nap. “Hm?”

“The sand’s clearing up, but the Galra ship is still here. We should get going and explore.”

“Oh. Alright.”

As the two left the cave, they both seemed to be in some effort to repress their emotions. Lance was acting like he felt fine, but Keith could see a sadness in his eyes; he could see the sadness he’d heard in his voice only minutes ago. Keith tried to remain calm and look like he hadn’t just heard his teammate confess attraction to him.

“The Galra are raiding the market place,” Keith observed. “We need to help out.”

“Coms still aren’t working,” Lance said. “There must be something in the sand blocking the signal. Looks like we’re alone in this.”

Damn. Now that Keith was aware for his feelings for Lance, he couldn’t escape them. Even that last sentence Lance spoke made Keith’s heart jump.

“Uh, yeah. Let’s attack the galra at the marketplace first, then we’ll hit the ship,” Keith said.

“Alrighty.”

Lance didn’t have his helmet, as it was broken, so he had to blink sand out of his eyes every few minutes. Keith couldn’t stop looking at him.

When they got to the marketplace, they found it empty of civilians due to the storm, but the Galra were having a ball. They were smashing stands and stealing any food they could.

Keith nodded for Lance to go to the other side of the marketplace. When he was in view, he nodded again and they started attacking. They made sure to go be stealthy at first, as to not attract too much attention when there were still many soldiers up.

Keith spun and slash with his sword, throwing it occasionally and getting into a good rhythm. He always felt that fighting was like dancing. It was just a series of steps that relied on your rhythm. Keith was awful at actual dancing, but he was amazing at fighting.

Every once in awhile Keith would glance over at how Lance was doing. He was switching between using his gun and his sword, transforming his beyard between the two with lightning speed.

Keith remembered seeing Lance use his sword the first time. He’d seen the fire in his eyes and the determination in his movements. Keith remembered feeling something as he’d gazed on at Lance’s new weapon, and Keith was just now realizing that that ‘something’ was attraction.

The two had officially gained the attention of all the soldiers, and a big fight commenced. The two dodged swords and bullets all while taking down as many soldiers as they could. They met in the middle of the marketplace, now fighting together.

Lance shot a soldier sneaking behind Keith and Keith threw his sword into a soldier with his gun pointed to Lance.

It was then that Keith realized how angry he was. He was angry at Lance.

How could he have given up so easily? Why hasn’t he tried admitting his feelings?

Keith felt like Lance had taken away any say Keith had. He hadn’t given him the opportunity to make a decision, he had decided for Keith that he didn’t like Lance back. That wasn’t even true, though.

If Lance had just gotten over himself and admitted his feelings, the tension the two had had between them for their entire journey to Earth could’ve been avoided.

Keith used all that emotion to help him fight, slashing in a big arc and taking out solider after soldier. He didn’t even realize when he and Lance killed the last soldier. He spun around, looking for another target, but there were none left.

“Well, looks like we don’t need to hit the ship,” Lance said, gesturing to the Galra ship that was now flying away. “The sand’s finally cleared up. Do you think they’ll call for help?

“No,” Keith said, trying to keep the anger out of his voice. “I think they were a pirate ship. Only a pirate ship would have flown away at a threat. Victory or death, remember?”

“Oh, yeah,” Lance said, smoothing back his hair with his free hand. “We should just pack some food and go, then.”

The two grabbed some of the sacks of food the soldiers had been trying to steal, and then they started walking back to the cave after leaving money for what they took.

“Should we call the team now? The storm’s cleared up,” Lance asked when they began walking.

Keith shrugged. “No point in it now.”

“True.”

The two didn’t talk much as they walked. Lance said choice words about the mission, occasionally boasting about a certain kill he made. Keith would only reply with a few words. His  mind was a bit occupied.

Throughout the walk, he seemed to map out every milestone in his and Lance’s relationship. He noticed things he hadn’t noticed before. Things like how Keith got unusually upset when Lance denied their “bonding moment” and how Lance seemed to put in so much effort in being Keith’s ‘right hand man’ after Shiro had disappeared.

There were so many emotions in Keith’s head. He’d finally gotten closure on his past, Shiro was safe, and they were going back to Earth. For the first time in a while, Keith had felt like his mind was nice and sorted. Then this had to go and happen.

Keith was starting to wonder why a prominent emotion he was feeling was anger. Like he’d already figured out, he was angry at Lance for not giving him a say in how this whole situation unfolded. But maybe he was also upset at himself. Upset for not noticing his crush on Lance sooner.

The two finally got back to cave.

Keith looked at Lance. He’d just said some pun Keith had only half listened to, and now he was grinning like an idiot. It made Keith’s heart beat fast. It made Keith’s heart beat for Lance.

Keith had a sudden thought. He was so mad at Lance for not giving Keith a chance to act, so why didn’t Keith act? Was he going to do the same thing Lance did and just ignore this all? Not act on any of it?

As soon as that thought had come into his head, Keith threw the bags of food he was holding to the floor.

“Why are you such an idiot?” He exclaimed to Lance.

“Excuse me?” Lance said. He was about to walk into the Red Lion, but upon the accusation he stepped closer to Keith.

“You’re an idiot.”

Lance scoffed, offense stinging his breath. “Care to explain?”

“How could you think you aren’t important to me?” Keith asked with narrow eyes. “Why did you just assume that you don’t matter to me?”

Lance’s offended face turned more into one of worried confusion. “What do you mean?”  

“You know what I mean,” Keith said, anger still in his voice. He spoke quieter this time, though. “The things you said to me when you thought I was asleep.”

Lance inhaled sharply, his eyes widening. You could practically see the dread on his face, along with… fear. Maybe a bit of sadness, too. Keith could understand where all of that came from. Lance had admitted what were probably his biggest secrets to no one, only to discover that someone had actually been listening.

“Keith, i-”

“You’ve been a jerk to me for months, just because of something you thought i’d do,” Keith continued on. “You’ve been making me feel like I did something wrong, when you didn’t give me any say in the matter! That’s just- you’re an idiot!”

Keith took his helmet off and threw it to the ground, alongside the food.

Lance looked completely dumbfounded. “How am I an idiot?” He asked, managing to string together a sentence.

“You didn’t even think to talk to me about all of this. You could have avoided so much pain for both you and me if you’d just talked to me! But no. You just had to make that decision for me.”

“What decision?” Lance asked. His voice was starting to rise with Keith’s.

“The decision that I don’t like you back!” Keith spat out.

“I didn’t- you… Keith, you don’t know what you’re talking about,” Lance said, his glare intensifying. He took a few more steps towards Keith.

“I don’t? Let’s recap,” Keith said. “You figured out that you had a crush on me when i was gone, i came back with my mom, you assumed that i didn’t need you anymore, and you assumed that i didn’t like you back. And because of what you just assumed, you’ve been a complete asshole to me!”

“Don’t pretend like you understand all of this!” Lance practically growled, his anger now matching Keith’s. Their voices sounded layered and bold as they bounced against the dark cave walls. It was then that Lance threw down the food he’d been holding as well.

“There’s not much to understand. It’s pretty black and white!”

“No it’s not, you dick!” Lance screamed. “None of this is ‘black and white’. Nothing i’ve- i’ve been feeling since you got back is ‘black and white’!”

“Then explain it to me then!” Keith said, his arms held out in front of him.

“Okay. Okay, fine. You said that I didn’t even think to talk to you about… about liking you. You don’t know how fucking wrong you are. I’ve agonized over this for months! Basically everyday i had this mental conversation with myself: ‘maybe i’ll say something to him today’ ‘no, now isn’t a good time’ ‘maybe later’ ‘what if it messes up the team dynamic?’”

To Keith’s surprise, there was a thin line of tears starting to form in Lance’s eyes. With each sentence he spoke he stepped closer to Keith, continuing to raise his voice. There was so much venom to his words. Keith thought he’d be burned from them alone.

Lance continued on. “You think it’s so simple! You think i just confess that i like you and we date forever, all happy and gay! This… it’s been terrifying, Keith! I- i barely even knew i liked guys before i liked you, and if you rejected me, there’d be nowhere to run! We’re stuck in space, and on top of this whole dilema i’ve endured over you, i’ve just been trying to get back to my family!”

Keith’s own anger was starting to dissipate as he listened to Lance, but there was still a spark of it there. The tension was so tight between the two boys that it could be cut with a knife.

“So, Keith, what i’ve- what i’ve felt has not been ‘black and white’. It’s been terrifying, and it’s caused me anxiety on top of the anxiety i already had about going back to earth. You don’t know how hard it’s been… wanting to- to kiss you, and touch you, and just talk to you… to do something. Avoiding you has practically been the only option for me.”

“Oh yeah?” Keith snapped, “That wasn’t the only option. There was another option.”

“And what’s that?” Lance said bitterly.

“To do that something. To just… act on it. But you didn’t.”

The two looked at each other for what felt like forever. They breathed hard and their eyebrows were pulled into a look of anger, their eyes piercing into each others heads.

“No. I didn’t,” Lance said angrily. Keith wondered if some of that anger was directed at himself.

“So,” Keith said, “Make it right.”

Lance looked at Keith for a few seconds, his eyes holding a deep determination. It reminded Keith of when he’d seen him use his sword for the first time.

Lance took a few steps forward, practically stomping. He closed the space between Keith and himself as he grabbed Keith by the top of his breastplate, pulling the two roughly chest to chest.

He hesitated a few seconds, looking into Keith’s eyes, and then his lips were on Keith’s.

They kissed, and they kissed, and they kissed, and they kissed.

It was rough at first, teeth pumping into teeth, lips red and probably bruised. They kissed as if it was a new drug and they’d do anything to get more of. Their breathing was loud and heavy, matching the messy lip smashing. They’d taken off their breastplates to get closer to each other.

Slowly, it got more longing. It got more sturdy, and deeper. It was like kissing was an old memory they wanted to bring back to life. Lance’s arms were wrapped around Keith’s waist, and Keith’s hands were gently in Lance’s hair.

Then, they slowed down. They’d kiss, then break apart and look at eachother, then go back to kissing. They’d put their foreheads together for a few seconds, catching their breath. Eventually, they only exchanged small pecks, as if neither of them wanted to be the first to stop.

That decision was taken out of their hands when a voice sounded from the ground.

“Keith, Lance, are you there?” It was Pidge’s voice coming from Keith’s helmet.

Keith and Lance looked into eachothers eyes, it dawning for the first time what they’d just done. Neither of them, red lipped and love eyed, wanted to let go of eachother. Keith had to, though.

He picked up his helmet. “Yeah, we’re here.” His voice sounded rough and full of emotion.

“Are you guys okay? My scanner picked up some sort of storm on your planet.”

“Um. We’re fine, and we got the food. We’ll explain when we get back.”

“Okay,” Pidge said. “Get back soon. We have some new information to go over.”

Keith put his helmet back on the floor and walked up to Lance. “We, uh, we’ve gotta go.”

Lance nodded, not saying anything. The two stood there for a few seconds, all traces of their previous fight gone. It was like a magnet was trying to pull the two together, something in the universe trying to get them together. Despite this, the two grabbed their food and helmets and brought them into the red lion.

Lance sat in the pilot’s chair, powering the lion on. He didn’t go, though. He just sat there, clearly deep in thought. He sighed, as if he was letting all those pent up emotions out in one moment.

“Keith,” he said, looking up at the boy who stood next to him. His eyes were longing. They showed an unended story. “Me and you… Where do we go from here?”

Keith thought about the question for a few seconds. He thought about what the two had been through together, and how they used to talk about their past lives. He thought about how they used to talk about what the future might hold.

In none of their discussions about the future did this happen… Keith and Lance, together.

That was okay, though. The unexpected held so many possibilities. It was intimidating, but it was so exciting.

Keith pulled Lance’s chin up from where he sat. He leaned over and pressed his lips soundly to the other paladins, and he felt all those possibilities. Lance smiled up at him, so much emotion behind his dazed eyes.

Keith smiled back down at him. “We’ll figure it out.”

#1 | My Czech Republic Trip

First Blog Post..

I can hear you saying “this is the year 2017, who even creates or writes a blog”… well hello! I love expressing my opinions and since I do not use Twitter anymore, I needed an outlet where I can talk/vent about things. I thought of blogging, obviously. What will be on this blog? My life. Without further ado, I want to get my first post going. Today(tonight) I will be talking about Bee, my trip to the Czech Republic, meeting Bee, sightseeing, the tournament, your questions, my doubts, the good, the bad… Let’s go!

We all have our dreams and goals. When you put my dream job and the places I want to see, and the dream of becoming the person I want to be aside, my biggest dream was meeting Bee. I think it’s the kind of dream most people would mock having, by most people I mean the people who never lived the fangirl/boy life. First of all, I want to talk about the costs, because I know money is the only thing stopping some of us from going to these kinds of trips weekly. To give brief information, I’m a third year university student, I work part-time at a library, and receive no help from my parents (personal choice.) So I am assuring you, I am not going to 10 tournaments every year and visiting a new country every month. This was such a new experience for me. I had been to Istanbul Cup and the WTA Finals in Istanbul previously, but going to another country for tennis is a completely new experience. I paid 80 euros for Schengen Visa (you might not need a visa for your trip), I paid 920 liras (230 euros) for the round-trip flights from Turkish Airlines. There were cheaper flights (for 138 euros round trip) which I completely accidentally ignored so that was pure stupidity. The tournament was for free, so luckily I didn’t pay for tickets. For accommodation, I was extremely lucky to have one of the bestest people in the world hosting me, I really felt home and welcomed. For the other expenses like transportation and food, if you don’t do shopping and buy things you don’t actually need, 150 euros should be enough for 10 days. I’m assuming you’ll have fancy food for a day or two. So there’s that.

The sightseeing… As I said, I was very lucky to have my friend Jana hosting me. She took me to amazing places. We drove to Bee’s hometown Plzen, which was something I was looking forward to. Even though I sounded like I didn’t like Plzen when Bee asked me about it, I have to say this city is beautiful. We tasted beer at the Brewery, went to the main square, climbed the worst tower but luckily it had an amazing view of the city, then we went to a cute café which we randomly found on our way back to the car. We went to the Hluboka Castle, I have to say it is one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever seen in my life. The town is also very small and beautiful. Coming from a city that is more populated than the entire Czech Republic, even Prague felt like a small town to me, but I have to say I deeply fell in love with every single place we went to. In Prague we went to all of the main touristic attractions I think. I found the Astronomical Clock very boring but other than that I enjoyed this city too much and I am afraid I am now in love with this country.

The tournament. I think it was a very well organised, neat tournament with a great venue. The tickets were for free so that is obviously a huge plus. It is very easy to meet players, or to have a conversation with them (as long as they are willing to lol.) The main stadium is great, I also loved watching matches at the outer courts. The food is also OK, personally I struggled a lot because I am not used to the local cuisine and I don’t eat pork. So I had to eat Lays and drink Pepsi on the first day, and for the rest of the week I had the official tournament cocktail (which was absolutely amazing), and counted hours so we could leave and I could get food haha. The problem with free tickets is that the stadium fills up quickly, especially for the matches of the Czech players. You can’t leave the stadium before Bee plays for example, because if you leave, you face the extremely long queue of people waiting to be admitted inside the stadium where there are zero empty seats left. If I had to pee, I had to to wait for Bee’s match to be over. And we had to arrive at 10am to snatch front row seats, for a match that starts at 1pm for example. That is hours of sitting under the sun (Well sun only shows up for 2 minutes here so it wasn’t such a big problem. It was just very, very tiring.) But to sum up, it is an amazing tournament, and if you like the entry list you should definitely visit.

At some point she was talking about how sad Plzen is as a city I mean that is so cute and so random. TBH I never imagined we would talk about that you know. Which reminds me that I wasn’t the only nervous person and she seemed like she was slightly nervous too. It was very cute. I think a moment I can never forget in my life was when she walked directly towards me after her practice as if we were friends that hadn’t seen each other for a while. I hope she will never read this post this is embarrassing lmao. I won’t go into every single detail because that is actually creepy, guys. But I know that’s what everyone really wants to read. The bee glasses are a different story. I saw them at a store and pointed them to Jana and we both fell in love. I’m shy for these kinds of things so she bought for herself and I didn’t. I couldn’t wear them at Bee’s match for example. I am introverted and weird. But then I turned back to buy a pair for Bára, without a doubt. The next day, I forgot the glasses at home. Bára saw Jana’s glasses and complimented them from afar, I was like fffssss I am so stupid. That day we didn’t end up meeting Bára, which was totally fine I think back to back would have killed what’s left of me. The next day, Jana dragged me to Bára’s post match practice. “Dragged” because I didn’t think I could handle meeting her again :D  Anyways I gave her the glasses and her eyes shined like a little kid eating ice cream. Making her happy really makes me happy. It was such a beautiful moment. She screamed BEEEEEEEEEEEEEE. <3

The doubts, the good, the bad… It was a tough week for me on a personal level. I constantly felt like the worst daughter ever because of the money I spent (even though I was spending my own money) and I felt like I couldn’t care enough for my father who had a heart attack. He doesn’t live with us in Istanbul, and I couldn’t make the time to go all the way down south to visit him with this trip upcoming. Then I had to call him for money because I spent more than I planned to and I was out of funds. I am not embarrassed to say that day involved some tears, with Bára’s contribution because she did a really, really stupid thing I won’t say here. I am sure from her POV it is not as stupid as it is, but really, it was such bad decision-making from her. It’s all fine now. <3

The end….I want to thank Jana. I told her I would write two pages to thank her actually but she will just have to do with a paragraph for now.   Our Australian Place to Be Nation Members, Stacey O’Laughlin, Dave Hall and Michael McDonald, all attended the WWE Super Show Down in Melbourne this past weekend. Here is their live review of the event, as only a group of Australians would see things.

Match of the Night

Dave: In my opinion the match of the night was Buddy Murphy vs Cedric Alexander. I must admit that I don’t watch 205 Live, and have seen very little of the cruiserweight division, but this match absolutely rocked live. Both guys worked hard, had no slow spots, and pulled out some great athletic moves, that kept the crowd involved the whole time and reminded me of some of the great cruiserweight matches from back in WCW. Buddy Murphy looked like a genuine contender for any title this night, and the crowd treated him like a legend. His reception and the pop for the win were the loudest of the night.

Stacey: Cedric Alexander vs. Buddy Murphy – Cruiserweight Title. The crowd support for Buddy was incredible, way beyond my expectations, and the match was HOT from start to finish. Buddy and Cedric came with their flippy cruiser goodness and built it into something special, I fell for a bunch of near-falls, and the finish was spectacular and heart-warming.

Michael: Murphy vs. Alexander. Styles vs. Joe was a very close second and probably only doesn’t get the spot for mine simply due to other factors. Those being this is the biggest spotlight Australian wrestling has had since the 70s and that version of WCW. You had two incredible athletes giving a high octane contest in front of a RABID crowd (seriously, TV doesn’t do the crowd justice here) who were not just invested in the home country guy winning but the entire match itself. It’s also arguable that this is the biggest platform the cruiserweight division has had since they stopped having them on RAW, which basically ensures no one looks bad here. It was crisp wrestling that just stood out over the other matches around it. And that Mickinoku Driver off the spot was beautiful.

Worst Match of the Night

Dave: Sadly, I have to give this to Daniel Bryan vs The Miz. I was expecting this to possibly be the match of the night, and sadly I was “treated” to a three minute match that never felt like it got started before it finished. The crowd was totally caught off guard with the finish, which was why there was no initial reaction to Bryan’s victory. The short time and shock result really left the crowd underwhelmed. I hate giving Daniel Bryan this “award”, but there was little option. While there has been no reason given for why the match was kept short (no news of injuries etc), but immediately after the match the ring crew spent about five minutes working on the ring, which made me wonder if something had happened to the ring and an audible had to be called either before or during the match.

Stacey: Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz. Harsh because nothing was particularly bad on the show, but more than anything it was just… odd. I wasn’t even paying attention when the finish happened.

Michael: Iiconics v Naomi/Asuka. Unfortunately, the other Australian act on the card has to take the worst match of the night. It just felt like Peyton and Billie were visibly overawed by the occasion and Asuka and Naomi had to slow down to keep it together, plus the entire match just appeared to be clunky and awkward, it was just. flat.

Moment of the Night

Dave: No doubt about it from a live perspective: Buddy Murphy winning the Cruiserweight Title was the best moment of the night. It was a great match, and his win got an amazing reaction from the crowd. Buddy seemed genuinely overwhelmed with the response he got, which just added to the moment.

Stacey: BUDDYMANIA~! Buddy winning the title – the first Australian to do so in WWE as I understand it – at home in front of 70,000 people going completely mental for him was just a beautiful moment. And so well deserved after being the MVP of 205 Live this year.

Highlights

Dave: Apart from meeting up with Place to Be Nation members in person, there were a few good highlights in the night. Seeing the entrances for the main event was a major highlight, especially the arrival of the Undertaker. He has an aura that captures the entire arena. Triple H’s entrance was just a notch below, but was also an amazing sight. The post-match beatdown of Triple H and Shawn Michaels was also great to witness live. Another highlight was the moment when Roman Reigns speared Braun Strowman through the ringside barrier. From my vantage point, I could not see Roman set up for the move, and it looked amazing, and the crowd went off, which shows that Roman is not as hated as people want to make him out to be. The AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe match was a solid match, that would have been match of the night if Buddy Murphy and Cedric Alexander didn’t decide to totally steal the show. Elias’ pre-match segment was really good too. He tried to get heat by disparaging one of the local football teams that lost a grand final the previous week. Unfortunately for Elias, in Australia if you are not a supporter of that team, you probably hate them, and the crowd popped huge for the comment, making Elias come across as a massive babyface. Ronda Rousey was also great to watch, it’s just a shame that the rest of the women in her match sucked the life out of the crowd. Ronda’s double armbar finish was great live, and really popped the crowd. I could go on and on, but one last highlight for me was the finish of the New Day match. The finishing move looked amazing in person, and painful, and credit goes to Caesaro for taking the move. 

Stacey: New Day vs. The Bar was a fun opener. Becky Lynch did not lose the SmackDown Women’s Title. John Cena debuting the Sixth Move of Doom Lightning Punch finish. The IIconics got to win and seemed over the moon. AJ vs. Joe was fantastic and almost a co-MOTN for me, another awesome match. People popped for Liv Morgan coming in and beating on Brie. Ronda’s hot tag and double armbar finish RULED and she officially redeemed herself in Melbourne for the Holm fight. Roman’s POUNCE-like spear on Braun through the barricade, amazing. Shawn Michaels somehow took about 37 bumps before his hat came off.

Michael: Buddy Murphy vs. Cedric Alexander.  Styles vs. Joe was a gritty match that was probably the best of this run. Actually seeing Shawn Michaels involved in a WWE event which I had resigned myself as to never happening was a nice personal highlight. Shield vs. Strowman/McIntyre/Ziggler was a fun six-man that had a lot of nice little moments that teased the Ambrose turn again but thankfully didn’t do it.

Lowlights

Dave: There were very few lowlights during the event, but there were a couple. The finish to the Becky Lynch vs Charlotte match was horrible. Becky was over huge, but it is clear WWE want to keep trying to make Becky a “chicken-shit heel”, and so we get a lame DQ that the crowd shit all over. Becky grabbed the belt and barely touched Charlotte with it and the ref called for the bell. The crowd rightfully chanted bullshit and were booing the finish. As mentioned before, the Daniel Bryan vs. Miz match was a big lowlight, as was having to watch Bobby Lashley take most of the tag match. I get that John Cena needed to not take bumps, but Lashley looked terrible during the match. Another lowlight for me was the tepid reaction that The IIconics received in their home country. I think we were all waiting for them to go heel on the mics, and so there was a cautious reaction to them. On top of that they were facing Asuka and Naomi, and everyone likely expected them to lose. Speaking of Asuka, her entrance was cut off and she was made to look second-fiddle to Naomi, and this was just awful to witness live. All in all, it made for a tepid crowd response to this match, which is unfortunate for Peyton and Billie, who looked very emotional when the scored the win. They got a decent reaction the win, which I think surprised most of us.

Stacey: The bullshit finish to Becky vs. Charlotte, the people hated it and they still haven’t learned their lesson about forcing Becky into the heel role. Lashley having to work face in peril for ten minutes. The IIconics tag wasn’t too crash hot and with weird dynamics the heat dissipated too. Bryan and Miz I guess got cut for time and we got short-changed out of another good match on paper. In the main event, Shawn Michaels was interfering freely and Kane would just stand there doing nothing like a dork. I hated the Curtain Call moment before DX got beat up at the end too.

Michael: The two drunks to the right of me who constantly yelled out some of the more vulgar requests of the night during the women’s matches. The Finish to Becky vs. Charlotte was clear as day the moment the belt went into the ring. I get why they did it, just disappointed. Cena/Lashley vs. Owens/Elias… except Lashley. Honestly think that could have been left off the show and it wouldn’t have affected show quality. The lack of a pre show match was a bit of a surprise as it is usually a staple of pre shows.

Most Australian

Dave: A couple of really Aussie moments happened during the night. The “You are a Wanker” chant got an early start when Sheamus drew the ire of the crowd for not allowing us to count along with him. This chant is as Australian as you can get (for those who don’t know, a Wanker is an Aussie term for masturbation, and is usually reserved for sportsmen who are annoying a live crowd). There was another attempt to do this to Kevin Owens later in the night, but it never got going. At the end of the Miz vs. Daniel Bryan match, the crowd on my side of the stadium got involved in watching a “match” between two kids on the floor of the arena, which drew massive pops.

Stacey: Many contenders for this. The upgraded seats gimmick being sponsored by meat pies. “You Are A Wanker” chants. Elias trying to get heel heat by dragging Collingwood and most of the crowd cheering in agreement because everyone hates the Pies. The crowd running the gamut of Aussie chants during Buddy’s match, all the way up to singing “Horses”. Jojo becoming an honorary Australian by pronouncing Melbourne correctly. The “height” of drunk bogan comedy, shouting “50!” and “Deliberate!” at things that aren’t footy games. But the winner is probably the floor seats not being traditional folding chairs, but rather white plastic lawn chairs from Bunnings.

I realise that none of our non-Australian friends will not understand literally any of this. 

Michael: Elias mentioning Mick Malthouse and Collingwood’s choke job of the Australian Football League Grand Final was probably the most Australian part of the night, close though was one section of the crowd’s impassioned rendition of “The Horses” by Daryl Braithwaite (an iconic Australian song from the late 80s/early 90s era) during the six woman tag goes right up there.

Did that Really Happen

Dave: Before the event started, WWE ran a promotion to get upgraded to ringside seats. When the camera was on people, they were to wave the wrappers from their meat pies (if they purchased one). The crowd cheered this one guy who had a foam finger in his mouth and waving wrappers with both hands. Then when the camera moved to someone else, the crowd would boo. The camera kept returning to our foam fingered hero, and the cheers got bigger. Then the camera switched to this young 10-12 year old who got boo’d as the crowd wanted to see their hero. The reaction seemed to catch the production crew out, but they did adapt. Only in Australia does a crowd boo a 10 year old kid in favour of an adult biting on a foam finger.

Stacey: This is where I have to talk about THE GREATEST MATCH OF ALL TIME taking place during Bryan vs. Miz out on the floor behind the seats. Two little kids were getting their Ospreay on and went absolutely BONKERS with this epic spotfest, a match so legitimately good that we all started watching them instead and missed the whole Bryan/Miz thing. One kid eventually jobbed to an AA and LEAPED UP and hit a SHOOT SPEAR on the winner because he was shoot hot that he’d lost the greatest match of all time. Wouldn’t you be. Then they hugged it out like they knew they’d just had a workrate classic. Then they had a rematch a minute later. Security did pretty much nothing to break this up by the way. A modern classic. *****3/4

Michael: Miz vs. Bryan ending so quickly. No one saw this match only lasting three minutes, if it was that long. Part of the reason I think lays in the fact you couldn’t actually hear any of the referees counts all night. Most of the people around me only thought it was a two and it just caught everyone off guard. Crowd was happy Bryan won, and there wasn’t a HUGE uproar from where I was sitting but can totally understand if some people walked away feeling slightly jipped there.

Overall Experience

Dave: I had a great time at this event, and it was totally worth the money spent on travel and accommodation, and the lack of sleep for two days, to be a part of the event. The matches were all good in the ring, save the Bryan vs. Miz match, and the crowd was into everything that happened. My view was great. While a little high up in the arena, I had a front on view of the ring, and could see all the entrances, plus I had a view of the video screen, so I did not miss anything.

Stacey: I had a blast. I feel like the card delivered, with a couple really good matches, a lot of solid matches and really nothing remotely bad. It moved quickly from match to match and never really dragged watching live. We got the special hometown moment with Buddy and the fun clusterfuck of Legends in the main event. And being in a GIGANTIC crowd like that, in such a gigantic stadium was a fantastic experience, and to their credit the crowd was really good and kept the energy up all night (regardless of however the sound translated onto TV). The only downer of the live experience was not being able to see entrances and not having them up on the screen.

Michael: Incredible, personally driving three hours to Melbourne and three back afterwards left the entire event physically exhausting but totally worth it. The show went for four hours but being live it actually didn’t feel that long overall which is a great positive.

How did this event compare to other events you have attended?

Dave: This is my third live event in Australia, and it was certainly the best one I have been to. The event felt bigger than previous house-shows, and seemed to have more meaning than the 2002 Global Warning Card, which was just a glorified house show. We had a title change hands, and a main event that actually meant something. Most of the matches had genuine, on TV storylines, that were either concluded or advanced, so you felt like what we were watching matches that had a purpose. I hope the WWE comes back down under again next year to do another PPV level event��� but, next time make it in my own city of Sydney rather than Melbourne.

Stacey: This is an unfair question after I went to WrestleMania six months ago, but it was the best live event I’ve attended in Australia for sure. Having an actual, honest to God WWE PPV in Australia is absolutely incredible and a dream come true for us long suffering faraway fans. I wouldn’t have missed it for the world. And again I think the card delivered and we got a lot of good wrestling up and down the show. I’m definitely a happy camper.

Michael: Most events I have attended have been basic live show events so this far and away blows this out of the water. From production to the quality of matches this was by far the best event I have attended. Above all I know there will be some who viewed Super Show Down as a “throwaway” event that had to consequence to them, but make no mistake for the audience that attended this was a big deal. Australian audiences have never had a show that even comes close to having any significance as far as outcomes/ story advancement and Global Warning to be honest was a glorified live event that they filmed for a chopped down DVD release. This was a show that MATTERED to what happens to storylines and a show that was hyped on worldwide TV beforehand. That makes going and enjoying the show a lot easier because it mattered to those in the crowd.  Hope they do another one.
