Rebrand of this blog! Now there are multiple people (beings? I don't know) who will post here.
There's me, @lily-of-the-flame, aka The Author.
Of course I'm still here, but now I have blue text! If I could figure out how to have yellow text, I would. If it wasn't clear, I'm Belior.
I'm also here. I'll be correcting my father a lot.
I'm not your father.
Close enough. I'm Felira, Goddess of Nature and some other things. If you ask me about how something in our world works be prepared to sit and listen for an hour or two.
Please calm down you two. Where's Nehil?
The Abyss? He's throwing a temper tantrum again. As per usual. I think he's mad about being invited.
That checks out. Keep in mind you can ask any of us questions. Just make sure to let us know who the question is for, otherwise I'll just pick at random.
Oh, and if anyone knows how to use other colors please let me know.
I believe I would rather not introduce myself quite yet. You will know me in time.

Felira's four different forms. She doesn't change with the seasons, she changes at will. Each form strengthens one of the four natural elements she uses.
Summer strengthens fire/light, spring strengthens earth/life, winter strengthens water/ice, and autumn strengthens air/wind.
She generally chooses a from to fit with the current climate of the area. So at the top of a snow-peaked mountain, she would choose winter, even if it's actually summer.
Also the names of each are the names of what she's holding.
She's in summer form most of the time. Even when in a form not specialized for a certain natural element, she's still incredibly powerful in those elements. She is a goddess after all.
She has 7 weapons in total. The four seasonal weapons, her staff,
and her sickles.
I haven't named the sickles yet, and the staff has no name. It's just a piece of wood. She can grow it out of the ground at any time and then just leave it behind when she no longer needs it.

Lucia plays Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn: Part 2 Endgame
So Elincia instantly recognizes a bit of hair of Lucia's. . .? I know she lives in anime hair land where every colour of the rainbow and then some is a natural hair colour, but still. She needs to be very familiar with it to just recognize it. . .
Ah, there's a CG attached. With this much of it I guess I'm not as surprised, but still.
Ohohoho, we're getting Amiti back! That sword was already sick in PoR, so I'm looking forward to having it again!
Base conversations - here's Callil! Nice, let's see if she can put in some work.
And Haar's giving us a Mend. Alright, sure.
And. . . ahhh, I knew it! This is the exact map layout that they used in one of Fire Emblem Fates' DLC maps! I remember playing that one a bunch to get a lot of the class item for Ike's class, but that has been years already. I wonder if these skills are transferable.
We got traitors in our ranks, of course. I can understand why Elincia wouldn't want to kill the guy, but can she at least kick him in the dick?
So, the map itself - for how much the game wanted to drive home that I just needed to defend and not try to take out enemies, these enemies. . . really weren't that challenging to deal with. I managed to have Heather steal a whole bunch of goodies including the Draco Shield, got some good level-ups for Nephenee and Haar, and when I tried to stall the boss so that somebody else could get the exp, Elincia activated her skill and just killed him. It was a fun map though, I'll say that!
Ahh, there we go. That's the supposed execution scene that I heard about and had already seen ages ago.
"I was testing you" - . . .what the fuck, Lord Lodveck, duke of Felirae??? Testing somebody is for interpersonal drama at best, not for politics! This guy instigated an uprising and had who knows how many people die just to see if Elincia makes for a good ruler? What???
Good on Elincia for basically also making that point. Jeez. . .
Animated cutscene - well, the voice acting wasn't terrible here (the German one, I mean), but it also wasn't amazing. Also have to say, Soren looks a bit older in the animated cutscene style than he actually does in the game artwork.
So Mia explicitly joined Greil's mercenaries now, is that it?
Oh, so that's why nobody could find Ike and the others. They were deliberately hiding. Okay, sure.
And Elincia insisting on taking out the remnants of the rebellion herself. Sounds like a good decision.
Ike learns that the Black Knight is still alive. Surely that won't lead to any future encounter.
Second part done! Hmm. . . it did feel a bit rushed still, but in this instance it did work a lot better than it did with part one. We basically spent most of the game in PoR setting this cast up, so have more characterization than just these few chapters. Still, this part honestly feels shockingly short.

IkeSoren Week Day 5
Author notes above cut, skip to cut for the story.
This takes place near the end of Part 2 of Radiant Dawn, right before the Greil Mercenaries are going to need to make their reappearance. This takes place in my understanding of Tellius canon, with my own headcanons. At this point, Titania has talked to Ike about his recently budding relationship with Soren, Mia has figured it out, and Mist knows that Soren is Branded but does not know Ike and Soren are involved. Soren and Ike have been together for a month or so.
It’s part of a larger work I intend to post to AO3 one day when I’ve hammered it out some more.
Greil Mercenaries
In the middle of the afternoon, as they waited in an abandoned fort near Melior, Ike called a meeting with the mercenaries to discuss the blooming civil war within Crimea.
"So, Gatrie, Rolf, what did you find out?" Ike asked, sitting at one end of the table with Soren next to him on his right. Titania sat on the side of the table to Soren’s right, and Mist sat on the side of the table to Ike's left.
"It's not just the people in towns that have turned against the Queen," Gatrie said, "Some of the soldiers have as well, even outside of the Felirae territory."
"Yeah, it was kind of scary," Rolf said.
"You didn't get into any fights, right?" Ike asked.
"Nope," Gatrie said, "No fights."
"Everyone just seemed so mad about everything," Rolf said.
Ike looked at Shinon and Boyd, "Tell me more about the investigation team that was sent out by Queen Elincia."
"It was Lucia, Brom, Nephenee, and some other beorc woman I didn't recognize along with Lethe, Mordecai, that heron princess, and a really old looking crow," Boyd said.
"Princess Leanne's there?" Mist asked.
"Apparently they've been visiting for some time," Shinon said, "The royal courts are really pleased to be hosting a bunch of sub-humans."
"Shinon," Ike said tersely.
"What?" Shinon asked, staring at Ike, daring him to say anything else.
"Anyway, we overhead them saying they were going to show the heron princess around Crimea," Boyd interjected while Shinon and Ike stared at each other, "Starting with the Felirae territory for some of the local fruits they liked so much."
"Duke Felirae will be so pleased to find out Lucia is visiting him to take laguz on a tour," Soren commented, "I wonder if he'd be happier knowing she brought the laguz there to investigate him."
"Do you think they'll need help?" Ike asked, turning away from Shinon to look at Soren.
"Assuming that by really old raven, Boyd was speaking of Nealuchi, the chamberlain of Kilvas," Soren folded his arms across his body and considered. "I doubt we'd be of any use. Lucia, Nephenee, Brom, Mordecai, and Lethe can handle themselves in a fight, and if they're going to get into any conflict while in the Felirae territory, we wouldn't get there in time with our current position. Besides, our contract with Bastian is to help Queen Elincia, if she needs it. In order for us to be effective as a surprise force in the later conflict, blowing our cover now would be inadvisable."
"I'd just hate for anything to happen to them," Ike said, "Especially Princess Leanne. I know how much she means to Prince Reyson."
"I hear Nealuchi has some battle prowess, despite his age. King Tibarn and King Naesala wouldn't have left him as her escort if he couldn't watch out for her."
"Why even bother worrying about sub-humans?" Shinon asked.
Ike glowered over at Shinon.
"You seemed to become good friends with the hawk king's eyes, Janaff, during the war," Soren said irritably, "Well, as much as you are capable of befriending anyone. You can't figure it out?"
Shinon scoffed. "Ike, I get. He's been fawning over them since he laid eyes on them. I bet he'd even go out with one if he wasn't so interested in the queen, but you, Soren? I thought we were on the same page."
A heavy silence swept through the room like a muted thunderclap. Titania and Mia looked over at Ike. Mist looked at Soren and then at Ike. Soren saw the way Ike's arms tensed.
"What an obvious attempt at provocation," Soren commented dryly, "You really are getting stale."
Shinon glowered at Soren.
Soren raised an eyebrow. "Did you actually expect a response to that drivel?"
Shinon huffed and looked to the side. "You've gotten boring. Used to be that I could get under your skin saying anything bad about little Ikey."
"Some people get smarter as they get older. But I suppose I can't blame you for not being able to comprehend that, since your intelligence peaked about eleven years ago and has been on the decline ever since."
Ike let go of the breath he had been holding and his body relaxed. "Don't drag me into your attempts to goad Soren anymore, Shinon. I don't appreciate it."
"Whatever."
"Commander Greil wouldn’t have let you get away with just saying anything you like about Ike," Titania said forcefully through gritted teeth, "Stop being so rude."
Shinon looked at Titania and then rolled his eyes before looking to the side.
Mist nervously pulled her fingers down a lock of hair in front of her shoulder. "It's not that bad to want to be in a relationship with a laguz, is it?"
"Come on, not you too, Mist," Shinon groaned.
"What? No. I mean- Some of the laguz we fought alongside in the war were really handsome. But so were a lot of the beorc too."
"Mist," Ike groaned.
"Come on, Boss, you didn't notice that almost everyone that joined up with us was really good looking?" Mia asked.
"Oh, yes, all the women who fought with us were radiant," Gatrie agreed.
"No one cares what you think, Gatrie," Boyd grumbled.
"Did anyone in particular catch your eye, Mist?" Oscar asked after quickly glancing down at Boyd.
"Nope!" Mist proclaimed, her face red, looking at Oscar. "I-I didn't really like anyone in the army that much." A quick, brief, glance to Boyd betrayed her.
"Must be like your brother then," Mia said, leaning over to faux-whisper into Mist's ear.
"Huh?" Mist looked from Mia to Ike.
Ike buried his face in his hands as Mia chortled.
"Can we get back to the subject at hand?" Soren grouched.
"Why it's bad to like a laguz?" Rolf asked.
"No, the civil war," Soren said irritably.
"But is it?" Rolf asked.
"Yeah, of course," Shinon interjected, "Humans and sub-humans don't get along."
"Stop saying that," Ike snapped.
Shinon groaned. "Beorc and laguz. There. They don't mix."
Ike’s expression soured. "That's not what I-"
"But why? We can be friends," Rolf protested. "Right?"
Soren leaned forward, pinching the bridge of his nose with his fingers, brows drawn together. It was entirely obvious what Mist had been trying to get at. Trying to figure out how the company would feel about beorc-laguz relations, and subsequently, their offspring.
"I don't know, Rolf. Maybe Rhys could answer that?" Ike suggested.
Soren shot an angry look up at Ike, which Ike pointedly ignored.
Rhys blinked and furrowed his brow. "I'm sorry, you have me at a loss, Commander. Why would I know more than the others?"
Soren busied himself by looking at the maps.
Ike shrugged. "I just heard some priests from Begnion talking about it while we were in the Mainal Cathedral. I thought it was a religious thing," Ike said in the smoothest lie Soren had ever heard Ike say. In fact, if Soren hadn't already been painfully aware of how Ike had found out that Branded were considered a crime against the goddess, Soren might have believed it.
"If it is, I've never heard of it before," Rhys said, sitting back to put his hands in his lap. "I just know the goddess wishes for us to live peacefully with the laguz. That's the only teaching I can recall off the top of my head."
Titania cleared her throat, "I do know as part of the terms of living in that village in Gallia, we were told to keep to ourselves and not get too close to the laguz. We could be friends, obviously, like King Caineghis and Commander Greil were. Maybe the laguz just aren't comfortable with such things given their past in Begnion."
"Humans like us shouldn't be either," Shinon said.
"I heard some things like that while I was part of the army," Oscar remarked, "Some of the other soldiers said King Ramon was far too familiar with the laguz. They were reprimanded quite harshly by Duke Renning for spreading that kind of gossip since King Ramon was very loyal to his wife."
"So, back to the matter that we're actually being paid to discuss," Soren interjected forcefully, "I think we should scout out the Felirae territory a little and see what his machinations are. Given the state of things, I think we should all go and be prepared to enter the fray at a moment's notice."
"But we were having fun," Mia protested.
Soren gave her a witheringly exhausted stare. "Fun doesn't get us paid."
"You're as boring as the boss is, no wonder you two get along so well," Mia said with a smug grin. Soren began to wonder if she knew something.
"Mia," Ike called out, suddenly sounding as over the conversation as Soren was. "Can we focus on the job now?"
"Fine," Mia sighed.
"When should we leave?" Titania asked.
"It's too late in the day to make any real progress," Soren said, "We should get everything packed up tonight so we can set out first thing in the morning tomorrow."
"I agree," Ike said. "Let's get to work on that."

There's a reason I love phoenixes.
I have to agree on that one.
A migrating phoenix has stopped for a decadent sippy of water from a stagnant puddle in a Walmart parking lot and has ignited the years of accumulated fuel leaks into the surrounding pavement. It's so happy.

What are the deities' opinions on transgender people? Let's find out!
I'm sometimes female when I feel like it and have helped people transition. Also I deliberately designed a gender-affirming afterlife. I think my actions speak for themselves.
It's not actually as uncommon as one might think for creatures to change genders. A commonly cited example in your world are clownfish. See, in clownfish communities there's one female and a bunch of males and if the female dies then the biggest male becomes a female and-
Gender is meaningless. Identity is meaningless. You are all merely particles waiting to decay, and I will bring that decay to you. You cannot stop the passage of time. You cannot avoid your death. Entropy is inevitable.
It is up to you to choose your path. It is not my place to choose for you, nor is it up to others to decide what you do with the life you are given.
Well, that's all the time we have for today! See you soon with more absolute chaos!

I'm watching a video on r/MenWritingWomen (as advice what NOT to do of course) and I had an idea.
No, hear me out. Jade (lesbian), getting hit on by some random dude decides to play along, but has no idea what she's doing and sounds exactly like that. Then, when he thinks he's won, she stabs him.
Peak comedy. In her opinion.
Jade likes stabbing people.
Note that the only female character I have with even somewhat large breasts (so far at least) is literally the equivalent of mother nature, and I mean,
Not really.
Side note, for well written women from male authors, I can't decide who the prize goes to.
Brandon Sanderson with, well, if you've read any of his books you know.
Michael J. Sullivan with, again, if you've read any of his books, you know.
David Eddings also does pretty well, though maybe not as consistently.

Meet Felira-dra, my Khajit warden with whom I am currently exploring the MMO The Elder Scrolls Online. How did that happen? Roughly a week ago, there was a post on my dash that ESO is running a free trial week. Meaning, it is free to play for a week, no strings attached. Whoever it was, I don’t know if I should hug you or yell at you! :) I think I’ll go for the hug though. I should have known better, but of course I clicked the link, thought “why not explore a new MMO for a change”. The last MMO I tried was Rift, I think. Ages ago. Usually, I just go play the trial and then think “it was fun but meh, I don’t have time for two MMO’s, I’ll stick with Everquest II”. But to be honest, for quite a long time Everquest II has been more frustration than fun. It was actually a bit better with the new addon released in November, but overall it just all feels so rinse-and-repeat. In an MMO that you played for 12 years, nothing really feels new or surprising. And sadly, you do notice that they just try to squeeze all the money they can get out of their players for the least possible effort. I should have known better than to look into a new MMORPG at this time, but oh man was I blown away. I fell in love with ESO INSTANTLY. It just feels like the complete opposite to EQ2 and many things in ESO are exactly the way I wish they could be in EQ2. ESO has stunning graphics, but that alone could never lure me in. I love the game mechanics, that you have all these options and possibilities in what you want to skill and you skill by playing the game, you’re not trying to loot some dumb scroll which increases your spell’s strength by killing mob X 40 times. In ESO, everything seems to scale to your level. The mobs, the gear you loot. Heck, I can go back into the tutorial area and kill mobs and they drop stuff appropriate to my current level (which is 10, I am still a noob). I can travel almost everywhere and do quests and explore and everything feels like it is designed just for that particular time when you visit it. It is amazing. This is truly a game where exploration is key. And I just love that you can be a thief and even a murderer and benefit from it. Makes the game so much more fun! Everywhere are crates, sacks, boxes, stuff that you can just pocket and put to good use in crafting. I love the crafting system as well, you can immediatelly use all crafting stations and craft stuff if you have the ingredients. No “you can only be that particular class” restriction. Though I suspect that limitations in which skills you can master will apply to crafting and adventuring later on, it still gives me lots of freedom which I so dearly missed in “my” EQ2. I can only play games casually right now. I do not have ambitions to go raiding or dungeon hunting all the time. I have barely scratched the surface in grasping what you can do in this game and how everything works. But that in itself is a challenge I will gladly take on. Currenty, I love to explore and take in the beauty of it all. And I hope it will not wear off so soon, I just enjoy this feeling of discovering a whole new world! What is nice is that you can play it without a subscription (but there is a subscription model with extra benefits for those who want them). I bought the ESO collection which has the addons and 4 DLC’s included for 40€. That will last me a long time adventure-wise! I already have a ton of beautiful screenshots from the game I want to share with you. So expect a lot of ESO-related pics! This does not mean I will stop being a simblr or anything. Promise.

Lucia plays Fire Emblem Radiant Dawn: Part 2 Chapter 3
So now we're following Geoffrey. . . I haven't really commented on it yet, but I think it's pretty interesting how the game jumps around with the cast like this. To some extent it reminds me of some of the DLC maps for Fire Emblem Fates, where you get a whole new set of characters and then need to figure out how to best deal with them in the situation they're given. But in this case, I suppose all these characters are coming together later on, so this isn't like it's all a one-and-done kind of deal. I'm vaguely aware of which character is available in what way later on, but I can imagine that if I were truly 100% blind in my playthrough of this, this would be a bit frustrating while making it difficult to get attached to an individual character.
So Geoffrey is getting his desire for violence satisfied. Four chapter with four different main characters now.
It's actually pretty interesting to get specific numbers for how many soldiers Crimea is fielding in terms of the story for once. 6000 total. . . that's a lot. This is really just a half-remembered anecdote, but in actual historic battles, I think if you had hundreds of soldiers it was already a lot. Which is just to say, fantasy writers throwing out big numbers with no real concept.
But either way - Lord Ludveck Duke of Felirae having exact information of what's going on on Elincia's side. . . alright, who's the spy this time?
KIERAN IS BACK! Funniest guy.
As for base conversations - . . .oh no, Makalov's back. And he's. . . hitting on Geoffrey? Now that'd be a funny pairing.
But Callil, Largo, Stella, and Devdan- excuse me, Danved are back! Having Callil back is nice - she came in so late that I didn't really have an opportunity to actually use her in PoR, so maybe this game will be able to rectify that. But. . . not counting on that. Largo, I already know he's not actually playable this time around, which. . . odd. I mean, I haven't actually used him in PoR, but still odd. Devdanved. . . so is it actually ever going to be explained why he's pretending to be someone else. . .? And has he always been talking about himself in third person? I didn't actually use him in PoR either, so once again, I have no idea. Stella. . . why did they have to attach you to Makalov of all people.
Elincia giving Geoffrey a lance, except she's taking it away except not really. Not much for me to add there.
C'mon Geoffrey, let Kieran hang up his axe on the mantel! He knows what to do with it.
But also, such a shame that Kieran and Oscar got seperated.
The gameplay here was a bit all over the place. A whole bunch of ally units, enemies that for the most part felt like fodder (which I guess makes sense in terms of story), and the challenge of having my allies not take up any space. I'm surprised at just how tanky Danved was, though.
The beacons are lit! Geoffrey calls for aid! . . .Well, not quite. He's just warning. But huh, didn't expect them to pull in Haar like this again.
And Lucia's getting captured. Feels like an odd story beat, honestly. I suppose there's a whole lot context I'm still missing?

It’s here! The Radiant Dawn arc begins now (^O^)/
The Greil Mercenaries are making their grand entrance back into the public eye. Will it be the end of an era for Soren, or a new beginning?
Wattpad | Ao3 | Quotev | MediaMiner
EXCERPT!
“Queen of Crimea!” shouted the rebel leader—a man wearing the plumed helmet of an army captain. He stood at the base of the scaffold and pointed an accusing finger at the fort. At his call, the crowd hushed. “We demand that you release the Duke of Felirae! Refuse, and Lady Lucia will die!”
Tilting his head as far as he could without dislodging his hat, Soren caught a glimpse of Elincia standing on the battlements above the main gate. Geoffrey was standing beside her, which was a good indication the Royal Knights weren’t about to launch an assault against the crowd. (Soren, for one, didn’t want to find himself caught on the end of a cavalry pike).
“No!” Elincia called back, with an authority that spread ripples of unease through the crowd.
“You have half a mark! If the Duke is not released by then, the girl dies!”
“Queen Elincia,” Lucia croaked, trying to raise her voice as much as possible. “Don’t listen to them! Don’t worry about me!” Her eyes were fierce, and she was standing tall despite her injuries.
But the rebel captain didn’t appreciate her outburst. “Quiet!” he ordered, “You can die sooner, if you like!” He gestured sharply at one of her guards, who promptly stuck her in the ribs with the end of the spear. The blade went in and out in a flash.
“Gah!” Lucia’s whole body convulsed against the pain, pulling the noose tighter to her neck. She tried to stand straight again, but a new bloodstain was spreading down her side. Soren wondered if she would survive the half hour the captain had given Elincia to decide.
Returning his gaze to the battlements, Soren could see Elincia and Geoffrey arguing, but he couldn’t hear a word. The murmuring of the crowd rose again; people began chanting and jeering. Elincia promptly turned and disappeared, but Geoffrey remained, glaring down at the people threatening to kill his sister.
Soren, meanwhile, moved about the crowd. Whenever he had a view of the woods, he tried to determine where Titania, Gatrie, Oscar, and Boyd were waiting, but there was no sign of them. Glancing at the tree where he knew Rolf and Shinon were stationed, he was satisfied to see no shadow or motion betraying them. The minutes ticked by, but the mercenaries stayed in hiding. As Calgary had reminded them yet again before sending them off, they were only to act as a last resort. They had to wait for Elincia’s decision.
Eventually she reappeared on the battlements, and the crowd quieted again. “Rebel soldiers, hear me! Ludveck of Felirae, having conspired against the nation, will stand trial. As the queen and ruler of Crimea, I refuse to negotiate with those bent on destroying it.”
“So you’re gonna let this girl die!” the rebel captain cried in frustration.
“Hah!” Lucia coughed victoriously, bringing up blood that dribbled down her chin. She was still trying to stand straight.
The guard who hadn’t stabbed her took this chance to kick her in the calf. “Tch,” he complained when she didn’t fall, “Kick, scream, beg—give us a show, wench!”
But Lucia remained composed. Soren wondered if she’d caught sight of Ike creeping toward the base of the scaffold or if she really was prepared to die.
“Your highness!” called the captain, “Your trusted friend will now die. Let this burn forever in your memory!”
“People of Crimea…” Lucia seemed to summon the last of her strength. She was shaking now, and her voice was hoarse with blood. “Behold your true queen! Your queen! Long live Queen Elincia!”
Now was the time. Soren counted the soldiers closest to him and those between him and Ike. He brought one hand to the neck of his cloak and the other to the spell book on his hip. His lips were ready to begin incanting.
But the shot didn’t come.
It should have come as soon as Elincia had made her announcement, but Soren could understand why Rolf might want to give Lucia a chance to spout her inspiring words. Shinon, on the other hand, wouldn’t have wanted to wait, and neither of them should be delaying now. The executioner was moving to the lever. His hands were on it now. Lucia’s eyes were closed.
Soren wondered if he’d overestimated Rolf and Shinon’s abilities. Perhaps neither one could make the shot at such a distance. Or perhaps they’d been discovered and already taken out. In a worst-case scenario, Soren could cut the rope himself, but from this distance, he would probably hit Lucia as well. He started whispering the words, but then, finally, an arrow came sailing through the air.
It cut through the rope a foot above Lucia’s head, embedding itself in the gibbet’s timber. The executioner pulled the lever, but Ike called Lucia’s name as he ripped off his cloak and closed the distance between them. With whatever energy she had left, she pushed herself forward, falling from the scaffold and landing in Ike’s arms.
