Updated my Barduil playlist again. Dermot Kennedy's Kiss Me reminded me of them every damn time I heard it on the radio so there you go. And check out this amazingly gorgeous version of the song! *gooseflesh* *tears* *tearing at my ribcage*
Barduil - a playlist by Ruwin
I tried to put together songs I would play to a newcomer in Barduil fandom, or someone who wants me to introduce them to my OTP. Songs with the most genuine, primal Barduil feel of Thranduil & Bard in Middle Earth.
I think I’m gonna make another playlist that will be “Barduil AU” (I’m not entirely sure what that’s gonna mean yet. I only know I still have too many “Barduil songs” that didn’t make it on this list :D)
You can listen to the whole playlist on Youtube
1. Hello My Old Heart (The Oh Hellos)
2. Pain Told Love (Tribe Society)
3. Big Eyes (Kyla La Grange)
4. Under The Stars (London Grammar)
5. Ghost on the Shore (Lord Huron)
6. A Memory’s Lament (Reuben And The Dark)
7. Hurricane (ZAYDE WOLF x FJØRA)
8. Cuckoo Song (A Silent Film)
9. Trees (Twenty One Pilots)
10. Time (Uzari & Maimuna)
11. King and Lionheart (Of Monsters And Men)
12. Bow and Arrow (Reuben And The Dark)
13. Saturn (Sleeping At Last)
14. Once (Felicia Sorensen)
15. Kiss Me - Strings Version (Dermot Kennedy)
I’m open to any suggestions of my fellow Baruilings who sure have some songs of their own. If you think you know about a song that’s missing on my playlist, don’t hesitate to tell me ;)

REVIEW
The Best Laid Plans by Karla Sorensen
The Best Men #1
Excellent introduction to a new series and a wonderful new-to-me author I will gladly read again!
What I liked:
* Charlotte Cunningham: Restoration Expert, loves old homes, guarded heart, honest, caring, feisty, isn’t afraid to express her feelings, attracted to Burke though it takes a while to admit it
* Burke Barrett: retired NFL player, had a difficult childhood, grumpy, loves his sister and sister’s children, takes care of others, takes a while to realize what his feelings are and how to express them
* The dynamics of the relationship between Charlotte and Burke and watching the romance develop
* Daphne: Charlotte’s aunt, hippie type in the past, in a relationship with Richard, a bit on the wild side
* Tansy: Burke’s sister, divorced, mother of nine-year-old twins Ford and Felicia, wise, loving, and has a good relationship with her brother, hope she gets her HEA and a book of her own
* Chris & Amie: good friends of Burke and Liam, deceased too early, bequeathed the Campbell House to Burke and their daughter to William – their presence is strong and felt throughout the book though they are never seen in person
* Liam Davies: football player, guardian of Chris & Amie’s daughter, Mira
* William: builder who focuses on restoring historic homes, would like to see him in a book of his own
* The Campbell House: Stunning once and will be again by the end of the book
* All of it except for…
What I didn’t like:
* Thinking about the impact death has
* The way Burke’s father treated his children
* One of the entitled self-important builders that showed up before William arrived
Did I like this book? Yes
Would I read more by this author? Yes
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC – This is my honest review.
5 Stars
BLURB
A tough-as-leather football player. A happy-go-lucky historian. It’s love against all odds in a warm and emotional romance about found family, friendship, and the restorative powers of the heart. Former Dallas football player Burke Barrett is weathering a lot of changes. He’s retired from football. He’s mourning the loss of his best friend. And now he’s been bequeathed a dilapidated house in northern Michigan he doesn’t want. To his surprise it comes with a long-legged, blindly optimistic renovation manager with big ideas for Burke’s inheritance. She’s passionate, irritating, and irresistible. Restoration expert Charlotte Cunningham is used to rough exteriors. This surly client, with his stubbled jaw, towering physique, and inflexible attitude, is worth smoothing over. The attraction sizzles, and a proposal is in order: a romantic tryst to relieve the tension. No strings attached. A safe bet for both of them since Burke is prepared to renovate, sell, and move on. A pet project with an end date. Does that go for love too? Burke must decide what he really wants and what he’s willing to risk. He should know by now that the best-laid plans can change in a heartbeat.

A TON to cover here so bare with me, y’all. Also remember this is a promoter talking so draw your own conclusions from here:
A good eight minutes or so of this was about Cyborg and it is a lot to take in. The general big takeaway is that Cyborg's going to be free to do whatever is she wants to do. "Releasing" Cyborg is just a nice way of saying they're waving the three month exclusive negotiating period. Made it clear that they had no intent to match any offers for Cyborg but we've seen them match people before so WE SHALL see. The UFC did wave that right on Lyoto Machida as well so maybe they're legitimate about that.
One thing that was brought up was Dana's comments about Cyborg in 2014. He sort of runs through it from a grander POV and again, your mileage may vary. He would've been better suited just admitting he was stiff with his comments/actions and just apologize for it. He tries to apply context but there's really no context that will make that come off in any sort of a good light. He talks about it where it began, where it came from and some of the factors around Cyborg at that time. He talks about the UFC paying for Cyborg to fight in Invicta and then in turn signing her to the UFC. The "I always hated Tito" line is mentioned as well for whatever that's worth. Basically in so many words it's nothing you haven't heard before.
As far as Cyborg being scared to fight Amanda Nunes, he mentions that she refused to fight Nunes and instead wanted Pam Sorensen or Cindy Dandois (which IS true) and eventually did get the fight done and she lost in 51 seconds. He talked about Cyborg not being able to get fights because women were afraid to fight her after she popped for PEDs. He points to GDR not taking the Cyborg fight because Cyborg popped for PEDs and then we get quotes of Cyborg saying that GDR was scared to fight her. "And so how can she be mad at me for saying she doesn't want to fight Amanda Nunes and I don't blame her?" Says everything is a smokescreen to get around her not wanting to fight Nunes and she can go chase the easy fights elsewhere.
"If you don't want to fight Amand and you don't want to be here then why do I want you here?"
-As far as the feathweight division? We get neither a yay or nay on it sticking around. Dana said Cyborg wasn't going to be the future of 145 lbs anyways and he'll talk to Amanda Nunes and see if she wants to fight at 145 lbs. "We'll continue to try and find talent like Felicia and continue to bring new challenges for Amanda."
-Same stuff re: Jones. Should be fine.
-Re Jones vs DC III, Dana says he doesn't think it needs to happen but the fans want it to happen. Said both guys want it at 205 lbs which is weird to him.
-Zuffa Boxing will be off the ground (he HOPES) in October. We've heard this before. They're officially building offices for it.
-They're doing TUF again. Basically what he said on Tuesday about it being the best way to test a fighter and so on so forth. We are stuck with it folks. Said it's too important to the brand.
-He wants to do a second season of DWCS during 2019. Said that it pulls big numbers on ESPN+ and he wants to do another one but the talent pool is thinner than they anticipated. Called it a "fight" between him and the matchmakers.

Former strawweight title challenger Janaisa “Evil Princess” Morandin (10-2) returns to action in the Invicta FC 36 co-main event, welcoming newcomer Emily “Gordinha” Ducote (7-5) to the organization’s 115-pound division.

Amazon Dates Danger & Eggs
Amazon has dated the premiere of its latest series Danger & Eggs:
SEATTLE–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Jun. 7, 2017– (NASDAQ: AMZN) — Amazon today announced its original animated kids series Danger & Eggs is scheduled to premiere on Friday, June 30 on Prime Video in the US and UK. Featuring the voice talent of comedians Aidy Bryant (Saturday Night Live) as D.D. Danger and Eric Knobel (Huge Theater) as Phillip, the series will also include guest star voice talent from Weird Al (Milo Murphy’s Law), Lori Petty (Tank Girl), Charlyne Yi (Knocked Up), Kate Micucci (Garfunkle and Oates), Mary Elizabeth Winstead (Scott Pilgrim), Jasika Nicole (Fringe), Felicia Day (Geek and Sundry), Jonah Ray (Nerdist, Mystery Science Theater), Angelica Ross (Her Story), and Jazz Jennings (I Am Jazz). Danger & Eggs is created by Mike Owens (Yo Gabba Gabba!, Animaniacs) and Shadi Petosky (Yo Gabba Gabba!, Mad) and executive produced by Owens, Petosky, and Chris Hardwick (Talking Dead, @midnight). The pilot, which was part of Amazon’s Fall 2015 pilot season and is rated 4.6 out of 5 stars by customers with 80% 5-star reviews, is now available to stream exclusively for Prime members via the Amazon Prime Video app for TVs, connected devices including Fire TV, mobile devices and online–Prime members can also download the pilot to mobile devices for offline viewing at no additional cost to their membership.
Danger & Eggs follows the endless adventures of a fearless, teal-haired girl named D.D. Danger (Aidy Bryant) and her ever cautious best friend, a giant talking egg named Phillip (Eric Knobel). As the daughter of world-renowned stunt daredevil, Roy Danger, D.D. is following in his footsteps and is always chasing her next big thrill. Luckily for her, Phillip is always there by her side with jerry-rigged safety mechanisms to make her thrill-seeking dreams come true. Together, they go in search of new adventures at their favorite spot, Chicken Paw Park, which is home to Philip’s mom Becky, a gargantuan chicken. The first season finds D.D. and Phillip meeting a raccoon with a thirst for technology, being sucked into a mysterious underground science lab, discovering a lonely robot in an overgrown garden, and taking on a famous zip line. Throughout their journey, they overcome obstacles with the “Buddy System” because even though they are polar opposites, their differences complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses to solve problems. Their Buddy System mantra says it all, “You look out for me and I’ll look out for you!”
“We are excited to introduce our first animated comedy for children ages 6-11 to our customers,” said Tara Sorensen, Head of Kids Programming at Amazon Studios. “We feel incredibly lucky to be working with the caliber of creative talent behind this series.”
“For us, the heart of Danger & Eggs is the friendship between Phillip and D.D. that proves you can face fear and danger and have a blast in the process because you are not alone,” said Mike Owens. Adds Shadi Petosky: “We can’t believe we get to take out our anxiety on a show–putting our inside voices into these characters and seeing if they stay friends.”
“I’ve been passionate about animation my whole life and to produce this series with my animation company fulfills a lifelong goal,” says Chris Hardwick, Executive Producer. “This show is funny, touching, and has incredible design–everything I’ve wanted to make.”
Below are what customers have said about the Danger & Eggs pilot:
“[My 8 year-old son] asked to watch this show at least four times! He loves it! I’ve watched it with him for at least three of those times.”
“As a father of a little girl with anxiety issues, I really appreciated Phillip’s portrayal. So often in cartoons there is shaming of nervousness or anxiety (ie: C’mon, don’t be a wimp) but in Danger and Eggs, Phillip is just there. He’s an anxious character and that’s ok.”
“My son loves this show! He’s 6 and says he loves the characters and finds them very funny. He loves the art style and how crazy and fun it is.”
“As a father of two young daughters, I was thrilled to see a show that revolves around a young girl going on playfully dangerous adventures without the need of an overly macho cohort saving her! Added points for the wonderful humor that is also incorporated for the older demographic without it being crude.”
“My 10-year-old daughter and I both loved it! She appreciates the subtle humor and animation of this show and said she wants to watch more!”
Danger & Eggs is part of Prime Video’s growing line-up of award-winning and critically-acclaimed Originals for kids and families. All 13 episodes from the series will be available to stream and enjoy using the Amazon Prime Video app for compatible TVs, connected devices, including Amazon Fire TV and mobile devices, or online at www.amazon.com/kidsoriginals, at no additional cost to their membership. Prime members can also download select titles to mobile devices for offline viewing. Eligible customers who are not already Prime members can sign up for a free trial at www.amazon.com/prime. For a list of all Amazon Video compatible devices, visit www.amazon.com/howtostream. Danger & Eggs is also available as part of Amazon FreeTime Unlimited, the all-you-can-eat subscription service designed from the ground up for kids.
