Something so incredibly fucked up it makes me want to scream about how almost every time Roman recalls some fucked up childhood event EVERYONE around him denies it. I don't recall. That wasn't how it happened. No, you actually liked it.

Growing up in an abusive household where everyone is pitted against each other by the abuser, it means that you can't really talk about the abuse as it happens if you're isolated, and the abuser gets in the ears of everyone and tells their side only, and everyone else thinks you deserve it.

And so you grow up, and you get the courage to talk about it but everyone denies it ever even happened - they don't even fucking remember it, or they do but that you deserved it, you had an attitude problem.

And so you fucking tear your hair out as an adult wondering if any of it was real or if these personality altering things really were somehow imagined. You gotta choose to be delusional to your family or choose to be delusional to yourself. Either way you're alone and you're the only one that will ever understand and have your own back.
