Quick Info: - The RP takes place on Discord - The server/RP is 18+ only.  - Mature and violent themes will be present - Canon characters are open, and OCs are welcome!  - Although if you wish to use an OC it has to be approved and you also need to claim a canon character as well, just to keep everything well-rounded in the RP.

This server is friendly and very laid back! We do our best to be welcoming and understanding when motivation to write is low, or when real life takes control, so even if you can’t get a reply in, always feel free to hop on and just chat 🙂

In-depth info:  Six months after the events of Fear The Walking Dead's last episode, a nuclear event occurred that terminated 89% of life as it is, most settlements didn't survive, nor did the animals and the plants, The blast is pushing all living life to the East Coast, which is more viable. At the moment two of the most viable locations are: The Haven led by the Ottos and Alexandria led by The Grimes and said settlements were in a constant fight for resources and survival. Further details about the plot can be found on the server. 

Changes in the shows' stroylines depend on how it would affect the overall plot and whether it would make sense or not. The changes must be permitted by the admins and yes, we encourage creative world-building!

friends and mutuals, I've made a server for text rp. here are the details:

no strangers. if you've come across this post and aren't already regularly visiting or visited by this blog (or my main, @zinziinziiin ), you are not going to be allowed in. you could join later, but I will not invite people unless some form of bond has been established.

the current maximum occupancy is 30 players. I don't want this to be a huge, sprawling thing, hence the earlier point of no strangers. I've dealt with casts of around this size and smaller in text rp games many times before, and I can handle it well.

we'll be using vtm v5. apologies to players who prefer other editions, but this is my preference as ST.

Unimportant ramblings v

Time stamp: Jul 15? Heeeeey. Hello. So I did take a break from art till like last week, but uh, the health has been a roller coaster-

I kinda cleaned the whole house compulsively multiple times. I dunno what to say about that. Went from the compulsion to be Always Drawing to Always Doing Chores, so it wasn’t really a break? It felt amazing for a little while, but I am so stressed inside ahagfhkhdf. Anywayssssss.

I realized that promising to do the art requests Later is just me returning to old behavior, like just... keeping it on the line so I /nobody gets a direct answer *when* it will be done. That makes my brain think it’s in the clear while the other artists are worried and unsure what’d happen. Andddd even though I did have the motivation to do animated group projects for a little while, a small thing completely knocked me into dropping everything else.

I know I *could* try to join more projects or do more requests, I’m not in a safe headspace where I wouldn’t be set off, and nobody should risk their project’s deadline for that-

TLDR I’m going to Try and fix things up on my end and stop myself from joining anything (that depends on Every artists effort). Even if I feel alright *now* I know there’s a lot of risk for *later*- just don’t let me in anything big and important even if I ask, please- for at least a year-

Hrrrh the yeehawgust prompts (cowboy theme!) look so cool but I won’t double up- but I will try to participate in the September AI-less-Whump month. (gore and dark subjects! But probably’d lean towards Institute ending if I had to choose now.

Welcome to Yden! An overview of the newest area in Angara Death Zone (an 18+ Discord-Based Multi-Fandom RP Group)

Whether you've gotten used to the wetlands and are looking to explore further, or you're looking to join as a new member, this is an exciting time in Angara Death Zone!

We'll have more info about the sand, sun, and surf in Yden, but if you're looking for a Discord-based multi-fandom roleplay to join, look no further than Angara Death Zone! We are an 18+ group set in a society over a thousand years removed from a great disaster, with mystery as one of our major themes! There are also elements of sci-fi, fantasy, and a touch of horror to be found in an underground city surrounded by wetlands. And just recently, the known world got even bigger now that contact has been made with another human settlement for the first time in over a millennium! Though, you may find that these beach-loving humans are a little different than what you might expect.

To the northeast of the region known as Angara Death Zone, Angara, or ADZ, is the city of Yden. Unlike Angara's wetlands, Yden is surrounded by lush, subtropical forests, stunning beaches, and a vast, pristine ocean. Its residents enjoy a bustling city life and unforgettable nightlife, though they're more than just party animals...the residents of Yden are mutated humans, with most of them possessing animal features! They have a Cache just like the one in Angara, though theirs sustained some minor structural damage that allowed Waves to enter and cause non-lethal mutations to some of the population. Over generations, these changes became far more common until everyone developed them.

Yden is full of things to do, whether you want to take a day trip via the newly-built high-speed rail line, the Angara Express, or you want to stay for longer. There's shopping, restaurants, nightclubs, and plenty of venues supporting visual and performing arts. If you're looking for a more laid-back experience, there's lots to enjoy at any of the beaches!

Contrary to the attitudes in Angara, the people of Yden have little to no interest in the past, before the unknown disaster during the Bygone Era. They like to plan things for the future and enjoy the present, and they seem to view Angara as quaint.

But not everything in Yden is purely for leisure. Hidden away in the forest to the south of the city is a large structure known simply as the Cursed Ruins, and it didn't get its name without a good reason. People who venture into this place out of curiosity or daring either never come out, come out with uncontrollable violent tendencies and delusions, or they've managed to escape the changed people with their lives. Eventually, they constructed walls around the structure, not wanting any more young people to go missing, get hurt, or lose their lives. But maybe, if positive relations are built with Yden, you could be the one to investigate the place.

Tis a roleplay blog for a segment, specifically Uta. Or also like one of Dottore's segments. Around probably mid 20s or so ?? I don't really have a specific timeframe in mind so there's that but yeah. Kinda think young(/ish) and can kind of be chaos often? That's the best way I can describe it I think—

・❥ That established, they use they/he. Alternative, doesn't care which is specifically used, so long as it's those. Or it. They also vibe with it so that can work

・❥ They are very much with the Fatui. Apart from that, he isn't really affiliated with really any other group. Does not seek it out. Feels no need to. Could probably get him to join something though tbh, but Fatui will always be the main group

・❥ OCs or Canon characters, either or. They might have some relation to some canons though already in mind, so keep that in mind probably? The other segments and Dottore/Prime himself for example. If it comes across a certain way (ie rivalry/dislike, cough cough Diluc n others who do not like the Fatui particularly) that's probably the reason! Might not be on purpose rip

・❥ Uta is demiromantic demi-graysexual. Please keep that in mind if you are trying to be romantic rp wise. It will take a while and intimate type activities are not priority. Unless it's a pre-decided relationship, which in that case you get to deal with Uta being lovey-ish. Kind of

・❥ Specific 'build' would likely be the Eta build.

✧ No straight up NSFW and such things. Suggestive might be fine depending on the character and the relation. If you're actually looking for that, you'd probably want to be on good terms with Uta. Otherwise it will probably not be received well. It really depends for suggestive stuff. Joking wise it might be fine + OOC.

✧ Please be patient. Depending on how many asks, esp if there's many rps going on, it may take a while to get to yours. I promise I'm not ignoring you. I might not have seen it either if Tumblr decides to eat it.

✧ Roleplay in asks is fine. All I ask is that you specify who you are/who character is (unless you want to be an anon instead n stuff) and sign off so I can note that properly n keep track of who it is + relation to Uta.

As things have progressed, we've got people finding their way around on the server. A new location, Ma's Diner, is our meeting place as well as wastelanders having adventures searching for cryptids.

The main focus is getting newcomers accustomed to either discord RP, the Fallout universe or both! I wanted to give people the opportunity who've never tried either to explore how the setup works as it's their first time playing.

There will be a planned event with a major super mutant battle in the month of July and build on the aftermath of that.

After this event, it'll be time to open up the group to everyone and get more folks to join in and expand our roster. But July is the time for things to get moving!

Two Locations (BOTGD2)

It was cramped inside the safe house. Even if the building had been roomier and populated by half the number of humans, it would have felt cramped. The very situation - of being forced to hide against his will - made the simple cottage walls feel like prison bars. It didn’t matter the front door was unlocked. Everything he wanted to do was locked from him.

Egil hadn’t slept well all week. He sat upright, leaning against the walls, adjusting and readjusting his position as he tried to get comfortable. Futile. He listened as one of his daughters shifted in her sleep. Even the building, creaking and groaning, stirred restless. 

He stood and began to pace the room.

Many villages scattered the countryside. One, located at least a week’s ride away from the safe house town, looked fairly similar: small, unassuming, with nothing more than a few clumps of cottages and a single street of modest markets. But there were still enough women and men around for a tavern. Frankly, the lack of anything else to do but farm and weave made the tavern more necessary. Drinking boredom away was the town’s hottest recreation.

Moonlight led him up the road; lamplight invited him inside. About a dozen customers sat circled around the tables, reaching in for cards, meals, or pints. A short-skirted waitress wandered between them, forcing herself to smile as she handled inebriated complaints. A fiddler stood on a table near the back. The sawing melody was unrefined, but Egil recognized it all the same: a folk tune about a man who out-manipulated demons through a series of disguises. 

He sought out the friendliest looking group and pulled up a chair uninvited. He plopped both elbows on the table, pulled out his most winsome crooked grin, and asked, “Mind dealing a hand for another player?”

Mera was snoring softly. So was Avara. Jonas was awake, outside, monitoring the neighborhood for suspicious signs. Jonas had taken more night watches than anyone else combined, it seemed. He really did seem wound up about this hiding business.

Well. Awake as he was, Egil could relieve his brother. He wasn’t sure Jonas had the ability to relax, but taking watch would also help Egil. He needed to do his part. He might not feel comfortable being king, but this simple duty was one he could handle. And the more he could prove to himself he deserved the crown, the less tedious these nights would feel.

Three golden coins landed crown-side up. The symbol of the king glinted on the table. Ironic, given as he’d run away two weeks ago to forsake kingly duties. And run away from running away, too.

Look, if he was going to leave the castle to save his skin, he’d do it on his own terms, his own way, not holed up because Stonegit said so.

Last he’d heard, Avara and the rest of his family had left for shelter anyway. Interesting they hadn’t gone looking for him. Though maybe they had, and he just hadn’t caught wind of it yet.

That had to be it. King though her son may be, Mera wouldn’t let Egil off the hook for this one. Someone was searching for him.

Heh. Let them try. Better here than whatever cramped quarters Stonegit had prepared. Here, at least, he could continue living a decent life.

The fiddler was playing loud as Egil set down the Jack of Diamonds and won his hand.

Egil found Jonas near the edge of town.

“Hey,” he said.

“Hey,” his brother said in return.

He sat down next to Jonas. They stared at the full moon in silence.

“Pretty quiet night for a Tuesday, amirite?” 

“Mm.” 

It was hard to tell if Jonas’ response was an agreement or a disagreeing noise trying to get Egil to shut up.

They lingered in silence.

Egil tried again.

“Dad ran away too, huh? Way back in those days.”

“Also for duty,” Jonas pointed out. Egil could feel his brother opening up for discussion; this conversation was apparently more agreeable than the calendar comment. “Standing up for what he believed was right, fighting for the rights of his citizens, even though that meant leaving the castle and capital and what many of the higher ups believed proper of him.”

“This still feels different. Ya know. Dad went out to fight. We’re... we’re hiding.”

“The rebels also went into hiding sometimes.”

“I guess.”

Jonas looked over at his brother, the first eye contact he’d made all night. His light eyes glowed from something internal, not just the outside moonlight. He leaned in, and emphasized kindly, “You’re doing the right thing.”

“Yeah yeah yeah, I know.”

Egil sighed, feeling imprisoned, even though he’d left the building. 

“I know.”

They fell into silence again, and this time, Egil didn’t try to reignite conversation. They let the night softly sigh as wind whisked through their hair. 

Pretty quiet night for a Tuesday, indeed.

In the cramped tavern quarters, Egil had never felt more free. Drinks and money flowed, voices rose and fell, excited shouts sometimes drowned out the fiddle, and Egil had caught the pretty young waitress with a wink... and she’d smiled back. Once this card game was done, he’d be winning something else tonight.

Among the ruckus, he heard many things. Conversations of town gossip - “Ya hear? Melid’s pregnant again, and she ain’t been ’round her husband at least a year.” Conversations of the king - “Did you hear? King Egil fled the castle to go in hiding. Bet he’s locked up safe, wherever that is.” Conversations of everyday life - “I feel like the full moon’s keepin’ us all awake. This place is pretty busy.”

“Yeah! Pretty rowdy night for a Tuesday, am I right?”

✨🌙Reviving a Vocaloid / Synth RP server, Evermourn University! 🌙✨

Welcome to Evermourn University! Evermourn is a prestigious university, attended by only the most qualified of students. Located in a secret pocket of Big Diomede, an island between Russia and Alaska, Evermourn is the center of a community of magic, fantasy, and learning. Elves, witches, vampires, and goblins run wild through the halls, all coming together to pursue their degrees.

Evermourn University is a Vocaloid and Vocal Synthesizer RP, meaning you can write any Vocaloid or other software character! (Please note that UTAU and Deepvocal are a bit stricter with who you can choose!) Server link will be below the general information here!

The RP is a sandbox RP, meaning there is no overarching story. Anyone is welcome to jump right in with whatever is happening or find interactions with other characters!

It is set in a modern fantasy AU, meaning there are fantasy elements but set in current times! You can choose from many different occults for your character, or even just human!

Apart from class, characters can meet other characters and make friends, join clubs, start chaos-- whatever! Aside from all of that, sometimes there can be unexpected events, things that'll challenge a character~ it's not a normal university after all!

Please note that you must be 15 years or older to join, as there are sometimes themes of violence-- however, the rp itself is 100% SFW, no sexual content is allowed.

General Character Creation

-Any VOCALOID or Vocal Synthesizer character is allowed, but keep in mind that UTAU, DeepVocal, and other user created voicebank softwares have some restrictions based on the notoriety of the voicebank.

-Your character can be a student, or can be a professor/faculty member with mod's permission.

-Your character is either going to be a first year, second year, third year, or fourth year. Their year will determine their skill level and experience with magic learning. Your character can be of any age 16 or over (although most should be of university age).

-Magic is available only to occults; regular humans are incapable of it, while wizards are humans who have a magic-sensitive gene. Feel free to make your own system of magic that works for your character, just do not enforce it on others. In combat interactions, a die roll will be used to determine how successful spells are.

Location and Society

-Evermourn is located on Big Diomede, between Russia and Alaska. Not all of the island is used due to most of it being arctic and much is wilderness or small villages, the most frequented village being Dragonbarrow Village. Additionally, there are heat and light charms to keep a stable temperature and day/night cycle that is not usually present on the island.

-Technology is slow to arrive to Evermourn. Internet is a relatively new phenomenon there. Additionally, occults typically try to hide their presence from non-occults, and are wary with sharing their heritage or knowledge of the University itself due to a history involving non-occults hunting occults of all kinds. There was a security incident that only fourth years remember, but students are forbidden to mention it.

-While on campus, you can do any magic so long as it does not harm others (otherwise you will be punished by a professor). Outside of the campus in the human world, it's advised to only do smaller spells or none at all to keep your presence a secret!

General RP Rules

-Each participant in the rp can claim up to 2 characters -You must respect all characters and headcanons here whether you like them or not. -Your character can be a villain, but you cannot act out/roleplay scenes of r*pe, sexual assault, abuse, etc. Additionally, your character can be antagonistic, but going out of your way to have them overly antagonize a character isn't allowed. -Triggering content must be spoilered! Slight violence and gore is allowed if spoilered! -No double character claims -Relationships between characters MUST be consensual between both parties, but crushes alone are fine as long as they don't escalate beyond where the other person is comfortable. Unwanted romantic contact will be considered harassment and be addressed accordingly. -No incestual or pedophilic relationships.

Let's Clear Up Some Confusion!

This post is breaking down two sections of the Writing Server Interest Check form I posted recently! You can find a link at the bottom of this post, and you can find a link to a taglist post at the bottom as well.

Features

I love the feature suggestions I've been seeing, but I also want to clarify how I've been using the word "features"!

I've been using it as a way to describe characteristics of a possible writing Discord server that you might not have heard of as a writer on Tumblr or that I haven't seen a lot of in the writing servers I've been in.

An example is sprinting! Sprinting is big in a lot of writing Discord communities, but not as big on writeblr! That's why I mentioned it and gave it a brief description so that it would grab attention and spread information.

Another example is RP Rounds! A lot of times, people think of RP as a fandom thing or as solely interaction between characters. However, it doesn't have to be! It can be interaction with locations, magic systems, etc. I included this in one of my posts because it's not something I often see.

Some things I didn't mention were general writing channels and critique channels as I thought I'd implied it in my "pitch", which was "Anyone want to join a group (hosted on a Discord server) dedicated to writing, collaborating, critiquing, beta reading, editing, etc. and welcoming all types of writing (including fanfiction, screenwriting, etc.)?"

That being said, a channel for thought provoking questions about WIPs, characters, worldbuilding, etc. and a channel for sharing work and receiving constructive criticism in return, both examples of suggestions I've received, are still answers I love because they show that y'all are actually interested in the server and are thinking about what I'm asking!

So if you haven't completed the form yet, let me know your thoughts for the open ended "Do you have any suggestions for other features?" question, and whether or not it's something that I feel is a given, I'll still appreciate your input either way!

Rule Structure

I also wanted to touch on the question about rule structure.

Would you prefer rules to be more broad and lenient with room for interpretation or more elaborate and consistent with less room for interpretation?

I'm going to offer an example of each so that they might better help you all understand what this question is trying to gauge.

Example A, Broad and Lenient (with room for interpretation):

Keep your hands and feet to yourself.

This is a rule you'll often hear in schools. However, you won't often hear it enforced. Its purpose is to prevent physical fights, and as long as your hug isn't causing a scene, they're not going to say anything about it. However, some people will enforce it quite literally and say things like "no high-fives".

This means that the rules aren't only open for interpretation for members, but also staff members!

Example B, Elaborate and Consistent (with less room for interpretation):

Any physical acts of violence are prohibited. Physical acts include but are not limited to punching, kicking, biting, hair-pulling, and shoving.

This is a rule that goes more into detail about what's not allowed and will be easier for staff to enforce because it does not require the staff member to decide whether or not it is "worth it" to get involved with a certain issue like in the one above. If this rule is broken, it is an issue. Plain and simple as that.

This means that there will be more structure, templates, etc. that allows everything to stay organized!

Conclusion

Relationships: Tim & Jack Drake

I’m going to start with telling that this is my view and how I will rp my Tim. It’s based on what’s in the comics and I’m trying to not add or remove things to it, just patching the holes and analysing what facts I have. I know many will disagree with me, which is fine. This post will also contain some general info about Jack himself. And as usual, if you have any questions, feel free to contact me.

First of all, Tim does not think he’s been abused by either of his parents. Were they the best parents there is? No, but unless you’re the Kents or Graysons (and let’s be honest, parents like that doesn’t exist in the real world), that will apply to most parents. Did he wish they stayed home a little more often? Yes, he did, but he knew they loved him, although at times he did doubt, and when they couldn’t be home, they made sure he was at boarding school or if he couldn’t stay there, that the housekeeper stayed with him. Tim, however, had a tendency to sneak out, something rarely noticed by others.

When away on digs or business, they made sure to contact Tim daily, either through a call or messages. Sometimes that wasn’t possible though, since some digs were at remote locations. Which is another reason to many missed flights, trains and other modes of transportation, the location didn’t give much to choose from in those regards.

During the periods his parents stayed in Gotham, Tim spent more time with his dad than his mum. Usually because he and his dad had more similar interest and Jack used to tell him about the digs he’d been to and how to best obtain the artifacts (which he donated to Gotham Museum). Tim has always felt proud about his dad’s achievement, even if he wished he’d been home more or that he could’ve joined him on the digs.

They were also on different outings together, like fishing trips and sports event. Though, he was still away too often and it wasn’t uncommon for Tim to be without his parents more days of the year than being with them and he quickly learnt to be self sufficient, despite having a housekeeper when living at home. This is the reason his parent didn’t notice his obsession with Batman and Robin, never seeing the scrapbook he had and when they were home, Tim hid it. There was also a lack of emotional display. There were no hugs or words of affection.

However, after Janet died and Jack himself nearly perished too, he tried to change. He apologised to Tim for how absent he’d been and that he was going to change, that he wanted to spend more time with him. Something that gave Tim a rather bittersweet feelings, and a lot of guilt since he knew he wouldn’t be able to be around as much as his dad would like (and Tim does want to get closer with his dad, but Robin is needed too and it’s an important part of who he is).

So far we have a relationship based on love, because yes it is there, uncertainty and a lot of guilt on both sides, and for Tim, there’s also some repressed anger.  Why wasn’t he enough for them?

Jack also has a bit of a temper (something we will later see Tim has inherited as well) and that he doesn’t listen to others when angry.

All in all, they have a rocky relationship. Things goes up and down for them with both of them genuinely trying their best, but Jack doesn’t know how to be a dad all the time (and he was beaten by his own dad, using a belt) and Tim has his and Bruce’s secrets. However their relationship does improve with time, especially after Jack meets Dana.

Jack doesn’t exactly react well when finding out that Tim is Robin, ending up threatening Bruce and making Tim retire. Later though, he does come to terms with it. He doesn’t like it, but he understands.

In the end, they manage to develop a pretty good relationship, especially after Jack finds out Tim is Robin, but then, he gets murdered.

He has a major in business management and a minor in archaeology.

Strong interest in (you could call it obsession) archaeology and art.

Was CEO of Drake Industries, but more famous for his archaeological contributions.

He played football in high school.

Jack and Janet had been together for about two years, and married for one, when they got Tim.

He was 38 when Tim was born. (Janet was 27.)

He was a member of a secret club called the Ninth Legion.

Hi, this is Niko, the mun, again. I know Jack and Janet is generally viewed as abusive, but neither me nor my Tim can view them in that way. Yes, they weren’t the best parents, but I could never call them abusive. To me, Jack is a pretty average dad. Yes, he could’ve paid more attention to Tim and Tim felt lonely a lot growing up, but what kid doesn’t feel that. I’m not intending on stopping anyone from having their view, but this is mine and my Tim will never claim that his parents abused him.

The Howling Owl is Hiring!

The Howling Owl is a faction neutral RP event driven guild. We host monthly RP events open to both the Horde and Alliance RP communities. We also have guilds on both Horde and Alliance side of the Wyrmrest Accord server. We’ve been around and going strong since 2018!

The Howling Owl is the name of Azeroth’s premier faction neutral coffee shop and cocktail bar. It’s a place of sanctuary both for guests and staff. A place to forget your worries. Staff is offered free lodging on the premises as well. In need of a way to start over your life? Or just need a change of pace? The Howling owl can be either of those things.

We use The Drunken Hozen in Dawn’s Blossom, Jade Forest as a backdrop. ICly the coffee shop/cocktail bar is located in neutral territory in Pandaria. Lodging and other buildings are also located on the premises and available for staff to use for free.

We host two types of events, monthly:

Poetry & Story Night:

This is a low-key, quiet event where patrons can enjoy coffee, cocktails, baked goods and other light food while listening to poetry, stories and sometimes even music performed by patrons or staff.

Club Night Owl:

A dance club is located upstairs. Come to enjoy a lively atmosphere, some amazing drinks and some of the best DJs Azeroth has to offer!

-We also host various seasonal and special occasion events throughout the year, such as festivals and parties that sometimes even include opportunities to perform!

-Sometimes, we have booths at outside vendor events or are hired to cater events.

-As a guild, we hold monthly guild-only social nights for us to all relax and hang out to RP together too!

Currently, we are recruiting to our guild (Horde or Alliance) for the following positions:

Bartenders/baristas/servers: Takes orders for refreshments at our events

Security: Ensures safety at our events

Other staff opportunities include: Photographer, greeter.

What can you expect from joining The Howling Owl?

We have a diverse group of people with us who all love to roleplay and love attending, hosting and supporting RP events to help keep the WrA RP community thriving on both Horde and Alliance!

We have no big storyline that we do as a guild and instead we serve as a vehicle to support your own character’s stories. However, we do host monthly guild only events where we simply hangout together and do casual RP.  We also often attend other guild’s RP events to support them. We chat and goof around in Discord and just generally are a laid back sort of group!

What sort of people are we looking for?

We are looking for anyone who loves faction neutral RP and don’t take themselves too seriously! We have a variety of characters with us and are welcoming of all types! We really just value those who are active and excited about RP and being involved in our events!  That said, we keep things laid back and aren’t militant about being at every event. We’re all adults with lives outside of this, after all!
