Great to meet you! I am Mod Orion, but you can call me by any name you wish that I rp/answer as on this blog.

This is a Wings of Fire ask/rp blog, so most things will be from there or my own personal au. Depends on which character. This is a SFW blog, so absolutely no suggestive content beyond eggs/dragonets. I will delete asks that imply further.

The mod is an adult (21) and would like it if minors stayed out of the DMs. Asks are fine though as they’ll be publicly seen.

Now, additional rules and information for the blog:

-No power playing. I don’t exactly appreciate others taking over my ocs or the characters I act as. It becomes less fun with power play.

-Events take place primarily in my alternate universe, but for main characters I rp as, it’s mostly between the end of arc 2 and the beginning of arc 3 since I have not read it yet.

-Spoilers will be on this blog, so approach with caution.

-I currently don’t have sprites, so I will be using either sketches for OCs, or comic panels from the official graphic novels for the characters I interact as.

-Please be respectful to the mod. This is very much a “give respect to earn respect” blog, so be warned.

-Those looking to be immoral to characters will be blocked no questions asked. I want this blog to be welcoming with open arms to anyone who wants harmless fun

Death to The Darkstalker

Two thousand years ago, the NightWings were funneled down a *far* darker path than they ended up on.

A group of NightWings had been sent, on behalf of Queen Vigilance, to the IceWing kingdom. It was publicly stated to be a simple diplomatic matter, but it wasn’t. Vigilance, along with most of her council, had plotted to try and “steal” animus magic from the IceWings. One of the NightWing delegates, Prudence, had a daughter around the same age as the animus prince. The plan had been for Foeslayer and Prince Arctic to have an affair, to produce an egg or two, and gradually bring animus powers to the NightWings.

If only it had been that simple.

Prince Arctic ended up running away with Foeslayer, back to the Kingdom of Night, back to the NightWings. They did produce two eggs; Whiteout and Darkstalker. This threw the two tribes into a long, viscous war.

When the dragonets were three, for reasons unknown to any living dragons, Arctic killed his son, Darkstalker. Maybe he was beginning to live up to his name… or maybe the prince wanted a way out. Either way, he’d fled back to the Ice Kingdom, leaving Foeslayer and Whiteout behind. The war began to falter at that point, but it didn’t *truly* end until a group of rebel NightWings partnered with the IceWing Princess, and assassinated both Queen Vigilance, and Queen Diamond.

Both tribes retreated, though much more peacefully than they had started. The IceWings were far pickier about diplomatic relations, while the NightWings spent the next century retreated in on themselves. Their kingdom became a haven of knowledge and study - one that they began to share with the other tribes. They eventually opened their school to the other tribes, and NightWing hybrids became far more common as the years went on.

But now… now the continent was at war again. Three SandWings sisters, fighting over a throne none of them were truly fit to own. And when a NightWing student received a prophecy, it thrust a group of dragonets into the front lines to stop it.

Character Guidelines:

Characters: Any of the core seven tribes are allowed (including hybrids), but they HAVE to be current attendees of the NightWing Academy

Age: All characters are six and a half, having been born on the Brightest Night

Backstory: Characters can have varying degrees of knowledge on the War of SandWing Succession

Must be 15 or older to apply

Okay call me stupid, call me crazy, heck, call me a conspiracy theorist.

But something has been bugging me.

"Three Moons" is typically used in a way that resembles the usage of "Dear god" or "Jesus Christ" who are considered higher beings in religion.

Now think about this: We have dragonet named MOONwatcher who has both mind reading and prophecy seeing ability as much as Tsunami tries to deny it.

Now it could be that Secretkeeper was just feeling the vibe of the moons that night, but you can't tell me that now I bring it up it doesn't at bare minimum make a little sense that there is something to work out here.

Additional Information:

Once the prince of the Scorpion's Den, Set had fallen in love with the now queen of the Sandwings, Neophron in their youth. He was a well known assassin, taking no mercy upon those who betrayed him or his family.

He was taken as Neophron's personal body guard, going out to war for her and her mother to prove his love. He was the happiest dragon when he came back and married the love of his life. Their marriage lasted months, almost spilling into the festival of the sun with how much Set wanted to openly share his love to his now wife. He was even happier when he learned he would be a father to four dragonets.

Though peace was not to be kept for long. He was out on one of his wife's diplomatic with the other queens, the Pantalan queens specifically, as his wife rested. When he got home, intruders had been let in. Two trying to persuade his wife to marry one of them while the other smashed their eggs. He had caught the two, first, taking no mercy upon them. The one in the hatchery had smashed three of the eggs. Set, in silent tears of fury, made sure the dragon's body was not found. e stayed in the hatchery, barely sleeping in fear of losing their remaining egg.

His tone turned cold, but not hiding the warmth with his voice to his wife and son. He had traversed storms, been in war, killed in assassinations, and he felt the deep guilt of not being there for his wife and his now dragonet, Owl. He wasn't going to let this happen again. Not to his own or any other dragonet.

Set sits upon the throne in Neophron's place as she does not enjoy the spotlight. He aims to clean out dragons who have proven to be dangerous around others. He keeps the queens very close in case they decide to try to harm his wife and dragonet.
