Someone sent me an anonymous Submission, and in the email that Tumblr sent to notify me was both their email and what appears to be their legal name. So don’t send anonomous submissions atm, Idk if this is a bug or a feature or how this happened, But wanted to give a warning before someone got themself doxxed or something. I sent @staff a report about it but again, just wanted to let folks know about it.

the recent surge of articles on severe ME is shattering my heart. we’re looking at a live, ongoing portfolio of the NHS’s failure to protect young ME patients, the same failures that cast a shadow over both my childhood and my current life, and it’s so wild that things aren’t changing. there’s no repair, no apology for the highly preventable suffering or the deaths, which are mostly young women.

the improper care of ME patients isn’t because of a lack of funding, it’s because of ignorance & stubbornness. the bare minimum of appropriate care to prevent a severe ME patient from getting worse is to allow them to be somewhere dark, quiet, lying down, hydrated & fed, and somehow the NHS can’t even provide that. my main shred of hope is that this is finally being reported and i wonder if that will be the catalyst for a little bit of repair. i’m desperate to believe it will be

okay so a few people showed interest in a post going further into this topic so here goes.

Hallucination: "A perception-like experience with the clarity and impact of a true perception but without the external stimulation of the relevant sensory organ." This means perceiving something to be there, real in the physical world, when there isn't actually anything in reality causing causing the perception.

these can be:

auditory (hearing things)

visual (seeing things)

olfactory (smelling things)

gustatory (tasting things)

tactile (feeling things on or under skin)

somatic (feeling things further within the body)

Illusion: "A misperception or misinterpretation of a real external stimulus." This means that there is in the real physical world, something causing the perception, but the brain is sending signals that whatever is being perceived is something else. Examples would be seeing an inanimate object as being an animal, hearing wind blowing as human voices, etc.

Both of these are things that many people will experience at least once in their lives, for various reasons. However, if it is causing impairment to functioning/making it harder to go about your life, then it is considered to be a symptom.

there are many things i could talk about for mido, but for this little piece of propogands, i'd like to talk about how much he abides by astrology. everyday, mido watches this program called oha asa where it tells you how you rank in terms of luck based on your sign, and what your "lucky item" is of the day. without fail, he will do his absolute best to obtain his lucky item for the day. money is no option. why? his luck is so atrocious otherwise. like once he almost got crushed to death because he didn't have his lucky item!! like this!!

fyi, i tend to use ofab instead of afab, with o for observed, and osab to mean observed sex at birth. my activist work involves a lot of interactions with curious tras, and i try my best to use language that fosters bridges with trans/nonbinary folks. i write things that i know would've piqued my interest in my tra days. you do not need to do the same as a radfem, but i love my tirf activism <3
