Welcome to this blog that I made into my little art dump! This blog was first meant to be an archive of sorts so I can track the progress of my art from a year ago when I just started learning how to draw (and to reblog others' art too since there's so many cool artists on here). In any case, I just wanna say thank you for checking it out, it really means a lot to me!

I am mainly a traditional artist, but I dabble into digital art from time to time when I feel more devious than usual (mainly just for coloring tho).

My art are mostly all just sketches, sketches such as cats!

So we know Isadora & Duncan Quagmire are named after the dancer Isadoda Duncan because she died tragically; but she also had a pretty unfortunate life. Let me just summarize some of her story for you:

- her father, Joseph Charles Duncan, embezzling funds, leading to

- divorce of her parents, (well, also the fact that Joseph wasn't faithful) which lead to

- the family being in poverty (side point, there were three siblings, like the three siblings in most of the VFD families)

- Joseph and his third wife (sketchy) and his daughter with said wife DYING IN A BOAT ACCIDENT WHEN IT CRASHED INTO ROCKS UNDER MYSTERIOUS CIRCUMSTANCES (???!!!!) and is considered the "greatest disaster in the history of the Atlantic Transport Line to date". Oh and here's a picture of the MASS GRAVE

Wow okay anyway

- this isn't exactly "unfortunate" but she dropped out of school at 10

- she worked with Augustin Daly's theater but didn't enjoy it due to her free-spirited nature, and was thoroughly unhappy in America

- she moved to London (which is an unfortunate event alone) and was quite successful (girl's getting a break) but she didn't like touring or contracts because of the commercialism

- therefore she opens a school in Germany to teach dance, adopts six girls (good for her ig) and calls them the "Isadorables" (WHAT) and also they're her protégés; cute but then she tries opening a school but it closes due to WORLD WAR I

- moves to the United States but she plans to leave, narrowly avoids dying at sea like her dad (ok I'm not kidding; she was going to go on the RMS Lusitania, which was TORPEDOED BY THE GERMANS AND HELPED LEAD AMERICA INTO THE WAR, this is all very ironic because she considered the sea inspiration for her dancing)

- she ended up moving to SOVIET RUSSIA which was not smart bc they didn't support her work like they promised. She had established a school so she left it to one of her daughters/protégés/Isadorables

- oh, somewhere during all this, she has three biological children to three different husbands - THE FIRST TWO PROCEEDED TO DROWN (drown???? Oh my gosh this is a pattern) because their nanny accidentally (?) drove her car into the RIVER SEINE.

-with the first two children dead, Isadora is so desperate for another that she BEGS A STRANGER to get her pregnant. This baby also DIES shortly after birth

- marries a poet, then divorces him soon after (this poet btw, Sergei Yesenin, had a bunch of affairs, got arrested a bunch of times, was accused of anti-semetism, and then committed suicide-by-hanging in a hotel room. Wild.)

- okay so at this point Isadora's going through serious depression. Her three biological children are dead and she feels like she's lost some of the Isadorables to old men, and so her performances are getting more scarce.

- her reputation is tarnished by being drunk in public, her financial struggles, and her now-scandalous love life. She spends the years working on her autobiography (which only gets published posthumously) supported by her few remaining friends and family

- here's the part you've all been waiting for: Isadora Duncan dies on September 14, 1927 at the age of 50. Her silk scarf gets caught in the wheel of the automobile she was riding in, right in front of the person who had given the scarf to her as a gift. Apparently, she was flung out out of the window and died on brutal impact with the ground, almost decapitated by the scarf.

Why is that when people are fat phobic about America they sometimes conclude its because "American food is poison and you're all on medication and etc etc type points". Like what is up with this shit and weird pseudoscience? And please dont respond to this "but american food is poison" with absolutely no nuance or science whatsoever because i will block you and will refuse to entertain it.

Like I'm sorry but American food is not "poison", or at least this generalization is just simply frustrating to me. It is true there are ingredients that are legal in the US but are not in other parts of the world, but you can't generalize that as "american food is poison" as it's more complicated than that. You can't make up claims about american food in order to be fatphobic. You can't make generalizations about american diets and nutrition without understanding the social determinants of what go into diet and accessibility of food. You can't have conversations about this without discussing socioeconomics, racism, ableism, food deserts, transportation access, healthcare, and etc. You can't just push bigoted and bullshit diet culture talking points and think you're saying something good here.

And on the science end, you can't look up how a preservative/ingredient that's in food "is also used as a paint thinner/[insert scare tactic]" without understanding food science and what makes something food grade. You can't say GMO's are evil without understanding what a GMO is and how its developed and what it actually means. You can't say "natural and organic is better! that's why american food is toxic" without really understanding food safety/what organic labels mean/etc. You can't say preservatives are evil without understanding why they're important for foods to be shelf stable and accessible, and also just the fact is they are not evil and bad.

And this is not to say there are not things that are able to be criticized about the american food system under capitalism. There is plenty to criticize. There is plenty to talk about within nutrition, access to food, farming/livestock practices, and much more. There's a lot to talk about with water runoff and the effects of american agriculture on the environment. There is so much to talk about with our food within capitalism but the thing is you dont want to talk about it. You don't actually care about improving the health and access to food and minimizing hunger and mitigating social determinants of health. You don't care, because if you did you'd be talking about these things in nuanced scientific and empathetic ways. But instead, you're just fatphobic and you really just want to make it seem like youre not by making up fake pseudoscientific and ableist points about american health in order to justify it. I'd much rather people admit that instead of scaremongering and spreading misinformation that could cause harm.

And for the recordthat's just my short point on the food topic, I haven't even gotten into the "americans are on too many meds" point which is just fucking terrible to say in itself, and ablelist. Like i for one people take meds if they want im glad people have medications that can help them. I'm glad medications exist. I hope to take my meds for the rest of time actually if it means I don't suffer from my shit 😭!! Instead of worrying about the amt of meds ppl are on as a moral failing focus on how we can make meds better more accessible and with less side effects. The end.

Big old Apex Legends worldbuilding post

So, I’ve been thinking on my headcanons for the games and how they function from a ‘makes sense narratively but is similar to its gameplay’ standpoint for the past few days, and I think I’ve managed to pull some things together. So, bare with me - long post here. Feel free to use these as well, by the way!! I’m gonna be using them for future fic, as and when it will be released >:3 Also feel free to ignore these and call me a dipshit, whatever!! It’s a free world baeby! And of course, as more info about the world is released in game, I’ll be adjusting these accordingly, but for now. Here they are.

(Sorry if these are in a rlly odd order as well, I’m on mobile and am also very stupid)

Logistics

The games are used as a blood sport for entertainment, this much we know. But I’d like to thing it’s very heavily monetised and capitalised as an annual thing, with seasons taking place about a year apart and lasting over a good few months, games occurring around 2 weeks between to allow recovery of the players.

Qualifiying Rounds

The games that we play and see with the Legends we know and love are not the first games to be played. In fact, it’s a sort of Big Brother-esque set up in which there are a handful of televised qualifying rounds first to establish the Champions that will return for the Legends games, by winning their qualifying matches and then possibly being asked to return if the viewings on those games and fan response to them are high enough. These qualifying rounds do not have respawn technology - when you die, that’s it. It’s rare for a full squad to win, and that’s why it’s so easy to pick a Legend to return.

For character headcanons relating to this, I would say that Mirage, Wraith, Caustic and Bloodhound were solo champions. Pathfinder, Octane, Lifeline and Gibraltar all survived with a teammate intact, and Bangalore managed to survive with her full squad. Wattson was let in on a special case.

Squad Selection

Squad selection is based on a combination of fan voting and specialist selection by gamerunners. Legends may input and say who they may like to be paired with, but it is mostly out of their hands. Squads remain as such for the entire season, unless there are major complications.

Revival & Respawn

This one is a small one, but the needles used to revive your teammates contain an adrenaline-stimulating agent that acts very quickly and exits the body just as quick as to not cause harm, possibly by dissolving into the blood or through sweat. However, these needles are limited and are placed on a small belt that a Legend must carry on their person, similar to their banners.

The death boxes are not canon, as we’ve seen from the cinematic trailer, and instead banners are held on the inside of the arm. Upon death, competitors are reconstructed according to the data on their banner with aches and pains but no damages, and are to wait on the dropship circling the arena for their teammates below to place the banner into a beacon. From there, the dropship will fly to the beacon location and drop the corresponding competitors down. Beacons are shut down after one use, and two banners can be pinged in a beacon at once. While in the dropship, ‘dead’ players may communicate to their teammates below, but cannot see anything above a bird’s eye view.

Fandom

I really like the headcanons in this post, in which the Legends are considered celebrities and are regularly asked for interviews and treated as we see celebrities in the real world - paparazzi, invasive questions and all. Each Legend would have their own army of fans, and fans often have blogs dedicated to talking about the games (much like our own here on tumblr dot hell). If you don’t tag spoilers three anons will come and snipe you. There are a Lot of uncomfortable thirst posts. Almost everyone has seen at least one. There for sure has been one of those tumblr answer-esque things before.l

Outside of the Games

While the arena of King’s Canyon is used for the games, because of the annual nature of the competition - qualifiers and all, which do cost a lot of money - there is an extension externally for tourism, including a small shopping complex for merchandising (complete with a food court) and housing for those associated with the games, including gamerunners, arena engineers and workers, and of course, the competing Legends, with separate and permenant facilities for the champion legends away from those using temporary residence for the qualifying rounds for a few months each year.

Etiquette for the Legends outside of the games is to remain strictly professional with their co-workers/teammates/rivals, but who listens to a bunch of uptights in dusty suits, right?

Before I start, let me be clear here:

JK said "I love you" to Tae twice (consecutively) in the Tokopedia interview. The sky is falling down. Wait a second here. No it in actual **** isn't.

Where do I start here? With JK professing his love to Tae or with an interview recorded around 4 months ago (the Butter era - Tae with poodle hair - no offence)?

I will start with the interview then.

Yes, omg, JK actually said the words "I love you, I love you" to Tae, who was first to try and hit the balloon with the dart and succeeded. He earned 4 points. Was it to congratulate or placate him I don't know, but it sure in hell wasn't a profession of love.

If the man I loved would profess his love to me that way, he would find himself sleeping on the lawn outside (we don't have a doghouse, lol).

Yeah, thumbs up, "I love you" - sound real loving.

Since that interview, close to 4 months ago approx., many waters have flowed in the river, waters that showed us exactly how JK & JM are doing just fine.

These are my opinions of course, and everyone is free to think as they will, but once again, I think people need to take a step back, look at the big picture, stop judging every single action or word that come out of these boys mouths.

JK doesn't have to profess his love for JM in front of us. What JK feels about JM, believe me JM knows. How many times do we have to say that JM would not have stuck around if his emotional needs weren't met by JK? JM has said in the past how important it is to him to hear "I love you", so I can only assume that he hears it on a regular basis from the person he is romantically involved with.

Oh, and btw, this claim JK has NEVER said "I love you" to JM is growing real old.

JK has said "I love you" to JM, for us to hear, and he has done so more than once. He said it to JM during the eat Jin Vlive (at JM's request, but he said it); He said it to JM during the Paris concert (it was talked down as a mistake in translation, but hell no, he said it out loud in front of thousands of fans); He said it to JM during JM's Vlive when he took the phone from Jin (JK's voice & JM's happy flustered reaction said it all); He told him he loved him in sign language on the red carpet in front of all of the media; He said it following JM saying how important it is for him to hear those words, and seconds after JK himself saying he never initiates it, but then turning around and saying "I love you" to JM; And there is RB too, the "I love you"'s, the whispering in JM's ear and what followed.

JK also told JM he wanted him, he told him he will always be no. 1 to him, he flirts with him constantly, looks at him like he's the most precious thing he has ever seen, is willing to give up Marvel for Harry Potter just to be with JM, etc. etc.

Just to wrap this up in a little bow anon, I will make this as clear as I can:

All the members love each other. They love each other as friends. They have said so to each other. Suga told both JK & Tae he loved them. Suga told JM he loved him. Jin said it to Suga. Jin said it to JK and he said it back. BV1 recorded message from everyone, including JK saying "I love you" to Tae. JM said it to JK. JM said it to Hobi. JM said it to Suga. RM said it to Jin. And I can go on and on and on here. They love each other, they say it to each other.

I think it's ok for them to do what the hell they want to. They are free to tell the other members they love them, they have been doing so over the years, and low and behold, it doesn't seem to bother either of them. And why would that be? Because they are secure in their love for each other. They, unlike many fans, understand the complexity of life, friendship and being in love with someone. They are not threatened by their partner saying "I love you" to their other friends, because they know that when it's said to them (in private, when it matters) it's a different "I love you", one saved for a lover, not a friend.

I find it really intriguing how the ATLA writers could have gone a “brotherly love” route with Zuko and Aang, but they never did. Even in LOK, the only thing that I remember Iroh saying about their relationship was that they canonically became the best of friends and that Zuko knew Aang better than anyone, even more than Katara and their children. I find the direction of their relationship a contrast to how often the bond between the male protagonist and the male antagonist that are spiritually linked in other media is reduced to “they were like brothers” and put aside for the respective heterosexual romances of the leads, even though the relationships between the leads often have homoerotic subtext and can be interpreted through a queer lens. I guess what I’m wondering is: would you classify Zuko and Aang’s relationship as brotherly? Do you support interpretations where their relationship is viewed as brotherly? And finally (I’m sorry for all of the questions): why do you think the ATLA writers - who seem to mostly be composed of cishet men - never took the “brotherly love” route and left the nature of their relationship ambiguous?

This ask has been in my inbox for a Hot Minute 💀 my apologies, my friend. And since I haven’t seen LOK, I won’t try to speak on the front. Before I continue, though, @likealittleheartbeat has an AMAZING analysis here about the interpretation of Aang and Zuko’s relationship through a queer-platonic lens that I found to be an incredible read and arguably could answer this ask on its own, lol!

I guess the general “issue” that must be addressed to answer these questions is simply how we define brotherly. That “we” can be divided into the viewers and the writers, only adding another layer of complexity. Because the reality is that we can’t jump into the creators minds and see exactly how they intended Zuko and Aang’s relationship to be interpreted. We can make deductions, e.g. the existence of Kataang and Maiko suggests Zuko and Aang were not intended to have a romantic relationship within canon (duh, lol). In fact, you could even add another division to the “we” - the writers, the viewers, and the characters themselves (i.e. interpretation through the cultural lenses that inspired the show).

All of this is to say that there is not going to be one agreed-upon definition of “brotherly,” lol! Since you seem to be asking for my personal opinions, I’ll go with my personal definition. If anyone has differing thoughts in response to these questions, please feel free to add them in a comment or rb! I think there’s a lot to explore here and my sole opinion is Not the be-all and end-all, lmao.

So, what is my personal definition of “brotherly”? I’m not going to try to make a formal definition, lol, but the gist of my interpretation is a platonic relationship akin to that of siblings. To me, there is a difference between having a “brotherly relationship” with someone versus a “friendship” (I almost used “friendly relationship” but that didn’t feel right jskdfhakdls). I think these two can overlap and/or be the same, but - for example - I have friends who I would say without hesitation that I am incredibly close with, but I also would not classify that friendship as “sisterly.” (Again, these are strictly my personal thoughts, and I encourage further discussion in comments/rbs!)

I’ll take your questions one at a time:

Would you classify Zuko and Aang’s relationship as brotherly?

Personally? Probably not. To me, there is a sense of superficiality associated with the term “brotherly” that in my eyes can be reductive to platonic relationships between men (can be, not always lol). I think with Zuko and Aang, the relationship just runs much deeper than “brotherly” can connote. For one, they are the primary narrative foils of the show! The only relationship that comes close to theirs in terms of narrative significance is Kataang (which is a very different dichotomy, btw, I’m not trying to compare them lol). We have numerous episodes dedicated to the parallels between Aang and Zuko, including but not limited to “The Storm” and “The Avatar and the Fire Lord.” I mean, this is an actual quote from the latter episode:

Do you really think friendships can last more than one lifetime?

We see variants of this line and the notion of friendship itself associated throughout that episode explicitly with Roku and Sozin, Roku and Gyatso, and of course the Gaang at the end, but implicitly we also know it’s about Aang and Zuko, too. Aang says, “Everyone, even the Fire Lord and the Fire Nation, have to be treated like they’re worth giving a chance.” One common take with this line that I’ve seen is interpreting it as foreshadowing for Aang’s decision to spare Ozai - which obviously is a fair assessment - but we cannot also ignore how much it applies to Zuko joining the Gaang. Specifically, Zuko reconciling with Aang.

We all know Aang was the first person to extend friendship to Zuko back in “The Blue Spirit” and tbh, after he saw Appa licking Zuko, you can tell Aang was nearly willing to extend a second chance to Zuko then and there lol. Aang and Zuko’s friendship, them being drawn together, is a relationship that transcends lifetimes, transcends social norms/expectations, transcends a loss greater than anyone can imagine (for Aang) and offers a new opportunity arguably far more than deserved (for Zuko). I think ascribing a qualifier of “brotherly” to their relationship therefore limits this transcendence because of how much their dynamic encompasses.

Do you support interpretations where their relationship is viewed as brotherly?

Of course! One of the reasons I love A:TLA - especially my small corner of the fandom - is how many interpretations that every relationship presents, be it a small “difference” (such as calling Zuko and Aang’s relationship “brotherly”) or a more drastic one (exploring fanon possibilities with rarepairs, let’s go #AangRarepairWeek 😎). So even if this interpretation isn’t one I’m inclined to in the literal sense (i.e. it’s the “brotherly” qualifier I feel I dislike, because I do love platonic Zukaang as much as romantic Zukaang), I absolutely encourage others to make the most of their fandom experience and product/support content that they enjoy!

I will say that we don’t really have any way of knowing the sexualities and gender identities of every single A:TLA writer, lol. I’m not saying they were all queer in some way, of course, but I just want to establish that we don’t and can’t know unless told. If that makes sense 😂

As I mentioned earlier, I have no way of getting inside the writers’ minds to determine their intentions when they were writing Zuko and Aang’s relationship, so all you’re gonna get here are my best guesses lmao! For one, there wasn’t really a need to outright label Zuko and Aang as having a “brotherly” relationship. The existence of Kataang and Maiko again speak for themselves. Most viewers - especially casual watchers - don’t need the show to state “these two only love each other in a brotherly way” to conclude that the relationship was platonic (or rather, was not romantic), especially considering that the show was made in the mid-2000s (i.e. sad but true, most people weren’t watching A:TLA with a queer lens 😔). So I wouldn’t say they left the relationship “ambiguous” so much as there wasn’t need to qualify it further than simply being platonic.

Of course, I do think there is an ambiguity that comes with Aang and Zuko’s relationship, which I love to exploit in my Zukaang fics 😌. Was that ambiguity intentional? Again, I’m inclined to say no. But I can’t speak with certainty and - as I discussed earlier - I truly think Aang and Zuko’s relationship would be limited by being called “brotherly” when their connection runs so deeply and is intertwined so heavily with the spiritual themes of the show. Thus, it’s possible the writers were purposefully emphasizing that spirituality by not labelling them as “brotherly”! But as I said, there’s really no way to be sure.

At the end of the day, I don’t think it matters how someone chooses to label Aang and Zuko’s relationship. I mean, I’m always a little horrified when a person completely overlooks their narrative significance as foils (because I personally can’t imagine dismissing either of their importance to the other), but hey, to each their own. Brotherly, queerplatonic, romantic, and hell, anything in-between - these interpretations are anyone’s for the taking. Have fun with it! 💛

What PCOS types/symptoms would come under intersex? (I have PCOS myself, but it's kind of mild in my case and I'm still learning about it).

Signs of hyperandrogenism, generally (think “”male”” secondary sex characterics). But keep in mind that alone isn’t really what intersexuality is - at least, calling intersexuality that alone would be doing a great injustice to intersexuality as an identity. And that you can have traits that sometimes fall under intersex, that alone doesn’t determine intersexuality - humans are varied, and variation in features and experiences exists in dyadic people too.

Like, I’m AFAB and have high androgen levels. Not sure why, not sure how, because my PCOS diagnosis is bogus. And these high levels may be the cause of my intersex features, but the reason I identify as intersex is like...

When I hit puberty (at around 9 years old, mind you), it was like my body was going down two paths at once. And people treated me like a freak. All these issues I was having because I went through so many changes that “weren’t supposed to happen” to me, people blamed me for them while shoving education about “”female””  puberty down my throat. I had no clue what was going on, and clearly no one else around me knew either

I was gendered as a girl, but people would remark on my “”masculine”” features, shame them, laugh at them, insult them, or try to manipulate me into changing them. Because girls aren’t supposed to look like boys. I could go on about how people othered me and how I felt so misplaced but didn’t know why.

This is all to say, intersex identity is very informed by your experiences and your feelings about yourself. Intersexuality isn’t just about the features we have, but the fact we’re culturally and politically marked. We’re othered, and this comes out in a lot of ways.

Intersex identity is ultimately a reclamation of this othering - a word that says “I know I’m not like you, and I’m still human and valid. You’re not allowed to mistreat me because I’m different.” 

I know this isn’t exactly what you asked (and very lengthy), but when people ask what “symptoms” are intersex, it’s like... Valid question i guess, but if I were to simply reply to this with “body hair, facial hair, muscular body, deep voice, etc.” not only would I be offering an incomplete and emotionally desolate picture of hyperandrogen intersex experience that will lead to misconceptions about intersexuality, but I’d also be defining things like my oppressors and ultimately reinforcing the patriarchal racist standards it’s all ultimately based on.

okay so tamsyn muir is currently well-known as the author of the locked tomb trilogy (aka gideon the ninth and harrow the ninth), but for a certain section of tumblr shes also well known as urbanAnchorite, and used to be a big name fan on here up until around 2014 - pretty close to everything here is going to be from roughly 2011 through 2014, except for an interview im gonna get into, so 7-10 years ago. i was only vaguely aware of her until after i got into the locked tomb and saw people talking about this. with that in mind:

so the MAJORITY of the discourse revolves around a single fic she wrote on AO3. her account has 19 works in homestuck, and some of them are Kinda Weird to Pretty Bad in retrospect, but being completely honest this is the only one that isnt completely stock standard for homestuck fandom in that time period. like if we started casting stones about ten year old fandom stuff we'd be here all day

here is the fic (warning for CSA)

in most of the posts about it ive seen, theyve described it as a "rapefic," but actually reading it, it's a lot more nuanced than that description implies. its a dark story where a grown man abuses a girl, from the man's perspective, and the story ends with him being killed by her friend. the description of the assault is treated very seriously by the story and barely even touches on any actual sex, before immediately cutting to him being killed. its lolita if humbert got shot to death; the title itself comes FROM lolita

(sidenote - it was inspired by a prompt on kinkmeme, but that doesn't really mean anything vis a vis being intended for sexual enjoyment, and according to the note actually went against the spirit of the request)

ive seen fics, lots and lots of fics, that would qualify as the term "rapefic." it tends to be pretty fucking obvious when someone is using sexual assault as a fetish, and this is Not That

tamsyn herself actually responded to this in an excellent interview early last year. she gets into some Fandom Mom type language, but essentially says what i said above. in it, she also says this:

It’s not the first time I’ve been accused of being a paedophile. I grew up gay in the nineties. Homosexuality and paedophilia were enmeshed in society’s minds. When I came out, I got told that I shouldn’t be around children. I was used to that because it was common discourse, and it hurt like all hell, but it didn’t shock me. When I got called a paedophile by Twitter I got clotheslined. My support network had to get in pronto. I was very ready to have a hot date with a length of rope, a date I have arranged and cancelled multiple times over my life. I have had lots and lots of therapy over the years for various conditions, some of them lifelong and some not, but when that Twitter call-out happened it was hard to want to live. I thought I knew so intimately what I was doing with my fiction; my therapist was always so supportive of me writing about it. I have not been open about being a CSA survivor because, again, I grew up in the ‘90s. ‘Lesbian’ and ‘CSA survivor’ is just carte blanche so a whole queue of people can tell you, I HOPE ONE DAY, WITH LOVE AND SUPPORT, YOU CAN BE STRAIGHT. It was like, right this way to the invalidation booth. I didn’t even tell most of my girlfriends! I told one! It’s not a topic of discussion between me and my family; I am relying on them not reading my interviews so it can remain where it belongs: thoroughly undiscussed!

with this context it becomes... a lot more nuanced of a topic. an author who experienced CSA in addition to growing up in a cultural climate where gay people were pedophiles by default, especially growing up catholic in a rural community, wrote a work about childhood sexual assault (which also happened to be fanfiction) as a way of working through it for herself, which is... something a lot of artists do with their art? and in return she got a massive blowback on twitter accusing her of pedophilia and demanding she talk about a massively traumatic moment in her life

this is the major sticking point of the discourse, im not gonna get into anything else on this post, but this is my view of it. if you disagree or have anything to add then feel free to add on. again, i know what it looks like, but im not trying to uncritically defend a stranger just cause i like her book. this is the conclusion i came to after doing a lot of digging for myself
