Laios: plays lots of Monster Hunter. loves Spore but he doesnt often play past the tribal stage. likes Pokemon but he's more focused on catching the pokemon than following the story. played WolfQuest and DragonFable back in the day. enjoyed the concept of Bugsnax but wasn't interested in dealing with the NPCs

Marcille: mainly Dwarf Fortress, RTS games, some colony sims. but also sometimes The Sims, and dollmaker dress-up games. i could see her also enjoying Rollercoaster Tycoon and making elaborately-themed parks. might also occasionally indulge in some visual novels if she's in the mood for narrative she has Stardew Valley so she can have something to play co-op with falin, but its not a game she plays a lot of otherwise. when playing with falin, marcille micromanages the farm to maximize productivity, and does the decorations

Chilchuck: puzzle games and hidden object/escape room games as a video game-equivalent to finding/dismantling traps and lockpicking. i think he'd also enjoy Bejeweled.

Senshi: mainly Wii games and Cooking Mama. occasionally plays Snake on his 15-year-old nokia phone. i dont think he would enjoy games like Overcooked or restaurant manager games, because he likes to take his time making food, not stressing about customer service

Falin: some *Legend of Zelda games – she likes the exploration aspect in Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom, maybe also some of the toon zelda games like Minish Cap or Wind Waker she also plays Pokemon (*Pokemon Go when she's traveling), and i think she would enjoy some indie games, like Penko Park or Chicory: A Colorful Tale. plays Stardew Valley co-op with marcille – falin mainly takes care of the animals, mining, and picking the crops. occasionally makes improvement suggestions that marcille didnt think of

Izutsumi: i could see her enjoying games with parkour mechanics, like *Assassin's Creed, or Mirror's Edge. or maybe something simple but requiring cat-like swipes, like Fruit Ninja. despite her impatience, i think she could also enjoy action games with interesting longer narratives, as evidenced by [this omake] (relevant portion pictured below), so maybe *Final Fantasy 7 – my friend who's familiar with the game said "she’d find Cloud and Vincent relatable"

Namari: her interest in fighting and weapons could translate to brawler/fighting games and action games with a focus on weapon stats – so maybe *Street Fighter, *God of War, and/or *Dark Souls. might play *Monster Hunter with laios but for the weapons. i could also see her occasionally enjoying truck simulators

Toshiro (Shuro): has the perseverance for soulslikes and other high-difficulty action and/or metroidvania games, but would take his time overthinking item/weapon synergies sometimes. given [his fondness for bugs], i could also see him enjoying Hollow Knight

Tade: would enjoy the cute aesthetics and lighthearted gameplay of Animal Crossing and Katamari. would also like idol anime rhythm games

Kiki: i think she would enjoy horror games such as Resident Evil, but would play it while super chill. i dont have much reasoning for this aside from vibes

In the modern AU, I see Itachi going through the same kind of things he does in canon, but on a lesser scale. His dynamic with his family and Shisui would be more or less the same.

Itachi is the Android person. He doesn't like showing off and is content with the simpler things in life. He is vegetarian. Shisui doesn't mind eggs and some seafood.

I mostly approached your typing question by question. towards the end I make my final judgement, but I tried to collect as much inference and deduction from your answers as I could before I made a typing.

viewing beauty as subjective is definitely high introverted function. it could be interpreted as high fi, especially with the "judgement" aspect of both the question as answer, but I didn't want to make assumptions too early. what I looked more for was where your subjectivity was coming from. you acknowledged the fact that different observers hold different perceptions of beauty - which is very much fi. even later in the question, you seem to assert your own fi judgement - which seems to me to be very healthy. the combination of acknowledging subjectivity but also having your own values/judgement.

something I found very interesting was your use of the word "convenient" towards how you describe you can "switch" your love for something depending on how much you care about it. when I read it, it seemed as if you didn't really feel it objectively, as a fe user would. applying a sense of love with no requisites. instead, it was something very personal, very subjective to the situation (fi).

for your personal values - I don't type on what the value is, but rather how you experience it. I also don't believe that just because it doesn't come immediately to you doesn't mean that you're not a fi user (because values are not usually consciously thought about).

if I did type based on your values I infer that you hold a sense of duty towards the things you do, which may/may not be fi.

Reviewing the Chrom Supports because I need something to do while waiting for the Brave banner to drop.

no.1: Robin. My favorite. Both a reference to my favorite fe lord cannon romance (Sigurd and Deirdre) and even my second favorite one (Ike and Soren). The people who don't pair Chrom up with Robin astound me, the game gives you a man, tells you can break his heart ruin him, and you simply chose not to? Couldn't be me. I like what it does for Awakening's story, and I like how it makes Lucina suffer. Girl goes back in time to save her parents and the world and she finds out it's impossible to do both. Chef's kiss. Immaculate, their bond being central to the story and themes of Awakening makes it my favorite.

no.2: Maribelle. A sleeper hit for my second favorite Chrom pairing. If I ever to a play through of awakening where I play as male Robin, I'd pair Chrom up with Maribelle. I'm a sucker for childhood friends, and Maribelle having political ambitions (wanting to reform the judicial system) makes her a really interesting queen of Ylisse. Also Brady has the funniest version of the Chrom recruitment dialogue, "Is that how you speak to Ylissean royalty?" "I am Ylissean royalty!" Lives in my head rent free.

no.3: Olivia. Honestly Olivia and Chrom don't have to many actual interactions outside of their (not great) C-A support. But, while I don't have many feelings about Chrom and Olivia as a couple I do have strong feelings about Lucina and Inigo as siblings. I love them as siblings. They're so, so, funny. And Chrom!Inigo in fates, sitting on the floor of Xander's study having a crisis trying to figure out how he can see through his eye is something I have thought about. The only down side of them as siblings is that it means Owain is his cousin meaning Soleil and Ophelia are related and I think they should be girlfriends instead of second cousins.

no.4: Sully. They're both knights. Strong fighters. That's about all I feel about that. I honestly forget that they support. The recruitment Dialogue for Kjelle isn't even very different. She doesn't even say he's her father.

no.5: Sumia. The only one I actively dislike, my least favorite for a few reasons. First it's her only ending where she doesn't "Trade her lance for a stretch of pasture to raise a happy group of pegasi." Pairing her up with Chrom takes her out of her natural habitat, and I will call the cops for pegasus knight abuse. She deserves to settle down on a farm and live a peaceful quiet life. It's what she deserves. Second, I refuse to believe that Cynthia would mistake generic bandit 97 for her father. She recognised her mother's ring while both of them were mounted on their pegasi but she mistakes some guy, who doesn't have blue hair, falchion or a brand for her father! Although my distaste mostly come from the "She would be actively miserable as queen and should settle down to raise pegasi."

Additionally, there may be customers who are interested in buying the product simply because it’s original.

In this way, we can increase the number of people who buy our products even if they aren’t interested in Eden.

If our product is unable to satisfy those people alongside our fans, then having planned and developed these ourselves would have been meaningless.

Do you think you have a type of character you gravitate towards? most common ones are probably the Sad Sack Sages ( hi etzel, sety ), fiery boys with hearts of gold ( felix, leif ), and dark paladins ( nel, felix ). i also really like chaotic neutral trickster types, but aren't usually confident enough in my ability to write for them haha

What do you believe you enjoy writing the most? action scenes for sure. any scene where there's external momentum driving things forward and giving a sense of momentum and urgency. also just anything that lets me worldbuild or exploring facets of worldbuilding hehe

Favorite TOA-related memory: that's a hard one. probably the final week of arcadia, our first lore event. all the teams ended up in boss battles, but they weren't the guaranteed staple of lore event endings like they are now. it just kind of happened because that's where the stories ended up. the collaborative scene-building and sense of camaraderie in the fights against gricenchos and gofannon are still unmatched for me to this day. they felt like dynamic scenes right out of a lord of the rings movie

FebruarOC - Fe + Finn

a TWO FOR ONE DEAL!! They're from the same project and, somehow, have the same initials. They're not related at all. Felicia "Fe" Monahan and Finn Meadows! (The third of their trio will appear later this month)

To start, Washer at the Ford was the project name I had for what I wanted to become a bunch of kind of supernatural murder mysteries, but also it was the story of a girl who (somehow??) came into the possession of the soul of Jack, man who fooled the devil many times and then: got real drunk and died by drowning in a bog and then had to wander through purgatory holding a burning coal. And the Devil went "hey wait a second that soul is mine by rights" and wants it back. Looking at the scant notes I had for it and what I remember of the plotting, oh I could make it so much better now. But it is what it is and it's a low priority project to get back to. 

Fe is the daughter of the local witch, who used to do spirit work before her husband died. Fe herself can see/talk with spirits and ghosts. I unfortunately don't remember how her dad died, but it was a real bad accident and probably had to do with spirits. But her mom shut down everything regarding that after the accident and resorted mostly to doing apothecary and just general plant focused stuff. 

Fe dropped out of school after the accident when she was 13 in part due to ruthless bullying started by another student and also wanting to be with her mom. The other student started calling her "Ghost Girl" and while she's like "yeah I am" he said it in a way that was clearly out to make her something beneath all the other students and this coming at the same time as her mom leaving the spirit business and her father's death, it was just a little too much for a pre-teen to handle! So she left and never went back!! 

She's been trying to get her mom to deal with the grief and in so doing get back to her old practices, but Shelley is having None Of That. Especially now that a murder has happened in the small town, and the fiancée of the victim is saying that she saw a spirit washing his clothes in the river before he disappeared -- well, bean sidhes aren't native to Tennessee, so that's weird, huh?? Shelley does not find it weird and that girl should go to the police. And Fe is just "hm don't think they'll be able to help.... mayhaps.... I'll investigate on my own". 

Finn is probably a Northern Boy, who recently graduated from college and has moved down to live with his uncle and help at his church before he goes to seminary. I have in his character notes that he's got a "closely guarded secret" that was mostly just, he was in love with someone he shouldn't have been, and it got messy. But you know, it would be fun to do some Intense Southern Preacher vibes with his uncle that he gets wrapped up in -- especially since Fe doesn't like his uncle and i do really want to lean into the southern gothic vibes. 

When I originally started plotting for the story, he didn't have much of a personality at all. He was just tall (totally a personality trait) and serious especially when compared to Fe and Othello, but when I actually started writing it (hello 2012 nano) he immediately got a very charming if not a little self deprecating sense of humor and clicked well with Fe off the bat. She gets a huge crush on him from the jump, but he treats her politely and strictly as a friend. Which is fine, she realizes that he's just nice to her and she confused that with romantic feelings because she's not had enough genuinely nice friends in her life. So once they get that figured out, they're besties. 

It should also be noted that Finn has, what the Devil calls, a soul that is sweet and delicious to spirits. He is actually just a really good and nice guy and admittedly his previous love life wasn't too much sin to spoil the taste.

I sure did read a few wiki pages to see what patron saint Finn would have on his token and the answer is Thomas Becket who is patron saint of diocesan priests but it doesn't come up at all because why would it.

At his words, Claire’s expression changed drastically. Once he let go of her wrists, she pulled them back to her side with a gasp of annoyance.  “If you are dead alive, speak for yourself. But let the breathing beings honor the dead ones by living life to the fullest”, she let out kissing the side of her index finger and pointing to the sky briefly in respect when she mentioned the dead. She pushed the walkman right into his chest, earbud falling off of her as well as she walked to the bed. “And your nickname should be ‘asshole’. That’s one you’d understand better”. She said, still not letting him know what ‘guapo’ meant because the last thing he needed was for his ego to be boosted. “You have a horrible name”, she continued, grabbing both of the pillows and throwing them onto the ground so she could use them as a mattress down there. She lay down, moving her skirt slightly up to her knees for better comfort. Even if she could almost feel the floor against her small frame, it wouldn’t have been the first time she had to sleep like that. Claire turned to the side, giving her back at him, shoulder reaching her ear in a tense motion as she clenched her teeth hard not to let any emotion related to her mother betray her. He had put down what remained of her culture, what remained of the memories she had had with her. And most important, he had the name of the doctor who had been responsible for her death. Even if this was a stupid boy in borderland, that’s the last name on Earth she wanted to hear, especially when she was unable to seek revenge on this face-less man. “If you want a pillow, go make yourself one with the Ricky Martin casette, cabrón”/fucker/

By the next morning, she was quick to open the door. The people assigned to be watchful of them weren’t there and instead, she was welcomed to a new day by Niragi’s face. 

“Slept well, little bird?”. 

“The best night of my life”, she replied, annoyed from head to toe and clearly not in the mood to hear any nonsense. 

“Really? I doubt that coming from him”. 

Claire chuckled. So the fucker wanted to play? Great. Let’s play. “Oh, trust me, he can be quite the gentleman”, she chew those words, looking over her shoulder back to Chishiya inside the bedroom. 

“Gentlemen are boring”, Niragi stated, cornering her against one side of the door frame and the woman looked to the side, rolling her eyes. 

“Am I free to leave now? Apparently I had to talk to some Hattter”. 

Niragi clicked his tongue, breathing too much air in on purpose so he could let out a loud exhalation. He pressed his palm flat on the wall next to Claire’s face, trapping her even more. “Not until you please me as well”. 

Claire forced another chuckle. She was really trying to look for an excuse not to take the handle of the infamous knife dancing in his belt and sink the blade into his stomach even if that meant she’d die by a bullet. “Pleasure is art, is aesthetically pleasing and demands a wise hand to be built and cared for. What you’re looking for is not pleasure. It’s trash. Trash in and trash out that you can simply throw into a garbage container with those nasty fingers of yours”: 

Niragi then turned his head to the side, laughing intensely before abruptly turning back to her and grabbing her by the chin harshly, fingers spread on her cheeks painfully, forcing her to open her mouth. “Which nasty fingers, bitch? These ones?” 

“Niragi!”, the voice of a man coming along the corridor caught his attention. “Let her go.” It wasn’t neccessary to add ‘now’ because Aguni’s presence was enough for him to release her. 

The tall man with animal print shirt moved to stand by the older man’s side, almost mimicking a stupid pose of superheroes. “She’s causing trouble. She’s always causing trouble”, he explained himself. 

Aguni eyed Claire up and down as she crossed her arms once more, and composed herself with her back against the wall. His serious face grew slightly gentler, seemingly curious of her exotic features. “Hatter is waiting for you”, he told her. 

“I was about to escort her”, Niragi intervened, mouth chewing an invisible gum. 

“I’ll take care of that. Join the rest. Apparently they’ve got new weapons”, the older man ordered not looking at him, his attention entirely stolen by Claire. Unenthusiastic, Niragi left, whistling on his steps out. 

“Are you okay?”, an atypical question coming from him but Claire didn’t know that. Finally someone who could handle that monkey. 

“I could be better”, she let out, realizing she still had a knot on Chishiya’s shirt and hurrying to get rid of it so it covered her more. “I’m supposed to talk to this Hatter man”. 

Aguni remained silent for a few seconds before tilting his head into the opposite direction. “This way”. 

Claire sighed. She was about to look into the room for Chishiya, to see if she could trust this new man but she decided not to in the last second. “Que te den por culo” /get fucked/, she whispered hoping she could follow her intuition and walking away behind Aguni, 

Kuina appeared in the scene moments later, hoping she’d see Chishiya now that the military had gone. But once she had him before her, her eyes show nothing more than surprise. “Damn, you look like you’ve been through a war field. Is she that tough?”.

32. What direction you wish this series would take? If no one's asked you this one yet. And it's okay if you've moved on to other stuff, but what would you *like* to see in a new FE game? And no need to be realistic. ;D

And I appreciate the caveat that it doesn't have to be realistic. I fully acknowledge that the game series isn't made for me. I'm a very mediocre gamer and I'm objectively just...like, straight up NOT good at the game. I never have been. I don't play any other strategy games.

So while they've been really innovative in the last couple of generations when it comes to stuff like...you know...abilities and all that, I simply do not care. I liked Phoenix Mode or whatever it was called from FE14/Fates and if that carried through in all games I'd love it. I don't care about the battles. I just want the story stuff.

Actually, I wouldn't even be opposed to a "story" mode of the game.

Related, I liked how in FE7, in the "intro" chapters, people don't generally die, but rather, get injured in (fairly?) unique specified ways. I think I remember Kent's leg being the issue chosen for him. Yeah, it doesn't change the whole story or anything, but it was a neat little thing that let the characters not die while still also taking them out of the battle. And in that sense, it was really cool, just like...flavor text. If a fanfic writer inserted that detail into their story for whatever reason, even if it was just that Kent's leg was bothering him again, it would kind of give that hint at what happened earlier without actually having to come out and say it. I liked details like that, especially because they felt like they were used sparingly and most importantly, used well.

Also, the earlier games did a lot of stuff like special dialogue if you had certain units on the field for a particular chapter (for example, Kent and Sain both having dialogue if you put them out in the chapter you fight against Darin because they both feel it's their duty and obligation to, you know, personally end his life for what he did to Caelin).

I'm fully aware the newer games do some of this as well, but it feels less like a special little thing that happens every now and then and more of a tryhard thing?

It's hard to explain, and I realize i'm probably just being a bitch here, but the new games do this thing where it reaaaally feels like they're trying WAY too hard in EVERY area, and it has this effect, at least for me personally, of stretching everything in the game thin. Now the combat is really complex and confusing as shit. Now the characters have too many supports and half of them are honestly just the sound of clowns juggling whoopie cushions. Characters can reclass whether it makes any real fucking sense or not (I REALLY HATE THIS ONE ACTUALLY, IT TAKES AWAY FAR TOO MUCH CHARACTER IDENTITY AND YALL KNOW THAT'S MY THING). Now the story's really complex too but not always because the writers made it complex so much as the writers don't know how to write cohesive complex stories (laughcrying at Fates forever ngl).

I'm not just shitting on modern FE games, for what that's worth. I think they've made some good changes over the years. Byleth was about a thousand steps up from Corncob...i Mean coRRIN. At least she felt like she could theoretically be an actual person in the world.

But I still don't like avatar characters. I hate that they were so successful we'll never be free of them. I just can't. I tried to cope but all I can do is seethe. (I mean, I don't actually have the energy required to seethe but it sounded funny so I said it.)

All of this to say that if I could have my way IntSys would go broke because most of the things that made the game series wildly successful are things I'd remove or change. Feelsbadman. But I'm not too bummed out about it because in recent years I have come to understand that some things are just straight-up NOT MEANT FOR ME. Like I can seethe about my hallmark show going into the shitter but I also have to like, pull myself back and go "YOU ARE NOT THE TARGET AUDIENCE YOU DUMBASS" and I know I'm right so I simply disconnected from it. Sorta. Mostly.

Fire Emblem is much the same way. They really market the games as like this weird hybrid dating sim + self insert-ish avatar + really good strategy rpg game...and people eat it up. I have to recognize I'm just not the target audience anymore. (And I never really was, because I never cared about the literal main point of the games, which was, u know, strategy. LOL.)

So my ideal FE game would limit supports and make every one meaningful in some way, limit "marriage options" to characters that actually make some sense and have meaningful development, do away with an avatar character and just use an actual character instead (this is how I felt they should have really treated Byleth / I think Innes is basically the strategy character in FE8 and it worked fine), and try to incorporate little tidbits of info in the game in easy to get places. Also, no DLC. Literally none. Zip. Zilch. Perish.

I'd be okay with a more complex plot if the rest of the game followed those rules, probably because I'd be invested in the characters enough to really be invested in puzzling out the plot, versus getting dragged along by it.

When you're LOVED by your family and community and you LOVE your family and community, when your family and community permit you to grown, develop and fulfill your potential and you do the same in return, when you can sit down and not be afraid to walk the streets of your community, not be afraid to speak and say hello to people on the streets in your community, when you can have a decent conversation without feeling that you have to manipulate someone or someone manipulates you, there's found a BEAUTY and EUPHORIA! There's a tendency to SMILE, to be HAPPY, FREE, HONEST and OPEN!

This is what LOVE does when it truthfully operates within a community. LOVE takes you beyond yourself—transcending you. You glow and people pick up your glow, so your LOVE becomes infectious and people reflect it back on you as you reflect it on them. Therefore, you feel good and it feels wonderful to dance, sing, play, joke and even to be a little "silly" at times with people who you LOVE. LOVE just makes you glow with HEALTH and HAPPINESS and it is a beautiful kind of experience that makes you naturally want to stay with your people, naturally want to be around your community and naturally want to be a part of its movement forward.
