I apologise for my bad writing and explaining I just wanted to get my point across.

I'm not a fan of being serious but I keep seeing people talk about stuff about the TSP fandom that's just kind of making me really sad to see.

Can people stop shitting on artists for how they draw or characterise any TSP characters, specifically Narrator. So what if the desgins are different compared to others, unless the artist isn't hurting others or themselves by drawing a character the way they draw them then people should just mind their business.

Artists are drawing a character with no physical appearance, he can literally look like anything. And also so what if people write/draw him out of character, it shouldn't matter because people are having fun and enjoying themselves and expressing themselves via these characters. Sticking so closely to the source material would destroy any originality to the desgins, everyone having their own idea of the narrators is what makes it and the fandom so fun!

You're allowed to have an opinion on how you think the narrator or other characters look and act but that doesn't give you the right to shit on anyone else's desgins and comment negitive things.

This fandom is full of wonderful and skilled and talented artists and writers, they are having fun with what they do. The uniqueness and creativity is what makes this fandom shine and be as fun as it is.

Every desgin is beautiful <3 remember that.

For the months of October AND November, I am formally challenging any willing writer to take a stab at writing fanfiction including the season of Autumn using their choice of Criminal Minds characters! ANGEL/DIVINEKIN ACTIVITIES

🕊️ meditation! get in touch with the higher powers or simply allow the world to move around you. as a higher being, the constant stimulation of the human world can pull us in and distract us from our connection to the universe, the world, your deity, or even your own sense of self. allow yourself space to reflect and remember the scale of the universe and where you came from.

-> as an aside to this, cloud gazing can also be a good activity! it promotes the same kind of mindset, but if you are one who comes from the heavens or used to have wings, it can help to watch the sky above.

🕊️if you are a creature who is meant to help humans or command others, it may help to go into a leadership position. naturally we want to see our actions impact the world around us, and you can do this positively by engaging in your community, charities, or other groups around you like youth groups, churches, clubs, etc.! especially if you are an angel of a kind god, this may help you feel like your back in touch with your 'purpose' of aiding mortals.

🕊️ personally, i find it can help to get creative around more abstract/obscure kintypes to find ways to represent yourself. explore how you may express your sense of self - do you manifest as a wall of code, or a mixed media instillation with imagery and sound? are you a video? a sculpture? i find it fun to explore how the essence of my being feels when it is unable to be perfectly seen/experienced by the human mind.

do you have any c!awesamdream fics recomendations?

Honestly, I don’t have a ton of recs. c!awesamdream fic is mysteriously hard to find, and I also wouldn’t want to recommend you anything super E-rated in case that’s not your jam. Personally I’ve had more success searching the Sam & Dream gen relationship tag than the slash tag. That said, here are my no-brainer recs, most are gen with some exceptions:

inosculation by @theminecraftbox - canon compliant, reflection on how their relationship progresses during the prison arc, how c!sam’s authoritarian tendencies bloom in pandora, and the weird symbiosis he and dream achieve. technically not a slash fic but like it is To Me!!

saltwater on rock by @elmhat - also not technically a slash fic but it is a fun exploration of their relationship post-prison: who are they to each other, now that they aren’t prisoner and warden? what power has dream reclaimed, what power has sam ceded? or is it the other way around? fun stuff.

the trees deny themselves nothing by @lookinghalfacorpse - if you’re asking for recs you’ve probably already read this one (it’s basically THE awesamdream fic at this point) but i think it lends itself to re-readability! and if you haven’t read it: dream loses his leg in pandora, phil n techno conscript sam to make him a new one after the jailbreak, things get interesting. OP also wrote a post-fic oneshot which you can read here.

everlasting evermore by @elmhat - incomplete atm and also not slash but definitely awesamdream vibes. sam is a sad widower king who interrogates dream in his dungeon so it scratches the fantasy itch. this fic does some cool things with the cloning lab lore and i’m really excited to see where it goes!

21 steps in the desert by @airrec - banger. it's short so i won't describe it in detail. banger tho!

scream eureka by @cgogs - basically a post-canon domestic horror fic, sam and dream are married (with a kid on the way) but neither of them is able to move on from pandora. this fic deals with issues of bodily autonomy very well and it’s also refreshing to see trans pregnancy handled with tact, rather than treated like a fetish or a joke. IIRC this fic is an AU of an AU so be warned, it does come with like 30 pages of background lore which isn't necessary to understand the fic but does make it easier to follow.

all these lives by @lookinghalfacorpse - reincarnation drabble, plays with sam’s obsession in fun ways. not really sure how else to describe this one but i reread it sometimes! it’s good!

you don't have to be like that by @dr3amofagame - incomplete, i haven't reread this one in a while but i remember enjoying it at lot! dream gives sam the book in a moment of desperation and then has to navigate the fallout.

accident by @airrec - another fave. concise, fucked up, and very well written.

i’ve also been working on a multichap awesamdream fic (am i allowed to rec my own fics??? is that too cringe??) that’s gonna be wrapping up soon. pandora's vault gains sentience, that's the whole plot. like most of the other works on this list, it’s not technically ship fic but it is very much about sam and dream’s...situation. full warning tho, it’s long and rambly and weird, sorry for that!

i also wanna add that pretty much any fic that explores the scrapped lore is gonna have to deal with awesamdreamisms by necessity, owing to the nature of, well, the lore. there's a decent amount of fics about it, here's one that I found recently and enjoyed a lot.

Also, it's worth mentioning that some of the most compelling c!awesamdream content I've read were brief interludes in fics about much broader subjects in the fandom; I've read a lot of great c!awesamdream moments in c!rivals fics, prison trio fics, c!dnf fics, etc. So my advice is to cast your net wide, if that makes sense? How exhausting is it to run this blog? /gen

Hmmm. Well, not as much as I'd expected it to be back when I started! Thankfully I enjoy it and it doesn't feel like a chore. If i'm not up for blogging one day, I leave it. I never want it to reach the point where i lose passion for it.

have some a lot of details under the cut because this got away from me. feel free to skip it tho

It usually requires about an hour of my time to set up the schedule for the day (currently two because I'm out of practice and theres a lot of different blogs in the queue. I've also been posting more than i used to so that probably doesn't help.)

it might be wayy more than needed in the first place tbf. I like to keep things organized, read the posts and tag them properly, and balance out what gets posted. I queue things up by blog, so there might be anywhere from 50 to 100+ posts from a single person all bunched together, so I don't want to spam their notifs tooo bad. A lot of time is spent wading through the queue trying to find different people's posts.

it's not something i always do but I like to keep an eye on what i scheduled in case I screwed up a tag, so I might check in on it a couple times.

Queueing itself is simple enough thanks to the W shortcut so. Going through blogs isn't an issue. Finding new posts is slowly becoming a bigger task though: I've gone through most the blogs that I know of. At this point I'm looking through people that have reblogged things in the past in case they have anything else in their blogs. For that I'm keeping a spreadsheet documenting every single blog that i have seen, among other things.

I think that's everything? Once i'm fully done posting what's left, i'll go through the whole blog and 1. add tags tags that are needed in both old and new posts 2. get the masterlist up to date.

There's also a feature on tumblr that lets you backdate posts so i might date posts on the day/month/year they were actually made on, still haven't made up my mind about that. And of course i'll be giving the second blog a lot more attention wink wonk

I did take a break during June because life got ridiculously hectic and doing uni projects from dawn till dusk and then organizing stuff was a bit much for me lol

now that I'm putting it all in one place I'm realizing how much ive actually gotten done, but good news is that it doesn't feel like a lot. really been enjoyin it so far :D

LGBT headcanons survey is up for gen 1!!!!! Take it here!

I’m splitting these up by gen because it’s easier for me. More info about the survey under the cut:

1. Aromantic and asexual are separate options. If you would like to headcanon a character as aroace, just select both of them. I had to limit options in case shitposters came around. Unfortunately this does not account for aroace folks who still identify with other sexualities, and I’m sorry about that.

2. If any characters are missing or an option present everywhere else is missing on a question, PLEASE let me know! It was not intentional and I want to fix things ASAP.

3. I had a poll on whether or not I should do the LGBT headcanons survey or the demographics one, so I decided to combine them. At the end of the headcanons survey, at the fourth section titled “thank you”, you will find a link to the demographics survey.

4. All questions are skippable, you do not have to have a headcanon for every single character.

5. Responses are editable in case I missed anything. If I did and go back to add them, feel free to go back and edit your response.

Holiday Grab Bag

Gosh, can you believe it's almost December already? It seems this year has flown by. But that just means it's about time for another OMWC creative event! As always, we love creations of all sorts, so write a story, draw a picture, make a video, drop a rhyme, record a podcast, or anything else you can think of; we love them all!

This year, we're doing things just a little bit differently, though. We've got a month's worth of prompts up for grabs (1-31), but it's a secret grab bag--you choose a number, and we'll give you a prompt. Just send us an ask or DM with your chosen number. (Please make sure you don't ask anon, so we can reply directly to you.) We're hoping we'll get takers for all 31 prompts, and if we get even more requests, we'll add some extra choices, scramble the numbers, and start over again.

We're going to do our very best to keep the list up to date in real-time so everyone knows which numbers are still up for grabs (we're marking off the claimed boxes with Santa), but there could be some obvious logistical challenges to that. So when you send your request, please send your top THREE number choices, and we'll send you back your prompt(s). Everyone is definitely welcome to submit multiple entries, but as we begin, we're going to ask you to claim no more than two at a time, so when you send your number request, let us know if you want 1 or 2. You can always come back for more after those are filled!

Also, we'll be making a small charitable donation of $5 for each of the first 31 entries we receive. We'll be splitting the contribution between The Trevor Project (an organization important to Matt) and the American Diabetes Association (an as-yet-undecided organization important to Tim). So because I don't often post about these on tumblr; Riley is kind of a joint OC that I ship with Kinzie's hc of well... Kinzie, for RP. I can see her working with canon Kinzie too though! And Alix is my OC that I ship with Kinzie's OC Calista.

Kiley (Kinzie x Riley)

Pre-relationship 2: What was their first impression of each other?

So they actually had a really brief first meeting back in 2016 years before they meet "properly" which is in 2022 and not yet fully decided on. Riley was a fairly young doctor at the time and was brought to the big 4th July party(that's a huge part of Casey's rise to President and very important to the overall Out Of Time storyline) by the slightly slimy hospital owner more or less looking for arm candy.

When Oleg and Kinzie call out for a doctor for Matt(from the future, relevant), who has been shot, Riley responds and comes outside with them. However by the time they do so, Matt has been jumped back to the future to access Zin medical care, so she ends up more or less just checking if Casey is OK and then leaving.

She and Kinzie probably don't think much of each other at that time. I think we talked about Kinzie having some sort of odd feeling about Riley but shrugs it off because she has odd feelings about a lot of things, lol. I think later if they connect the dots it would be so intriguing to them both though to remember that! That they interacted in this small way because Kinzie just needed someone and Riley was there, and now she always will be.

General 2: Did they have an official first date? If so, what was it like?

I'd like if their official first date was at Roasted because we've had them meet up there in a specific setting before, but for the canon/Countdown universe, they could still time jump there. I think it's very chill which suits them both as they're both naturally kind of tense and it would relax them. Just gives them a chance to unwind and it's not too overwhelming for Kinzie in social terms because it doesn't tend to get too busy on a weekday, when they'd likely go.

Love 5: Who’s better at comforting the other?

Going with your hcs, definitely Riley comforting Kinzie, I think that's one of the main reasons Kinzie likes her so much actually is that she takes care of her. But I think the same would be true of canon because canon Kinzie definitely isn't very comforting! Riley can be abrupt when it comes to work but she's sweet when it comes to her personal life.

Domestic 6: Who kills the bugs in the house?

I feel like Kinzie would not do much about any bugs so definitely Riley. She's a doctor so values cleanliness and finds them really off-putting. So while she might release some humanely, she would want them dealt with as quickly as possible and sometimes that might mean killing them.

Calix (Calista and Alix)

Pre-relationship 2: What was their first impression of each other?

I think Alix was immediately taken by Callie's apperance; xe thought they were really beautiful and also liked their legs in the fishnets. From Callie's end they thought Alix looked really cool and liked xir rainbow hair. You'd be best to add if there's anything else they thought 😊

General 7: Who takes the lead in social situations?

I think while they're both fairly confident, I would imagine Calista would be a little more chill and go with the flow whereas Alix might be a little more decisive. Neither is really a wallflower though so it probably alternates!

Love 9: What kind of nicknames do they call each other?

Alix calls Calista "darlin'" most of the time, I think they call xem "babe" in return, and then Callie and Allie 😊 obviously Calista already gets called Callie before meeting Alix but Alix never really went by Allie before but xe finds that really cute that Calista calls them that.

Domestic 2: What's the wedding like? Who attends?

All the Saints would be invited from Callie's side, and from Alix's there would definitely be a lot of other farmers because unlike on earth, Alix probably works with a large team on Ragnarok as they would all be really important to setting up sustainable food sources. I'm not sure if either has any surviving family after the Earth's destruction; Alix has a strained relationship with xir parents but does love them so would invite them if they were alive.

As for the wedding itself I imagine they'd want something a little less traditional than Pierhys and Mass using the (3rd) rebuilt Saints church. In fact I think they'd maybe overdo the quirkiness of it to the point it'd be annoying for everyone else but they don't really give a shit, it's their day. 😆

Calista would probably want something dramatic and gothic venue-wise whereas Alix would probably want to get married in the middle of a field or something so I feel like a great compromise would maybe be a forest? We know there are forests on Ragnarok so it makes sense. I think Kinzie would play a pretty major role given she's Callie's best friend.

A ceremony in the middle of the trees with fairy lights strung all over the canopies and vows they both wrote. Since they're non-binary and agender they wouldn't really want anything with husband/wife connotations so again nothing resembling "traditional" vows. Instead of exchanging rings they have stencils of each others' first initials printed onto their ring fingers ready to have them tattooed before the photos. They sign the marriage document(Emperor Casey has rules people!) on each others backs.

They have a marquee for the reception but it looks more like a giant black bell tent with rainbow drapes all around. I'm not sure what they'd have food wise. Maybe they could have chocolate peanut butter cupcakes as their wedding cake.

Edit: This post went in a different direction than I anticipated. Please read under the cut ONLY if internalized (meaning only about myself) fat phobia is not a trigger for you.

And I did it. I dissociated while b/ping. I was doing so well with no dissociation earlier. Ugh, so, so frustrating. I will probably spend the next hour cleaning up and getting ready for bed. I hate this part. It's like waking up and suddenly becoming aware of the world around you along with the whirlwind of b/ping.

Also, I'm going to work tomorrow. In-person. That part is not a problem. I do that at least 4 days a week, every week. The problem is I accidentally gave myself a black eye in the most millennial/Gen Z way possible. Laying on my back in bed this morning. I had just sort of woken up and was in and out of sleep. I was holding my cell phone right above my head. Started to fall asleep. Dropped it on my eye. Yep, I got a black eye from my cell phone! Learn from my idiocy, lol.

Finally, I have an appointment with an endocrinologist tomorrow morning. I am very excited. Yes, I am seeing it as this magic want that will make all the weight I've gained come off. I have been diagnosed with hypothyroidism but given some of my other symptoms I feel like something else is going on. My nightmare is that right now it takes me a month to lose X pounds and FOUR days to gain X + 2 pounds with NO change in behaviors. And it goes round and round in a circle for months on end. And this is how I a)ended up at this weight and b)led to such extreme behaviors before res. Behaviorally, if my body wasn't broken, I would have been at very different weight. Because despite those extreme behaviors this is what was happening over and over and over again.

So, endocrinologist, please cure me. Please let me lose weight again. I can't live my life in this body. Why, why, why can't my body lose weight anymore? Like at all. No matter what my behaviors are. I am desperate. I am scared that I'm just going to keep gaining regardless of what I eat or my level of physical activity. Will it ever stop?

After doing my therapy homework I realized that having a thin body is my only sense of self-worth. But I'm gaining weight so fast that "the numbers don't add up" and I must be lying about actually having BED rather than Atypical AN b/p. That hurt. A lot. I'm not saying having BED is lower in the ed hierarchy, ugh! It's that I wasn't believed. And it was all because of my fat body. I'm not exaggerating. I have no doubt that someone in a smaller body would not be told they are denying binge eating behaviors. Who would ever believe that I was once underweight and for a long time? And I can't do anything about where I'm at now. Nothing. I feel trapped and completely out of control. I just want some relief. This is weird to say but I really want something to be wrong so that maybe, just maybe, there is some kind of thing that will once again allow me to control my weight.

I'm really sorry if anyone feels judged by this post. I put it under a cut because this is about my body and no one else. I don't want anyone to feel bad about themselves. I don't see others this way which has always confused me because why can't I say the same for myself? I just hate my body and even more so because nothing I do works to change it and I have repeatedly been on the receiving end of medical fat phobia. It's not my fault! I can't doing anything about it! Someone please listen to me instead of brushing me off with that disgusting, judgemental, fat phobic bullshit! "You look obese. Let's get you a free sample of wegovy." Fuck you! "We just want to help you reach your goals." Sure, that would be great. My goal is X pounds. I might die in the process of getting your help but it's fine. At least I'll be thin." Fuck you times 500. For new followers, yes this did happen. Just before I was almost sent to inpatient but my insurance wouldn't cover it (I'm fat) so I went to residential instead. I hate myself for spewing all this bullshit. It's all a product of my eating disorder and I know it's bullshit. But so is how I've been treated and I can't do anything to change it. I want to so bad but even if I eliminate food and water and survive on air I will still gain weight. Just like I did before treatment.

The DC Legacy Challenge

This is the DC Legacy Challenge! Each generation is (loosely) based around a character, either hero or villain, from DC comics. It includes 10 generations, plus 7 extras for the truly committed (or those who'd like to swap one out for something else). The ultimate goal of the challenge is to HAVE FUN!

Packs

This challenge was created with a conscious attempt to do something different every generation, and as such no consideration was given to packs. If you don't have a pack you need for a certain thing, feel free to substitute anything to suit what you've got, or even skip the whole gen if you want to.

For example, if you don't have Eco Living, then Poison Ivy would be fine with the Loves Outdoors trait, rather than Green Fiend. Don't have Bowling Night Stuff? As far as I know, Superman has never bowled once in his life. It was just for a little extra fun.

Rules of Succession

There are none! Play your legacy however you want; eldest child, matriarchy, or just whichever name you like best. The rules of succession are entirely up to you.

Inheritance Rules

Unless stated otherwise, you can take as much of your household funds with you as you want, if you're moving your heir out of home with each gen. Or you can send them out into the world with nothing. I personally take about 10% of the household funds.

General Rules

As above, it's important to remember the rules of this legacy are not strict. Even the order of the generations can be mixed and matched to suit you. I just want you to have fun with it; but if you need them, here's a few:

Play on Normal lifespan.

You must reach the max level of each gens chosen career.

The skills section indicates which skills MUST be maxed.

Barring the Supergirl gen (if you get to it) you CANNOT change your sims aspiration until the noted one is complete, but after that, the choice is yours.

Occult sims should not be carried on to the next generation, but if it happens, it happens.

Loans are permissible during gameplay, either through mods or cheats, so long as they're paid back.

But again, PLAY AS YOU LIKE. Maybe you always want to have a pet, maybe you don't want to kill other sims in the Joker gen, maybe you want to grab that Money Tree in gen one and never worry about money again. The point is fun, so go have it!

Suggestions

Don't get caught up in the name of each gen unless you really want to go full tilt; those are just who each gen is inspired by. Superman doesn't have to be Clark Kent. They don't even have to be a man. Get creative.

That calendar is there for a reason, add a few holidays, including a family reunion.

Think about adding your own favourite hero's or villains! There's a whole multiverse of characters to base a gen on out there (I didn't even use Flash, guys).

GENERATION 1: SUPERMAN

Your home, your family, everything is gone, so you're starting new on a new world, holding fast to the tenants of truth and justice ingrained in you. You fall madly in love with a co-worker and want nothing more than to settle down with them, and your dog, spending your life hiding just how truly impressive you are, only allowing yourself to stand out when you set fire to the bowling balls every time you hit the lanes.

Aspiration: Love > Soulmate Traits: Cheerful, Outgoing, Cringe Career: Writing > Journalism Branch Skills: Writing, Bowling Rules ☆ Marry a co-worker, or have the sim you marry become a journalist. ☆ Have a dog. ☆ Complete the Crystals collection, and display them in a part of your home called your Fortress of Solitude.

GENERATION 2: POISON IVY

Your parents were sickeningly in love and you swore you'd never become so dependent on another person, but you can't help how possessive you get. They're yours, but your partner and family are a distraction; all you really want to do is spend time with your plants. You're obsessed with them, crafting your life to revolve completely around them; your home, your job, your hobbies. Finding a collection of magic beans will allow you to truly become one with what you love the most.

Aspiration: Nature > Freelance Botanist Traits: Jealous, Loyal, Green Fiend Career: Gardener > Botanist Branch Skills: Gardening, Flower Arranging Rules ☆ Become a Plant Sim. ☆ Have a full greenhouse you tend to religiously. ☆ Grow a Death Flower.

GENERATION 3: WONDER WOMAN

Your parent never had much time for you, so you make time for everyone. You give all of yourself to the world, making friends where you can, making a difference even when you're told you can't. Your choice is always kindness, and you lead with respect for all your fellow sims. All you keep for yourself is your love for exploring beautiful art from ancient history, which you feel oddly connected to.

Aspiration: Popularity > Friend of the World Traits: Good, Art Lover, Proper Career: Politician > Charity Organizer Branch Skills: Charisma, Archaeology Rules ☆ Find the Amazonite Harvest Knife, Amazonite Skull, & Bullseye Amazonite Gold Perereca. ☆ Earn a Pristine reputation. ☆ Adopt at least one child.

GENERATION 4: JOKER

At some point in your childhood, something went horribly wrong in your head and you never really grew up. You become obsessed with pranks and jokes and the older you get, the more cruel they become until you reach the stage where the only time you feel good is by making others feel bad. Ingrained with your parent's leadership skills, you form yourself a gang of like-minded sims and have the time of your life reigning hell on the world.

Aspiration: Deviance > Chief of Mischief Traits: Goofball, Erratic, Mean Career: Criminal > Boss Branch Skills: Mischief, Comedy Rules ☆ Kill at least 3 other sims. ☆ Create a gang (club), and a funhouse for them to hang in. ☆ Earn an Atrocious reputation.

GENERATION 5: ORACLE

Your out of control parent caused a horrible accident that changed your life, but you refuse to let it limit you. You cut them out of your life, but you lack nothing with a close group of friends, and a hobby that keeps your hands busy and clears your mind. You're brilliant and determined, and going to change the world from behind your keyboard.

You want to be a good parent, but you can't ignore the dangers that lurk in the world, and it makes you over-protective and distant. Lucky you were able to engineer up some help around the manor, to step in with the kids when you step too far back.
