That’s quite a fitting I suppose, I do know a lot about beans afterall. Though I do suppose you’re asking for a bean fact so:

Pre-Black Death, laborers weren’t accustomed to wheat bread, our bread was usually made of beans or of other corn. During the Black Death, as the elite suffered & the laborers died off, there was an increased demand for labor. Our wages rose and we were able to demand better food than bread, oatmeal, thin ale, and little meat. It was amazing! We were able to eat beef and mutton almost if not more often than bacon and fresh instead of salted fish! The rich complained and whined Constantly about how “greedy” we were to demand for fresh flesh and bread made of wheat instead of bread made of beans. Don’t get me wrong, I love beans. But you get sick of a food if you eat it nearly every day for roughly 135 years.

Reading The Tale of Sir Launcelot and Queen Guinevere from Le Mort d’Arthur and it is a wild ride let me tell you.

The Knight of the Cart is just full of hysterical moments; Lancelot acts like all the parodies of honourable knights I’ve ever seen it’s amazing.

The bit where he commits grand theft auto is my favourite.

“Unto my lorde, sir Mellyagaunce’, seyde the carter.

“And with hym wolde I speke”, seyde sir Launcelot.

“Thou shalt nat go with me!” seyde the carter.

Whan sir Launcelot lepe to hym and gaff hym backwarde with hys gauntelet a reremayne (a bitchslap) that he felle to the erthe starke dede’.

Like, jfc Lancelot you just MURDERED A POOR PEASANT MAN JUST TRYING TO DO HIS JOB.  And then he threatens the other poor man into driving him around.

The next part is literally Lancelot storming the castle from Monty Python and the Holy Grail, it’s amazing.

‘And therewithall he bare the gate wyde opyn uppon the porter, and smote hym undir the ere wyth hys gauntelet, that hys nekke braste in two pecis.’

OH MY GOD LANCELOT JUST BEHEADED A MAN WITH HIS FIST.

The worst part is, the men he kills are just random peasants not involved with Lancelot at all they’re just doing their jobs and he MURDERS THEM.  Then, when it comes to slaying Mellyagaunt for kidnapping the Queen and he begs for mercy Lancelot suddenly doesn’t know what to do?  Cos knights and honour and everything? Lancelot you literally just murdered a bunch of innocents you’re a monster.

Comunidades eclesiales de Guayaquil  y Federación de Centros Chachi de Esmeraldas apoyarán a Lenín Moreno

Las comunidades eclesiales de Guayaquil (CEB) y la Federación de Centros Chachi de Esmeraldas (FECCHE) confirmaron, a través de un comunicado, su apoyo al candidato de Alianza PAIS, Lenín Moreno. Los motivos que estas organizaron presentaron, se centraron en la ayuda a los pobres, la redistribución de la riqueza y el carácter "humilde" del candidato oficialista.

Según este comunicado, el candidato es “abierto al diálogo con todos los que trabajan por el país. No miente, ni ofende, es emprendedor, le gusta servir, es humilde, no es violento y canta aún mejor”.

Por otro lado, destacaron su negativa de apoyar al candidato de SUMA-CREO, Guillermo Lasso, ya que “es individualista y no reconoce que su riqueza es producto del trabajo de muchos”. Afirmaron que el candidato opositor “representa el capital y a los grupos de poder que siempre gobernaron para sus propios intereses”.

La Federación de Centros Chachi de Esmeraldas (FECCHE), con base social de líderes y dirigentes de 28 centros y 53 comunidades de la nacionalidad Chachi, dijo que su respaldo al candidato Lenín Moreno se enfoca en “su humanismo que admiramos”. Acotaron que apoyan la Revolución Ciudadana y que “jamás nuestra nacionalidad Chachi olvidará las obras sociales y populares por parte del presidente Rafael Correa”.

Para ellos, el candidato de Alianza PAIS brindaría apoyo a la vida, el origen ancestral y los derechos colectivos.

Además, la Federación Nacional de Migrantes Retornados del Ecuador invitó a los dos candidatos presidenciales a un diálogo que se realizará el próximo 25 de marzo para conocer las propuestas que tengan a favor de los migrantes.
