Mayor La Guardia's war on pinball machines received a boost from World War II, when metal was in high demand. On February 21, 1942, hizzoner looked over a collection of scrap metal, including pin balls and their machines, to donate to the federal government. It was estimated that the haul would be enough to make four 2,000-pound aerial bombs.

Feb 19 - last of the pea soup from the freezer for supper, with buttered toast.

Feb 20 - cleaned the upstairs bathroom. Had fish fillet and fries for supper.

Feb 21 - lots and lots of crocheting. Made beef & macaroni stew for supper.

how do you even? how do you do that every day

you don't feel tired, lethargic, out of energy like your about to pass out. well i'm not cool with protecting you all from demons anymore. if that's what you're doing.

my body could not handle that. i seriously needed to like get that out of me- to see i've been living the same day AND I'M REALLY OVER IT AND NOT OK WIITH THAT.

and also that i gotta shed old ppl, ways, habits to move forwards

i felt so dead, tired, like i could collapse at any moment, how is it that we could still like that , if we have to go out as a mom? or 29... after being exposed to all this. if i gotta go out i don't want to feel like that ever again.

Feb 21 - low motives day. Did eventually get up and eat, have meds, get on computer to game a little (more NMS, and my crashing problem has not reoccurred, yay). Baked a loaf of oatmeal molasses bread, too, so at least I got something done despite super-slow start.

Supper was soup from the freezer, and some of the last of the previous loaf of bread.
