again im not surprised people were a little let down by chromokopia But part of me is like wondering if its because so many people were just so surprised by the album in general cus there was so little time between announcement and drop. Like the album dropped and literally not even 24 hours later people were like "yeah i have nothing off this album im listening to again" like Really? you listen to it once and NEVER again and just write it off? sigh. was so hurt to hear people didnt like sticky. i thought it was great

Rise Of The Dumbphones
Dumbphones, also known as “feature phones” or “basic phones”, might seem counterintuitive – however, this trend is a reflection of a growing desire for simplicity, mindfulness and a break from the constant digital noise that modern smartphones bring. Users are increasingly embracing distraction-free tech as a means to regain control over their lives and find a healthier balance between the…

5 Best DC Films Ever Made
Folks, it’s DC’s turn and it’s time for the 5 Best DC Films Ever made. Deshi Geek has mostly focused on Disney, Netflix, and Marvel movies so far but now it’s finally time to get DC in the fray. We have covered Animation, Horror, and Thrillers in the film category of the ‘Top 5’ segment before. As for covering the movies based on DC comics, this is the first entry.
A wide range of well-known heroes and villains, including Wonder Woman, the  Joker, and Batman, can be found in DC film universes. There have been highs and lows in their cinematic career throughout the years, with certain films like the critically acclaimed “The Dark Knight” setting new standards for character development and narrative scope, while others never quite caught on.

Sports and Anime were regarded as two different sources of entertainment until 1928. One of the most prominent Anime directors Yasuji Murata combined two sources into one by directing the first sports anime “Animal Olympic Games“. However, it was just the beginning of a new type of genre in the Anime industry. And, that unique genre is my motivation for writing this ‘5 Best Sports Anime of All Time’ feature.
The improvement of technologies and as well as the interest of the viewers made this genre one of the most fabulous, inspirational, and enjoyable genres in the Anime Industry. Today we are here to talk about the ‘5 Best Sports Anime of All Time’ that have seen millions of viewers from a wide range of demographics. These titles are so iconic that they will weather the test of time.

Differences between the Tokaido-San'yo (Tokyo-Osaka-Hakata) Shinkansen models
Similarly to how in this post there's no way to tell the difference between an E7 and a W7 in the video, I realised that in the photo I reblogged yesterday, I couldn't tell exactly which N700 model it was. So let's go over that briefly.
Tumblr media
Now when I say I don't know exactly what those trains were, it kind of doesn't really matter: both trains are technically N700A (Advanced) variants, like this one seen in Okayama. The nitty-gritty part is whether or not the trains were N700As to begin with. The original N700s were all upgraded to A-spec with a few technical improvements (this is why it doesn't matter), but it is still possible to tell whether a particular train is one of the older batch. We have the windscreen markings again, X & K for the original batch, and F & G for the As (with the letters also telling us which JR owns that particular train), but the easiest is to spot the logos on the sides of the carriages. On the above N700A, we see a large A logo in the top-left corner of the picture. And below, we have the logo of the original N700 series, pictured on the prototype on display at the SCMaglev Railway Park in Nagoya.
Tumblr media
These sets were upgraded to A-spec, and, rather than re-decorate this part of the carriage, they just added an "A" sticker to the existing logo.
But neither these logos nor the windshield number are visible in yesterday's photo. Original poster hekiqoo tagged Atami as the location of the photo, which means that the two trains can only be of one of the above types due to the shape (we'll get to the newer type soon), but I can't tell exactly which.
Moving on, because there's more...
Tumblr media
This N700 variant can only be found west of Osaka. It runs the fast services to and on Kyushu. It can obviously be recognised by its specific livery, a very nice blue-grey base rather than white, and it's shorter. While Tokaido trains have 16 carriages, this version only has 8, leading to station signs at half the gates that say "this train does not stop at this neighborhood". I know these trains are long, but wow!
Tumblr media
Of course, we have to mention the most recent addition to the lines: the N700S (Supreme, seen at Himeji). These have new logos on the side, a "heron beak" added to the stripes at the ends, but can also be physically distinguished from its N700A predecessors with different headlights and more boxy fenders. Some friends have said it looks like a hippo!
Tumblr media
Finally, I should mention that some 700 series trains are still running between Osaka and Hakata (seen here at Fukuyama). These are not N700s, they're the previous series. The full 16-car sets in very similar white and blue livery to the N700s have been withdrawn, only these grey "RailStar" trains are left, so there's no risk of getting this mixed up with anything else beyond the 700 in the name.

oh no, another writing idea: i've read so many fics about rin and haru in australia, rin and haru in japan (for obvious reasons), rin and haru in america, and other non-asian countries, but i've never read a fic about them being based in a southeast asian country (but to be fair, i've obviously not read all the fics there are available under their tag so i wouldn't know for sure).
today, i was thinking about the local sports scene—primarily football (as in soccer), because 1. when i think of sports, my favourite one is football. i enjoy football, used to even play it regularly, but i mainly watch the english premier league, and on occasion the la liga, and 2. i was wondering, "why is albirex niigata, an originally japanese team, playing in the singapore (where i'm from) premier league?"
so i found out that albirex niigata singapore fc is the satellite team for the original albirex niigata of japan, and even so, the team is made up of all (but one) japanese players.
and then i thought:
what if, in some alternate universe, rin is a football player on albirex niigata singapore fc, a player on loan, and haru is an exchange student studying in a local arts academy (idk, either the NAFA/nanyang academy of fine arts or la salle college of the arts or SOTA/school of the arts)?
and what if, one day, haru is dragged to a football match by his classmates who thought it would be a splended idea since it's the premier league finals and albirex niigata, a club that has been dominating the table, is playing, and haru, you're literally japanese—you should support your fellow countrymen even if you're in singapore right now? and haru (begrudgingly) relents, so here he is, in a stadium full of people, munching on shrimp chips and witnessing a sport he has little care for.
rin is a bench warmer. and after the finals are over, haru bumps into him in the washroom. he recognises him from the match because of his vibrant, carmine hair, even though rin's barely had any play time, and he feels obligated to congratulate him if only for the fact that he wants rin to know that he, too, is a japanese man in a foreign country. he wants to connect, desperately, to some who reminds him of home. but there's only one problem:
haru is mute.
so he resorts to fishing out a notepad he always carries along with him in case of occurrences such as these (because he can't assume that he knows japanese sign language) and quickly scribbles out a congratulations—in hiragana, because he wants rin to pick up on the fact that they're both from japan. at first, rin thinks he's merely an excitable fan who's showing off the fact that he's learnt japanese to a player of his favourite club, but no, haru quickly clarifies in messy characters, and they fall into a natural conversation.
one conversation turns into many, face-to-face and text, conversations and eventually meetings. haru, despite being somewhat of a technophobe, burries his dislike for technology and abandons the notebook in favour of typing out his responses whenever they converse. (rin asks him to tear out the pages where he'd first scribbled in hiragana to him so he can keep it, for memories' sake). he finds that he likes rin's company, and finds his voice beautiful—and after several visits to rin's trainings and official matches, he starts to feel sad because the cheering at his matches are a loud cacophony of voices, and he knows his will never be a part of it. he falls further into despair when he finds that having rin read off a screen would pale in comparison to him actually being able to speak his mind, emotively, expressively. he wants, so badly, for rin to be able to hear him speak—to hear rin's melodious, sing-song voice, or his child-like laughter in response to something haru says.
and so he makes a decision.
and he isn't sure if rin would approve of it.
