Started FE4 and I gotta be honest, even knowing going in that Sigurd and Deirdre get married could not have possibly prepared me for how it actually goes down… like what do you mean they meet for the first time, Sigurd tells her he loves her the second time they ever talk, and then suddenly by the end of the chapter they’re married 😭

AND THIS IS ALL IN CHAPTER 1??? God this game is unhinged and I’m honestly so here for it

I'm curious about jugdral's story but really don't want to play those games. Is watching a playthrough worth it?

FE4's PT are long as fuck, because FE4 is a very long game with long long long chapters!

Back in my days, people wrote playthroughs instead of doing videos about them, and reading is always way less time consuming than watching a video - but the video has the OST which is really good, and you can get more attached to the characters than with a screenshot PT!

(if you're interested, I sort of posted my own FE4 PT under the tag FE4 run! I think I tried to screencap all the plot moments !)

You have scripts available on Serenes Forest, and you have the FE4 Oosawa manga, that takes, uh, some liberties with the canon, but if you want to get a feeling of the characters, it's here (with pretty 90s art!)

And once the FE4 run is over, you must absolutely watch/read a FE5 run because FE5 is imo the best part of the duology and then SF has some supplementary materials like Kaga's notes or notes that can be found in artbooks (FE Treasure!).

But if you're a bit overwhelmed, I'll happily answer to your asks about some plot points, if you want!

honestly feeling stressed that feh wants askr to be a perfect paradise which keeps getting attacked by all these rotten jealous neighbouring nations who are just jealous of askrs cool summoner and perfect lives but then also orphanages are a universal constant?????? askrs wars are nearly exclusively fought by fire emblem characters isekai'd for that sole purpose but there's still enough orphaned kids that the state is practicing institutionalisation??????? and then filling those orphanages with adult fe characters who were raised in them makes them feel like a zoo exhibit like oh it's enrichment for the heroes to go take care of forgotten unloved children just like they were. that's kind of sick. that's twisted

sigh I wanna start a new blazing blade run...I had one going but I love nothing more than starting new runs of fe games, and the further away I get from a particular run the more likely I am to scrap it...y’know I’ve never finished Sacred Stones? I think I had like two maps to go, and for some reason I lost interest for a year or so and when I came back I restarted instead. I kinda get it, for me the fun of the fe games is making all the decisions about how to level your units, how to build supports and how to clear maps without losing anyone, and the further along in the game it gets the less potential there is for those decisions. And yeah the allure of just finishing the damn thing is still there, but it’s less of a draw than the start of the game where anything is possible. And with Blazing Blade I haven’t played Hector’s mode yet, so I wanna give that a shot (I think I was still in Lyn’s section on my second playthrough). And I still say Blazing Blade is my favorite fe game ever even tho I’ve only ever beaten it once. A lot of it comes down to convenience, it’s much easier to boot up 3H on the switch than basically any other fe game.

of course what I should really do is make another stab at Chapter 3 of Genealogy. Psh, as if.

3DS games Citra was an accidental victim of Yuzu going down so your best bet is to grab it from one of it fork, like here https://github.com/PabloMK7/citra. It require a strong computer to run it, and my experience is that it doesn't run the FE games very well. Another option is to simply hack your 3DS if you have one

FE4 silly potats

Hi. Its been a VERY long time since ive done and posted something FE4, but one day not long ago I decided to replay it and im obsessed again.

Ive been into it for over 10 years but had regular burnouts (& for the FE series in general) with the last few monthes PC98 Touhou being some sort of haven, my obsessions run on a cycle tbh.

For the people who follow me for the PC98 Touhou content dont worry, Im not going to stop making content of it. Im just experiencing a burnout lately for reasons I prefer to keep private, im just taking a little break. I also want to draw for other series I enjoy.

Do you have a favorite here feel free to tell me :) ive cut almost all contacts I had with FE4 circles so it feels kind of lonely.

(Its too hard for me to pick because I love all of gen 1)
