Hiya! I just wanted to say I’m so so happy to see you posting about far cry 5 and getting to read your beautiful writings again! That Jacob one had me fanning myself off after reading it- I was looking around my room just like Jacob while the deputy was dirty talking him! You always were so brilliant capturing the raw ferality of the brothers- the flaws, their weaknesses, their complexities, and their different ways of displaying dominance and demanding submission that fit their characters
. I adored your writings for so long and was so sad when everyone on the fandom stopped posting stuff (which it’s been years so I get it- I became obsessed with the COD mean so fixations change). I’m just happy to read your writings again and see you posting! No matter what it’s about, I’ve always adored your writing style! Thanks for sharing your brilliant works with all of us again!
Oh my god thank you so much??? This is so sweet thank you!! 😭♥️ I'm really glad you enjoyed the Jacob dirty talk fic haha, I had a lot of fun writing it!
I'm so happy you like the way I write the brothers, I can definitely get a bit insecure about that sometimes, so that's really lovely to hear 😭
Yeah, a lot of time has passed, so it makes sense that a lot of people will have moved on which is sad, but there are always going to be new people playing the game for the first time, and people that - like me - will suddenly remember how much they loved it haha. For me, it was just realising a youtuber I was watching had done a fc5 playthrough a few years ago so I watched it and I was right back lmao
Thank you so much for sending this, this is so sweet and has made my day 😭😭<3

I kinda love this little fc5 community we have here 😁 I'm starting to recognize people's avatars and usernames and it feels like when you walk past someone at work who you never talk to except for the occasional "hello" and "good morning" but always acknowledge their presence with a smile whenever they're around.
Anyway that's my long winded way of saying hello! I love fc5 and would love to hear about other people's headcanons and oc's if you have any! It doesn't have to just be about Jacob or Staci! I have a bit of an anxiety disorder and Adhd so I am just as nervous as you 😅
Here are some of my headcanons (only for Staci):
I see him as having done wrestling in school. I think it was both as a way of trying to make friends and find community and to have a bit of an edge against bullies. Him having a "girly" name would probably have made things difficult for him growing up and wrestling was something that allowed him to have a healthy outlet. I think he would quit in his first or second year of high school tho to focus on passing his classes.
I think this would have helped him in the future with his police academy and the trials afterwards. He would be hard to knock down and wouldn't let himself be dragged around (before the trials). I keep imagining a scene where the first time he resists Jacob, he goes to wrestle Staci into submission himself and has a moment of surprise when he doesn't go down as easily as he thought. He'd get that trained out of him quickly tho, at least towards Jacob.
I also read some pretty fantastic fics by the same author of the deputies before the cult nonsense, and their Staci had done a year of paramedic training before he joined the force which really made sense for his character in my opinion and now it's just kinda a staple in alot of my aus lol
Also, kinda hilarious that we all collectively saw Pratt and decided he's a mama's boy!
Here's a link to one of the fics I mentioned, I definitely suggest checking out their other works!
#just some monty talks#also i recognize that jacob/staci is a toxic couple but thats why theres dark romance genres out there!#i wanna disect their brains and make it Work#the psychological aspect of this is 🤌#jacob seed#staci pratt#rancid cultist falls for local feral cop

Of course! Here's a snippet of two sentences from another small FC5 WIP I call You're Almost Like Family.
Oh! And it's a "character stuck in a groundhog loop" scenario. Here's a hint: It's not Deputy Silva Omar who's stuck.
Now have some tiny snippets of John's POV below:
He did hope that Joseph wasn’t planning on having the Deputy replace their current Faith. The older of the two women hardly seemed like flower girl material, nor the type to play the submissive and docile role. She was quite serious, never obnoxiously carefree and unnecessarily joyful. She was smart, in patience and strategy, always quick on her feet and ready to use the environment to her advantage. She masked her emotions well, but never for the purpose of adhering to a performance.
Her intentions, however misguided, were always clear. Much like Joseph and Jacob. And a bit of himself too, the longer John thought about it. It was almost eery just how similar yet so different she was to the family. He could even say their paths were always meant to cross. The coming of the Collapse and her divine role in the prophecy only ensured the inevitable.
#far cry 5#far cry the silver chronicles#wip: you're almost like family#john seed#joseph seed#jacob seed#faith seed#the seed family#oc: deputy silva omar#thank you for the ask#shallow-gravy#also looking forward to read the next chapter of your fc5 fic

That anon here again, and damn. I completely get what you mean about it being an unhappy ending cause big oof. There's some points that I relate to in that it follows my own dep's story. The whole trying so hard to be the hero until you're broken down and you give up. Because when my girl joins the cult, it's like Syb's reason: it's submission and a lack of choice. She loves Joseph (yes, she's a Joseph fucker), but ultimately it's a thing of this or death (likely by her own hand). 1/?
And even once she joins, she's a shell of herself for a bit and even once she's healed more, she's never gonna be the same as she was before. His actions (whether directly or indirectly) broke her down, and even if he loves her too, that can't be fixed. Though she does ultimately carve out her own happiness despite how her life's turned out. Becomes Mother to the cult, she's with Joseph (who she loves deeply yet still has some resentment for), and gets a bit more evil. (2/?)
So, it's a situation of 'could have been much better but also a lot worse' ending for her, I guess. Fucked up yet with some happiness to it even if it's not ideal. Also asdfdas apologies for spewing all of this out in your inbox, I went on a tangent. But my ultimate point is it's interesting to see where everyone's OCs end up when dealing with the Seeds. Miserable, happy, a mix of the two. Yet always traumatized in the end lmao. (3/3)
ahhhhhh a joseph fucker dep <3 we love joseph fucker deps in this house ( and joseph fuckers in general)
and no need to apologize! i also love hearing how other peoples deps fall in with the cult and their reasons for it and what led them to make that choice! it's always fascinating! what i really love about the fc5 fandom is that willingness to explore those kinds of complicated and conflicting emotions and even the "happy"/"good" endings are still soaked with blood and rife with tragedy

“I've been noticing that a lot of our creators have been feeling frustrated with themselves for not being productive enough on their fc5 content. I just wanted to say that if this applies to you please please please DO NOT STRESS ABOUT IT. Darlings we are here to admire your work. We haven't given you deadlines so don't think we're mad at you and don't apologize if you're not feeling up for it. This is not a job but a community to relieve your stress and lift your spirits. We love you and it's ok.”

Full name: Sam Aileron
Age: 27 as of 2018
Gender: Male
Sexuality: Gay
Relationship: Nick Rye
Occupation: Deputy
Game: Far Cry 5
A short description about your OC: Sam was born and raised in northern Idaho, and by sheer fate, fell into Hope County as a first time Junior Deputy at 27 when they couldn’t find anyone to take the job in Montana. Starting out as a lone wolf sniper, Sam didn’t have anyone to depend on after escaping Joseph’s church but soon found new friends in the people of the county and the Guns for Hire he found along the way, even falling for the King of the Skies, Nick Rye. Years have passed in Hope County as Sam, now almost 29, has grown into his role as a fully fledged Deputy. The pressure falls on Sam and Nick, along with the rest of The Resistance to save the county as death-less as possible while still dealing blows to the ever growing power of Eden’s Gate.
A mention to you/your blog or a link to your OC’s tag: You can find more about Sam on my blog @wewillryesagain and tag #Deputy Sam Aileron-Rye

Christmas at the Seeds
Jacob and Faith wanting to snuggle up, John having made some fresh coffee for himself with some sneaky booze before Joseph yoinking him in to join the cuddle pile.
Faith's sweater says "Get Lit" on top of a Christmas tree. John's says "Sexy And I Snow It" 😂
For @refinedstorage! Bonus: Alison Clark!! bc I couldn't decide how or what to draw so I ended up drawing two things ;;;

Protector of New Eden
Chapter 9 : Trail
"Do you think she still lives?"
"I do not know. Try to wake her up."
The muffled voices pierced Hope's eardrums as she slowly but surely gained consciousness.
"Hey, sinner!" Sudden push to her right side made a small grunt escaped her mouth.
Her weak body fell after being shoved again and fell to the ground. Dust passed through her fingers, and her head turned to the sunlight that was passing through the wooden boards of her spacious cage from above.
Her hand reached for the rays of the sun, shining directly into her eyes to block it.
She doesn't remember anything. She doesn't know where she is and what happened. Her whole body hurts as if a train has passed her, and dire hunger vanquishes her. The same feeling overcame her when she was in a prison camp.
The wolves howled around the property. From behind bars, Hope saw many people wailing from the pain and hunger, suffering from Eden's Gate regime. They barely dwelt alive, lying in dirt or leaning on the bars of their iron houses.
At that moment, she knew exactly where she is.
San Francis Veteran's Center.

( since @ing isn’t working, thought I’d try through the submission box instead? hope this goes through. from softmalldrifting xx )
In order to draw the least attention to herself, this woman of more than six foot in height, taller than a small silver birch sat at the back of this small town church. It was better that way. There was no way, that she was to disturb the same enlightening sermon which drew her in from the outside in the first place. Through word of mouth in this area, too but–God, either way she knew it would be worth the visit. She gripped the sides of her sailor’s cap and pulled, to keep her curled red perm in place. The navy sailors dress pooled around her ankles, boldly Edwardian and more fit for a day at the seaside than for a Sunday service. Tights crystal white, flat shoes navy again. If she were at least to stay in this tiny place and give life to the local television station with her outstanding experience in weather, then there was no excuse not to make time for God.
Her grey, startling eyes flickered from the rest of the flock to the enthusiastic man reading the sermon. Jennifer was completely enthralled, and reminded herself to thank him at the end. It was exhilarating to hear words like his once again. Jennifer felt hope, she felt the faith. How much she was reminded of her twin brother, and his often electrifying sermons he gave to a scattering of churches in the Midwest. Gosh, she couldn’t help herself. Her strides were light stepped, but proud whilst walking forward towards him.
“Hallo. Goodness me, that was truly inspired.” Her naturally dusky, deep and very very English voice seemed to fill the small space. Most of the time her way of speaking was clipped, inquisitive but today, she was in the mood to relax so her tones were grand, warm and drawn out ,just like her brother’s. “I have to thank you for that. It’s nice to get back in touch with God again because to be honest with you, I haven’t been taking his calls for the past few months–if you get my drift. I’m sure you do. I hope to attend these more often, actually.” Her face was alight with joy, grinning. “Are you here all the time?”
Joseph noticed the women as she arrived in the church, a slight smile on his expression as the new comer entered. New ones were always welcome especially those who had lead a life of suffering and sin. But there was an aura of purity to the new lamb in the pasture, as if God was smiling down on her at this very moment. But the sight of her was unknown to Josephs usual patrons. He did not recognise here, flashing a reassuring smile her way as she took her seat at the back. He took his place on the podium, blue eyes tinted green by his brimstone lenses as he flickered over the hopeful faces of his flock, but his attention remained fixed on hers. It was important to accommodate all that attended, especially new comers, he was their shepherd after all.
She had remained in her seat throughout the entire sermon, transfixed on his every word. Pride welled within him as she approached, elation in her every stride. He couldn’t help but grin as she complimented his sermon, noticing the English accent slipping through as she spoke, her words articulated with every syllable. Joseph held himself with authority, but a comforting hand as he listened. Every new lamb to the flock was a success in his eyes.
“Welcome. I’m glad you were inspired by the words of God. And don’t worry, It’s easy to lose track of your relationship with God when you’re dealing with so much pain.” His eyes lit with empathy as he spoke, gaze unwavering from hers as the rest of the flock started to flow out the wooden doors, others waiting for their own word with the Father. “ But he brought you to my church, my sermon, to me. You’re on the right path now. And yes, this is my church and my flock. He raised his arms to her in a grand gesture, grey blazer paling in the light, black rosary hanging wrapped around his wrist.
“Welcome, My Child. To The Project at Eden’s Gate.”
