like?? imagine medic trying a technique he picked up somewhere apperently and heavy humbling him by giving him a quick punch where he had an obviously weak window and medic folds instantly after

heavy probably has to hold his punches a bit but he can still wail on him comfortably since medic can use the medigun to fix himself up. and mid-round they just huddle around the gun as heavy gives him tips for better form n etc

oh a dont forget them looking longingly into each other's eyes mid-sparring session bleeding and bruised, the most important part

heavy backstory / headcanon dump because he's my babygirl and i thought about him so much a few days ago that i almost threw up

- always had a need to help make money for his family since his was a kid. did a lot of running around in the town beneath him to sell stuff. his folks had no idea of it, nor that he was bringing his sisters when he had to watch them. admittably this haunts heavy even though he was like 6

- definitely his dad's kid, basically kickstarted his love for weapons and machinery. really beat himself up about when his dad died when he was 20

- his dad also had ties with the bratva (russian mafia) who sold him out near the end of his life. heavy hasn't gone down this path but post-cloning for work his blu counterpart definitely has

- got by with boxing for a long time. he took classes when he was a kid but it was viable enough post-breakout for work where he was the undefeated heavyweight champion for a local russian circuit until mann co recruited him

- probably a gay guy? its complicated, does prefer male romantic partners but seems to have a fem romantic preference for his guns (also objectum but you already knew) also open to polygamy

- he's a bit of a poet, a romantic type, but hadn't even started fooling around until arriving at tuefort. he had no idea he had game!

- ftm, knew he was a boy since he was very little. was able to socially transition but hadn't physically for most of his life since he always assumed he had bigger priorites to deal with. he's not terribly dysphoric about it but able to feel better about it now thanks to recent easy access to medical stuff from work

- accidentally taught himself that if he isn't doing something for anyone else's sake than himself than he's inherently being selfish. has trouble being self-indulgent or thinking about himself

- loves cooking, especially for other people

- also loves making people laugh, his huge scary demenour doesn't do any favors but all things considered he's pretty jovial and makes sure that he isn't living super seriously all the time

- the entire defense group are tied super close together, they share a lot of the same goals and get along super well. they all probably shout songs on the radio during road trips

- loves chickens

- post-comics, would be interested in showing his sisters, especially zhanna, how his miniguns work like his dad did
