Hi everyone! I wanted to give a huge thank you to all those who followed me. I've given some of you a follow back and will probably get around to the rest of y'all later.

I'm working fiercely on Pock 3 (pen's on fire as we speak), but I wanted to give y'all a little heads up. In addition to Moonpocks, I'm also a real-life folk occultist + research junkie, so I'm gonna be posting insights I get in connection to the audio drama and Native Fay (hence, the title).

something i wish i'd see more in trigun fanarts is people having vash speak their native/non-english languages completely unprompted, ive seen folks have him speak french, which he canonically knows, but i really do believe he's a polyglot. mostly because of that one time in the desert when he saw the samurai and wanted to greet him in japanese but struggled to remember how to even say hello.

my headcanon is that rem had them learn as many languages as possible but with the big fall and so many people dying, which i think is what led english to became No man's land main (or even only?) language, means that vash (and knives!) both got horribly out of practice and are various sort of rusty in every others languages.

what im saying if there's any pun or joke you've been dying to write but just doesn't work in english vash (and knives!!) are right there!

I went deep into research mode for this one, because I really wanted British butterflies (yep, that's the life cycle in question), and I needed the Caterpillar to both appeal to my aesthetic sense AND be something I could draw relatively easily. After a lot of tiffling about, I finally landed back on the first one I'd fixed on - this dapper gent (caterpillar of the Peacock Butterfly).

I really enjoyed this exercise, and finally felt like I'd started to get my hand in again.
