💝 MetaDede Week 2024 Day 3: Gifts 💝

hi hi willow!!!!!!!!!!! (<- absolutely not in pain whatsoever)....... i am just wondering if..... uh.... u have imagined a reason for the breakup yet? i'd love to know why you think bakugo would ever break up with you. heh heh. hah. :D (i am crying)

here are the things you don't know—yet, at this point in time after the breakup.

two weeks before, dynamight gets into an ugly argument with a civilian. over something stupid, probably; she's drunk and not listening to a word the hero is telling her, stumbling around in public and taking her shoes off and shoving at him when he tries to corral her from getting into another fistfight in the street.

it's just—bad. looks bad. before anything productive can happen, a few of her friends are stumbling out and screaming at him, too, for being a cocky asshole and putting their phones in his face and recording him and maybe he says something he shouldn't—not something terrible, just something that sounds extra bad when a group of young women are screaming and angry at you—and it gets blasted all over the internet.

two weeks before, dynamight gets dragged in the paper. for being a jerk. for being such an asshole. remember when he nearly collapsed that building last month, during that fight? so careless. and he's never friendly when anyone comes up to him on the street, either in uniform or not. is more likely to brush someone away than stop and take a picture. in high school he was a little brat, too, with the way he spoke to his peers and didn't know respect if it slapped him in the face.

his poor partner. must be miserable to be with him all the time. they deserve better.

and if they know how he is? and how he acts to the people he's supposed to take care of? well, they must condone that kind of behavior, no? they're okay with him acting like that in public? what kind of morals do they have, anyway?

the other thing you don't know yet is that katsuki has been working every day. two shifts, sometimes, to the point that there's little more he does than eat and sleep and be dynamight. there's no free time. if any tries to make an appearance in his schedule—he's filling it with something, anything; going hiking, working out, cooking dinner for his shithead friends, not being at home.

whatever he's doing, he's not being at home.

yes, he got rid of everything he could that belonged to you. because he couldn't stand to look at it and know you weren't going to use it in his house again. can't stand it. refuses to, actually. is only putting one foot in front of the other, every day, and not really thinking about that weird, awful weight sitting in his gut, that feels dark and terrifying. he can't think about it. he's not bad at avoiding those kind of thoughts—he's done it before and he'll do it again.

and lastly—he's a fucking idiot.

Headcanon that Seven of Nine and Naomi actually find Neelix’s cooking to be fine because it’s the only food they’ve ever eaten/their first introduction to food and when they get to Earth everyone’s so excited to show them Alpha quadrant foods but neither of them likes anything they’re offered very much. Seven doesn’t really care either way except that she has to get used to a whole new palette and Naomi likes the obvious (Ex: candy, cake) but frequently complains that nothing tastes ‘right’. Naomi: -pushing away a slice of pizza- I don’t like it... Tom: You’re kidding me. You don’t like pizza? Naomi: It doesn’t taste right! Make it how Neelix used to. Tom: You want me to put gerhalorian beets and yuk mushrooms in the sauce so it congeals into a lumpy, slightly sour mess? Is that what you want, Naomi? Naomi: Yeah :(  I want Naomi and Icheb to work tirelessly together on a side project for years until finally doing it - being able to communicate clearly with those in the Delta quadrant! Icheb uses it to speak to the other borg children (now adults) and Naomi immediately uses it to call Neelix and ask him to find the nearest time portal and toss a big box of leola root into it. She’s been craving it for years! No one told her the Alpha quadrant didn’t have leola root, she wouldn’t have gone otherwise!

About your latest AU. But what will happen when Ben Kenobi likes the attentation that Vader gives him after Vader realizes that this isn't his Obi-wan? He likes the pretty fashion, (the power), the nice food, the obsession love that he gets from Vader (which he never got from his parents) and then Obi-wan hears that Vader founds a husband and is super confused (and jealous) because he thought Anakin would also only think about him.

i think mr big brother ben kenobi is too sane to really appreciate how fucked up vader is over his little brother - both obi-wan and vader are the sort of crazy that means they're the only ones that can deal with each other......

not to mention i think vader would be Weird about obi-wan having a brother that is not anakin skywalker because anakin skywalker didn't have a brother that isn't obi-wan kenobi so it's really only fair if the only brother obi-wan has is anakin. he can't just go get another brother now that anakin skywalker is dead that's not how it works!!!

(meanwhile big brother ben is composing a long, long list of all the things he needs to bring up to obi-wan as soon as he gets out of here and can throttle him for dragging him into his fucked up love life)

Our next fully nightmare level difficulty, and the final member of the little "Agtalia" family, Zahine! My baby has some romantic baggage, and its name is Mattias-- even in death, that man is still fucking things up for Zai. Specifically, the marriage caused a lot of paranoia and a periodic (but still pretty strong) mistrust in romantic relationships...which is unfortunate, because Zahine has always been a romantic person.

He was always the type that would place himself in the main character's place in romance books or movies-- hoping for one of those storybook-like loves to swoop in and sweep him off his feet. That's what he thought things were with Mattias, at first...and is why he's since given up on those sorts of things, more or less.

His expectations are a lot more grounded now on the outside, but with the right partner those romantic inclinations start to rise back up again and show in a lot of really sweet ways. It also means that if someone does romantic things to/for him, he'll react pretty well to them.

taino teachings are realigning my entire mindset. everything is. making more and more sense the more i read. Yoka hu (the father) and Ata Bey ( the mother) are both inside me . spiritually and physically. i have always said, for many years that i did not understand the concept of gender how this society is teaching it, because i am both my father and mother in body and spirit, but also wholly myself, and i need to respect myself, and how i've been feeling for so so long. it's all making so much sense.
