I didn’t have much to journal about yesterday so I just included some highlights ☺️

Various instances of "I have one of those faces" (i.e., random people tend to come up to me and start chatting/ask me things)

•Elderly man in Target, looking forlorn and frowning at the (empty) bottle of hair product he was holding as he looked through the entirety of one of the hair care aisles. Spots me. "My wife sent me here to get one of these..." Me: "there's another hair care aisle there" Man: "Oh thank you dear" and walks into the next aisle

•Woman probably in her 30s (could be anywhere between 20 and 60) at the craft store, in the journal/planner aisle. Spots me. "Hey have you heard of the fauxbonichi system?" Me, having just seen this on Reddit, "Yeah, I have a different kind of journal system but I've heard of it" Lady: "I'm trying to start one and I'm here to get inspired." Me: smiles and gradually drifts away

•Different lady, different craft store, different day, in the cricut/vinyl aisle: "Hey can I ask your opinion? Which pink (vinyl) should I get for these water bottles?" Me: "Hm...the sparkly one?" Her: "I actually might go with the other one. But thanks!"

•Yet another woman, 2 days ago, different craft store: "Hey, I'm trying to figure out an activity..." Me, knowing the drill by this point: "Sure, I might be able to help." Woman: describes her Bible study group. Me, knowing what this sub-section of women is typically into, suggests customizing blank journals with pens and stickers, and/or tie-dye. The woman is delighted. I mosey away before she can invite me to her Bible study.

Oh hi ✨

I have this weird things with needing to start a new blog for every iteration of “well now I’m going to stick with this for sho”. Partially because I can’t remember passwords to any of my previous tumblrs lmfao.

So I decided to post stuff here. For me tumblr is like a real authentic behind the scenes, as opposed to glamorous and slightly fake Instagram.

Instagram is like a cool friend who’s always on top of her shit and you’re kinda inspired to get your life together, but tumblr is a friend who you can wear stretched baggy clothes on and discuss aliens or latest thrift finds. There is sort of comfort in this and I love it here 😌

Hurricane Nicole is passing over florida right now. I think the stormy weather has me feeling very low energy the other day. But I got plenty of rest last night and the sun is beginning to shine this morning. Time to turn my mood around ☺️
