Lizzie Hearts x Robecca Steam propaganda (that no one asked for) :

Lizzie grew up as royalty. She was destined to rule over Wonderland. Meaning that her early childhood was spent learning about everything Wonderland to prepare her to be a great ruler and because of that and well, living in Wonderland she obviously loves it.

After Robecca was built, she joined her father in traveling across the Monster World. She spent time Transylvania and even visited the vampire court. Based on how she finishes Draculauara's sentences when talking about the court in Frights, Camera, Action! , time spent in Transylvania and having the Vampire Heart in her, she loves Transylvania.

Lizzie had to flee Wonderland after the Evil Queen's curse. This devastated her and in her diary and the show (especially right before they go to Wonderland and she gets an invitation to her mother's birthday) and doesn't especially have a way cope with leaving Wonderland and missing her mother except fashion.

Robecca and her father had to flee Transylvania. However, once her father started to get back to his teaching position at MH he vanished in the catacombs. This left Robecca devastated and she would often look for him in the catacombs to no avail. The only thing that really helped her cope with her loss was rollerblading.

I think if Lizzie and Robecca met they would bond over losing their parents. They would probably meet after Robecca's father came back, and right before Lizzie went to Wonderland. Robecca, sympathizing with this would definitely encourage Lizzie to share stories about Wonderland and her mother. Robecca would even take Lizzie rollerblading on their first date (something Lizzie has never really done before) after Lizzie started expressing interest on how she dealt with her father disappearing.

Lizzie would totally make matching outfits for the two of them because steampunk/blue and the more royal playing cards/red aesthetics blend beautifully together.

You were pulling out boxes full of holiday decorations when you heard Robecca jet in, Penny the penguin tucked firmly under her arm

She curiously asked what you were doing, to which you cheerfully responded in turn, saying that you were simply pulling out some items so you could decorate your place for the holidays

She swiftly set Penny down on the floor, her face lighting up as bright as a string of lights you would find on a tree

“Oh, lovely! Do you mind if I join? I can be of great help with putting up things in those hard to reach places”

You smiled warmly while accepting her offer to help, showing her the kind of stuff you had and telling her where you planned on putting it

Robecca chatted gleefully as she assisted you with decorating, fondly recalling all the winters she spent with her father before he disappeared

When it came the time to place the star on top of the tree, she hoisted you up on her shoulders and used her rocket boots to fly you close enough to the top so you could set it up there yourself

The two of you stood back in awe once you were finally done, taking in how gorgeous (or tacky, depending on how you decided to decorate) everything was and admiring your handywork

“If you don’t mind, Robecca, I’d like to spend every holiday season with you. And Penny too, of course”

Robecca squealed happily as she lifted you up into a giant hug, your words making her eyes light up with joy at the thought of getting to do this with you every year

Cupid had been told - warned, really - when she'd transferred. By her father, by Headmaster Grimm, by Headmistress Bloodgood. She was forbidden to say anything about Monster High in Ever After High. She could speak in generic terms, speak of her friends, but not say what they were, that most of them weren't human. She could speak of her old school, and the activities, but not exactly what they did, the classes, the location. She had to make a conscious effort to drop phrases like "clawsome" from her vocabulary; picking up all the new Ever After slang was a pain, but she did what she had to to try to fit in, to pretend she'd lived in Ever After all her life.

She'd thought that not saying anything about her old school would be easy. Why would she need to tell her new friends about her old ones? They didn't, and would never, know each other. She hadn't even known anyone in Ever After yet.

But now she did. Now she knew plenty of people in Ever After. And oh, how she wished she could tell them about Monster High.

She wished she could tell them that she knew of a place, far away from here, yet easy to get to if you knew how, that was her second home in a way Ever After High still wasn't.

She wished she could tell Raven that she knew of a place where she wouldn't be dreaded as the Evil Queen's daughter, but welcomed as only another witch's daughter, and she knew Raven would revel in it.

She wished she could tell Cedar that she knew of a place where the wooden girl wouldn't feel fake, false, unreal, and alone; where she'd be welcomed by other simulacrums as one of their own - Frankie, Robecca, Rochelle - who would share advice and offer friendship to another simulacrum in a monstrous normie world.

She wished she could tell Ramona and her father that she knew of a place where werewolves ran free under the full moon; while bound by the same civilization rules as all the other monsters in New Salem, of course, they were free to shift and change into their wolf forms, to hunt their prey and howl their joy without stigma or shame or difficulty.

She wished she could tell Cerise - well, she didn't know what she could tell Cerise, but the quiet girl was hiding something under her hood, and Cupid was sure that she would blossom in Monster High, just like so many others.

She wished she could tell Ashlynn and Hunter that she knew of another star-crossed couple that had made things work, despite the ancestral hatred that both their peoples had for each other, that had ended the hatred, that were determined to stay together despite the odds - and had succeeded.

She wished she could tell everyone that she knew of a place where they all could be free to follow their destinies, or not, simply as they chose, where there was no Storybook of Legends to bind them.

But she couldn't. She couldn't tell any of them.

quinten: twyla, spectra, and frankie i think. spectra cuz she’s messy and frankie just cuz shes sweet, but i think he’d relate to twyla the most and she would probably be his most favorite.

charlie: cleo weirdly? you totally expect him to say some off the wall answer like he always does, but he just says cleo. he thinks she’s neat and likes her personality. he also thinks monster high is way cooler than mlp. buying you hundreds of dolls to the point u have to get multiple shelf’s to display them all :( u keep telling him u don’t have enough room but he’s not listening.

nikolai: draculara. i think he’d be less annoying about it being obvious and offensive like astarion is, he’d just like the fact there’s a vampire character from transylvania (it intrigues him) and he’d probably yap to you about different aspects of his own life and things like that. idk i just think it’s cute to think about him feeling connected to her and represented.

hook: probably cleo tbh. also catty noir cuz of her aesthetic, he likes the dark colors.

Monster High: Robecca Steam —Aesthetic

Robecca Steam's Character & Personality

Robecca is a one hundred sixteen year old robot. She was built at the end of the ninteenth century by Hexiciah Steam, a renowned mad scientist. Robecca is a polite girl. She makes sure to always stay proper and organized. Despite this, she's a lover of adrenaline being built with great strength, speed and agility. Robecca is a professional stuntwoman who can impress any crowd. As an avid athlete, she's fair, observant and courageous. Robecca's experience in sports makes her wary of others' needs and faults. Despite her struggle to take a pacifist route in life, she can be passionate and quite hot-headed when things don't go her way. Robecca usually vessels this trait towards following people's rights. As a feminist, she supports female empowerment and the inclusion of women in the social agenda. This influenced Robecca's decision to step outside boundaries and venture into the world of SKRM. There, she became a legend in the sport. Beyond this, Robecca's mind has been kind of a mess ever since she was dismantled. She's unable to keep track of time and is a bit clumsy. In addition, Robecca's memory is fragmented. She forgets major events in her life and only remembers them as feelings of nostalgia, which she mostly doesn't recognize. Additionally, Robecca lives in the past. She's comfortable using outdated equipment, resorting only to typewriters over computers and candles over electric light. Robecca dislikes modern technology and can't adapt to the newest gadgets. Thus, she always goes the old-fashioned way. Nonetheless, if they can't be avoided, Robecca adapts to them easily. She doesn't seem too upset about being an orphan because she enjoys her new life! Yet, Robecca's true weakness is patina and becoming emotional when she misses her father.

I was reading your ao3 work… and you said you wanted to add blue highlights to Argo after seeing Marla

I had the exact same idea for Nolan

He has red dyes in black hair for now

The blue streaks were an old idea I had somewhat forgotten about. Argo's actually a very old OC of mine; his creation dates back to around 2017-2018. He's gone through a LOT of changes over the years, but I have always liked the idea of bringing back the blue streaks. His design is heavily inspired by Robecca Steam from Monster High (shout out to @chessmaton for helping me remember this), but there were other design choices I considered before settling on his final look.

Which is funny because a few of the ideas I had ended up being used for other OCs. I thought about giving him purple eyes, which ended up being given to his father, Santiano. Likewise, I almost made him Romanian before going the Italian route and that went to his other father, Răzvan! I'll bring in the blue streaks in at some point since I think it adds to Argo's design!

And... I'm rambling now! Sorry about that!😅

I always enjoy coloured hair, even if I don't dye my own. I bet the red streaks look good in Nolan's hair!

Alright! Here are a few of my reboot ideas for some iconic ghouls!

Rochelle Goyle:

I wanted to give her a cleft chin and a cleft lip! Ramped up those stone texture freckles to 10000% and then added some animal feet. I just put her in her basic G1 outfit because I can't think of anything else. She's a transfer student from Scaris and is transfem! She has a massive crush on Garrott du Roque (and he has a massive crush on her). Rochelle can be found monster watching on the roof of Monster High and is known for being a strict hall monitor! (She/Her, straight)

Robecca Steam:

Tall girl!! I actually think the outfit I designed for her leans close to G1 Operetta, but oh well (my G3 Operetta's outfit looks totally different). Her outfit has some steampunk flair. I wanted to tie her curly hair back into two long braids because a lot of the G3 ghouls have pretty similar hair silhouettes (obviously because having long, brushable hair is a good idea for fashion dolls). Also braces! Idk how any of this would translate onto a doll. Robecca was originally from Londoom and her girlfriend is Elissabat (they're constantly sending each other letters). Robecca is a history buff and especially adores old movies (from both the human and monster realm). Her father is human (Hexiciah Steam, of course). (She/Her, lesbian)

Operetta:

I wanted to give my ghoul an outfit I would like to cosplay because she's my favorite MH character. Also, big baggy jeans, my beloved. I really liked the idea that Operetta's mask is connected to a hearing aid, so that's also canon now. Operetta can be found in the rafters of Monster High's theater and they're the ultimate theater techie! She likes playing pranks and is somehow besties with Twyla (lurking buddies). (She/They, Aro/Ace)

She’s been a close friend of my father’s since before I had my first set of blueprints. Monster high simply wouldn’t be the same without her. She’s the perfect balance of heart and head, literally. I think the whole student disembody can agree she’s what makes this school our home

Why is Robecca in Hell? What did she do? 👀

partook in her father's activities when she was a child and into her teen years before eloping with her husband. She had no idea what fucked up things her dad was doing behind the scenes, but because she was by technicality, an accomplice in his... hobby, she was damned to hell. Sort of going to show how sometimes you think you do everything right and still there are things out of your control that will be judged. Sort of like how in The Good Place the way people's "sins" are tallied is by impact and not intention.

There is another who works with spirits/ghosts, his work may have helped in the relationship between spirits/ghosts and the material world and technologies

I think a lot of lodgers tinker around with steampunk stuff, but what comes to mind is Miss Flowers and her robot bugs! I haven’t refreshed in Robecca lore, but there definitely is some interesting things one can play around with if a lodger inspired her creation

It’s really cool to think of what inventions the lodgers have made seeping into Jackson and Holt’s time, you’re talking about Dr. Maijabi with his study with ghosts and spirits I think!

Have been going back and forth between rococo & steampunk in my mind... how I love both. I remember liking steampunk as a baby (6) & then they released Robecca Steam & I squealed. What a shame that it's considered dead. That doesn't mean one can't look back at it, many of the things I like are considered dead. What other things do I like... well, gothic architecture (though what is referred to as gothic in general are things I tend to enjoy) is lovely. I like the Victorian period a lot, as well as Japanese fashion that's inspired by other time periods from different countries. I like brown and pink and cream and green... & red and black and gold. I suppose I am, quote, "just like every other bitch". I can appreciate anything and find beauty in a lot of things. Such as blood. Well, I was thinking about other cute things before typing that, but blood & bruises too, I suppose that works. I've had quite the interest in Kinbaku-bi, especially as of late. And of course... deer & dollies. I love the snow, I long to be able to feel it against my skin again someday, I haven't in over a decade. I like art, you already know that—there are so many things one can even consider art. I like music, and language... and chocolates, and humanity. I like... I like history, as a subject. What else do I like? I like so many things. I like you, a lot. I don't like the passage of time, but I have grown more comfortable with the idea of death, I no longer break down thinking about it and wondering if I will go to hell as I did when I was a child. Oh, I like mortuary, funerary and mourning related subjects, and lobotomies (in a respectful, scientific & historic fascination way, as well a weird way that doesn't translate to reality). I like surgery, as a metaphor for intimacy and the trust one must put into another to allow them to open their body up, and take care of their quivering heart. This post became a ramble about the things I like, so what else do I like...? I like kittens, and cold days where the sun still manages to keep you warmth amidst the chilly breeze. I like lily of the valley, forget me nots, roses and hydrangeas. I like tight, closed spaces, to burrow away in. I like being on my lonesome. I like feeling physical weight atop of me in any sense, it makes me feel complete and comfortable and as though everything has clicked into place. Even if it is 14 pounds of raw meat in a box which leaves me unable to feel my legs, or my father's body when he comes to my room to say hello. I like... small things, little things that I can hold in my hands. I like sweets. I like stuffed animals, soft bed comforters. The tender glow of warm lighting. I like the birth of everything around me, and I love the rot.

Which Monster high ghoul is ur fav?

Oh man this is a really hard question hnnnghh well I’m gonna narrow it down to the main ghouls just to keep things simple. Clawdeen was my absolute FAVORITE as a kid I was in love with her every time I saw her I was like CLAWDEEEN 😻 and I gotta be real I’d say 80% of the reason was just because she was purple coded lol and I thought her outfit was really cute I still really want those purple boots alskla

But looking at the characters now i thiiiink I’m gonna change my answer to Cleo. I think she’s really funny lol like my favorite mh movie has always been Friday night frights and in that one she literally contributes nothing to the plot she doesn’t even join the skating team she just inserts herself into the fashion montage and just chills the rest of practice. I also think her story in ghouls rule was really good honestly like there’s just a combination of her being pressured by her family and being kinda forced to push away Deuce because her family doesn’t approve of him and I think there’s just an interesting spin on their relationship in that movie cuz they’re like initially this cliche popular kid couple that you’d think is gonna break up because in the beginning there was hints that Deuce and Frankie were gonna be a thing and Cleo was gonna be the evil mean girl but in ghouls rule it’s really funny cuz it’s just shown that Deuce is literally like friends with everyone walking down the hallway saying sup nonstop and Cleo is shown to actually really really love him but she’s scared of her father so it puts strain on the relationship. It’s also interesting how she sells out her fellow monster to make her family look superior but then she has to learn to break away from their shitty customs cuz hey maybe knocking down the people you should be allying with is bad actually. So yeah she’s pretty funny and slays spectacularly but also she’s just pretty cool too 💙💙

As for other ghouls I really love shoutout to Ghoulia shes my fashion inspiration, Abbey I had a big crush on her, Cupid I liiiiike cant even with how insane I am about her design it’s so fucking cute, Twyla cuz autism yay, Lagoona just cuz she’s really nice and has pretty hair, ROCHELLE + ROBECCA + VENUS THE TRANS THROUPLE OF ALL TIME
