Fate/stay night REMASTERED announced for Switch, PC

Publisher Aniplex and developer TYPE-MOON have announced Fate/stay night REMASTERED, a remastered version of the PS Vita Title Fate/stay night Realta Nua for Switch and PC (Steam). It will launch in 2024 worldwide with English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language support.

Hello! I’ve noticed no one has done this so I decided to compile a full list of all the differences between the original fate/stay night and the remastered version.

I primarily tried to focus on big translation changes and it was really fun to write. If I missed anything please mention it so I can add it!

So the new Fate/Stay Night remaster... it still has a good amount of small bugs here and there, but still.

I'm willing to look past the occasional sprite bug and typo if only because this is still SOOOOOO much better of a translation than what we had with the Mirror Moon TL:

Finally got to Fate Stay Night's infamous Dragon Scene. I have mixed feelings about it; on its own it was interesting, but it just isn't followed up on. Shirou and Saber aren't acting like "Shirou saw the force of pure Hunger and Superhuman Power at the core of Saber's soul and it took a bigger chunk out of Shirou than Saber wanted", i'd expect Saber to keep feeling ashamed while Shirou shrugged it off at first. The vibe is much more "they just had sex that neither of them wanted despite their growing attraction to each other", they're both feeling super awkward around each other especially when it comes to touch, both feeling shamed

Alright people of tumblr i need your opinions, I've been under the impression that I should wait for a H-patch for Fsn Remastered before playing it (they're the original experience!) but ive also seen a buncha people saying those scenes suck bad and arent necessary for the story.

Fate/stay night REMASTERED launches August 8 - Gematsu

Fate/stay night REMASTERED will launch digitally for Switch and PC via Steam on August 8 for 3,500 yen worldwide, publisher Aniplex and developer TYPE-MOON announced. It will support English, Japanese, and Simplified Chinese language options.

A remastered version of Fate/stay night, fantasy action drama visual novel and TYPE-Moon’s first-ever commercial release in 2004, will be released for its 20th anniversary. The remaster is based on the 2012 PS Vita release of Fate/stay night Realta Nua, featuring series-first adaptation into languages such as English and Simplified Chinese, as well as graphics and animations rendered in full high-definition. Experience in vivid detail the story of Shirou Emiya, a teenage boy with dreams of becoming a Hero of Justice, and his battle revolving around the omnipotent wish-granting vessel, the Holy Grail. Story

The Holy Grail War. A ritual held in Fuyuki City by magi grasping to reach the Root. Seven magi, known as Masters, gather to compete over possession of the Holy Grail, which possesses the power to fulfill any of its bearer’s wishes. They fight other Masters for supremacy by summoning Heroic Spirits, known as Servants, called upon by the Holy Grail. However, throughout the past four Holy Grail Wars, history has yet to see a single victor. During the Fourth Holy Grail War ten years ago, Shirou Emiya was saved from amidst the fires of war by the self-proclaimed mage Kiritsugu Emiya. The young Shirou started living with Kiritsugu and persistently asked for instruction in magecraft, much to the mage’s disapproval. On the night prior to Kiritsugu’s death, Shirou promised his adoptive father that he’ll become a Hero of Justice. Fast forward to the present. On one quiet eve, Shirou gets involved in the Holy Grail War and is assailed by a Servant. Just as the glint of steel threatens to take his life, a girl clad in knightly armor appears to stop the fatal attack. The Servant, who came to the rescue of the would-be Hero of Justice, and the Master, saved by the Heroic Spirit of the Sword; their fates are in motion…
