#you can tell that hytopia is a fashion capital because legato's outfit doesn't have pockets. truly the worst timeline 😔#the poor photographer...dude was just trying to get a cool shot of the heroes setting off on a new adventure #and then these little jerks saw the camera and called everyone over to pose for a photo #i tried to roughly frame it with the dimensions that the in-game photos use #just rotated vertically #fun little detail about tfh: each lobby is slightly different‚ so if you reference the wrong one you'll have to go back and fix it later #i spent longer than I care to admit deciding the hair colors for everyone #my art #lu doppelgänger au #lu wind #lu four #lu hyrule #lu legend #lu wild #lu twilight #lu time #lu warriors #lu sky

A Wind-Grieved Ghost explores the influence of medieval Noh theater on the striking costume worn by Ganondorf in The Wind Waker. I explain the symbolism of Ganondorf’s gorgeously patterned robes and argue that the sartorial allusions to Noh theater serve to characterize Ganondorf as a frightening yet tragic ghost displaced from the vanished kingdom of Hyrule.

Cyberpunk'd Legend of Zelda - Link. I'm doing a little project in which I'm making Cyberpunk-ish designs of the LoZ characters. Starting of course with our green-clad hero. I imagined that he wouldn't wear overly fancy things, since he wears traditionally simple garb in-game. The Master Sword could be embedded in his arm.

I did put a few visual references in this design that relate to Link - can you find them all? :)

Continuing my series of botw redesigns, I'm working on my boyfriend Revali!

#i'm always nervous posting character designs #especially redesigns of canon characters #since the rito arent based on any specific indigenous american tribe #and theres lots of conflicting details #i decided to follow the heart of the cards and base it off the tribe i'm descended from #combining choctaw patterns with the fashion that's popular in Hyrule #his leather cuirass is based on the design of the cuirass in the hylian tunic #and also trying to take into account that his clothes should be designed with flight and archery in mind #putting the quiver within reach of his feet so he can shoot without using his wigns #and pinning his scarf with a sunburst medallion that pins to his tunic #i also opted not to include the red cheek spots. ✌️#i've been putting so much thought into the rito #like i want them to have more of a farming culture than they do in the game #farming grains and such #prevalent basket weavers and beaders #thefaeriecreekart #loz #project rewild #revali #botw #rewild revali #zelda fanart #anyway good chance this will be how i draw him from here on out-#look. i know totk has been out for months now. i know revalis gone. but i still love him i want him back
