could you talk more on wade not being able to say "I love you" all the time? it makes sense to me, but I wanna hear your thought process

Ahh thanks so much for the ask! It's been a second since I was in that headspace I need to remember my exact thoughts at the time..

I think for my Wade, certain kinds of vulnerability have become a huge struggle for him. While I think the movie reason that Vanessa broke up with him didn't make any sense imo (even if from a doylist perspective I can understand it), it really exemplified those struggles.

There are days where Wade won't feel worthy of that love, or he struggles to accept that it's something he can have and feel and process that feeling.

Meanwhile my Logan is the kind of man who's going to say it all the time because he sees no reason he shouldn't say exactly what he's thinking and feeling lol even if Wade isn't in a place to return it

While the urge to kill each other has faded it’s translated into tension between them hot and wet enough to grow orchids, and it’s taken the willpower of gods to keep them from fucking nasty about it. They're managing. The thing is, Wade doesn’t want to manage anymore. Wade drags Logan out on a little heist hoping to finally get him to make a move.

one of my favourites!! this is mostly smut but also some of the best characterisation of wade i've ever read and SO FUNNY. i giggled through the whole thing. sometimes humour in fics falls flat but not this time

i feel like recommending this series is a must tbh. only two fics in here so far and the second one is still updating but both are just. SO good. the first one is more wade-and-his-issues-centric and the second is more logan

time loop fics are so hard to execute well and this was just perfect. typical emotional toll of being stuck in a time loop is taken on wade so there's Angst

Wade wasn't fond of change. Both in the life sense as well as the coin sense. So they might have to move houses? Okay. Sure, his tummy hurt a little more than usual when he thought too hard about it, but he could move past that. Would move past that. Eventually. Probably. Most likely not. Probably not at all. Wade didn't do change.

GODDDD i love this fic. it is so gorgeously written i think i have some parts screenshotted which is how you know it's good. brilliant exploration of both wade and logan

In which something very interesting happens underneath the Time Ripper, and Wade and Logan deal with the aftermath.

no idea how to explain this but their minds kind of get intertwined??? ish?? and it's so fucking good the writing is just impeccable. angst and smut galore

Panties.

now this may seem like it's mostly smut and you would be right. but it is goddamn good smut (with a dash of angst) and just such an alluring read. their other fics are also just as good

5. Story with the most: Kudos: tingling right from my head to my toes Bookmarks: Yesterday’s gone (it’ll be better than before) Comments: Yesterday’s gone (it’ll be better than before)

6. Work I’m most proud of (and why): i think it's actually tingling right from my head to my toes. i dug around my blog and found 'Writing Goals 2024' and one was to write for other fandoms (again). it took me almost all year, but i managed it!

7. Work I’m least proud of (and why): in some ways, i'm proud of all my works and thankful how they shaped me in their own way.

8. Share or describe a favourite review you received: this is not a specific review but i've had a couple people by now tell me how much they enjoy listening to my podfics (and how they find my voice soothing). that really means a lot and i'm happy people get that enjoyment out of my recordings

9. A time when writing was really, really hard: basically all year. i've been struggling a lot with writer's block and even though i was writing and posting, it felt like i lost my Spark™️.

10. A scene or character you wrote that surprised you: writing Logan (Worst Wolverine). beginning of the year i didn't even imagine to ever write Wade in another pairing besides SpideyPool but then i watched Deadpool & Wolverine and here we are XD

11. A favourite excerpt of your writing: this is from my fic for the @1daroaceficfest which i hold very close to my heart. i kinda hope that maybe some people remember that :)

“Not that it concerns anyone,” he started, a hard set to his mouth. “And I would really wish that people would start seeing actors as people and not just objects used like props in a film.” Harry took a deep breath, outwardly oddly calm for the way his heart was racing in the face of what he was about to do. “Furthermore, I’d like to remind everyone that some people don’t have sex. And while there can be different reasons for that, that only they and the people they choose to tell are privy to, in my case, it is because I am asexual. I don’t experience sexual attraction. And while I feel rather neutral towards sex, I still don’t have it. It’s just something I don’t experience. So please, the next time you want to ask someone about their sex life, stop for a second and ask yourself, do I really need to know this information, or am I just nosy? And then hopefully make the right decision.”

12. How did you grow as a writer this year: i like to think i kept a nice balance between trying to overcome my writer's block while also not forcing anything... and eventually found my Spark™️ again. i also got back into the SpideyPool/Marvel Fandom for which i ended up writing 3 fics.

13. How do you hope to grow next year: i really wanna try keep my Spark™️ and maybe even make it grow. also, i hope to actually plan out/write a longer fic again; i have so many amazing prompts that can't and don't deserve to get squeezed into 10K.

14. Who was your greatest positive influence this year as a writer (could be another writer or beta or cheerleader or muse etc etc): massive, massive thanks goes to @harruandlou who patiently listened to me whine about my WB, kept encouraging me and celebrated with me, when i got back into the swing of things (and who supported me in pursues as a Podficcer!). i also wanna give a huge shout out to the Isn't It Bromantic? server and all those amazing people there (representative: @farmhandler @waterme-stories @babyboysnek)

15. Anything from your real life show up in your writing this year: i don't think so? at least nothing i can think of top of my head...

16. Any new wisdom you can share with other writers: don't force anything. (especially in fanfic) writing is supposed to be fun. it's okay to take a break, focus on other hobbies for a while and every now and then poke at your brain to see if the motivation came back.

17. Any projects you’re looking forward to starting (or finishing) in the new year: as of right now, the only project i'm excited for is hosting the @1daroaceficfest for a second round!

Luffy takes a sip and gulps, feeling the warm creamy liquid seeping down his throat and warming his whole body. “So good!!” he can feel Zoro’s eyes zoning in on his bobbing larynx, “Ahh...”

Luffy blinks again as Zoro only stares back with a fond smile, hand still holding the cup. 

“You can let go now, Zoro.”

like not gonna lie if a short and to the point answer that isn’t otherwise rude makes you literally cry, I don’t think the problem is the person who answered

As I said before, it all comes down to how people interpret my tone based on what I wrote. I just hope people don’t put the blame on me if they misinterpret it and misunderstood my intention.

Hi i was curious about Wade’s crystals, like where did you get the idea, and does he believe in like healing properties or anything or does he just like shiny things

Hey anon!! thanks for the ask 😊 I don't remember exactly how it came to me, but I'm sure part of the inspiration came from having a sister who does have a huge collection of various crystals (and I was able to use her as a reference for that if I needed to/ask questions).

Wade doesn't actually believe in any of the healing properties etc., he just like the shinies!

Sorry if you’ve already said somewhere but my memory is shit and I’m curious: does your Wade (like in the broken men series) have chronic pain? As far as I can remember i think his problems are more mental than physical? (I don’t mind either way btw I love the series ❤���❤️❤️❤️)

Hi anon!! Thanks for the ask 😊 Yes he does! I didn't end up putting much focus on it, so it's only very briefly mentioned in chapter 5 and 11 of Come Hell or High Water. In chapter 5 it's more direct when Logan mentions how Wade smells

Scent was a weird thing. Logan could at times smell when others were happy, sad, or angry; he could tell a lot just from a person’s smell. Wade often smelled like he was in pain. Logan couldn’t imagine how he felt on a daily basis when that scent never changed.

In It's Just Chemistry it is heavily implied several times but I think it's easy to miss the implication with all the other heavy goings-on.

The next part...when it's finished, which might be a minute...there is more direct acknowledgement!
