🍠 - what are your opinions on the Rengoku family, and how Kyojuro was raised?

Honestly? I’ve always felt that Ruka and Shinjuro did a lot of damage to Kyojuro. Ruka instilled the value that the lives of others were much more important than his own, and Shinjuro abandoned him when he needed it most 🥺

Kyojuro has tried to be there for Senjuro the way his father used to be, but, with his missions taking him away from home, he’s more distant than he’d like. He wishes more than anything that his father would come back, and blames himself for not being able to ‘save’ Shinjuro. Lol very messed up.

I do think in an AU where his parents live, his hero complex is way better-adjusted, because he grows up with people he can safely rely on… but for now he doesn’t know how to depend on others!!! Tanjiro will have to be a pillar he can lean on 🥺

It was so clear that Tanjiro looked up to Kyojuro, and his voice was SO SOFT when talking to him… ah ah, it makes my heart sing. And the way tanjiro WEPT when Kyojuro was dying… you do not ghibli cry like that unless you’re a little gay for the guy dying. Sorry I don’t make the rules.

Their on-screen chemistry was instant and deep, and now I ship them! There’s no going back. I’m past the point of no return.

Logan picked up Wade's coat and hung both on the rack. He walked over to Wade who was still kissing Mary Puppins's head in repeated affection. "You had a good time? I wasn't sure you'd like it."

"Oh, I hate bowling. I haven't been since I thought I was straight," Wade said. "But watching you work so hard and shake that little tush to impress me was so adorable. And we had the whole place to ourselves!"

Wade wearing his full suit might have had something to do with that. Not that Logan had been complaining.

"Were you impressed?" Logan asked, only half teasing. He walked over to the fridge and pulled out a couple of drinks.

Wade cocked his head like he was thinking about it. "If I could remember what an impressive bowling score was, I'm sure I would have been. My eyes were on your ass for ninety percent of night. Why did you want to go to a bowling alley anyway?"

Logan tapped the drink to the back of Wade's head and dropped it in his hand. Wade immediately unscrewed the cap and lifted his mask to start drinking it.

"Holy fuck, that's so good," he gushed. "What is this?" He looked at the label.

"It's new, I think? Thought you might like it," Logan said. He scratched his neck. "You kept saying you were craving chocolate the other day."

He shrugged while Wade watched him, sipping on his drink.

"Are you having a mid-nearly-immortal-life crisis?" Wade asked.

Logan turned to him, brow furrowed. "What? No."

"Yesterday you gave me that Hello Kitty keychain you 'thought I would like'. And last week you brought in a bunch of outfits for Mary Puppins to try on out of fucking nowhere and the whole day became a photoshoot sesh, which you normally hate."

"One of the X-Men was getting rid of them," Logan said.

"You've been dropping random shit in my lap for weeks. And last week we went thrifting for four hours and you didn't complain even once."

Logan hadn't thought he'd been keeping track.

"And now bowling? What's up, peanut? Are you dying?"

Logan sipped his drink quietly for a second. "Wanted to take you out. I always liked bowling. Makes for a solid date spot."

Wade ripped off his mask and just stared at him.

"Date? That was a date?"

Wade slapped his hands over his mouth.

"Holy fuck. You've been wining and dining me? That taco truck you tracked down for me three days ago after we took care of that warehouse situation...Logan!"

Logan lifted his shoulders like it wasn't a big deal. It really wasn't.

"You sneaky little motherfucker. Is this your plot to make me fall in love with you?" Wade stood up and marched over. "Because it'll work! Food trucks after doing a bunch of murder is my weakness. But you should know..."

He stopped in front of Logan and walked his fingers up his chest. Logan snatched his hand and shifted closer, wrapping his arm around Wade's waist.

"What?" he said lowly.

"I'm wearing my rubber masturbating shoes," Wade whispered loudly. "Meet me in the bedroom after you shower. We are not fucking while you smell like a bowling alley."

Logan leaned his head forward, chuckling. His head bumped into Wade's, so all it took was a shift in angle to meet his mouth in a kiss.

The One Where Logan and Wade Learn How to be Boyfriends (series), ashe_urbanipal Literally you could not describe a story/series in a way more designed to push all my most favorite buttons. They have to figure this shit OUT!! It's MESSY!!! And they keep TRYING and getting gradually, unevenly better at it, mostly!!! The love confessions happen in the first fic in the series and then we get into the MEAT of it all. Brain damage, jealousy, trauma, and intense relationship-repairing conversations while having fingers cut off. This series has it ALL.

Come Hell or High Water, farmhandler Another wonderfully messy long fic that acknowledges these guys need serious therapy. The deep affection and intense frustration are both so REAL, it makes me so happy.

Blood, Dirt, Love (Stop), por_queeee The relationship issues are resolved without TOO much difficulty here but they're definitely present, and also this fic has my absolute favorite take so far on Logan's X-Men-related trauma and how that might play out for him.

Don't Want To Be A Fool For You, HeavensAche This is just deliciously complicated and messy and beautiful. Like honestly I could list specific things but if you want the slow tangled process of them figuring their shit out, this DELIVERS.

Like a Little Prayer, whiskeywitch This one is very short but it's probably my favorite take on the "Logan skewers Wade during a nightmare" scenario. Intense but understated, not easily fully resolved.

It's Not Fucking Nice, Thestarvedghost I really enjoy this exploration of how Logan's two hundred years of issues and damage would weigh heavy on his relationship with Wade, no matter how much they love each other. A really interesting way to bring Logan's Victor issues into it, too. (Me being me, I should probably specify that this contains NO sibling incest, just deeply abusive and unhealthy relationship dynamics.)

While the urge to kill each other has faded it’s translated into tension between them hot and wet enough to grow orchids, and it’s taken the willpower of gods to keep them from fucking nasty about it. They're managing. The thing is, Wade doesn’t want to manage anymore. Wade drags Logan out on a little heist hoping to finally get him to make a move.

one of my favourites!! this is mostly smut but also some of the best characterisation of wade i've ever read and SO FUNNY. i giggled through the whole thing. sometimes humour in fics falls flat but not this time

1: Three Ships

My top ships always change depending on my mood and vibes of the day but currently, its-

1. BowUigi - I shipped them together since middle school, and when I told my friends about the ship they called it dumb - Not knowing years later it’ll be the biggest ship of 2023

2. Cheesecake (Noisette/Vigilante) I like it both for its angst and comedic potential.

3. Lately been digging into Great Tiger/Aran Ryan (Seen people call them CatNip before but unsure if that's their ship name). I just like a good friends to lovers deal :p

2: First Ever Ship

God, the earliest I remember is - as embarrassing as it sounds - Chica and Bonnie from FNAF. I’m sure there’s an early one but this was the one I remember the most. Unsure how it started really did know that this ship is what introduced me to the existence of furries so take that what you will.

I do remember my first queer ship and it was Bush Medicine [Sniper n Medic] - I absolutely shipped these two together, I drew them constantly in sketchbooks n school notebooks and, more horrifying, homework. It’s a blessing I never got in trouble. I’m sure if I dig through one of my sketchbooks from middle school one of the first things I’ll see is Bush Medicine. Still like it though Im more of a SolDic guy now of days

Currently been listening to The Offspring and their songs. I think the last one of theirs I listened to was Self Esteem

I wanna say … Return to Oz (1985). Good mixture of spooky and fun.

5: Currently Reading

I go on and off reading but currently been reading, Fanfiction wise: Spoken, Not Said by FarmHandler: a nice slow burn Hades fic holding me over till Hades 2 comes out. As for physical copies I been reading Good Omens - had the book for a long time collecting dust so I been reading that whenever I have nothing to do.

I think the most recent show I watched is Hajime no Ippo

Been sick so my dinner for the last few days have just been apple sauce.

Last show: I’m guessing this means the last TV show I watched, which was Marvel’s: The Punisher. And let me say, it kicks so much ass!

Currently watching: My Hero Academia. I write about it in my free time and have never watched it before, so I feel like it would make me a better writer if I were to actually watch the source material.

Currently reading: Hatchet by Gary Paulsen. It’s my comfort book that I read when I’m having some hard times.

Current obsession: Wanna hear about how Saints Row 2 is a masterpiece that deserved a better sequel that whatever the FUCK the third game was. Look I don’t have time to yell why it’s bad just watch this video
