Farmer’s Market Meal: it still counts if it’s liquid right!? Nothing warms me up better than a hot cappuccino during my 7am dog walk 🙄🙄 this tasty beverage was made with @oatly full fat oat milk and @newhaventeacoffee ground dark roast I’m very particular about my dark roast especially if it’s pre-ground. This was LITERALLY THE PERFECT GRIND for my espresso machine. It has a lovely smell when you crack open the bag, reminiscent of molasses. And the flavor is akin to dark chocolate. Today’s Farmer’s Market meal is a little unconventional Good food is not the only thing you can find at a farmer’s market. Sometimes the best finds are friendship! Tonight’s meal was brought together by generosity and kindness! The tortillas, pickled jalapeños, cotija cheese, & oaxaca cheese were all gifted to me to help me make some AMAZING (for a gringa) quesadillas. They were gifted by the wonderful humans who regularly bring me FANTASTIC authentic Mexican food to share with my husband (mostly... he doesn’t need to know about today’s tamale 😬) Squash blossoms are from @rosesberryfarm Maitake mushrooms from @seacoastmushrooms So. While it’s still cool out despite being spring, we took the opportunity for a #marketmeal beef stew. First we marinaded short ribs from @julieshappyhens in #tastetease leftover #caramelizedonionandgarlicjelly and #ghostpepperjelly overnight before slow roasting them on the grill.
