LUCY Keeps The Youth Fire Burning In "Fever"
Fantagio Entertainment / Vine Entertainment / BH Entertainment If you’re a Kpopmap reader, you might’ve noticed articles about K-Pop idols who share the same name being posted regularly. It is quite common to discover K-Pop idols who share the same name, especially as more and more idols debut each year. It’s fascinating to see which idols have names in common, too. While writing these articles,…

pairing: johnny x reader
genre/warning: fluff, magic!au
word count: 3k
description: you hated him. his stupid face smiling. his stupid charisma that would always woo the customers - of which you had no doubt was aided by the use of magic. his stupid cousin - that you actually adored and would kill to have him even notice you, but who continuously chose johnny over you for assistance. and most of all you hated how your lungs forgot their one job whenever he was within 5 feet of you.
a/n: from the essem: rosemary by moonlight universe. not necessary to read that first, but some things may not make complete sense.
Tumblr media
"I'd like an iced caramel Frappuccino with low fat milk and a pump of pep. To go." The customer rattles off her order as she approaches the counter, never sparing you a greeting or even a glance. From her clean-cut bob to her khaki shorts and salmon button down, you know exactly how this conversation is going to go.
Contorting your cheeks into your best customer service smile and using your most pleasant tone, you inform her, "I'm sorry ma'am, but any drinks with magical add-ins must be consumed within the cafe."
Now, she glances at you, her wallet poised in her hand as her face falls into what you refer to as the entitled scowl. "Excuse me?"
“Any drinks with magical add-ins must be consumed within the café.” You repeat, despite the fact that you enunciated clearly the first time. To help with any possible confusion, you gesture to the bright golden script at the bottom of the menu which states the same.
The woman scoffs, and you inhale a deep, imperceptible breath. “Why?” Indignation laces the word and colors her cheeks red.
Many reasons. Most of which revolve around negligence and exploitation, but that explanation drags. Reminding yourself that you want this job and have jumped through hoops to get it, you dredge up every ounce of patience in your body. With a smile still in place, you say. “We strive to abide by the standards set forth within the Council’s Magical Charter. I would be more than happy to complete your order, but any drink with magical add-ins must be consumed on property.”
“I-“ You brace yourself for the entitled tirade, but the woman’s face melts into a bewildered smile. A glance over your shoulder reveals the reason. Johnny, your fellow barista, stands behind you, his cheeks pulled back by a swoon worthy grin.
With a sigh, you step away from the counter and let Johnny work his magic. Quite literally. Johnny, like you, has the skill of enchantment. As a member of the Essem Family, he has had access to training and knowledge all his life. You on the other hand come from a no name family who has one grimoire passed down from generation to generation, and the two-page section on enchantment only works for curing melancholy.
In moments, Johnny has the woman pacified with an iced caramel Frappuccino with low fat milk and no pump of pep, to go. She sends him another smile before she nearly collides with the door on her way out. After a giggle which Johnny echoes, she is gone, and you’re ready to vomit.
"Did you add a shot of charm to your coffee this morning?" You ask as you resume your position.
Johnny flashes you a grin while raising a single smug eyebrow. "No, I'm just naturally this charming." You gag as you turn away which elicits a chuckle from him. “What, you don’t think I’m charming?”
“I think you are a talented witch.” You say as you reorganize your station. While leaning over the counter to schmooze the woman, Johnny managed to throw the entire place into disarray. You return the business cards to their holder and the pencils to their cup.
“You really think I’m using magic when I calm irritated customers?”
A twang in his voice draws your attention back to him. Glancing over your shoulder, your stomach twists. For such a tall man, he can make himself appear so small. His shoulders hunch in as he fiddles with the ties on his apron. The posture throws his long bangs into his eyes, obscuring them from your scrutiny.
The answer to his question is “yes”, but the answer brews from a petty spite which you stoke every time Minseok, the café’s owner and the foremost expert on enchantment magic, chooses him as an assistant over you. The whole reason you strived for a position at the café was to become Minseok’s apprentice, but every day he chooses Johnny to help with his brews. While you enjoy blaming Johnny, you know the favoritism is due to the inclusiveness of the covens. After all, Johnny is Minseok’s cousin.
“Since when do you care what I think? I thought I was just the hired help.”
His head snaps up, the ties of his apron forgotten as he gazes into your eyes. The contact cools your spite, and it sours. Your stomach rolls at the discomfort, and you clear your throat and return to your reorganization.
“Minseok doesn’t hire just anyone to help in the café.”
You know this. You badgered him for a job ever since Johnny told you about his cousin and his café. Minseok had been the sole employee for years after the café’s inception, hiring Johnny only when the café’s popularity grew. Eventually, the work became too much for the two of them, and rather than hire a qualified enchantment witch, Minseok had hired the girl with little-to-no skill who practically lived at the shop.
“Whatever.” You grumble as you throw another pencil into the holder. The force sends the jar spinning. It falls on its side spilling its contents across the counter. With a growl, you reach for the scattered pencils, but Johnny’s long arms reach around you. The pencils disappear into one hand as his other rights the holder before returning the contents.
You duck out from under Johnny’s unintentional embrace, your cheeks burning. He has to be using his magic. You hold tight to this belief as you breathe to calm your racing heart.
“Minseok likes having you here. You’re as detail oriented as he is.” Johnny nods to the front and back counters both of which have everything in their place and a place for everything. “I’m pretty certain you’re the only person in the world who understands his organizational method.”
“It’s not that hard. Ingredients are organized first by purchase date and then alphabetical. Supplies are..." You trail off as you catch sight of Johnny’s smirk out of the corner of your eye. “You really expect me not to think you’re using magic when you always seem to know exactly what to say to distract me?”
He shrugs, but his smirk only grows. “There are other reasons, I might know that.” Before you can question him further, the bell above the front door jingles. “Duty calls.” He tips his head to you before disappearing back into the brewing room.
With a deep breath, you shove the conversation from your mind and rattle off the customary greeting as you turn to face the new customer.
“Good morning, Y/N. How goes the grind?” You blink a moment as your brain registers that your cousin is here. She misses your confusion as she is too busy chuckling at her pun.
"It’s great. How goes your fruitless endeavor to start a school of magic?"
She scowls which brings a genuine smile to your face. "It's not fruitless. It's slow moving because covens are full of stuck up assholes who refuse to share their knowledge because of what? They're afraid it will diminish their power and their prestige. They need to get their heads out of their asses and think about how much better the world would be if we all worked together and shared our knowledge."
This tirade is as familiar as the Entitled tirade. "And yet, you always get coffee at an Essem café?" You comment as you punch her order into the register.
"Minseok has the best coffee.” She hands you her card. “Everyone in the city knows that. Everyone in the world probably knows it too."
"But you're supporting the coven with the most stuck up assholes." You return the card to her.
"You're working at the coffee shop."
"But I don't have the same issues with them that you do." Not mostly at least. You would appreciate it if Minseok occasionally asked you back into the brewing room.
She shrugs. “Did you place that order for here or to go?”
“To go?” You raise a brow.
“I need it for here.”
“Why?” You stretch the word into two syllables.
“Because I’m staying here.” Rolling your eyes, you adjust the order. "I'm supposed to be meeting up with Yuri." She explains as she checks her watch. "But, she's late as usual."
Your finger pauses above the register as you gawk at your cousin. "Yuri? As in the hedge-witch of the Stahn Family?"
"Yuri is much more than a hedge witch."
"Okay, whatever,” You hold up your hands, stopping whatever tirade she will surely start. “But she’s a Stahn and this is an Essem cafe?"
"Yes,” she crosses her arm, and there is no stopping this coming tirade. “Why is it so hard to understand what me and the Fantagios are trying to do? We want to create a world where people can see beyond their family covens and share knowledge for the benefit of the world."
Leaning forward, you shorten the distance between you and your cousin. The more heated she becomes the louder she gets. The customers have already started to side eye her, and the last thing you need is for Johnny and, especially, Minseok to hear her. "That's great and all. But your dream is not reality and you agreed to meet up with a Stahn on Essem territory. They're basically mortal enemies. This could end in bloodshed, and I could lose my job because I'm related to you."
"Calm down. Yuri wouldn't have agreed to meet here if she was worried for her safety."
You swallow your rebuttal as you hear the hinges of the brewing room door squeak. Your cousin’s eyes grow to the size of saucers, and you wonder why Minseok is delivering her coffee. He rarely leaves the brewing room, leaving all the deliveries to Johnny.
Minseok extends a mug to your cousin who whimpers a “thank you” as she takes it. She sips. Her cheeks flush, but whether that is due to Minseok or the heat of the coffee only your cousin knows.
“Is it good?” Minseok’s question raises one of your brows. In the year and a half that you’ve been working for Minseok, you have never heard him ask a customer’s opinion of his work. Pink tinges the tips of his ears, and you have to refrain from pinching yourself. Maybe, this whole day has been a dream.
“It’s delicious.” Your cousin, the queen of social justice tirades, simpers.
The nausea from earlier returns as you suffer through the ensuing conversation. Despite your effort to tune it out, you hear Minseok comment on your cousin’s frequent visits to the café. She explains that you’re her cousin, which you wish she would have left out given what is about to happen, and that he makes the best coffee in the city. His whole ears brighten at the compliment, the red creeping into his cheeks. Surely, a customer is bound to come in soon and end this disgusting display of emotions.
“Y/N can keep you company while you wait.”
 Your name snaps your attention back to the conversation. You blink as you search your brain for the lead into the statement but find nothing. “What?”
 “I was telling Uko,” Your cousin must have introduced herself while you attempted disassociation, “that you can take your break early to wait with her.”
“Oh, I mean sure if you’re okay with that.” The look on Minseok’s face screams that he would be okay with anything that your cousin wanted.
“Go ahead.” He motions for you to be on your way, and with a slight nod, you head into the brewing room which offers the exit into the main area.
Johnny, busy at a cauldron, eyes you as you walk past him and remove your apron. “Where are you going?”
“I’m taking my break.” You say with a shake of your head as you hang your apron on its hook.
A glance at the clock scrunches up Johnny’s face and puffs out his already large lips. “But, your break’s in an hour?”
“Listen,” you say, turning to face him completely. “I don’t know what I just witnessed out there.” You gesture to the door behind which you are certain the uncomfortable situation is continuing. “But, Minseok said go to break, so I am going to break.”
“What did you witness?” Johnny grabs a mortar and pestle from the counter and adds three pinches to his cauldron. A faint smell of strawberries wafts through the room bringing with it the image of sunlight fields and a gentle breeze. He’s brewing happiness. The ingredient he added was green. Was it an herb? A stone? A mixture of different things? “Y/N?”
“What?” Your mind snaps back to the moment as you remember that Johnny did ask a question. “Is your cousin dating anyone?” You ask rather than answer.
Johnny pauses mid-stir and stares at you. “No.” He draws out the word as he slowly starts to stir the cauldron counter clockwise. “Are you asking for a friend?”
Your eyes narrow at his tone. “No, I’m asking because he’s currently flirting with my cousin, and it’s gross.”
“What?!” His whole face lights up, and he nearly spills the cauldron in his haste to reach the door to the order counter. Sprinting across the room, you reach the door before he does and block it with your body.
“What are you doing?” You pant as your lungs struggle to refill.
“Our family, at least the cool people in our family, have a bet going that Minseok has a wife and two kids in hiding or that he is a celibate monk. I bet that he hasn’t found the right one. Now move, so I can prove I was right and win the bet.” He tries to shove you to the side, but you dig your heels in and refuse to budge. “Come on.” He whines, pulling his bottom lip up into a pout.
“If you want me to move, then you had better use your magic because this is already ridiculous enough.” Fortifying yourself for the oncoming attack, you blink in surprise when Johnny steps back with a shrug.
“I don’t need to. I can ask Minseok about it when he comes back here.” He returns to the cauldron. The potion has turned a putrid shade of green, and Johnny hisses as he tries to fix the problem.
Staying would provide you valuable knowledge, but Minseok has yet to approve your assistance with the brewing. Staying also means you would witness the next installment of this non-thrilling saga.
Minseok and your cousin are still talking when you exit the brewing room into the main area. They probably haven’t even realized how long you’ve been gone or that their conversation was almost interrupted by an overly inquisitive mind.
“There’s a free table over there.” You bust into the middle of a conversation about magical vs. non-magical cleaning products.
“Right.” Your cousin looks to you, then back to Minseok. “It was very nice talking with you.” Her smile stretches across her face. “Maybe we could talk more later.”
Minseok’s smile is more subdued than your cousin’s, but it’s more than what you witness on a typical Tuesday. “Yes, I would like that.”
“Minseok.” Johnny’s head pops out of the brewing room. “I need your help with something.” The stench of rotten fruit leaks through the open door. Minseok mutters a quick apology before disappearing into the brewing room.
You take a seat at the free table, a smug smile on your face. Your cousin is slower to take her seat, her smile still in place. “Is this really the first time you’ve met Minseok?” You ask when she finally settles in her seat.
“Yes,” she answers though her eyes remain on the brewing room door. “He had already graduated when I started high school. I heard about him from the upperclassmen, but they did not do him justice. He is one fine man.”
“Gross. Can you take your thirsty ass and get out of my place of work?”
“You work in a coffee shop, a place where thirsty people are literally supposed to come.” She quips back, finally glancing at you.
“Please, people don’t come to cafes because they’re thirsty. They come to work, socialize, or take aesthetic photos, and maybe sometimes for caffeine.”
Before she can formulate a rebuttal, the bell above the front door jingles, and in walks the reason for your cousin’s visit. In your disgust, you had forgotten the threat to your job. Panic races through your veins as your attention shifts to the counter. You wish for all the luck in the world, but luck abandons you. Instead of Johnny coming to greet the new customer, Minseok emerges once again. Habit controls him as he smiles and gives the customary greeting. Only after the last word leaves his mouth does recognition register in his eyes.
"Yuri." The name is a question and a greeting.
The hedge-witch tilts her head a fraction of a degree in the semblance of a nod. "Minseok." She returns the greeting. You wait - breath held, heart racing - for the coming altercation.
"Kyungsoo's been looking for you. He seems to be worried about something. Is everything okay?"
"You can mind your own damn business." She huffs, her arms crossing over her chest.
You flinch, but Minseok chuckles. "I'm merely a messenger."
"Well messenger, you can tell Kyungsoo - and please make this verbatim - 'I'm fine. Thank you. You can suck my dick'."
Minseok jots the message down on his guest check book, glancing up at Yuri when he finishes. "Anything else?"
"No, that's all."
"Would you like to order anything?"
"Hell, no. I'm here to meet with someone." She glances around the shop.
You shrink down in your chair, hoping to avoid detection, but your cousin shreds that hope. She waves her hand, drawing both of their attention to you two. Minseok’s eyes rest on you for a moment before shifting to your cousin.
Yuri returns the wave as she walks to your table. "Hey Uko, sorry I'm late. The potion needed to brew a little longer this morning than I anticipated. I blame this muggy weather. It's messing with everything I make. Is this your cousin?" She nods to you as she plunks into the last of the three chairs at your table. Uko nods her head. "Nice to meet you."
"You might not think it's so nice. She works here."
A hiss slips out as Yuri shakes her head. "Why must the young always be corrupted?"
"Don't worry. I might not have a job for much longer." You sigh as you push yourself out of your chair. "Breaks over. I’ll find out soon enough if I do or not."
"Minseok might be an Essem, but he's not going to fire you because you have a connection to me.” Yuri assures you. “If he does though, let me know and I'll kick his ass." Yuri grins, showing all of her teeth, and you chuckle despite the anxieties waging war in your stomach.
Walking back into the brewing room, you grab your apron and slip it on while keeping your back to Minseok and Johnny. With a deep breath, you turn to face them. Johnny stands over the cauldron which is a deep forest green and simmering pleasantly. You breathe in the smell of strawberries and hope the happiness has rubbed off on Minseok who is standing beside Johnny and whispering instructions.
With a glance up, Minseok pats Johnny on the shoulder and walks towards you. Lifting leaden feet, you meet him by the door to the ordering counter.
A volley of words waits on your tongue, but they retreat when Minseok asks, “Can you give this to your cousin?” The “this” he is referring to is a folded scrap of paper.
You take the paper, nodding as you slip it into the back pocket of your jeans. “Sure. What is it?”
A small smile lifts his cheeks, and his voice is soft when he says, “My number.”
You choke on your response, and you can hear Johnny chuckling as you attempt to regain your breath. Minseok offers to get you a drink, but you wave off his concern. “What?” You finally manage to get out.
“I forgot to ask for your cousin’s number when we were talking.” He pouts. “I was hoping you would give her mine and tell her she can text me whenever.”
“Sure.” You pause before asking, “Should I go back to work now?”
“Of course.” His response is instantaneous and a flood of relief washes through you. “And thank you.” He adds, the corners of his mouth quirking up. With a nod, he returns to Johnny’s side.
Exiting the brewing room, you shake your head. On the plus side, you still have your job. On the negative side, your cousin might start dating your boss which may not be a complete negative but it definitely isn’t a positive.

MJ X Reader
So This My first Astro Scenario and i hope you like it..this might be the first part...i will try to write another part for each member. Each member will have his own stroy with the reader so please don't hesitate to read them~^^
Gener: fluff .. I guess..?!😅
Words count : 1309
Summary: You are JinJin's childhood friend, Although he was 3 years older than you but he always stayed by your side and so you did. JinJin's dream was to become an idol and you always supported him and he did the same. You admired jinjin alot as a big brother though you weren't blood related, and when he became Astro's leader and they debuted you were so proud of him and wanted to follow and become an idol like him some day.
Tumblr media
After Taking a permission from your parents to become an idol, you additioned to be a trainee at fantagio entertainment where Jinwoo works, you loved music since you were young and you kept writing songs along with jinjin and sanged them since you have a very beautiful voice. You decided that you will not tell jinjin that you are a trainee and tried to avoid every considence that might make you two to meet, and you said to yourself " when i will debut i will tell jinjin oppa about me being a trainee here... " You giggled to yourself as you imagined his reaction when he finds out about you.
Five moths passed without JinJin noticing you being a trainee , on lovely sunny day you where inside the practice room dancing on some astro songs that you liked to warm your body on them.. you heared someone entering. " Oh (Y/N) are still parcting!! Atleast take a break for 5 minutes" said your supervisor ." It's fine, hehe I'm just warming up" . "Well then, the Ceo wants to speak to you so could you please head to his office?" You titled your head in confusion wondering why would ask you to come to his office..you put on your sweater and headed to the ceo's office.
You knocked the ceo's office door and entered.. " Hello Sir, Did you ask to see me? ", " Oh, (Y/N) it's nice to see, well yes, i asked to see to tell you something important, as i saw you've got the talent both in singing and songs writing...and as result i would to tell you that your life as an Idol will start soon so i hope you keep that energy". You still didn't understand what the ceo is trying to say so you just kept your smile on your face and told him that you're going to do your best." I will do my best sir!! " . The ceo started laughing and said " hahaha that's the excitement!, I would like to congratulate you as your first debut as a solo idol will be after two weeks from now congratulations (Y/N)!". You tried to process what he said, when you did you couldn't help but happy tears fell on your cheeks and kept bowing while thanking him.
" It's finally the time to tell Jin oppa" you said that while walking towards Astro's practice room. You infront of their parctice room door, you took a deep breath and knocked the door and went inside. JinJin notices you immediately and stand up and walks to you, " (Y/N) !!! What are you doing here?!" . The rest of the members didn't know you so they waited for JinJin to introduce you to them . But you took the step and did it first, " Hello, My Name is (Y/N), nice to meet you sunbei" . Everyone greeted you as well and you sat next to jinjin. Mainwhile, MJ's eye kept staring at you with a small grin on his face from the moment you entered the room as if he fell in love from the first sight . " It's been a while (Y/N) !! I'm glad that you're okay , but you still didn't tell me why you are here!" Said JinJin. " Oppa!, You know that i always supported you to achieve your dream to be an idol..while i was doing that i got inspired by your passion and decided to be an idol just like you.. so i additioned here and got accepted as a trainee." You said as Sanha suddenly cut you, " but, I never saw you around here, how come we didn't ran into each other atleast once?!". You giggled nervously as you looked at them saying " actually i was avoiding meeting up with you guys on purpose,..." They looked at you still not understanding the reason of your action.. so you continued saying " I decided that i will tell Jin oppa that I'm here in the same agency with him when i get the chance for my first debut" the silence filled the room while Mj kept looking at you , when your eyes met both blushed and turned around, you always called JinJin before and after being a trainee and you could always hear Mj's voice in the background and JinJin never stopped talking about him being the happy virus of his group and how he keep them laughing, you also loved his voice while listening to Astro's songs and you admired him day by day as you learned alot from listening to his vocal parts for reference, so you build a crush on him although he is 5 years older than you. "So... You're telling me that you are debuting!!!!???" JinJin suddenly jumped in excitement. " Yes it will be after two weeks from now" you said shyly . After that eveyone congratulated you and excused you to go and eat , everyone left except MJ who was pretending to pack his things in the bag just to talk to you..
You slowly walk to him and said ". Mmmm hello sunbei,..." It was actually akaward as it is the first time you spoke to him, he couldn't look directly to your face while his cheeks were blushed a bit, he didn't want you to feel uncomfortable aroumd him so he put his sunshine smile on his face and said " hey!! Congratulations on your debut" . You shyly nodded and thank him then the place became silent again, you tried to broke it and said with a grin on your face while blushing " I've always admired you sunbei.. you have really lovely warm voice and eveytime i listen to your parts i learn new things... And JinJin oppa always talks about you which made me want to meet you in person even more" . Mj blushed even more and couldn't find the right words to say , he placed one of his hands on the valc of his neck and thanked you shyly... A moment later, Your two eyes locked together and Mj kept moving torward you as the distance between you was decreasing each second... His hand cupped one side of your face and he leaned and gave you a soft peek on your lips.. it lasted for few seconds but you felt like it was happening for long time...ypu both breaked up the kiss when suddenly Rocky entered the room calling his hyung "M-Hyung!!, What are you doing there lets go and grab something to eat!" "I..I'm coming!!!" He gave you a small smile from the mirror and went with rocky leaving you alone in the practice room. You felt your cheeks burning and your face redden up ..you still didn't believe what just happened..." Did my crush just kissed me..omg!!! Omg omg omg!!!!" You placed your hands on your cheeks and said " Clam down (Y/N) !!! ...but i can't... Is it even possible...does he like me?!!! But it's our first time meeting " many questions came to your mind but in the same time you didn't regretted it ..you slowly moved your fingers on your lips and you giggled to yourself while in the same time Mj did the same while smiling like a goofy

Lies
Warnings: Swearing, cheating accusations
Probably some typos, I rarely proofread and tend to just re-read once the story is posted to fix it.
Word Count: 1.8K
Genre: Angst and Fluff
Requested: @taeyoapple / @sxngminhx
Hope you enjoy and feel free to request!
You let out a sigh, pinching the bridge of your nose. Looking up, you were faced with the sad, dark eyes of the beautiful man who sat across from you at the cafe table.
“Dong Min,” you began, your eyes scanning his with a hint of hurt betrayal buried deep inside of them. “I didn’t cheat on you. Much less with your groupmate. You’ve known me for years, so why would you make that assumption?”
Dong Min, at the strike of noon, had texted you, calling you to the cafe that was near Fantagio. When you arrived, he was already sat down, his eyes focused intensely on his phone and a vein in his neck popping out.
He’s angry about something… You had thought to yourself upon seeing the vein. You had then taken care to approach, your mind reeling over a thousand and one things he could have been angry about. One thing that never crossed your mind, however, was cheating. After all, why would it? You hadn’t cheated on him, so it wasn’t a concern. When he brought it up, though, you were shocked.
“What do you mean cheating?” you had questioned him, narrowing your eyes at him as angry began to boil in your stomach.
“I said what I meant,” he replied. “Are you or are you not cheating on me?” his voice was quiet, but furious. It was an anger that scared you to the core.
You had seen him angry before but it was never this quiet anger. It was always a burst of frustration and it was never at you. It was always at someone else and he was just venting to you. Now, with you in the spotlight of his anger, you felt afraid. Not afraid that he would hurt you, especially not in a public setting, but scared he would leave you.
Dong Min had been everything you ever wanted in a man and more. He was the epitome of perfect in your eyes and you would do everything you could to keep him as yours. You couldn’t even imagine what it would be like to live without him, he had been such a large part of your life.
Now, however, your were faced with the crumbling reality of he could leave me right now for something I didn’t do.
“Of course not, Dong Min! Why the hell would I ever do that? Especially to you? You know I love you!”
That’s when he brought out the messages. Messages you never sent yet were there clear as day.
“Explain these then.”
Your eyes scanned the messages that were supposedly from you to Bin. None of them were sexual, but they were flirty. Much of it was you supposedly calling Bin “babe” and “sweetheart” and things along those lines. It was plans for dates and how you couldn’t see him because you were going on a date with Dong Min that day.
As you read the messages, the anger in your gut grew. “You really think I would send this to Bin? I hardly talk to him! I’ve never even properly had a conversation with him, Dong Min! You are my boyfriend, not him! I love you, not him!” you knew you were causing a scene, but you couldn’t help it. He was accusing you of something you would never, in a million years, do to him.
“Then what the fuck do you expect me to believe? That these are fake? That he just used an app to create these?”
“Exactly, Lee Dong Min! Cause I never wrote those things to him! You know I would never write those things to him, Dong Min,” suddenly your voice dropped and you were biting back on frustrated and angry tears. “I can’t believe you would accuse me of cheating on you. Do you really think I’m that horrible of a person that I would go behind your back?” You didn’t understand. It didn’t click and you were getting increasingly infuriated and disappointed at the same time.
“I don’t know, Y/N! I don’t know because even when we were just friends, you would always keep secrets from me! You never told me things that you should have! You avoided telling me important things! So, no, I don’t know if you’re telling me the truth after all the shit you pulled years ago!”
“That was years ago, Dong Min! I haven’t lied to you in years! And the only reason I lied to you then was because I knew you would get angry like this! I knew it and I wanted to avoid it!” You raised your voice again, anger taking over despite the tears that were now streaming down your face.
“I can’t do this anymore.” those five words sent a shock through your entire being. “I just can’t. I’m done. I’m done with you. I’m done with this relationship. I don’t want you around the dorm and I don’t want you around my friends. I want you gone.” his voice was quiet, his eyes refusing to meet yours.
“You can’t stop me from meeting up with the boys, Dong Min. No matter what, they’re still my friends. You don't control who they meet up with or who I meet up with.” your tone was cold, bitter. You were fighting back the sadness that threatened to close your throat and suffocate you. Inside, your heart was breaking I'm a thousand different places and it felt like your chest was being shredded with the claws of monster. You hated it. But what were you to do? If this was his final decision, then you had no reason to fight him anymore.
Just as you moved to stand, the door to the café slammed open and in stormed Jin Woo, pulling Bin by the arm over to where you and Dong Min sat. You'd never seen Him Woo truly angry. Usually it was just playful and teasing or extremely contained, but this was pure and unbridled anger. He was furious.
“You tell them what the fuck you did now or so help me God I will beat the shit out of you when we get back to the dorms, Moon Bin.” Jin Woo's voice was low as to not pull any further attention to the table (despite having most of the cafe's attention as is).
Bin scoffed at the shorter black-haired man, his dark brown eyes focusing on the ceiling for a moment before he looked back to Dong Min, a devilish grin growing on his face. “I didn't really think you would fall for it, Dong Min,” he chuckled. “Seriously, I hardly talk to them. I won't say I wouldn't mind-” Jin Woo delivered a slap to the back of the male's head, causing him to swear quietly before putting his focus back in the two at the table.
“Fine, if it's such a big deal, I'm sorry. I didn't think you would think they were real. I figured your logic would win over your feelings and you would know we don't talk much. I just wanted to see how you would react.”
Dong Min stood, his eyes burning darkly with an anger you hoped was never focused on you. “I just broke up with them because of your little “prank” Moon Bin! What the fuck were you thinking when you made these, huh? Are you that thick that you couldn't see possible consequences?” he snapped.
“Not my fault you don't trust them more. If you're going to let little fake chats get in the way of things, then you need to evaluate just how much you actually trust them. Cause to me, it doesn't seem like you trust them a lot, Dong Min.” with that, the dark haired boy stormed out of the cafe, deciding to leave before any more problems could arise.
Jin Woo stayed behind, his eyes softening from a rage to a concern as he saw your tear-stained face. He pulled you into a hug, rubbing your back softly as he spoke to Dong Min.
“Please reconsider breaking up with them, Dong Min. They didn’t do anything wrong. It wasn’t their fault.”
You couldn’t see it, but Dong Min was slumped down in his chair, hands tugging lightly at his hair. His forehead was creased in frustration and stress and his eyes were red with unshed tears. You could hear him murmuring something to himself but you couldn’t hear what. When you were finally released from Jin Woo’s grasp and saw the wrecked state of Dong Min, you could have sworn you felt your heart crumble more than it already had. Carefully, you wandered over to him, kneeling beside the man. Now, you could hear what was being said and, if it was possible, your heart shattered even more.
“I’m so fucking stupid. Why would I ever believe him over her. What is wrong with me?”
Tentatively, you wrapped your arms around the man, holding him tighter than you ever had before. Your head rested comfortably against his abdomen and you wanted nothing more than to take away his negative feelings and replace them with happiness.
“There’s nothing wrong with you, Dong Min. We were both stupid,” you commented, your voice muffled slightly by your cheek being pressed in by his abdomen.
While you would have moved to speak more clearly, he was holding you in a vice grip. You couldn’t say you were against it. Of course you couldn’t. This is what you wanted. To make up and carry on with your relationship. Your heart still ached at the thought of his words from earlier, but you knew he said it out of spite. Out of frustration. You knew he didn’t mean it, especially now that he knew the truth.
“I’m so sorry for believing him over you,” he stated quietly, his slender fingers now running through your hair carefully. “I should have guessed there was something wrong and I should have been more willing to hear what you had to say.”
“It’s fine, Dong Min. Just please… If you’re unsure about something, please just be civil and I’ll tell you the truth. And next time, let’s not bring it to the cafe. Now all these people know our business,” you were half-joking, glad that the whole ordeal was done and over with.
Hearing Jin Woo excuse himself from behind the two of you, you only gave a noise of acknowledgement before pulling away from Dong Min. “Why don’t we head out and go to a park? We could use the air.”
He nodded, his eyes now clear of the irritated red that had resided there only moments before and, despite the mussed hair his hands had caused, he looked calm again. He looked happier.
“Let’s get a move on, then, Y/N,” he stated, showing you the beautiful smile that you had loved since the moment you met him.
You smiled back, standing up and, once you had paid and apologized to everyone for disrupting their morning, the two of your were on your way.

Hey could I request 94 & 87 for Rocky?
A/N: In light of the Astro comeback, I finally ditched my original idea for this and came up with this! Thanks for being patient for a year and 4 months! Happy New Year, and happy reading! - Rhin
#94: “I had a bad dream again.”
#87: “Stay awake.”
    You woke up in a sweat, your heart racing and mouth dry. Your head whipped to the left, expecting someone to be there, but all there was was the piercing light of your alarm clock, reading 1:15 AM. Sighing, you covered your eyes with your arm and did some breathing exercises to calm down. It’s okay. Everything’s over, you’re fine.
    Finding the familiar worn plastic in between your mattress and the bed frame, you pulled out your phone and dialed your best friend Minhyuk.
    “Oh, please be awake, please be awake.” you muttered as the other end rang. At the last second, he picked up and relief washed over you.
    “Hey (Y/N), what’s up?” Minhyuk’s low and scratchy voice came over a bit too loud. It was obvious that he was tired, but he often stayed up late to choreograph songs for his group. You could faintly hear music in the background, further confirming what you knew.
    “Are you at the building?”
    “Yeah, why?”
    “Is it alright if I come over for bit? Or would I be destroying your creative process?” You tossed in a teasing tone. He often told you that he liked being alone so he wouldn’t get distracted, but you knew that having someone there to listen to his ideas and give him feedback helped him a lot. He recognized this too, but most of the time was too stubborn to admit it, so you two threw around the “creative process” joke whenever times like this came around.
    “My creative process is and always will be intact,” he retorted, feigning offense. “It doesn’t care if you’re here or not.”
    Laughing, you rolled out of bed and started changing into your go-to leggings and hoodie. “I take that as a yes.”
    “No, I wouldn’t want my BFF’s company at 1 in the morning! Of course you can come over. I’ll unlock the side door for you.”
    “Cool. Thanks, man.”
    “No problem. See you in a bit.”
    “Yep!” With that, you hung up and slipped on some sneakers. Grabbing your keys and a hair tie, you left your apartment and walked to Fantagio.
    About 15 minutes later, you pulled open the side door and walked down the dark hallway. The light from the practice room and the faint playing of Call Out guided your steps to Minhyuk.
    “Hey, close the door! You’re letting all the cold air in,” Minhyuk called from the middle of the room. You were standing in the doorway, watching his fluid movements and the little quirky ones as he tried to figure out what should be next.
    “It’s burning up in here! You need some cold air,” you fully entered and set your keys down on the table next to his phone.
    “It’s perfect in here, thank you very much. Besides, you’re wearing a hoodie!”
    “Because it’s cold outside! It’s winter, Minhyuk!” you shook your head. “Where were we going with this?”
    “Honestly, I have no idea.”
      “I don’t know either.” Plopping on the couch, you started scrolling on your phone. Soon, a sweaty and kinda smelly Minhyuk joined you.
    “To what do I owe this visit?” he asked, not-so-sneakily looking over your shoulder at your screen.
    “I had a bad dream again.”
    “Again? Why was I not aware of these?”
     You shrugged, trying to push the recollections to the back of your mind. “They don’t happen too often, and they don’t include you, so you didn’t need to know.”
     Out of the corner of your eye, you saw possibly the biggest eye roll known to mankind. “If you’re having nightmares that keep you up past 2 in the morning, I should definitely know about them.”
    “Look, I usually wake up from them around 4, so you’re lucky this is early for me.”
    “Still isn’t a good reason,” he sing-songed.
    “Ugh, shut up Minhyuk.” you slapped him on the arm and switched to Twitter to continue scrolling.
    “What are they about?”
    You raised an eyebrow. “What?”
    “The nightmares. If you want to talk about them, then they might go away.”
    “Honestly? I’d rather go back to middle school.” you tried to be as nonchalant as you could, but there was a tremor in your voice anyway.
    “They’re that bad? Wow, they must have you really shaken up.” Concern made his eyebrows furrow and a small frown appear. The only other time you refused to talk to him about something was when you were having problems with family and choosing between the company and university. You had explained to him after it passed that you had felt like you needed to listen to yourself and not have anyone else’s opinion influencing you. He figured it was something similar this time, too. “Just know you’re not alone in this, okay?”
    You dabbed at your eyes. “Okay.”
      “Hey, do you still remember that routine we did before you left?” Minhyuk hopped up and held out his hands.
    “Hyuk, that was like three years ago! How could I remember?”
      “I could re-teach you!”
    Finally, a grin broke out on your face. “Okay, let’s do it. See if I still got my moves.”
    “They’ll come back, I don’t doubt it for a minute.”
    You took his hands, got hoisted up, and followed Minhyuk to the middle of the room, ready to dance like you used to.
~~~
    “Yeah!” you yelled, jumping up and down. “We did it!”
      You two just did the whole routine all the way through without any mistakes. It took you a bit and a lot of reminders, but eventually muscle memory kicked in and suddenly you were dancing pretty much like before you left. Minhyuk loved the moment when you realized you were matching him with minimal effort. Your eyes lit up and you grinned really big, suddenly gaining more energy and charisma. He loved this side of you.
    “Yeah! I’m so proud of you!” he mirrored your excitement, hugging you and spinning you around. “It’s just like old times!”
    “Old times.” you hugged him tighter, “I miss the old times.”
      “Me too.” he sighed, enjoying this little moment.
      You pulled away and put your hands on his shoulders. “We have to film this.”
      “We do?”
    “Yeah! So we can compare it to that video the staff took when we first mastered this!”
    “Okay. Ddoca should be around here somewhere.” Minhyuk began to look around.
    “We could just do it on our phones. Is there a tripod anywhere?” You opened a closet and found one.
    “My phone doesn’t have enough space. Ddoca probably has better filming quality, anyway.” Minhyuk pulled a little white camera out from behind the soundboard with a triumphant “Aha!”.
    “Okay.” you shrugged. “Having the company label on it would probably be safer, anyway.”
    Minhyuk laughed as he set the tripod up and screwed on Ddoca. “You know all of that is added after we film everything, right?”
     “Yeah, I know! I’m just saying that I don’t mind if the company releases it if they want to.”
      “Alright, we’re set.” Minhyuk looked up at you. “Wanna do an introduction?”
    “I guess that’s probably the best way to do things, huh?” you came and crouched next to Minhyuk. “It’s gonna be weird, though.”
    “You’ll get used to it.” Minhyuk chuckled. “Ready?”
    With a nod, he reached over and pressed record.
    “What’s up! It’s Rocky,” Minhyuk started, using his stage name out of force of habit. “Today is kind of a special edition of Y.Y.Y. I have a guest today!” He grinned as he put both arms out and gestured to you like that Will Smith meme. You shyly smiled and waved.
    “I’m (Y/N). I used to be a trainee here at Fantagio.”
      “We auditioned and got accepted around the same time, so we kinda became best friends.” Minhyuk put an arm around your shoulders, throwing you off balance and causing you to fall on your butt. You two dissolved into giggles, mostly due to it being 3:30 in the morning.
    “Dear god, we’re tired.” you said, wiping a tear from your eye. “It’s so early.”
    “Stay awake!” Minhyuk shook your shoulders. “We gotta get this done.” he went into another giggle fit.
      “Anyway, we’re best friends here to recreate a routine we learned before I left and he debuted.” You smacked him, signalling him to calm down and focus. “We spent an hour and a half relearning it, so hopefully it’s pretty similar to the original.”
    “It’s probably way better now. We’ve both matured and changed our styles, so it’ll look way different. Are you ready?” Minhyuk looked at you.
    “As I’ll ever be. Let’s go!” With that, you went to your spot, Minhyuk started the music, and you two performed.
    It felt like a huge audience was watching when it was only a camera. Nerves turned into focus. Focus on your moves, on your expressions, on the flow with Minhyuk. It felt like the old times, and that was the best feeling you had in a while. And just like old times, the routine was over way too quickly. You both froze in the ending pose, breathing heavily and grinning from ear to ear.
    Minhyuk picked you up and spun you around again, making you squeal in surprise. “Minhyuk, I swear to god-”
    “That was even better than the last time! We should have filmed the whole process.” Minhyuk continued to hold you as he walked toward Ddoca.
    “No! I would have made a fool out of myself!” you lightly smacked his head. He put you down and squatted for Ddoca again.
    “You did fine, (Y/N)! I swear, this girl is too hard on herself.” He said to the camera.
    “Do you want me to actually whack you? ‘Cause I can do that.”
    “Okay, okay, I’ll stop! Let me live.”
    “We’ll see.”
    “Uh, yeah. Anyway! We need to go, so this is Rocky and (Y/N) signing off.”
    “Hopefully we’ll get to do more stuff in the future! Bye Ddoca,” you waved once again as Minhyuk said bye and stopped recording.
    You flopped on the ground. “My legs are burning. Is that normal?”
    “You haven’t danced seriously in years. I think it’s normal.” Minhyuk chuckled.
    “Getting sleepy…” you couldn’t keep your eyes open anymore. You were warm from dancing and exhausted.
    “Ah, let’s get you home before you do that. Come on, get up.” Minhyuk grabbed your hands and pulled you up.
    Minhyuk walked you home after locking up. You yawned pretty much the whole way home, infecting him with them too.
    “Do you want to stay the night?” you asked before you entered the apartment building. “You’re just as tired as I am.”
    “I would, but Jinwoo-hyung and Dongmin-hyung are gonna have my head if I don’t go back to the dorm soon.” Minhyuk rubbed his neck.
    You frowned, but hugged him anyway. “Be safe going back, okay?”
    “I will.” He said, squeezing you once for good measure. He watched you run up the stairs and open the door to the complex.
     “(Y/N)!” Minhyuk called just before the door closed.
    You stuck your head out of the door. “What?”
    “When you have another nightmare, I’ll always be there to dance with you.”
