Summary: Castle meets a fellow writer at the library who request his opinion on a raunchy scene they have written. Only Castles opinion involves a little more than a few words on the paper.

Authors note: I challenged myself to do a one page of smut story...so here it is, in all it's glorious awfulness.

This had to be a new record for him. In the space of an hour, Richard Castle had managed to successfully charm, seduce and bed the woman laying beside him; his conquest was another writer that he had just recently got to know, she was a buxom, short haired blonde, self confessed ladette and English, and Castle had a weakness for the English accent. 

He met her in the Library, she was writing a scene for her new book, a raunchy scene that she needed a second opinion on. He happily obliged so that he could hear her rich accent talk dirtily around him and boy, was it something, to hear such filthy words roll off the tongue in that accent. Every word seemed to cause a reaction, he shuddered, bit his lip and even had to discreetly adjust himself while he listened to the transcript. Almost missing her question of “What do you think?”

And that response was all it took to get her back to his apartment and into his bed. A trail of clothes and shoes started from the apartment door all the way up to the bedroom, the first part of the raunchy scene she described. The next part involved her laying back and thinking of England, while he got to work with his wicked tongue, eating her out and leaving her with some satisfactory thigh burn from his stubble. 

He had worked her into a writhing mess but he wasn’t done with her. He licked, nipped and sucked the parts that heightened her pleasure. She whimpered, moaned and pleaded with him to make love to her but he was having too much fun. He liked to make them work for it and she was no exception. He worked her up into a frenzy, causing her body to tremble and her legs shake before sliding between her legs and entering her, gently biting her neck as he felt her clamp around him. 

He was slow and sensual to start with, allowing her to adjust and get used to his rhythm, before he started to get freaky. One minute they were in bed, the next against the bedroom wall, then the floor before back onto the bed again, finishing with her legs up in the air, gripping the headboard while she yelled out his name, loud enough for the entire apartment block to hear her.

Admittedly It didn’t play out exactly like the raunchy scene that she wrote, but it was at least fun for them both and Castle could at least tick off the fact he slept with someone from England and as he lay there catching his breath, wearing a satisfied smile, he felt her push herself up onto her elbows and catch his gaze.

“Round two?” She asked curiously 

“Only if you think you can keep up” He replied cheekily

“Oh I can keep up” She replied as she straddled him “But can you last if I talk dirty to you?”

“Guess there’s only one way to find out” He purred.

Different person maybe, same asshole has been taking the liberty of telling me why my notes have gone down as well, and it's honestly just so fucking unwarranted, unnecessary, rude, and flat-put narrow-minded of them. it's obviously the algorithm or some Tumblr shenanigans that is causing this when its happening to so many of us

But either way, whatever the reason, who the fuck is anyone to tell us anything hahaha just leave us alone. We're here to have fun and celebrate our creative minds with others, no matter how silly or repetitive our fantasies might be.

We don't need anyone to take a shit on that, honestly. Feel free to keep your nasty diarrhea to yourself.

It's so disrespectful of someone to tell a writer why their notes are low. I'm sorry you're getting this treatment as well. For the record, I love your Shigaraki stuff (you're a great writer). Honestly, even when I started writing years ago, I remember people talking about them being low. Meanwhile I thought I was doing good but apparently getting a couple 1000s in a day was normal 😯(again this was in 2019 I guess, I started in 20) I think there's less and less all the time and it's definitely not a reflection of the writer or artist. Then, for anyone to send anything to a person just to attack their confidence or insult them is disgusting. I hear there's a way to track anons, but I can't find the post. Anywho, thank you for sending this and taking the time to write it out. It's good to know I'm not alone in it but sad knowing others are getting this malicious treatment. 🩷💗

hey let's have this conversation again since the like/reblog ratio is getting SOOOO much worse. if you like content, reblog it. the people who follow you cannot see when you've liked a post, unless your likes are visible and they are routinely going through them, which i assure you they are not. by reblogging content, you are making it visible to other accounts. fanart, gifs, edits, etc. may be fun to make but they are very time consuming and it is much appreciated that if you enjoy them, you take the brief moment to reblog them to show that appreciation - and it helps. as fun as they may be, it is often kind of discouraging for posts to not do well because for every one person that reblogged it, five left a like and kept it pushing

1. Do not talk about the stuff that makes you horny around people that you know are over 18. I’m not saying don’t BE horny; you’ve got hormones coursing through your veins saying “Hey, time to start feeling horny at the most embarrassing possible times” and you can’t really turn that off. You might act very responsible for your age; IDK because i don’t know everyone on this hellsite personally. Doesn’t matter. Remember: They go after underage teens because they want someone easy to manipulate and control. If they wanted a normal relationship on equal footing with their partner, they’d date other adults. (No, age differences between two adults aren’t creepy unless the older partner started grooming the younger before they turned 18. Weird, maybe. Uncomfortable to think about, perhaps. But not predatory the way a 26-y/o going after a 16-y/o is, TRUST ME ON THIS.)

3. Your parents have an obligation to care for and protect you, and to help you learn how to assess risk and protect yourself. Your teacher also takes on those responsibilities while you’re at school. Mandatory reporters are required to tell the authorities if they have reason to believe that you or your peers are being abused in any way. But! No one else is under any obligation to protect you from the world.

Some of us may volunteer to help protect you on an individual basis (like a field-trip chaperone). Some of us may give you information like this post on how to protect yourself. But we’ve also got a lot of our own shit to deal with just trying to live in The Worst Timeline. Not all of us have the time or energy to babysit, and we DEFINITELY don’t have the ability to put foam padding on the entire Internet so you don’t encounter anything that might upset or disturb you. It’s just way too fucking big. There were hundreds of TB of Internet 20 years ago when I was your age; imagine how much more huge it’s gotten since then.

So how do you deal with going to a webpage that makes you uncomfortable? Simple. Have a moment to cringe and say “OH DEAR GOD WHY,” if you like. Then hit the Back button and go look at pictures of kittens or something to get your mind off the Squick.

DO:

Block tags that disturb or gross you out on fandom and social-media sites, so you’re less likely to get a nasty surprise. This is exactly what the ability to block tags was invented for. :)

Being disgusted, feeling uncomfortable or unsafe, suck but they are not the same as having your PTSD triggered. Please don’t use the word “trigger” for stuff that just grosses you out; that trivializes the actual trauma of PTSD sufferers. Just say “that makes me uncomfortable.” Please. As someone who’s flinched from innocuous shit my husband does because of how bad my dad fucked me up, I AM LITERALLY BEGGING YOU.

If an adult starts creeping on you, say “I’m underage and don’t feel comfortable with this. Please stop.” If they don’t, then take screenshots in case you need them for legal evidence, and BLOCK THEM IMMEDIATELY after that. Don’t even fucking respond; they’ve already ignored your boundaries by persisting, and that means that they are dangerous.

DON’T:

Agree to meet anyone online that you don’t know IRL without your parents being there. If they don’t want your parents around, that is a HUGE red flag.

Put personally-identifying information on public webpages. Your age; your last name; your phone number; the town you live in; even your first name if it’s unusual enough. These are tools that Nasty People can use to find you. Make it as hard as possible for them to do so.

Hate on people for shipping characters you don’t ship. It would be an abusive relationship? They know; they can handle that because fictional characters aren’t real and can’t really get hurt. It’s not canon? Doesn’t matter; part of the fun of being a fan of something is imagining “What if?” One of them died 100 years before the other was even born? Does. Not. Matter. It’s fiction; they are not interfering in the real lives of real people by shipping. Don’t intimidate, harrass, or threaten someone for wanting to imagine 2 characters kissing that you personally wouldn’t want to imagine kissing each other.

Insist that someone who has tagged a fanwork as “That Thing That You Hate The Most,” take down the fanwork because it contains That Thing You Hate. They put a warning label on it. If you ignore warning labels, bad things happen; you wouldn’t ignore a DO NOT DRINK label on a bottle of household cleaner, so don’t ignore tag warnings. They are there to protect your mind, just like the DO NOT DRINK on the bleach bottle is there to protect your body. Just say “OMG WHY” to yourself, hit Back, and find something better to look at. Don’t view that fanwork; don’t leave a comment on the fanwork; just Walk. Away.

Don’t make callout posts that have images of The Exact Shit You’re Warning About in them. You’re just exposing more people to the same shit that offended, disgusted, or outright PTSD-triggered you! Don’t do that to people, guys. I’ve seen way more Disturbing Shit in callout posts than I have elsewhere at this point, and I read weird fansmut as a hobby, so that’s saying a LOT. Please, please stop exposing us to that stuff!!!

Though I dislike the Geoffrey/Sally thing, if I can say a controversial opinion, I'm not too fond of the whole "OMG a 20 year old with a 16 year old, he's such a pedophile." First of all, because thats not what the word pedophile means, two the law doesn't freak out about smaller age differences like that, three people/fans never make a big deal about it when the female is older.

Indeed, the misuse of the word pedophilia with regards to the relationship is indeed deeply annoying given that it makes Geoff seem worse while degrading the actual severity of the word. 

Having said that, I am not really interested in conversing about the finer points of the Age of Consent and the technicalities regarding relationships. It’s a complex subject, and one that tends to draw pretty strong emotions. I would point out that while ‘the law’ on paper is one thing, people’s reactions regarding the reality of the situation is a tad more uniform. Most people (in the USA) regard 18 as being an adult regardless of what the actual laws in the various states actually are. This is largely due to the fact that much of the media made her comes from California, where the age of consent is indeed defined as 18- I should note that Penders himself resides in that state. 

One of the reasons 20 year old and 16 year old relationships make people uneasy is due to the fact that the general consensus is that 16 is not quite at the age where one is fully matured, and by definition they are not wholly equal to the older partner in question. There is indeed an argument to be made that Sally is extremely intelligent and mature for her age and as such on a more even footing to pursue such a relationship if she chose, and then of course you could make the argument that hey, maybe this is all perfectly normal for Mobian culture. 

What none of that addresses though is the fact that this is, at the end of the day, a kid’s comic, with an intended target audience that is at best twelve years old. Furthermore, this ‘relationship’ is mostly comprised of Geoffrey aggressively pursuing and Sally acquiescing to his advances- there is no build up, no observation, and no chemistry. It exists because Ken Penders wanted his character to get with the sixteen year old princess. 

As I said, the subject is a complex one, but at the end of the day I can’t really envision much of anyone wanting to advocate for something like this to appear in a kids comic book starring a super fast blue hedgehog. Taken on its own it’s still pretty skeevy, but in that context it’s so much worse. 

As to your protest “people/fans never make a big deal about it when the female is older.”... dude, have you EVER seen the commentary about the time Barbie kissed Tails? The sheer number of complaints about how weird it was and how it was kind of disturbing and all that? And THAT was just a gag, unlike the Geoff/Sal thing that was pushed heavily by Penders in the early days. If you earnestly believe that, then you aren’t paying much attention. People do, in fact, take an issue with it... outside of the fansmut makers, but that’s not something to get into. 

And frankly, fans and indeed our culture having a messed up perspective on this sort of thing doesn’t discount all the things wrong with it. Two wrongs don’t make right, and it’s a flimsy, shallow justification at best. 

This is the only time I’m gonna say anything about this, at least to this particular anon. No, St. John is not a ‘pedophile’... but he IS a massive, awful creep, or at least he is as envisioned by his original creator.
