A Wedding | Fred Weasley
Tumblr media
Summary: It is the day of Fleur and Bill's wedding, and you can't help but imagine your own wedding day, feeling impatient for it to come. Unbeknownst to you, Fred feels the same way.
Warnings: Nothing really, just really sweet and fluffy
Word Count: 1441
It was a perfect day for a wedding. The sun was bright, the sky was clear, and the Weasley house was buzzing with excitement for the later events of the day. Although the house was filled with chaos, an underlying calm could be felt, as if all was forgotten about the coming war and recent losses. It was as if time had stopped, and joy had filled the world once more. You stood in the kitchen watching the men raise the tent where the wedding would be held on the lawn, smiling at the back of the man you loved who was laughing and joking with his family. You twirled the newly acquired piece of gold that wrapped around your finger, a gorgeous Dutch marquise diamond sitting in the Center. Thoughts of your own coming nuptials overtook your mind, a mix of excitement and anticipation clouding your thoughts as you watched Fred set up for the wedding.
Yn?- oh good, there you are.
You turned to the sweet shrill of Molly Weasley's voice entering the kitchen accompanied by her hurried steps.
Have you seen Fleur's bouquet? She said she asked you to fetch it?
Molly asked with a hint of frustrated anxiety. You gasped softly and turned back to the window you were daydreaming out of only moments ago. There, in a simple vase, sat the beautiful bouquet of lilies and roses, which had been enchanted with the blue butterflies of the Veela witches fluttering around it.
Oh, Merlin. I’m sorry, Mrs. Weasley, I must’ve gotten distracted.
Your response was scattered as you quickly grabbed the bouquet. You hurried past Molly, who sighed, relieved, and up the stairs to Bill's old room to deliver the flowers. The sight of Fleur was breathtaking; you and her were quick to form a bond when Bill introduced her to the family. One that comes from the shared experience of unintentional harsh judgement from the Weasley matriarch.
You’re stunning Fleur…
You swooned as you entered the room and handed her the flowers. She smiled brightly, relief also showing in her eyes from finally having her bouquet.
Thank you, Yn. You look beautiful as well.
Both of your eyes shone with tears as you smiled and pulled each other into a gentle hug.
Are you ready?
You pulled back, holding onto her hand and shaking it with a tight, excited squeeze. Her nod was quick but there was a moment of hesitation that did not go unnoticed by you. You tilted your head and cocked your brow with a silent question.
It’s nothing… just… what if he suddenly changes his mind? You, more than anyone, know how Mrs Weasley feels about our marriage.
She said, wiping a tear from under her eye and turning her gaze to her bouquet.
The sharp sound of a tsk escaped your lips, and you rolled your eyes.
He would never. He loves you, Fleur, no matter what his mother thinks. I think he made that pretty clear.
A laugh erupted from you both at the memory of the less-than-perfect engagement announcement that took place a few months ago. Which resulted in quite the argument between her fiancé and his mother prompting you to ask Fred and George for some distraction to break it up. Long story short, Molly had become so angry with the twins for their prank that her son’s engagement was long forgotten. Your laughs died down, and a beat of silence filled the air as you smiled at one another.
He loves you, Fleur… you’re getting married today!
An excited squeal leaks from your throat, and Fleur joins in.
Thank you, yn.
You hug each other once more before a knock is heard at the door. You call for the person to come in, separating from Fleur and watching as Hermione peaks inside.
It’s time.
She calls cheerily. You and Fleur give one last glance to each other before heading down the stairs, her first and you following behind, being careful of the dress train that is bundled in your hands to ensure she doesn’t fall.
You sat comfortably beside Fred during the ceremony. Your legs were crossed toward him, and his hand rested on your thigh. Your arm rested looped with his, and a gentle smile lay on both of your lips. Fred had been thinking about you all day. Preparing for this wedding had only fueled his desire to be married to you. He knew from the first day he met you that he loved you, and although some thought you got engaged too young, he just did not want to live his life without you as his wife any longer. The coming war was another reason for the prompt engagement. The thought of losing you terrified him. Not only that, but the thought of you losing him without knowing just how much he loved you broke his heart. You agreed to marry after Bill and Fleur, but as he sat there, watching his brother and Fleur smiling at each other at the altar, a wicked idea crossed his mind. He turned to you, smiling with adoration at your glowing appearance and gave your thigh a gentle squeeze. Your attention was successfully drawn from the altar to him, and you met his eyes just as the minister announced it was time for the couple to exchange vows.
Please repeat after me...
The minister instructed Bill. Fred just continued to stare into your eyes as the minister spoke the vows for the groom to repeat. Your brows furrowed in confusion at the extended stare you were receiving from him. You could faintly hear the priest in the background, then just as Bill began to speak, Fred gently whispered, only loud enough for you to hear.
I, Fred Weasley...
He started after gently clearing his throat, his eyes shining with mischievous happiness. You only continued to stare up in confusion at him.
Take you, yn ln, to be my wife...
Realization washed over you at what he was doing. He was marrying you. It may not be your wedding or an official ceremony, but at this moment, you and Fred were getting married. Your eyes began to mist, and your expression shifted from confusion to love. The voices of Bill and the minister suddenly became muffled as all you could focus on was Fred's gentle voice.
To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, in sickness and health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part.
He finished, his whispered voice cracking and a broad beaming smile spread on his face. You took a moment to compose yourself, gently wiping a fallen tear from your cheek, then met his eyes again as you heard Fleur begin to speak.
I, yn ln...
Fred began to tear up now, squeezing your leg even tighter, shifting in his seat slightly so that his full attention was on you as he fought to hold back tears.
Take you, Fred Weasley, to be my husband... To have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, in sickness and health, to love and to cherish, until death do us part.
You finished smiling wide. A stray tear escaped Fred's eye as he looked at you, his wife. The love he felt was indescribable, and the happiness was overwhelming. You matched his smile, squeezing his bicep affectionately.
Really?
He asked, making you chuckle softly. This man couldn't believe that this was happening, that he got so lucky.
Yes, Really.
You reassured him.
By the power vested in me, I now pronounce you husband and wife!
The minister proudly proclaimed. Cheers from the wedding guests erupted throughout the tent, but you and Free paid no mind to it, wrapped too tightly into your own little world.
You may now kiss your bride!
The crowd stood as the Bill dripped Fleur into a loving kiss. You and Fred remained seated, and Fred was quick to react to those words, placing one of his hands on the back of your head and pulling you into a passionate kiss. Your lips moved in sync as the crowd around you cheered and celebrated, the two of you going completely unnoticed. After a long beat, Fred pulled away, staying close and looking deep into your eyes with the goofiest love-sicken smile. You were sure that yours matched.
I love you, Mrs. Weasley.
He declared quietly, in keeping with the private moment you just shared.
I love you too, Mr. Weasley.
You responded with a tear-filled giggle, wrapping your arms around his neck and pulling him in for another kiss. The two of you relishing in each other as man and wife.

Leah Williamson x Royal!Reader
Disclaimer: I’m sorry it’s taken so long I hated the first draft so deleted it and went again. It’s not my best but I’ve been so busy with college that I wanted to give you something cause you guys have been waiting ages
The media coverage on the run up to the wedding had been enormous, so much so both you and Leah found it difficult to leave Kensington Palace as swarms of people either the media or fans had gathered just past the gates. You where nervous if Leah saw this all becoming to much and decided to call the wedding off, she was a private person one who had been allowed to live a private life along with her professional career up until you had both been spotted on your fifth date, after that it seems as though the floodgates had opened and although you had tried to close them for her you couldn’t.
Both your family as well as Leah’s had all been arriving in to London getting ready to go out to one final dinner before you became a married couple. You had attended a dinner a few nights ago held in you apartment in Kensington palace with all your friends, this meant all of Leah’s Arsenal teammates as well as England teammates international friends from different teams as well as her hometown friends and others she had picked up along the way, while your circle was much smaller always being conscious of picking the right friends ones who loved you for you and not your title. That didn’t mean you had any less of a good time then Leah you had clicked with her friends so effortlessly the first you had met that she almost always swore she would have married you on the spot each time.
The dinner with your family’s wasn’t much different only it was held in Buckingham palace. Leah’s family included both her parents, brother Aunts and Uncles as well cousins, at this dinner you seemed to have had the bigger circle with you Father and his wife, both your brothers and their wives and then your Aunts and Uncles as well as all your cousins and their partners. You had been ever so gracious though and although Leah’s family had met yours many times over the royal protocol had always been a difficult thing to grasp for anyone who wasn’t born into and so you had stayed by Leah and her family’s side giving them signals of when to do things as well as what to call everyone, that was until the alcohol was brought out and all the protocols went out the window, you smiled leaning back into Leah watching your family’s get on so well, relaxed after showing themselves instead of the stuffy upperclass family they could be in the public eye.
The days suddenly began to feel more real as the last of the preparations for the wedding had finished, Windsor Castle was set to welcome another wedding and the buzz around the Uk had begun to grow, Leah would show you the videos family and friends sent her of you both on coffee cups, masks of your faces and flags to which you would both laugh and tell each other that you would get it for Christmas.
Two days out from the wedding you rang you brother in a panic, it was the middle of the night and Leah slept peacefully as you paced the floor of the living room crying down the phone as fear set in “what if this is all to much for her Will what if she realises how heavy this family is what if she doesn’t love me enough to see past that.” William had tried and failed to calm you down he had been telling you over and over that Leah did in fact love you as well as wouldn’t just leave you but nothing seemed to work until your sister in law took the phone from him. “Y/n love it’s Kate. I need you to breath for me ok and then tell me what’s going on.” You let out a breath sighing before telling her what you had just told Will “oh Y/n, I know it’s hard and I know you worry that she doesn’t love you or that all of this is to much for her but she loves you just as much as you love her, you have shown her from the beginning if she said the word you would drop everything and stand back, you have shown her that if she wants to live this life with you you would be there with her every step of the way. Leah wants to marry you because she loves you, because she knows that no matter how big of a role she is stepping into that you are with her every minute ok.” You let out a quite ok before jumping feeling arms wrap around you “Thank you both of you I’m so sorry I woke you up I’ll see you soon.” Kate smiled “no problem that’s what we are here for goodnight Y/n.” Leah restated her cheek on your shoulder “what’s wrong baby.” You relaxed into her hold “My head was so loud, I’m sorry I didn’t want to wake you.” Leah shook her head turning you around “don’t apologise talk to me I’m here for you no matter what time the clock reads.” “I feel really stupid because I know you love me I do but I worry that this is all to much.” Leah looked at you eyes soft “what is all to much my love.” You felt the tears well up in your eyes “this life, the constant struggle of being a family and an institution, the wait of the crown.” Leah sighed whipping your cheeks free of tears “ with you nothing is to much ever, I wouldn’t have asked you to marry me if I didn’t know what I was walking into and I definitely wouldn’t have asked you if I didn’t think we could get through this together.” You nodded pulling back “it’s me and you my girl we have talked about this and if I have to remind you till your old and grey I will ok.” You couldn’t help but pull her into tight resting your head in the crook of her neck “me and you.” You stayed like that a while longer before Leah squeezed you “let’s get to bed.” You nodded before pulling her hand “I want to ask you something first.” Leah nodded pulling you to the couch “anything.” You let out a breath before talking “your achievements both in your professional career and in your career off the pitch in making sure women have a voice and expanding the game, they are your own achievements.” Leah nodded slightly confused “I….Papa wants to give us a dukedom. It’s a title every child of the monarch gets should they wish for it.” Leah squeezed your hand telling you to continue “I don’t want it.” “Y/n you can’t stand back you….what this is crazy you are the voice of so much change and good in this world.” You shook your head “I’m not standing back, I am simply not letting your achievements that you have worked so hard on be over shadowed by a title, you can’t choose if they give us a dukedom you can’t voice your opinions the way you do now and I’m scared they might ask you to stop playing and I don’t want that for you not for a long time, you have so much left to do but if my father gives us a title like that it won’t work in our favour.” Leah finally understood, you where looking out for her once again in a world she didn’t know much about. “Are you sure.” You nodded “I am.” Leah pulled you in for a kiss “ok then talk to him and tell him, I don’t know how much support I will be but I have your back on this ok.” You nodded pulling her up into another kiss before heading to bed.
The day before the wedding you found yourself sat on the kitchen counter writing emails as Leah stood in between your legs tracing soft patters on your back “are you nearly done, I want to spend the next few hours we have left cuddled on the couch.” You hummed pressing a kiss to her head “one more and then you get me until September my love.” Leah sighed resting her head on your chest “fine but the cars coming to pick me up in five hours.” You rolled your eyes at her whining before pressing send and kissing her “all done my love let’s go.”
You stood out in the courtyard talking to Amanda as you waited on Leah to come down with the last of her things to spend the night in the hotel “what time do you leave.” You sighed looking at your watch “an hour tops, I wanted to give you guys enough time to clear before I left didn’t need you guys getting followed.” Amanda nodded “nervous.” You smiled at the older woman “about marrying Le no, about all the people watching yes .” Amanda took your hand “they all fade away the minute you meet her at the alter I promise you will be so wrapped up in each other you won’t realise how many people or cameras there are.” You sighed nodding. Amanda looked at you worriedly “Y/n are you sure your ok.” You let her eyes your own filling with tears “You have been the mum I never got to have, and I never say it enough how thankful I am but I hope you don’t mind that I have looked at you like a mother figure since Leah and I started dating.” Amanda pulled you into a hug “oh love I don’t mind I love you like you where my own and I have since Leah brought you home all those years ago.” You squeezed her tight “I love you too.” The moment was ruined when Leah came running out the door “ok so I think I have everything if not don’t care…hey I want to get in on the group hug.” Both you and Amanda laughed pulling away as you whipped your cheeks “no time I’m afraid my love you are late.” Leah looked at you eyebrows pushed together in worry at your red eyes “you ok.” You nodded quickly “I’m not sad don’t worry just emotional but that’s ok now go so I can marry your gorgeous ass sooner.” Leah laughed pulling you into a heavy kiss “I love you.” You nodded “I love you.”
You stood in corridor staring at a painting of your grandparents “that is probably my favourite painting of them together.” You hummed “they talked about this day ever since you came home going on and on about a blonde girl from Milton Keynes, your Granny had approved of this wedding the minute she met Leah and saw how happy she made you, made me promise I would never tell you not to marry her, my response was by god do you think I’m crazy people that in love kept apart well it’s only ever been written by Shakespeare and it doesn’t end well.” You couldn’t help but laugh “death is a bit extreme papa I would have simply ran away.” Charles laughed “our lives are mostly laid out for us in this world we live in whether we know it or not..my great grandfather was an example when his brother abdicated he was thrusted into a role he was never fully prepared for and one your grandmother is so certain killed him.. the knock on effect was that his line of succession became us..my mother was told from then on that all decisions she thought she was allowed to make would be no more and that she couldn’t just marry any man she had once hoped for.. although she always states it worked out in the end and she ended up living a long happy life with your grandfather by her side.” Charles paused trying to gain your reaction “I am simply king by accident of birth most would say.. our family belief is that god himself has placed me here because I am the only one at this current moment of time strong enough to convey his message to his people.” You scoffed at this, you loved your family but that belief was completely backwards and it was something you had been taught to keep your mouth shut over since you where a child “that meant I myself had to marry right and ultimately I left and the woman I loved couldn’t wait for me. Your mother was the most beautiful woman I had ever seen.” You turned facing your father now “she was absolutely breathtaking and it was a plus she came from an aristocratic family as well as her soft nature that won us all over and I knew she would be the one that would help me carry this weight, but we where so different and I realised that although she was breathtaking and kind and a wonderful mother and no matter how much I tried to convince myself I only ever loved her.” Your father turned looking at you as you stated back at him with soft eyes “but I was never in love with her, and for that I am always sorry, she lived no one should ever have to and I am partial to blame as well as those photographs but I am not sorry for the nights we shared together blissfully loved up in one another’s presence Y/n I need you to know that our greatest achievements where our three children and although one of us is here physically to witness this she is just as proud to watch you fall in love, to marry someone who is equally as in love as you someone who makes you laugh uncontrollably that we all stop just to listen, she is at peace knowing you are all happy, we both are at peace.” You took your fathers hand staring at him eyebrows creased together “ I never got to know her and it is something that has always effected my ability to feel how much she loved me, but this entire experience the run up to the wedding to how it will happen tomorrow has shown me that I have always been loved by her just as much as Will and Harry, I don’t hold it against you papa it’s not your fault you couldn’t love her it’s not hers either your heart simply beat for Camilla and I am happy you got that happy ending and now in some way I feel like Mum gets hers too come tomorrow at 1pm she does anyway.” Charles placed a kiss to your hand patting it gently “I wish you both a life time of happiness and that no matter how dark some days may seem to be just know that you have a friend crawling through that tunnel with you trying to get to the same light and it’s always easier if you work together.” You nodded “goodnight papa.” Charles smiled “goodnight peach.”
Leah stud fixing her cuff links on her left a gold cannon and on her right a crown both representing her beloved football team and the other the royal she was most definitely in love with. Jacob knocked on her door “eh mum said you needed something blue for the wedding so here.” Leah looked at her brother shocked “get that way no way in hell am I using anything with that stupid bird on it no no way not funny.” Jacob laughed “I’m sorry I had to, here Y/n said this should do.” Leah looked down at blue ticket “Jacob what is this.” Jacob smiled at his older sister “it’s the parking ticket to London Colony the day you both first met, she said for today you could borrow it since she guessed you wouldn’t have anything else.” Leah looked up at her brother shocked “how…what I can’t believe she has this.” Jacob smiled nodding “quite the romantic wife you got there.” Leah couldn’t taker her eyes off the ticket whispering out a quite yeah.
You stood fixing the tiara that sat on her head before looking at her brothers “what.” Harry shook his head “nothing it’s just you look so much like Mum it’s crazy.” You smiled at him “you think.” William nodded “we do.” There was a knock on the door as James still his head through “Miss Williamson has left for the chapel, it’s now or never your royal highness.” You turned to your brothers “ready.” You nodded picking up your dress “yep.”
Leah stood at the later of St George’s chapel Jacob standing just behind her as she looked at her family in the pews before straightening up as here comes as a classical version of Can’t help falling in love played through the chapel. The song had been chosen as a way to tie in The Queen and Prince Philip after you both found them dancing to it during a late night wonder around Balmoral Castle. Leah felt her lip trembling as she watched your nieces and nephews walk down ahead of you waving to them smiling as she waved them off before freezing as she caught your eye, your father walking beside you proud as ever as your brothers held the back of your dress gently. Leah quickly lifted her hand up to clear the stray tear as she smiled your father before looking back at you “hi.” You smiled at her softly before she quickly burst into tears again. You pulled her softly into letting her rest her head in your neck “I would cry too but I can’t remember if they put the waterproof mascara on and I really don’t fancy having to get through this looking like a panda.” Leah laughed sniffling as she pulled her head back up apologising softly. The Archbishop looked at you both making sure you where ready before he began “We are gathered here today to witness the greatest love story to grace us in nearly a century, who gives this bride away.” Charles stepped forward “I do.” Charles reached over taking Leah’s hand before placing it in yours “Congratulations to you both.” You smiled “thank you papa.” Charles stood back patting your brothers as they took up their grooms men posts behind you.
Amanda had been right the minute you locked eyes with Leah the world had vanished and the friends and family who had gathered to watch had simply disappeared “I missed you.” Leah whispered as you both sat watching the Archbishop hands never letting go of one another “Le it wasn’t even 24 hours.” Leah smiled “yes but every second away from you is torture.” You smiled squeezing her hand “Did you get my surprise.” Leah turned eyes full of love “you surprise me everyday and make me fall more in love with you every second your incredible.” You smiled “and I’m about to be your wife.” You both stood in front of the Archbishop as he finished his speech “repeat after me I Leah Cathrine , take The Y/n Margaret Elizabeth Victoria to be my lawfully wedded wife in for richer for poor, in sickness and in health. Till death do us part.” Leah sighed placing the ring on your hand repeating the words as her eyes never left yours. “I Y/n Margaret Elizabeth Victoria take the Leah Cathrine to be my lawfully wedded Wife in for rich or poor in sickness and in health till death do us part.” Your hand shakes slightly as you slide the ring on to Leah’s hand looking up as she squeezed it “your ok.” You nodded repeating the words “well I now pronounce you Wife and Wife you may now kiss the bride. Leah didn’t hesitate scooping you into her arms before kiss you hungrily. Leah let you go as the chapel erupted into cheers but you couldn’t take your eyes off each other.
You curtsied to your father before making your way back down the isle to the front steps of the chapel to crowds applauding, you waved smiling at them before Leah pulled you into another kiss “hey.” Leah laughed “just giving the crowd what they wanted.” You made your way down the steps getting into the carriage as you both left the grounds making your way through Windsor waving at people before turning up the long walk. “Have I told you how gorgeous you are.” Leah smiled at you “I don’t believe so.” You laughed “oh I’m so sorry worst wife ever “you look absolutely gorgeous my love.” You smiled resting your head slightly on her shoulder “you are the best wife one could ask for my darling.”
Heading through the gates the public part of the day was over as you headed into the main hall to spend the rest of the day with your guests. You had both mingled Leah making sure your where in arms reach at any given moment as your guests congratulated you both on your day as well as wished you look to the future. Finally it was time for your first dance and you couldn’t help but become nervous as you held Leah’s hand making your way to the dance floor. Leah turned flipping off her friends as they began to whistle in delight, Georgia shouting out “Keep it PG Le yeah.” You laughed as Leah pulled you close just before Can’t take my eyes off of you by Frankie Valli.
The night raged on a lot more and became something of a scene once the children had been sent to bed you hadn’t seen the lionesses drink like this since they won the Euros, yourself and Leah on the other hand had decided not to drink anymore scared of forgetting the day. At 5am the hall had finally cleared out leaving just you and your wife swaying to Stand by Me by Ben E King. “This has been the best day of my life you know.” You hummed your head in her shoulder “I can’t believe I get to spend the rest of my life with you.” You lifted your head “I can’t believe it either but there was never going to be anyone else.” Leah pulled you into a kiss humming softly “I love you.” You kissed Leah passionately “I know but I loved you first.” Leah couldn’t help but smile “Well I get to love you last.” Leah kissed you again and you would never admit it but you loved this back and forth“Hmm promise.” Leah nodded energetically “I promise to love you till the stars come calling, it’s me and you my girl even after we become simple sparks in the sky.” You pulled apart “I don’t want the night to end in fear that it wasn’t real.” Leah shook her head “if we go to bed now then we get to wake up wives.” You laughed pulling her in for one more kiss “ok Mrs Williamson take me to the Bedroom.” Leah laughed “Gladly Mrs Williamson.”

A future fic carcass I'll write when I write (after I finish 9 ungoing fics)
King Viserys dies at the wedding celebration of his daughter, Crown Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen.
No one else does.
I am a firm believer Otto and Viserys are the rot on the face of the House of the Dragon and without these two everything would be fine-ish.
Unfortunately, we need Vissy T for his kids to be born, so Viserys dies soon after Aemond is conceived. Sorry, Daeron, not this time.
Joffrey doesn't die because he doesn't manage to provoke Criston before the king dies.
Rhaenyra overrules his father's decision and marries Harwin Strong.
Their son Jacaerys Targaryen is the heir to the throne, Lucerys Targaryen is the heir to Harrenhal.
Daemon marries Laena and lives at Dragonstone (Rhaenyra grants him that), their firstborn is the heir of Driftmark.
Laenor joins the Queensguard and is sent to Dragonstone to protect Prince Daemon (ha) and his future heirs.
Criston Cole becomes the Commander of City Watch while still retaining his white cloak (what? He did it in canon, can do it here).
Rhaenyra removes Tyland Lannister as the master of ships and appoints Corlys Velaryon (back).
When Baela and Rhaena are born, it is decided to betroth Prince Aegon and Lady Baela, making him future lord-consort of Driftmark (and successfully removing him out of succession of the iron throne).
When Jace is born, his and Helaena's betrothal is announced.
Baelon is born without an issue and the royal family meets at the celebration on Dragonstone, where Aemond claims Cannibal and loses an eye in the process.
(Kinslayer, everyone. It fits).
Afterwards Luke is sent as a ward to Harrenhal with his father. A huge ass scene ensures there Luke clings to Aemond and refuses to go.
Aegon makes a greasy comment and gets punched.
Both Aegon and Baela are sent as wards to Driftmark.
Lucerys still leaves.
Harrenhal doesn't burn bc even if Larys kills Harwin and Luke, there's still Lyonel and Joffrey in the equation. Lyonel keeps serving Queen Rhaenyra as her Hand.
Years later the royal family meets at the wedding celebration of Baela and Aegon, where Luke and Aemond behave very much like Rhaenyra and Daemon at Rhaenyra's not happened wedding.
Rhaenyra and Alicent clutch at their pearls, Rhaenyra suggests father died because of seeing something like that.
Daemon asks if she implies they killed Viserys, then asks where is Baelon.
Laena replies Baelon is playing knights with Joffrey.
Rhaenyra and Harwin Strong (no) have three more children, Aegon, Viserys and Visenya, all silver-haired like their mother (her uncle).
Laena is fine with it, they have a poly. Laena doesn't have more children because Baelon's birth was a ghasty one.
Baelon claims the Grey Ghost.
Otto is never called back to the capital because (suprise!) Rhaenyra didn't rush to kill her 3 y.o brother or the other one who was born after Viserys' death. Instead she marries Aegon off so he's no threat.
Aemond eventually joins the Queensguard and is appointed to the future lord of Harenhall.
Lucerys refuses to marry and appoints his brother Viserys as his heir, who marries Visenya. They have a very good life in Harrenhal.
The reason Luke skips over Joffrey is because Joffrey is always at the sea (with Baelon), and Aegon the Younger is bethrothed to Baela and Aegon the Elder' firstborn, Laena.
Everyone lives happily ever after, Otto gets to be the head of the house Hightower after he successfully plots against his own kin, since his blood is secured on the throne, if in unconventional for him way.
He once tried to manipulate Aegon, but was cut off sharply by Rhaenys and Corlys, who kind of adopted the boy as theirs.
Aegon enjoys wandering about Essos very much, he, of course, whores around, but he and Baela have an agreement. One of Baela's children is born from Alyn of Hull, but no one is any wiser, since everyone just thinks the child looks like her.
Jacaerys and Helaena have three kids, Jaehaerys and Jaehaera and then Maelor.
Jaehaera is oldest and so is the heir.
Oh, and Rhaena is happily married to Corwyn Cobray. They have a daughter, Rhaenys.

So, I'm almost done with the Buck/Tommy/Eddie fic I've been messing around with. I'm nervous to post it to my AO3 cause I don't think people will be very happy with the subject matter.
Guess I'll just put trigger warnings on it and let the chips fall where they may..

Date With Death
Chapter 9
--
Their quiet smiles, unspoken words and cool hands were interrupted by the only people who could rival Wednesday’s love for Enid.
Her own family, much to Wednesday's chagrin, were let in by Yoko while she was talking to Enid. She did not want to let go of Enid’s hand just yet but Enid all but jumped up when she saw Morticia, Gomez, Pugsley and Thing make their way towards her.
Morticia and Gomez open their arms to Enid who gladly jumped into them.
Wednesday had read that it was usual for a family to spend time with their daughter during the hours before the wedding. Knowing the werewolf’s family, Wednesday didn’t think it odd to see their welcome absence. Enid deserved a loving family who didn’t pick on every little thing she did and the Addams family would gladly fill that spot.
“Mi Loba! You look absolutely gorgeous!” Gomez held a hand over his heart as he softly squeezed Enid’s arm.
“Enid, my dear, you look magnificently dreadful!” Morticia cooed, nearly crying, as she delicately cupped Enid’s face and looked at her. How could anyone ever look at Enid and only see flaws? The only flaw here was Enid's choice of groom, but Wednesday made her promise to keep that to herself.
Enid wanted to cry. These people, who have all but taken her in as their own, have managed to make her feel so, so loved with every word they utter.
“Thank you, Mr. and Mrs. Addams. I’m so glad you made it.”
Enid fights back the tears but the moment she loses that battle, Gomez is at her side, dabbing away the tears with a handkerchief before it does too much damage to her makeup.
“Please, Enid, call me Tish. You can even call me mother if you would like.”
Wednesday doesn’t miss the knowing smile her mother shoots her as she continues to talk to Enid who was noticeably blushing even under her light makeup.
The raven blocks out the rest of the conversation as Pugsley beckons her to the terrace. She trusts her parents and Thing to take care of Enid or at least keep her in one piece. She watches them all giggle at one another before she starts to step back. Enid gives her a quick smile just before she turns, a quick signal that it was okay to leave her for a bit.
“Now that Pugsley has distracted Wednesday, I have to ask, dear, any cold feet? I’m sure Wednesday would be more than willing to drive for a runaway bride?”
Enid starts to giggle again because of course that’s the first thing they ask her. The apple really didn’t fall far from the tree.
“Wednesday already offered earlier, but no cold feet.”
“Ah, how unfortunate. It’s been a while since we’ve helped a runaway bride.”
Enid couldn't tell if they were joking. Not with the disappointed smiles they gave her. She laughed it off but genuinely wondered if helping runaway brides was also an Addams thing.
Morticia holds her hands in hers and squeezes lightly. The seer’s heart felt like it was about to burst. Was it because she was so happy for Enid? So torn for Wednesday? She could not tell.
“My dear Enid, please remember that no matter what, you will always be part of our family, understand?”
“And if you ever need a reminder, just look to your wrist.” Gomez added.
The bracelet Wednesday gave her feels cool on her wrist and in that moment, Enid felt more loved than she did in all the time she spent with her biological family.
--
Pugsley is dressed similarly to Wednesday, except he tended to hate the neckerchiefs. They made him too warm.
“So is she still getting married to Ajax?”
“Of course. Why would you think otherwise?”
“I saw you holding hands when we walked in. Kinda hoped you changed your mind about telling her.”
“Hope is a dangerous thing, brother.”
“Can you blame me? How would I ever get back at you for all those pranks if the stupid curse gets you first?”
Wednesday sighs. They’ve talked about this. At length. Pugsley knows he’s fighting with a glass hammer but his stubbornness always seems to win out. When Wednesday made up her mind, no one could change it, so really, they were both stubborn.
“You will best me by outliving me, brother.”
“Feels like a cheap win.”
“A win is a win.”
“If you tell Enid, wouldn’t we all win?”
“I will not confess to Enid just because my life depends on her returning my affections. She deserves a freer, truer love.”
Pugsley knew he would never win an argument against his sister but understanding what was going to happen didn't make him feel any better about losing her.
“Stupid curse.” He kicks at the air, nearly losing his balance in the process.
“By calling the curse stupid, you have also called our family stupid. Including me.”
“Well, you’re being real butt right now so yeah. You’re stupid, too. Because this curse has to be the worst kind of stupid if it can’t see how Enid looks at you.”
All Wednesday hears after “stupid” is more of Pugsley’s grumbling. He really should outgrow that. It was not fitting for an Addams to grumble.
Wednesday, in an act of love (because to hell with it, it’s her last day on earth anyway), puts a hand on her brother’s shoulder to console him. All her responsibilities would go to Pugsley the moment she crossed. While she has much confidence in his abilities, she would not blame him if he started to hate her when he realizes just how taxing it would be to lead the Addams family in its entirety.
“I have accepted my fate, brother. Please remember what you swore to do when death graces my door.”
“I’ll look out for Enid. I promise.”
“You are a good brother, Pugsley. I am sure the curse will not seem as stupid once you fall in love.”
Pugsley chuckles darkly. He’d quip back if their parents weren’t calling for them to come back inside for a family picture with Enid.
Their parents had,  of course, already taken a photo with Enid. They just wanted the whole family this time.
Morticia made sure to place Wednesday and Enid together in the middle. It looked best with them there, after all, no other reason.
If her daughters were never given an opportunity to have a wedding of their own, she’d at least have this photo.
The photographer shows Morticia some of the photos when they disperse for the garden shoot. She spots one shot that clearly captures Enid fixing Wednesday’s lapels while the werewolf smiled and Wednesday looked at her.
Her heart breaks. This was the moment she saw in a vision years ago.
Her daughters’ happiest moment was captured in a photo.
--
Yes daughters (plural) because they’d thought of Enid as their daughter the moment Wednesday brought her home that first summer all those years ago.
Hi guys. I’ve been wanting to write so much but I got sick and my timing wouldn’t line up so yeah I’m crunching this out now.
I’m not totally happy with it so I’ll probably pretty it up now and again.
I think I might try writing one of the Wenclair fic ideas I posted if I get too stumped to write about the next chapter for Date With Death.
I’m not abandoning it. Don’t worry.
Let me know what you think! Also, I suck at spelling so let me know where the mistakes are!

Warnings: anxiety/nerves, proposal, weddings, marriage, budgeting/finances, family
Tumblr media
Proposal
“Mates are you sure?” Tom asked nervously, rubbing the back of his stiff neck with his now clammy palm.
Sam chuckled and patted his older brother on the shoulder with a soft nod, “extremely certain, Tom”.
Harry smirked and pretended to debate the answer but switched tones as he rolled his eyes and hung his arm over Tom’s shoulder, “we are, but I don’t suggest you ask her that question”.
Sam laughed and nodded, “agreed, when she says yes, don’t question it; just go with it”.
“If” Tom said, laughing softly with his younger brothers.
“When” Harry argued, playfully shoving his brother after he removed his arm from around Tom’s shoulder.
“When what?” Their mum, Nikki, asked as she approached her two birthday boys and her oldest son.
“Umm” Sam mumbled, glancing around, “oh, I ought to go check the oven”.
As Sam dashed off, Harry smirked as he looked between his mom and Tom.
“Do I want to know why Sam just rushed off like that?” Nikki said with a slightly teasing tone.
“Nothing bad mum” Harry smiled, winking at Tom before he excused himself to get another beer.
“Come here” Nikki said, pulling her oldest in for a hug.
Tom laughed and held onto her tightly as he tried to regulate his breathing, “thanks mum”.
“Now, what’s got you so worked up?” She asked, guiding him backwards and towards the seating area of the patio.
“How do you know I’m worked up?” Tom asked, his voice dripping with panic.
He quickly lifted his arms and checked for any sweat stains before looking back at his mum.
Nikki gave him a knowing smile and shook her head, “I’m your mum Thomas, I know when my boy is nervous”.
“Is it really obvious?” Tom sighed, plopping into the patio chair.
Nikki hummed softly and shook her head, “not if you just calm down. What’s happening Tom?”
“I… okay… well.., you can’t say anything” he blurted, taking a deep breath before resuming his rambled explanation.
“You remember how I asked for your help at the jewelers awhile back?” Tom mumbled, looking around to ensure no one was listening.
Nikki beamed brightly, her cheeks rising until her eyes scrunched closer together.
“Yes, of course! Are you asking tonight?” Nikki quietly exclaimed.
Tom nodded and bit the left corner of his bottom lip, “I’ve been trying to find the right time for months but…”
He shrugged, “I know tonight we’ll actually have privacy from the media, we’ll be with family, and I know it’s Sam and Harry’s birthday but it’s also Valentine’s Day and they said they’re okay with it, and-“.
“Thomas, honey, I think it sounds wonderful” Nikki interrupted as she sensed he’d continue rambling for awhile if she didn’t.
Tom blushed and thanked his mum before quickly telling her his plan before y/n got off of work and made it back to the house.
Y/n hummed and placed her head on Tom’s shoulder as she smiled peacefully, her eyes closed.
It had been a couple hours since she arrived to celebrate the twins’ birthday.
Tom craned his neck and kissed her temple, “having fun, love?”
She hummed again, arm slipping around his back until her hand rested on the opposite side of his waist, “yes”.
He smiled and felt his nerves calm infinitesimally, fingers brushing her hair from her face as he sighed “perfect”.
“Tom?” She whispered, eyes fluttering open and head raising off his shoulder unexpectedly.
He nodded, one eyebrow raised in question at her behavior.
“Can..” she began, looking around at the group before back at him.
“Here, come with me love” Tom said, standing up and holding his hand out for her.
She did as he suggested and let him guide her to the garden Nikki had begun.
Once they were out of earshot, Tom motioned for her to continue her thought.
She smiled shyly and looked at Tom’s family a few yards away.
When she faced him again, she bit her lip and motioned for him to look where she had been.
“Can we have more nights like this? I mean I know I’m not part of the family, so I don’t want to intrude, but I just…, I don’t know, this is just so calming and-“ she began but stopped when she noticed he wasn’t next to her anymore.
“Tom?” She asked nervously, afraid she’d overstepped.
But as her eyes found him, she nearly burst into tears.
Tom was suddenly kneeling before her, ring box propped open in his hand as he gazed up lovingly at her.
“Y/n, my love” he began, making her sniffle quietly as she tried to compose herself, “there is nothing I would like more than to grant you that. I’d love to have more nights like this, only with you officially being part of the family now”.
Both of their eyes watered, a few stray tears dripping down their cheeks nearly synchronously.
“I have been meaning to ask you this for ages now, but I feel we’re both in a good position to truly promise each other everything that comes with such a commitment. I want to spend the rest of my life with you, making you feel as happy, loved, and cared for as you make me feel every day. Will you marry me?” Tom asked, holding the ring box closer to her.
She didn’t even bother loooing at the ring, her eyes never even left him for a second.
Instead, she blinked away her tears as she gazed into his patient but nervous stare and nodded rapidly.
She knelt before him, cupping both sides of his face with her hands.
“Yes, forever yes” she whispered, pulling his face to hers for a kiss.
Tom smiled into the kiss, his hand awkwardly bracing her back without dropping the ring.
When they pulled back, he grinned widely as he removed the ring from the velvet pad and slowly slid it onto her ring finger.
“It’s perfect” she whisperered, glancing down briefly before back at him.
“Yeah, it is” Tom agreed, watching her intently.
Reactions
To say Tom’s family was excited would be an understatement. They were all beyond pleased to be having y/n become part of their family.
Y/n and Tom’s friends (both mutual and individual friend groups) were cheerful and supportive as well. Most were wondering who would get the honor of being part of their bridal party.
Best Man
Tom didn’t want to have to chose between his brothers when it came to who would be his best man.
He also wanted it to be his best mate Harrison.
Fortunately y/n encouraged him to choose whomever he wanted and that they’d handle any disappointment from his brothers if need be.
Tom knew choosing Haz was the right choice as he’d been there for both Tom and y/n from the start and remained close to them both throughout the years that had passed.
Bachelor Party
For Tom’s bachelor party (or stag), Harrison invited Tom’s closest friends and reserved a local golf club lounge.
Tuwaine, Harrison, Harry, Sam, Paddy, and Tom spent the night playing darts inside the private lounge, enjoying high quality food and drinks, and playing a round of golf on one of the nicest courses in town.
Wedding Planning
Tom would let y/n pick out any items she wanted, no matter the cost
Y/n would of course disagree and suggest she find a cheaper or more reasonably priced alternative.
But Tom would be firm about it, stating he wanted her to have everything she wanted
He’d assure her that he wasn’t worried about the money
Y/n kept asking to set a budget but Tom didn’t want to as he didn’t want that pressure to be associated with their big day
He just wanted them to have the wedding of their dreams and they’d manage the finances of it afterwards if need be.
Other than refusing to set a budget, Tom was otherwise very helpful in the planning; often providing his opinions, choices, and guidance
Wedding Day
The couple was very fortunate as the day was everything they could’ve imagined.
They both looked stunning and elegant.
Their friends and the venue staff helped them set up an incredibly romantic but elegantly classic atmosphere.
Tom of course cried as y/n walked down the aisle to him; which was of course playfully yet simultaneously supportively brought up during Harrison’s best man speech.
Just as Tom had promised during his proposal, the couple spent their wedding with their closest loved ones.
It was the perfect first night to spending the rest of their lives with their joined families and each other.

The birdies at the wedding 🕊️
A little one shot posted for 3000 hits!
Summary:
Helena, Nozel, Heinry, Noureen and Natalia attend the wedding of Asta and Noelle.
Just lots of fluff, pretty descriptions, spanglish and some silly jokes 💕
Yes, there is an illustration 🩵
Type: One shot
Word count: 2800
Author's note:
I mention other people's OCs. (Literally mentions, but I couldn't stop myself 😁.) They belong to @lyranova @thoughtfullyrainynightmare and @loosesodamarble.
The ceremony at Asta and Noelle’s wedding was simply beautiful. Helena could come up with multiple astounding adjectives to describe it, but she was sure that even all of them complied could not reflect on how she was feeling. She bawled her eyes out and was loudly sobbing, while using a handkerchief to wipe away her never ending tears of joy.
Her children two nine year old boys Heinry and Noureen, and Natalia a three year old little girl would point out her emotional state.
“Mama, why are you crying?” Heinry pulled on her dress. “Papa do something!” He would then bother Nozel, who just smiled softly and stayed quiet as all of them should have done through out the ceremony.
After Asta and Noelle spoke their vows and finally said the long awaited ‘Yes’, the party was moved from the great chapel to the Silva Estate ballroom. As the Lady of the house it was Helena’s job to have it meticulously prepared. She obviously poured her heart out and countless hours at that, towards reaching her goal. The grand hall was lavishly decorated with white, pink, purple and blue flower bouquets, garlands, lights and all possible accessories. However it was not too much, just the perfect amount to not let anyone feel overwhelmed, but allow them to appreciate the interior. Helena cared for the good name of House Silva and she continued to fulfil that playful promise she had made to Nozel years ago, about pouring her dignified strength and giving her best for the prosperity and reputation of their House. Theirs. And now Asta joined the Silva family too.
The newlyweds sat at a rectangular table, which was specially raised on a platform, so that everyone could see them. Kahono as Noelle’s bride’s maid and Yuno as Asta’s best man, sat on both of their sides. Next to Yuno there was one additional seat prepared for his fiancé Neva, but she disappeared somewhere within the crowd and had yet to join them.
Helena and her familia were seated at the table to the right from the newlyweds. Next to them sat Solara and Fuegoleon with their own three cubs. They were engaged in some pleasant conversations and Fuego was completely drowning in the mesmerising green eyes of his wife. Helena watched them fondly, happy that everything seemed to have fallen in its right place.
She turned towards her three birdies, whose sight filled her with joy and pride only a mother could understand and smiled. Noureen was fidgeting with the high neck of the white jabot that he was wearing. It contrasted with his pastel red, sleeveless blazer and chocolate brown strands of hair, that fell onto his shoulders. Under the blazer he wore a white shirt with golden bands gripping it at his wrists. Matching pants were straight pleat and golden sandals finished of his look. The red cross flory fitchy earring in his right ear proudly stated, which house he belonged to. Although everybody could probably guess it anyway, because his hair was styled almost exactly as Nozel’s. And those eyes of his, they were lilac, just like nana Acier’s and his papa’s.
Heinry wore the exact same outfit, just that the accents were baby blue and the earring was on his left ear. He looked like a miniature copy of Nozel with his silver hair styled in an eagle like manner. However only looked, because when it came to his behaviour, nothing could scream louder the energetic atmosphere of the Drazels.
Natalia sat on the other side of the table in a raised seat specially prepared for a three year old. Her silver hair was getting longer and it was neatly styled in soft waves. The dark brown eyes of the girl were excited as she tried manoeuvring towards her mouth a piece of duck using a small fork. Helena worried that she would drop it on her soft lilac dress and then they would need to leave the party to get her changed. Thankfully Nozel was there to save the day. With a flick of his fingers he created some mercury protecting the fabric.
Classical ballroom music was being played by the band and Kahono, now a kingdom wide star, sang a love song for the newlyweds. Helena was immersed into the sound. She felt excitement rise in her chest and she knew, she wanted to join the dance.
Helena turned towards her husband and a her lips formed a beautiful smile.
“Would you like to dance mi amor?” She asked in a sweet tone.
“I’m good,” Nozel answered flatly and focused on the roast duck, that was in front of him, completely not noticing an annoyed expression on his wife’s face. He had to not realise, that she was just asking out of courtesy.
Helena furrowed her brows and huffed.
“Are you suuure?” She elongated the word and made Nozel look up. His eyebrows raised and lilac eyes were questioning.
“I want to finish this dish,” he said. “You know it’s my favorite.”
Yes Helena was aware, but she wished to be selfish and dance now.
“Papa helps me eat,” Natalia crinkled her tiny nose and now that it was two against one Helena knew she lost. Daddy’s girl was taking his side, since her youngest years.
“I would like to dance with you mama,” Heinry jumped of his seat and approached her. He respectfully bowed down and then reached his hand towards her. The little prince, that he was, knew all the required etiquette and was pristine with his manners. Lilac eyes flashed confidently and Helena chuckled softly reaching out to her son.
“At least someone knows how to be a gentleman,” she grinned at her husband, who just rolled his eyes affectionately, before once again swooping in to save Natalia’s dress. “What if you just feed her?” Helena added.
“I can… myself,” Natalia found the right word and furrowed her brows, while gripping harder onto the fork, that she was holding. She was a smart three year old and certainly a feisty one. Wonder where she got that from?
“You heard our hija,” Nozel proudly gazed at his daughter.
Helena could not help the fond expression, that appeared on her face. Nozel was a great dad, despite his countless worries, that he was going to be an awful one, like his own father was. However both of them pushed through, they made mistakes, they learned from them and they did all of this together, supporting one another. Now the three little birdies were growing up in a warm and happy environment, something Nozel’s childhood was lacking after his own mother had passed away.
Helena was pulled out of her thoughts by Heinry, not so sophistically dragging her towards the dance floor. He was very excited. When the next song began to play, she let her son lead her and even though he would make tiny mistakes, and slip from time to time, Helena knew that he was doing his best and it was all that mattered.
When Kahono finished singing they moved slightly to the side, but did not leave the dance floor yet. Helena smiled at Heinry and he responded in the same way, flashing his white teeth. ‘That’s my niño,’ she thought.
Suddenly somebody ran up to them and grabbed Helena’s dress hiding behind her.
“Woah, Noureen!” Helena exclaimed startled. “What are you doing hijo?”
He poked out his nose, so only the upper part of his face and frantically searching lilac eyes were visible.
“Tia Noelle wants to dance with me,” he whispered determined. “I’m running away.”
“Yhm,” Helena nodded and furrowed her brows at him. “And you think you will find shelter, while grabbing my dress?”
“Yeees?” Noureen raised his brow and Heinry chuckled, which earned him a poked out tongue from his exactly twenty four minutes younger brother.
“Hijo,” Helena smiled and pulled his small hands off her dress. She then turned around to face him and knelt down so they would be levelled. Helena reached out her palm and pressed it to her son’s cheek. Noureen nuzzled into it and she smiled, noticing right away how similarly to Nozel he behaved. “It is tia Noelle’s wedding day. She doesn’t want to dance with you to make you miserable, but to share her joy with her nephew,” Helena’s voice was tender. “Consider it a little gift you can give to her. I know you want tia to be happy.”
“I do,” he nodded motivated, “but what if I trip and then ruin her dress?” Noureen asked. “She looks very beautiful, tio Asta just can’t take his eyes of her.”
“My sweet hijo,” Helena looked at him lovingly. “It will be alright. You know how to dance and if you trip, that’s simply it. It will be just fine.”
“Tia won’t get angry?” Noureen blinked his lilac eyes.
“I don’t think there’s anything, that could ruin her mood today,” Helena winked and tapped his pointy nose. Her son softly giggled. “So go on now. Ask tia Noelle to dance.”
Noureen nodded determined and ran off towards the woman of the night. Helena and Heinry watched them for a minute, before deciding to head back to their table.
How surprised they were when the only ones present were Cyraleona and Eleonora Vermillon. Their parents and their brother were gone mingling, or dancing, while Nozel and Natalia were nowhere to be found.
Helena furrowed her brows. Where could these two had gone off to?
“Maybe papa did not manage to save Natalia’s dress and they went to change?” Heinry said out loud.
“Probably,” Helena nodded and looked at him. “Since they’re not here would you like to dance again?”
“Mama,” he groaned annoyed. “You know I have to ask you that. I’m practicing being a gentleman.”
“You already are one,” Helena chuckled, but let Heinry ask her again. Court etiquette practice was always welcomed, while being raised in a Royal family.
However as they moved towards the dance floor and then began swaying to yet another waltz, something drew Helena’s attention. Between the swirling dresses and moving legs, Helena noticed a familiar glint of silver. She guided Heinry towards it, walking past a pair, who Helena recognised as Josele and Nacht Faust, and then abruptly stopped, because her heart could not take the emotion, that it was experiencing.
Helena smiled and watched the view in front of her, while the warm feeling inside of her chest bubbled joyfully.
Just a few meters away Nozel and Natalia were dancing. However since their daughter was so small he had to lean down towards her in order to support her. Natalia’s movements were clumsy and she did not know the steps, so Nozel let her step on his feet, and with each move of his, she had no other choice but follow. Two dark orbs were staring and trying to analyse the dance, while brows furrowed determined. Silver hair beautifully framed her plump cheeks as she pouted. Her lilac dress, surprisingly without any stains on it, fluttered behind her.
Nozel was smiling, softly, because this was his way and Helena knew, that it was the most genuine expression, that he could have. His gaze was filled with love as he guided his little girl and lilac eyes were watching, taking in her view. Nozel looked amazing himself and Helena could proudly admit, that to her taste, he was the most handsome man at the party. He wore a blue, long sleeved blazer with sophisticated golden accents and a white jabot, but it started lower on his neck, beneath the part, where his golden collar used to be. A Silva cross was attached to the jabot at the centre beneath the soft feathery neckline. The vest underneath the blazer was white and his pants were pressed pleat, like those his sons wore. Silver hair was styled in the eagle like pushed back and up hairstyle and the strands at the front were braided. However it was just this official occasion. Everyday he would have them loose, because he no longer needed the reminder of his past. He would clasp the blue Silva pendant only on occasions, such as this one, which required the ‘Nozel Silva’ look.
He had to feel her stare, because Nozel looked up at her and Helena’s heart beat faster. She smiled genuinely and felt a soft blush spread over her cheeks. How she loved him and the family they had created.
“Natalia really can’t dance,” Heinry commented and pulled Helena out of her thoughts.
“Oh shush. They’re doing amazing,” she quieted him, but her tone was fond.
They came back to the dance themselves, but then Heinry grinned at her.
“What if we do a switch?” He asked. “I can teach Natalia a little bit and you would dance with papa?”
“Heinry,” Helena chuckled. “Do you think I need a wingman to dance with my own husband?”
“Well mama,” he shrugged. “You kind of failed earlier.”
“I won’t this time,” she deflected.
When the song ended they approached Nozel and Natalia. Helena smiled fondly and swept her gaze over them. Just as she was about to speak up and ask her husband to dance, Natalia reached out her little arm and grabbed onto his palm, pulling him down towards herself. Her fingers looked so small compared to his. She leaned in and whispered something to his ear.
Tumblr media
Nozel slowly closed his eyes and then delicately nodded, before ruffling her hair. Natalia squeaked excited and let him stand up.
“May I have this dance Helena?” Nozel reached out his hand toward her.
She gracefully took it and let him lead her just few steps away from their children. They did not want to loose sight of them, especially the three year old in this filled with people ballroom. So only when Heinry and Natalia began to dance, the gazes of their parents went towards one another.
“Keeping secrets from me again mi amor?” Helena playfully quirked her brow as Nozel pulled her closer and began leading her to the music.
“Would you like me to spill them?” He asked flatly and when Helena nodded, he shook his head. “I can’t violate the sacred father-daughter trust.”
Helena pouted.
“So I’m going to be left in the dark, when it comes to your whispers?” She fluttered her lashes.
“Maybe,” Nozel stated. “Although I suppose you will get it out of Natalia after making her surrender in a tickle war.”
“I am the best at tickle wars,” Helena laughed.
“I am aware,” he deadpanned and just to tease him Helena moved forwards. “Don’t you dare,” he furrowed his brows and it made her chuckle even more.
“Oh you know I wouldn’t do anything, while we’re in public. Nobody will know the tricks that señora Silva has up her sleeve,” Helena winked.
“They don’t acknowledge how much of a devil you are with these,” Nozel stated in a serious tone.
“No captain,” she corrected him and her tone changed to seductive. “I’m a devil in some other settings, only known to you,” she purred.
“Helena,” he hissed, but could not hide the gentle, fond expression on his face.
“I love you,” Helena grinned and Nozel just rolled his eyes.
“I love you too,” he gazed at her deeply, “but you are annoying.”
“And I will gladly annoy you for the rest of our days,” she said.
“Keep your promise.”
The song ended and Helena very reluctantly pulled away from Nozel. Two of their kids were nearby and she noticed further away Noureen bowing to Noelle, before she took her new husband’s hand. Asta’s green eyes were focused on her this entire time and seemed very excited to dance with his gorgeous bride.
“After the next song you should ask Noelle to dance with you,” Helena inquired.
“I will,” Nozel nodded and looked at his sister proudly. “She’s come so far and became very strong. I am happy for her.”
“Oi watch out,” Helena grinned and he quirked his silver brows at her. “Your caring side is showing so much today, that some may even think the real Nozel Silva has been kidnapped.”
He narrowed his eyes.
“You actually think you’re funny?” Nozel asked irritated.
“And that’s how I know you’re my husband,” she giggled.
Soon the song ended and Nozel was about to go ask Noelle to dance, while Helena and their children would head to the table. However at the last second Nozel stopped her and looked her in the eyes.
“I love you Helena and you look beautiful this evening, just like you do everyday,” he said and it caught her by surprise how out of the blue it was. Despite being married for years, she flushed and her heart picked up its pace. “Save me the next dance, because I want to show off to everyone my amazing wife.”

20. SHADOW MAN
Tumblr media Tumblr media
THE BEAR'S GROWLS ECHOED THROUGH the forest, its search for me relentless. Even though I was invisible, I could sense it tracking my scent. Thanks to Simon's warning about the Ursa Clan, I managed to keep my primal urges in check.
I knew that if I let my guard down, the bear would surely find me and unleash its fury. I had to stay focused and remember everything the Khotlers had taught me about survival in the wilderness. As I crept through the dense underbrush, I could hear the bear getting closer and closer. I knew I had to stay calm and trust in my abilities.
Suddenly, the bear burst through the trees, its massive form looming over me. I held my breath, waiting for the inevitable attack. But to my surprise, the bear stopped in its tracks and sniffed the air. It seemed confused, unable to locate me despite being so close.
I took advantage of this momentary confusion and slowly backed away, careful not to make any sudden movements that might alert the bear to my presence. As I retreated, I heard the sound of another set of footsteps approaching, growing louder with each passing second.
And then, emerging from the shadows, was another bear. But this one was different. Its fur was as dark as the night, blending seamlessly with the surrounding darkness. It was a formidable creature, and I could sense the power emanating from its very being.
The two bears stood face to face, a silent exchange of dominance between predators. It was as if they were communicating without words, a tense moment in the heart of the forest.
I watched in awe as the two bears circled each other, their growls echoing through the trees. It was a battle of wills, a primal dance of power and strength. I knew that I had to make my move before the situation escalated further.
I slowly began to back away, trying to make my escape without attracting the attention of either bear. The tension in the air was palpable, and I could feel the adrenaline coursing through my veins.
Just as I thought I had made it to safety, a twig snapped under my foot, alerting the bears to my presence. In an instant, they turned their attention towards where I stood, their eyes locking onto mine with a fierce intensity.
I knew that I was facing a life-or-death situation, and I had to act quickly.
Suddenly, the bears halted, their attention shifting to something behind me. The brown bear snorted while the black bear emitted a low growl. I turned my head to see what had captured their interest. To my astonishment, a tall figure emerged from the shadows. Clad in a black misty trench coat and a fedora hat, this man lacked a discernible face. He stood there, his presence commanding and enigmatic, as if he held some kind of power over the bears. The tension in the air seemed to shift like a new player had entered the game.
Sensing the shift in power, the bears slowly distanced themselves from each other, their growls fading away. It was almost as if they recognized this figure as a formidable force, not to be underestimated. As the figure drew closer, the bears began to retreat.
Then, a familiar caw sounded by my side. I glanced down to see the raven Lenore nuzzling against my leg.
It was unmistakably him.
As the bears fled from the towering shadowy figure, Ingram emerged from within him, a mischievous smile playing on his lips. He seemed oblivious to my presence.
"Works like a charm," he chuckled. "They're terrified of it."
"Why is that?" I inquired, catching him off guard.
"Violet!" he exclaimed, turning to face me. "What are you doing here?"
I shrugged, trying to hide my surprise at seeing Ingram here, of all places. "I could ask you the same thing," I replied, crossing my arms. "What's with the whole act?"
Ingram chuckled, his eyes glinting mischievously. "Well, flower, sometimes a little mystery can be quite useful. Keeps people on their toes, you know?"
"Whoa, why did you call me flower?" I inquired, taken aback by the unexpected nickname.
"I thought it suited you," he replied, a sly smile gracing his face. "Violets are often associated with grief, mourning, death, and even darkness." He emphasized the last part with a playful wink.
I raised an eyebrow, unsure of how to interpret his words. "And what exactly are you implying with that?"
Ingram's grin widened, his eyes twinkling mischievously. "Oh, nothing too sinister. Just that you have a certain allure, a mysterious aura that draws people in. It's fascinating, really."
I rolled my eyes, not buying his explanation. "Cut the act, Ingram. What are you really up to?"
He sighed dramatically, feigning disappointment. "Always so suspicious, Violet. Can't a man have a little fun?"
I narrowed my eyes at him, not buying his innocent act for a second. "Fun? Terrifying bears and lurking in the shadows? That's your idea of fun?"
Ingram shrugged nonchalantly. "Well, it's not like I have many hobbies. Besides, it's all in the name of science."
I raised an eyebrow, intrigued despite myself. "Science? What kind of science involves scaring bears and dressing up like a character from a noir film?"
Ingram grinned, clearly enjoying the attention. "Experimental psychology, flower. I've been studying animal behavior and the effects of fear on their responses. And let me tell you, it's been quite enlightening."
I couldn't help but be intrigued by his explanation. Despite his eccentricities, Ingram was undeniably intelligent and had a knack for uncovering the mysteries of the natural world. "So, what have you discovered?"
He leaned in closer, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Fear, flower, is a powerful motivator. It can override even the most basic instincts. These bears, for example, are typically fierce and territorial. But in the presence of something they perceive as a greater threat, they retreat."
I nodded, beginning to understand his fascination with fear. "So, you're saying that this figure you've created, this faceless man, is able to put fear in these bears?"
Ingram nodded, a glimmer of excitement in his eyes. "Exactly! It's all about perception. The bears see this figure as a dominant force, someone they can't possibly challenge. And so, they retreat."
With a flick of his wrist, the tall figure wearing a shadowy fedora vanished into thin air.
I couldn't help but be impressed by Ingram's ingenuity and dedication to his research. Despite his unorthodox methods, there was no denying the results he had achieved. I should probably tell him that there was a bear shifting warrior women clan roaming around the forest that my new family had a truce with but I had decided to keep it to myself for now.
Ingram's curiosity got the better of him as he pressed me for an answer. "What brings you to this secluded part of the forest?" he inquired, his voice filled with genuine interest.
I hesitated for a moment. How should I explain this? As I was trying to think of a response, Lenore flapped her wings and flew off the ground and landed on Ingram's shoulder. He gently stroked her feathers, a look of pure delight on his face.
"I... was just walking around," I began.
Ingram's red eyes sparkled with anticipation, eager to hear more. "Just walking around?" he repeated, his voice tinged with curiosity. Lenore, perched on his shoulder, seemed to share his excitement, her wings fluttering softly.
I paused, searching for the right words to convey the truth without revealing too much.
"Oh, you're missing me already, aren't you?" he teased.
"No!" I hastily retorted, my tone inadvertently betraying me.
"Yes, you are," he affirmed, a knowing smile gracing his lips.
"Whatever," I muttered under my breath.
"I must confess, I had secretly hoped to see you again. Although I never expected it to be so soon," Ingram admitted, a touch of vulnerability seeping into his words.
My curiosity only grew stronger, my genuine interest in his presence in this part of the forest compelling me to talk to him more. Lenore, sensing the connection between us, remained perched on his shoulder.
Taking a deep breath, I decided to open up to Ingram. "Joseph, your brother, shared with me about your childhood. How your mother passed away during childbirth and your father was absent for most of your lives."
For a moment, Ingram's gaze hardened but then softened as he looked down at Lenore, gently stroking her feathers. "Yeah, it's been a rough road," he admitted, his voice tinged with sadness.
I felt a pang of sympathy for Ingram, realizing that there was more to him than just his playful banter and charming smile. There was a depth to him that I hadn't seen before, a vulnerability that he rarely showed to others.
"I lost my mother the same way," I revealed. "And my father was even worse. He abused me, but not my half-sister because she didn't killed her mother."
Ingram's eyes widened with a mix of surprise and empathy. "I'm so sorry to hear that," he said softly, his voice filled with genuine concern.
I nodded, feeling a lump forming in my throat. Opening up about my painful past was not something I did often, but there was something about Ingram that made me feel safe, understood.
Ingram took a few steps closer to me. His presence felt comforting, as if he was a shield against the world's cruelty. "We've both endured so much," he murmured, his voice barely above a whisper. "But here we are, standing in this forest, finding solace in each other's company."
I couldn't help but be drawn to him, his vulnerability and understanding creating an unspoken bond between us. It was as if we were two lost souls, finding refuge in the depths of our shared pain.
Ingram reached out, his hand hesitantly brushing against mine. The touch sent a jolt of electricity through my veins, igniting a spark that I hadn't felt in years. It was a simple gesture, but it held so much meaning.
"I never expected to find someone like you," he confessed, his voice filled with sincerity. "Someone who sees beyond the surface, who understands the pain that lies beneath."
"You hardly know me," I replied.
"But sometimes, you just know," he whispered, his gaze unwavering. "Sometimes, the connection is instant, and it feels like destiny."
I couldn't help but smile at his words.
Ingram's hand tightened around mine, his grip firm yet gentle and pulled me into his arms.
"Maybe we're meant to heal each other," he whispered, his voice carrying a hint of hope.
The touch of his hand sent a wave of reassurance through me, as if he were a lifeline in the midst of a storm. It was as if his touch had the power to heal wounds I didn't even know existed, to mend the broken pieces of my soul. In that moment, I felt seen, understood, and accepted in a way I had never experienced before.
As we stood there, our hands intertwined, I couldn't help but feel a sense of vulnerability and trust that I had never felt with anyone else. It was as if he had the ability to peel back the layers of my carefully constructed facade, to see the raw and unfiltered version of myself that I rarely showed to the world.
Ingram's touch was not just physical, but emotional as well. It was a touch that spoke of empathy, compassion, and a deep understanding of the human experience. It was a touch that said, "I am here for you, no matter what."
As I looked into his eyes, I saw a reflection of my own desires and dreams. It was as if he had tapped into a part of me that I had long forgotten, awakening a sense of purpose and passion that had been buried deep within. His touch, his words, his presence, all seemed to ignite a fire within me, urging me to embrace the possibilities that lay ahead.
"Thanks for that, shadow man," I murmured.
Ingram chuckled. "Shadow man?"
"Well, you gave me a nickname, so why not return the favor?"
Lenore's caw echoed through the air, adding a touch of whimsy to the moment. Ingram's laughter filled the air, a sound that was both comforting and infectious. His crimson eyes sparkled with amusement, his voice laced with affection. "I suppose I can embrace that nickname, flower."
I couldn't help but smile at his words.
In that moment, the world around us seemed to fade away, leaving only the two of us standing together in our little bubble of shared understanding and connection. The trees whispered secrets in the breeze, and the moonlight shined in the sky with hues of silver and white, as if nature itself were celebrating our bond.
Ingram squeezed my hand gently, his gaze never wavering from mine. "You know, you have a way of making even the darkest shadows seem less intimidating," he said softly.
"And you, shadow man, make the light seem all the more brilliant," I replied.
We stood there in silence for a moment, the gravity of our connection pulling us closer together. The night seemed to stretch on, each second amplifying the intensity of our shared feelings.
Ingram's hand slipped from mine only to wrap around my waist, pulling me into a gentle embrace. His touch was cold, yet it ignited a warmth deep within my soul. "Are you planning to see me again?" he whispered into my ear.
I leaned into his embrace, feeling the chill of his body contrast with the strange heat that stirred within me. "As often as you'll let me," I whispered back, my breath mingling with the night air.
Ingram pulled back slightly to look into my eyes, his expression a mix of longing and determination. "Then let's make a promise," he said, his voice steady and resolute. "No matter what shadows we face, no matter how dark the night becomes, we will always find our way back to each other."
I nodded. "A promise," I echoed, my voice firm with conviction.
The raven cawed joyfully, her wings fluttering as if applauding our commitment. I couldn't help but giggle. "And I'll see you soon too, Lenore."
Ingram chuckled, his eyes gleaming with amusement. "It seems she has taken a liking to you as well."
A smile graced my lips. "I should return. My coven will surely be worried about my whereabouts."
"Give my regards to my brother," he said with a playful grin.
I nodded, a pang of sadness tugging at my heart as I reluctantly began to untangle myself from Ingram's embrace. "I will," I promised, my voice filled with a mixture of longing and anticipation.
Ingram's hand lingered on my waist for a moment longer before he finally released me, his touch leaving a lingering warmth that I carried with me as I turned to leave. As I walked away, I couldn't help but steal one last glance at him, his figure standing tall and strong against the backdrop of the moonlit night.
The journey back to my coven was filled with a whirlwind of emotions. My mind was consumed with thoughts of Ingram, his touch, his voice, and the vow we had made. I couldn't shake the feeling that our connection was something special, something that transcended the boundaries of time and space.

Two for joy: Chapter 27
[Posting this week's chapter early - I just attended a wedding and am off to smores! Will likely head to bed early due to the drive tomorrow, so figured I'd get this out of the way. This is one of my favorite chapters, so I dearly hope you enjoy!]
Tumblr media
“Oh, thank goodness you’re back!” Tary has Percy by the lapels and is shaking him as soon as the rest of the party steps foot in Whitestone. “Thank goodness - I was almost kidnapped! Stolen away!”
“You were what?!”
--
(Kidnappings become a touch difficult in a city hosting a sizable number of mages for a special occasion.)
(It is perhaps shoddy luck that led it to be Kima who uncovered the deception.)
(Given what happened to one of her own last time a traitor was among their midst, she was not in the most merciful of moods. Kr’yyn’s corpse provided all the insight needed.)
--
“I don’t want you to delay your wedding again,” Tary laments, head in his hands. Doty pats him on the back a few times, bleating “Tary, Tary, Tary ” as gently as a construct can.
Vex also rubs soothing circles over his back, mindful of Doty’s ministrations. “Oh, Goldie, it’s alright -”
“You couldn’t possibly have it without me! I’m your best friend - your man of honor!”
“Yes, that’s true,” she agrees with a little laugh.
“Could we, maybe, visit my family? Once you’re both back from the honeymoon?” Tary asks. “There has to be a reason father hired her, and I - I need to know.”
“Of course, dear.”
“And if more thugs come to Whitestone to take me home?”
Vex smirks. “It’s Whitestone, darling. I’d like to see them try - especially now that we know they’re coming.”

What Do you Mean the Wedding is Still Going On?
Tumblr media
Warnings: None
Copyright: I do not own any Twilight characters or locations. I do own Davina Mikelson and Marcel. I also own the backstory for my OC. I do not condone any copying of this.
Davina P.O.V.
I sat in the living room the next day with Carlisle, Jasper, and Emmett, watching the news. They're were reporting about Seattle at the moment.
A blond news reporter stood on the TV, police car lights on behind her in a dark intersection on a block off street. "Seattle is in a state of terror. Police are baffled by the escalating murders and disappearances. Theories range from a vicious new gang to a wildly active serial killer. Reporting live-"
Carlisle turned the TV off as Edward and Bella came into the room, wrapping an arm around my shoulder where I sat between him and Jasper. "It's getting worse. We're going to have to do something."
Emmett was slowly punching his fist into his hand where he sat on the back of the couch instead of actually sitting on it properly.
"Emmett, sit on the furniture right." I muttered under my breath. Emmett didn't listen to me, shooting me a cocky grin instead.
I hadn't told them about Uncle Josh or Dad or whatever I was supposed to call him. I mean, I told them he had died, I just didn't say Victoria was the one who killed him.
Not that Marcel knew who Victoria was. He had just said there was red hair at the scene that they couldn't match to anyone so I was almost certain it was Victoria. I couldn't really think of anyone else.
The only thing I couldn't figure out was why. Surely she couldn't know what Uncle Josh and Marcel had provided me with, could she?
"It takes more than one of our kind to cause the damage they're reporting." Jasper said, still staring at the blank TV as he said this. "Quite a few more. And they're undisciplined, conspicuous."
"It's newborns." Edward said.
Carlisle looked up and Bella looked between everyone and then asked, "What, like new vampires?"
"In the first few months after the change." Edward explained.
"That's when we're at our most uncontrollable. Vicious. Insane with thirst." Jasper said. Carlisle tightened his arm around me.
"Something to look forward to." Emmett said. I scoffed.
"No one's trained these newborns, but this isn't random." Jasper said.
"Someone's creating an army." Carlisle said softly.
"Well now we're definitely going to Seattle." Emmett said, getting up off the couch excitedly.
"Like what?" I asked angrily. "Today? Absolutely not."
"An army of vampires?" Bella asked skeptically.
"And they've been created to fight someone." Jasper explained.
"Oh wow, let me guess. Hmm, us." I muttered sarcastically under my breath. "Lucky us."
Edward glared at me while Emmett grinned.
"Mom's right. We're the only clan even close to Seattle." Edward said.
"Regardless of why they were made," Carlisle interjected, "if we don't put a stop to them, the Volturi will. I'm surprised they let it go on this long."
"Maybe they're behind it." Edward and I said at the same time.
Edward continued, "In Italy, I read Aro's mind. He wants me, Alice, and Davina to join him but he knows we'll never choose him as long as our family's still alive."
"An army could solve that for him." Jasper said while Carlisle's arm grew even tighter around me still.
I was going to have to enact my plan. And I was going to have to enact it soon.
-----------------------------
I sat on the kitchen counter, snickering as Carlisle wrapped up Bella's hand. "It's just a sprain. It should heal fairly quickly."
I was observing Carlisle. He was wearing a lovely navy blue sweater with a white collar shirt underneath.
Jasper and Emmett walked in and I noticed the contrasting difference between them in their fancy clothes, and Edward in a sweatshirt. Emmett was wearing a gray vest over a gray shirt, with black dress pants. Jasper was wearing the same thing as Carlisle, just in different colours.
"Trying to walk and chew gum at the same time again Bella?" Emmett asked, coming to sit next to me on the counter, pulling me into a side hug.
"I punched a werewolf in the face." Bella said with a slight scoff.
I snickered again.
"Badass. You're gonna be one tough little newborn." Emmett said.
"Tough enough to take you on." Bella jested. I laughed, pushing on Emmett's shoulder but the jokes weren't good for Rosalie who tossed the newspaper aside, walking out the door.
"Don't worry about it." Was all Emmett said.
There was some awkward silence before Edward asked, "Got any new leads?"
"No sign of the intruder. But Victoria continues to make appearances." Jasper said.
I wrapped my arms around Carlisle's neck as he leaned his back against the counter.
Bella left the house to leave the five of us to discussion.
"What about the wolves Mom?" Edward asked.
"If they've found anything they haven't confided it in me. But the last thing Sam said was they didn't have anything." I murmured.
"Mom!" Alice said, running in.
"Yeah?" I asked, unconcerned, kissing the top of Carlisle's head.
"Come on. You need to try on your wedding dress!" Alice said, darting up to me to grab my arm.
"I'm sorry?" I asked, confused, "What now?"
"You're wedding is literally in two days!" Alice scoffed.
"Wait, that's still happening?" I asked, completely taken away.
Alice glared at me, "Why wouldn't it?"
"I- I don't- Seattle- new born vampires- Victoria- Pff- I-"
Alice literally scooped me off the kitchen counter and started pulling me after her.
"Jasper!" I called behind me.
"Sorry Mama." Jasper called back with laughter in his voice.
Upon entering Alice's room, I found Esme waiting for me as well, along with the dress.
"Oh." I whispered, seeing the dress. "Oh, Alice."
"I know." Alice beamed. "It's a little later than the 1640's, closer to the 1700's, but it's close to the style that was done in Carlisle's time. Do you like it?"
"I love it." I whispered, looking at the beautiful wedding dress in front of me.
It was white with long sleeves and a jeweled bodice that was decorated to look like a corset. There were ruffles along the shoulders and the v shape. It was a low V-shape and wouldn't reveal much, but it was also set lower along the shoulders. It came with a pearl necklace that was so small, it was almost like a choker, but I think that was what Alice was going for. There were silver flowers and also white roses on the outside of the dress with was a very fine, see through skirt. The other layers were white silk.

"There will be a train and a veil as well." Alice said giddily.
"Will he like it?" I breathed out.
"He'll love it." Esme assured me.
"Come on! Get dressed! Get dressed!" Alice was pretty much squealing with delight. I quickly undressed, and with Alice and Esme's help, dressed in the wedding dress.
"It fits you perfectly." Esme said.
"I look kind've pale." I muttered.
"Don't worry." Alice said. "Makeup will fix that and if you spend all of tomorrow down at La Push, you'll get a little bit of a tan."
I took her word for it. Maybe I'd get Leah to come sunbathing with me or Seth to go surfing.
"So, um, tell me about the wedding arrangements so I'm not taken by surprise." I said quietly.
"Alright, so," Alice said in delight. "All your bridesmaids will be wearing sky blue."
"I have bridesmaids? As in. . . plural?" I questioned.
"Yep! Me, Rosalie, Emily, and Leah." Alice said happily.
I raised my eyebrows. "Leah said yes to being my bridesmaid? Alongside vampires?"
"Yep." Alice said. "Also, Sam is going to be walking you down the aisle."
I smiled at that. Good old Sam.
"But you will have to pick your maid of honor." Alice said with a shrug.
"How am I supposed to choose?" I asked, confused.
"Well, it can't be a bridesmaid." Alice pointed out. "So that should narrow your options down."
"Esme?" I questioned, "Would you like to be my maid of honor?"
Esme smiled, venom swelling up in her eyes with happiness. "I would love that."
I smiled as Alice helped me out of the wedding dress. "What about the cake?"
Alice snorted, "Vanilla with vanilla icing. Don't worry, I would never forget that."
"It's not going to be over the top, is it?" I questioned carefully.
"Oh no! There's only five layers." Alice replied.
"FIVE!" I asked.
"Well, the wolves love to eat." Alice pointed out.
I paused, "Actually, that's a good point."
"Don't worry, there'll be a lot of food." Alice said. "And Emmett is making sure that there'll be blood too. Since it's us and part of the Denali clan, animal blood will be mixed in with our wine. Meaning that it's mostly blood."
I nodded, "Well at least everyone's going to be happy."
I sighed. I was feeling more and more nervous with every passing moment.
"Don't be nervous." Alice said. "It'll be great. You two absolutely love each other."
"I know." I said, taking in a shuddering breath. "Does Marcel have a part to play in all of this? Or is he not coming anymore?"
"He is. He would've walked you down the aisle but I told him about Sam and about your Uncle Joshua/ Dad relationship thing." Alice said. "I hope you don't mind. Anyways, he thinks it's fair that Sam walks you instead. All the other guests are Quiluete, Courtney and her family from the hospital, Charlie of course, and then I invited Angela and Eric because I know you like them."
I smiled, "You did good Alice."
I checked the clock, "I ought to go."
"Alright, you'll be coming back here, right?" Alice asked.
"Maybe." I said slowly, not wanting to make promises. "We'll see. I'll call though, if I'm not so Carlisle doesn't worry."
"Alright." Both Alice and Esme hugged and kissed my cheek.
Once I was in my SUV though, all the other emotions left me. I drove to Seattle.
---------------
I hunkered down in the back of my car, connecting my laptop to the WIFI of one of the nearby buildings.
I was parked in an alleyway, the car lights off and locked. It wouldn't stop much, but it was enough. I had my gun, stake, and lighter beside me.
I wasn't stupid. I wasn't going to attempt killing anything. But I had to be in Seattle for this plan to work.
I carefully attached the drone to my laptop, setting up a recording process. I had crossed off sections of Seattle with a red marker. I knew exactly where I needed the drone to go.
Marcel and Uncle Josh- for lack of anything better to call him- had given me the army codes to Seattle. These were codes to the high tech security cameras that the army had planted. They had these in every city, in every nook and cranny because. . . well the Government liked to keep tabs on people.
But I wasn't look for people.
I put on a pair of headphones, getting ready with the controller if need be. I scrolled through the laptop, working methodically until I saw a blur on the camera. I paused, clicking the screen into rotation and watched.
In the frame, there was a blue car that upside down, several people were on the screen. There was on, standing with the car door above his hand and I watched- and recorded- as he slammed it into the ground.
Two of the people dropped another, who fell lifeless to the floor. I quickly turned up the audio as the man started to speak, "Something's coming."
His voice was smooth. I quickly upgraded the camera quality with an amplifier. I recognized his face, he was on all the missing posters in Seattle. Charlie was working on his case. Riley something.
"Something bigger than any of us alone. And if you can't control yourselves, we're all going to die." He finished the lovely sentence. He shook his head, looking at the damage they had caused and said, "What's done is done, just clean up after yourselves." He waved a hand at the fire that was set behind the car and the human bodies in the alleyway. I shuddered.
He moved out of the frame and I quickly clicked to the next frame, to see if I could track him. Instead, I was met with another site.
It was a side view of the bridge, revealing that there were four, cloak wearing vampires standing there. I recognized all of them and froze, afraid all of a sudden they would realize I was watching them. Felix and Demetri were on the outsides with Alec and Jane on the inside. They were staring down at the mess the vampires were making.
I quickly clicked over to the camera closer to them, double checking to make sure that the laptop was still recording. I wanted to be able to hear them.
"They've already drawn too much attention." Demetri spoke first. I loved Demetri. Not like Carlisle of course, nothing like Carlisle. But if I could have a favorite in the Volturi clan- Demetri was it. I almost considered him an ally.
"So has our inaction." Felix said and he was right. It was making the Cullens suspicious. "Others may begin to question the Volturi's effectiveness."
"Let them." Jane said and my eyes widened. I turned up the volume to make sure I was hearing this properly.
Felix turned his back, walking away from them and said, "Maybe we should consult with Aro."
Jane turned to face him and Felix suddenly fell to his knees, his back arched in pain.
"Aro's decisions are being watched." Jane said.
SO THEY KNEW!
She let go of Felix and he fell flat on his face.
"We must decide." Jane said.
My heart was beating in my chest, my body shaking.
Alec stepped forward, placing a hand on Jane's shoulder, "Then decided sister. It's time."
"Yes it is." Jane said. Her voice was to girly and light for a monster. Her and Alec turned back to overlook the destruction while Felix got to his feet. "Either we let them do what they were created for, or we end them."
She made it sound like she was deciding what she should have for breakfast tomorrow morning.
"Decisions, decisions."
I was literally holding my breath. If she decided not to end them, then we would have to end them. And it meant that the Volturi- at least Jane and Alec- were willing to let the Cullens be destroyed.
And then, they were gone. I gasped and then quickly changed frame rates and I found them, leaving the city. I shuddered. They were going to let the vampires live. This- this was not good at all.
-----------------------
I was dressed, once again, in my wedding dress. Except this time, Rosalie was in the room too. Rosalie was working on making the curls that Carlisle favored over every other hair style. Esme was helping wherever she could while Alice did my makeup.
My heart was beating out of my chest. They all thought it was nerves for the wedding. But I was terrified about the Volturi's decision. I remembered Edwards' words very clearly. Aro wanted me, Edward, and Alice by his side. If Rose, Em, Esme, Jas, and Carlisle were dead, we might go. Well. . . they would. I would not. I knew I could not live without Carlisle.
If Carlisle were to die before I was a vampire, I would move to La Push. Becoming active in the werewolves. I had thought once I might go to Volterra, become one of them, maybe even be with Demetri should fate allow it. But this. . . this wasn't Carlisle deciding he didn't want to be with me. No, this was Jane deciding my family should be ended.
I would never be allies with someone like that. For me to become one of the Volturi, Jane would have to die.
Alec too.
And Aro would never kill them.
"Davina, breathe." Alice said and I popped my eyes open, remembering where I was. "It's not that big of a deal."
"Right. No. Of course." I muttered.
Alice pursed her lips and said to Esme, "Leah and Emily are here."
Esme nodded and she was gone. I had told Leah and Emily that Esme would help them. Emily was quite fine with this, though Leah was far more reluctant. But I told Leah she would be Less annoyed with Esme working on her than if Alice or Rose worked with her and she reluctantly agreed.
The Denali clan was not here yet- and they would also show up straight to the church. Marcel on the other hand, was already here, chatting with Carlisle and the others downstairs. He hadn't met Rose or Esme yet- probably wouldn't until we got to the church.
Jacob, Paul, and Jared had laughed their asses off about me marrying a vampire in a church. Snickering about holy water and crosses. I had glared at them silently until they had become very quiet.
Once Alice started working on my eye makeup, I closed my eyes, slipping back to thinking about my short time in Seattle and working the cameras. I had downloaded the file several times, backing it up on different devices, sending it to several different emails, and downloading it onto six different flash drives. I had given one to Sam, telling him to keep it safe. I had also given one to Billy, telling him to keep it safe. Carlisle had one and I had hidden the other three. I had also told Sam, Billy, and Carlisle not to look at them unless I said so, saying they were useless for now.
I kept my thoughts controlled around Edward so that even he didn't know what I knew.
I wasn't entirely sure why I was keeping this a secret. Maybe because Carlisle believed in the Volturi so much and their laws. I didn't want to crush his faith.
Everything came back to Carlisle.
I wanted to know who Riley was working for. If it wasn't the Volturi. . . was it Victoria?
"Okay." Rose whispered, "The men left for the church. And Sam is here."
I stood up, slipping on the white, cream coloured heels that Rose had let me borrow. The dress was new. Esme had gifted me an old pair of pearl earrings that she never wore and thought I would enjoy. Not to mention, it would match my pearl choker and they were also something old.
I just needed something blue.
Sam was waiting for me at the foot of the stairs, along with Leah and Emily, both wearing dresses of sky blue. Alice had made sure that each girl got a dress that made her look absolutely stunning and though I was the girl of the day, Sam was having a hard time keeping his eyes off of Emily.

"You look beautiful." Sam said, kissing my cheek. He looked absolutely wonderful in his black suit. He was wearing a light blue tie to match the dresses and I was going to guess Alice had forced him into wearing it.
I smiled, kissing his cheek back. "Thank you Sammy."
"Davina." Marcel's voice came. He was in his military uniform and I smiled.
"Hey." I whispered. Alice was fixing the veil slightly.
"This is for you. Something blue. You can keep it." Marcel chuckled, holding out a pin.
"Your Combat Infantry badge." I whispered, taking the badge and handing it to Alice. She fixed it in with my hair, near the crown with the veil. "Thank you."
"It's not mine." Marcel said softly. "It was your fathers."
I felt the lump in my throat grow and Alice growled, "If you make her cry I will rip your head off."
Marcel chuckled. He had that infectious laugh so I laughed too. Alice sighed, "Time to get to the church before you start crying."
I rolled my eyes at Sam.
Once we were at the church, I found myself even more nervous than before. Marcel went off to sit in the crowd. Esme was already at the alter- she had left before us. Rosalie, Alice, Leah, and Emily prepared to walk down the aisle and I felt like throwing up.
"Davina, everything is going to be fine." Sam said.
"No, I know." I muttered, lacing my arm through his as the band started to play and my bridesmaids left. "Thank you."
"For what?"
"Being here. I know. . . I know this isn't the particular marriage you would've wanted me to do. So it means a lot, that you're here, supporting me." I whispered.
"He makes you happy. And I know he'll both protect you and he won't hurt you. And I love you enough to want you to be happy, even if he is a vampire."
I chuckled and then there was the cue for us to start walking. "Sam?"
"Yeah?"
"Don't let me fall."
"I won't."
Sam and I walked down the aisle, through the parting curtain, and my breath caught in my throat upon seeing Carlisle.
He was wearing a black satin suit, a crisp white shirt underneath, and a white tie to match the colour of my dress.
His eyes lit up, a small knowing smile on his face as he looked at me. I was suddenly thankful for the veil that gave my face some coverage, because I was sure that my cheeks were bright red.
Sam kept his grip firm, his skin hot under his suit, but not uncomfortable. I knew it would be a short time before I was ice cold and we wouldn't be able to touch each other. So I relished in it. We reached the end of the line and Sam took my hand, placing it in Carlisle's out stretched hand.
"Take care of her Carlisle." Sam said in a husky voice.
"Forever." Carlisle murmured.
Sam knew he would keep that promise.
Sam let go of my hand, going to sit with the Quileutes on the opposite side of the room as the vampires.
The priest- completely and totally human by the way knowing nothing of the two secrets- was the one to conduct the ceremony.
Honestly, I didn't even hear anything he even said. All I knew was that it felt like I was standing there for years until Carlisle said, "I do."
Oh shit. Did I miss my part?
"Davina Michaelson, will you have this man to be your husband, to live together in holy marriage? Will you love him, comfort him, honor, and keep him in sickness and in health, and forsaking all others, be faithful to him as long as you both shall live?" The priest asked.
There were so many things wrong with this vow and I was surprised that Alice hadn't asked him to change it. But I supposed as I had grown up Methodist, it was the one thing for me. Everything else- the church, the ring, the dress, the veil, the train, everything was Catholic for Carlisle. This one vow was Methodist for me.
"I do." I whispered.
"Then by the power vested in me by the holy spirit, I pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
My heart was beating out of my chest as Carlisle raised his hands, sweeping the veil back with ease before capturing my lips with his own. My eyes fluttered shut as I basked in the kiss. And then, we slowly pulled apart as the crowd started to clap. I could hear wolf whistling from the wolves and Carlisle and I both laughed lightly together.
Slowly, everything melted into reception. There were endless dances of course. Carlisle and I opened up the dance naturally. He was a flawless dancer and his strength gave him the ability to make sure I could dance just as smoothly, even if I wasn't moving my own feet.
Sam naturally danced with me next and I took alternative turns with my vampire children and my wolf children with Carlisle in between every single one of them.
Jared had brought Kim, never letting her go until he danced with me. Embry took her for a spin, one of the only people Jared probably would trust with Kim. Wolves didn't go after other wolves mates.
Carlisle also introduced me to the Denali clan. There were four- as Irina wasn't here- and they were stringently avoiding the wolves, seeming disgusted- at least Tanya and Kate were- with my friendship with them, though they made sure not to show in front of me. It was poorly disguised though. Neither Carmen nor Eleazar seemed particularly bothered with it though.
Eleazar had once been part of the Volturi. He reminded me a bit like Felix, with the height, build, black hair colour, and even the way his hair was styled. Carmen was also dark haired, which was in contrast to Tanya and Kate's blondness. The only difference was that Tayna's hair was curled while Kate's was straight.
I admit to getting slightly jealous when Tanya and Kate danced with Carlisle, but I made sure not to show it. It didn't matter. This was our wedding and Carlisle would never cheat on me.
I noticed however, that Marcel and Esme danced quite a few dances together and I stopped to observe them, a smirk on my face. After the last dance, Marcel kissed the back of Esme's hand before catching my eye and heading over.
"What's that look for?" He asked, holding his hand out for me to dance.
"See someone you like?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.
Marcels already dark cheeks flushed darker. "She is quite a beauty." He sighed, "But I don't know if she likes me or if she was simply indulging me."
"Esme doesn't play with feelings." I said softly. "And at the same time. . . there are certain mindsets you ought to prepare for if you were to. . . become far more intimate with her. She is very. . . old-fashioned."
"Like Carlisle." Marcel nodded.
"Exactly." I muttered.
"What century is your dress style after?" Marcel asked in blatant curiosity.
"The late 1600s, early 1700s." I answered calmly. "You like?"
"You look absolutely lovely." Marcel assured me. He smiled a little and then said, "It is much better than what others had planned originally."
Yes, Azim's mother had been planning our wedding for some time even when he hadn't proposed. She had shown me traditional wedding clothes from Iraq. There was a headdress I was required to wear and the veil wasn't supposed to be lifted higher than my lips. Not to mention she had picked a wedding dress that covered every inch of my skin.
"I'm happy." I whispered. "I've never been so happy and it. . . sometimes I wonder if there is something wrong with me."
Marcel shook his head, "Nothing at all beloved. You are simply in love. True love."
The dance ended and Marcel kissed my cheek. I smirked, "Tell Esme I said hi, won't you?"
Marcel glared at me before smirking and making his way back to Esme.
"Davina!" Alice sang, dancing over. "It's time to cut the cake!"
The cake was huge naturally. It had five layers, just as Alice had said and each layer was a different flavor. But apparently the top and bottom were both vanilla. The flowers were also frosted- not real like I originally thought- sticking to the cake. The leaves were also edible, along with all the other decorations make of fondue.
Tumblr media
Carlisle stood behind me, one arm wrapped around my waist, the other over my hand as we cut down into the cake. I shoved a piece of cake into his mouth- as custom- and he swallowed it without making a face, which was impressive. He gave me a much smaller piece- he was far nicer than I was- and it was absolutely delicious.
We fed the wolves cake last- so that the other guests would have some- while all the vampires said they were 'full'.
Originally with the garter and flower toss, we had wanted to do Emily and Sam on purpose. However, with Leah in the crowd, I didn't want to hurt her. So instead, Carlisle shimmied the garter down my leg, making me blush bright red and sent it straight into Edward's face. Meanwhile I turned my back, flinging the bouquet high into the air, straight into Bella's unsuspecting hands.
Leah sent me a look that said 'thanks'. I nodded slightly, smiling a little before Carlisle swooped in for another dance.
"Your brother is getting to close to my sister." Carlisle grumbled, pulling me flush against his chest.
I glanced over my shoulder quickly to see that Marcel and Esme were dancing together once again. Esme, being my maid of honor, was wearing a light blue dress to match the bridesmaids, but hers had more flourish and jewels down the front. It was also make mostly of almost see through silk instead of light blue fabric. She looked stunning in it and Marcel wasn't the only man in attendance that couldn't keep his eyes off of her. Billy Black looked rather reluctant that he couldn't dance, before quickly turning his attention to something else every time he realized he was staring. But his eyes always seemed to drift back to Esme.
Tumblr media
Personally, I though either Billy or Marcel could make Esme happy. But I also thought that with the complications, Billy would technically be better. She wouldn't have to explain to him about vampires and werewolves- he already knew.
The flipside would be if the Volturi found out about their relationship and whether they would make Billy be a vampire or not. I wondered if Billy would choose love over morals or if he would rather die. I also wondered if becoming a vampire would heal his legs and make him able to walk.
Marcel on the other hand was literally born to be a vampire. You had to be with the name 'Marcel'. In The Originals, the character with the name 'Marcel' was the head vampire and by the end of it, became a very powerful vampire. More powerful than the Mikelsons.
But then there was also the complication of actually telling Marcel about vampires and werewolves. Not to mention, once again, the idea of whether he would actually want to be a vampire and also the Volturi.
"Does it bother you?" I asked him slightly.
He looked down at me, his golden eyes penetrating, his smile warm. "No." He bent down to kiss me. "I say we should leave, don't you?" Carlisle chuckled, kissing me underneath my ear.
"Most certainly. Before Lord pops out and things escalate in front of the crowd." I teased. We were just going to sneak out of the reception, but Emmett, Jasper, Edward, and Alice stopped us, forcing us to walk out the front doors, running as they- and everyone else- threw rice. And unfortunately with both vampires and werewolves in the crowd, the handfuls were rather accurate.
"Remind me whenever they all get married to return the favor." I muttered as Carlisle and I slipped into the car and he sped out of the church parking lot. I took off my shoes, dumping the rice out the window.
Carlisle chuckled, sweeping one hand over my hair. Rice grains cascaded down and I sighed, shaking my head. "Vampires have excellent senses and all, but I'm telling you you're never going to get all the rice grains out."
"No, probably not." Carlisle laughed.
"So. Where are going?" I prompted. "I thought we weren't going to have a honeymoon?"
"It's not an official one." Carlisle agreed. "We're going to California."
"Very sunny." I said slowly. "Excellent excuse for us to stay inside all day."
Carlisle smirked, "Duly noted love."
I pulled out my phone, opening up Wattpad, and selecting a Harry Potter fanfiction to read.
"I'll leave you alone if you tell me the title of the book you're reading." Carlisle smirked, snaking one hand over to grab one of mine. It was hard to read with one hand, but I didn't mind as I loved holding his hand more.
I paused, knowing very well I couldn't just say it was a oneshot called Our Naughty Little girl between Severus x Remus x Y/N.
"Er. Midnight Tasting." I lied. "By um ."
"Never heard of it." Carlisle sounded intrigued and I tried not to burst into a fit of nervous giggles.
"Oh well, um, it's not like. . . a real story. It's called a fanfiction. Where people take other people's stories and they um. . . change them to fit better. Like um. . ." I wracked my brain to see if I could figure out a famous fandom that he knew. "Well I guess like the Vampire Diaries that we've been watching. Some people ship Stefan and Elena. Others ship Damon and Elena. So sometimes, they'll write stories that don't go with how the tv show went. Or other times, they'll invent a whole character and stick them in the book and change some of the events. And other times, they will write stories that make it sound like you're in the story. They use 'Y/N' which means 'your name.'"
"Huh." Carlisle said, speeding down the highway. "That's very interesting."
I flushed, "Yeah. My favorite are the mature ones. They're um. . . more detailed oriented."
I grinned because he had no idea what I was saying. I finished reading the oneshot, feeling thoroughly aroused before moving onto another story. Damn, not smut.
I hated being robbed.
