Jade most definitely has a favorite handkerchief just to (fake) cry into. Floyd got it for him and there’s a little eel embroidered on the corner. It’s stuffed into the inside pocket of his suit jacket for easy access in theatrics. It’s effective.

Jade my love, this is gonna be so random BUT...

I've been rereading your Zombie AU for the first time in forever - I know, everybody else is like "aw Christmas, time for hallmark" and I'm overhere like 'hmmh yes zombie guts and Angst, perfekt for this time of year' - and jesus fucking christ, I forgot how mean Steve was at first!

I know they occasionally mention that he was a bitch, but damn. I must have repressed that memory. He's been so nice recently that I, not unlike r herself, must've forgotten how snappy and moody and grumpy he was.

After the third chapter, I was like, "Hot damn, Steven. At this point, I'd have fed you to a to a bloody zombie myself. How dare you talk to us like this, who tf do you think you are".

And I know he makes up for it after a while, I do, but geez Louise. I kind of want to wrestle him, just to make him snap out of it quicker. I swear I could do it, I'm not a fighter, but I'm heavy and most willing to fight a dirty. (Just a tiny smidge, of course, I shan't hurt him... too much. Just that ego of his. A teeny tiny bit 👌🏻)

I think I sort of forgot at points but it’s also a big reason why I made him say sorry so much later on because he really was quite mean sometimes! It’s one of those things I think where it’s up to you in your head to decide what’s alright with you, I think reader knows he was a big huge dick to her but she also ended up falling for him in spite of his attitude problem cos she could see he wasn’t just a bitch and that he was so stressed! and there’s probably much more I could say in both his defence and also against him but hopefully you know what I’m saying without all the fuss cos it’s not like you asked for me to explain it to you you just got me thinking about them!!

"...'s that for me?" It's so... gaudy. A hairdryer may have been appreciated, but the diamonds encrusted into it made it seem like Jade was just flexing his money. For once, Leona was speechless, uncertain if he's meant to feel insulted, grateful, confused, or all of the above.

Perhaps Jade had scooped it up at the last minute from Sam's shop. Or perhaps the guy was trying to put him in debt to him with the amount of zeroes on the still-attached price tag. Or (most likely) Jade was just toying with him as he typically would. After all, his birthday is the prime time to bother him with some nonsense.

Either way, he accepts the hairdryer, an amused smirk beginning to tug at his lips as he recovers from the initial shock. "Gee thanks. Don't really go for flashy stuff like this, but if it works, it works. Not sure how long this'll last in my room. Got a thief or two that like snooping 'round for stuff like this~"

Huh. This new technique I'm using. It adds into an extra step into my writing process but it's kinda rad. Sadly i still have to know most of the stuff in my head as usual but it's pretty rewarding in the end when I trim up the edges. I'm still on hiatus for DMR it's probably not gonna come back for a while (and might even rebrand once again though i highly doubt it) I'm just writing another dog man related fic.
