The Donnie-inspired outfit I wore to Phoenix Fan Fusion today! It was one of my first times sewing an entire outfit, so I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.

(I'm too shy to post my actual face online... but just imagine purple makeup and some rectangles!)

Robin Hobb's convention schedule 2024

Robin Hobb will be attending several conventions in the US and making a virtual visit to Greece this year! Here is a list of her planned 2024 events - for more details visit the blog on her website.

- Emerald City Comic Con from February 29th to March 3 in Seattle, WA. Robin will be on a panel with Jody Houser and others on Friday and doing signings on Saturday.

- Phoenix Fan Fusion from May 24th to 26th in Phoenix, Arizona

- Isle of Wonder from June 28th to 30th in Cres, Croatia. This will be a virtual appearance only, more details to be announced.

- San Diego Comic Con from July 24 to 28th in San Diego, CA

I was Miss Piggy on Friday (did an outfit that looked like Buttercup from the Power Puff Girls for the 80s 90s dance), was Lucy-free on Saturday, and Wally on Sunday.

So much cool art, cool people, and just an overall great time.

Had a great time at Phoenix Fan Fusion this year! Along side my usual schtick with the @arizonaautobots, the con officially hired me to wear their two robot mascot costumes, Sunset and Meteor! So, if you tried to find me and couldn't, it was probably because I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off, lol!

Would you like your creation on display in a museum?

Would you like to help a super awesome PhD candidate complete her dissertation?

Would you like a great excuse to further procrastinate that thing you've been procrastinating?

All of these and more are great reasons to participate in Affirmation/Transformation: Fandom Created, an exhibition at Marquette University's Haggerty Museum of Art. (You do NOT need to be an artist, or even someone who creates art to participate!) Write a story, write a song, design a cosplay, create a fancy manicure, make a meme, make a stop-motion video, choreograph a dance, make a SuperWhoLock gif fic, or anything else your heart can dream up.

Your creation must follow only one rule: It must be inspired by a fusion of 1. any fandom of your choice, and 2. one of the featured Haggerty pieces (click the link to see them!)

Completed works are due July 1, 2024. The exhibition will run August 23rd-December 22nd, 2024, and will be available to view in person and online.

Wow what a year. 2024 was full of new adventures! I had the honor of working with some lovely art directors at DC and at Dark Horse Comics. Thank you really, I never thought I would have such an amazing opportunity. I traveled to vend outside of the Pacific Northwest for the first time in my 10 years of vending! You made me feel so welcome at C2E2 in Chicago and at phoenix fan fusion in Arizona. I love making art and it’s so cool to be able to make connections with people through my art and fandoms. This coming year I have more vending in other states lined up! (Along with returning to phoenix fan fusion 2025)😁 I hope for 2025 I am able to sketch and create more and more freely. I hope you all have a happy new year 🎊 💕🎉
