I'm seeing a lot of fancast for Gabrielle with women around Sam age,since they changed Lestat's age shouldn't she at least be in her 50'-60's?

What is your fancast for her,for Akasha and Enkil? Just for fun .

Well... I did fancasts a while ago here, but of course there's a lot of possibilities. Monica Belucci (who both Sam and Jacob said they wanted as Gabrielle!!), or of course Gillian Anderson.

Enkil I cannot really narrow down, but Akasha... the thing is Aaliyah did a fantastic job. Best thing about the movie, hands down, OST second.

Seriously. If they manage to reach that level with whoever I'll be more than happy.

As a note, Akasha is book canonically from Iran/Kuweit, and someone suggested Sevdeliza... I talked about that here, but I still think that would be very cool:

Sometimes I wonder if Bryan Cranston could be a good choice for an old Bruce Wayne both live action and voice acting (he voices Chief in isle of dogs) considering how he can be both goofy and wholesome (fitting for Bruce’s playboy persona) and frighting/intimidating (fitting for a rougher Batman)

But I’m not entirely sure. What are your thoughts? I’m just kind of brainstorming right now

…I mean it’s not a stretch, despite him looking different in like every panel of the comics there are several frames where it’s totally obvious the character design was at least partly based on lenny.

Do you have any fan casts for Katana? I feel like Kimiko Glenn is a good if obvious choice, but do you have any ideas?

Honestly, I don't, only because there may be a voice actor out there (in the industry or not) that could surprise me. There are so many talented people out there, and one could pop up out of nowhere and knock everyone's socks off. When I write these fancomics, I imagine Katana's voice to be a little graggly like the other gargoyles. But for her official voice, that's all up to Greg Weisman. I'm just a fan whose love language is comics.

ooh, okay, so I've answered this before, but I've got some updated answers. I'd like to also highlight @giblimort's work. I just adore their Remus and Teddy Lupin. I like my Remus a little haunted looking, personally.

now, the problem is, I think most actors are too pretty looking for fan casts. all the actors I could think of were also older.

one of these days I'm going to try to use AI or get better at learning actors' names, but these are the ones I got for the Lupin fam. I still stand by a young Hugh Bonneville for Ted, and a young Helena Bonham Carter for Andromeda.

I want this too!! I actually have a Pinterest board full of hundreds of faces, for exactly this purpose. It's HARD to find someone who looks like a character, and I need options. I want to provide it as a resource for other people to use too. Here's the board. And here is its counterpart, which has people from historical and fantasy costume shows. I usually cast my characters based on a still photo, not based on personality. I haven't seen very many shows, so I usually know nothing about the actors in question. I cast them based on whether they look like a character, not whether they act like a character. Which might be a bad idea, but it works for me. I'm also really sick of celebrities and models, like OP expressed. So I want more variety. I've tried to add some obscure ones and "professional actor headshots" of ordinary people. Feel free to use my Pinterest database of faces, if you're so inclined! It's a good start for finding people who look like your characters. I'd love to hear about it if it helps anyone, since Pinterest is not a very social or communal space.

Fun thing to exist would be a "help with fancasts" community space. I often want to fancast a book or something, or look for an actor who can be a visual reference for a character I'm writing. I am hindered in this by the fact that I have only seen about three shows. (This is an exaggeration but you know what I mean.) If you try to search the general internet, it's easy to find very big-name actors, but fancasts with the same six famous people over and over are also not very fun. It would be cool to have a blog, or a forum thread, or something, where I could write in with my "casting call" and people could suggest their favorites.

(I know you'd get a lot of people saying "my blorbo's actor would be perfect!!" for every single role. But I kind of do want to hear about people's blorbos' actors, especially if they're more niche.)

Wait, is this the kind of thing Tumblr Communities are for? Maybe?
