Can't stop thinking about a DDLC inspired story starring Hail True body. Mark joins a book club started by Cesar and he goes on a journey of self discovery along with the other club members. Nothing bad ever happens to them. Mark gets to be happy in his own skin. :)
Another idea I can't stop thinking about is a Fear of the Deep crossover with I Know What You Did Last Summer. Basically, the plot is that a group of teens accidentally ran someone over with their car. They cover it up and they try to move on like nothing ever happened. Then, a serial killer pops up and starts killing them off one by one.
Dylan: Uhh... Guys, I think I hit someone.
Cain: Ya think?!

The Amazing Candy Canyon Kingdom (Super After)
youtube
(Of Course, Spoiler Alert! Watch This V.D.O.(Virtual, Dynamic, adventurOus.) And If You Know Me And Gooseworx Well, You Can Understand This Lolli-Post.)
Howdy, Everyone! I Told You Before, I've Been Waiting For This For A Long, Long Time, So I'm Going To Be Watch This For The Next Three Days. But I Couldn't Waitin' Three Days. (Cuz I Like Caine And Pomni)
This Digital Amastic (Amazing And Fantastic) Show Is Goin' To Have Episode 9. Because Jax's Voice Actor, Michael Kovach Wanted Episode Featuring The Sea.
Also, I Found 6.4 Another-Advanced-Adventurous-Advantages In This Eclair-Pisode.
1. It Was Revealed Why Caine Sent Pomni The Nervous Clown, Jax The Dreaded Hare, Ragatha The Jax Caller, Kinger The All-Possible King, Gangle The Smiley-Misery-Saddery-Tear Master. (Zooble Did Not Join This Adventure. Because She Hated It.) Because Candy Canyon Kingdom's Most Valuable Resource, Maple Syrup Been Robbed! (I Was Shock-Prised Again, I Like Maple Syrup. Personally, I Like Chocolate Maple Syrup The Best.)
2. Brand New Goofy Characters. They're So Geeky As A Gloinks! Gummigoo Is Leader Of "The Syrup Bandits". They're Tryin' To Steal The Maple Syrup Truck. Princess Loolilalu Is The Queen-Shaped Princess. She Is Cheered By The Mannequins Of The Candy Canyon Kingdom. And My Favorite Character In This Kingdom Is "Fudge Monster", "Fudge"! He Can Doin' Too Acrobatic Fudge-Moves! With Melting Voice, Interesting Design, Ravenous Mouth, Blobby-Spits. And Totally Greatest Dinner END!!! (I'm Not Jax. Just, Whatever.)
3. Dashing Mad-Maxing Truck Scene. Rollcake Truck VS Snack Truck! It Was Such A Cool Scene! Jax's Waffle-Zooka Shot The Max. Gummigoo Shift The Engine To "Rocky Road". Max's Continuity Poses To Follow The Snack Truck. Gummigoo's Western Tough-Voices. Pomni's Double Swearing With Ugly Faces. (Jax, You Booty...! (Yes, I 'Hear'ded.) Are You Guys Trying To (Small Boink Sound)UCKING KILL ME?!) Kinger's Life Buoy And Anchor With Ropes. Drift-Fallout! And Fudge-Splorch!
4. Gummigoo And Pomni In Literally Digital World Scene. There, Gummigoo Realized That His, His Family, His Memory, And His Life Were All Just A Fake. I Thought This Sounded Weirdo-Noncence. But I Understood His Felling Feelings A Little. And The Scene Where Pomni Was By His Side Persuading And Comforting Him Felt Quite Fainting Paint. Kaufmo's Funeral Too.
5. Jax Seems To Have Become Twice Or Thrice As Evil Genius! He Wants More Violence. He Blamed Gangle. Hate Wholesome. He Think Bad Point Is A Great Point. He Hope Most Among The Worlds Caine Creates Is, "One Big, Final Battle. Bloodshed. Death. CHAOS!" And Unbelievably Disappointed By Fudge Monster's Death. He Didn't Even Attend Kaufmo's Funeral. And Fudge Monster Revived, Kingdom Doors Opened, And Candy Canyon Kingdom Was Turn Into CANDY CANYON KILLDOM!! What Can I Say, I Think He's Becoming More And More Like Me. (Not A Joke) Except For Blaming. I Have No Complaints There.
youtube
6. Do You Watch The "POMNI WAKE UP TIME TO GO ON AN ADVENTURE"? In This V.D.O.(i said, Virtual, Dynamic, adventurOus.) Showing Kinger With A ShotGun! Jax's Minimum Wage Labor! Orbsman! Recorder! Ghosts! But Episode 2, There Were No ShotGun And Minimum Wage Labor And Orbsman, Recorder, And Ghosts. Well, I Understand Because I Gets Complicated If Glitchworx Put All Of This At Once. I Hope Episode 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, And 9.
6.1. Zooble Always Replaces Its Zooble-Parts Every Hour And Day, And Stores The Parts In The "Zooble Box".
6.2. Who Knew Gangle Could Drive A Truck? I Guessed Jax.
6.3. Do You Know About "Fudge"? Fudge Is A Soft Sweet Candy Made From Sugarly Sugar, Buttery Butter, And Milk. It Resembles Caramel, They're So Brown Like A Thick Mud.
6.4. JAX!!
And That's All I Know About The Amazing Candy Canyon Kingdom And Other Things I Found.
Episode 3 Is Said To Be Zooble's Episode, And Since I Find Out Zooble Was A Tattoo Artist Before Joins The Amazing Digital Circus. There's A Possibility That The Amazing Digital Zooblore Will Be Based On This Past.
And It Looks Like Episode 3 Will Come Out Around September Of October.
SO LOOK FORWARD TO IT!
[TO BE CONTINUED IN THE AMAZING MYSTERY OF MILDENHALL MANOR!]

Chapter 15- Part 3
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, now I just have the image of Xera in the Family Guy death pose while unconscious in the cage, which is funny enough to make me feel a little better about these circumstances.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sometimes I love when the player character acts without my input- Xera moving towards Fern like that in response to his taunting? That was all cutscene stuff, that was Xera, that anger and annoyance was real.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m…not sure what to comment on first- Fern’s overwhelming pettiness or the fact that the game actually gives you the option to do what he says.
As curious as I am to see what would happen if you accept, it’s much more in-line with Xera’s character to be defiant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
WHAT THE- HE ACTUALLY LEFT??? He actually left! He is actually just leaving her in there! I…I feel like I should be upset, but I’m honestly kinda impressed? The sheer audacity of just leaving the protagonist in a trap like that- now that’s a power move if I’ve ever seen one.
But let’s see- where are Xera’s Pokémon? The Nuzleaf didn’t take them, did they?
Tumblr media
Oh good, they’re still there. Does that mean we can use Cut on the cage?
Or…not. I’m moving around and clicking on everything, but nothing’s coming up. Are you seriously telling me Cut won’t do anything here? On these tiny, thin sticks? I can’t use the Pokémon in any way here?? Caldera can burn right through this with just her-
Tumblr media
…Hello, birb? What’s this cutscene about, now?
Hey- hey, it’s hopping onto the switch! Hey now, hey-
Tumblr media Tumblr media
…Cool??? Thanks, random Chatot??? Random Chatot that was apparently specifically commanded to free Xera, somehow??
…Hey, wait- Taka mentioned going to Rhodochrine Jungle…and he used a Chatot…and he seems to be not entirely on Team Meteor’s side to some extent…
Was that Taka’s Chatot??? Why else would a Chatot have been used here? That’s a very specific Pokémon to use!
Tumblr media
Oh yeah, and the switches can be interacted with, I guess- good to know in case we need to open or close any cages in the future. Now that Xera’s free, time for exploration and to find out where the heck in the jungle we are!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Hidden items galore! Maybe it’s the game apologizing for Xera being thrown into two cages in the span of two minutes. …Why did the Nuzleaf change which cage she was in, anyways-?
Tumblr media
Huh!? Cain!? What in the world is he doing here!? I thought he was doing stuff in that wasteland place! How’d he end up trapped here??
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yeah, I could say the same thing for you, buddy!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
That’s not true, you made that up for notes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Oh- that’s…actually very nice of him! What a pleasant surprise, no complaining there!
Though, speaking of Victoria- is she being held captive here in Rhodochrine? There certainly seem to be enough cages to go around…

Wait wait I literally have a whole internal brain map when it comes to the whole messed up celestial family.
(putting in under the cut because it got long... So sorry op 😅)
So to me it makes sense that first Chuck dabbled and created Eve (not Adam And Eve eve, the other Eve) then came the Leviathan ECT.
During this time is when I think Chuck creates Purgatory to lock away Eve/the Leviathan and all those guys, and the reason why I think it happens around this time is because Death says in Meet The New Boss Chuck was afraid they would "Chomp the whole petri dish" now it's unclear if by petri dish he means Everything (all creations included, angels etc) or if he means just Earth/Humanity. I'm assuming it's angels included since the Leviathan can very easily kill the angels/archangels.
After that, Chuck continues to create and makes the Archangels
It always made sense to me that after he created the Archangels is when he created Heaven so that the Archangels have somewhere to reside.
Then after that is when he has the Archangels help him lock away Amara and then Lucifer is given the mark of Cain (in the show we know all the angels that have no clue about the darkness even Castiel, and Hannah also says the line in Form And Void "No the darkness is a myth" which lets us know that the Archangels probably told the story of The Darkness much like how parents tell kids stories of certain things to scare them or make them behave)
Then after is when all the hundred other angels come into their existence (and since we're kinda focusing on Castiel here I always took it as Cannon that Cas was one of the younger angels [my personal head Cannon is he's the baby of the family but we'll forget about that for a second] and I say this because of three/four dialogue examples from the show which also cover the events that possibly happened next
1. Castiel's monologue from The Man Who Would Be King, the infamous line "I remember watching a little grey fish heave itself up on the beach, and an older brother saying, ‘dont step on that fish Castiel, big plans for that fish’". I always though that that line sounds very much something you would say to a very younger sibling whose still a kid. So after the angels we have livings things coming into existence (tiny grey fish) but it seems that Castiel is rather young when this happens though (at least to me)
During this time is probably when humanity starts to evolve (Adam & Eve and that whole thing and their kids) etc and when Lucifer starts to rebel.
2. Then we have Lucifer's dialogue to Cas when they first meet - "Castiel, Right?" They're both very unfamiliar with each other but there is some recognition probably meaning; after Lucifer's reveling to bow down to humanity is when he fell and it's likely that Castiel was young during when this happened.
3. I just want to mention now that Cas is very unfamiliar with Gadreel that even Metatron when he's posing as Gabriel in Meta Fiction says the line "Gadreel? That old chestnut?" Which again kinda tells us that Metatron, Gadreel (and probably Abner by relation) are older than Cas.
Then we have the whole Garden shenanigans that happened. So we have Lucifer banned from Heaven but not in the hell/the cage yet. Chuck creates The Gardens and chucks Adam, Eve, & Lilith in their and has Gadreel stationed to protect the Garden. Of course the original story they tell was that Lucifer/the serpent tricks Gadreel, sneaks into the Garden and corrupts Lilith into a demon, then he tricks Adam and Eve into eating the Forbidden fruit which prompts Chuck to banish them from the garden to earth and sends Lucifer & Lilith to Hell.
(One thing that the show does though is that we end up finding out that The Serpent and Lucifer are not the same thing in Destiny's Child. My best guess is Lucifer created The Serpent and used it to trick Gadreel to gain entrance to The Garden, but the Serpent when it talks to Jack simply asks who he is and who he is meant to be... it seems that all the Serpent was able to do was bring out the truth of who that person was/wanted hence both Lucifer saying that he wasn't to blame for humanity faults and Gadreel saying what happened wasn't his fault.)
It seems during this time that Lucifer starts to turn as much as humanity as he can into demons to help him probably fight once again against heaven/Chuck. During this we have what happens with Cain and Abel, Lucifer tries to corrupt Abel into a Demon but Cain makes a deal in exchange for Abel's soul in heaven Cain has to kill him himself and his soul goes to hell; Cain makes the first blade, kills Abel, and then Lucifer passes off the mark where it remains with Cain.
(we also have the whole topic of the Shedim which has an unknown creator but was locked away in the deepest part of hell so, it's possible during the whole demon creating that the Shedim came into being but either Chuck or Lucifer realized it's sheer power and they locked it away)
But during this time Chuck realizes that Hell can't contain Lucifer so he makes the Cage. Ultimately Lucifer looses the War and Chuck makes Michael lock Lucifer away in the cage.
The show never specifies when exactly Gabriel fakes his death and leaves but in Changing Channels we have his line of "I love my Father, my brothers. Love them. But watching them turn on each other? Tear at each other's throats? I couldn't bear it! Okay? So I left." So he either left during the first War or during when Lucifer gets locked in the cage, again, it never specifies, he does know of all the events that happened in heaven, but it could just be him keeping tabs on his family too.
Then finally Chuck probably left real soon after making Michael lock Lucifer in the cage to be honest leaving Michael in charge of well... Everything.
And again it seems that Cas was probably sorta young during these final events too because of his dialogue to Michael in Our Father Who Aren't In Heaven"We didn't know each other very well, and our last meeting was... unpleasant" & "You know, Michael, I never really liked you. Even when I was just another angel, I thought you were too haughty". Now that could be that after Everything and with Lucifer and Chuck just leaving that Michael just became hardened to everyone and everything and pushed everyone away meaning that the younger angels probably don't have a lot of good memories of them and stuff.
Or a lot of this dialogue can trace back to the whole line from Samandriel in Torn And Frayed"They're controlling us Castiel" and the line from Ion in The Great Escapist "They've been in all of our heads" and of course the interaction between Cas and Naomi "How many time have you torn into my head and washed it clean?" "Frankly, too damn many." Maybe, once upon a time they all were a loving family but Naomi/The higher Angels/The Archangel's (how ever you see/interpret it) ordered for it all to be erased... Anyways I'm just rambling now 😅
But that's my two cents on how I always pictured the order of the whole celestial time line to go!
question (for fic writing purposes): when did chuck create angels? chronologically i mean, castiel didn't witness creation, he was made after, right? or by creation do we mean "of humankind" and so he did witness it? I mean did chuck create everything at once or were there steps?

Kripke: Family (as a source of trauma)
Sam and Dean’s brotherhood and the dichotomy of loving your brother while also disagreeing with him on almost everything at a fundamental level.
Azazel fostering a group of special children to serve in his holy war, and John raising Sam and Dean as soldiers for his holy war.
Filial piety taken to the extreme where any agency is given up. Meg’s blind faith in Azazel and then Lucifer, and Michael’s blind faith in following through with God’s plan for the end.
John Winchester’s legacy of hate and revenge being passed down to his children, Sam and Dean.
Dean, Cas, and Micheal and the consequences of absentee fathers and their sons hopelessly trying to gain approval from them.
Found family that helps emotionally support each other with team free will Sam, Dean, Bobby, and Cas vs the toxicity of the family you are born to. Similar parallel to fate vs free will.
Gamble: Identity (roles we assume vs our authentic self)
Souls as the fundamental particle that establishes our internal compass, but also capable of being lost or weaponized.
Assuming a role at the cost of being authentic:
Dean and Lisa where Dean tries to be a better father to Ben than John was to him
Cas as God where Cas tries to be a better God than the father he never met
Sam as soulless where Sam tries to be a better hunter than John, Dean, or the Campbells ever had been
And Leviathan becoming better capitalists than humans (authentic chameleons that live their best life by assuming whatever form let’s them be the most effective predator)
Carver: Oppression (being a hero to some makes you a villain to everyone else & the only force strong enough to cure oppression is love or total annihilation of the oppressors)
Abuse of power at all levels: Hell, Heaven, Earth
Monsters are shown to be morally complex and an oppressed population
The MoL is a defunct organization of humans that oppressed monsters.
Sam and Dean as the inheritors of the MoL legacy of oppression. They are never redeemed and carry on killing monsters until the end of the series.
Cain saves his brother Abel from damnation, but the cost doomed millions. His only escape was conquering the mark because of the love of one woman.
Naomi overriding the free will of angels by reprogramming them to keep them kowtowed to her agenda for heaven. Cas is able to conquer Naomi’s reprogramming because of the love of one man.
Metatron ejects the angels of Heaven forcing them to live among the people heaven has oppressed in the name of God. The show frames Metatron as a hero and a villain because good and evil can be subjective.
Rowena as the narcissistic mother that sees Crowley as a failure because of her own failings, and attempts to emotionally manipulate and influence his role as king of hell. Eventually Rowena is redeemed by developing genuine love for her son and team free will.
Styne family as a dynasty of white supremacists trying to make a race of superior humans. Their reign of oppression ends with their annihilation by Dean.
Sam clings to faith and hope in a righteous God even though he has suffered his whole life. Sam’s relationship to faith is never resolved through the end of the series.
Light oppressing the Darkness. God’s only sister was kept entombed by her only brother. Love for each other was the only force strong enough to stop their suffering.
Dabb: Fuck if I know???? (Cw: racism, suicide ideation, rape, incest) Dabb era is the most racist era of a very racist show. Other eras were problematic, but at least they attempted to tell a story based on an interesting theme. I cannot, for the life of me, come up with a theme for Dabb that the season wide plots feed into (calling it plot is a misnomer because there really is none in s12-s15, that shit cannot be consumed serially).
Destiel is shamelessly queerbaited, because Dabb has found that the queer and queer ally portion of fandom responds favorably to these crumbs.
BMoL as oppressive but now also British, and a new bunch of white people are added to the cast, because in the Spn universe Britain is solely populated by white people.
Lucifer keeps appearing to antagonize the protagonists, even though his relevance as a legitimate antagonist ended 7+ seasons ago.
Lucifer rapes a woman by posing as her lover. This results in the birth of the Messiah and death of the woman. No one ever seeks justice for Kelly, instead they endlessly obsess over her fetus.
The actor cast as Jack, the Messiah, is yet another white person in a cast full of white people.
Alternate universes are found that are like the main universe but way more boring.
Crowley is killed because Dabb is out of ideas for the character.
Sam and Dean are only interested in finding a way back to the apocalypse universe because their mom got stuck there. They express no desire to find a way back to help the universe where humans are being exterminated. They have completely given up on altruism and are living it up as privileged white people in their bunker mansion.
Black archangel Michael is villainized and loses any of the moral complexity that white archangel Michael exhibits.
Kevin Tran (one of the few recurring PoC), reappears in the Apocalypse universe just to blow himself up as a suicide bomber.
Archangel Gabriel was being kept imprisoned by Colonel Sanders who moonlights as a prince of hell. Does any of this mini arc impact the overall narrative? No. Just more white men added to the story because Dabb can’t figure out where to take the franchise.
Mary Winchester is fridged, yet again, by another yellow eyed supernatural being, so a singular family member can go into a vindictive rage about it.
Canon bisexual God is villainized. I would say for plot reasons, but I have yet to discover anything in s15 resembling a plot.
Main universe Kevin Tran (who sacrificed everything to devote his short life to helping Sam and Dean) reveals that God sent him to Hell all those years ago. Kevin is then doomed to wander Earth as a ghost until he goes insane. At which point, white guy Sam is probably going to kill him sending him back to suffer for eternity in Hell.
Billie, a black woman, becomes Death, a primordial entity and a stronger force than God (will reap God in the end). She is villainized and killed by white men for being committed to keeping the universe in balance and adhering to the natural order. No one seeks justice for her.
W*ncest is shamelessly baited because Dabb has found the portion of fandom that prefers bros as soulmates responds favorably to these crumbs.
Romanticizing suicide in a meta attempt to inform viewers that this show has lived past its useful shelf life and keeping it alive is a punishment to be endured.
Spn Prequel: ??? Not to jinx the prequel but at least it should not be worse than Dabb era.

Should You Fight the Batboys
In general
No
These dudes are literally trained in multiple forms of martial arts and can/have/will kill again if you piss them off just right.
But you're reading this post. So here we are, discussing the fact that I'm analyzing the anger and rage and fighting of these beautiful boys. Here we go.
Dick Grayson
Tumblr media
Dick honestly is probably one of the most cool and collected of the family in terms of facing harassment and people try to fight him with words. Boy can shrug off a lot.
That being said, when he does snap, he goes from zero to Krakatoa in like 2 seconds.
Remember, this is the man who mauled the Joker to death with his bare hands when he thought the joker killed Tim.
The way I see it visualized? Hugh Jackman in the movie Prisoners during this scene. Trigger warning: Violence, blood, and Hugh Jackman screaming at people and breaking things (but hey some people are into that.)
Dick isn't cruel. But he will make sure you live to fear him and his wrath. I'm talking screaming in your face and breaking shit around you.
If you're just someone who doesn't have any clue who he is and you seem like a civie, he'd rather try to de-escalate the situation and talk. If you're physically threatening him he will respond as such but won't try to hurt you. If you threaten his friends/family... Ho boy..
Again, it's not likely you'll see Dick's true anger. But just remember, there is an alternate universe where Dick becomes a fascist dictator after being pushed too far.
but yeah, Dick knows his strength and his power and he'd much rather try to talk to you/scare you away as opposed to actually fighting you because unless your name is Cassandra Cain, chances are you aren't winning that fight.
Jason Todd
Tumblr media
"You've met with a terrible fate, haven't you?"
Surprisingly Jason is a lot more rational than people give him credit for. If he can tell you're someone just trying to pick a fight but you're a civie with no clue to the fact that his kill count is north of 80. He'll try to cut you down with words and insults.
Or he won't. Jason's not necessarily known for his predictability. It all depends on mostly his mood but also the what emotional state he's in at the time.
I certainly would not recommend trying to fight this guy. He has abused venom in the past and has been show to be able to literally kick flip BANE on his own. If Jason was angry enough I have no doubt he could either crush your skull with his bare hands ala The Mountain from Game of Thrones (not linking it you look it up) or he can literally crush your skulls with his thighs (what we all want deep down inside.)
Jason's an angry POS on a good day. If you've done something to truly set him off. Jason will hunt you down and make sure you grow a set fear of god before he comes to brutalize you. ("This is hell, and I'm the devil." Jason ~ Injustice 2)
It's hard to tell how Jason will react because of just how unpredictable his nature is. I'd like to think he'd rather try to cut you down with words or insults first, maybe talk you off the ledge if he's feeling really generous, or he could uppercut you/pistol whip you. You gotta roll a saving throw every time you encounter him but automatically have a handicap of negative 3 on a D20.
Overall please don't. It'd be hilarious if you actually tried to fight him, hell pretty sexy even. But there's less harmful ways of getting your ass kicked. I hear Cuphead is rough...
Tim Drake
Tumblr media
Now Timberly is interesting. He's the most rational and logical of the Robins. I don't think he'd outright try to fight you even if it can be avoided. Hell, even if you start swinging, he'd rather go for forceful de-escalation.
That being said, when we have seen Tim truly unhinged and angry. It's comparable to Lex Luthor. Ala literally launching friends who betrayed him into space (yes the New 52 is a trip)
Tim internalizes a lot of his feelings and would much rather focus on productive means of anger management and revenge. Aka if you piss him off you better sleep with one eye open but that's still not going to help because he'll create cruel, unreal ways to make you suffer.
Hell even in a physical fight I don't see him rushing out guns blazing. He's much more trying to de-escalate than fight.
Tim also finds it very easy to forgive. But he's not the one to forget. Ever. And he will remember a misstep or an act against him.
Should you fight him? No Tim is still jacked and trained on various martial arts like his brothers. You're likely not going to win. But between the four of them, you're most likely to both survive and win an encounter with Tim.
Damian Wayne-Al Ghoul
Tumblr media
Why are you here? Why have you failed so epically in life that Damian is coming for you now? (Granted it's not hard to piss him off. But to make him want to kill you is different)
Again, his bark is a lot worse than his bite solely because Damian will resort to words first, and he has no filter so Damian goes right for the jugular with his words.
That still not enough? You really think you can win against a kid who was literally bred and raises to be an assassin? You're a joke. You aren't a clown, you're the whole damned circus.
Damian isn't necessarily as vengeful as say Jason or Tim, nor is he as explosive as Dick. But Damian does go right for the kill and will do so with a straight face.
Again, if you're just some person looking to fight, he'd rather cut you down with his words as opposed to trying to expend the energy trying to harm you. Should you actively pose a threat, his actions are always decisive and quick.
Things are very black and white for Damian. I don't see him as the one holding grudges or seeking revenge unless you're close to him. It's either you don't matter to him or he just sees you as an obstacle.

I felt like that it was really lazy. The show spends way too much time on the eldritch terrors that really don't pose much of a threat (except the monkey and the void, who should've been more intimidating than what we got, a cosmic threat that looks like a white room with pictures and planets? Really? )And for a finale, many characters get sidelined and their stories are left unfinished because the writers feel that the terrors are more important than character development. Sabrina is as whiny as narcissistic, who wants a love life and can't stand that her friends are happy and is love and is jealous that her doppelganger is getting married to Cassius. Meanwhile, Harvey gets uncharacteristically upset that Roz is a witch (a idea that is never explored because it's all about Sabrina and how she needs to get rid of these terrors that will destroy the world.)And in the end, it doesn’t matter because these terrors are destroyed because Sabrina sacrifice herself to save the world and Nick commits suicide (ala Romeo and Juliet) to be with her forever. That's it. What about her friends? We don't see them grow or even evolve! We don't see them even get happy endings! They're just there for the plot. Roz being a witch feels like it was tacked on and Theo and Harvey get no type of closure. Her family received the same treatment. Why does Hilda need to stop her life by moving back to the mortuary so that Zelda can properly grieve the loss of her niece? Why doesn't Lilith end up being the queen of hell? Why doesn't Prudence get any type of arch other than "daddy issues"? Why is Ambrose always there to save the day. We spent so much time on these items that could've been used on character development. And the ending was just soooooo gross to me. Undeserving and underwhelming.
This one ⬆️ and this one⬇️ are my favorite comments and say EVERYTHING about CAOS.
The whole season kind of felt rushed and deliberate. Faustus sending the eldritch terrors one by one and they somehow find a way to defeat all but suddenly the terrors have powers to kill the Sabrinas. Here are some glaring inconsistencies. Do witches die? The Cain Pit is a grave on the grounds of the Spellman Mortuary, it has been in possession of the Spellman Family for generations it has the ability to bring back dead witches. Why cant you put either of the sabrinas back. Since when did the witches die mortal deaths. Sabrina morningstar just died of bruises and shit, it wasnt even the void. The void shit Who is the trinket guy. Cant he have warned about void and the pandoras box beforehand so they can all discuss and send sabrina to capture it, Rather than she rashly entering void and the usual family running behind to stop her. I am so sick of this behavior of hers, acting like a hero and doing things without consulting anyone at all- like making of the two sabrinas time travel and the chaos she caused with it. How does nick go into the void capture it so easily and come back, if they all knew it was possible why did they try to bring sabrina back when she was unfinished- messing with her whole body- soul fit. Salem What happened to that stuffed cat Salem from Endless. If there are two sabrinas in the same place and it causes realms to collide, shouldnt the two salems do the same. Roz is a witch! Holy moly who cares! She already had the power of the cunning. Suddenly she realizes she is a witch. What's the point. And Harvey acting all weirded out, Come on dude, you dated a witch and your next girlfriend also had weird superpowers of the cunning. You yourself sleepdraw and have visions. What's with all the witch racism. All hell breaks loose Suddenly Caliban goes into void. They guys manage to get only the miners and friends and leave caliban behind. What bullshit. Is void a waiting room where you can go collect people you like. Lilith asks for the sword that kills immortals and caliban like an idiot gets it for her very well knowing she can kill him and Lucifer and all of hell. Why cant he just finish her himself. Its like giving a diamond knife to someone to scratch their back. Lilith uses it to kill two immortals. Lucifer dies like a goat- exactly that, no biggie it is to kill the ruler of hell. Sabrina the empowered women until she becomes single She was the cool girl until she becomes single. Then starts envying her friends, drunk toasting at weddings and when Nick comes back she accepts him and all that soul searching just ends. Show became a bit too dark Sabrina always had a dark undertone to her teenage adventures. We always watched it with a eww and aha exciting moments. This time it went a bit too dark. Dead people coming back to life episode- her father claiming she isnt his daughter and hates her-both fathers infact. Serious abandonment issues it deals with. Mambo Maria lying to Zelda all along, breaking her heart. Too much reality distortions. The Endless episode with cannibalisms and cutting human parts, getting stuck in claustrophobic space was too eerie. We didn't even have time to deal with One sabrina's death. Another come comes along. She has survived much worse stuff. Suddenly two of them die. Harvey, a mere mortal can go into void and get people and come out like a piece of cake. Last of all, Nick suiciding to be with Sabrina. Come on man! use your fucking magic people. You can all witches for Hecete's sake. Visit her in afterlife, use cain's pit, use mambo maria, do some soul transfer. Suicide to be with his love- that just cut it for me. They could have ended with both Sabrina's meeting each other in Afterlife. She realizes she is her true love. No one can replace that. She couldn't ever meet each other in the same realm. Here she can be with each other. Maybe that would have made things more bearable.

(Y/N) and Sam were in the same place they always had been lately: the library of the bunker, hovering over every book they could find that might help them remove the Mark of Cain from Dean’s arm. Dean was practically begging them to stop, but they refused. They wouldn’t give up on Dean, even if he had already given up on himself. Especially not (Y/N). The Winchesters meant a lot to her. They saved her once, so she felt she owed it to Dean to try and save him.
(Y/N) was 18 when she first met the Winchesters. To say her home life was bad was an understatement. Her mom passed away from cancer when she was ten, and her dad had been an abusive alcoholic ever since. So, it wasn’t unusual for him to disappear for days on end and leave her to fend for herself. He’d come back, dirty, reeking of alcohol, and ready to beat her into the next month. What wasn’t usual was him being gone for more than a week. That was when she knew something was up.
She worked at a diner in her hometown from around 5:00 until midnight every weekday. After another long day surrounded by greasy foods and spilled milkshakes, she parked her car in the driveway, ready to head off to bed. To her knowledge, her dad was still out -wherever he was- so she wouldn’t have to worry about avoiding him.
Or so she thought.
She crossed into the house and found her dad sitting in the kitchen, nursing a glass of whiskey. She swallowed thickly and kicked off her shoes. “Hey, Dad,” she said, doing her best to keep her voice light.
“Where have you been?” he asked.
“Work,” she answered, mentally adding, just like I am everyday.
“I’ve been gone for over a week,” he said, “and you weren’t even home to greet me.”
“I’m sorry,” she said. “I didn’t know you’d be home. I would’ve had someone else pick up my shift if I had-”
Her dad cut her off by throwing his glass at the wall. She winced and squeezed her eyes shut. She opened them when she heard his footsteps nearing her. Her dad grabbed her by the neck and shoved her up against the wall. Her head slammed against the wall, and he slapped her roughly across the face. Then he grabbed her hair and yanked her across the room, throwing her against the coffee table. Her forehead hit the edge, and she knew she was bleeding. She tried to stand up only to stumble again, so she crawled away from him as he neared her.
He didn’t need to say anything anymore. Didn’t need to taunt her or give her a reason for his beatings. She knew that they came whenever he wanted them to, usually for no reason at all except whatever liquor was coursing through his system. After eight years, she had just learned to take it. She could patch up the wounds. She could recover. She had enough practice. Eight years of practice.
Her dad came over to her and kicked her in the ribs, causing her to cry out in pain. He picked her up from off the floor and shoved her into the wall again. Her eyes had been closed, but she managed to force them open. When she did, she was sure she was hallucinating. Her dad opened his mouth, and his teeth were sharp, pointy, and canine like. She swore there was even something different about his eyes. When he lifted his hand to her again, she noticed his fingernails had grown sharp and pointy. She tried to let out a scream, but she was interrupted by her front door bursting open. Two men walked in, and her dad turned to look at them. He let out a growl and charged at them. He only made it a few steps when one of them pointed their gun at him and shot him in the head. He sunk to the ground, and all she could do was stand and stare.
The taller of the two men rushed over to her. She wasn’t a short person, but he still had to bend over to meet her eyes. “Are you okay?” he asked. She nodded, her eyes still fixated on her dad’s body. “Hey, listen,” he said, his voice gentle, “your dad, he wasn’t your dad anymore, okay? He was a monster.” She turned her head away and spit some of the blood from her mouth.
“I know.”
After they introduced themselves and made sure she was okay, they fled the town, but she wasn’t ready to let them go yet. She spent days tailing the Winchesters. She never got close enough to endanger herself or them, but she learned their ways enough. Finally, one day, she got too close, and they caught her. She was following them through an alley in Kalamazoo, Michigan, and they stopped, grabbed her by the shoulders, and shoved her up against a wall.
“(Y/N)?” Sam said, immediately recognizing her face. Dean let go of her, and she clenched her jaw and looked away from them. “How long have you been following us?” Sam asked.
“Ever since you left,” she admitted. “I’ve been watching you on all your hunts.”
“What the hell,” Dean breathed out, running a hand through his hair. “You know how many times you could’ve gotten yourself killed?”
“But I didn’t,” she snapped. “And now that I’ve seen the kind of shit you’re up against, I want in.”
“Yeah,” Dean chuckled, “that ain’t happening sweetheart.”
“Don’t call me sweetheart,” she said, her voice low as she stood up a little straighter. Dean eyed her, slightly impressed, before holding his hands up and nodding.
“She wants in, Sammy,” Dean said sarcastically. “Why don’t we tell her what we’re doing in Michigan and see if she’s game?”
Her first hunt with the Winchesters led her to a rougarou. She lit the bastard up, and she never looked back.
Dean cleared his throat, and (Y/N) and Sam both quickly closed the books they were reading. Dean scoffed. “Real slick,” he said. “How many times do I have to tell you to give it up?”
“We’re not giving anything up,” Sam said.
“We’re just weighing out all our options,” (Y/N) said. Dean rolled his eyes and took a sip of his beer.
“Well,” he said, “how about you two nerds take a break from that and answer your phones once in a while.” She and Sam both furrowed their eyebrows and pulled out their phones. She had a missed call from Charlie, and so did Sam.
“Charlie?” Sam said.
“Yeah,” Dean said. “Apparently I’m her last option when it comes to the three of us.” (Y/N) scoffed, and Dean shot her a playfully annoyed look before continuing. “She said she’s in the area. Thought she’d stop by. Even said something about a job she found.”
“She say where?” Sam asked.
“About five hours from here,” Dean said with a shrug. “Said she’d explain more when she got here.”
“Which will be when?” she asked.
“Soon,” Dean said.
Like clockwork, the door to the bunker opened and their favorite redhead burst in. “‘Sup, bitches!” Charlie said, coming down the stairs with a bright smile. All three of them returned her smile and stood up to give her a hug.
After they spent a few minutes catching up, (Y/N) said, “So I heard you found us a job.”
“Yes!” she said, perking up and opening up her laptop. “I’m thinking vamps. Cattle deaths have been popping up for a while now, but now a few people have gone missing. I’m wondering if most of the nest is trying to live clean, but they changed some new people and now they’ve got a few rogues. I was trying to find connections between the vics, and it looks like they all graduated from the same high school and never left the town.”
“What town?” (Y/N) asked.
“Uh,” Charlie hesitated, checking one of the articles again, “Dewey, Oklahoma.”
A thick silence hung in the room as (Y/N)’s jaw clenched. Sam and Dean looked at each other, and Charlie’s eyebrows furrowed. “What’s in Dewey, Oklahoma?”
“Nothing,” (Y/N) said. “Just a job I’m not going on.”
“(Y/N)’s from Dewey,” Sam explained as she shot him a glare.
“Wait, but that’s perfect,” Charlie said. “You know the town and the people. You won’t even have to go undercover.”
“Yeah, except I swore I would never go back there,” she said. “You guys can just take this one without me.”
“The missing people are from the only high school in the town,” Charlie pressed. “Probably your high school.”
“Dewey High?” (Y/N) asked.
“Yeah,” Charlie said. “The girls are, uh-” She looked at one of the articles again. “Amanda Moore, Elizabeth Johnson, and Sarah Taylor.” (Y/N) let out a sigh through her nose.
“I graduated with Amanda and Elizabeth,” she said. “I think Sarah was a year above us. They were all pretty close in high school.”
“See?” Charlie pressed. “You’re already giving us information we probably wouldn’t know without you.”
“What would I even do?” (Y/N) said. “Show up in town and act like I miss everyone?”
“Well,” Sam said hesitantly. “I might have a plan.” She cocked her head and looked at him.
“Is it a good one?” she asked.
“Yes,” he said. “But you’re not gonna like it.” She just raised her eyebrows. “Didn’t you say your class reunion was this weekend?”
“Oh hell no,” she said without hesitation. “Not happening.”
“(Y/N)-” Charlie tried.
“No,” (Y/N) said firmly. “High school wasn’t exactly rainbows and butterflies for me. No way am I going back. I already turned down the RSVP. No way am I gonna call Jennifer Smith, and tell her I changed my mind.”
“Who’s Jennifer Smith?” Sam asked.
“Our class president,” she said. “She’s the one who’s organizing the whole thing. She’s the worst.”
“You don’t have to do it alone,” Sam said. “We’ll go with you.”
“How?” she said sarcastically. “What, one of you want to pose as my husband?” Sam and Dean looked at each other, sharing a look of contemplation, before looking back at her. “I was joking! No one would ever believe either of you were my husband.”
“You too good for us?” Dean teased. She only rolled her eyes in response.
“It’ll never work,” she said.
“Yes it will,” Sam said. “Charlie and I will go as FBI, you and Dean can be husband and wife. We’ll talk to the families of the vics while you guys snoop around at the reunion. If the missing girls were in your graduating class or at least around it, chances are pretty high that something will happen at the reunion.”
“I would physically rather die than do this,” she said.
“Come on, (Y/N),” Dean said, putting his arm around her playfully. “It’ll be fun. I’m perfect husband material.”
And it definitely wouldn’t be hard to pretend she was in love with him.
“Besides,” Dean said, “I’m itching to get out of here and away from all this Cain stuff.” He looked at her and pouted. “Do it for me?”
And she would do absolutely anything for him.
“God, fine,” she said, pushing his face away from her. “I hate it when you do that.” He laughed and placed a playful kiss to her cheek. She hoped he didn’t notice the way her cheeks turned pink as he pulled away. “I guess I’ll call Jennifer.”
She grabbed her own laptop and left the library to get some privacy. Once she was in her room, she closed the door and sat on the bed. Her heart was thumping in her chest. Not because she was about to pretend to be Dean’s wife, but because she was about to return to the town of her nightmares.
She found the email invitation to the event that she had received and typed Jennifer’s number into her phone. She stared at it, her hands shaking, before finally pressing the green phone icon. She pressed her phone to her ear and silently hoped Jennifer wouldn’t even pick up.
After only two rings, she did.
“Hello?” she said.
“Hi, is this Jennifer?” (Y/N) said.
“Mhm,” she hummed. (Y/N) could picture the smile on her face. “Who am I speaking to?”
“Uh, this is (Y/N) (Y/L/N),” she said. “We grad-”
“Of course!” Jennifer said. “Hi, (Y/N)! How are you? I was so bummed to see you declined the invite to the reunion.”
“Yeah, that’s actually why I’m calling,” (Y/N) said. “I’m hoping it’s not too late for me to change that.”
“Oh not at all!” she said. “We reserved a block of rooms at the hotel for the people coming in from out of town. You want me to put you down for a room?”
“Sure,” she said, pinching the bridge of her nose, just dying to get off the phone.
“Great,” Jennifer said, her voice remaining far too chipper. “And I’m assuming it’ll just be you?” (Y/N) swallowed down her snarky comeback.
“No, actually,” she said, keeping her tone level. “It’ll be me and my husband.”
“Your husband?” Jennifer repeated. “That’s great. I’m looking forward to meeting him.”
“Yeah,” (Y/N) said shortly.
“So I put you down for a hotel room under (Y/L/N),” she said. “You can pay when you get here.”
“Sounds great,” she said, though she knew she didn’t sound enthused.
“I’ll see you soon!” Jennifer cheered. “Buh-bye!”
“B-” Jennifer hung up before (Y/N) could respond. She sighed. “Bye.”

Best of DC: Week of February 19th, 2020
Best of this Week: DCeased: Unkillables #1 - Tom Taylor, Karl Mostert, Trevor Scott, Neil Edwards, John Livesay, Rex Lokus and Saida Temofonte
Tumblr media
Ahhh shit, here we go again. DCeased was awesome.
In much the same way that the original Marvel Zombies filled my heart with dread, DCeased absolutely blew my mind with the short six issues that it took place in. It was equal parts violent and heartbreaking as the heroes of Earth had to figure out a way to either stop the Anti-Life virus or die trying. We had a good spin off with the single issue, A Good Day to Die and now we have Unkillables, another spin off focusing on some of the more violent heroes and villains while the events of the main series unfold elsewhere.
The book begins on the first day of the Anti-Life virus being released as Deathstroke finds himself on a job in Kentucky. Throughout the original story, I did kinda wonder what people like him or the other assassins were up to, given that we saw a select number of other dead supervillains throughout like Giganta and Clayface. As Tom Taylor and Karl Mostert unfold the story we see that Slade Wilson was killing some infected Neo-Nazis before an attempt to renegotiate his price ends with him infected too.
Tumblr media
Mostert and Taylor set this opening up in a very comedic way with the white supremacits running from something in the local church as Deathstroke looks on, puzzled as to why they’re running before taking a few out before heading inside. Mostert, Rex Lokus and I think Trevor Scott then give us an awesome single page of Slade facing down a horde of zombies with only his gun and a bloody sword. He looks like a badass and, in the following panels, proves it by killing them with ease.
Mostert doesn’t shy away from Slade’s brutal violence and shows how fluidly he can kill with dynamic poses as he shoots and slices multiple enemies at once. This accentuated by the excellently colored spurts of blood from the zombies and the gory detail of blood on the walls. There’s even a really good panel of one of the zombies being cut in half with Scott inking the silhouette as their blood and insides drip down. Even better is when Slade gets infected and violently rips his mask off before coming back to his senses while choking a guy.
Tom Taylor introduces a unique aspect here as Deathstroke returns to normal on the second day of the virus being introduced. As we learn later, it’s due to Slade’s unique super soldier DNA that allows him to fight off the infection, effectively being immune to a point. I can definitely see this being a double edged sword for him as the infection seems to last for a day before being purged from his system. This makes him unique amongst both the heroes and villains of Earth as maybe a potential savior.
Tumblr media
I’d also like to praise Saida Temofonte for her amazing lettering as well. She does an amazing job, not only with word balloons, but with captions that have a bloody background and the typefaces she uses for sound effects. For the most part, they fit the gruesomeness of the story with intense and bloody BANGs to eerie RRRRRRs, signaling the incoming zombies. Deathstroke’s scream as he claws his own face is intense, scratchy and blood curling until we get an AMAZING title page with names filling the empty space.
As things progress, we cut to Jason Todd in the Batcave. The silence is eerie as we get one small “spsh” sound as Jason steps through the blood trail of Bruce, Tim and Dick. Unfortunately, this seems to take place shortly after the events of DCeased #2 when an infected Dick and Tim attack and infect Batman, leaving Alfred to kill them all. Jason, like most readers, is shocked because he thought Bruce would have found a way to survive and then he’s met by Ace the Bathound. After letting Ace see that he’s not infected, Jason proceeds to make graves for his brothers and father before speeding off in the Batmobile to find the rest of his family with Ace.
These scenes are powerful as Jason, normally the black sheep of the family, has to deal with the fact that he’s one of few left. Why wasn’t Bruce prepared? Why was he the one left and not Dick or Tim? Damian’s still alive in Metropolis, but effectively, Jason is all alone. Mostert and I believe Neil Edwards show Jason’s love for his family as he carves out wooden headstones and buries them in the cave. Without a word of dialogue, this speaks volumes about Jason’s love for his family.
Tumblr media
Elsewhere in Gotham, Ravager, Rose Wilson with a missing eye, unlike her main continuity counterpart, is curled up in her apartment in fear. The zombies are pounding on her door when Slade radios in and tells her it’s time to escape. Rose has the ability to see into the future in short bursts and sees that everytime she goes for the door, Zombies come through and kill her. Deathstroke, however, has a plan. As a side note, it’s great to see Rose in gear similar to what she wore in Geoff Johns’ “Teen Titans” while also complementing Deathstroke’s current armor.
Unfortunately for Deathstroke, as he keeps his eyes to the sky, he sees the terror that is an infected Man-Bat flying at him with a terrifying SCReeeee as he crashes through the window and smashes the plane on the roof Rose runs to her dad and, believing him to be infected, plunges her sword through his chest and he screams “Ow.” This scene is pure comedy made even better by the dramatic rain and fire in the background. Soon after, Mirror Master, Evan McCulloch, shows up offering them help.
I don’t know what the reason is for using the Scottish version of the character, but it doesn’t really matter as the representation of the Mirror Dimension is still cool as hell. While wearing special glasses that block signals, they walk through the dimension and Mostert draws an epic depiction of it with all of the violence, gore and death through the many mirrors while the characters look miniscule compared to the vastness of it all. The Mirror Dimension has always been terrifying and McCulloch could do a lot to solve the problem, but it makes sense that he doesn’t. Cause it’s terrifying.
Tumblr media
After many pages, we arrive at the rest of the stars (fodder) of the series in Vandal Savage, Solomon Grundy, The Creeper, Cheetah, Lady Shiva, Bane, Deadshot and Captain Cold. I do have a bit of a continuity issue as Cold was shown to have been one of the Infected during the events of “A Good Place to Die,” but alternatively this series could explain how he got there or, much like that story, it’s off base with what’s happening in the main pages. But some of these additions are pretty interesting to say the very least.
Savage is near immortal, but has been shown to have been killed before. There’s a high chance that using Deathstroke, he’ll find a way to cure and rule over the people of the Earth after the heroes leave. Grundy is already dead, so can he get infected? The Creeper is much like Deathstroke in that he can heal from anything, so it makes sense that he’s managed to survive. Cheetah is strong and fast, but I don’t rate her chances high and the rest, while immensely skilled, are still just human. This is a ragtag group, but they’re not averse to getting the job done by any means.
The rest of the issue focuses on Jason Todd and his fight to rescue the remaining members of the Batfamily. Mostert, Lokus and John Livesay give readers an awesome assault on the Gotham PD with Cassandra Cain as Black Bat, James Gordon and Harvey Bullock fighting back against the zombies. Cass awesomely kicks and knees zombies in the background while Harvey and Jim shoot them. I LOVED Cass as Batgirl/Black Bat and it was awesome to see the return of the iconic costume and a character that I like so much.
Tumblr media
Of course, Temofonte thrills with the lettering here again. She sells the panic in both Jim and Bullock as they fight off the horde as well as the frankness of Bullock as he has to break it to Jim that Blck Bat is the only one coming. The static-y bubbles that she uses on Bullock when he gets infected is also amazing and saddening, but gets even worse when Cass has to “CRCK” his neck to kill him. Soon after, Jason plows through the GCPD in the Batmobile with a “CRNNNCH” that shrinks around the vehicle.
Jason rescues Cass and Jim after shooting the remaining zombies in the head and plans to get the hell out of dodge. Jim, still holding out on the idea of hope, tells Jason that Barbara is still out there somewhere, but Jason, knowing that it’s no longer the time to keep secrets, reveals his and Cass’ identities and shows Jim that Barb is dead. He then takes the haggard detective to her last known location and Mostert and Lokus sell the utter despair of the scene.
Infected versions of Barb, Stephanie Brown, Batwoman and Catwoman were killed by Poison Ivy and Harley Quinn in Issue #3 of DCeased (if I remember right). This scene of James finding his daughter is depressingly grey and his facial expressions show us just how painful this is for him. He’s lost just about everything and cries in his grief. Jason, however, finds the dead body of the Joker and ties him to the front of the Batmobile before they all make their escape to Bludhaven.
Tumblr media
This first issue of a three part miniseries already has me as excited as the original story did. I love each of the characters being used, the callbacks to past history and the way that everyone is being written. Each of these violent characters sees that there’s no need to hold back anymore as the regular rules are tossed out of the window. Everyone now has different amounts of pain and grief to deal with while others have different hopes of power or a cure. Ultimately, I don’t think things will end ultra well given the events of the main series, but I have no doubts that this will stand on its own.
Tom Taylor continues to be excellent when writing the despair and tragedies of DCeased and lifting up lesser characters, like The Creeper. His scripting and dialogue are a joy to read and I really feel like he’s got a grasp on everyone. Karl Mostert brings their all to this book with awesome panels and scenes that make readers want to wince, but look again to see the utter brutality of what they’re witnessing. His art is stellar. The various inkers definitely bring it to life alongside Lokus’ vibrant colors and Temofonte’s amazing letters.
Tumblr media
I’m already gleefully anticipating the next issue and it more than justifies the $5.99 price, high recommend!

10x16: Paint It Black
Worcester, Massachusetts
A man walks out of confession, seemingly lighter of spirit and with a distorted camera lens following him outside the confessional booth. He then grabs a candle holder, walks outside and stabs himself through the heart and slashes it down his torso. I mean, really guy, 40 Hail Marys would probably cover it, but you do you.
Tumblr media
After the title sequence, we find Crowley busy with Hell paperwork. One demon comes to complain about Rowena (She put his face on the back of his head, Quirrell-style.)
Tumblr media
She’s mad at Crowley for not pleading to the Grand Coven on her behalf (OMG, I forgot all about her need to get back in the good graces of this organization...taking Rowena from Buckleming and letting her be a fully formed and wonderful character was the best thing to ever happen, I swear.) She’s also mad that he sided with the Winchesters. “You prefer them to your own flesh and blood.” I see it’s tea time in Hell.
Sam and Dean are on the case. There have been multiple deaths --all victims gutted themselves nice and slow.
Two nuns at the murder church are talking.
Tumblr media
Isabella recalls her time before becoming a nun. She knew a man named Piero, an incredible artist. She would pose for him. And, I’m sorry, but what’s with the dead muskrat on Piero’s head? Ew, girl.
Sam and Dean get the phone from the most recent victim. Dean continues to be a Mark of Cain jerk-face. Sam is skeptical that this is a case, but Dean is very convinced.
A man and a woman leave confession time at the murder church. The distorted camera lens walks with them down the aisle. Later, Husband is getting a late night snack when Wife comes into the kitchen. She tells him to come to bed.
Tumblr media
He turns and she pulls out a pair of scissors and guts him, blood splattering everywhere. A whitish demon-ghost exits the wife and floats away as the wife comes to, screaming, realizing what she just did.
Sam and Dean interview the priest about the most recent murder. The wife remembers nothing after going to church. Dean and Sam think they’re above the secrecy of confession and ask about what the dead dudes were confessing. They’re introduced to Sister Mathias. She’ll show them around and answer any churchy questions they have. Sam heads off on his own (? I thought that’s why Sister Mathias was there --to show them around?) Anyway, there's a lot of awkward throat clearing and such.
Tumblr media
Dean asks Sister Mathias about the state of the McCarthy’s marriage. She’s in the know and very up to date on the extracurricular activities of the congregation. She’s also a hot gossip, as nuns tend to be. Dean then starts asking the real questions. “I guess I’m just wondering how somebody quits one life for something completely different --and believe in it so much.” This episode doesn’t offer much, but when Dean’s alone with people that he feels will keep his secrets, he’s very honest.
Sam arrives and asks about strange occurrences in the church. It’s on the site of an old burial ground. And Sister Mathias thinks the idea of ghosts to be absurd.
Sam and Dean leave. Dean makes performative jokes about Sister Mathias. They try to rule out what kind of supernatural entity they’re dealing with. Dean focuses on the fact that all the victims recently went to confession. Dean then asks when the last time he went to confession.
Back in Hell, Crowley brings his mum a wee gifty: Olivette, the high priestess of the Grand Coven. She’s in chains and Crowley leaves Rowena to do with her as she pleases. (Natasha: We should totally call these latest two episodes our Teryl Rothery series, since she was the medical examiner in Heart.)
Tumblr media
And now we’re back with Isabella and Sister Mathias. They’re talking about Piero again. Isabella was deeply in love with Piero. Listen, this love is so deep the soft focus lens can’t get any softer. Isabella talks about how the painting of her started his career and was his masterpiece. Then the show reveals itself: Florence, Italy, 1520. “Sweet Jesus, nothing in my love life was ever so magical,” the seemingly devote nun exclaims. Isabella tells the other nun that she confessed her love to Piero. Piero did not feel the same way. He was in love with his art! Isabella fell into despair. What is life without a muskrat man? Her family shipped her off to a convent.
Rowena tortures Olivette, who reveals what happened to the coven. Instead of the all-powerful coven Rowena wished to join, it’s now been stripped down by centuries of witch hunts. Added to that, an organization plundered the coven’s greatest secrets and shipped them off to bunkers all over the world to hoard all that power for themselves. And who are these massive tools? The Men of Letters.
At the church, Dean sits in the confessional booth. Uh. I’ve read this fic. Avert your eyes, fair children!
Tumblr media
Dean fumbles his way through a confession about his womanizing and cheating ways and then asks if he’s “good to go?” SIGH. The priest dismisses him with a handful of prayers, but Dean lingers in the booth. “I pretty much just figured that that was all there was to me, you know? Tear around and jam the key in the ignition and haul ass until I ran out of gas. I guess I just thought sooner or later, I’d go out the same way that I live – pedal to the metal, and that would be it.” Dean thinks that the Mark is going to kill him, and drops the line that haunts us fans to this very day: “There’s things, there’s people… Feelings that I want to experience differently than I have before, or maybe even for the first time.” EYEBALLS EMOJI! Dean emerges from the confessional and Sister Isabella wafts in from out of the walls. Dun dun DUN.

Isabella ghosts herself into the priest’s body next. I’m guessing they’ll just pot up some tulips together? Probably something nice.
Sister Mathias finds Isabella’s diary and begins to read it. One night Isabella snuck into Piero’s studio to destroy his paintings when she found him sleeping with another woman. She stabbed him brutally and her Life of Vengeance officially began!
Sister Mathias fetches Sam and Dean. She explains that she’s hung out with many ghosts and watched them move on, but she didn’t expect Isabella to be quite so murdery.

Isabella’s journal ends right after her trial, where she was convicted of witchcraft and burned. The Winchesters speculate that her journal is what ties her to Earth. Dean orders Sam to burn it.
Rowena continues to beat up Olivette, slap by sharp slap. God, I do love Rowena in a gorgeous gown!

Rowena scolds Olivette for losing the coven’s heritage to the Men of Letters. If the coven is useless, Rowena will hunt them down instead. Where can she find those wily Men of Letters? Olivette clues her in: the Winchesters are legacies. “Perpetually the Winchesters,” Rowena spits out. IKR?? Then, humming, she sets up a spell to DEAL with Olivette. Olivette shakes and screams and THEN... Rowena stops. She’s got a better idea. She utters a different spell and----
Back with the hunt, Dean explains the mechanics of rock salt on ghosts to Sister Mathias. Meanwhile, Sam reads Isabella’s diary. He learns that her blood was intended to be mixed into the paint used to create Piero’s masterpiece portrait. Isabella took it a step farther into psycho town, though. She chopped off her fingertip and told him to add her blood, flesh, and ground bone into the painting. UGH.

Dean discovers the priest torn open and dead on the altar. Suddenly Sister Mathias attacks him. She’s possessed! Isabella tells Dean that the priest had to die because he forgave Dean for his transgressions. GURL please. Sam burns the portrait and Isabella flames out dramatically.
At King o’ Hell headquarters, Rowena watches a wee hamster running in a wheel. The hamster is Olivette! She’s even wearing a cute, tiny red necklace.

Rowena doesn’t explain when or why she asked demons to create a nice, clean, enriching habitat for Olivette. Instead, she asks Crowley about the Winchesters and the Men of Letters. Crowley brushes her off and Rowena smiles prettily and swans away. Clearly, the issue shall never arise again!
In the car, Dean is like me...still grossed out that Isabella and Piero added a FINGERTIP to a painting. Like, Piero. DUDE. That should’ve been a red flag. Sam asks about Dean’s excessive time spent in the confessional. He offers to be a sounding board instead and Dean is SUPER ON BOARD with that plan. JK, of course Dean intends to keep his emotions locked in a warded box and flung into the deepest ocean trench. Sam delivers a rallying speech. He doesn’t think the Mark is going to kill Dean and they’re going to work together to save him! What could go wrong?
