I saw that reference image and IMMEDIATELY knew what I had to do with it. I’ve been working on this for an AGE and I know the og image says Super Mario Land but I figured it was a good time to shout out my favourite GBA game of all time, 🦆Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap🦆. I first played it multiple times to completion on the PSP and then later on a GBA emulator on my pc after our PSP died on us. I still love it to bits to this day 💖

Also you can see how I figured I liked the image more when it was flipped and then had to flip Kakashi’s hair and scar to be accurate. Also drew myself a little Kakashi face ✨as a treat✨ before I covered it with the mask

this was written for the Beside the Seaside universe, but could just as easily be a canon-compliant or canon-divergent drabble as well 🥰

“Have ye thought of any middle names?”

Jamie’s voice was barely above a whisper, so as not to disturb the baby in Claire’s arms, introduced to them as Germain Fraser. Of course it was middle names — Claire couldn’t help the smile that came with the thought.

“Alexander Claudel,” Fergus said readily, softly. “Claudel for his father, and Alexander for mine.”

She looked up from the baby to see Jamie’s throat bob, his gaze turn glassy, and then she couldn’t see much else for the tears in her own eyes but felt his fingers lace through hers over Germain’s tiny frame.

^^ in this scene technically it is established later that he's checking her for a fever, but i think he is also being sweet to her. maybe it's just me but i could practically hear the "my dad is dead too" from him 😭😭 you know?

anyway, in summary, if you give me media with a kind older brother figure and his cute little found/family siblings i WILL give it 10/10. i liked the plot but even if i didnt i would still adore this movie bc hrghhhhhh fambly,,,

DE i'm so miffed, i'm so miffed rn. why are you letting us change fate before the magic is even done cooking. why is this at rank 3 and not 5 😭 "i can save them" "not before you know them" "you've reset the clock a whole year" BRO like my drifter needs to be maxed out with everyone and dating eleanor by the time new years rolls around again because we barely know them even at rank 3+liked and it's just way too early on the progression for what the story implications were

someone who did the real ending explain this to me if i'm overreacting otherwise kalymos is just gonna sit there until january😭😭

edit: also to add like, i've only seen eleanor/lettie's and arthur's scenes (saving the rest for my playthrough so no spoilers on that please) and it felt to me like it's not just about getting the team to accept you but also to get them to accept each other. like it's as much eleanor hearing you as it is her genuinely caring about lettie to stop herself. "team? team?" like drifter is there to MAKE them calm down and be found fambly, and i thought that was the point in being able to save them after an honest year of bonding ;---;
