another thing that was so cool about the railway ws that it fleshed out existing characters through the board meetings as WELL as introducing new characters to get invested in. firmament has kinda just thrown exlusively new characters at us. they're not even bad characters; some of them are pretty great! but like... i'd be so much more willing to accept the immanent at face value if i got to see a character i already knew expressing the same confusion as me, y'know? having established guys around really helps loop new content into the greater picture

Theseus’ ship but instead of different parts its just the Sacristan’s limbs — moving on from that, Evolution art finally, the story is so FUN but only if you just go “oh were doing that now” every time there’s a new genre of body horror rolling into the text. and also look away from the other issues with it but i am in no place to fully talk about that but can they give this guy a break its almost like they want him to meet death every time [looks at camera]

thinking about how the evolution story pretty much goes, "yea your character spent 77 percieved years in that cursed contraption"... like. even if it was not really that long. that must leave marks.

In my mind, Peak FL (TM) is built like a two season TV show, like this:

S1: Ambition/Nemesis (main plot) + MyN stories (side plots)

S2: Railway (main plot) + Poet Laureate & Paramount Presence grinds (side plots)

The seasonal events are like, specials.
