Funny / dramatic moments between fake prince!Zoro and his equally fake royal advisor!Robin:

She doesn't advise him for shit.

What actually happens is that Robin sits to read under the shade of some pretty tree while Zoro trains (shirt on to cover his scars) nearby and they discuss their thoughts on what could be going on in the kingdom.

From afar everyone thinks they are gossiping (typical of young royals), but everyone who's near enough to listen is incredibly impressed and intimidated.

This is the trip where Robin realized that Zoro barely knows how to read and decided to do something about it.

Aka Robin learns a lot about swordsmanship from the books she picked for Zoro and Zoro includes reading in his training regimen.

Zoro baits at least half a dozen people into asking Robin for "a hand". She responds by making a third hand appear out of nowhere. Every. Single. Time.

Robin is fascinated by the amount of lies that Ussop can tell about his fake childhood as the Prince's best friend. She has the memorized just in case, but it's still entertaining to see Ussop struggle.

And also very entertaining to tease Zoro with those stories. Peak royal advisor behavior.

Robin and Zoro are absolutely bullying those old men. They pass judgemental looks during their (meant as practice) court sessions that have the (very very real) captain of the royal holding his laughter.

EKRJKFJDKDK RESTING BITCH FACES not really but those people swear the smirk and relaxed behavior means Zoro and Robin are planning to murder them. No one knows if they are being sarcastic.

When they finally leave the King laments long and loud that his court sessions will never be as funny as they were with Robin and Zoro around.

They're like three different times when Robin covers Zoro with something-turned-blanket while he naps, including one time when Zoro raised his cape and invited Robin to rest her head on his shoulder and take a nap with him.

Robin is the first to notice that a) the captain of the royal guard is the real prince and b) the dude has a crush on Zoro.

She's also the only person who notices that Zoro is in love with Sanji and that Sanji is starting to realize he's not jealous of Zoro for getting to play prince, but uncomfortable at how much it makes Sanji see a different side of Zoro that he might like. A lot.

Which means that every comment she makes is undecipherable to Zoro, but means to help him realize his, uh, situation.

The local cook thinks that Robin and Zoro are together and that Chopper is their son.

Zoro chokes on wine and Robin laughs when they hear the old cook calling someone a homewrecker in the middle of dinner.

Sanji and the real prince go red in a second, which is funny on its own right.

When the fire breaks out in the castle, Zoro is the one that saved the book Robin said she really needed for her research. The way he captured the culprit was by jumping from the library window and landing on the guy.

There's a moment when they almost go on demon mode after they find the basement full of chained children in the abandoned castle. It's only almost because the children awoke when they approached and both acted all light to not scare them.

The kids get eldest daughter!Robin and oldest brother!Zoro instead. They end up with their white suits all covered in mud + blood, but there's definitely something to see them walk in through the main gates carrying so many children, soft expressions and relief on their faces.

The glint they have on their eyes when Zoro asks about the story of that castle is enough to send the castle personnel on their knees. It's only when it's revealed that the king of that particular "castle" died a few weeks ago that Zoro and Robin turn back and everyone breathes again.

Somehow they develop a kinda dry(?) sense of humor that they share mostly with smirks and the most mysterious comments ever.

Robin takes on calling Zoro "your highness" from time to time.

Zoro takes on cleaning and sharpening Robin's knife from them on.

Part 19 Two Year Time Skip

Reader and Ace are the 1st and 2nd to make it first (Making Zoro’s boast of coming 1st go down the gutter since he’s actually 3rd *That doesn’t mean he won’t still make fun of Sanji since he came way later than him*)

Reader woke up to the sound of all her family members voices and is amazed at seeing her family back together again and that they look different (While they’re shocked that Y/N hasn’t changed a day) though Y/N was more shocked to learn it’s actually been 2 Years! (Y/N also really wants to explore to help find the others who are also on the island, if it’s okay with her family, which they tell her yes)

I 110% believe Sanji compares Reader to a Princess from one of the books he read as a child, as she’s sleeping soundly, waiting for her ‘Prince Charming’ to wake her up with a kiss (Only when he gets to that part he becomes furious about the idea of some ‘Homewreaker’ trying to ‘steal’ his cute little sister’s ‘innocence lips’ *He gets Ace and Zoro in on it, with Robin wondering if they’re sure ‘They’re not the ‘Evil Dragons who kidnapped the Princess?’*)

Ace/Robin have the idea to actually bring her with them to see a CERTAIN Concert that she might love

Reader tells Brook how she felt about his concert (Like that scene with Eri telling Deku about his concert) is Brook and Robin/Ace are ugly crying from how cute Y/N is

You think there’s an ‘Imposter Y/N?’ But they’re a preteen? (They’re wearing a large headband to cover their forehead and has a fake horn) Said preteen is very mean, rude and has horrible manners and loud? (They dyed their hair h/c or are wearing a wig) But the comedic part is when Y/N meets her Imposter and the Fake Straw Hats as the Fakes and Pirates that joined their crew are all screaming in fear that the infamous and REAL ‘Devil Child Y/N’ is right in front of them! (She’s not mad, just confused with what’s going on and doesn’t understand why some people are dressed like her family members and is surprised someone is dressed like her as well as why they’re screaming/backing away from her)

Reader meets up with Luffy and both are so excited seeing each other again!

Reader is so happy seeing her family back together (And excited for Ace is joining them) and can’t wait to go to Fishman Island! (Though Y/N was worried when Sanji kept getting nosebleeds and even confused about why Big Brother Sanji kept getting them)

-You felt so comfortable, like you were where you belonged as you stirred, your eyes slowly opening. Your vision cleared and your eyes widened, seeing that you were in your room on Sunny, in your bed.

-You tried to sit up, feeling a little weak and dizzy before you heard soft snores and you turned, your eyes widening again as you saw Ace there, sleeping quietly next to you.

-Memories of what you last remembered filled your mind, seeing both Ace and Whitebeard dead, then you felt a big rush of power, then Ace hugged you close after you brought him back, then you were here.

-Ace looked… different- he looked older, his hair was a bit longer and he had a couple of new scars, including the big one on his back, ruining his tattoo.

-You managed to sit up after a few moments and you reached out, touching the large scar, feeling bad that his tattoo was ruined but when Ace snorted awake, jerking slightly before quickly sitting up, seeing you there, awake, he quickly beamed, “You’re awake!!”

-He hugged you so tightly, but it also felt so warm, so happy- you could feel the tears welling in your eyes as you hugged him back, smiling, “Big brother!” he exhaled, relaxing as he felt you hugging him back- you were awake, you were okay.

-Ace helped you wash your face and brush your teeth before he explained to you that it had been two years since you last saw everyone else.

-You quickly ran over to the doorframe in the galley, where you and Ace had been eating and you put your back to the doorframe, lifting your hand to the top of your head before you looked, seeing that your height did not change.

-Ace laughed warmly, explaining that you had been in a coma, your aura surrounding you, putting you in suspended animation, and to put it simply, you haven’t grown at all.

-Ace couldn’t help but laugh more as you pouted, as you wanted to be taller too, as Ace was taller and bigger- it wasn’t fair!

-You then looked up, “Is Luffy and the others back yet?” Ace grinned warmly at you, “They will be arriving soon.” You smiled up at him, looking excited to see everyone.

-One by one they all arrived back on the ship, save for Luffy, Sanji, Zoro, and Brook. Franky arrived first and you were in awe, seeing how big he had gotten before he saw you, immediately kneeling, “Y/N!” you ran out, followed by Ace as you leapt into his arms, “Franky!!”

-He hugged you close, and you were in awe that he was like a robot, telling you to press his nose. You were hesitant, doing that he said, and you fell back to your rear as his hair changed, turning into a big afro and you beamed so brightly, “I’m happy you’re back Franky!” he was quickly in tears, a hand covering his mouth on how pure you were.

-You then heard another voice, “Y/N!” you turned, seeing Chopper running towards you and you beamed, running to him, “Chopper!” The two of you met in a hug, squealing in delight as you both went to the ground.

-A shadow cast down on you as you looked up, seeing Usopp, looking older as well, “I hope I get a hug like that too!” you leapt up, “Usopp!” he hugged you close, spinning you around before Nami spoke up, “When’s my turn?”

-You turned to Nami, before pausing, seeing her just in a bikini top, it made you curious if she went swimming before you ran to her, “Nami!!” she hugged you close and you felt her sag into the embrace, like she was relieved.

-When she pulled back, she cupped your cheek softly, whispering down at you, “I’m so happy you’re okay.” They had all heard about the war, and she had managed to get ahold of Ace, finding out about you afterwards, about the coma, and she had spent most of her time worrying.

-You then heard someone giggling, “Hello everyone~” you turned, your eyes wide, seeing Robin there, she was so much taller and looked so mature now.

-You were frozen, unable to move before you hiccupped softly, tears easily welling in your eyes as the others all smiled, watching this as you finally broke down, “Mama!!” as you rushed towards her.

-Robin kneeled and embraced you tightly, hugging you close, “I’m home Y/N.” you were sniffling, trying to stop your tears- you were just so happy to have them all back.

-After waiting for a while, Usopp gave Ace a lead on where Brook would be, at a concert and Ace offered to go and get him, after he told them that he was joining the crew, something that caused a lot of cheers.

-You asked to go with him, and Ace quickly became the newest victim to your puppy eyes, something you didn’t know that you were doing and Robin, who thought it was amusing to see him fall so easily, offered to go with him as well.

-The concert was so loud, there were bright lights and colored lights and effects everywhere, there were so many people cheering- it was almost overwhelming, holding your hands over your ears as Robin held you in her arms.

-Brook was performing and you were in awe, he looked like a rockstar now! He looked so cool!

-As he was finishing his last song, he saw Ace, then Robin, then in her arms, he saw you, your arms up, cheering loudly for him with a huge smile on your face.

-Ace almost collapsed to the ground, clutching at his chest while Robin was smiling warmly, a tear pricking the corner of her eyes, seeing you looking so happy.

-Brook was able to get away from his captors as the crowd cheered loudly and Ace and Robin ran out to meet up with him once they were a safe distance away.

-Ace was holding his guitar after you leapt into Brook’s arms, hugging him close and he carried you while you were talking so fast on how cool his concert was, “And everyone got so loud, and the colors and lights were so pretty and sparkly and you looked so cool!”

-Brook felt tears welling in his eye sockets before he held you close, lowering his head to yours, his teeth pressing against your forehead, like he was giving you a kiss, “I’m happy to see you again too, Y/N.”

-A terrified scream then filled the air and you all turned, seeing a group of people that were dressed like your family, but it wasn’t them, there was even an older kid dressed like you, with a horn glued to their forehead.

-You tilted your head to the side, confused as to why they were so scared and why they looked so injured before they ran off, “It’s Demon Child Y/N!!”

-Question marks surrounded your head, turning back to Ace, Brook, and Robin who were quickly grinning, thinking it was hysterical that these imposters were so terrified of you.

-When you arrived back on the ship, Robin helped you change into a present that Ace had forgotten about, something from Whitebeard, and you came out, wearing what looked to be a sailor dress over your black leggings, with a red bow on the front, but on the back was the symbol of Whitebeard, signaling that you were under his protection.

-You spun around, a huge smile on your face, “I love it!”

-A crash was heard, and you turned, seeing Sanji there, tears pouring down his face, a light from heaven shining down on him, “A- an angel!!” you ran over, immediately leaping into his arms, knocking him out of his shock, “Big brother!” He hugged you close, smiling that he finally had you back in his arms.

-You then heard a chuckle, and you looked up, seeing Zoro there and Sanji lamented, falling to his hands and knees that you left him as you ran to Zoro who kneeled, hugging you close as you leapt into his arms.

-Zoro grinned, ruffling your hair before he spoke, reaching into his pocket, “I have something for you- Mihawk wanted me to give it to you.” You were confused, head tilting to the side, “Mihawk?” he nodded and Nami told you who that was before you remembered.

-You were a little apprehensive, as he did hurt Zoro, but you were surprised when Zoro handed you the cross necklace, with a hidden blade inside of it, “He wants you to be safe.”

-He put it over your neck, and you smiled, holding it in your hands, “I love it! Can I send him a letter thanking him for it?” he chuckled, ruffling your hair, “Sure- I’ll go get some paper.”

-You looked around, wondering where Luffy was, as he was the only one yet to arrive before you heard, “Y/N!!” you turned, seeing Luffy carrying a huge bag full of food and your eyes went wide, seeing him there, smiling so brightly at you.

-He leapt on the ship and let the bag go, letting it hit the deck before he immediately had you in his arms and you hugged him, “Luffy!! I missed you so much!!” he laughed warmly, feeling complete again, now that he was back to you, “And I missed you Y/N!”

-Ace took a couple of photos, of your dress and of your new baby sword, as you were calling it a baby sword because it fit your size, “And when I get bigger I’ll get a big girl sword!” oh gawd you were going to kill all of them.

-Sanji was hugging you close, “You’re just like a precious little princess Y/N!” you smiled up at him, as you remembered the stories you had been told, “Really? Does that mean that all my big brothers are my Prince Charmings, or do I have to kiss someone else?”

-Robin couldn’t help but hold a hand to her lips, hiding her smile while Nami shook her head, exasperated as Luffy, Ace, Sanji, and Zoro all were quickly surrounded by flames of fury as Ace spoke, “Nobody is going to steal her precious lips!”

-The others were quickly cheering, agreeing to protect you and keep all other men that didn’t trust away from you.

-You couldn’t help but smile brightly, you were so happy to have your family finally back.

-Zoro was holding you as you gave the delivery bird the two letters, one to Mihawk and the other to Whitebeard, thanking the bird who cooed before flying off.

-When Luffy announced that you were all heading to Fishman Island now, after Franky inflated the bubble coating, you cheered, looking forward to a new adventure, but you were also confused as to why Sanji was bleeding from his nose again.

~Hundreds of miles away a few days later~

-Whitebeard smiled, seeing the letter you had sent to him, seeing the photos of you in the dress and seeing the letter you wrote to him, or tried to write to him, ‘Thank you Grandpa! I love my new dress! I want to see you soon!’

-He was almost immediately planning to set sail, wanting to make you happy.

-He then looked at your new bounty poster, a new picture of you in the dress he had given you, with Luffy’s hat on your head, and Mihawk’s cross around your neck- giving everyone the message you were heavily protected now.

-Whitebeard also couldn’t keep the smile from his lips, seeing that your bounty went up again, now that you had resurfaced, seeing 6,000,000,000 beris staring back at him- you made grandpa so proud!!

~Hundreds of miles away in the other direction~

-A rumbling was heard on Mihawk’s island, a smile coming to his lips as Perona was confused, “Are you expecting someone?” he didn’t say anything.

-The door burst open, revealing a comically crying Shanks who was holding your bounty poster, “You bastard!! I want to give her something too!!”

-Mihawk couldn’t help but roar with laughter, seeing Shanks so upset because you were wearing his cross necklace.

-Mihawk, just to be a little extra cruel, pointed at something framed on the wall, “That’s from Y/N.”

-Shanks immediately ran over, seeing a crayon drawing of you and Mihawk, each holding your baby swords and holding hands, ‘Thank you for my baby sword Mr. Mihawk! Now we match!’

-Shanks collapsed to the ground, gloom surrounding him, seeing the connection you had with him before he shot back up, “Wait! You don’t match- you gave her your one sword like that!”

-Mihawk stood, turning towards Shanks, showing off another cross necklace, “When she was so happy that we matched, I had to get another one.”

-Shanks deflated, turning pure white in defeat as he sobbed comically on Mihawk’s chase lounge chair, wanting to get you a present too!!

Omg i have an idea - Sanji prince set to marry the princess of Wano arc but she is in love with her bodygaurd Zoro. This makes sanji jealous of him and he in his free time does everything in his power to piss off zoro but zoro starts liking it. In reality he had never had hots for the princess, but the day he saw Sanji and his fighting skills, zoro was inexplicably drawn to him. So they start sparring together and arguing but they find it comforting in a way.

Will u elaborate this au ?? I would love to see you enhance it

This reminds me of a royal au art post that I see or come back to every so often like "I should probably write a royal au"

(anyways here i go... this turned out longer than intended lol:)

At first, Sanji would be so happy and anxious about meeting the princess. He's never seen her, it was an arranged marriage, but he heard that she is the most beautiful and elegant woman. So it was a huge shock when he arrived and all she would do was try to tend to her bodyguard or try chatting him up. Emphasis on the "try". The most he replied with was a huff or a grunt. Most of the time he acted like she wasn't even there. Even when she did talk to Sanji, the conversation somehow always circled back to her body guard.

It was all "Zoro this," and "Zoro that," and admittedly, Sanji could hesitantly agree that if what she was talking about him was true, he was a man of pride and honor. It still pissed him off.

Sanji was a bit disappointed on many levels. He wanted a nice date with his future wife. What was he thinking? The mossheaded brute? She could do so much better than that swordsman. What does he have that Sanji doesn't??? Not to mention that the guard was staring daggers into him the whole day.

At the end of their "date", the swordsman insisted on sending him off to where he'd be staying. He even offered to give him a tour of the city.

Sanji responded with a "I'd love to get a tour from miss Hiyori, but I don't want anything from you, mosshead."

They end up going anyway because the very next day...

Zoro to Hiyori: I should take him into town for a tour.

Hiyori: Yes that's a great idea! I could come too,

Zoro: No

Sanji: Yes

Zoro sweating: it uh... it won't be safe.

Through out the whole walk Sanji would keep saying things like "oh, how I wish my FUTURE WIFE could be with us now," and "do you think my FIANCE would like this if I bought here one?" to make sure Zoro knew that Sanji was the one who would marry her.

Zoro seemed irritated at first but it slowly started seeming more like sadness than anger. At one point Zoro turns and interrupts him, telling him that they're lost. Turns out not only were they lost, Zoro didn't know where they were going for a while now.

An insult turns into a snarky remark in return, which turns into a kick, turns into a fight. After they were all worn out from the fight, Sanji begrudgingly realized that he enjoyed sparing a bit too much. It was the most fun he had since he arrived. He would never admit it though.

Once they found their way back Sanji decides that he would try and be as close to his fiance as possible. If he flirted with her enough, the Marimo would get the hint.

On one hand it worked. Zoro seemed to get really angry whenever he flirted with her. Which usually ended with them sparring. Zoro would say some questionable things during their fights... so Sanji responded. It escalated to the most fucked up and homoerotic shit, to the point where people got used to leaving the room to give them privacy.

As the wedding approached, Sanji started seeing less and less of Zoro. When he asked Hiyori about it she always gave an answer that sounded extremely fake.

It didn't bother Sanji... until it did. He stormed every room until he found the mosshead meditating under a tree. Sanji didn't know what he was going to do, but it would definitely going to include a confrontation.

Sanji: Are you avoiding me shitty swordsman?

Zoro, not even opening his eyes: ...

Sanji: At first I thought you had left or that you were avoiding both me and Hiyori, but then I find out you were with her daily.

Zoro still not answering pissed Sanji off and was his sign to continue talking.

Sanji: I can't believe you'd try to seduce MY future wife behind my back like that! For all that talk about honor, you sure are dishonest!

Zoro finally snapping: I avoid you because I know she'll marry you, I'm doing this for her sake. I don't want to ruin her wedding.

Sanji: Oh, right you're stealing her from me for her sake.

Zoro: I'm avoiding you because if I see you I can't guarantee I can hold myself back from ending the engagement and running off with you.

Sanji, absolutely baffled with this answer. That was so much new information, he didn't know what to ask first. After a minute of gaping like a fish, Sanji started talking on auto pilot. An apparently "autopilot" was "bitchy": What makes you think I'd want that?

And when he thought Zoro would spit something back, Zoro looked up at him with the saddest most heartbroken look in his eyes: I don't.

It sounded more like an apology than an answer.

Sanji felt like his world shattered.

The swordsman stood up and paused for a bit. As if he was ready to do something that he would regret but stopped himself. Sanji would have done anything to know what he was going to do or say. But alas, felt frozen.

Zoro: It's okay, I told Hiyori I'm leaving after the wedding. I won't be bothering you and your wife anymore.

Walking away, Zoro couldn't help but think how much he wanted to rush back and give him a kiss farewell. One filled with all the passion, frustration and despair he'd be harboring until now.

One Piece Spoiler/theory for 1127

I think Prince Loki isn't the Loki we're all thinking of.

Because there's actually a few loki's of varying importance in norse mythology. There's the usual Marvel bad boy prince of lies and general douche, but there's also Utgard Loki, another giant with a penchant for illusions that spent his story just trying to make sure Thor never actually got close enough to fight him. And why do I think this? because the illusions included a few particular things

A giant fake castle(not made of lego in the story but a fake castle is a fake castle) and a giant cat

Some things that also might make an appearance in the story

An eating contest against fire(Sabo might show up? Fake Sabo? Fake Ace???)

I swear I've been sitting on this idea for so long cause I'm too lazy (or busy) to write it, and I just HAD to share it with someone. I have a feeling you might enjoy hearing about it, so I hope you don't mind me sharing it with you.

So, this chaotic train of thought started with seeing a gorgeous fanart of Sanji as Flynn Rider from Tangled. Wouldn't a tangled au with him fit so well??? Long story short, It'd be fun to continue it with other characters, kind of like your storyteller series (I swear I'm not trying to copy you 😭). After that, I've kinda been connecting characters with specific stories.

So far, I've got Sanji with tangled. Ace with Little Mermaid (it sounds cute to me). ZORO WITH MULAN.

For some of them, I was thinking about keeping it within the one piece universe while others would be in a separate au, just for funsies.

Now, here's where the brainrot begins. I've been fixating Katakuri for a HOT minute, I have no idea why. Then, out of nowhere, I was like, "OMG, KATAKURI, AND CINDERELLA." I also thought of beauty and the beast, but I'm leaning into Cinderella a bit more.

It just fits so well. It doesn't even have to be in an AU. Like, Katakuri is described as the perfect man in one piece already anyway and the son of an Emperor, he's basically a prince. Plus, I don't even have to make up a fake ball. Just make it BIG MOMS TEA PARTY.

I swear I've been hyperfixating on a Cinderella story with Katakuri for way too long... I really wanna write this but I told myself I would write the tangled fic with Sanji first 😭

•Asl royalty AU. Where they were all -minus Luffy- born not as nobles, but as normal kids. One day Roger -who’s “enemies” with Garp- gives the king his infant , claiming that the tiny human would be more then safe and secure with him. Garp takes the infant, after some small protest.

•From that day forward the infant -named Acrux- was raised inside the Goa kingdom palace, surrounded by servants that were at his beck and call. But the only one he truly ever liked, or even semi respected, was a lady in her late 30s called Dadan that was part of the guards. She took care of little Acrux and he would always go to her before anyone when needing someone, even his own grandpa.

•One day, however, Acrux got bored and left the palace in a “disguise” and with a fake name, Porgas D Ace. Acrux, or Ace now. Roamed around the capital of Goa, meeting various people who, in his opinion, were super mean rude and just plain boring. That is until he met a boy around his age named Raka. The boy was shorter than him by a bit and had blond short hair. He dressed like a noble but didn’t act like one, in fact he seemed to hate being one.

•So Ace did what anyone else would do and took the kids out with him to the jungle. They stayed there for a few days and decided that the two will continue to stay hidden so they can finally be free of their duties as nobles. That is until Dadan managed to find the two and drag both of them with her back to the palace. Raka’s -who decided to go under the alias Sabo- parents were waiting at the palace, worry painting their face.

•But Ace didn’t let them take his new brother back. So the two left Sabo at the palace, delighted that the crown prince had taken a liking to their little boy. And so Sabo became a prince. He attended etiquette lessons with his brother -he got so happy when he called him that- and went everywhere with him.

•One day the two boys were called by their grandpa, Garp, to the throne room. The two thought it was just another one of his weird harsh training sessions, but instead were greeted with the sight of young boy with black hair and the brightest smile ever. Garp introduced the boy as Nika, his biological grandson. Nika was more than delighted to meet them and decided to cling to them from that day forward.

•At first Ace and Sabo hated the kid and his clinginess. But as time went on the two ended up warming up to Nika and started treating him like their own brother. They taught him things that they knew. They took him with them places. And soon they took him with them to the treehouse and they did what both of them did in that treehouse, finding a different name for him, and that name was Monkey D Luffy.

•And that’s how the three grew up. Ace, the crown prince, Sabo, second in line for the thrown and Luffy, the shining star for the Goa kingdom. Years passed by like this. A few things did change however, Sabo getting more into politics, and Luffy somehow managed to recruit a bunch of random people throughout all the blues and make alliances with a bunch of countries.

•One day Luffy gets an invite to a banquet at a faraway kingdom, it wasn’t unusual for the young prince to get invites to various things from the most random people -he was extremely loved by young and old alike- so of course he accepted the invite without hesitation. But there was a minor problem, he couldn’t be left unsupervised and no one was free or could free up their schedules to go with him -except zoro but that was worse then him going alone-, so Garp assigned one of -if not- his most trusted knights, Koby.

•And so they sailed away. Koby -Luffy noted- was younger than him but very tense and nervous, especially around the prince. And no matter how many times Luffy told him to refere to him by his name as they are friends now, Koby kept referring to him by his honorific -Prince Nika-. As they spent more time together the two grew closer and closer. Koby started to open up to the young prince -even calling him Luffy once, which he beamed at- and Luffy opened up to him and hyped him up in return.

•By the time they returned the two had basically became best friends, and would seek each other out at random. Luffy would also always seek out the other whenever he had to leave, whether that be on a walk, a party or when going away on a voyage. At this point everyone knew that if you’re looking for Prince Nika, simply find Koby. And if you’re looking for Koby, simply find Prince Nika.

•As time passed people had noticed something shift between the two. While everyone knew how clingy and touchy Luffy can get, he was especially touchy with Koby.

•Whenever Koby was in the same room as him -weather it was just to hang out or for formal business like talking to the king- Luffy would always find a way to attach himself to the young knight. And Koby wouldn’t even flinch or back away nervously like how he does when anyone else gets too close to him. Instead he would lean into his touch. The people closest to them -the strawhat crew(the people under Luffy) Sabo Ace and Helpmo- also noticed how they would always take about one another and would always get excited when the other was brought up.

•The first one to bring this up was, of course, Nami. One day her and Luffy were sat in his study, her actually doing work while the teenager played with something. She started by testing the water, asking what Koby has been up to. And just as she predicted Luffy gave up right away and started yammering about how Koby was up for a promotion and what not. After around, 20 minute? Nami asked him the question.

•“Luffy, do you like Koby?”

•And of course being the idiot that he is Luffy didn’t get the question. So Nami explained it him. And after what felt like ages the young prince looked out the window, where the pink haired knight was talking to Ace, and smiled softly at the two.

•“Yeah” he said softly, voice filled with adoration and love “yeah I think I do”

Part 20: Talk to Law

Dinner and a Murder: A Mr. Prince Mystery Masterpost

“Let’s go talk to Law,” Sanji says as he heads for the door, “We do really need to find out who was in this room and when.”

“Okay,” Zoro says as he follows dutifully after him, “He was in the study, right?”

“That’s what Usopp said,” Sanji holds the door open for him and waves him through, “Shall we?”

Zoro slides through the doorway, right into Sanji’s personal space. When their faces are only mere inches apart, his eye darts to Sanji’s lips, and the world freezes for a moment. Sanji’s eyes fall to Zoro’s lips too, and he finds himself wanting nothing more than to close the distance between them, to find out what Zoro’s lips taste like for himself.

But then Zoro steps back, a blush high on his face, and the moment is over.

“Let’s get going,” Zoro says as he turns and heads towards the dining room.

Sanji grabs his hand before he gets too far and tugs him in the right direction, “It’s this way, lost moss.”

“I knew that,” he huffs, but his hand is warm around Sanji’s as they make their way to the study.

The study is a smaller space compared to the other rooms. There’s a bookcase taking up the entirety of the wall by the door, and a plush couch in front of large windows right across from it. A handsome wooden desk is in one corner, a comfy chair planted in front of it, with a drink cart tucked away in another, right next to the couch. An intricately patterned throw rug takes up most of the center of the floor, but the hardwood peeks out near the walls.

Law sits on the couch with a book in his hand. He looks up when they enter, and quickly shuts it, placing it down next to him, “I see you found me.”

“You didn’t make it easy,” Sanji huffs, releasing Zoro’s hand to light a cigarette, “Why did you leave the dining room?”

Law shrugs as he leans back in his seat, “Didn’t see the point in staying.”

“That’s a bullshit answer,” Zoro mumbles under his breath.

Sanji agrees, but still elbows him in the side as a cue to keep quiet. It wouldn’t do them any good to annoy Law when they needed him to answer more important questions.

On that note, “Do you mind if I ask you a few questions?”

“Sure,” he shrugs again, “That is your job, after all.”

“Right,” he glances quickly back at Zoro before pulling the prescription papers out of his pocket and handing them to Law, “Do you recognize these?”

Law frowns as he takes the papers from him, “Yes, these are from my prescription pad.” He glances back up at him and raises a brow, “Why?”

“We found them in the trashcan in the lounge,” he explains as he takes a drag from his cigarette.

“What does that-?”

“That’s where Ace was killed,” Zoro interrupts, crossing his arms as he stares down at him, “So what were you doing in there?”

A frown pinches Law's face as he answers, “I didn’t step foot in the lounge this evening.”

“Then, can you explain how your prescriptions ended up in there?” Sanji asks.

“Your guess is as good as mine,” he says with another shrug, “Luffy was bugging me when I showed up, so I wrote him out a fake prescription. It’s possible a few papers fell off the pad then, and someone picked them up and threw them out in the lounge, since that’s the closest trashcan to the entry hall.

“Seems a little convenient,” Zoro mutters, making Law’s eye twitch.

“It’s just a guess,” he says, “I don’t know how they got there. I just know that I didn’t put them there because I didn’t go into the lounge.”

“Alright then,” Sanji takes the papers from him and puts them back in his pocket, and instead takes out Nami’s ledger book, “We also happened to stumble across this during our investigation, do you recognize it.”

His brow furrows as he looks over the book, “Can’t say that I have.”

Sanji flips it to the end and points out his total, “How about now?”

“Ah, yes,” he nods in understanding as he hands back the book, “And now with Nami dead, you must be wondering if I had anything to do with it because I was so indebted to her.”

“The thought has crossed my mind,” he admits, taking another pull from his cigarette, “Your debt was quite substantial.”

“It would look that way on paper, yes,” he looks away, his fingers drumming on the cover of his book, “In addition to my normal practice, I may occasionally take on unsavory clients that have nowhere else to go. Sometimes I hear things. I pass – passed – these things on to Nami, and she would reduce my debt.”

“She was always big about knowing everyone’s secrets,” Zoro confirms with a nod.

“Exactly,” he nods in return, “She found our arrangement agreeable.”

“Of course,” Zoro continues with a glare, “Now that she’s dead, you don’t have to pay her back at all. Either in secrets or in money.”

Law returns his glare with a fierce one of his own, “I hadn’t thought about it, but yes, I suppose I don’t.”

Sanji quickly tucks the ledger book back in his pocket, hoping to finish the question before Zoro and Law start actually fighting, “We found a rope in the kitchen where Nami was killed.”

Law’s gaze slides back to him, “Okay.”

“I’m pretty sure it was the rope from the conservatory.” He puffs on his cigarette, exhaling wisps of smoke as he asks, “Do you know how it got there?”

“Because I was in the conservatory earlier, you think I brought it there?” Law chuckles and shakes his head, “For what purpose, may I ask? If you’re accusing me of killing Nami, there would’ve been no point. She wasn’t strangled, her head was bashed in.”

“I’m aware,” he nods, “But it didn’t grow legs and get there on its own, so I’d like to know how it did get there.”

“I didn’t move it,” he says as he crosses his arms and leans back, “I don’t know how it got to the kitchen. Perhaps one of the staff moved it. They are doing work in there, and maybe they realized they needed rope.”

Sanji frowns as he takes another hit from his cigarette. It’s as good an explanation as any, but it doesn’t sit well with him. When would the staff have had time to move the rope, after all, and get it in the kitchen without noticing Nami?

“Just one last thing,” he says, nodding towards the corner of the room, “Did you know there’s a secret passage in here that leads to the kitchen?”

Law turns to examine the corner, “I did not.”

“There’s one between here and the kitchen, and the lounge and the conservatory,” Zoro adds.

“Interesting,” he turns back to Sanji, “Do you think the killer utilized the passages?”

“We’re not sure,” he says as he finishes his cigarette, putting the butt in a nearby ashtray, “But it certainly adds a new layer to things.”

“Yes, I suppose it does.” Law says as he looks off in the distance, his hand clenching over his book.

“I think that’s everything,” Sanji says as he nods to the door, “Shall we continue?”

“Yeah,” Zoro nods eagerly as he follows after him.

“Wait.”

Law’s voice stops Sanji at the door. He turns back around and raises a brow, “What?”

“I just thought of something,” Law says as his gaze locks on to Sanji’s, “About Ace’s murder.”

Sanji frowns. If he knows something, why didn’t he say something earlier? It couldn’t be very important if he’s just thinking of it now.

Then again, in a situation like this, every piece of information could be vital.

He glances over at Zoro, who’s looking at him expectantly.

If you wonder why I set up a love triangle in the Fake Prince Zoro au between Zoro, Sanji and the real prince aka Esmer, that's because that's way less of a traditional love triangle and more of a situation.

Esmer is totally relaxed about the whole thing. He has heard enough of the pirate life to know that there's no chance Zoro would stay, but he finds it very entertaining to simply try. It doesn't help that Zoro is insanely handsome, hellish cool and a dork of heart. Can you blame the prince?

Esmer's attraction is also the reason Sanji realized he is attracted to Zoro, because Esmer is so open with it, he is so obviously flirting and doing it in a way that feels so comfortable to everyone around them. There's zero pressure on the way Zoro and Esmer move and talk. Sanji has seen it before but never in the romantic aspect; it's like when Zoro is with Luffy, that type of wordless understanding.

Sanji is clueless. Zoro has been in love with him for a while, but romance for Zoro doesn't change much. He loves Sanji exactly as he is and he's okay with their relationship exactly as they are. He'd not act like someone else just because he's in love and that's what Sanji doesn't get. The only thing that would really change is the level of physical and emotional affection, but the banter and arguing? The fights and disagreements and nicknames and all of that? Yeah, that stays.

Sanji's jealous of the ease with which Zoro and Esmer treat each other. If only Sanji knew that the reason Zoro looks down on him is 'cause he treats women differently and 'cause he's obsessed with them in an unhealthy way. Surely Sanji knows that he doesn't have to humiliate himself to women all the time? Kuina made sure Zoro had opinionsTM about how men treat women and Sanji doesn't even imagine how much it plays a part in the way they both see each other.

So... yeah, this won't be about hair-pulling fights of "this is my man" or whatever. Zoro belongs with Luffy exclusively, that's the most important bond in Zoro's life. Anyone who wants anything to do with Zoro romantically has to understand that or give up. Cut to the events of Thriller Bark.

Even as the golden band around his finger symbolizes their eternal love, not seeing a third earring on Zoro doesn't feel right. Sanji's anniversary gift changes that.

December 21 - a royal disaster

Nobody told Zoro that the supposedly tyrannical prince to inherit the doomed kingdom is actually the most beautiful man he will ever meet in his lifetime.

December 22 - rough hands, soft heart

Sanji thought Zoro wasn't good with kids. It wasn't until Chopper joined the crew where he realized he was sorely mistaken.

December 23 - in another world, i'm yours

Sanji switches places with a man who plays him in a TV show about his crew. He discovers many things about himself and his relationship with a certain mosshead in the process. (Collab with inoreuct)

December 24 - when you dream

There's something about the way Sanji gushes about his near impossible dream that makes Zoro root for him. And maybe unknowingly fall in love in the process.

December 25 - becoming a decent best man for dumbasses

Nami asks Zoro to be her best man at her and Vivi's wedding. Zoro's problems cover so much more than just coming up with the best speech...

Idol Sanji headcanons part 2

- He has multiple personas which you can see in his songs:

Mr Prince (yes that Mr Prince): His default persona. His pop star persona who is sweet but also dangerous and sexy in a cold calculated manner

King Nasty: his inner slut. This is the persona most people are familiar with

Brooklyn Rage: This is his inner gangster. Like if he is in this mode, bitch run

- He has the foulest mouth of the Strawhats. He is rapper no surprises

- He enjoys being a bratty sub which makes Zoro’s work even harder

- He has a lot of sex toys hidden in his room

- He has a lot of cars
