Transcript & Alt ID: Poster labeled 'Israeli Propaganda' that details various types of propaganda tactics, each with a color coordinated label.
Greenwashing - Israel appeals to environmentalism in order to deflect attention from or mask its harmful practices. EX: JNF tree-planting campaigns of invasive species.
Redwashing - Israel appeals to the image of progressive politics on order to deflect attention from its harmful practices. EX: Historic exclusion of non-Jewish workers from unions
Bluewahing - Israel uses humanitarian aid campaigns in order to deflect attention from its harmful practices. EX: 'Water infrastructure upgrades' that divert 6x more water to settlers than to Palestinians
Pinkwashing - Israel appeals to LGBTQ+ rights in order to deflect attention from its harmful practices. EX: blackmailing queer Palestinians into being informants under the threat of being outed to their communities. (transcriber's note: I don't feel this is a good example of pinkwashing, I think that mentioning that Israel has a habit of promoting itself as a safe haven for LGBT+ folks, and promoting Palestine solely as homophobic, in order to justify their actions is a more appropriate example)
Purplewashing - Israel appeals to women's rights and feminism in order to deflect attention from its harmful ideals. EX: Israeli Occupation Force drafts woman to military service by law to participate in the ethnic cleansing of Palestine.
Faithwashing - Israel appeals to interfaith dialogue in order to deflect attention from its harmful practices. EX: conflating Zionism and Judaism in order to accuse all criticism of Zionism as anti-semitic.

people need to realize that what’s going on with palestine and israel isn’t about anyone being jewish.
there are jewish palestinians, muslim palestinians, christian palestinians being trapped in what is essentially an open air prison for children and the elderly with no food, water, or electricity just because they’re palestinian.
this is about colonization, and unfortunately so many people are falling for the blatant propaganda being turned out by an apartheid government (israel).
the only solution to stop all this violence is to give palestine their land back. that is the solution.

More on how Britain [the Christian Colonisers that played the most active role in the creation of Israel] utilised this trauma to ""excuse"" the colonialism of Palestine. [Not to mention that there are Palestinians of many faiths, including Jewish Palestinians. And also mentioning that Anti-Semitism isn't okay in the slightest, pretty much all Jewish people never asked for an ethnostate, across history and today and they are the major backbone of the Free Palestine movement.]
jewish bestselling author (they/them) criticizes their fellow jews belief that their people need their own state.

You responded to my anon showing a definetion that no where mentioned an ethnostate or elimination of Palestinians, I don't know how that supports your point. Also Jews are literally indigenous, most of our holidays talk about Israel. Supporting the existence of a state isn't the same as supporting it's actions? And Palestine wasn't a thing until Roman imperialism. I do not support the actions of Israel but as a Jewish person it is extremely hurtful that you would ignore our history and culture while saying "antisemetism isn't welcome here." Zionism has always existed, it just wasn't named until the 1800s. I agree that Palestinians should be given human rights and a say over the land, but that isn't an anti-Zionist idea
the definition i was showing was a definition of zionism to show why being a zionist is supporting israel when you were saying that you can be a zionist and not support israel’s actions. israel is a zionist state and zionism was coined to “enable the establishment of a homeland for the jewish people in palestine.” and israel was only established in 1948 by the british.
also, by definition, israel is an ethnostate and its existence inherently calls for the elimination of palestinians or any other group if they were to establish israel somewhere else.
i mentioned palestinians AND jews are indigenous to the land that is now called palestine. palestine may have not been a thing until roman imperialism but the palestinian people had always been there. supporting the existence of israel is supporting their actions because everything they’ve done in the past 75 years has been an attempt to ethnically cleanse palestine.
israel was established on other people’s land who are similarly indigenous to said land. the difference is that palestinians (jewish, christian, and muslim palestinians) never left. and palestinians never started this, they accepted the jewish immigrants with open arms. it was the establishment of the state of israel where land was violently taken from palestinian people that started this.
being jewish doesn’t mean you have to be a zionist. jewish and zionist are not synonymous with each other. i do not view every jewish person as a zionist and not every zionist is jewish.
