You know shit has hit the fan when the brain switches back. Bringing out the insults in your mother language for maximum damage and emotional expressiveness. I think Coriolanus specifically should get insulted in everyone's native language more often.

Saturday Sleepover

Well, with hobbies, I don't really have too many other consistent ones other than reading, writing, and drawing except for I guess playing games. I think you mentioned that you were surprised I was such a gamer in the server and then I denied being a gamer. But lol, I was thinking about it, and I actually am kind of more of gamer than I thought. I also play DnD with my college friends and former roommates! And online board games as they live on the other side of the country as me!

Oh, I also journal! Although it's not very organized and not really a hobby for me, more just part of my day-to-day. Mostly notetaking, thinking things through by writing it out, and ranting to myself.

My coffee shop order is typically a iced matcha latte, but I get an iced black coffee too sometimes. Or if there's some floral teas available, I'll try one of those.

SO... a whole year has passed since I've joined Tumblr and wow, I didn't think I would come to love blogging here; I don't really engage with social media much at all, even now. But here, it's different. I first came to Tumblr because of my growing obsession with the Arthurian Tradition - something that had been growing for a long time since I was still in High school. Back then, I was also a freak for folklore and mythology. And having since come here, I think it's helped me a lot, both in my personal life and with my obsession with Arthuriana. The community here is wonderful and comfortable to talk about our little niche

With all that said, I thank you to all who've liked and reblogged my posts and, trust me I've got PLENTY MORE things to show and talk about King Arthur and his mythos.

So, I hope I can continue blogging about our favorite knights and ladies at Camelot for the forseeable future.

over this past year, i have had so much fun on here with all of you. i appreciate everyone on here- the mutuals, the lurkers, the og trilogy fans that for some reason put up with the nonsense! all of you have made this year so much easier for someone who was struggling elsewhere in life <3

i hope we can all continue to be silly, fun, creative, and a little a lot unhinged into the next year. this fandom is such a lovely and supportive little corner. i’ve been inspired to do things i never thought i’d do- writing fanfiction, doing a fic exchange, unhinged cannibalism thoughts- the usual.

- i want to start out by saying how much i appreciate anyone who sent me and ask over this past year! especially you my lovely anon friends! it’s been so much fun and in my…far too many years on tumblr i’ve never been able to interact with so many people! i cannot overstate how nice it is so have so many people will to engage about our silly little guys.

- i also want to say how much i appreciate the corso creatures discord as a whole! when we made it, i’m not going to lie, i really thought that would fizzle out quickly. so i’m so happy to see it thriving and everyone having fun on there together. thank you again, @coryo for helping make a place where can all truly be together and be ourselves!

@felixravinstills - you have inspired me so much over the past year! before i started this blog i was so embarrassed by my interests and i felt so silly and stupid. then i met you, who was so talented and creative and insane about you little guy! and it made me feel more okay with being open about my little guys and to be a little weird about it! please forever stay the person you are <3

@fairyhagmother - my appalachian friend (in my head. you are one of us.) i was so, so excited when someone on here was so educated on appalachia and wanted to talk about it! i never would have thought at the time that in just a few months we could be talking about…coriolanus snow’s grandma’am and toxic yuri. i still think about that festus/pippa/liv ballet post you did btw. love u my friend.

@ylvisruinedmylife - hannah i couldn’t possibly fit how much i appreciate you into a post! i love bouncing off insane ideas with you and torturing hils together. i’m always amazed by how intelligent and creative and talented you are…and you’re still so friendly and supportive! your support, especially with my jessup nonsense, means the world. thank you for not killing you know who in you know what. i hope treemina never frees you.

the younger siblings

i had a long 8 hour flight and the whole time i was thinking: “hey what if the friend group had younger siblings?” and while i was thinking, i came to the conclusion that only festus, livia, and hilarius could have younger siblings. like the others (clem, felix, pippa) all give me the vibe that they’re an only child, and vip gives me youngest child vibes.

festus, he definitely has younger brothers. he gives off older brother vibes. @fairyhagmother has two ocs named cat and val creed and they’re festus’ younger brothers!

for hilarius and livia, i tend to imagine that their siblings are close in age as them. since most people have their kids two years apart, so i just imagine their younger siblings two years younger than them.

in my headcanons, livia has two brothers- one younger and one older. but the older one dies, and the younger one is more favoured and cared for after older one’s death, and livia gets overlooked. livia hates lucius due to this fact; he gets favored over her, and well, she’s jealous.

thessina heavensbee

for hilarius, he and thessina are on better terms than livia and lucius. hilarius and thessina are like usual siblings; they bicker, they joke, they bully their parents together, etc. their parents hate the both of them so they don’t really care about favoritism.

lucius and thessina are classmates, they’re not necessarily friends, but they tolerate each other :)

Actually I imagine the Capitol has a lot of twins bc of IVF usage….and also that they consider them like “good luck”. “Auspicious” one could say

Ooh, that could be vv interesting. I don't know how much the economy inside the Capitol reflects reality, especially not in medical care, but taking our economy as a basis, i think they'd be like a luxury item of sorts? At least a symbol of status. I don't imagine ivfs being available for anyone other than the elite. Twin births amongst the Capitol middle class are probably celebrated ostensibly if they are an omen of good luck. Probably not as much in the districts, seeing as it's One More Mouth to feed, I think. Not that they'd love their children any less, but that they'd probably have to worry a whole lot more about raising TWO infants at once when they're already struggling to feed themselves. The Capitol can afford to however, being able to have any number of children without seriously compromising yourself is a luxury, yeah, I think.

As always, you're so right! I think I've gaslit several people in real life into thinking the movie does mention she's an obstetrician, because I always mention it when talking about Gaul. Kind of funny that I've somehow done that!

three non romantic duos:

Sam & Frodo! Who did it like them! "Don't go where I can't follow!" "Frodo wouldn't have got far without Sam"! And other such hits. Crazy. To be honest there's a few non romantic duos from LOTR that I could pick but I love Sam Gamgee to death so I'm going with these two. Three hurrahs for borderline homoerotic devotion

2. Jen & Jack (Dawson's Creek). Dating myself here but I was obsessed with this teen drama as a teen. I've not really rewatched it since then because I'm afraid it will not live up to my nostalgic memories (though to be fair it started sucking so badly around S5 that I dropped it at the time and only tuned back in for the last episode lol). Anyway is there anything more beautiful than the friendship between a gay guy and his fag hag bestie? They were the cutest I love them both so much. I love how this show was so consistent in the way it portrayed their friendship. they were ride or die. I WANT WHAT THEY HAVE

3. Gaius & Merlin (lol). Okay I agonised over the last one but I couldn’t think of a better duo (sorry women 😔). I'm sure there are others I can't remember right now, but I do love them to be honest so why not them. I might have mentioned it before on my side blog but their relationship is probably my favourite in the show. I like the Chosen Family trope, okay? And I love that their relationship was important, in the show. They care so much about each other and it comes up time and time again. And their dynamic is fascinating, they're so similar in some ways and completely different in others. Immovable object vs unstoppable force. Thick as thieves, a pair of liars. As I once said—they lie so much, to other people, to themselves and to each other. And I think that's beautiful. Grey morality ❤

a ship that might surprise others: can't think of any tbh. I'm sure there are fics I've read that might surprise others, but only because I do check out a bit of everything if the premise sounds interesting enough to me, even with ships that are a bit out there. I don't really count that as shipping though.

last song: 80s medley I need to learn for my choir

last film: I don't really watch films anymore tbh 😭 I think the last one was when my aunt came to visit me last month—How Do You Know, which she chose because Paul Rudd was in it and it's probably the only reason to ever watch this film.

currently reading: Bliss & Blunder!! "A modern reworking of Arthurian legend". Or, the one where King Arthur is a tech bro. I'm enjoying it actually! (Nell if you're reading this I'll post some thoughts soon.ish. but I'm not even halfway through)

currently watching: nothing? I started Wolf Hall but I've watched less than half an episode over three lunch breaks and then I gave up for now because I'm meant to read a book and I can only focus on one (1) thing at the time apparently. but I might resume watching it at some point
