Have you ever redesigned the Mermaid Heel gals? I'd love to see your take on them.

Back in 2022 i had plans to redesign mermaid heel that never came into fruition. But I have wanted to redesign Arania and Risley specifically for years. For Risley I wanted to keep her general visual but make it more cool girl style. For Arania I aimed for Whimsy-goth vibes because I hated her jumpsuit look.

Milliana's design is her "7 year later" version of my 2022 design. And Beth and Kagura's canon designs are actually ones I really like so I just added slight twists to them.

I didn't put notes for them because any notes I have will need to wait for when I get there in my rewatch.

All Fairy Tail women have an open invite to the Mermaid Heel guild

Erza is the main visitor and is always seen with her sisters. They have a really nice training room where you can almost always find Erza and Kagura

Araña is really fond of the Mirajane and the two have become good friends. Mira always stops by when she's in town

Lisanna makes quick friends with Beth and Millianna when Mira stops by for visits. The girls get super giggly together and stress out Kagura

Bisca can also be seen at Mermaid Heel often. Turns out her and Risley have been friends for years

Asuka, of course, is invited too and is always surrounded by cooing Mermaid Heel members

Evergreen adores the Mermaid Heel guild calling it the most beautiful guild she's ever been in. She would've joined them if it hadn't been for the rest of the Raijinshuu

Carla and Wendy hangout with Beth a lot. Well, Carla tries but ends up getting kidnapped by Millianna pretty quickly

Lucy's book is in the Mermaid Heel library. They've all read it! (their library only has female authors in it)

as they - she, kagura, milliana, risley and arana - exited the endless corridors of the labyrinth that was the preliminary for the grand magic games, they were met with a roaring audience. they finished sixth, out of 8, which wasn't too bad considering their competition.

the other 2 guilds already announced were fairy tail and quatro ceberus.

fairy tail hadn't participated in these games in a while, after their humiliating defeats. but this year - they might actually have a chance at victory. she knew too much about the guild, especially with her history, and she knew the tenrou team had returned and would be participating in the games. she didn't know many of the people on the team closely, but she heard of their names and saw some pictures from him.

he disappeared with the rest of them 7 years ago. not a word, and not a trace. she still remembered the day of his departure, how he took off from the tent and how she chased him in his lightning form, how she couldn't get there in time to help them fight but still watched as acnologia blew them to shreds. what she thought was the last seconds of his life.

but there they were, the friends he told her about, competing in a fight to be the best guild. she knew she should've been happy when she first saw their guild making a comeback, but she couldn't help the feeling of fear that swept across her heart. his friends were there, but where was he?

its been 3 months since their return, and she hasn't heard a word from him. she saw the members of his team cheering in the crowd with the rest of their guild, but the man she loved was nowhere to be found.

"what's on your mind?" kagura said, leaning over to the woman. they weren't close but kagura had seemed to take some kind of interest to her, occasionally checking up on her, asking her questions about her past.

"it's.. nothing." i replied, short vague responses was usually all kagura got out of me. but, if im being honest, what else could i give? i shouldn't be in these games right now, i'm in no condition to fight. maybe a few years ago, when i was strong, but now? my body is brittle and malnourished, my eyes are dead and i haven't smiled in years. my alcoholism has aged me an unreasonable amount, and i am just a shell of my former self. my magic power has depleted beyond what seems fixable, and i feel like im slipping away faster as each agonizing day passes. hauntingly beautiful, a ghost even.

it seems i have zoned out through three of the introductions as they are now announcing the second place.

as the crowd roared in excitement, the second place team came out - fairy tail team b. it felt as if the whole world was spinning, as if nothing existed in that moment except for me - and him.

he stood there, next to the pretty white haired girl - mirajane - unscathed and just how he looked 7 years ago. perfect. i felt as a smile bloomed onto my face, tears prickling my eyes. i couldn't hear the deafening roars of the crowd as sabertooth was announced, as my heartbeat seemed to drown them all out. i wanted to run, to run across the stadium into his arms, i wanted to cry about how i missed him, ask where he'd been, i wanted to throw myself into his arms and never leave. but i couldn't, i seemed glued to the spot i was standing, with my eyes glued to him, maybe he didn't recognize me. maybe he chose not to look, but still, he was alive.

a spark seemed to have been relit in me, that fiery spirit and my will to live. my gaze never seemed to leave him, as his eyes finally met mine. i saw how they widened a little in shock as he realized it was me, how his lips curled into a rare smile - not a smirk, but a smile. a geniune smile.

how it ended as quickly as it started, as the teams were dismissed and let to leave, how his guild pulled him away as i couldn't help but smile like a lovestruck fool.

and thats exactly what i was. lovestruck. i loved him and i would forever, the anguish and worry from the past 7 years seeming to lift off my heart. my beloved would be mine again soon, my perfect.

that night, i drank. shamelessly and without a fear, i hadn't touched a drop of alcohol for months, because what if i lost myself to it again? what if i started and couldn't stop? but it was different this time. i drank, not to forget but to celebrate, i drank because i loved him and i refuse to love in fear. i drank because i had a reason to live again, and i drank in celebration, instead of out of habit or to avoid my pain. i was an alcoholic but in those moment, i wasn't. in those moments, i was a 19 year old girl again. a 19 year old girl traveling fiore with the man of my dreams, a girl without a reason to cry. someone so endlessly happy and content.

a euphoric smile lit my features as i stumbled out of our bar, determined to find the one fairy tail was occupying - and after a few block, i settled at the rowdiest bar amongst the 20 i had seen, one with men flying around in barrels.

i entered the building, unnoticed, as i scanned the group for his face.

and there he was, in all his glory - sitting at a table surrounded by his friends.

i stumbled over, tripping over my feet a little, before finally getting to him, slumping myself over him, and wrapping my arm around his neck.

he was clearly less drunk than i was, as he tugged me into his lap, before wrapping me in a tight embrace.

"almost thought you were mad at me for a sec.." he whispered into her ear, as tears filled her eyes. she missed him so so much.

"could never be mad at you.." she replied, as her tears fell and her smile grew.

she heard him murmur an "i'm sorry" as his team seemed to stare in shock a little, his grip on her didnt loosen as he held her to his torso, maybe pulling her away a few times to look at her face and plant a kiss on her cheek.

Come on fit. These were the words of Lucy heartfilila a proud mage of Fairy tail. Who is currently trying to button up her skirt. Come on I don't get it this fit before. She looked up and stared at her reflection in the mirror. Showing that she wasn't quite has skinny she once was, her once tone legs now are to big for her hands to fully warp around them and grown quite soft, her button became more of a cushion than buns of steel. Her arms developing small bingo wings and need to be flex to show any muscles. Her stomach looking like it being on Risley instead of her and her once slip face now have some chub with a second chin forming.

Chrono wakes up to see Lucy struggling with her clothe. He gets up and hugs her from behind and kisses her on her cheek and asked her. “Hey Lucy what’s wrong babe?”

Sarusuke Jet: Hogwarts AU

Sarusuke Jet is a Muggleborn wizard that was born on the 28th of March 1979 and started attending Hogwarts on the 1st of September 1990, being sorted into Hufflepuff house.

He almost became one of the many Muggleborn children who were kidnapped to become slaves to Purebloods but he, and his childhood friends Droy and Levy, managed to escape and eventually found their way to the Fairy Tail Orphanage where they then grew up.

Both he and Droy had a crush on Levy since an early age but it never really developed into anything due to the fact that Levy didn't feel the same way about them but she did agree to go to the Yule Ball with him.

In his sixth year, he became a member of Makarov's Army and eventually was forced to go on the run due to his Muggleborn status alongside his friends before he returned to Hogwarts to participate in the Battle of Hogwarts which he survived.

Both he and Droy entered a heavy depression due to the fact that Levy was believed to have perished during the battle but the boys eventually moved on with their lives.

Jet eventually became a Chaser for the Chudley Cannons while Droy ended up working as an herbologist.

Jet eventually ended up meeting and moving on with Risley Law around the time that Levy returned, with him and Risley having three daughters together.

He has an Alder wand with a Unicorn Hair Core.

His Patronus is a Cheetah.

His favorite subjects are Flying and Potions.

His least favorite subjects are Defense Against the Dark Arts and History of Magic.

Thoughts on Cana/Juvia? Platonically or romantically. The scene from battle of fairy tail is stuck in my mind

Hopefully we'll be getting to Battle of fairy tail on our rewatching next week. But for now:

Pre-timeskip their age gap would make the romance impossible for me. But post timeskip both are adults so it would be possible.

To start: it is funny to get this ask because when I was redesigning Cana my brain went "lesbian" and even in canon Cana has Sapphic energy to me so I really only imagine her with women. I was also contemplating asking about Juvia ships outside of canon so this is right in my wheel house.

One more note is that I see Cana's type to be confident, powerful women. People like Risley Law and Arania Webb from Mermaid heel or Erza even. Though she'd never make a move on Erza out of being more intimidated than attracted.

I think pretimeskip they have minimal interactions due to Cana finding Juvia's obsessive nature and passion a bit tiring. The way I see Cana is that she isn't someone to seek out friendships, more just kind of accept them when they show up. I can see her gaining a soft spot for Juvia following the battle of fairy tail which would result in her taking a bit of an interest in Juvia's progress as a mage figuring herself out. But beyond that she'd kind of keep her distance due to being a loner and Juvia largely focusing on trying to fit into team shadowgear.

Post timeskip Juvia has figured herself out and is the one making constant first moves in friendships. I see her getting gifts for all the returning members to Kickstart a bond with them and putting a bunch of thought into it when she does. I mentioned before the idea of Juvia and Droy growing crops/plants for the guild during the timeskip and Droy taking up cooking responsibilities, in that time I can see the duo working together to make their own wines and beers which would've been Juvia's gift for Cana.

Along with a statement that "I was unsure of your preferences outside of drinks, I hope in the future I may learn more about what you enjoy" that kind of makes Cana smile. It would also be one of the few times Cana seeks out to speak to someone when she asks Juvia about the wine and gets more details. I could see them having a more subtle friendship that just kind of happens where you see them sitting together more often.

Juvia post timeskip is much more relaxed, she still has those moments of adoration and excitement, specifically when showing support for her fellow guild members or being complimented by her teammates, but she's an adult and it's clear she's grown. I think if any romance would form between them it would be a lot more subtle than some fairy tail romances. We'd get moments of Cana surprisingly giving juvia things she needed or wanted either for her shop or because Cana saw them and thought of Juvia, actions that normally seem out of place for Cana to do. Cana showing up more and more often in clothes juvia made for her that maybe are a bit more colorful than Cana normally wears but still miraculously something she's okay with. We'd see a slight shift in their conversations as Cana begins to smile and flirt, with Juvia giggling maybe flustering a bit in response but still trying to keep up.

I think they'd be a relationship the guild members would notice, but not be sure of the status of. Are they dating? Are they courting? What's happening? So when they do get together no one is really sure.

as i’ve stated before, zilla truly has nothing personal against fairy tail, makarov aside. however she has studied the abilities of the top mages there, in the event she should ever fight them. and thanks to ivan being her intel, she’s aware that laxus is a dragon slayer. 

however, past that? zilla doesn’t .... keep up as much as she should. she skims through sorceror weekly, she mostly likes the photos — in an artful way, when they are artsy. all this to say? if you’re a famous mage....chances are zilla recognizes your face and remembers this but your name. sorry. 

there are exceptions. rogue cheney being one because Real recognizes Real. another one is risley from mermaid heel, as zilla thinks gravity magic looks fun and interesting. she is tempted to look into it. hibiki lates is another exception, as well as jenny realight. who doesn’t know those two?
