Summary: After the Oracion Seis fight Angel’s spirits give their keys to Lucy. Being curious as to what happened between Loke and the tiger spirit, Lucy asks what happened between them. Loke shows up to share his side

A/n: Hello, thank you to those who asked about part 2. I planned to do part 2 either way but it’s great to see people enjoying my writing. Anyway, I hope you enjoy and as always remember to hydrate or diedrate.

   In terms of time passing it had only been a few hours in the Celestial world, but a week in the human world. I had been waiting for Angel to summon me and punish me for my failure to fight when I was last summoned. But to my surprise I was approached by Aries, Scorpio and Gemini, the three Golden Zodiac’s that were contracted to Angel.

   “We are all ending our contracts with Angel and instead choosing to give our keys to Lucy.” Aries explained timidly.

   The other two nodded. “Yeah and we thought you might want to join us.” Scorpio added.

   I looked at them amazed. “Really, you want me to come with you guys to a new wizard?” I was surprised. They are members of the Golden Zodiac so it wouldn’t be shocking if they had heard everything from Loke.

   “Of course, you don’t deserve to be treated poorly by any wizard, and Lucy treats her spirits like friends.” It was Gemini who spoke next.

    Thinking for a moment, I knew that they were right about how we were treated by Angel, but could I really be contracted to the same wizard as Loke. Would he be okay with that? Before I could think too much on how Loke would feel about it, I made up my mind. It was important for me to put my feelings first and stop worrying about upsetting Loke. If I want to end my contract and give my key to another wizard, I can. “Yeah, I’ll go with you guys.”

    So the four of us terminated our contracts with Angel, and brought our keys to Lucy. The blonde was confused at first, wondering why we would want her to hold our keys, but of course she eventually accepted them, promising to treat us with care. After working out the contracts, the other spirits left back to the Celestial world. I would have gone as well but Lucy asked to speak with me.

    “What was that all about with Loke during the fight with Angel? I tried to ask him about it but he keeps refusing to talk with me about it.” The blonde asked, clearly concerned for her friend. “You don’t have to tell me if you don’t want to but I want to help you work it out, if I can. Seeing my friends upset, upsets me as well.” She said with a gentle smile.

    I thought for a moment before sighing. “I used to be part of Fairy Tail, and me and Loke were a team.” I started earning a surprised look from the wizard. “I had left the Celestial world to find my key and then give it to a wizard that I trusted. While here I heard about Loke being exiled and so I went to offer my help. He eventually agreed. I would give him some of my magic power so he could survive and he would help me search for my key. Though after a while I gave up looking and decided I was happy being a wizard in Fairy Tail and spending my life helping to keep Loke alive.” I explained.

    Lucy seemed to think for a minute before speaking. “Wait, if you were happy here, why did you make a contract with Angel? And why did Loke seem so upset if you were just partners?” She was curious about all the details.

    Letting out a sad chuckle I explained further. “Well we were more than just partners. We dated almost the entire time I was in Fairy Tail. Hell we even had an apartment together. But one day about six months ago we had taken a job that was tougher than we expected. I had used a significant amount of energy and needed to return to the Celestial world to regain my strength.” She nodded along as I explained what happened. “After I told him I’d be back shortly only planning to be gone for a few days, I left to recharge. But when I was about to come back to the guild, Angel summoned me, having stumbled across my key. I tried to come back and at least tell Loke what had happened but Angel threatened me, saying that if I ever returned to Fairy Tail while contracted to her she would make sure I got banished from the Celestial world.” I finished looking at the table we had sat at.

    I waited expecting a response from the blonde, but the voice I heard next was not one I wanted to hear. “That’s Bull crap and you know it.” I turned to the tall spirit.

    “What the hell Loke? Why are you here, I didn’t summon you.” Lucy snapped at the spirit as I looked at him shocked.

    He scoffed, before answering. “I’m here to make sure Y/n doesn’t lie about how she abandoned me.”

    I looked away not wanting to meet his eyes. “I’m not lying Loke, I really did want to come back. But I couldn’t risk the both of us not being able to return to the Celestial world.” I tried to explain.

    It sounded like Loke was about to argue again before Lucy cut him off instead. “Okay, How about this. You two go for a walk away from the Guild Hall, and talk about what happened. You’re on the same side again so you need to get over this. I’m not asking you to get back together but at least come to an understanding and settle things.” She said leaving no room to argue.

    The two of us looked at the blonde shocked. Before either of us could argue she grabbed both of us by the arms and pushed us out the front door. It was silent for a moment as we both stared at the closed wooden doors. “Fine, let’s go talk about this.” Loke spoke first as he began walking.

    I quickly followed behind him, letting him lead the way to wherever he wanted to have this conversation. Eventually we reached the forest at the edge of Magnolia and immediately I recognised the clearing we stopped in. “Why here? Out of all the places, why do you want to talk here?” I was confused, this was the clearing we first spoke in, it was also the place we had our first date, so why would he want to come back here if he was upset with me.

    “Because, this is an important spot to both of us and this is an important conversation we need to have. Now, I want to believe that you didn’t abandon me and that Angel just happened to find your key right after you left, but I can’t. You said it was nearly impossible to find the Jade keys, so how did she happen to find yours right when we were settling into our life together?” He asked. Loke no longer sounded angry, but he did sound hurt. And the hurt was confirmed when I finally met his eyes, and saw how broken he looked.

   Sighing I lowered myself to the grass, not having the energy to stand while having this conversation. “You’re right, I did say it’s nearly impossible to find the Jad Keys. And I wish I could tell you how she found mine, but I have no clue. I tried multiple times to ask her how and where she found my key but she never allowed me to speak with her. She treated me the worst out of all her spirits, from the moment she first summoned me and saw my guild mark on my hand, she acted like I was less than the rest of her spirits.” I explained, eventually breaking eye contact to look at the grass. “I don’t expect you to accept my apologies but I am truly sorry for making you feel like I abandoned you.” I finished holding back tears.

   I heard him move closer but refused to look up, instead focusing on the blades of grass I was fidgeting with. “I guess I should apologize as well.” That sentence made me look up, I was shocked to see Loke kneeling in the grass less than a foot away from me. “I let my emotions get the better of me and didn’t let you say your side of the story. I’m sorry for the things I said to you before and the pain I caused during our fight.” He said with a sad smile.

   “Loke you don’t have to apologize I was the one who left you.” I tried to argue, but he just shook his head.

   He adjusted so he was fully sitting in the grass, before grabbing my hands. “You’re right, I don't have to apologize. But I want to. I want to apologize and work things out because that’s what you do for the ones you love.”

    I couldn’t help the tears that flowed to my eyes. “You still love me, even after what happened?” I asked, amazed.

    Loke gently placed his hand on my cheek. “Of course, I never stopped. I was just hurt, but hearing what happened reminded me that you are far too loyal to purposefully abandon those you care about.” He said while wiping a tear from my cheek. “So, If you’ll allow me, I'd like to give this another try?” 

    My thoughts froze for a moment before I processed what was happening. “Shouldn’t it be me asking you for another chance?” I said leaning into his hand that still rested on my cheek. He just laughed in response. “But to answer your question, yes I’d love to give this another chance. Because no matter what I’ll always love you Loke.” I finished placing a kiss on the palm of his hand.

    “Fantastic.” He responded, sounding excited. “Now we should probably go tell Lucy that everything is fine between us now.” With that Loke stood up offering me his hand.

    Grabbing hold of his arm and pulling myself up from the ground I smiled. “Whatever you say Kitty.” I said with a laugh. He joined in on the laughter before placing a kiss to the top of my head. As we made our way back to the guild hall, I couldn’t help but smile. Even after the hardships we faced, we were able to come back together and now we would face any coming threats side by side.

It's springtime, and your boyfriend, Loke, invited you to have some fun outside Magnolia. You kinda hate the guy, since he's a flirtatious playboy, after all. You also got into trouble because of him, because of his other girlfriends. But you are Loke's first-ever girlfriend that he truly loves, and you love him back with all your heart. He promised himself that he would change, that he would never have a girlfriend other than you. And of course, he kept his promise. You are so happy that you changed the male. And now, the two of you will be having fun on this day.

You woke up by the sound of your alarm clock, stretching in your bed, you turned the alarm off. You sat up on your bed, looking around your room. "Today's the day Loke had invited me to enjoy Spring..." You mumbled to yourself, getting out of bed with a smile gracing your lips. You took a quick shower, slipped into your [f/c] dress, then tied your hair into [f/h].

"[Name]-chan~!" There goes your boyfriend. He is already in front of your house, fetching you for another grand date. "Coming!" You yelled back as you raced down the stairs and then put on your shoes. "Good morning Loke!" You greeted him when you opened the door. There he stood with a bouquet of flowers for you, he was wearing a black tuxedo in his spirit form. "For my lovely girlfriend," He gave you the bouquet which you accepted.

"Thanks, Loke!" You gave him a kiss on the cheeks. "Shall we go then?" He held his arm out, motioning you to take it. "Gladly" You entwined your hand in his arm. Loke decided to take you to a cafe shop since you hadn't eaten for breakfast yet.

The two of you sat outside the cafe, and a waiter went to your table to take your orders. "What do you want, [Name]-chan? It's my treat" Loke smiled at you. "I will have [f/drink] and [f/snack]" You told the waiter while reading the menu. The waiter wrote your order, bowed then left.

"What do you think about Spring, [Name]-chan?" The orange-haired asked you. "Well, it's kinda okay. I got to watch the cherry blossoms, look for a four-leaf clover, and feed the ducks at the pond" You replied, leaning on the table. "I see" Loke smiled again. "How about you?" You turned to him.

"Me?" Loke chuckled, and you nodded. "Every day is perfect for me when I get to see you" He stated, another one of his cheesy lines. "Oh, really?" You laughed. "Don't be like that, [Name]-chan. You're literally my life, after all" He lifted your chin to lock eyes with him, and you can't help but blush.

"Yeah right. Well, you are a celestial spirit and I am a human. You can't die while a human can" You retorted, looking away from his gaze. "If you die, I will come with you" He removed his hand as he said that. You looked at him in confusion, "You will what?"

"Just like I said, I will come with you" He repeated, adjusting his blue glasses. "Why would you do that?" You asked again. "Just like I told you earlier, you are literally my life. If you die, I die" He explained, lips forming into a smile. You just huffed, "If spirits can actually die"

Before Loke can argue back with you, your orders came that prevented him from saying anything. You enjoyed the first part of your spring break with Loke, just sitting outside the cafe while eating, chatting with your boyfriend, and watching the flowers bloom.

After your breakfast, the two of you went to the pond. "Why are we here again?" You asked him, walking your way towards a pond filled with ducks. "We're here to feed the ducks!" He beamed at you, eyes brimming with excitement and enthusiasm.

"Okay..." You sweat-dropped but smiled. The orange-haired gave you some corn and peas for the duck, then motioned you to kneel near the pond. You obeyed his orders and then started feeding the ducks. The two of you enjoyed the time, chatting and laughing while feeding the ducks.

After all the food was gone, Loke decided to take you to the park next. "And what are we going to do here?" You asked him, a smile on your face as you curiously wanted to know what was in his mind. "We're going to find a four-leaf clover" He snaked an arm on your waist, pulling you close. You blushed at his sudden actions, "W-what are you doing?! We're in public, don't do things like this!"

"Oh, come on [Name]-chan~ The park is a perfect place for couples like us~" He flirtatiously whispered in your ear, you could feel shivers running down your spine. "And the best part, the loser has to obey the winner's every command" He added. Now you're sweating.

"S-shut up! And just remove your arm from me and start whatever you just declared!" You flushed red while struggling to get out of his grip. He chuckled before releasing you, you sighed in relief and started to search for a four-leaf clover.

At the park, four-leaf clovers are hard to find, especially when there are a lot of people hanging around the place. And unluckily, Loke is the one who first found the lucky green leaf. "Damn that Lion" You hissed under your breath as you stood up from the ground, glaring at his happy face.

"Don't glare, [Name]-chan~ You're going to enjoy the remaining time you will have with me, after all" He walked to you with the small green leaf between his fingers. "Whatever" You rolled your eyes, arms crossed and face flushed red because of what he meant, and you understood what he meant.

"Let's go and watch the cherry blossoms next, shall we?" He suggested, extending his hand to you. "Well... I guess it doesn't seem so bad" You replied while placing your hand on top of his. He gave your hand a squeeze before leading you toward the center of Magnolia, where the large rainbow sakura trees are planted.

It's almost evening and the sakura leaves will become rainbow in color. Loke knew that you both love rainbow and sakura trees and since you hadn't seen those beautiful trees, he planned to take you to watch them glow. "There are a lot of people here" You commented while the two of you were making your way towards the front. "There will be a special event here soon, that's why there are plenty of people" Loke explained.

"I see. I don't usually go out of my house, so that's why I don't know what's happening in Magnolia that much" You looked down, flustered. "Don't worry about it, [Name]-chan. I will take you outside often so you enjoy here in Magnolia" Loke flashed you a smile, and you smiled back.

Once you and Loke were in front, you saw many large sakura. "Wow!" Your eyes widened in awe, Loke just smiled. "Let's wait and there is still a surprise coming right up," Loke told you, you nodded. After a while, when the skies darkened, the sakura's leaves slowly glowing rainbow.

"Amazing!" You breathed, awestruck at the scene before you. "I know, that's why I took you here" Loke snaked his arm around your waist, pulling you closer. At first, you flinched at the sudden contact, but then you relaxed then placed your head on his shoulder.

"Loke...?" You called, still watching the Sakura light up. "Hm...?" He hummed. "Thank you for this day," You said. "No problem. I'm happy to give everything to my girlfriend, after all," He replied. You gave him a quick peck on the lips before resuming your watch.

How to Flirt

Loke (Leo) x Reader

Quote: “Fall in love with the certainty of uncertainty.”

It was no secret that Loke, a new and budding member of Fairy Tail, was a flirt. Among the many mages of Magnolia, Loke ranked among the top five of eligible bachelors. He was good looking, well mannered and overall a kind individual if not a little over zealous when speaking to those of the opposite gender.

Girls practically fell over themselves (and each other) just trying to catch a glimpse of the mage’s attention. But just as there were girls who flushed over the simplest things from him there were just as many who kept him at an arm's length. Many women that did not fall victim to his charm. And it wasn’t something that bothered Loke all too much. If someone had denied Loke’s affections he easily just moved on to another.

You were a different story though.

Loke had gotten many of Fairy Tail’s female members to at least flush from his forward nature but never once had he seen you get embarrassed. Being almost as forward as him, Loke made it a little goal to be there the first time heat rose up to your cheeks at the thought of a romantic prospect.

Of course, the Fairy Tail mage hadn’t actually gotten anywhere with that little goal. Even after a full year of trials and attempts you remained calm, composed and unblushing.

Loke had begun to consider if you were attracted to the same gender or not to anyone at all. But you were always so direct when talking about men you found attractive. And, maybe or maybe not, Loke was a little peeved that you hadn’t even expressed even the slightest bit of embarrassment around him.

Tonight, getting you to flush had been one of the last things on Loke’s mind as he stumbled into the guild hall. He had been in the midst of drinking his problems away when you strolled into the guild hall and took a seat beside him.

You were always so pretty with your white cloak and pulled back hair.

“Bad day?” You asked, resting on your arm and giving the ginger haired man a heart fluttering smile.

Loke flashed you a smile of his own, “how could it be when I’ve run into someone as beautiful as you?”

“It’s always a bad day when one indulges in mortal sin alone.” you teased.

“Mortal sin?”

“Alcohol.”

“You’re here with me, aren’t you?”

“And are you asking me to drink with you, Loke?” You asked, a twinkle in your eyes.

And how could Loke say no?

To mugs in and Loke was already starting to feel woozy. He felt inclined to take a drink whenever you did, which happened to be whenever one of you stopped talking. His words were already beginning to get slurred and people's faces were beginning to merge into one. The conversation between yourself and Loke was mostly about mundane things, or at least Loke thought it was. It was getting really hard to concentrate.

Fifteen minutes in and Loke was certain he had finished at least four and was on his fifth. While Loke never considered himself a weak drinker, drinking this much this quickly wasn’t bound to produce anything good.

You were sitting so close to Loke right now. He could feel the warmth of your skin, or maybe that was just his own? He couldn’t be too sure. It was so annoying how you didn’t seem fazed by the drinking. Maybe he should just abandon you to go find someone else to drown his worries in. Someone that he wouldn’t have to face for the rest of his life. At least then he wouldn’t have to worry about embarrassing himself.

Actually, did Loke really care right now?

He was certain he spilled half of his fourth mug on himself and hadn’t done anything about it.

Hopefully you wouldn’t tease him too much.

And even if you did tease him too much, it’s not like Loke wouldn’t be able to recover. You were always such a loose cannon when you spoke. Half of what you said always managed to surprise him. Even predicting what you might say right now seems like a hassle.

“You know,” Loke grumbled, “do you not find me attractive? I mean, everyone has types and all but you never seem fazed by my flirting.”

At first, Loke hadn’t been expecting you to accept the challenge. You were always so proper and formal. You downed the mug in your hand before slamming it onto the table. Loke watched you curiously as you rearranged your cloak before you smiled sweetly.

Despite asking you, and being ready, he hadn’t expected you to jump directly into the role of a seductress. It was almost a jarring change, seeing you who had always been so reserved suddenly switch personas.

“Take someone like Gray, for example,” you began. Loke turned to see the aforementioned Ice Make Wizard. Gray had been leaning back and relaxing at a booth, gazing over the guild when his eyes landed on the two of you, more specifically you. You smiled shyly at Gray, “he finds the subtle and shy approach the most endearing,” before turning away quickly. Gray flushed a red as he continued looking over at you.

It was almost as if Gray had caught you sneaking a glance.

The Ice Make Wizard, who had eventually turned away kept snapping his gaze back over to you. As if you suddenly kept recapturing his attention.

“It enforces the idea that you like someone so much yet you’re unable to say it aloud.” Then you moved from the seat beside Loke, sitting in the one across from him, “now, someone like Laxus is a little thicker headed. He needs something straightforward and upfront.”

Laxus, who now sat in front of you, a few tables over, caught your gaze. Loke turned to see the Lightning Mage surrounded by the Thunder Troupe. His own gaze was lazy as he listened to the conversations of his guildmates.

You gave the Lighting Mage a wink when his eyes met with yours, “you want to keep eye contact with someone like him. Spell out your intentions.” you giggled as the Lighting Mage looked away, red tingeing the tip of his ears.

Laxus’s sudden movements seemed to have caught the attention of his trio of friends as they all turned to look at him. When Freed had asked Laxus what was wrong the Lighting Wizard could only mumble something in response. Unlike Gray, Laxus was the kind of person to linger on the moment yet refuse to look back.

His ears remained red for the remainder of the night.

You seemed fairly satisfied with yourself as you leaned forward, playing with your now empty mug. Your own eyes watched Loke closely, as if waiting for something.

“How about directly flirting?” Loke asked.

You smiled, “call someone over.”

Loke looked around. He didn’t want to pick someone who would fall for the slightest amount of attention, and definitely not someone you had already charmed. It couldn’t be someone so easily embarrassed either.

While there was no official bet was made, this was suddenly something that Loke didn’t want to lose.

Finally, Loke smirked, “Natsu! Come over here!”

“Nice,” you sat upright in your seat, “someone like Natsu isn’t embarrassed easily. You gotta be direct yet not overly baring.”

“Yo, what’s up, Loke?” Natsu asked, sliding into the seat beside you.

You gave a cheerful and excited grin, “Natsu, how has your mission gone today? I heard you had Happy faced some pretty tough monsters.”

“Oh yeah!” Natsu exclaimed, “I totally got busted up. But I did finish the quest without too many casualties!”

“You’ve gotten really good at your Magic, Natsu~” you gave a closed eye smile, “we should go on a mission together soon!”

“Oh,” Natsu was suddenly at a loss for words as he looked at you. It was almost as if he were unaware of everything else going on around the two of you. Loke didn’t think that Natsu would have fallen victim to your charms that quickly. He was always someone less aware of social norms. “You know, we could go on a mission-” before Natsu could finish his sentence Happy had scrambled over to Natsu with a sheepish grin on his face. The blue Exceed whispered something into the Dragon Slayer’s ear before the two of them were off, giggling like school girls.

It left just the two of you at the table once again.

“So what do you think?” You asked, “impressed?”

Loke had to admit, you were pretty good at flirting. He was almost speechless as he watched you lean back in your chair with a cocky grin. Of course, no matter how drunk Loke may have been, he still had one more trick up his sleeve before he would wave the white flag.

“How would you flirt with me?” Asked Loke, a smug grin forming on his face.

Your own smile dropped and your expression turned serious. Your brows furrowed slightly as you seemed to debate something. Loke knew that the tides were suddenly shifting in favour of him now.

Gray, Laxus and Natsu had been your childhood friends. You knew them inside out and had history with them. By choosing himself Loke changed the battlefield. You would now be playing on even ground. And in Loke’s many years of life, there wasn’t much that would have surprised him all too much. Especially after your own display.

Then you leaned in towards him, “you, Sir Loke, are someone who keeps your own heart under a lock and key. You keep your feelings hidden deep down here,” you poked his chest, “so I’ll bring mine directly up to the surface for you to see. I like you Loke. I like you the way a girl likes a boy; filled with so much unknown and excitement. The way a woman likes a man; attraction and enchantment. And the way a wife likes her husband; with warmth and knowing.”

Loke suddenly felt himself leaning in towards you, his heart thumping erratically, “I didn’t know you could be such a flirt, (Y/n).”

“Do you think I’m lying?” You turned your head to the side in a cute manner, “I really do like you. I wouldn’t have just gone off and done what I just did if I didn’t really like someone. I wanted to show off to you.”

Loke’s own face had begun heating up. Even when he told himself that this was all just for show, even when he knew that this was all just for the sake of a stupid argument, he suddenly found himself flushed with embaressment. Your words had just come out so genuinely and unexpectedly.

Girls typically fell into two categories when speaking to Loke. Either giddy and shy or disgusted and disgruntled. You fell into neither, which was likely why Loke had been so drawn to you in the first place.

Maybe it wasn’t the best thing to ask you to flirt with him. He had always liked you a little too much and this may have been the icing on the cake. Loke rarely allowed himself to indulge in mortal pleasure for too long and being with you seemed to make him forget his sense of time. It made him forget his sense of self. You made him forget his sense of self.

How could he have really known if that's how you were feeling? He had just seen you charm three other of your guild members in a matter of moments. You were magnetic and so ready to shift personas into what you knew the person liked.

What if that was what you were doing to him?

Maybe Loke might’ve deserved it for all the broken hearts he left behind. But you had just seemed so… genuine. But he guessed that was what made you so good at flirting in the first place.

“Do you?” Loke trailed off.

“Do I?”

Loke swallowed, “is that how you really feel about me?”

“Of course, though I doubt you’ll remember. You’re really wasted right now.”

“No.” Loke declared, “I want to remember this moment forever.”

You chuckled, “why?”

“Because I’m really happy knowing how you feel about me.”

And finally, you flushed, “come on, let’s get you to bed.”

Loke leaned into your warmth as you wrapped an arm around him, “promise you’ll be there tomorrow morning?”

“We’ll see.”

I just made a Fairy Tail story. I'm sorry for people who wanted Chika Shihouin X Reader but like I mentioned before, college is a pain and I kinda regret just writing this this late at night. Wendy Marvell x Leo Regulus headcanons:

They both are shy just in general and nature. 

The first time they saw the other in a more angered state, was when they were fighting side by side to fight off an enemy.

From then on, the two were extremely close. 

Regulus would confide in Wendy everyday about small stupid things

Wendy would cry against Regulus’s chest when things were just too much for her to handle at times. 

When Regulus asked Wendy out for the first time, Wendy was bright red. She stuttered out a yes and had a smile on her face. 

During a battle, all the saints were down and Wendy stepped in.

Wendy released her dragon slayer aura and everyone but Regulus was caught off guard. 

Her hair turned a pale purple while the wind surrounded her like a tornado. 

She released attack after attack on the enemy and Regulus just grinned for all he was worth. 

Regulus will take Wendy out on regular dates every so often when he isn't super busy or when she isn’t super busy. 

The most pda they perform in public is hand holding and the occasional kiss. 

Wendy is just extremely shy when it comes to something like this. She never had anyone that she liked until now. 

Wendy becomes a part of the gold saint even though she isn’t a saint of Athena.

Regulus is the only person that she can really tolerate when being talked to. She gets so overwhelmed when the others start talking to her.

“Let’s go into town later. I heard they have some cute little dragon pendants there.”

“Really?”

“Yeah, they made them in honor of you Wendy. After all, you are the Sky dragon slayer.”

As the two get older, they both grow out of their shy stage and become more talkative with others. 

They soon allow the world to know they are dating and start showing a little more pda in public. NOT A LOT THOUGH. Kissing and hugging is as far as they will go.

They are extremely strong when fighting together. 

It isn’t long before they are keeping the enemy at bay and or destroying everything they have worked for. 

“We are such a good team.”

“That we are Regulus. I’m glad that everyone is ok though.”

A/N: So, this is super short and sweet but I wanted to get something written today and this is the only request that I felt like I could tackle rn. I hope you enjoy it regardless. Apologies for taking so long to write something again. Requests are open and as always love to all!

Prompt: Person A and Person B are walking down the sidewalk together. Person A trips and Person B catches them, ending up in a dramatic dip. Someone yells, “When’s the wedding?”

I watched as all of my friends gathered around chatting before we embark on our shopping trip. Everyone from Team Natsu managed to make it today. Even a special honorary member of our team is going and I’m so nervous yet excited at the same time. Lucy has been teasing me about the blush across my cheeks ever since Loki popped in unexpectedly and declared he was tagging along.

“I swear I will make sure you two are together before the end of the day if it’s the last thing I do,” Lucy squeals in my ear.

“Lucy, please don’t. I highly doubt he’s into some human like me. He’s a celestial spirit for crying out loud,” I mumble as I try to quiet her down to avoid being heard.

“Oh please. He’s dated tons of human girls. You’re stunningly gorgeous, incredibly smart, and extremely strong. There’s no way he isn’t into you,” Lucy replies in exasperation. I roll my eyes and follow behind the group as Erza begins herding us out of the Guild Hall and toward the shopping district.

As everyone walks along the sidewalk in front of me, I drop back a little bit to get some space. I’m taking deep breaths in an attempt to calm myself as Loki drops back from the group to join me. “Whatcha doin’ back here by yourself?” he inquires in a nonchalant manner.

I shrug, “It’s nothing. They can just be a little suffocating sometimes,” I respond trying to sound calm. We walk on in silence and I can’t seem to take my eyes off of him. He smiles softly at the little kids eating ice cream and waves at an elderly lady. He even stops for a quick moment to snap a picture of a bird perched upon a lamp post. The little things he does stirs up butterflies in my stomach.

I’m so lost in my admiration and thoughts about him that I trip over a crack in the sidewalk. Somehow, before I manage to introduce my face to the sidewalk, Loki catches me in his arms. As he holds me in the dip, my cheeks blush redder than Erza’s hair. The group stops to turn around and as they do, I hear Lucy yell, “When’s the wedding?!” This, of course, causes me to blush even more.

Loki stands me upright again before taking my hand in his and leading me back towards the group. It’s really quiet aside from the chatter floating back from the group ahead. That is until Loki leans down to whisper in my ear, “We should go out on a date sometime, cutie.” For the third time today, I blush and he chuckles, “You look so cute when you blush.” We walk on in silence as I attempt to calm myself down and stop internally squealing with excitement.

A/n: Hello, I’m thankful for the request. I recently started a rewatch of Fairy Tail in preparation for the new series and realized how much I like Loke, so thank you for feeding my need for him. Anyway I decided to make the Reader the Tiger Zodiac from the Chinese Zodiac because I thought it’s be fun to put the two big cats together. Also because they likely wouldn’t call it the Chinese zodiac I called the Eastern Zodiac because the more Asian inspired parts of Fairy Tail were referred to as being from the Eastern Continent, just so it makes sense. Well without further ado, I hope you enjoy and as always remember to hydrate or diedrate. 

  The Jade Zodiac Keys are much harder to come by as not many wizards know of their existence so for one of us to get contracted we have to do the leg work. I personally grew impatient and decided to go find my key and then find a wizard I trusted with it. So, I left in search of my key and wizard.

   It was long after I left, when I heard that one of the Golden zodiac spirits was banished from our home. Being the curious spirit I am, I went in search of the banished spirit. Eventually I stumbled upon a guild hall in the small town of Magnolia. Entering the Fairy Tail guild hall, I was immediately drawn to a ginger wizard surrounded by women. If it wasn’t for the familiar energy radiating from him I would have thought he was just another wizard, but being a spirit myself I was easily able to tell what he really was.

  I quickly approached the table, catching the attention of the group. “Excuse me but could I speak with you for a moment?” I asked, picking up on the fact that he was likely hiding his true nature from those around him.

  The ginger froze, likely figuring out what I was the same way I picked him out of the crowd. “Sure, who am I to deny a lovely creature like you, my attention.” His voice came off as flirtatious but there was an underlying hint of worry. He waved off the women, ignoring their whines, before standing up. “But, uh, not around here. Follow me.” With that he motioned for me to follow him out of the hall.

   After walking for a few minutes in tense silence we reached a small clearing just outside of town. “So, did the Celestial Spirit King send you to kill me?” He said, turning to look at me over the edge of his glasses. “He finally decided that it would be easier than having a rogue spirit running about.” He was stating it like it was fact.

   “No actually, I heard that one of the twelve golden zodiacs got banished and wanted to see if it was true.” I started earning a confused look. “So, what did the great and powerful Leo do to get exiled from his home among the stars?” I asked, while leaning against a tree.

   I didn’t miss the slight glare he sent at my mockery of his title. “What’s it to you? Do you think I would really believe you came all the way from the celestial world to ask why I got banished?” He now sounded defensive. “Also it’s Loke now, I left the name Leo behind.” 

  “First,I didn’t leave the Celestial world just for you. If I just wanted to know what happened I’d have asked around there. Second, The jade keys that are bound to the Eastern Zodiacs are nearly impossible to find. So, I set out to find my key. Once I do that I’m gonna find a wizard I can trust to make a contract with.” I explained to the confused spirit.

  He still looked confused but spoke up. “So, what exactly is the point of taking the time to find me? Just go find your key and leave me to enjoy what time I have left.” Loke said. “Why waste your time and energy to come talk to me, if it’s so difficult to find your stupid key.” 

  I looked at him shocked. “Put the claws away kitty. If I had any idea where my key was I wouldn’t be here. I came searching for you because I figured we could help each other out.” I stated.

  “How exactly can you help me? Once I run out of magic I’m dead, unless you can somehow convince the King that I didn’t do anything wrong, there’s nothing you can do to help me.” He turned away, getting ready to walk away.

   I nodded, moving away from the tree. “You’re right, I can’t convince the King you did nothing wrong. Because I have no clue what you did in the first place. But what I can do is share my power with you to give you more time.” I said placing my hand on his shoulder, demonstrating my proposal by pushing a wave of my own magic through him. He looked over his shoulder at me confused. “I can still return to the Celestial world whenever I need to recharge, you on the other hand won’t last much longer here without a supply of power. So, I’ll give you some of my magic every now and then, if you promise to help me find my key?” I asked hopefully.

   Loke thought for a minute, before responding. “Sure, I’ll help you. But once we find your key, I want you to forget about me, and let me die in peace.” He sounded like he already accepted he was going to die sooner or later, and he was just agreeing knowing I would be persistent. I nodded in agreement. “Also, no one knows that I’m a spirit, the guild thinks I’m just a normal wizard. I don’t care if they know that you’re a spirit but no one and I mean one is to know what I am. Got it?”

   “Whatever you say, Kitty. It will probably be easier for us if people think I’m also just a wizard, anyways.” I answered. “So, Loke, shall you introduce me to the guild I’ll be joining?” I asked, moving to walk in front of him.

   He just rolled his eyes. “Yeah whatever. Just stop with the Kitty shit.” With that we made our way back to the guild hall.

   Time skip to shortly before Lucy joins Fairy Tail.

   It has been almost three years since I joined Fairy Tail. Loke and I have spent the time going on jobs and becoming closer, while also searching for my gate key. Though somewhere along the way my priorities changed. I was no longer worried about finding my key, I instead was focused on keeping Loke around for as long as possible. We had grown extremely close fairly quickly.   

   After only three months of working together, Loke asked me out on a date. During which he told me about why he was banished and told me that if that changed how I felt he would understand. Though he had nothing to worry about because after he finished his story, I pulled him close and promised that I would stick by his side. I had told him that had it been me, I would have likely done the same. With our new found understanding and bond we became almost inseparable.

  Unfortunately for us, good things never last long. We had just finished up on a tough job and I had expended a great deal of my power. “Hey Loke, I’m going to return to the Celestial world for a bit to recharge. I’ll be back soon, Ok?” I said leaning on his shoulder as we sat waiting for a train to take us back to Magnolia.

  “Yeah, ok. I’ll tell the guild you aren’t feeling well and decided to go home.” He said with a nod. “Don’t take too long though, I don’t know if I can cover for three months again.” There was a slight chuckle in his voice at the reference to the one time I forgot that a day in the celestial world is three months in the human world.

  I laughed as well. “That was one time. Well I’ll be off. I love you and remember to stay safe Kitty.” I said placing a kiss to his forehead making sure to transfer the little extra power I had left, just in case I did take longer to recover than I planned. As I faded I heard a quiet ‘i love you too, kitty’ and couldn’t help but smile at our shared nickname for each other.

  After resting for a few hours and recharging my power I started to get ready to return to Loke. But I was stopped by a familiar sensation that I hadn’t felt in so long. Before I could even register what was happening, I was pulled through the gate and was now face to face with white haired woman. One hand was on her waist while the other held a familiar green key.

  “So you’re Y/n the Jade Tiger.” She said in a cold tone. “You are now my spirit and you will do as you’re told.” She said leaving no room to argue. Before I could speak she looked at me, noticing the guild mark on my hand. “Oh, you’ve been playing human have you? Well that’s over now. If I find out you returned to that reached guild, I’ll make sure you regret it.” It was clear from her tone that she was not one of the nice Celestial wizards. She viewed spirits as property and nothing more. “Now gate close, you better be ready to fight when I call you.”

   Returning to the celestial world after being summoned was an odd feeling after spending so long coming and going whenever I chose to. I looked around my small section of the Celestial world trying to figure out how to return to Loke. I was now contracted to a wizard and though I had no say in the contrat it was now set, I had to obey her wishes. If I went against them, I would be exiled for breaking the contract and then there would be no way to help Loke. So, I resolved myself to sitting and waiting to be summoned, hoping that I could convince my new wizard to allow me to visit Loke if only once to explain what has happened.

   Time skip to Lucy Vs. Angel

   No matter how hard I tried to convince Angel to allow me on final visit to my old guild, she would never let it happen. It was fruitless to try and argue with her, so I just hoped Loke knew I didn’t abandon him. I worried constantly that he would fade away while I was away and just hoped that one day I could see him again.

   My prayer to see him again was answered in a way I never expected. I had been sitting talking to one of the other Jade Zodiacs, when I was summoned. The trip between worlds always throws off my senses when I'm summoned, but once I opened my eyes and took in my surroundings I froze. Standing just feet in front of me was none other than Loke. His hair was longer now, and he was wearing a nice suit, but I could never forget those eyes.

   “Loke, you’re okay. I was so worried about you.” I said moving to get closer to him.

   I watched as a river of emotions flashed across his face. “I see you found your key, good for you.” It seems he settled on indifference for our reunion. 

   The blonde standing behind him looked at him confused. “You know this spirit Loke? Is she one of your friends?” She asked him.

   “I know this spirit, or at least I thought I did. And no she’s not my friend.” It felt like I had been stabbed in the heart, hearing the malice that laced his voice.

   Before I could speak again and explain myself, Angel spoke up. “Enough, I called you here to fight, not wallow in the past now take out Leo and kill that wizard so I can take her keys.” Her words caught everyone's attention.

   I turned away from Loke, looking to the wizard I was contracted with. “You can’t expect me to fight him, anyone but him.” I said, holding back tears.

   “You will fight whoever I tell you to fight. Now fight him.” Angel said clearly not wanting to deal with my defiance

   I was about to retort but was interrupted by a wave of yellow light washing over me. Turning quickly I saw Loke preparing to fight. “What are you doing Loke? I can’t fight you. I know it seems like I abandoned you but I didn’t I promise. Please listen to me for five seconds.” I begged, as I began deflecting the punches Loke was sending my way.

   “I don’t want to hear it. You broke your promise, you never came back. I almost died and you were nowhere to be found, had Lucy not been there I would be dead.” He spat as he continued throwing punches. I didn’t even have a chance to speak between deflecting his attacks and the words that honestly hurt more than any punch could. “I waited for you for months, saying that it was probably just taking longer for you to recharge. I waited in our apartment for you to show up and you never did. You abandoned me and now you’re contracted to this bitch, doing her dirty work. I thought you were going to give your key to someone you could trust.”

   He only stopped when I lost my footing falling flat on the ground. “I never meant to be gone for so long. I tried to come back but I couldn’t. You have every right to hate me for leaving you when you needed me.” I said, holding back tears. “I’m just glad someone was able to save you.” Sitting up slightly, I turned to look at the blonde wizard that held Loke’s key. “I guess I should thank you for saving Loke.” I finished with a said smile. Before I could say more or hear a response, Angel closed my gate sending me back to the celestial world. Back among the stars, I prayed that Loke and his wizard would beat Angel. Even if I know that Loke will likely never accept my apology, I hope that he will someday know that I never meant to abandon him.

Cana/Kana Alberona

You’re the first one to wake up. Cana snores loudly from her place on your chest, using you as a human pillow. Your face heats up at how close she’s gotten, but you decide to let her sleep in. However, that doesn’t last very long.

“Mm, morning, Y/N.” Cana rubs her eyes and glances at you, vision slowly clearing. “Your face is red.” She bluntly states.

“I- uh, yeah.” You awkwardly laugh it off, avoiding her eyes and instead glancing to the clock that’s to the right of you. 10:27am. “We should get up. The guild is probably-”

“Nah. Who cares about them anyways?” She leans up and kisses you gently on the mouth. The faint taste of alcohol from the night before remains, making you turn away

“You still taste like alcohol.” You quietly say. Cana faces the other direction, exhaling into her hand and makes a face, trying to decide if it’s worth it to get up.

“Fine.” She draws out, “Can you make breakfast? You make the best pancakes.” The way she looked at you when she asked caused your brain to malfunction. That’s when you can finally take in each others appearances. Cana’s hair is messy, her makeup from the night before is smeared, eyes barely open. You can’t say you look much different. She had convinced you to drink with her, and you got a little carried away.

“Okay.” Is all you manage to say. She pats your head before going into the bathroom to get ready.

As soon as she comes out, she finds you in the kitchen still making food. Arms wrap around you from behind as she rests her head on your shoulder, mumbling about how she just wants to stay in bed. You drop the spatula in shock, becoming flustered at the contact. Despite this, she picks it back up and hands it to you before talking about some mission she went on the day before.

You listen intently, making notes of little details, how she got injured, though it was just a small cut. This is how it usually is between you two. She talks about random things, you listen quietly. At least until she says something that sparks interest in you. When she does and you start talking, she quiets down and listens to you with a small, loving smile on her face. You become flustered with how much you talked and apologize for saying so much, she brushes it off and continues, determined to find something that will get you to ramble again. When she finishes, the food is done and you’re both at the table about to dig in.

“You know,” she starts, “I love waking up with you like this. Then I can see you get all flustered from doing nothing at all.” She laughs. You hide behind your hands, because whether you like it or not, she was right. And even if you didn’t say it, she knows you feel the same way.

Loke/Leo

Opening your eyes, you stare at the ceiling, slowly coming to your senses. That’s when you remember Loke had convinced you to spend the night at his place, after having a movie night that went too late for you to walk home after. You look to his side of the bed and see it empty, confusion setting on your face.

“Loke..?” You ask quietly, afraid to be too loud.

“Yes, love?” He smiles at the doorway. You jolt in your place, seeing him there.

“How long have you been there?” You pull the blanket over your face, trying to disappear.

“Not long, darling. I was just about to wake you.” You hear footsteps before weight is added to the bed. “Come on, don’t hide your cute face from me.” His teasing voice makes you hold the blanket tighter, however it’s not enough. He gently takes it from your hands, taking in the sight of you. Messy hair, slightly red face, clothes slightly askew. “Beautiful..” He mumbles.

“Loke.” You whine, this time deciding to cover your face with your hands. “That’s embarrassing..”

“Nothing to be embarrassed about, my love. You’re going to have to get used to this. Because I want to wake up with you here every morning.” That does it. You can’t think. He takes advantage of this and moves your hands, leaning down and kissing you gently on the nose. “Come on now, the food with get cold.”

“Food?” You ask, coming to your senses.

“Haha, as always food is what gets you. I made breakfast. Let’s hurry before it gets cold.”

The two of you sit in the kitchen, eating the food he prepared. Mostly just you eating, Loke staring at you with a bright smile on his face. When you finally notice his staring, you stop eating. “What?” You ask, barely audible through the food in your mouth.

“Just thinking of how lucky I am. And how much I love you.” He winks. 

You choke on your food, hands going to your chest in shock. Loke’s eyes widen as he ruses to get you water. When you finally calm down, he looks exteremly guilty for causing this.

“I shouldn’t have said that, right? I’m sorry.” 

“Loke I..” You repeat the words in your head, trying to get your mouth to speak them. The way he’s looking at you makes your face heat up, but you continue, “I love you... too..” You get quieter as you continue talking, slowly fading out.

“You do?” He asks. When you nod, he grabs your hand from across the table, “I’m glad.’
