ShiSaku Week: Day 4
The kingdom of konoha was one with many legends. From a boy who is a half Kitsune that protected the village from within the woods, to a Naga who promised power only to steal your boy and wear it as if it was their own.
Of course no once believed these legends. In fact, many of them where to to either scare the kids from misbehaving, keep them out if the woods, or to be a simple bedtime story. Nothing more than that. In other words, they were not real.
However, when a girl just shy of 16, was being chased by her villagers, she had to find reassure in those stories as she ran into the depths of the woods.
The deeper she went the farther their yells became, until they had stopped completely.
No one really dared to venture too deep into these woods. Especially, when one legends told of the flora moving on it's own and of fae who loved to torment humans.
Bow that her pursuers had stopped chasing her, she slowed down to walk. The animals of night where the only ones who kept her company with their sounds during her stroll.
At least that's what she thought.
If only she was aware of the red eyes watching her from above. The man followed swiftly and silently. He did not want to suddenly appear before her while her adrenaline was bearly coming down.
When she came to water fall,  Sakura knelt down next to the pool, cupping her hands  so that she could gather some water to drink.
The water was cool, and it quenched her thirst from all the running earlier.
Taking her time, Sakura was her arms trying to keep the scratches from the branches clean. Then she splashed some on her face. She didn't  care that some of stray hairs from her pony got wet. All she wanted was to somewhat calm her racing thoughts. In fact, what she needed right now was a plan.
Ever since Ami, one of her school bullies removed the scarf, hiding her unnatural pink locks; she was deemed a witch. It also didn't help that she was proficient in medical practices. Sakura knew that rather than helping her during her trial, it would only be used against her. Witchcraft is what they would call it.
As you can guess, it was very uncommon, (more like unnatural) for a woman to know such knowledge in Konoha.
That was why she had to run into the forest. Had she stayed to fave trial; prove herself innocent she'd only be burned at the stake.
Tears began to slip down her face and into the watch. The stress and reality of her situation was beginning to get to her.
"Humans," a male's voice said from above.
Sakura shot up onto her feet. Looking up into the trees all around her.
"Whenever I encounter your kind, you're all either screaming or crying. Is that really all you beings know how to do," the voice said, boorishly.
"From the way you speak, it almost makes me thing you don't consider yourself human," she said, with her guard up.
His laughter echoed from all directions of the forest.
"So, you can talk back," he said, with amusement, "but how would you know if I'm human or not? Everyone knows of the legends that surround this forest."
Sakura glared at the tree tops, knowing full well he was trying to scare her. Well, it was going to take more than his silly mind games to scare her.
"Well, that's all they are. Legends. Things that guardians tell their wards to get them to behave. Now, if you're done playing your games; why don't you come out of the shadows and face me," Sakura yelled.
"That's big talk coming from a girl who was running from her own kind."
The voice this time came from behind her.
Whipping around to face the man, Sakura could help but hold her breath. Before her was a man with dark curly haired, and red eyes. The only things keeping him modest was the armor like material around his shoulders, and some very worn pants. However, what really caught her eye were the giant black wings.
"Breathe human," he said, with a smirk.
'Right. Breathing. Breathing is good,' Sakura thought, letting out the air from her lungs.
He eyed her as she slowly began to breathe in and out.
Shisui found her green eyes mesmerizing, but her pastel pink hair was something he found uncommon with her kind. In fact, it reminded him of a fae he once knew, but that was centuries ago.
He began to circle the girl. He couldn't help but question the practicality of herclothing as he lifted the first layer of her dress. This of course caused her to swat his hand away.
'She's quite brazen. I wonder how long she can keep that up,' he thought before asking, "What do the call you?"
Sakura now knowing the legends were true, went through ever one that her father told her to identify the being before her. "Ethereal beauty, wings, playful, and going by that smirk, very flirtatious.... Ah! I got it,' she thought, as she eyed his every move.
"Flora," she replied.
"Flora," he said, testing the name, " You know, somehow I don't believe that's you're name."
He rose an eyebrow and crossed his arms. He wanted her name. Since she managed to pique his interests.
"I know what you are. You must take me for a fool to give you any sort of power over me," she challenged.
It is advised to never catch the interest of a fae. Especially those belonging to the dark fae.
He got withing her personal space, he cornered her to the edge of the pool.
'What a horrible time to not know how to swim,' she thought, holding his gaze. She refused to show weakness in front of the fae. Especially now that they are centimeters away from eachother's face.
"Then what am I,' he questioned, giving her a smile while giving her a glimpse of his fangs.
Narrowing her eyes she didn't answer. She didn't want to be caught up in his games.
"Shisui," he said.
"What?"
"My name. I think it's only a fair exchange for your real name."
"Nice try, but I'm not falling for it."
"And here I was going to offer my help," he said, with fake disappointment as he stepped back.
"And how would you be able to help me," she questioned, rolling her eyes.
"Don't you really think you can survive here in the forest alone? By now, you ought to consider that all the legends are true. I'll be honest, I am kinder to your kind compared to everything else in this forest," he said leaning against a tree.
Sakura's hands become fists. She really wanted to hit something. Well, more like she wanted to hit Shisui. She hated that he knew full well that he knew that she couldn't survive in the forest alone. That he knew she'd need someone like him to help her.
Looking down at the grass, she said, "Sakura. My name is Sakura."
If anything his smirk seemed to turn into a smile. That smile dispire it looking sweet, held some wickedness. She belonged to him now.
"See? That wasn't so hard," Shisui said, lifting a hand into the tree.
Sakura watched as she broke a small branch. From his hands came a shimmering gold like mist. It covered the branch, and small white flowers began to bloom from it.
He beckoned her her over, before placing the branch in her hands.
"A peace offering."
"Thank you," she whispered.
The next morning the villagers of konoha went out in search for the girl.
The forest was different during the day. It was more forgiving; less alive.
The only traces of the pink haired girl they found were strands of her pink hair by the pool of the waterfall and pieces of her dress in the trees.
Sakura haruno became one of the many legends told to the villages' young for generations to come.

→ @shisui-uchiha-anon sent:  "No peeking Green eyes--" He said standing between the fairy and the canvas.
Tumblr media
He started to work on the painting but he never expected that she will be this persistent. Like sending birds to pester him, sending bugs even grasshoppers two green those big ones, and one brown. "Seriously Sakura? I am not five anymore" He shook his  head
Then when that didn't work she came personally transforming from he fae shape to her human form. Till she finally got a glimpse of what was on the canvas
"Well I hope you are happy now, you spoiled surprise" He teased as she watched her half-face and left eye on the canvas.
Tumblr media
Patience was never one of her virtues and this was taking entirely too long for her liking. Not that she minded it, but she wanted to see the progress. Sakura was a curious little thing and Shisui was a someone that intrigued her immensely.
She truly thought the grasshoppers would work, but nope. She would need to take matters into her own tiny hands, and that was exactly what Sakura did. Only in her human form would she have the means to wrestle Shisui away from the canvas, so there she was. Tall and peeking around Shisui’s shoulder, grabbing on to him so he wouldn’t try anything funny.
The colors were so vivid, far more than she believed her eyes could ever be. Painstaking detail was put into her iris and eyelashes, and the few pink strands of hair that fell over her eye. It wasn’t done, but it already made her feel all sorts of things to look at. The painting was shaping up to be beautiful. Was that how Shisui saw her?
Tumblr media
“You know I don’t like to wait,” Sakura argued with a grin, turning her green eyes to Shisui instead. “I wanted to see it. And I’ll still be amazed when it’s done, so what’s the harm?” There was a dust of pink on her cheeks. Sakura had gotten too close to him again, still getting the hang of human personal space.
“I like it. It’s very pretty.”

For Fae 💕 Belated Happy Birthdayyyy 🎉 Hope you had a wonderful celebration, and wishing you a fantastic year ahead!
Artist’s Notes: This art was delayed because I got carpal tunnel a few weeks ago so I wasn’t able to draw 😩 Thank goodness that it healed after a week of resting, but you can imagine my anxiousness for not being able to do anything for a whole week 😅😂 Anyway, this art is part of the OC Celebration that a few discord friends and I decided to do, wherein we create art/write fic for each other’s OCs. This is the second one of the lot, so stay tuned for the next ones!
OC and Scene Description: The OC is made by @harmonyowl and her name is Uchiha Erika. Depending on the universe, she’s paired with either Konohamaru, Shikamaru, or Shisui, but of course, I picked Shisui for this art 😉 Erika is the younger sister of Itachi and Sasuke, and like her siblings, she’s also a well-respected member of the village acting as Konoha’s ambassador. There’s totally lots of pining between her and Shisui especially since he’s the best friend of her brother (and she’s, well, Itachi’s younger sister 😂). Their ship name is EriShi 💜
In this scene, Shisui just arrived home from a pretty difficult mission. So, of course, the first thing on his mind is to go back home to his lady love, but before that, he stops over to get Erika her favourite flower: a sunflower. Arriving home and seeing Erika on the couch, he goes and plops down beside her, gives her the flower, and nuzzles his face close to her. He loves her 🥰

Characters/Pairing: Shisui x Sakura; eventual Uchiha x Sakura; Sasuke
Title: Bewitched [Part One]
Rating: General
Bewitched
The woods surrounding Konoha are beautiful in every sense of the word.
They lie friendly in the day, with their evergreen needles and their redwood trunks. But at night, they’re darkly ominous. The endearing chirrups of gold-winged sparrows are nonexistent, instead replaced with the trills of crickets and the rattle of cicadas. A low hanging fog settles in, swirling mischievously at Sakura’s feet, while pathetic streams of moonlight dapple through the thick canopy. It's so dark now that the pitiful flames of her lantern are nearly swallowed whole and the only thing keeping her from stumbling are the outstretched hands of the surrounding trees and the unsettling churning in her gut.
To step into the embrace of the woods so close to the witching hour, is to welcome darkness, because these woods are thieves. They rob visitors of their senses—blinds them in exchange for the ears of a wolf and the nose of a rat. Envelops them in a claustrophobic entanglement of shadows and susurring branches. And sometimes, if the woods feel impish enough, the woods take more than that.
Ignoring the anxiety constricting her chest, Sakura carefully reaches for the holster draped at her waist and pulls out her panflute. The woods grow hushed as the first notes of her song carries through the void. There are no more crickets, no more birds. Not even a whistle of wind. Only her footsteps and her melody. Her song is low, ominous like the entirety of the woods, with quivering down notes and eerie high ones, and to the untrained ear, it nearly sounds like true fairy music.
Sakura diverges from the rutted path, turning right then left; her cloak sways with her movements, its frayed ends dancing around her protectively. She can feel the dirt packing between her toes as each step sinks the soles of her feet into the earth, and while jagged roots bite into her skin, it's nothing she isn’t used to. And the deeper into the woods she goes, the more she feels like she’s being watched. Her cloak brushes against bodies that may or may not be there, shadows morph and wings flutter.
She can taste the mischief in the air.
Carefully adjusting her basket and lantern so they dangle from the crooks of her elbows, and with her grip on the flute tight, Sakura allows her free hand to float at her side as she walks. She caresses the outreaching brambles and low-hanging leaves in hopes that her touch will appease the woods’ growing apprehension of her, stopping only when the rocks and dirt make way for fairy rings.
Her melody soon lifts into a more tranquil tune as the woodland fae giggle and sing in approval. Their fairy music joins her own, accompanied by the fluttering of wings and the appearance of squirrels; she doesn’t look down as the fairies breach from the chests of their hosts, fully aware of the danger she’s now in.
Because as beautiful as fae folk are, they’re ten times as dangerous.
Carefully, as not to break her song, Sakura sets her basket and lantern down, exposing the blueberries and quartz she brought as offerings, while scanning the void for any signs of life. A crow watches her, its head jerking curiously as it observes her. Decayed leaves crumble beneath heavy paws. A thousand eyes weigh her down while a million whispers ghost her skin.
She plays on, ignoring the playful tugs to her rose tresses and to the scarlet threads of her cloak, and she doesn’t stop even as magic scents the air. It compresses, fluttering around her with moonlit glitter, kissing her knuckles as she plays. Splashes of watercolor and silk constellate her vision, making her nose twitch and her belly drop, but she refuses to fall to the fairies’ mischief.
It’s only when the flame from her lantern abruptly dies away that she ends her song. Her breath shakes but she doesn’t show her nerves; Sakura stands tall with her chin tilted high and her shoulders straight.
Because the woods has accepted her offering.
“I call upon the gift of air,” She begins, bringing her hands to float at her sides again. A trickle of air intertwines with her fingers. “Gusty winds and breezes fair.”
Sakura smiles to herself a little more confidently as the tails of her hair tickles at her nose, kicked up with the breath of wind that drew by. The leaves shudder overhead, scattering decayed slivers of orange and red amongst the void. She closes her eyes, and says loudly, “Carry this witch’s greeting across distant lands—take flight! A hearty welcome for a familiar, I invite.”
A crow squawks and a wolf howls; the wind picks up, making her cloak lash out with a ferality that comes with an angry fae but Sakura is not deterred.
She furrows her brows and huffs defiantly, brushing aside the amused songs of the surrounding fairies as she continues, “Fae of the forest, hear my plea. Come forth and seek me, and equals we will be. Not master to servant, but familiar to familiar. To protect and honor, always and forever.”
The woods are alive with the presence of fae folk. Gold eyes appear from across the void while fairies creep from the bodies of their birds and the bark of trees. But no one approaches. And in the blink of an eye, the woods becomes just that—woods. Just knobbed trunks and crickets.
The fae are gone. The wolves disappear. The crows are silent.
But Sakura waits. She waits and waits and waits until she can’t anymore and it infuriates her because she knows the spell was correct. The fae acknowledged it. They heard it, responded to it. So then why—
“To protect and honor, always and forever, huh?”
Sakura stiffens, startled at the sudden voice around her and tries to whirl around only to find herself frozen. Hands settle on her shoulders for a moment before one slowly drifts down her arms with a feathery lightness that evokes chills in their wake. It travels to her wrist, encircling it, keeping her just out of reach of the dagger at her hip while the other hand ghosts along the curve of her neck.
She tries to ignore the breath on the back of her neck and the overwhelming scent of caramel and Hellfire that envelops her. “To protect and honor,” She reiterates, calm despite the fear winding down her spine. “Always and forever.”
Whoever—or rather, whatever—is behind her hums. “Forever is a long time, Witch.”
Sakura swallows the lump building in her throat. "I'll have you for however long you'll have me."
His responding laugh and the way he drags his fingertips down to her wrists raises a garden of goosebumps along her arms, and it's not completely pleasant. He opens a hand, palm up just below her own while the other lifts a strand of hair. "Your name?"
Sakura smiles to herself, shoving aside the uneasy shiver that threatens to crawl down her spine. She knows their tricks. She can hear the mishief in his voice. To give her name is to welcome trouble, because who knows what the Fae will do with it?
And the way his hand hovers, waiting like the hand of an expectant child, he's not asking out of formality.
"You can't have my name," Sakura says. "But you may call me Sakura.
The Fae's chuckle is a warm one full of summer evenings and pine trees, thunderstorms and something dangerous. "Oh I like you," He laughs, brushing the pads of his fingers against her knuckles. "Then you may call me—"
He's interrupted by a loud snarl and the beating of approaching footsteps, but neither are human. Quickly, Sakura frees the dagger against her hip just as a large wolf jumps out at her, jaw unhinged and crimson eyes wild; but as quickly as she sees it, its gone, replaced by the heat of a body against her chest.
The snarl of the Fae enveloping her is otherworldly, feral—demonic—alighting Helfire all throughout her body, but it evokes a sort of comfort that Sakura can't say she's ever felt before.  She blinks, cautiously moving in the grasp of the Fae to chance a glance at him, only to find her view obscured by a wall of feathers.
Wings.
Entranced by the glossy feathers, Sakura tentatively reaches for them, carefully skirting her fingertips along the jade sheen.  The feathers sway, ruffling slightly at her touch, and piercing, scarlet eyes peek through so she pulls back as if burnt.
The wings lower slightly and the arm around her waist loosens, allowing Sakura a glimpse of fangs embedded into black cloth and blood on dark fur. The wolf's eyes meet hers, narrowing, and then there's a pained grunt as the beast's jaws tighten around the arm in its mouth.
"Sasuke," She hears. "Stop."
The wolf is reluctant, its hackles high and body vibrating with its rage, and it gives one last huff before releasing the Fae. Sakura feels him relax, and the softness of his touch compels her to mimic him.
"What the hell are you doing!?"
Gone is the wolf, replaced by a man—a man with skin like snow and hair like a raven's wings. His eyes are sharp, dark like a reflection of the deepest reaches of an underground cavern and sprinkled with red.  But what makes her breath still in her chest, are the horns that stand out atop his head. They're tall, curving down once before shooting straight up and spiked on the bend, with scales colored an iridescent shade of indigo that makes her think of a slick of oil. And they're adorned with silver bands.
A demon.
Sakura feels her blood turn to ice, not just at the way the demon spat her title, but at the weight of the older one’s stare landing upon her. Fae are dangerous on their own, but Demons are something in a league all their own.
And she had spoken her name to one.
"Are you stupid?” The Demon-Fae called Sasuke hisses. “Entertaining the call of a Witch?”
She can feel the bloodlust radiating from the enraged Demon-Fae and considers running.  She mulls over the incantations in her head—banishing spells, protection spells, binding spells—but ultimately, she finds herself rooted in place, pinned to her Fae’s chest by an arm and feathers.
“Is my baby cousin concerned about me?” He has the gall to tease. “How cute!”
Sakura pushes the feathers aside to look up at her Fae.  His expression is calm, with only the faintest down-turning of his brows hinting towards his irritation.  But his eyes, dark and murky, glow with mirth. He’s handsome, even more so than the Demon-Fae behind her, with strong features and moonlit skin; his hair falls in devious curls that part around his horns.
He has two sets of them—a testament to his age.  One set curves out, then in and up, nowhere near as high as the former’s; while the other set curls down and straight back, their points just barely peeking out from the angle he stands.  The shadows dull their color, unfortunately, but she can glimpse where the moonlight catches on the jewels draped along them.
And when he peers down at her, from beneath enviously long lashes, Sakura has to force herself to breathe.
Sasuke’s growl is predatory, so powerful that Sakura can feel it palpate in her chest. “Quit playing around!  You know that fraternizing with a,” He pauses, glancing in her direction with his nose scrunched in distaste. “Witch is asking for trouble.”
The Demon-Fae straightens, his shoulders stiffening and chin raising, and then wings that gleam with a hint of jade outstretch.  They spread so wide, they eclipse the moon and morph into the darkness between the trees.
“This Witch, Sasuke,” The Demon-Fae begins, and his hands come to rest at the base of Sakura’s neck and around her wrist. “Is under my protection.  For always and forever.”

NotEveryDayisAGoodDay: maybe a scene where Ita is being Daded into a better mental/emotional health? And what do the rumors have to say about Yoru being the Bijuu's dad? And about Ita, He's obvs an OldSoul, just with no memory of his lives before. My brain suggested that he's Somnus. Ardyn wonders into town and is oh shit baby bro. There's Angst and Feels before he leaves again. And Yoru knows that something about Ita called to him but couldn't put his finger on it before Uncle showed up.
I will never say no to the deserved dadding of Itachi but first let me just say that Itachi as Somnus But No Memories is BRILLIANT and let’s pretend that’s a thing now. Ardyn blows into town ever few years and always dotes on Itachi shamelessly.
-It’s not long after Yoru realized that the Uchiha had forgotten themselves and Sarutobi was being Even More Of An Idiot because really, there are no wars (Yoru makes sure of that) so why send a FOUR YEAR OLD onto a combat mission? Seriously? He put laws in place against those via Hashirama (that Danzo discreetly hid and Sarutobi is turning a blind eye too for the moment).
-Yoru sweeps in and claims Itachi as a Retainer in a heartbeat after hearing about this, just- shows up in the Uchiha compound in his Formal Getup with his Retinue flanking him and is like “I am here for my newest Retainer” and like- what are the Uchiha gonna do? Say NO??? Yoru is still highly esteemed in many circles even if Sarutobi and Danzo are being Idiots about him and on one hand no one in the Uchiha wants to tick off Yoru and on the other PRESTIGE. Yoru has claimed no Retainer since finding his Aburame and that was generations ago. So Fugaku stiffly summons Itachi and Mikoto stoically packs her son’s bags despite her pregnant belly and tries not to show her heartbreak at giving away her eldest to the unpredictable and ancient forest spirit that has long watched over their village. Mikoto pets Itachi’s hair and whispers to him to be good while Fugaku stiffly orders his son to make the Uchiha proud.
-Yoru watches them give up their child without fighting, without crying, without even hugging, and feels rage bubble under his skin that he will not show.
-Itachi is four and small and traumatized when Yoru takes him back to the shrine. Ignis fusses and Gladio moves the boy’s things into the room he’ll be living in now and Prompto entertains Itachi with his butterflies and for a while everything is fine.
-A few days later the shock factor wears off and it is no longer fine.
-Yoru unhesitatingly picks Itachi up during his silent sobbing fit, having woken up after sensing Itachi’s chakra fluctuate with homesickness-nightmares-sadness-loneliness, curling the boy against his shoulder and walking back and forth through the gardens until the stunned Itachi drifts back to sleep.
-Having a child in the shrine is a welcome return in some ways. Yoru’s and Tsuki’s children are all grown and moved out at this point, some to other parts of the village, some to places beyond in the ninja world. They all take turns making Itachi feel at home, comforting his nightmares, and when he confesses what happened on the mission (killing a man and still dreaming of the blood on the kunai), how it made him feel and how he HATES it, Yoru tells Itachi that while he will learn to fight, he will never be forced to fight anyone. He will never have to be a ninja, never have to go to war unless he chooses to. Yoru will make sure of that.
-Itachi clings to Yoru after that, becomes his little shadow even more than Tsuki’s or Ignis’s. Tsuki teaches him healing, Yoru gives him (adopts him with) magic so he can always feel at home with them.
-Six months in and a little boy named Shisui bumbles in, saying he’s here to check on his cousin. Yoru smiles when Itachi shyly emerges from behind Yoru’s yukata to say hi and is bedazzled by Shisui’s smile. The two are attached at the hip after that unless Gladio deigns playfight with Shisui (which he always does) because Shisui LIKES Gladio and thinks he’s cool.
-About a year later Gladio finally gets impatient with the Uchiha, bangs on the door to Fugaku’s house at like- six in the morning and when Mikoto opens it stiffly (what else will Yoru take from them what else can he but her newborn child please nO) and Gladio gruffly says “Just because you don’t have to feed him anymore doesn’t mean you aren’t still his mother. Make time in your day to visit.”
-And for a moment Mikoto is so furious her Uchiha mask slips and she snaps that Yoru was the one who TOOK HER SON AWAY from her, how was she supposed to know they would permit visits? Gladio just flashes a bit of fang and retorts that she didn’t even protest the removal and didn’t even hug her son goodbye, how were they supposed to know she was BOTHERED by it?
-Mikoto is more than a little insulted but also baffled.
-Mikoto and Fugaku visit regularly after that, albeit with supervision after Fugaku forgets himself and goes on a “You Must Live Up To Being An Uchiha” rant that nearly reduces Itachi to tears later.
-Fugaku is sorry about that after Ignis calmly sits the two down and serenely informs them about all the ways that kind of mentality and behavior can Mess Up A Child.
-They are very understanding and don’t interrupt.
-It has nothing to do with the knives Ignis is expertly sharpening despite his blindness he is sure.
-So anyway yes. Much cuddles and positive reinforcement for Itachi since he was 4, plus LC magic and training in being a medic and he absolutely grows up to be the next Tsunade of his generation (despite being a boy). :D
-To answer your other questions!
-The rumors all insist that Yoru is TOTALLY the dad of the biju, it’s just HOW that varies wildly. Some have him as forming them out of the elements in an expression of his power, others have him being wooed by a demon who shapeshifted into a lovely woman and their affair gave birth to them. There’s a particularly wild one that says YORU is the one who shapeshifter into a woman and seduced a demon and they call Yoru father out of respect even though they should technically call him mother (Prompto just about dies from crying laughter when he hears that one, Gladio is on the floor and Ignis is smirking. Yoru is a Die™). There’s a story among the few who remember the Legend of the Sage of Six Paths (albeit in pieces) that makes him out to be a helper of the Sage and that when the Sage battled the TenTails he was unable to defeat the beast until he sought out and earned the favor of Yoru and his trickster Uncle, who gave the Sage gifts of healing and illusion to finally trick the beast into being defeated and split into the biju.
-There is one particularly fae-like and gentle tale that says that when Yoru was but a young, rash, child spirit himself, his only company were nine toys of different creatures. First a little stuffed kitsune who traveled with him everywhere, then a wooden octo-cow that he set as the guard for his bedside, then on down each biju until he made a little tanuki playmate out of sand and glass. The story then goes that as he grew, he kept the toys and loved them, giving them names and speaking with them as real friends and that in time, when he had reached adulthood, his years and years of love made them magic. But he had since forgotten about them once reaching adulthood, and so the toys became bitter and lonely and took on the forms of living chakra beasts to search for their “father” and that their tails are numbered in order of which one Yoru had first (thus the stuffed fox gained nine tails while the little tanuki of sand and glass only gained one).
-Yoru finds this version oddly charming if sad and Shukaku has more than once loudly grumbled at being compared to a TOY.
-Ardyn’s fav is the one where Yoru is the shapeshifter. Because of course it is. XD

anyone want a Fae AU?
——
“That was close,” Obito mutters. He crouches and sits slowly down against the tree trunk, careful not to jostle his hands.
He cracks his fingers open, to take a peek at the pretty, glowing moth he rescued. But—
“You’re—you’re not a moth,” Obito says dumbly. He watches, rapt, as the glow fades, revealing a little creature in his hands. It looks like a tiny person, dressed in black, with brilliant Lunar Moth’s wings, in white.
The creature shakes out its wet grey hair, and stares up at Obito. It makes a twinkling sound, like little bells. Well, if little bells could sound disgruntled, too.
Obito opens and closes his mouth a few times in disbelief. “Are you... are you a fairy?” he asks, hushed as the rain falls around them.
The fairy rolls their eyes but nods.
“Wow,” he breathes. Grandpa Madara’s raving stories about fairies and forest spirits weren’t made up! Wait ‘til Shisui hears about this!
Now Obito kind of wished he paid attention to any of those stories, so he would know what to do now. He could probably wing it, though.
“Oh yeah, I gotta introduce myself.” Manners are important to fairies, right? “My name’s Obito! Uchiha Obito, future mayor of Konoha and the coolest kid in school!” He might be exaggerating the ‘coolest’ part, but the fairy doesn’t need to know that.
The fairy tilts their head at him in what looks like curiosity, before making a jingling noise. It almost sounds like ‘Obito,’ when he strains to listen.
“Yeah, that’s me!” Obito confirms, excited, barely stopping himself from bouncing up and down so as to not jostle the fairy. He peers forward, bringing up his cupped hands. “What’s your name?”
The fairy pauses for a long, wary moment, until it makes three chiming noises, the first two the same staccato and the third a slightly higher pitched ring.
“Da-da-di?” Obito tries, attempting to translate the bells to human speech.
The fairy chimes it again, even more slowly.
“Ta-ta-ti?”
The fairy crosses their arms and huffs.
“Aw, come on, how am I supposed to say bell noises?” Obito complains, pouting. “Can I call you, hmm,” he screws up his face to think of a name that would suit a fairy moth, “Toboshi? That’s kind of close, right?”
The fairy huffs again but shrugs. Obito will take it as a yes.

“Obito, you cannot be serious right now.” Rin sighs exasperated. “If this is the sign you're turning into Dr. Uchiha, tell me now so I can go get Shisui to do a refresher on ‘Normal Human Interaction 101’.”
Obito whips his head around from where he was stealthily peeking around the edge of the Uzumaki Special Collection Library, “Rin, there is absolutely something weird about Bakashi! Who else is that young and -and - aloof at University? This is the most prestigious University in the Elemental Nations and he’s walking around like he’s the greatest thing here!” He pauses and continues, “Also, Unce Kagami made that PowerPoint presentation you know.”
Rin boggles, but ignores that tidbit of information. “Kakashi is Dr. Benzaiten’s stepson. He’s a genius, and has probably spent enough time on campus to be comfortable. And even if he’s a little odd, well, he’s traveled all over and then some besides, he’s probably an amalgamation of different cultural norms.” She checks the time on her phone, “Look, I need to head to class. Dr. Senju and Dr. Kato are really strict about attendance at practicals; I’ll catch up with you later. Don’t get arrested, Chief Uchiha will flambe you alive and then Dean Senju will completely erase your existence from the space-time continuum.”
At the mention of his guardians, Obito has to pause to consider Rin’s point. Uncle Madara and Uncle Tobirama were both excellent parental figures, if easily distractible, but they often disapproved of any Uncle Kagami-esque shenanigans. Supposedly there was an International Incident involved, at least once, but Obito didn’t believe the University would give a PhD and then hire someone who caused such rampant mayhem even if the mayhem was in the name of Experimental and Theoretical Magic. It didn't matter, there was definitely something weird about Bakashi. And Obito was going to prove it!
Maybe. He’s got about an hour until his class with Professor Namikaze, and that’s his favorite class. He doesn’t want to be late. He goes back to nonchalantly trailing after Bakashi, who seems to be looking at nothing and eating through his mask. Which, why does he even have a mask that only covers the lower half of his face? The excuse of, “Protecting your mucus membranes from the elements is essential to proper health,” seems like a blatant lie, but Obito doesn’t know or want to know about what goes on in niche fitness nut circles to call Bakashi on it. And that asshole tries to tell Obito his (true! Verifiably true!) explanations for his tardiness are bullshit. Obito would like to call hypocrisy, thank you very much.
Bakashi is halfway through walking the Forest Quad Loop, after stopping a bajillion times to touch random knots of wood, or pet moss, or crunch leaves, or sniff a rock - at which point Obito had to seriously consider that Bakashi was onto him and just fucking around to mess with him - when a massive white wolf comes crashing through the forest. Obito is about to shriek in horror, because oh Fire God’s Eternal Flame Bakashi is gonna be eaten, when a terrifyingly strong hand clamps over his mouth.
It’s long - too long for anything natural - and scaled. Scaled like a pit viper from Kaze no Kuni. Which, since Obito has checked as part of his law courses, are non-native to any part of Hi no Kuni and illegal to import. There were rumors of Dr. Benzaiten having weird questionably-ethical experiments with human subjects and genetics and magic, but that was into ... regeneration? Can snakes regenerate body parts?  Or is this an escaped prisoner with a weird magic trying to take revenge on Kakashi because Colonel Hatake is part of the Rangers of the Hi no Kuni military and killed someone important to this person? The Army Rangers do do a lot of high profile and clandestine stuff, it’s not outside the realm of possibility....
“What are you doing following the Princeling, mortal?” Princeling? Who? Bakashi? Maybe he is part of a LARP group? Well, he seems the type.
“I didn't realize people LARP’d on weekdays. You know what, I like this answer. This explains everything.” Obito lifts up and ducks under the arm, then shakes the man’s (possibly, the special effects makeup is some of the best Obito’s ever seen) hand vigorously. “Good day sir. I need to get to class.” The man seems astounded, like he's just experienced something impossible. Maybe he thinks Obito is part of the LARP?
Obito thinks everything is going just fine as he heads back towards campus when the LARPer dashes faster than his eyes can track into his way, this time brandishing a knife that outright bristles with barely leashed offensive magic. Something that is powered by the ... power of blood, to drain whomever it cuts of their life and/or bind that person to the wielder's will, if Obito is reading the runes right. “Do you have a permit for that?” It slips out his mouth faster than Obito can think about it.
“What?” Maybe he didn’t hear him clearly?
“That knife. Do you have a permit to carry a magical weapon with a black magic enchantment? Because it’s a felony if you don’t. Unless it’s for ritualistic or religious purposes and therefore covered by religious exemption, in which case you still need a permit, but it’s stamped specially and registered with the government.” There is an objective downside to living with a cop, and it is this: you learn bits and pieces of law that have no real use outside of a government office. Obito didn’t need to know the precise breakdown of the law regarding enchanted weapons or items with aggressive intent before he started studying pre-law.
There’s no light of dawning understanding with this fellow, and Obito suddenly has the sinking suspicion this might not be a LARP when he starts gathering magic like its cotton-wool. People with that level of magic know better than to throw it around in broad daylight without protective barriers up, and as far as Obito can tell there is no protective barrier to stop the blast from affecting any unwitting bystander. Gods all dammit, why does Obito always run into the psychos?
Luckily, there’s no law against carrying an pre-prepared protective barrier, concealed or otherwise. At least there’s a bright side, he’ll be able to tell Prof Kushina if it worked or not. It takes three reflexive handsigns to activate, but it ripples out in a wash of violet beautifully. Just in time, as the scaled man lets loose, and Obito means that quite literally. He’s never seen such a large Air and Earth combo before, slashing winds and jutting earth spikes rising and falling and rising in chaos. He’s buffeted about, but otherwise unharmed.
He’s bracing for the next wave when a voice rings out across the path. “What’s going on?” He glances sideways to find Bakashi and the massive wolf watching.
“Bakashi! Get out of here! This dude’s gone crazy; I don’t know how long this barrier will last.” Dr. Benzaiten would be out for blood if his stepson was even the slightest bit injured, which meant Uncle Tobirama would be displeased, and Uncle Kagami and Uncle Madara and Dr. Sarutobi and Dr. Senju and Dr. Ogata would be mad, and then Professor Namikaze would do his squinty-eyed smile that screamed “justifiable homicide” and then Prof Kushina would be pissed because her boyfriend was in prison which would make Aunt Mito displeased and Uncle Hashirama would end up taking it out on foreign policy decisions leading the whole world into war. Really, it’s in everyone’s best interest Bakashi get away now. At least if it’s only him, then everyone will think there was some sort of accident and there’d be no war, right?
He’s met by a blank and dispassionate stare. The wolf even gives him the same look, and Obito is officially done with everyone giving him that look, okay? Animals shouldn’t even be able to give that look! Where was the justice?! “Uroko, what are you doing to Obito?”
The scaled-man, Uroko, bows deeply, “My apologies, Princeling. This mortal here was covertly following you and I wanted to be sure of his intent. The Lady would be most displeased with me if her grandson was injured on my watch.”
There’s a lot to unpack there, and Obito’s mind leaps from idea to idea faster than he can rightfully track. Kakashi’s ... grandmother, this Lady, was powerful enough, or important enough, that she was having people with rare magical ability protect her grandson. And she’s probably a Queen, if Kakashi is a Princeling. Which meant this ... body guard, probably of a foreign country, given his unfamiliarity with the laws of Hi no Kuni - Tetsu no Kuni, probably, they’re the only place with a monarch and such pale coloration - his only job is to protect Kakashi from threats. Like a stalker. Which, what Obito had been doing was legally stalking. Oh Fire God’s flaming balls, Uncle Madara is going to kill him, then Uncle Tobirama is going to erase his existence for causing an International Incident. Is it too late to beg for mercy? It’s not too late to beg for mercy.
He opens his mouth to apologize, but what comes out instead is, “You’re related to a Queen?!”
Uroko puffs up, proud, “The Young Princeling is the direct grandson of the Fair Lady of the Wild Hunt, Queen Sayaka of the Seelie Court.”
Obito had been following along into that last one. Seelie were only legends, Fae who were supposedly kinder than their Unseelie relatives, or the High Fae who were the cruelest of the lot. There was no way Bakashi would be - except Bakashi is facepalming as if Obito has just been some inconvenient truth, and so is the wolf, which really is much bigger than it actively ought to get in the wild but would be explained by the fact it’s Fae, and - “The mask is to hide something unnatural, isn’t it?”
Bakashi pulls down his mask, revealing a face that is clearly non-human in beauty, then bares a wolfish grin at Obito. And he means that quite literally - that smile is full of wolf teeth. Obito eyes them speculatively, “How do you even make words?” He had no idea Bakashi has a mole by his mouth - does Bakashi even know he usually gets rice grains stuck in the same spot? Or is that coincidence?
Bakashi corrects his mask, scowling. “That’s what you take away from that?”
Obito shrugs, “It’s either that or fleeing screaming into the pond.”
Uroko interjects, “The pond is full of kelpies and kappa.”
Right. Murderous water horses and turtles. Fire God’s balls. “I will not be fleeing into the pond, then. I’ll flee to Uncle Kagami’s office.”
Bakashi raises a skeptical eyebrow, “Can you even make it back down the trod without getting lost?”
His mother had raised him on the old stories, and Uncle Madara had a knack for retelling them in new and interesting ways, so Obito knows what a trod is, and where it leads. And there’s no way he’s anywhere near a trod. “This is the forest bit of Forest Quad. I’m following the loop, there should be no trod anywhere near the loop.”
“Did you not wonder why no one came to investigate the massive amount of magic just now? That amount of magic is usually a sign of impending disaster.” If Bakashi gets any more sassier Obito is going to punch him in the face, bodyguard or no.
“Fire God’s flaming balls.” Obito has managed to follow Bakashi down a hidden path through the Veil Between Worlds into the realms of the Fae. Which would be impressive, but only if he can get back to the human realm without going insane, getting back to about the same time as he left, and avoid being preyed upon by a more Powerful Fae. “Uncle Madara is going to kill me.” If Uncle Madara is even still alive when he gets back; he’s probably just jinxed it and now Uncle Madara is going to live forever. Oh, Twelve Hells.
Bakashi checks his watch, “Look, we’re going to be late for Professor Namikaze’s class at this rate. Let’s go.” He starts walking confidently down the path, in a completely tangential direction to where they came from, were going, or should be headed to return to campus.
Obito checks his own watch and yelps because they really are going to be late at this rate. He speeds after Bakashi, but can’t hold back a grin. Rin is never going to believe this.

Holy shit i absolutely loved it! Fae and demons and Sakura and Shisui and Itachi are the perfect recipe for something amazing. I cannot express how fantastic this was! Pleeeaaasseseeee continue this!!!
Red Moon
They sped through the trees, muted blurs against the encroaching shadows as night began to fall. Already, Sakura felt uneasy. There was an undeniable pull in the air, thick and heady. A siren’s call of mischief and mayhem. Red moon.
Demons would be out in full tonight.
And as her luck would have it, she found herself hunting one of their very own.
She signaled to the rest of the hunting party to veer right.
Sakura…”
“I know.”
They stopped at the unmarked border where a flurry of wild magic mixed and mingled. An electric dance all at once playful and dangerous. It caressed her skin like a lover, tickled her lips and sparked on her tongue. It was not forbidden to cross territories but if one did of his own free will, well…everything became fair play. No court would vouch or come to the rescue should something go astray.
She crouched, sweeping leather clad hands over dead earth the shape of footprints. What was once green was now devoid of life. Leaves turned to brown ash in her palm as she grimaced beneath her large hood.
“He grows stronger with every step and now that he’s crossed…the darkness will have its way with him.”
She straightened at Neji’s somber words. “Take the others and head back. It’s a red moon. I won’t risk any lives tonight.”
Sakura was one of the best hunters he knew and if any fae could navigate demon territory, it would be her. She just so happened to be the most stubborn too.
“Be careful, Sakura. I refuse to suffer Naruto’s wailing any more than I have to.”
Her laugh was soft, instantly soothing. “He’ll be occupied for the next few days, I hear. Something about wooing your pretty cousin,” she teased, catching his pained sigh.
“Don’t remind me,” he said. “Return safe and sound.”
Sakura nodded, green eyes bright in the rising twilight.
One. Two. Three steps and she took off after her prey.
“Did you feel that?”
“Hnn…”
“We’ve got a visitor.”
And they were not alone. Shisui took a moment to savor the giddy rush as their lands seemed to burst with life and anticipation. It didn’t take long for either to come to the same conclusion. Hunters.
Dark eyes flashed with excitement. “And here I thought we’d only be stuck with our own tonight.”
“Keep yourself in check, Shisui.”
He ruffled his younger cousin’s hair as he sped by, grinning. “Don’t pretend you’re not as excited, Itachi. Now come along, we should give our guests a proper welcome.”
It wasn’t often the Fae crossed into demon territory, but when they did, it did not go unnoticed. Their visits were few and far between and tended to be diplomatic in nature. So it went without saying that this was a most unusual occurrence. Most knew to keep away from their territories during red moon nights. Dark beings liked things that glittered and shined and the Fae, well, they were the brightest of all. The red moon only enhanced the allure, drove those with little control mad with want and the insatiable urge to bite and taste and feed.
As his cousin so dutifully pointed out, to say he wasn’t intrigued would be a lie. Hunters were an entirely different story and a part of him itched to see one in action. They were merciless, swift in their hunts and even swifter with their kills. For a kind who were known for their fun and games, they were surprisingly ruthless. With a huff, he quickly fell into step at Shisui’s side.
Sakura couldn’t shake the sense of dread in the pit of her stomach. She had precious little time before everything saw the color red and she’d be fighting more than just her target. A glance above only made her quicken her pace and—
The clash of steel against steel rent the air.
Jumping back, Sakura didn’t have time to assess how far he’d fallen into darkness for he was already escaping; a disgusting, wraith-like creature no longer recognizable as fae. She fell into pursuit until they burst into an open clearing just as the moon bled a darker shade of red. Her every sense was heightened as she skidded to a stop.
“Surrender and I’ll make your death quick.”
A sinister grin crept across his almost face and he tsked, long tongue darting out to lick too thin lips. “You inssssult me, Hunter.”
So they were going to do this the hard way, then. Sparks flew when their weapons collided. Curved daggers crossed over her chest took the brunt of his attack before her kick landed square in his gut. She flipped over and the next moments were a volley of parries and strikes too quick to count. She sidestepped and slashed him across the ribs, spun and sliced clean down his back. Black blood poured from the deep gashes, splattered across her cloak.
He rushed and she met him head on, her twin daggers sliding across his blade in a long, beautiful steel kiss until she was close enough to spin around him and ram an elbow into his lower back. She jumped away when he twisted but instead of a downward swing of his sword, he grabbed hold of her ankle and suddenly the world was spinning and she crashed into the ground, her daggers flying from her hands. He was on her in an instant, but she was faster. Wrapping her legs around his neck, Sakura flipped him over and crushed him into the ground, using his body as a springboard to jump away.
He didn’t stay down though and emerged from the cloud of earth and rubble almost too quick for her eyes to pick up. His knee connected with her stomach and the air forced its way from her lungs. Bending backwards, she narrowly dodged a roundhouse kick and then another. With one powerful uppercut to his jaw, she sent him careening into the air and not a second later she was above him, landing a heavy downward blow to his middle that nearly tore him in half. Sakura used him to soften her crash back into the clearing and prepared to end him. However, his deafening scream and the wave of tainted power struck her hard and fast and she was sent hurtling towards the trees. Dragging her hand through the ruined earth to slow the impact, she spit out the blood and straightened from her crouch.
Well, wasn’t he just full of surprises? The darkness must’ve been festering inside him for far longer than they’d believed. She cursed when black magic seeped into his body, stolen from the land around them and morphed his body into something other. Something unnatural and wrong.
Unclasping the hook of her cloak, she let it flutter to the ground as long pink hair cascaded around her shoulders from her high ponytail. Sakura reached behind her and gripped Katsuya, her fae war axe. Twirling the finely crafted, double headed weapon in her hand, she swung it up and over, reveling in the melodic whoosh. It seemed they were definitely going to do this the hard way.
Consumed by black magic, he cried for her death and came for her in a rush of madness. Claws swiped down from behind her, but she rolled out of the way and back to her feet in one smooth motion. She swung her axe in an outward arc, catching him across the chest. Close, but not close enough. She watched the wound close and knew she needed to finish this soon for every second wasted he would only grow stronger.
She shifted her stance and shot forward like an arrow, going on the offensive. She wielded Katsuya with practiced ease, every blow and swing swifter and truer than the last. Sakura was unrelenting. She cut through black magic, through claws and tore apart dying flesh. His blood sizzled across her elven armor as she flipped over him and dragged the razor sharp edge up and over his face, destroying his gleaming left eye.
He shrieked and it echoed throughout the clearing, empty and hollow. From his body, sharp blades of dark magic twisted and shot forth. Sakura countered with a powerful swing that dug up earth and wind and damn…she coughed blood when black magic penetrated her armor and tore through her left shoulder. But she didn’t let that stop her. With a sudden ferocity too wild to tame, she swung and released her axe in a deadly spin. Using her speed, she flew straight towards him, leapt into the air and hooked her legs around his shoulders just in time to catch Katsuya and slide her clean across his throat.
His body crumpled beneath her and she came away with his head in one hand and a thrumming war axe in the other. As tendrils of white magic swirled around her, she whispered the ancient rites of the old world and what was once fae slowly faded to ash. She took a deep, shuddering breath, the aftermath of the hunt still racing through her blood.
But there was no time to rest or linger. The moon was at its peak and drowned in the deepest scarlet.
Securing Katsuya to her back, Sakura summoned her curved daggers and slipped them into their leather sheaths hidden under the elegant war axe. Taking off at a run, she snatched up her cloak just as a tremor vibrated beneath her feet. The dread from earlier returned and pooled something fierce in the pit of her stomach.
The ground suddenly exploded and all she saw were fangs and smooth black scales as she leapt back to avoid being crushed or probably eaten in this case. When the dust cleared, she stood facing a giant two headed snake.
“Faaaeee…” it hissed in a lazy, hypnotic way that certainly didn’t bode well. Sakura cursed her luck for the second time that night. She could feel other demons on the fringes, no doubt drawn by the commotion and the mix of magic. This was going to be a bloody free for all.
The throbbing pain in her shoulder reminded her of her injury, but she currently had bigger problems at the moment.
It struck and she jumped up to avoid its massive fangs only to whip out her curved daggers and swipe at the second head that came from the other direction. She flipped back and on her descent, slammed the hilts of her blades together, twisted, and brandished a double-edged spear. She raced forward, using her weapon to catapult her in an arc. Both heads attacked, fast and efficient, its body slithering right to left as it tried to snap her up. A sharp tip grazed her thigh and it felt like fire against her skin. Sakura pivoted and slashed, almost got impaled by another terrible fang, and spinning in the air, pierced her weapon in the underside of its bottom jaw and cut clean down with stunning white magic.  In a rainfall of blood, she scaled the side of the falling snake head and severed its twin in a beautiful flourish of iridescent steel.
Hitting the ground, Sakura saw the shadows move from the forests all at once, some going to feast on the flailing reptile and others eyeing her as their next meal. After all, fae was a delicacy around these parts. She unlocked the hilts of her spear and flicked the dripping blood from their sharp edges.
The red moon enhanced the blood lust of demons and those who could not control it fell victim to its clutches. Her magic was like a beacon to them, an alluring siren call they could not resist. She’d be lucky to come out of this in one piece. As if a drop of water had fallen into a still pond, she only had a moment to brace herself before all hell broke loose.
They came for her from all sides and she slashed through them in a graceful, mesmerizing dance. Splatters of red and black painted the scene as she cut them down. Spinning her body, she slashed through flesh and bone, crushed faces with powerful punches and aerial kicks that sent bodies flying. Ducking low, she swept their legs out from under them and drove her blades into their hearts with devastating efficiency.
But a sudden murmur had pierced through the mayhem. Something even darker was here. She could feel it, see it in their shifting, pitch-black eyes. They hesitated as she slowly rose, demon blood dripping from her armor and curved daggers. They looked at her, then beyond, and she knew they were trying to decide if she was still worth it. Sakura chanced a look to her left just in time to see black flames turn demons to ash, to see bodies torn limb from limb in less than a heartbeat.
A pulse of magic more ancient and far more frightening rumbled through the clearing and that was enough to send them scrambling back to the shadows.
She reached for the comforting, engraved handle of Katsuya, readying herself for the worse…
“Sakura…”
Her green eyes immediately hardened, knowing full well what kind of demons lurked here and the tricks they liked to play.
“It’s been a while, sweetheart.”
She knew that voice. But…
“Looks like she still wants to rip your heart out and eat it, cousin.”
“Gladly.”
Perhaps she should’ve anticipated running into these two, but she’d honestly didn’t think the Hunt would end up this messy. With this being a red moon night, they were probably out patrolling and had felt the ripple when she’d crossed over the border. She relaxed, relieved she wouldn’t have to fight her way out of this one.
“It’s only been a few decades,” she remarked.
“But it’s felt like centuries!”
She snorted at Shisui’s dramatics as she sheathed her daggers. A grimace crossed her face when her shoulder burned in pain.
“You’re hurt.” Itachi reached out to brush soft strands of petal pink. When had she become so devastating?
“I’m fine,” she assured, offering a weak smile. “Is there running water nearby?”
Itachi nodded, sharing a worried glance with Shisui.
“I need to get there…now…”
It wasn’t long after when they arrived at the river. Sakura immediately began to remove her upper armor that fit like a second skin, undoing the leather buckles and bindings, releasing her arm guards and tearing off the left sleeve of her undershirt. From the weeping wound, dark veins of black magic had spread. It was an ugly thing, its spindly invasion already engulfing her shoulder, traveling down her arm.
Kneeling at the river’s edge, she summoned the water forward and let it cleanse her wound, clenching her jaw when it burned something fierce. With whispers in the old language, Sakura spun a healing spell with potent white magic that charged the air around them. Black leached from the gaping hole in her shoulder, fell in rivulets down her arm before it began to run pure red.
Despite their desire to help, Itachi and Shisui remained quiet and vigilant, knowing well enough not to interrupt when Sakura was healing. It was when she nearly keeled over that Itachi caught her in his arms.
“Thanks,” she murmured, resting her head on his shoulder. “Have I told you how much I hate red moons?
“Many times and yet you keep coming back.”
She laughed and then winced. “Don’t make me laugh.”
“You need rest.”
“I need to get…back…”
“Not tonight.” But his words went unheard. She’d already fallen into a healing slumber.
Shisui shook his head before grabbing her discarded armor and weapons, admiring the Fae craftmanship. Watching her wield these had been a sight to behold and not for the first time that night did both he and Itachi wonder how much she’d grown.
A/N:  Fae!Sakura has been been bothering me for a while so figured I’d give it a shot. Demon!Uchihas, I think, are a weakness of mine…well, anything supernatural and fantasy really. I’ll probably continue this at some point…maybe…

Shisui made a "tch" sound when his companion said to Deidara part of the secret about how she got trapped.
"Thanks a lot Kakuzu, now she will never again make eye contact with me" Shisui grinned amusedly. "Then welcome to the cult girlie. "
The truth is that they are no cult but a twisted criminal organization operating from the Amegakure no Sato, and that is where Shisui is taking her. She will bend her knee before Pain. As he did as all his companions did.
While they were walking Shisui in front with Deidara, and the other two behind Shisui asked.
"Why are you pretending to be a male?" One thing never changed even when his whole life did. Curiosity. That part of his personality never left. Yet there was this look in his eye, that would make you wonder just how many people he killed, and that grin would make one realize he's probably lost count.
"You may pass as male now while you are flat. What happens at age eighteen or twenty when --" he made a gesture against his chest portraying tits. Honestly, Shisui saw no point in hiding gender. In all his years and travels as a ninja asn now as an S-rate criminal, he saw so many talented and strong female ninjas. Konan is one of them. Uchiha Izumi was too.
They arrived rain greeted them. They were home. Amegakure. Shisui let out a deep sigh, closing his eyes and lifting fae to the sky while rain washed it. It washes away all, pain, and tears it washes everything. Water does not resist. Water flows. Water is not a solid wall, it will not stop you. But water always goes where it wants to go, and nothing, in the end, can stand against it. And that is what Shisui is he will go where ever he wants, Pain didn't put the collar on him, Pain gave him chance to live again....
In the highest building, he waited for the result. Shisui delivered the result. A thirteen years old girl whose talent surpasses her age. The briefing was short, purple eyes scanning the child.
His calm voice said. "You are responsible for her, train her, feed her, if she obeys reward her if she betrays you hill her if she kills you than she has surpassed her teacher. If she wishes her gender to be secret keep it so before the strangers. I will call you for the orders you are free t go."
How he could know that? What does she wish?
Shisui led her back to the building where he was and the rest of the men. He showed her the room where she will live from now on. "Your cult cloak is here girlie" Shisu added. "On the end of the corridor is the kitchen come if you are hungry. Lunch will be ready in an hour"
shisui-uchiha-anon:
Shisui understood now why Pain was after her. Her so called art is explosion that as it looked ddn’t depended on the size. Imagine a small spider on enemies cloack. Dead in its tracks.
Shisui didn’t miss it. she got annoyed by the comment “brat” Yet there was no point in prolonging this. She was already caught in his visual prowess. What she thought was the enemy was actually an east wall of the building. That explosion shook the very foundations of the earth. So this could be good for attack or for retreating, for capturing tailed beasts.
Shisui dispelled himself and disappeared as a flock of crows, only to reappear and on purpose get trapped, that centipede wrapped like a snake around him. If someone from the outside would watch they would think that it was all over for the one-eyed man.
Think again. Sharingan is a wicked thing. Once trapped victim cant go out until the caster let it out.  And Shisui’s genjutsu was especially powerful, he was hailed as the greatest user of the clan. Till he decided to kill the clan.
The red-eye blinked and the centipede was wrapped around Deidara it was like a place switch. Shisui grinned at the girl and her confused face. Obviously, she didn’t meet Uchiha before.
“You have two choices girlie, fight me lose and fall here forever, or use your brain and survive. We shall take you to the Pain you can tell him how you hate gods. Decide now” Last word he said losing all amusement in his voice.
Deidara let out a frustrated grunt as the clay spider missed its intended target, instead blasting a hole in the wall while the raven-haired man disappeared into a murder of crows. However, he didn’t expect her centipede, smuggling underneath the floorboards and stepped right onto it. As it burst out to envelop the oblivious man, Deidara was thoroughly ecstatic. That’s what he got for underestimating her art!
“You’re finished, hn!” She broadcasted, lifting two fingers to her face to detonate the explosive. However, before she could think to utter “katsu”, something was…off, wrong.
She hesitated, blinked and upon doing so, the man was no longer snagged in her creation. Instead, she herself was as the centipede hugged her like a suffocating blanket. Deidara gasped at the sudden development and her face bleached at the thought she had been literally one second from turning into a suicide bomber. “When…how!?”
“In the beginning when you looked into Shisui’s Sharingan, you were trapped in his illusions,” The masked man of the bunch spoke up, having stayed mum during it all.
‘Sharingan?’ Deidara had never heard of such a Kekkei Genkai. But now that she did, she hated it. She hated it so much! How could something so inartistic trump her art? ‘No. I refuse to call that art!’ The centipede fell to the floor, leaving Deidara standing there, shaking in red hot anger with hands balled into white-knuckled fists at her embarrassing defeat.
“Fine!” Is all she snarled out and like that, it was all over.
