Some facial practice with "Nika". This was about the time I decided I didn't think the name fit her but I didn't know what else to call her at the time.

I also decided during this that she didn't need hair. I got through the first row and realized I had forgotten to give her hair so I went back and added it but then decided she looked better without it.

Her outfit is also a major improvement and this has become her main clothing. I haven't decided the reason why she constantly wears her work uniform when she's almost never at work, but it's a drawing and who cares?

Also I feel like this practice base really depicts her personality. While polly is sunshine, Nika is grumpy. I know it's cliche but I think it's really fucking cute okay?

Again, I don't claim to own the drawing base that this practice is from, only the character on top of it.

I get really nervous when it comes to colouring things in and I’m fed up of myself so I present my first ever attempt (I’m not joking, first EVER) of shading/lighting without using multiply or add layers. Just me, the god damn colour wheel and a normal layer. And hiccup.

lttm - long and weasel-like - long eyes - tall ears with normal width - wire-like back pattern - just happy to see her brother

5p - average proportions, slightly short - slanted eyes, small mouth - small ears - livid about this arrangement. coping

nsh - tall, (with a) short tail - pointy ears, defined cheek/head - flat, half-closed eyes - strong upper body - tail ends in sharper taper - trying to take this situation in good stride

srs - flat head, wide(set) eyes. unsure if the middle is functional. it wouldnt make much sense to BUT rule of cool... - stocky - just kind of here

sos - flat tail - high cheekbones - tired, wideset eyes - so unhappy about this. was kind of looking forward to ascencion. - probably got them in this mess

This was the first practice I did of polly in trying to come up with her character. I learned a lot from this practice and reference it often when actually drawing her.

Polly is a TV with a robotic body. She is very very loosely based on vox from hazbin hotel(literally just the walking TV part, that's it). She's in her mid 20's and has the personality of sunshine and rainbows(mostly).

I had a lot of fun with this practice and in creating her character, although I do regret making her naked for the first few times I drew her.

I do not claim to own the character sheet I used for this practice, any facial or pose practices were taken straight from Google. The only thing I own in this image is the TV girl on it.

Meet the Saber-Skins

Helga is the companion of sorts to my Last Dragonborn, Elisere, and a few months ago I went a little ham developing her husband and kids. I've been meaning to draw them and introduce them for awhile now and thought this would be a fun way to do it!

I am incapable of just creating one single OC with no relatives. I always gotta give them a whole family. But this family is thematically important so I've put a lot of thought into them

It's rude to speak in a language not everyone present speaks, however Sybok became immune to social niceties around the time his father stopped bringing him to official functions. He switches to High Vulcan to say, "We can tell her I picked you up off an Orion slave ship."

Uhura's right eye twitches.

"She can understand you," Jimmy says. "She's a xenolinguist."

Bones's eyes narrow. He's so much more indignant in person than in the background of Jimmy's video calls. "What are you going on about now? I hate when you do this. I always feel like you're planning how to dispose of my body."

Jimmy had told him that Bones had started studying Vulcan. He'd also told him that he was incredibly bad at it, but not everyone can be Jimmy, which was realistically probably for the best.

He drops down to standard Vulcan to say, "Ah, so you have a talented tongue," since there's really no way to say that in High Vulcan that's a double entendre. It doesn't help that most of their potentially risque phrases are hand rather than mouth oriented, but he's learned to make do.

Spock turns an unhealthy shade of pale as his eyes widen the tiniest amount in abject horror.

Uhura raises her eyebrow in a way that reminds him of his brother. "To master a language is the study of a lifetime. I would be most appreciative if you were to give me a hand in achieving this endeavor."

Spock's skin flushes and he looks around like he's seriously considering running away from this conversation.

Sybok is delighted.

"Uhurua!" Jimmy shouts, hands on his hips. "Come on! I say that to you and you don't even let me buy you a drink, but you'll just proposition Sybok in the middle of the hallway?"

"She did what?" Bones hisses.

That is one possible interpretation of her words.

"I might have gotten around to propositioning you too," she says, "if you hadn't gotten your ass beat."

"Okay, I think I did okay, actually," Jimmy argues while Bones's face morphs into an expression eerily similar to Spock's.

He loves Earth.
