#Repost @facesofrock1 with @get_repost ・・・ Radiohead - Exit Music (For a Film) (2016 Montreal, Canada.)This was written for the 1996 movie Romeo and Juliet starring Leonardo Di Caprio. While Radiohead were on tour with Alanis Morissette, Baz Luhrmann, who directed the movie, sent them a tape of the last part of the film and asked them to write some music for the closing credits (hence the name "exit music"). The band liked what they saw and came up with this. https://www.instagram.com/p/CDT6cuInrqR/?igshid=15my0byco7l6g

#Repost @facesofrock1 (@get_repost) ・・・ Credence Clearwater Revival performing Green River🙌This song was written by group leader John Fogerty, who explained in his Storytellers special: "Green River is really about this place where I used to go as a kid on Putah Creek, near Winters, California. I went there with my family every year until I was ten. Lot of happy memories there. I learned how to swim there. There was a rope hanging from the tree. Certainly dragonflies, bullfrogs. There was a little cabin we would stay in owned by a descendant of Buffalo Bill Cody. That's the reference in the song to Cody Jr. ["Up at Cody's camp I spent my days..."] The actual specific reference, Green River, I got from a soda pop-syrup label. You used to be able to go into a soda fountain, and they had these bottles of flavored syrup. My flavor was called Green River. It was green, lime flavored, and they would empty some out over some ice and pour some of that soda water on it, and you had yourself a Green River." https://www.instagram.com/p/Bzsr9tzh9l5/?igshid=1rapbcmqpsz9p

#Repost @facesofrock1 with @get_repost ・・・ Beastie Boys -Sabotage (David Letterman 1994) Adam "Ad-rock" Horovitz talks about this song in the liner notes of the Beastie Boys anthology: "'Sabotage' was recorded as an instrumental, and the vocals weren't added until two weeks before the record was completed. It was the last song on Ill Communication to be finished."The classic video, which was directed by Spike Jonze, was a parody of '70s cop shows such as CHiPs and Hawaii Five-0. Adam "MCA" Yauch recalled to Q magazine April 2008 how the video came about: "Adam (Ad-Rock Horovitz) wanted us to do a photo shoot as undercover cops on a stakeout, sitting in a car, surrounded by coffee cups and doughnut wrappers. We mentioned it to Spike and he said, 'Let's do it.'" https://www.instagram.com/p/CDMTtIVHBCJ/?igshid=ymaixfzx3f9n

Stay With Me 😘😘😘 . Credit to from @facesofrock1 (@get_regrann) - Faces - Stay With Me 1972Written by Faces lead singer Rod Stewart and their guitarist Ronald David Wood, best known as future Rolling Stones member Ronnie Wood. The song is a tale of sexual debauchery where Stewart gives a step-by-step account on how to pick up a groupie for a one-night-stand. He makes it very clear that she should be gone in the morning, although he does offer to pay her cab fare home. The song was the first and biggest American hit for the Faces, although Rod Stewart scored his massive solo hit "Maggie May" four months before "Stay With Me" was released in November 1971. In "Maggie," which is based on a true story, Stewart is the object of sexual conquest. Psychologists could have a lot to say about this one! - #regrann https://www.instagram.com/p/B1K0_DcHJer/?igshid=kpt3pinpfbhy
