Liara came into the little exercise room, where Shepard was grimly doing the same set of awkward physiotherapy stretches she'd been doing twice a day every day for the last two years, and said "I thought we could visit Earth next year. For the eclipse."

I wish we could romance Ashley or Miranda or Jack in this version of the game 💀💀💀

Apples and Promises
Summary: Liara mourns Shepard after ME3 until a familiar face turns up.
This was based off of the final picture in this post, posted by @derlaine! Thank you for letting me use it for inspiration!!
Time seems to move differently here. She’s not entirely sure how long she’s been sitting here, beneath this tree, and she’s not entirely sure she cares. The sun is warm as it shines through the leaves, the ground beneath her soft, the wind breezing around her refreshing and carries upon it the faint smell of wild flowers. And for the first time in what seems an endless eternity, Liara finds herself almost at peace. Almost.
With her eyes closed, she can almost feel the hand sitting upon hers, feel the lightly calloused thumb brushing against the back of her hand, tender and soft. She can almost feel the tickle of the hair that blows across her neck. She can almost smell the shampoo that was used the night before, the chemical apple reminding her distinctly of home. Not of Thessia, not of her favorite dig site, not of her apartment on Illium, but of her.
The tears come as they always do, slipping silently down her cheeks. It is difficult to breathe through the lump in her throat, but she forces the air to persist nonetheless. What would she say, if she were to see her sitting here like this, still mourning after a year? Though, admittedly, it is likely just the realization that it had been almost a year to the day that she was struggling so much today. Regardless, it is not difficult to imagine the hands that would brush her tears away, to recall the feel of her plump lips pressed against hers, to see the warm smile that lightens her war-torn face. “I thought you Asari are supposed to be able to move past this kind of thing,” she would tease in a light tone.
Liara choked out a strained laugh at the thought and rubbed her eyes hard. “The first is always the hardest,” she would reply in a trembling voice, probably bordering on incoherent from the strength of her pain, “especially when it was someone as wonderful as you.”
Her strong arms would envelop her, pull her into the warm core where Liara had spent so many nights, and the smell of apples and faintly of sweat and eezo and something so distinctly her that Liara was sure she would never find its likes again. A fresh sob burst forth from her lips at the realization that the smell was not the only thing she would never experience again. Her booming laugh, the proud way she would sling her arm over Liara’s shoulder as they walked side-by-side, the intensity of her piercing amber gaze, all of it was lost to her forever.
Liara clutched her knees to her chest as she wept, no longer too ashamed to let her agony be heard. Somehow, it hurt worse this time. She’d been dead before, truly and properly dead, and Liara thought she had braced herself for the second time around, though she’d prayed to the Goddess that it would be years from now. They would grow older together, and it would be peaceful, a drifting away in Liara’s arms. They might have children together, three blue daughters with brown eyes and broad grins and swaggering gaits that exuded nothing but confidence. It had been difficult for Liara to allow herself to picture this future. She’d forbidden it, forbidden all hope of happiness until the Shadow Broker had been dealt with and Feron rescued. But when her arms had pulled her close, when her lips brushed gently against hers as if she were made of glass and then deepened with the urgency and desperation that had filled both of them since last they were together, Liara had lost all inhibition and allowed herself to believe. She still smelled like apples.
But that future was gone, now. Dashed away. Even if she was still alive by some divine miracle, there would be no way for her to find them. The crew was doing their best, but the Normandy was badly damaged. A year they’d been on this planet, and they were no closer to leaving than they had when they’d crashed. She wanted so desperately to believe that she was out there, that she was fighting to get to them, to her, but Liara is above all things a scientist. There was no Cerberus this time, no wealthy organization who would reanimate her.
“I need to know you’re always coming back,” she’d begged upon the Normandy, after their business with the Shadow Broker had come to an end.
She’d teased, a playful smirk stretched across her beautiful lips. “I dunno. That’s a pretty big promise to make.” Her thumbs rubbed across Liara’s skin lightly.
“Oh, is it?” Liara’d teased back.
She’d stepped closer, placed a tender kiss to Liara’s neck. “I’d have to have something special to come back to,” she’d purred.
“I guess I wasn’t special enough,” Liara sighed bitterly. She leaned her head back and glared up at the sky, fists clenching in the fabric of her dress. Her teeth grit against the pain, but the tears would not cease. After a time, she squeezed her eyes shut and shook her head. “I’d give anything to hear your voice again, my love.” The vids were not enough, neither true enough nor what she wanted to hear. The woman in the vids was hard, kind but unwaveringly tough. The woman Liara knew was more than that, gentle, tender, terrified of failure. There were no vids that captured the way she whispered sweet nothings to her, the way she laughed and even giggled when they were alone or among friends, the teasing lilt that almost always graced her tone.
“Liara.”
She shook her head and let out a bitter laugh. Yes, just like that. Thank the Goddess, I’ve finally lost my mind. That one had almost sounded real, almost enough to convince her to open her eyes. But she daren’t. If this was truly insanity, she’d rather revel in it a few moments longer, hold onto her as long as she could.
“Liara.”
I… No, that… What? Liara froze in place, analyzing this. It did sound real. And closer. And… Goddess, I can’t go through this again. She’d woken how many nights now, alone in her bed only to see a phantom sitting in the chair? “I won’t give you the satisfaction of being just another phantom,” she called. “So, if you would kindly leave, I would greatly appreciate it.”
“Well, if that’s the way you want it…”
Liara’s eyes shot open, and her head snapped up. She was standing before she’d had time to register what was happening.
It was her. She was here. Standing below her on the hill with that same stupid grin, her hands confidently upon her hips, her chestnut hair waving about her face in the wind a little longer and curlier than Liara remembered. But it was her. “Shepard…” she breathed.
Shepard closed the distance up the hill before they stood only a few feet apart. Liara studied her, unable to believe her eyes. There were new scars along what little skin she could see, and there was a different rank sewn on her military-issued jacket, and she was a little skinnier than when she’d last seen her. Shepard reached up slowly, offering her time to step away, but Liara could not move. It was only when her thumb brushed against Liara’s cheek did she realize she was crying, and the soft warmth of her lightly calloused finger seemed to unglue her from her spot. In an instant, she was in Shepard’s arms, clutching at the fabric of her coat, at her hair, her shoulder, anything she could grasp, and her face buried in the woman’s neck. Liara’s entire body was wracked with violent, ugly sobs, but Shepard didn’t care. Her strong arms enveloped Liara as she had longed for so often, hands gently rubbing her back and her head to calm her. “I got you,” she whispered, and Liara could have died from joy.
Their lips found each other’s, and it was not a particularly beautiful kiss. It was filled with a year’s worth of longing, mourning, pining, loss, anger, ecstasy, and joy, and at some point Shepard had begun to cry, too. They broke apart, breathless, each unable to control their hitched breathing, but Liara found Shepard’s hand and clutched it to her chest. “You’re here,” she choked. “You’re really here.”
Shepard let out a shaking breath and tilted her head back to try her hand at a cocky grin, though it came off a little more genuine than Liara was sure she wanted. “Of course. I had something really special to get back to.”
Liara let out an incredulous laugh and pressed her face back into Shepard’s neck. And as she inhaled, she couldn’t help the harsh sob that burst from her, nor the broad grin that stretched as far as it could across her face, because she was home. Shepard still smelled like apples.

Mass Effect Tag
With all the discourse on Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, let's spread some positive vibes by remembering what we love about the trilogy. Fill in and tag your friends. Feel free to add your own categories to this survey.
Thank you @weird-aunt for the tag!! You’re the best and I care about you and your continued support to help me through school will never go unnoticed, it is something I admire about you!!
I tag @becauseanders and also well anyone else.
I am a fan since: I started Dragon Age on NYE 2014, and kind of followed Mass Effect gamers a little before that. They kept recommending it to me but I felt weird about an RPG in space. Eventually I got around to playing the trilogy for the first time in January of 2016.
Favorite game of the series?: Don’t make me chooooooossseeeee...... Mass Effect 3.
There’s a certain emotional rawness that really grips at me, and that really has me relate to the core plot line of the game. I love 2 a lot, but I think overall I love 3 a lot more.
MShep or FShep?: I play both equally. My canon Shepard is MShep, and my AU Shepard is (f)Shep.
Earthborn, Colonist, or Spacer: Earthborn is my favorite because it kinda fits to how I felt growing up. Sure I had “parents” but they weren’t great people. So as I grew up and moved out, I felt on my own a lot because of how they act towards me and about me.
Spacer is a close second. Talking about Shepard’s mom in 3 during the Citadel DLC and asking Hackett about her tugs the heartstrings...
Biotics or Tech: Ok I am torn here. My canon Shepards are always Infiltrators. But even so, I rarely use tech abilities. Mostly in 2/3, but not a lot. I do love Vanguard a lot, but not getting Sniper Rifle training until the collector ship in 2, always bugs me... just give me a sniper rifle and biotics (at the beginning) you cowards!! lmfao
I do prefer Biotics in Andromeda a lot more though.
Paragon or Renegade: Renegade for life bitches!! Except when talking to Cortez and/or the romance option.
Do you have an AU?: Yes! I never ended up writing the long fic for it, but it’s called Powerless. It follows my (extreme) canon divergent AU Shepard, Alessa; and her descent through addiction and PTSD, her relationship with Bailey, her dishonorable discharge, and forgiving the crew member who’s report eventually lead to her discharge. Also her friendship with Garrus and meeting two Turian OCs I have too!!
Favorite Class?: Infiltrator first as my canon, then Vanguard for any other non canon Shepard.
Favorite Companion: CORTEZ. “But Viktor, he’s not a comp-.” CORTEZ IS MY FAVORITE COMPANION. HE IS MY PILOT AND MY BOYFRIEND.
Least Favorite Companion: In terms of personality? Liara. I admire her at times sure and she has some good in her, but I think BioWare did her kinda dirty so as a result I don’t like how she was written.
In terms of squad selection? Anyone who doesn’t have biotics or tech specialties. I use biotics and tech a lot more than just weapons so I usually just go full on into tech and biotic specialist while I handle weapons.
My Squad Selection:
Mass Effect 1 - Garrus, Kaidan
Mass Effect 2 - Zaeed, Garrus | Jack, Garrus | Kasumi, Jack
Mass Effect 3 - Kaidan, Garrus | Javik, Kaidan | Javik, Vega (specifically for Priority London)
Favorite In-game Romance: CORTEZ OR GO HOME. TEAM HAMMERHEAD HUSBANDS!!
Other pairings I like: Shenko, Shakarian, basically all of them ngl (except Shepard/Vega, that’s a nOTP for me).
Favorite NPC: BAAAIIIIIIIILLLLEEEYYYYYY
Favorite Antagonist: Shepard Clone
Favorite Mission: Priority Earth (London), hands down | DLC: Leviathan, but the part where you are flying off world and the romance in the party fusses over you as you wake up.
Favorite Loyalty Mission: Eye for an Eye. Because I don’t care what the fandom says, I will 100000% always let Garrus shoot Sidonis.
Favorite DLC: Leviathan, it gave a REALLY good look into the background of the Reapers.
Control, Synthesis or Destroy: Destroy. All day every day. The only non Destroy endings I got were my first ever run of the Trilogy and I selected Refuse. And my non canon Shepards choose Control. I also have a really heartbreaking gif set of my Kathryn J Shepard x Garrus during a Control ending here
Favorite Weapon: Black Widow, the really expensive one.
Favorite Place: Is it too NSFT to say Bailey’s bed?? Or Cortez’s bed??
A quote(s) I like:
This is where I belong...  - Javik, Priority Earth
Don’t argue, Garrus. - Shepard | We’re in this ‘til the end... - Garrus, Priority Earth
I can still fight, just give me my gun. - James, Priority Earth
Don’t leave me behind... - Kaidan, Priority Earth
Damn it, I can do this! - Ashley, Priority Earth
You’re not leaving me behind... - Liara, Priority Earth
I can’t stay behind. - Tali, Priority Earth
The backup... systems. I can initiate repairs. - EDI, Priority Earth

Mass Effect Tag
With all the discourse on Mass Effect: Legendary Edition, let's spread some positive vibes by remembering what we love about the trilogy. Fill in and tag your friends. Feel free to add your own categories to this survey.
Thank you so much @briarfox13 for tagging me!!!
I am a fan since: I played the first when i think i was in 8th (ish) grade?? But couldnt get over the mechanics and dropped it halfway through eden prime but picked it back up in high school, Didn’t give it much thought though until like 2018ish
Favourite game of the series?: ME2 by a long shot. I just love the whole atmosphere of it all. I love the squad, I loved the missions, I LOVED the soundtrack the most.
MShep or FShep?: Fem!Shep hands down. Jennifer Hale did absolutely phenomenal with voicing Shep, and having a badass chick save the galaxy is 10x hotter than some guy.
Earthborn, Colonist,or Spacer: Spacer without a doubt.
Biotics or Tech: Biotics, bruh. Being able to toss enemies around like a ragdoll is half the fun. Plus the lore around it is actually super interesting
Paragon or renegade: Renegade. Its my only chance to ever be blunt and intimidating, and i will take what i can get... also the scars hhhhh
Favourite Class?: Adept!!! Again, i simp for biotics
Favourite Companion: Grunt, Wrex, or Mordin. I have the biggest soft spot for krogans and salarians
Least favourite Companion: Tbh, Ashley. I know she grows and overcomes all the ignorance and such. But i just couldnt really vibe with her personality, nor the whole straight man sex-ification they did to her in ME3
My Squad Selection:
ME1: Liara and Tali or Liara and Wrex!
ME2: Tali and Grunt or Thane and Tali
ME3: Liara and Tali or Liara and James
Favourite In-game Romance: Liara x F!Shep is my comfort ship, the pairing that just feels like home for me.
Other pairings I like: Tali x Shep / Kaidan x Shep / and Thane x Shep!!!!!
Favourite NPC: *ahem* A r i a
Favourite Antagonist: Tbh the Illusive Man, solely ‘cause i loved being a dick to him and testing his patience
Favourite Mission: The Suicide Mission was honestly so fucking fun, and the track for it?? *chef kiss*
Favourite Loyalty Mission: Grunts! Fighting the Thresher Maw will never fail to frustrate me while simultaneously entertain me
Favourite DLC: Lair of the Shadowbroker!! Helping Liara resolve things from the last 2 years always makes me emotional. Especially for a romanced Liara…….
Control, Synthesis or Destroy: Destroy that motherfucker
Favourite Weapon: the arc pistol!!!
Favourite Place: Afterlife on Omega… actually Omega as a whole
A quote I like: “Well I suppose I did just write your name in the stars.”

Perimeter Check
F!Shep x Kaidan Alenko
Seventeen hours. Seventeen excruciating hours inside the mako, it’s normally roomy interior now a cramped prison from which Kaidan couldn’t escape. Outside, subzero winds howled. Ice grated against the vehicle’s metal exterior so viciously it sounded like a pack of varren trying to claw their way in. Action wasn’t an option. Sleep was no longer an option. Kaidan groaned in frustration, pressed the heel of his palms against his brow, his eyes squeezed shut and jaw clenched. Trapped in his armor, inside the mako, he felt as if he were about to crawl out of his own skin.
“Commander Shepard left to check the perimeter.”
Liara’s voice, regardless of her ethereal tone, shocked Kaidan into a seated position, his arms thrust behind him for support. The asari had joined their crew too recently for her to be familiar, and she was so quiet, so reserved in her actions, Kaidan had nearly forgotten she was with them.
Kaidan shifted his view toward Liara, who sat in the passenger seat. Data pad in hand, she appeared to be completely at ease with their situation. “How long has she been out?”
Liara set her datapad on her lap and turned over her shoulder to return his gaze. “Three hours, seven minutes.”
“Three hours?” He jerked upright. He had been asleep longer than he thought.
Liara nodded. “Galactic standard time.”
Worry flooded his abdomen. Their perimeter was small, only as wide as the stretch of road they dared traverse and three times as long as the mako. Checking the entire area, even four times over and at a leisurely pace, would only have taken the commander an hour.
“I’m going to find her.”
Kaidan leaned forward and grabbed his helmet as he stood, bouncing against the driver’s seat as he slipped through to the back of the vehicle.
“Lieutenant,” her voice gave him pause, "the Commander instructed us to stay inside.”
Kaidan’s hand hovered over the door controls as he looked back. "So stay inside.”
His words cut harsher than intended, the belittling tone of which set her cheeks aflame with shades of lilac before her attention fell back to the datapad. Kaidan felt a twinge of remorse, but pushed it aside. Decisively, he palmed the control and jumped into darkness.
Immediately, his suit began to compensate for the freezing temperatures outside. Wind whipped across his armor and, for a second, he leaned into it until his suit's stabilization righted him. Pistol raised in front of him, lighted scope on, Kaidan scanned the surrounding area. Snow fell so thick the light only served to blind him further in the flurry. At the top right of his visor, a digital readout warned him of the temperature, and the fact that he had only five hours until he would begin to feel the cold despite his armor. Kaidan muttered a curse under his breath and lowered his weapon, flicking the light off and peering into the black of night. It wouldn’t be long before Shepard’s own armor weakened to the cold.
Shepard always started her checks at the North-East boundary. Without light, it would be impossible to spot signs of struggle or tracks on the frozen earth, especially after three hours of wind and snow had blown over her path. Heading North-East and starting clockwise was his best chance to find her.
As he set off, Kaidan tried his com, but was met with radio silence. And while his helmet suppressed most outside noise, it did nothing to silence the thoughts roaring to life in his mind. How had he managed to sleep so long? To miss the sounds of Shepard leaving their shelter? Why hadn’t she informed him of her exit? Shepard always had a reason for breaking protocol, but this particular breech seemed reckless. They were in enemy territory, their communication with Normandy blocked, and harboring an archaeologist who had only just learned to hold a pistol. Liara hadn’t even thought to wake him. If Shepard was injured, they might have already wasted too much time.
Kaidan’s only solace came from the horrendous weather that both trapped and sheltered them. No one, organic or synthetic, would dare travel through the Aleutsk Valley during this storm. Shepard had managed to navigate the winding road two-thirds of the way to Peak 15 before the storm brewing on the mountains fell into the valley, announcing itself with booms of thunder loud enough to shake him, even from within the mako. Clouds blackened the sky as snow began to fall, thick and heavy and quick to freeze once it touched down. Lightning cracked overhead, illuminating the blizzard in ghoulish purple flashes. Within minutes, it had become too dangerous, the threat of the abrupt edge swallowing them whole too great, to continue. To Shepard’s immense displeasure, they had no choice but to stop until the weather passed.
Now, the worst of the storm seemed to have passed. Thunder continued to grumble overhead and lighting crawled across the sky, but it was lazy in comparison to the violence displayed earlier. Still, visibility remained too poor for them to move out, so Kaidan was inclined to believe that enemy forces wouldn’t be bold enough to travel this far from Peak 15. If he was correct in his assumption, exposure presented the largest threat to Shepard. And the clock was ticking.
As he approached the edge of their perimeter, a dense shadow appeared 20 meters in front of him. It was barely distinguishable from those cast by the massive ice wall into which the road had been carved, but he knew immediately: the lump on the ground was Shepard. Ice filled his veins so quickly he had half a mind to check his armor’s seals.
Instead, Kaidan started to run.
“Commander?” He called, fear plain in his voice.
“Alenko?” She answered. “What the hell are you doing out here?”
Kaidan slowed to a walk, then a halt as he reached her feet.  His brows pinched together at the confusion in her voice, combined with confusion of his own. She didn’t sound weakened or distressed, not injured in the slightest. Rather, she sounded offended by his presence.
“Coming to find you.” He started. “I was worr - Liara said you have been out here for hours.”
“Did she also tell you I instructed you to stay in the mako? Since when do you not follow orders?”
“All due respect, ma’am, that order was given to Liara, not to me.”
Over his com, he heard Shepard sigh, the sound so close to his ear he could almost feel the warmth of her breath. He found himself wishing he could, almost as badly as he wished he could see her face in that moment. In his imagination, she gazed up at him bemused, a weary smile threatening to bloom.
“Fair enough.”
She was the only Commander he’d ever known to find amusement in her crew kicking some shit her way.
“Shepard, what are you doing out here?”
Her head fall back to rest against the wall of ice behind her. Truthfully, Shepard didn’t know why she was still outside. She had checked the perimeter five times before she came to rest. If the geth could reach them, the synthetics would have blown them apart by now. Nothing was moving in this weather. Once she had sat down, standing up again didn’t seem worth the effort. Not when the only alternative was to return to the mako.
“I needed some air.” Ice crunched as her head lifted. “You should go back inside.”
Overhead, lightning creeped across clouds and allowed Kaidan to briefly see Shepard, legs splayed out in front of her and arms hanging to the side as if gravity pulled more heavily on her, held her captive. He realized, rather wistfully, that he had never seen her just sit as she was now. She almost looked human.
“If it’s alright with you, I could use some air myself.”
Shepard pursed her lips as she considered the request. She didn’t trust Liara, or leaving her alone in the mako for long. Hell, she had been hesitant to leave a dozing Kaidan alone with her. Though she held something in her mind the asari wanted, there was no telling how long the promise of the cipher would keep her loyal. At least, Shepard hoped, until they were finished dealing with Matriarch Benezia.
For now, however, she had to admit she was glad to see Kaidan. Inaction drove her insane, gave her too much time to think, to plan, to imagine all the ways that plan could fail. Kaidan was, as usual, a welcome distraction.
“Well then, pop a squat, Alenko.” She patted the ground beside her.
Kaidan was happy to follow orders and he settled in next to Shepard, his knees bent and arms crossed atop his knees. “Ya know, Shepard, I don’t think I’ve ever seen you sit still this long.”
“Yeah,” she snorted in agreement, “it’s a good thing we’re headed into a fuckload of geth because I’m losing it.”
Kaidan breathed a laugh and, wearing a smile, he fell quiet. Remarkably, so did Shepard. They sat together, their heads turned up at the sky and watching as lightning continued to dance across the clouds. Snow collected on their armor, glittering purple and black beneath the storm. It was a comfortable silence. And a rare one. Too often their time together was spent discussing the mission, the crew, all the reasons they couldn’t talk about more than work. Moments like this were often stolen away in the cargo hold, punctuated with clangs of iron as they pretended not to watch the other exercise in Shepard’s makeshift gym. Or in the mess hall, just after, as they replenished their bodies while the rest of the crew only just started to stir. A chance like this, away from Alliance eyes, would not come again soon. Kaidan closed his eyes and drank it in.
It was Shepard who broke the quiet, shifted her seat and brushed off the blanket of snow from her legs. “Do you think we can trust Liara?”
A pause. Kaidan fruitlessly scanned darkness for her expression. “I don’t think she’d lead us into a trap.”
“No,” she agreed, “if anything, we’re the ones leading her into one.” She shifted, bringing one leg underneath her so that she was facing him. Her knee was so close to him now that they almost touched. “Are you prepared to take her out, if we need to?”
Kaidan shrunk away from the question. It wasn’t that he hadn’t thought about that possibility before. He had. Liara spoke of the Matriarch more as a memory than a mother, but there was still love there. There was loss too, the immediate threat of which could bring about an unknown side of Liara. But when Kaidan thought about their impending meeting, his mind never wandered to whether or not they would have to kill one of their own. Regardless of how long she had been on board, Liara was part of the Normandy now.
Shepard sensed his reluctance. She didn’t blame him. Kaidan was a soldier, through and through, and a damn good one. He was everything the Alliance said they wanted. But she was everything the Alliance said they condemn, everything they wanted to sweep under the rug but desperately needed. He was rational thought, she was rash decisions and action. He thought about possibilities, she thought about death.
“Kaidan, there’s a lot of ways this can end really shitty and very few ways it ends neatly. If Benezia can’t be reasoned with, if I have to kill her, what do you think Liara is going to do?”
Lightning crackled ominously overhead, illuminated them briefly. It was only a few milliseconds, too short for a full breath, but enough. Kaidan caught a glimpse of Shepard behind her helmet. Vulnerability contorted her expression into one of great concern, one he had never seen her wear. It felt wrong, seeing her like that when she hadn’t intended it, like he had walked in on her naked. However, in this instance, he decided it was crucial that he did not look away.
“If Benezia won’t surrender,” Kaidan fought not to reach out for her as he spoke, “Liara will understand. This is bigger than her. She knows that.” Shepard offered the smallest of nods, accepting what he said as true. He lightened his tone, “Besides, she’s not exactly dangerous.”
Shepard chuckled at that. Liara’s stasis and barrier were impressive, but she had yet to see the asari provide any sort of offensive support. The thought vanished as soon as it appeared and she reminded herself sternly, just because Liara hasn’t shown that side of herself yet doesn’t mean it doesn’t exist.
She opened her mouth to say as much to Kaidan, then clamped down on it. For once, she had the forethought to not completely ruin the moment.
“But if she is?” Shepard didn’t give him a chance to answer. She abruptly rose to her feet, turned to face him and extended a hand. “Come on. We should get back.”
Kaidan gripped her hand and let her help him to his feet. He kept her gloved hand clasped in his as she tried to turn away, which earned him a look he could only see in his mind’s eye. A look had seen so frequently lately that he could see it perfectly. A blend of apprehension and daring, desire held back by a code of honor. A flash of loathing aimed at the invisible wall keeping them apart. He wore it often himself.
He couldn’t promise her that everything would work out. Such platitudes would do nothing for her, anyway. He couldn’t reach out and hold her like he so desperately wanted, like he hoped she wanted too. Nor could he tell her any of this. So, he squeezed her hand.
Shepard looked down at their joined hands, a small smile coming to life. Behind her helmet, in the dark, she didn’t have to suppress it. Out in the snow, alone, she didn’t have to shy away from a gesture. She looked back at him and returned the squeeze, firmly, leaving no room for misinterpretation.
Her smile remained until they reached the mako.

Might do 1 Fanfic in trade for fanart art
So I wanna do a trade with one person with artistic skills. I usually do these with @auqroix but they are currently busy with projects and other things. I just love their art a lot hahaha
Anyway I will gladly write a 5-7k oneshot fanfic in trade for fanart. Now I know there are a lot fandoms people can enjoy so I compiled a list below as to what fandoms, ships and characters I can and won’t/can’t do.
Fandoms I can do:
- Rwby
- Dragon Age
- Elder Scrolls (Skyrim or Elder Scrolls Online only)
- overwatch
- Mass effect (1-3 & Andromeda)
Ships im comfortable doing (most are wlw ships) :
- White Rose (area of expertise)
- bumbleby (dabbled a little bit in it)
- Fem!Warden x Leliana
- Fem! Hawke x Isabella
- Fem!Inquisitor x Josephine Montilyet (experimented with it)
- widowtracer (tracer x widowmaker) (also experimented)
- Symbra (symmetra x sombra)
- Meka mechanic (Brigette lindholm x d.va)
- pharmercy (Pharah x Mercy)
- female elder scrolls character x any female npc (ones you can romance or wanted to romance)
- Fem!Shep x Liara
- Fem!Ryder x Peebee
- Fem!Ryder x Suvi
Pairings I am willing to do:
- monochrome/checkmate
- Ladybug
- freezerburn
- milk and cereal (pyrrha x ruby)
- Somva (sombra x d.va)
- Fem!Inquisitior x sera
- Fem!Hawke x Merril
- Fem!Shep x Any female character
- Fem!Ryder x Keri
Things I won’t do or write:
- M/F pairings (personal reasons)
- M/M pairings (because I’m not a male and I can’t write from a male perspective I’d just make a mess of it)
- Pedophilic ships e.g. Winter x Yang, Cinder x Ruby etc. (mass effect excluded due to aliens having different life spans and laws that considers them “adults”)
- Incest ships (self explanatory)
Ps: If there is a certain RWBY wlw pairing or any other fandom pairing that you enjoy that you want me to add to the list simply comment in the reply section.
If multiple people are interested I’ll have to do a random choosing. As I only have time to one trade.
If you are interested here is a List Of My Work

ESTIMATED TIME TO CONDUIT CLOSING: 40 SECONDS
In the driver's seat, Tali floored the accelerator. In the spotter's seat, Liara gripped the edge of the seat with one hand and Del Shepard's knee with the other and vibrated with stress, blue light fizzing around her. In the gunner's seat, Del braced her whole body against the recoil of the cannon mounting, and yelled over the stuttering roar "After Saren? We're coming back."
ESTIMATED TIME TO CONDUIT CLOSING: 30 SECONDS
Liara glanced over, uncomprehending. Del leaned on the cannon's controls and shouted "Back! We are coming back! Someone needs to - to - catalogue this shit!"
Liara was looking at her now in confusion, not in terror at the swirling, shrinking relay field within the Conduit, and that was as far ahead as Del had thought, but the words seemed to be helping so she kept going. "If Tali can't find some way to sideload Vigil out of here -"
ESTIMATED TIME TO CONDUIT CLOSING: 20 SECONDS
"- we'll bring a research team here to talk to it. Two research teams. Ten research teams -"
Liara said breathlessly "Even without Vigil, I know scholars who could spend a century just on those cryopods -"
Del squeezed the last charge out of the bucking, slewing cannon and let go, flailing, as the Mako tilted alarmingly and said "Bring them. We'll make a party of it. Ilos Prothean archive sleepover. What do you -"
It rose up in front of them, storm-vast, biotic-blue, and the Mako left the ground. Tali had pulled her hands off the controls as if they were electrified. For a moment all three women stared frozen out the windscreen at the cycling field, and then a coiling line of lightning wrapped itself around the tank and tossed it forward as if it weighed nothing.
The last thing Del registered before the Conduit threw them headlong into the bright black nothingness was Liara, grabbing for her hand.

✨ Commander, you've received a new message at your private terminal. ✨
Hello! I'm looking for +21 writing partners for Mass Effect the trilogy. Currently looking for something easy to reply to that gets us hooked, with a balance between angst and fluff. Can roleplay either on tumblr or discord! Please, only interact if you're interested.
Unfortunately I don't double, but I'm open to suggestions. These are the ships I'm looking for (the character in bold is the one I'd prefer to write as, in some cases I don't mind!):
F!shep x Liara
M!shep x Kaidan
Tali x m!shep
Tali x Garrus
Tali x Legion
Miranda x Jack

I was tagged by the amazing @baggesa. Thank you very much for tagging me :D
Ok, so I guess I have many ships from games, mostly. So I will use only Mass Effect and Dragon Age for now. :)
So here are my favorite ships (I will place the general ship and then my ocs that I ship with the characters):
Femshep x Garrus Vakarian / Jessica Shepard x Garrus Vakarian (Mass Effect);
F!Warden  x Alistair Theirin /  Kahlan Amell x Alistair Theirin (Dragon Age);
MShepard x Tali’Zorah / Gustav Bertrand x Tali’Zorah / In an alternative universe, I also ship my oc Gustav with my friend @djfatchip oc Celestine Claire Shepard, instead of being with Tali, as I headcanon that Gustav isn’t actually Shepard. (Mass Effect);
M!Warden x Morrigan / Johann Amell x Morrigan (Dragon Age);
Shepard x Kaidan Alenko / Amanda Shepard x Kaidan Alenko (Mass Effect);
Femshep x Thane Krios / Keira Shepard x Thane Krios (Mass Effect);
Warden x Leliana / Laurea Tabris x Leliana (Dragon Age);
Warden x Zevran Arainai / Daya Mahariel x Zevran Arainai (Dragon Age);
F!Inquisitor x Solas / Eirien Lavellan x Solas and actually all the ships in Dragon Age: Inquisition. I really like them all and I have an oc for all the companions I can romance and I won’t be listing it here or it would be big. My main Inquisitor romanced Solas (Dragon Age: Inquisition).
I also enjoy very much a Mass Effect ship from an AU my friends and I are creating. It’s my friend @djfatchip‘s oc Bryant Leon Shepard and my friend @leysendris oc Akeelah Madaki (Mass Effect).
Relationships which would be fun to watch:
Joker x Shepard (Mass Effect);
Tali’Zorah x Khal’Rhaegar. I would love to see them in game being like a couple if Shep didn’t romance Tali (Mass Effect);
James Vega x Shepard (Mass Effect);
Ashley Williams x James Vega (Mass Effect);
Liara T’Soni x Javik (Mass Effect);
Ryder x Tiran Kandros. Since I only romanced Jaal in MEA so far, I still don’t have a main ship for this game, but I would love to be able to romance Kandros, I really like him. (Mass Effect: Andromeda);
Sometimes I feel like Kasumi x Shepard too, other times I don’t feel like them. lol
Oriana Lawson x Kolyat Krios. I don’t know why, but since I saw some fanarts I really would like to see the two together. xD (Mass Effect).
Well, these are the ones that came to my mind so far. I know many people might not agree and that’s totally ok. :)
Thank you again for tagging me! That was fun to do <3
I think most of my followers already did this, so I will tag anyone who wants to join. :)

Shipping post :)
I was tagged by @perseus-huntress, thank you, dear!
First ship you ever read fic for: Dramione.
First ship you ever wrote fic for: N/A
Ship you write the most now: N/A
Ship you read the most now: Hmmm. It is a tie among Shenko, Reyder and Dramione. In past it was Cullen x F!Inquisitor and Anders x F!Hawke.
Newest ship: I think Reyder.
Rare ship you wanna read more of: Shepard x Hackett!
Your taboo ship: I do not think I have one. If I do not like something, I just move on. The net is vast and infinite, after all.
They never met in canon ship: ditto
Your unexpected ship: Shepard x Hackett. I just read one story, and now I am hooked. Pity there are so few.
The ship you always forget to give love to: Shepard x Liara. Until LOSB, I did not really like her, I felt she was too forced on me. But after LOSB, I have started to like her and even did one PT with my F!Shep as her LI.
Ship your OC with a canon character (if applicable): Terra Shepard and Admiral Hackett
A ship you’re embarrassed to ship: None.
Your most romantic ship: Shenko
Your sexiest ship: Again a tie. Reyder and Shepard x Hackett. I have a thing for men with silver hair :)
Your most tragic ship: I do not think a ship itself is tragic, the story is. So I do not really have one.
A ship you want more content for: Shepard x Hackett. My other favorite ships are the popular ones, with lots of content.
I am tagging @makocartwheels, @blacksheep33512, @pathfindersemail, @daisytje and @foofyschmoofer, only if you want to, of course.
