Hc for Angel or EZ having a major crush on Bishop’s daughter but plot twist: she doesn’t like him back. She still nice to him but tries to pretend she doesn’t notice how he feels. Cue angst hehe — ☔️

He probably takes it the hardest. I think out of the two of them he seems to devote himself with the intent of receiving acceptance and love. He'd feel like getting with someone who knows and understands the club would work well because she would see her dad and know what comes with the territory. So for the feeling to not be mutual, it's gonna be hard on him. He would never lash out or treat her badly for not liking him back, she doesn't owe him anything at the end of the day, but I think it will be awkward for him and he will want to distance himself so he can try and forget about those feelings and move on. He'd still be friendly and protect her if ever needed, but sitting with her at a club party, flirting, inviting her out, things like that would stop. Even if he would move on, I think he'd still wonder if it was because he wasn't good enough for her and how if maybe he was different or better, he'd have had a chance with her.

He takes it better than Angel but he's still a little bummed about it. He appreciates her intelligence and with him always having a plan, he knows he would be able to learn from her and have a partner. He wouldn't take it to heart too much, still spending time around her, inviting her out as a friend, but he would start trying to move on and shift his focus somewhere else, lest he end up losing a friend too.

If you don't like EZ why the fuck are you watching the show he's the whole show

I had to sit with this for a minute, I admit. Not because I think it's right and correct, but because it's so defensive I wanted to make sure I said this properly.

Mayans M.C. is not just about EZ Reyes, just like SoA was not just about Jax Teller. If either had been the case, I never would have seen either series through. Main characters give us a focal point, sure, but the supporting cast are the meat of the tale. If not for them, for their lives and storylines, EZ probably would have been shot dead in S1, or, at the very least, still behind bars. There is no show without all of the players present. And, unfortunately, he's endangering said players.

An issue I have with the telling of this story, and its main player, EZ Reyes, is that they've stripped him of anything and everything I could possibly root for. As President, he's in the Clay Morrow era of leadership. Every move is designed to benefit himself the Club on a financial level. It's about ego, and power. Status. Outsmarting people who are a hell of a lot smarter and more experienced. The writers have skittered right past creating an antihero, and instead have taken a head-first dive into presenting us with a villain to lead the way. It's hard to pull for a dude who's just going to get his people - his support - killed.

In the end, this is fiction, and I do enjoy the fact that this show makes me feel a rainbow of emotions. But EZ Reyes is still a character who can go cannonball onto a fence post.

I know Miguel and EZ have had issues (to put it mildly) for ages but that little clip from the new trailer instantly made think of their dynamic now as being the eldest sibling antagonizing the youngest. I'm really going to enjoy seeing Miguel with his brothers this season.

yes absolutely, I think their new family connection will put an interesting spin on their dynamic. but one other reason why I think Miguel might get along better with Angel than with EZ is because they just don't have all the Emily baggage between them. this only came to mind after I answered the anon ask the other day but yes, the Emily of it all is still going to be an "issue" between Miguel and EZ. especially if EZ knows how Miguel is currently treating her (from what we know so far anyway).

although, there is also the issue that Angel's baby mama framed Miguel for murder which forced him to flee to Mexico in the first place. and the high chance that it was Angel who burned down the drug warehouse (is that why EZ punched Angel in the face in one of the trailers?).

Miguel really has a lot of reasons to antagonize them both.
