NY headcannons I’ve been thinking about all day so I could give u guys some!!

-New York is one clumsy fella. He has broken many bones, and he has broken many peoples bones too, but that’s not important. I would feel he breaks his hands or legs the most from kicking/punching.

-I feel like he will just bite you. I can imagine him just getting in a fight and just biting someone, stunning them out of confusion and hurting them too. multitasking. smart fucker.

-get called a dumbass a lot, is a dumbass.

-Mass is forced to take care of this idiot every time he hurts himself bc if someone else hurt him that person wouldn’t be alive anymore. Mass and Gin made their own ‘nurses office’ because of the clumsy states.

-man’s cannot physically walk in a straight line, always bumping into something and tripping. they all make fun of him for it.

-has very shaky hands and is just very shaky in general. Caffeine or not, he has a tendency to drop shit and is never trusted with glass.

-eyelashes always on fleek cause he wears mascara. the good stuff too, making him look so very pretty.

-cannot be left alone or he will do shit that he shouldn’t do. Especially not with New Jersey. Two idiots in the same room together never work out 😭. that duo will do all sorts of crazy shot together.

-I feel like NJ and NY would be close friends when they aren’t fighting (which isn’t often). they could garden together, do dumb shit, make each other laugh, then get yelled at together. just like when they were younger.

-has the most specific insults ever. he’ll bring up any dumb law or shit that states had or tried to pass years ago and still make fun of them for it. (I feel like all states do this to each other, but York does it on random outta nowhere whenever it gets too silent) examples: Indiana trying to make the math term, pi, 3.2, and trying to change it by law or maybe when the AGE OF CONSENT was 7 in the state of DELAWARE?! UNTIL 1972??!

-Mass has a specific box of medicines and health things that’s labeled ‘York’ and it’s usually all the things to fix the things York does to himself.

-if someone gives him a sticker sheet, he will go autism mode and place them everywhere and on the persons face. (looking at you, California.)

-is a very restless sleeper, will squirm outta anyone’s arms unless they are warm or they have a very tight grip on him,

-loves baggy clothes. sweatpants, t-shirts, hoodies, sweaters, etc. (HOW CUTE WOULD HE LOOK IN A STRIPED SWEATER??! HELLOO? MATCHING WITH CAL TOO?!)

-when he spaces out, he sticks his tongue out a bit, telling whoever in the room with him that he is dissociating.

Aki woke up in her bed at home one morning, the sunlight shining vigorously through the opened curtains.

The cherry blossom season was over, and the sun was shining brightly as summer rolled in.

The season for class changes had already passed, and summer vacation was just around the corner.

As usual, Aki ate breakfast alone, changed into her school uniform, put some makeup on quickly, and headed to the front door.

Just as she was about to leave the house, she swore she heard a cry.

“Help me.”

Did she hear a voice?

Eh? She had everything she needed, right..?

Surprised, she looked around.

“Find me.”

The voice was soft as a whisper, but had a bell-like tone to it. Aki immediately recognized it.

“M-Mi...sao-chan..? Misao-chan, is that you?”

Nothing changed. The entrance to her house remained as it was, and Misao didn’t appear.

Maybe she just imagined she heard Misao’s voice? That’s what Aki tried to tell herself. After all, three months ago, Misao had gone missing.

“It’s already July...”

She then noticed the clock on the wall and let out a gasp.

“I don’t have time for this! If I don’t hurry, I’ll be late!” She threw open the door and hurried off to school.

Aki made it on time to school on foot, as she, like a minority of the students, were able to live at home. Students all over the country attended her school, so most of them had to live in dormitories.

Even though it was early in the morning, the sunlight was quite harsh.

The dormitory students often said stuff like, “you’re so lucky to be close to home!”, but Aki envied everyone who went to school from the dorms. Moreover, due to the distance between her house and school, she wasn’t allowed to take her bicycle.

It was only about a ten minute walk.

After passing by the intersection of her school road and highway, she saw other students clad in the same uniform as her beginning to appear.

The dorm students began to join them, and greetings began to arise.

“Good morning, Aki!”

Aki turned to reply. “Good morning.”

There was a smiling girl in her uniform with two buttons of her shirt unbuttoned, and her skirt being quite short. Her brightly dyed hair was silky and long, with her bangs pinned. Her makeup was darker than Aki’s, and her eyelashes were on fleek.

It was her best friend, Ayaka, who was also a dorm student. She greeted her every morning like this, even on rainy days, and the two had been in the same class since their first year, where she had said the same thing. She was a really nice girl, but she didn’t have an interesting story.

“You’re so full of life, Ayaka.”

“Oh yeah?”

“Anyway, are you confident about the final exams?”

The results of last week's final exams were due back one after another starting today. The fact that Ayaka was so energetic in spite of that must mean that she had a lot of confidence in herself.

“The what?” Ayaka tilted her head to the side. She paused for a moment, before nodding to herself. “Oh yeah. Right. Those happened, didn’t they?” she laughed.

“I hope I did okay.” Aki said with a sigh.

“It’ll be alright, Aki! You’ll see!”

Aki wasn’t sure why, but Ayaka’s words cheered her up.

Once they were at the entrance of the school building, they changed their shoes to their classroom shoes, and headed to their classroom on the second floor of the building.

A few students roamed the corridor. They were the only ones who got to school early.

Being a student from home, Aki always made sure to arrive early in case something went wrong.

Ayaka, a dorm student, didn’t have to get up as early, but she matched Aki’s pace anyway. When Aki had questioned it, she had only laughed and said, “I don’t mind getting up early. It gives me more time to do my makeup!”

The two girls were the first to arrive to their classroom, 2-B among the students.

However, their teacher, Kurata-sensei, was there.

“Oh, good morning, girls.” Kurata-sensei said. He was in charge of english class, and was a very beautiful man with a mysterious aura to him. He had a reputation for being strict when it comes to his work, but he was very popular with the students because he was known for his cleverness. “It's not even homeroom time yet." His voice was as gorgeous as ever. He fixed the position of his desk a little bit.

“We were just passing by the classroom earlier and got curious if you were here.”

“Hey, there’s a notebook.” Aki noticed.

“You guys are being lax. Who was on duty to clean the classroom yesterday?” Kurata-sensei grumbled and pulled out a notebook from the inside pocket of his suit and checked it, because lately the boys have been playing baseball or something.

“Ah...it’s no good, huh.”

After noticing Kurata-sensei staring at Misao’s desk after looking at his notebook, Aki spoke up. “Do you mind?” She didn’t specify what she meant, but their teacher seemed to understand.

“Of course.”

“...Did you ever find out anything?”

“No. I’m sorry.” Kurata-sensei shook his head. “If I find anything out, I’ll let everyone know immediately.”

After Kurata left the classroom, Ayaka started squealing. “Kurata-sensei’s suit was brand new!” She said excitedly, leaning forward.

“Hm. Is that so?”

“Yeah! Didn’t you see it?”

“I saw it, but I don’t really care.”

“Ehh. That’s not right. It was so cool!” Ayaka trembled in joy.

Ayaka was a fan of Kurata-sensei and always said things like this...Well, yes, Aki had to admit that he was tall and looked good in a suit, but Ayaka was always talking about him.

“How do you never get talking about him, day in and day out?”

“Because he’s so amazing! He’s kind, witty, handsome...haa, getting up early was the best decision I ever made! Thank you, Aki!”

As the two talked, a voice spoke up. “Yo.” A boy walked into the classroom.

His name was Yuuki Tohma-kun.

He was always smiling, good natured and...well, a bit flirtatious. He had sharp eyes and a number of piercings on his ears. He could look bad and scary sometimes, but he usually appeared cool.

“G-good morning.” For some reason, Aki’s tone as a bit high pitched.

“Kurata-sensei was talking about you earlier.” Ayaka called out to Tohma.

“Ah, sensei was?” Tohma replied in a slightly annoyed tone. He and another boy had been on classroom cleaning duty the previous day. “I wasn’t the only one on cleaning duty yesterday.”

His tone of voice was a bit familiar, before Aki realized it was almost the exact same as Kurata’s had been.

“It’s just a desk. No one’s going to die or anything. Why does it matter to you, anyway? You’re not the chairman.”

“Well, I can’t forgive anyone who bothers Kurata-sensei!” Ayaka said with pride.

“Hmph. I’m not bothering anyone.” Tohma said and went to his seat.

“It’s because of guys like him that Kurata-sensei has to work so hard...” Ayaka sighed.

As Aki talked with Ayaka, a girl with a ponytail walked past them and said, "Good morning, Aki-chan, Ayaka-chan.” From the ponytail alone, Aki knew who the girl was without having to look at her face. She had a sense of style and was clearly a beautiful woman. “Oh. Tohma. I didn’t know you were here already.”

Saotome ran towards Tohma.

Everyone in class knew the two of them were dating.

They never cared if there were people around, they were always in their own world of lovey-dovey gush and honestly, there were times when Aki couldn't even look at them!

“Hey, Otome. Can I come visit the girls dorm sometime?” Tohma asked immediately, starting to play with her hair.

“Ehh. It’s forbidden for boys to come over. They’ll get angry if they find out.”

“But I’d like to spend more time with Otome.”

“I appreciate the sentiment, but~”

...Things such as these were an everyday occurrence.

Blind Dates-The guy who hated red

I am a lover of love. Despite my roller-coaster history, I am still a huge believer in that fairy tale ending. So when a good friend asks if I’m ok to be set up with some cute guy she knows then hell yeah count me in. 

My friend, we’ll say, Sarah, worked at a cafe. Now Sarah was an absolute stunner. I mean this woman was in her 40s but would easily make any 20 year old grab their partner's hand that little bit tighter when she was around. 

And not only was she blessed with good looks she was the freaken nicest person you’d ever meet. She was always there to listen, cheerleader, give advice, was so intelligent and would always let me vent.

Sarah was also in the beauty industry, so she always her eyelash extensions were on fleek, natural makeup that accentuated her green eyes but was also really into the spiritual side of life, perfect balance. She was very good at reading vibes and auras and a big believer in karma. This is good because as I said earlier she was crazy nice so she would definitely be banking in Karma points. 

OK back to the date, Sarah said that this older very charming guy was a regular at the cafe because he was a project manager for the construction going on in the shopping centre. 

I worked in the offices across from the centre so decided to meet up with captain charming on my lunch break. This way I looked good in my office attire, I had a time restraint on the date if it was going south and could use the old “oh look at the time I have to get back to work”.  

We met up at the cafe so Sarah could do weird introductions with her damn milf energy and captain charming and I got coffee to go and sat around the corner. I’l give it to Sarah, the dude had a great smile. 

We started off with the usual blind date convo, “what's your name, what do you do for work, what do you do for fun, do you like to travel and insert something about the location and/or coffee”. 

Conversation was ok, I couldn’t tell if he was interested or not but he hadn’t exactly left yet. Then we got on to the conversation of favorite foods and oh my gosh did this guys energy just shift. 

He became super interested in the conversation and very passionate about his particular distaste. The dude absolutely hated any food that was RED!

He didn’t just glaze over this topic he really dove deep into its history, apparently “heaps of previous girlfriends” would try to make him eat red food and he hated it. One even tried blindfolding him but he could tell, *damn Charming you got skills*

Needless to say after seeing Captain Charming so passionate about his hatred for red food my lunch break finished way way early. We did the awkward add each other on facebook because numbers were not something I wanted to exchange and left it at that. I never heard from him again. Sarah said he came by the cafe still but didn’t mention anything other than “she was cute”.

A few weeks later he came back into the cafe and confessed his feelings for Sarah. She was in a relationship and was not reciprocating hence why she thought to set us up earlier.

Make-up for lazy and/or busy people

Have some practical tips from someone who doesn't really has time for this, but tries it anyway.

It's 2019 and everyone's a beauty guru

  Let me preface this by saying: you don't need make-up. Don't let people tell you you need to 'put your face on'. You can damn well choose which face you'll be projecting each day or even part of the day. Unless you're manning one of those cosmetics counters in a mall, how you look is mostly about you and what makes you feel comfy. So while I'll be giving random ass tips on how to get certain looks with minimal effort, even that minimal effort is totally optional.

Now. Onward.

So I made it into my thirties without ever actually bothering with the whole 'make-up' thing. But now my job requires me to be Fancy sometimes, so last year I decided to make it a Project to learn and be somewhat good at it. I watched a whole bunch of youtube and read articles and Looked Stuff Up and then I bought a cheap version of All the Things to practice. It's honestly quite an overwhelming experience, and it's even harder if you, like, have a day job and hobbies and anime to watch and videogames to play and ranting blogs to write.

Like, Tati I love you but I'm not about to get up an hour earlier for this shit.

If you need some low-stakes, 'just looking around' type stuff, that's what this is here for. I cannot tell you how to do a cut crease or any of the fancy stuff. So have some of my own meandering experience, which can hopefully help you a little bit.

 What is all this stuff?

When I did my research at first, I drew up a list of Things I apparently needed to buy to do the make-up. It turned out to be a long ass list. Here are the 'common' items on said list.

1. Primer

Exactly like the thing you put on your walls before you paint them. Supposed to go on top of the moisturizer and under everything else and depending on the primer, does different things. This is.…kindof extra. I've tried two different 'colour correcting anti red' primers and all they seem to do is dry out my skin. I'm sure some are nice but this is really not a basic necessity.

2. Foundation

The thing you slather on to make your skin either look smooth like polished marble, or cakey like badly done stucco. Kinda depends on how good you're at it. Comes in varieties.

Full coverage foundation: The stuff all the make-up youtubers use. It essentially turns you into one of those Japanese mask monsters? Like the ghost from Spirited Away. Good at getting rid of any and all blemishes, but requires More Work later on.

BB cream (or CC, or DD…): Supposed to be a more skincare friendly version of foundation. I've tried a few brands and they ended up medium to full coverage, and all of them dried out my skin.

Tinted moisturizer: Not… strictly… make-up? In Europe you tend to find these in pharmacy/parapharmacy places (so Boots or Walgreens for UK/US peeps). It's essentially moisturizer with some colouring in it to give your face extra oomph. Also, what I long expected BB cream to be (it is not). Because it's pharmacy stuff, it comes in versions with like no perfume, so if you have sensitive skin but want an Instagram filter for your face, this is probably something to look into.

3. Concealer

Spot treatment to get rid of any glaring discolouration you wish to hide. +10 to all stealth checks on red spots and eye bags, but does make wrinkles really obvious.

4. Face powder/baking powder

I have no clue what this is good for. I've tried two different ones on several occasions, and I think they're supposed to stop you from getting shiny by absorbing any facial oil. They mostly just make me look dusty.

5. Bronzer

Here's the fun thing about using full coverage foundation to make yourself look like a ghost: you then need More Product to make yourself look alive again. Enter: bronzer. This stuff puts a bit of colour back into those spots you so carefully blotted out so that you appear moar hooman. Only useful if you do the whole 'full coverage foundation' thing.

6. Contouring

That thing you know because of the Kardashians. Alternatively: don't let them know we can shapeshift. This is morphing powder/cream for your face. You use it to add shadows where no shadows are, and light where there is shadow and of course this means most people use it to look as close to skeletons as possible. Can do really cool things if you know what you're doing, and look Really Wrong if you mess it up. Not for the faint of heart. Also: your nose is fine. Really.

7. Blush

Blushing is the ultimate staple of romance fics, and it looks cute. Blush powder/cream is meant to give you glowing apple cheeks, even when you're not actively feeling embarrassed.

8. Highlighter

Societally acceptable glitter for the skin. This shit is amazing. It's officially supposed to make you 'glow' and  look 'youthful' and 'juicy' but honey, who cares: Glitter!

9. Lip liner

A pencil/felt pen for your lips. Supposed to help you paint the outside of your lips so you only have to fill in the lines with lipstick later. Like carefully searching the edges before using the flood tool in Photoshop. Considering I'm pretty bad at the 'smooth strokes at lip edge' thing, it doesn't really help me to have to do it twice but ok.

10. Lip stuff

My favourite Make-up Thing. Puts colour on your lips. Comes in varieties.

Lipstick: Your mom's classic lipstick. The one with the twisty tube. Comes in a million colours and is sometimes moisturizing. Cons: everything your lips touch is now covered in lipstick.

Liquid lipstick: The stuff in the long tubes with the applicator. Usually transfer-proof which means that your coffee cup does not look like a blood bath after a few sips. Dries the hell out of your lips tho.

Lipgloss: the stuff that makes your hair stick to your face at the least gust of wind. Usually quite moisturizing but also super sticky. Makes your tea mug look like a particularly grisly murder scene.

Lip topper: Extra. Like… so extra. This is lip stuff that goes on top of your lip stuff in case you don't have enough lip stuff. Usually metallic or glitter. Because Extra.

Tinted lip balm: Another cheat item, like tinted moisturizer, in that it's not Officially Make-up. Is essentially lip balm, so it's not sticky and usually quite moisturizing and protective. Downside is that its colouring tends to be quite muted.

11. Eyebrow stuff

I don't know when 'fleek' became such an obsession, but there are pencils, and pomades, and powder and gels and spoolie brushes and they all do the same thing: shape your eyebrows.

12. Eyelid primer

Funny thing about eyes: if you have deepset or hooded eyes, like me, your eyelid spends most of its time covered by Moar Eyelid. This tends to transfer whatever you put on said eyelid to all the other skin. Hence: eyelid primer, which is like… glue? I guess? Makes stuff stay in place. For those people who don't have a bunch of eyelid foldage, it's supposed to help with the blending and whatnot.

13. Eyeshadow

Pretty colours for your eyes. Comes in powder and cream, and in literally so many colours, be it matte (no shiny), metallic (shiny), glitter (extra shiny) and fairly recently multichrome (Extra). I see a lot of influencers and (let's be real) make-up companies push the idea that you need like four shades and half an hour of blending for any given 'look' but that is mostly exaggeration. You can just pick a colour you like and wear it.

14. Eyeliner

Pencil or paint that lines your eyes and occasionally gives them wings. Comes in varieties.

Liquid eye liner: your basic all-purpose liner. This one has the advantage that it can usually be applied very thin and stealthy like.

Gel liner: as far as I can tell, a lot of liquid eye liner has an alcohol base, whereas gel liner does not. Its main reason for existing is that you can somewhat safely put it in your waterline, aka to colour the part of the eyelid just behind the lashes. This means you're going to be jabbing the pen or brush in your actual fucking eye, on the bottom/inside of your friggin eyelid and this is Terrifying. On the bright side: it's a pretty badass punky/emo/goth look. Think Avril Lavigne circa Sk8ter boy.

Kohl/pencil: this is a colouring pencil for your eyes. Tends to be a little bit thicker for extra Drama. Can also be smudged for smokey eye and even more goth points.

15. Mascara

Paint for your eyelashes. Most mascaras try to make them look bigger.

16. Falsies

Glue false eyelashes onto your own eyelashes. Ain't nobody got time for that.

17. Setting spray

Face varnish. If you've spent an entire hour getting your make-up super pretty and fancy, you can put this on to make it last longer.

  So how do you use all this?

That… was a lot of stuff and we're all still overwhelmed. So let me give you some suggestions, a 'look book' of wearable looks for every day and special ocasions, aka, now that i have this stuff, wtf am i doing with it.

The 'fuck everything' I have a shirt that says 'No.' on it. It's one of my favourite shirts and I use it on deadline weeks, when I'm in the office with a particularly large amount of stressful work. I tend to pair it with a noise-cancelling headset and a look of barely-restrained fury, but it'll look just as good with a cute dress or a comfy pair of jeans. Go wild. This facial look consists of the following:

Moisturizer

Lip balm in winter, sun screen in summer.

  The 'I tried'

This was my 'work' look for several years and occasionally still. The fun thing about it is it's quite subtle and most people (definitely most men) will not think you're wearing anything. It makes you feel like you're undercover, just a bit (I take my entertainment where i can get it, ok).

Consists of:

Skincare (moisturise, people!)

Eyebrow pencil

Mascara

  The 'You look nice today'

This one works basically like a photoshop filter for your face, if you're into that. It blurs out a little bit of the rough edges and emphasises other parts, but it still looks very much like you. Just a version of you that gets more sleep than the actual you, usually. For me, at least, it works to make me go 'damn, looking cute' when I accidentally meet my reflection in a bathroom mirror. It's a confidence builder.

Mosturiser

Tinted moisturiser or BB cream (depends on general dryness of skin I guess)

Concealer (eyebags, man)

Eyebrow pencil

Mascara

Tinted lip balm or lip gloss

 A note on lips: Look. I love dark lipstick. Make me appear as if I have stained my lips in the blood of my enemies and I'm happy. But a dark liquid lip needs to be on point to look good, which is a hard thing to do, plus if you get it wrong it is very hard to correct and I don't need that stress in my daily life. Gloss or lip balm is just a little bit more low-stakes.

The 'Make me look like my selfie'

Some days you have time. This look is essentially the same as the 'you look nice today' with two additions

Cream eyeshadow

A note on cream make-up: Most make-up products come in a powder form and a cream/liquid type form. Generally, the powder form is more blendable, and those fancy eyeshadow pallettes let you do all kinds of crazy amazing stuff. However, we're talking lazy working girl looks, and I happen to do my make-up on a moving train (see earlier: not getting up an hour early for this shit). If you're going to be applying things in less than ideal circumstances, cream make-up is your best friend. It doesn't explode in a cloud of dust, it doesn't break when you drop it, there's no fall-out. It is, in general, lower difficulty, can be applied with like your fingers or one of those tiny little make-up sponges, and if you get it in a fairly neutral colour (like just a bit darker or lighter than your skintone) it isn't obvious if your bleary ass messes up a little. We're being practical here, not trying to make things more difficult than it has to be.

The 'yeah I worked hard on this, bask in my glory'

Finally, the full glam. I personally use this when I am required to be Fancy, or when it's a Sunday and I'm all 'fuck it i wanna be fab'. This is the one where you just go for it. Use All the Things. Turn your face into a ghost, then paint shadows back on. Use six different eyeshadows and blend them together. Put that liquid lip to use, you have time to clean it up and try again. Add glitter to Everything. Have fun with it.

Scorpio: Normally very quiet and give of a “speak to me and I’ll murder you” vibe. Actually just loves memes and that’s what they’re looking at when their head is resting on the desks. The teachers don’t care because they generally do well and don’t distrupt the lesson. And they’re scared of them. Alternatively, they’re outgoing and social and very popular.

Sagittarius: Fierce and give of a don’t give a f*ck attitude whether they’re loud or shy. They love adventures so their favourite lessons are pe and geography. They also are f*cking hilarious and joke alot. Have the ability to do well but the teachers don’t have faith. They generally care about having fun and a good time.

Capricorn: Are a model student. Have alot of enemies, but they literally are only about success. They’re not interested in a relationship at the moment. They have friends and they do amazing in class, but they are also quite serious and don’t go out with said friends very often. Or they can be stupid and slaggy and no one respects them lol

Aquarius: Definietly thinkers. They’re the ones that excel in English because they’re deeply intellectual and think outside the box. Have alot of friends but seem to argue with them due to the friends being impatient with the Aquarians bullcrap conspiracies. They are funny though. They’re not popular nor unpopular, they just float in the middle.

Pisces: Pisceans sleep in class alot and don’t care too much about school. They enjoy creative writing and arts and excel in these subjects. They struggle with maths and science because they would rather dream of their future and create intimate thoughts surrounding this. They have an average sized friendship group and are either really good in class or really don’t care.

I'm doing a thing I think.... My Connor 3D model part 1

So why I´m so little active? Well life in general but also cause smart me decided “hey let´s do this super realistic character for my assignment when I don´t even know the program” 

And thus my spare time has gone completely into god damn getting this model to look like the reference and let me tell u

It´s been a ride

Zbrush is a damn difficult program to work with and I salut whoever can master it cause that is real life goals right there.

(kinda long post ahead but basically more of my process screenshots and a bit thoughts on how difficult 3D modelling actually is)

Here you can see how I completely messed up on human faces in the beginning and then what 8-10 hours did, though had to, like I usual have to when it comes to 3D models - fucking completely change the face several times and make new body parts (I was late on actually doing the basic forms oof)

I did get the volumes to work at first but there was still something horribly wrong with the face, far too little depth. I´ve learned that human faces have a lot of that. Which is super (not) fun while shaping one. And how one small change can make it seem like a completely different person.

Then we come to the phases we don´t speak of where me being a noob failed at making a body and clothes twice, though after another 15 hours I got there. For now. 

Then more changes in the facial region (aka what I´ve used 80% of my time to do I need help) Followed up by this weird polygon thingy with polygroups...thingy that I´m surprised I even understand. I have to animate this thing too. Oof.

And now we´re getting closer to the current look on this abomination, that´s starting to sorta look like a man at least, even though the god damn balance is still off. And the texture is just horrible. Which is why I changed it soon after, to check how it actually looked. At this stage, I also realized humans have necks and this drastically changed the whole thing. Funny how one little change can do that much - which is the theme for the current version:

After getting feedback from my class, while trying not to cringe at the lack of my skills, I fixed a few important features and key factors: Shoulders and legs. Or well - actually giving him shoes cause I hadn´t gotten there yet. I also gave him proper ears that kinda resembles them I hope, and again - gave him eyelids after about 5 tries where I accidentally forgot I had duplicated the head which is like 2 million points and suddenly had 10 million in the file. Whoops.

He still lacks eyebrows, which is extremely important to how you look, and his iconic hair and blue light, but that´s what I have to do in another 40 ish hours. Ye. I´ve lost track but I think I´ve used 50 hours by now. And I thought a 10hr rendering was time-consuming...

To sum this up before this post, that probably none will fully read but hey I wanted to share my process with yall, here are some things I have to work with tomorrow:

-Getting the volumes in the face correct

-Connecting the sleeves and jacket (long story short I kinda fucked up and my teacher has to show it to me. Again)

-EYEBROWS ON FLEEK BRO - have to use this advanced fibermesh thingy to try and give him hair strands - and eyelashes too

- Those EYES, are quickly painted on and looks too derpy so I´ll hopefully get that added sooner or later

- Folds in his clothes. Oof. One thing is drawing folds but another is modelling it. Have to connect the jacket and pants first though. And fix the collars on his shirt.

- Finishing the nice shoes I made in like an hour that of course symmetry didn´t work on and that can be an issue (a lot of terms difficult to explain sorry)

- Giving him his adorable tie and just - fix his iconic jacket in general. When I´m less of a noob hopefully.

- And of course: colours

I probs won´t do ALL that tomorrow but hopefully the most important ones so he wounds up looking like Connor.

Ethan or Grayson? (Dolan Twins)

So Y/N and the Dolan Twins meet again at a Youtuber party. Y/N has had this crush on Ethan for like ever. Little does she know that they BOTH do too. They talk and they ask her to be in their video. She says yes obviously. They decide to do a makeup video. But when she does Grayson’s lipstick they both feel a tension and decide to go in for a kiss and that’s when Ethan walks in...

You were so ready for this party. Every Youtuber you knew was going to be there and the DOLAN TWINS! That meant Ethan! You’ve always had a little crush on Ethan, you just think he is so cute and you love his personality. You loved both of them but you didn’t know what it was though. You couldn’t wait any longer just thinking about the fact that you would get to see them. After you did your makeup and did your hair you put on your outfit that you had planned to wear for this special night and headed out to the Uber that was taking you to the party.

When you got there your friend Liza greeted you with a hug. “Hey Y/N,” she said.

“Hey, you look great,” you said looking at her.

“So do you. Oh, my look at that dress!” she said putting her hand over her mouth pretending to gasp.

“Thanks,” you said blushing a bit.

“So you know who’s here don’t you,” she said raising an eyebrow and tilting her head toward where Grayson and Ethan were standing.

“Shhh,” you said looking around to make sure no one had seen. She laughed. Liza was the only one that knew you had a crush on Ethan. And when you say the only one, you meant the ONLY one. You had never told another living soul.

“You should do a video with them,” she said winking at me.

You laughed. “Are you crazy! You know I always get way too nervous around Ethan,” you said widening your eyes.

“I know, I know,” she said laughing.

“I mean I’m not saying that I don’t want to, but I wouldn’t be able to bring myself to asking them,” you said looking at the floor.

“You see that’s where I come in. Did you really think that I would ever let you leave this party without talking to Ethan?” she said starting to walk towards where the boys were standing.

“Liza!” you said raising your voice a bit. You didn’t have a choice but to follow her to try and stop her but it was too late. You were standing right in front of them now.

“Hey guys,” she said giving them a smile. You couldn’t do anything but smile as well. 

“Hey!” they both said going in to hug you both. Grayson hugged you and when Ethan hugged you, you felt your legs start to shake.

“Oh would you look at that, it looks like David needs me,” she said looking at her phone and walking off leaving you alone with both the twins turning to look at you.

“So I saw your new video with the new 5 million subscribers you got. It was so nice of you to follow some fans and give them merch” you said trying not to stumble on your words.

“Yeah it’s just so crazy to think that Ethan and I are living our dreams because of them,” Grayson said looking at Ethan and then back at you.

“Yes our fans are truly amazing and we love them all so much,” Ethan said turning away from Grayson to you.

“We have actually seen some of your videos as well Y/N and you are hilarious,” Grayson said laughing with Ethan. You didn’t know if it was just you but you could have sworn that they both blushed a bit when Grayson said that.

“Really?!” You asked surprised.

“Yeah and we were actually wondering if you wanted to be a guest on our channel and like do our makeup or something,” Ethan said blushing a bit again. That’s when you noticed that it wasn’t just you. You slipped the thought aside thinking that every boy does so when he is talking to a girl.

“Yeah sure,” you said trying not to sound so excited, even though you literally wanted to scream at the top of your lungs and do a little happy dance.

“Great, how about tomorrow?” Grayson said smiling.

“Yeah that works for me,” you said smiling back at them.

As you said that your phone vibrated and it was a message from Liza. ‘Okay, I am coming over right now! You better have at least gotten his number or something!’ And with that, she was standing right next to you not giving you a chance to respond to her text.

“Hey guys I’m going to steal Y/N for just a few minutes and don’t worry I’ll bring her back in two pieces so you can both share,” she said winking at them. 

“She’s just kidding,” you said laughing nervously. Both of the twins looked at each blushing and then back at you. 

As Liza dragged you to the restrooms you stopped her as you both went in and making sure no one was in there. 

“Liza really you just had to didn’t you,” you said laughing.

“Yes. Yes, I did Y/N” she said fixing her makeup in the mirror. “So what did you talk about,” she asked applying some more lip gloss.

“Well you’re not going to believe me but they asked me to make a video with them!” you said finally letting out the excitement you had felt earlier.

“See I told you!” She said turning her head in disbelief. You couldn’t deny that tonight was one of the best nights of your life. You couldn’t wait for tomorrow.

The next morning you awoke to a text from Ethan. ‘We are ready for our video Y/N if you want to make your way over to our place.’

Oh crap, you had fallen asleep for too long. It was 11, you usually woke up at 9 or 10 but you guessed you had forgotten to set you daily alarm. You texted Ethan asking for their address. He texted it to you and then you got up and quickly jumped in the shower. After you got out you brushed your teeth and you applied some makeup. Packed all the makeup you needed for today and grabbed your keys and headed out the door.

You were so nervous you were gripping the wheel so tight your knuckles got white. As you stopped at each red light so many thoughts went through your head. You felt so insecure. What if they didn’t like you? What if it got awkward? What if they think you’re really weird? You were overthinking so much the car behind honked at you because the light had turned green but you hadn’t noticed yet.

As you put your car in park arriving at their apartment. You got a text from Liza ‘You brought a condom right?!’ You couldn’t believe it. You texted her back almost immediately ‘Liza wth it’s just a video we’re making’ you typed, also adding a confused and laughing emoji. She texted back and all she sent was a winky face. With that, you turned your phone off and got out of the car putting your phone in your back pocket and taking out the makeup bags.

You knocked on the door and Ethan opened it. He was wearing a plain white see-through shirt, dark blue jeans, and his black Vans. “Hey Y/N,” he said pulling you in for a hug.

“Hey,” you said as you caught a whiff of his wonderful cologne as you hugged him. “Where’s Grayson?” you said trying to cover up the fact that you were so happy to see HIM again and not Grayson. But you failed he had noticed. 

“Oh, he’s in his room getting changed,” he said as his smile faded away. He probably thought that you did come just to see Grayson.

You followed him as you both sat next to each other on the couch waiting for Grayson in silence. You really hated silence so you broke it by saying something nice to him because you felt bad about earlier.

“In my opinion, I think your eyebrows are more fleek then Grayson’s,” you said turning towards him and touching his eyebrow as you smiled.

“Thanks, although that’s not what James said last time he did our makeup,” he said laughing and making you laugh as well.

At that moment Grayson walked in. He was wearing dark blue jeans with white Converse and a black sleeved shirt that was tight enough for you to see his muscles in. That’s when you realized that black really suited him. You stood up to give him a hug. Ethan stood up as well and they walked over to where the cameras and all the lighting was set up. They turned on their camera and began their intro.

When you came into the intro and they presented you to the camera, you all decided that the makeup was going to be a surprise so they could record their reactions at the end. So Ethan went into his room first leaving you and Grayson alone. 

“Y/N can I ask you something?” Grayson said as you started to take out the makeup out of your makeup bag.

“Yeah, what?” You said looking at him.

“Do you think I’ll look like a victoria secret model after your done?” he said batting his eyelashes at you. This made you laugh.

“Yes. I’m sure you will” you said still laughing.

Before you applied the final touch. The lipstick. You tried so hard not to let your hands shake so much. He bit his lips before you applied it. This made you crazy for some reason. As you put the lipstick on his soft pink lips you felt yourself wanting to kiss this man so bad. What was wrong with you! You liked Ethan! Grayson caught you staring at his lips after you had applied the lipstick.

“What?” he said smiling.

“Oh, nothing,” you said snapping back to reality. “I'm all done,” you said sheepishly after you realized he had caught you. Oh, god you had just remembered that they were filming everything. You would hope that they would edit that part out. You noticed that Grayson was now staring at you. There was silence as you both looked at each other. He moved forward from where he was sitting and so did you for some reason. It was as if he was pulling you towards him with a rope. Just inches away from his lips and then boom you felt his lips against yours. He tasted so good and you didn’t want pull away but you actually couldn’t. You could tell that he had brushed his teeth just minutes before because he tasted like mint. The kiss started out slow but suddenly got more passionate as your lips moved in sync. He licked your bottom lip asking for entrance into your mouth. You don’t know why but you gave it to him and with that, his tongue took dominance over yours. Just then Ethan walked in, “Are you guys done yet?”. He stopped in his tracks when he saw you two. You and Grayson pulled away immediately noticing Ethan.

5′8. Photogenic af. Dark red hair, that used to reach her bellybutton, but she choped it into a lob. Naturally skinny and slender, she has a thin hourglass figure. Legs for days. Almond shaped Green eyes, but instead of being emerald, the Green is more like an avada kedavra green. Thick eyelashes and red brows. Round-squared face shape, like her mum. She looks a hell lot like Natalie Portman. Perfect bone structure. Olive skin, Lily can easily tan. She has freckles on her nose, shoulders, boobs and hips, and then she has freckles and moles separated, creating constellations through all her body. She also has a single freckle over her lip, at the right, just like Marilyn Monroe, which Fleur loves. Her extremely pink and full lips are her signature look, usually painted a cherry red. She’s a blend of a lot of Lily Evans and some of Ginny Weasley. Sassy smile, Potter perfect smirk, cheeky smile with dimples. ‘Quite the little heartbreaker. Drop dead gorgeous and seductive, with a sweet delicate voice. A beauty.

5′6 and a half. Model looks. Long glossy golden blonde hair that used to be more reddish as a kid. Light freckles all over her face. Big bright pale blue eyes. Quite tan skin during summer. Muscular without playing Quidditch. Freckles only on his feet. Dimples. Broad shoulders. Can’t grow facial hair. Baby soft skin. Uses a lot his veela charm. He’s very attractive and he knows it.

I’m sorry mark reaction is so much shorter than the others but i think I got the point across of what would happen with each member and their twin after the performances so there probably wasn’t a need to specify anyway.

Johnny: Johnny’s twin had come to see one of their concerts to support his bro. Johnny had known he was going to visit so he told the guards to let him in and lead him backstage where the members were getting prepared and rehearsing their lines. “Hey guys this is my clone h/t/n, didn’t the scientists do such a great job on him? Now you’ve all been blessed with the presence of two gods instead of one.” His twin would be embarrassed by the introduction but greet each NCT member nonetheless once they simmered down from chuckling and cringing. 

As time passed Johnny and h/t/n coincidentally found themselves having the need to visit the restroom and luckily there was more than one backstage, however, Johnny found himself having to race for the last one since his twin had claimed the first one. As they were both doing their business the rest of NCT and the managers were roaming around in search for him since there were only moments until the show began. Low and behold, just in time, they found him, or so they thought. 

When h/t/n came out of the bathroom first NCT surrounded him and began walking to the stage. At first h/t/n thought that they were just going to go separate ways once they reached the stairs to the stage and he saw the exit that led to the stands but his brother’s band mates continued to surround him and pull on his arm every time he tried to leave as they got closer until he realized that they thought he was Johnny. He’d try to explain to them that they had the wrong twin but they kept on walking and before he knew it he was going up the steps onto the stage with NCT. 

Once Johnny was finished, he headed out to the waiting area to find the place empty. he thought he’d heard his band members calling for him earlier so maybe they had already headed to the stairs and were waiting for him there once he got there though he was shocked at what he found. It was too late to stop the music and he couldn’t just run on stage and drag h/t/n away so he braced himself for the inevitable downfall that was sure to happen when any of his parts came up. Luckily it was a comeback performance though so there’d only be one song for his twin to perform but still , he doubted the h/t/n knew any of the dance moves or his lines and, even if he did, he certainly wouldn’t know the exact vocals or steps he’d need to take in order to not run into anyone but oh how he’d been proven wrong.

As the song went on Johnny was shocked to find out that his twin was doing just fine with the dance. “Maybe this won’t be a complete disaster after all” he hoped, he still had to worry about what would happen when his rap lines came though so he wasn’t too hopeful. When his rap lines came up another shock struck him like a speeding train, his twin was doing it! and he was doing it well! Johnny would be so happy that he’d sing along from backstage as he watched his bro perform and when the performance finished and everyone headed back to the waiting room Johnny would give h/t/n the largest bear hug in human history and tell him how proud he was and how great he’d been! The members would now be shocked and continuously ask if this was some prank but once they had proof that it wasn’t after asking questions that only the true Johnny could answer, they’d congratulate h/t/n just like Johnny had. His mangers would then approach h/t/n and give them the recommendation to audition for SM which his twin would agree to and weeks later, SM would announce that Johnny had a twin brother who is currently in training but would debut very soon with their newest boy band.

Taeyong: One of the makeup artists had called Taeyong away to fix up some eye shadow that became smudged when h/t/n had accidentally touched him when he pointed out some guck that Taeyong needed to get out of his eyelashes. Low and behold, the makeup artist had to wipe off all of the eye shadow from that eye and start over, thankful there wasn’t much to put on though otherwise he’d have to go on stage with only half his makeup “on fleek.” Unfortunately though, the makeup artist lost track of time and did not hurry with reapplying the makeup. By the time she was done and Taeyong went back to the waiting room, his band mates and twin brother were gone. 

Taeyong only felt slightly worried, thinking that maybe they had just began walking towards the stairs to the stage before waiting there for a few minutes like they usually do and that h/t/n had gone with them to see more “behind the scenes” of the concert stadium.  When Taeyong got to the stairs e worry escalated to complete dread as he saw NCT and h/t/n already standing in front of the crowds. When he tried to walk out there and send his twin back some guards blocked him and wouldn’t let him through. he did all he could to explain that he was the real Taeyong and that his twin brother was the one who was on stage but needed to be here but they wouldn’t listen so he had to step back and fearfully watch as the curtains opened and the music started. 

Taeyong became tense when he saw his twin look back and notice him backstage. They both gave each other worried looks and he could see his brother mouthing the words “They wouldn’t listen to me. What do I do?!” Taeyong tensed up, knowing that this wasn’t going to go down well so he mouthed “just do your best please!” Once the NCT members began dancing and singing he was tense down to the very core, his hands were balled into fists that he held up in front of his mouth, his entire body was so tensed he could feel the restriction of his own breath. “Please do good please do good please do good!”

H/T/N danced to the best of his abilities, it was better than Taeyong imagined but there were still plenty of mistakes and he could see that the members and staff were beginning to notice that something was up. The major blow happened when Taeyong’s part came up, poor h/t/n had no clue what to sing since this was their newest song that they were performing, there was only a few words that meekly escaped from h/t/n’s voice before he went completely mute on stage and he froze in place, causing Yuta to crash into him which caused a domino effect.

When the music was cut and the crowds had been told to go and wait in the hallway while the NCT members got up and would be checked for injuries, that’s when Taeyong was allowed to go onstage and help everyone get off of the floor. He first helped his brother, who was crying and kept mumbling about how ashamed he was of himself. “It’s ok” Taeyong assured him with a pat on the back, “I would’ve done the same thing if I had been you. Don’t be so hard on yourself.” He’d move on to helping Yuta up and then Mark while the rest seemed to have already gotten up to their feet, when each NCT member looked toward’s the crying “Taeyong” they noticed that he hadn’t been wearing the right outfit while “h/t/n” was and each of the staff and NCT members put one and one together, realizing they had grabbed the wrong twin and forced him to perform onstage. They would all apologize profusely on their major mistake and let h/t/n go and stand backstage while the NCT members got ready to re-perform their song, with the REAL Taeyong this time, to the crowd that was now refilling their rightful seats in the stadium. Before the music began though, Taeyong would look back at his twin and mouth “I’m sorry. Everything will be ok. You did your best.”

Jaehyun: Jaehyun would go and stand somewhere in the crowd where he knows that his twin would spot him sooner rather than later, probably off to the farthest front row corner where no one likes to sit. Low and behold, h/t/n does notice him just as he had expected and h/t/n sends him a pleading look. Jaehyun would find a way to communicate without shouting over the crowd or drawing attention to himself and since he knew there’s nothing much he could do to save his twin he came up with the only thing he thought could possibly lessen the disaster, he’d start doing the dance moves in order to help his brother out hoping that his twin would take the hint and follow his lead. 

NCT, but especially the fans, would immediately notice that something’s off with “Jaehyun” when the music had started but he wasn’t dancing along but by that time it’d be too late to stop, at least for the duration of their first song performance. Sooner rather than later the band members would figure out what was going on when they’d find “Jaehyun’s twin” in the front row DANCING and MIME-ING “Jaehyun’s” lines. They’d all feel so guilty for not noticing before they had pulled h/t/n on stage with them rather than the real Jaehyun, even if they were twins surly they should’ve been more aware and cautious when it had been time to head onto the stage.  

When the first song ended NCT would halt the concert to tell them that they were going to send “Jaehyun” backstage for a few moments to be checked by staff to make sure he’s doing ok. This would be Jaehyun’s and h/t/n’s cue to go backstage and switch places as quickly as possible before the fans would go crazy thinking that he’s going to faint or be sick or something. ‘Are you ok?” he’d ask his twin when they met up backstage to switch places “yeah, I’m fine” he’d say non convincingly, sweat running down his face and his face flushed. “Don’t worry it’s over now, I’m sorry this happened to you but you did the best you could. Good job.”

Jaehyun would give his twin a proud shake of his shoulder before turning his attention back to switching places and ran up the stairs onto the stage to join NCT for the rest of the concert. H/T/N would go to his proper seat and stand there with a new appreciation for what his brother does and how hard he has to work and for what fears he has to mask, if he has any, especially when it comes to stage fright like he’d had. When the concert ends h/t/n would be called to go backstage where all of NCT would apologize for the mistake, including Jaehyun, then he’d be given a ride home by a staff person rather than waiting for a late night bus to arrive at the venue to pick him up. 

Mark: Haechan was sick so he had been told to stay at the dorms but he came to support his band members anyway. When Mark walked into the waiting room after going to get a quick sip of water he asked where everyone else had gone. “Oh Mark and the others went to perform, you wanna go watch them from backstage with me?” Haechan would ask, “Go and watch?! I’m the one who needs to be performing with them! I’M MARK! Seriously how could none of you have noticed the difference?!” “Oh, is that why you didn’t seem to know what you were doing when you needed to round up Chenle and Jaemin? Oh, I mean is that why h/t/n….” “YES THAT’S WHY! Because he’s not ME!” 

Mark would run to the backstage hall that leads to the stage with a sick and struggling Haechan following him but just as he reached it the music for “We Young” began to play. Mark knew it was too late and he stood in place, praying that h/t/n wouldn’t have a heart attack on stage or something like that. “Well You’re going to get quite the earful from our managers when we get back to the dorms now aren’t you mr. REAL Mark?” “Shut up and just pray that we leave out of here without h/t/n completely destroying the place beforehand ok” “ Sure, whatever. H/T/N does seem to be doing pretty good so far though if you ask me.” Mark would consider what Haechan pointed out and agreed, “Yeah, yeah he actually is doing a good job isn’t he?” “yeah, even better than you most of the time” “Hey, now you really can shut up.” “Never!”

Day 5a/5b

So today pretty much sliced itself into to halves...thanks Jet Lag! 🙈 I woke up at 4am and rolled around in and out of sleep, and by 5am I was fully awake. At 7am I gave up counting sheep and attempting to do my deep yoga breathing (sorry mom didn't work this time) and went to breakfast. Why do bodies refuse to fall asleep when they're so tired?! Luckily breakfast is great here and the coffee machine is on fleek so I treated myself to 3 cups before taking a morning walk. I came back in time to regroup with the company and head to Don Men Primary school. I kept repeating "I'm not tired😀" to myself and it worked surprisingly well! On our way, we passed soldiers practicing their gun step routine to music from the imperial march. I'm a huge Star Wars fan so I found the music choice particularly tasteful--these Taiwanese soldiers really know how to get a crowd on their side. When we entered the school, we were bombarded with hundreds of children squealing and running around the massive courtyard. I have never seen so many happy kids in my life!! It was like a beehive of electrified cuteness! The students that took today's masterclass were younger than yesterday but equally hardworking and willing to please. They were also so Emily amused! I demonstrated a barely mediocre (and that's still a stretch) triple pirouette and I felt like I had won and Olympic gold medal from all the cheering and applause. I don't think I've ever felt better about myself! I really wish I could have recorded their cheers to play on demand when I'm getting down on myself. They're just too sweet and happy! Omar and Lieneke performed Andy Carrol's "3am" pas de deux (the best I've seen it, btw) at the end of the masterclass and every single kid was mesmerized. Watching their faces was the most rewarding part of the day. I love that we have the opportunity to do outreach exchanges while we're here, it reminds me about how I found my love for dancing and the arts! For lunch, we headed to a food truck across the street that had burgers. Being vegetarian, I opted for some snacks I had packed, but I enjoyed seeing the other dancers experience the Asian take on the American classic. Instead of a bread bun, the truck offered sticky rice patties to encase the meat. What a fun idea! Unfortunately, the burgers became much less fun after we had been rehearsing in the humid studio for several hours. Personally, I felt much better than yesterday (of course yesterday set a low bar), but my poor parter Michael did not. If you read yesterday's post, you know Michael is the poor guy I almost puked on when I went abroad in November and returned severely jet lagged...well now we can call it even! After having to run "Ne Me Quitte Pas" twice in a row he promptly left the studio and relinquished his burger to the trash can. No more Taiwanese cheeseburgers for you, Michael!😝 By the end of our rehearsal day the powers of my "I'm not tired" chant were rapidly waning. I immediately walked back to the hotel with Omar and Nata (passing through and massive Christian Taiwanese worship festival along the way, Hallelujah!) and passed out for 4 hours. WHAT?! For those of you who know me, I'm a terrible napper so I was in disbelief. As a little girl I would cry waking up from naps because I felt like I missed out on the day. Butttt it was probably for the best since I haven't gotten a decent night of sleep for almost a week. Hence the feeling of a two part day. For day 5b, I met up with a big group of dancers and we ventured to the best known night market, the Shilin Night market. Yawowza! So many streets and alleys and streets within alleys and nooks and ohmygoodness. But it was great! Stephaen and I killed the souvenir shopping game (a lucky reader might even benefit from tonight's treasures!) and we found a few things for ourselves. Most random/best find for the night: 15 fake eyelash sets for the US equivalent of $3.33. I'll never have to spend tons of money at CVS (they're usually 5 bucks a pop) for performance lashes again! Woop! The best food of the night was the grilled wasabi mushroom bites. They were so juicy and flavorful! Nommm. The vegetable pancakes with a fried egg came in second. White corn on a stick was a distant third...I'll keep to my USA midwestern corn thankya! Now it's 2am so bedtime for sure. Hopefully I can sleep after my weird 2-part day! Zi Chin! Goodbye! 😎Kate
